President Hotel Villa

Location was excellent and having a roof pool was a bonus. The room was quite small especially when travelling with a medium sized suitcase each. Not a lot of wardrobe space either to hang something. Bathroom was a decent size though. Location and price makes up for it though.

Had a great stay at the President. Breakfast was good. Room was nice sized with a balcony. The front desk manager was so helpful and accommodating and Javon the concierge was excellent and helped us with our bags. I recommend this location for good quality economic stay in south beach

Expedia showed pictures of the balconies that were nothing like what we got. I felt mislead. My only complaint is that the pool closed at 7pm and I went there thinking I would go on a night swim on the rooftop pool. That was disappointing. All in all the staff was great, very clean rooms, and good breakfast. I’d stay here again.

We had a great night’s stay here. The staff were so welcoming and helpful from the moment we arrived. The location is ideal for quick access to Miami South Beach, with plenty of restaurants and shops right on the doorstep. The lovely rooftop pool and complimentary welcome drink were an added bonus. We would definitely recommend staying here and would happily return.

Check in was horrible 1 overwhelmed guy at desk with a line. Forgot about me when my time for checkin. Room given was on hotels.com change your mind list until complained and given ad as proof. Then given what was promised. Exhaust shower fan disconnected. Staff very exceptional and try their best but you need to know Spanish. Breakfast good for free. Complementaries have to ask for. Morning room service every 3 days. Location excellent. Bell hop Kevin awesome and very helpful. Made the stay better. Only ice maker on 1st floor.

Great location in South Beach. Nice bright room but could do with an extra chair for sitting on so you don’t have to always sit on the bed. Also some shelving in the bathroom for toiletries. Small & busy breakfast space but luckily the weather was good when we stayed so we could use the outdoor seating area. Hot breakfast was served by staff presumably for portion control. But otherwise good options & reasonable quality. Onsite bar was convenient. Would stay again.

The bathroom was a complete disaster — very old and not as clean as expected. Overall, we were really disappointed and expected much better for the price.

It was close to everything. They actually have a really good breakfast set up! We were on a staycation and it was perfect.

Breakfast buffet was amazing but make sure to get there at 7:30am because around 9am it gets packed and it’s hard to find seats. There’s additional seating outside and in the patio but if there's rain you have to sit inside

The rooftop pool is a nice feature, though a bit on the smaller side. The location is definitely a highlight—very central and walkable, making it easy to explore everything South Beach has to offer. The room itself was comfortable for a short stay, although there was a noticeable smoke smell. Aside from that, everything met my expectations. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for its location, service, and thoughtful amenities.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights before boarding a cruise. The hotel was convenient to the cruise ship port as well as easy walking distance to the beach and restaurants. The room was comfortable and service was great. We loved the hot breakfast each morning. Definitely recommend!

The line to check in was slow as there was often 1 person and many people waiting The valet was a bit of a wait as well Biggest issue was the valet charge from when I booked to check in was a $20 difference.

Everything was great! The staff was helpful and thoughtful. Our room was very clean and they gave us plenty of towels, including a beach towel. The bar is only open from 4pm to 10pm and I wish it was open longer but it was great when open. The concierge service was very good and free. We used it both before checkin and after checkout. I would definitely stay there again.

The President hotel gave us generous breakfast every morning, 2 free welcome drinks, free beach towels daily and 2 free bottles of water a day. A very nice Reception staff, Michael, breakfast staff, and bar staff. Only thing is that room was not serviced for our 5 days stay.

The room was not at all like the photo of it. It was bare bones, the minimum. No coffee pot. One chair. NO bureau, only a night table in which to put clothes. Only two pieces of art on the wall, way up high over the bed. Everything was white. The breakfast was awful. The electrical closet bordered my room, and some mechanical noise occurred every few minutes. The lounge chairs were very uncomfortable. The location was good, however, and the bed was comfortable. The room was also clean but hard to appreciate that when the furniture was all nicked and beat up. The staff was nice enough. The final indignity was when I went to check out, I had to walk on a walkway that was being sprinkled with water for the bushes, but it soaked my slacks and suitcase.

Room was clean only had a problem with the toilet it took them awhile to come fix it the breakfast was good and staff definitely did everything they could to make our stay comfortable even until check out they held our bags for us because we had a later flight from our check out.

Good location, nice swimming pool. Very good breakfast buffet, and I appreciated the welcome drink. The room was basic, with a big poster, and the decoration felt kitschy. We asked to see the room first and they refused, which was disappointing and unnecessary. I always do this and reception usually agrees, especially when there were two receptionists and no one waiting.

I want to give special thanks to Henry at the front desk — his service was outstanding. He was incredibly kind, caring, and attentive, and truly made us feel welcome. It’s rare to meet someone who cares so genuinely about guests. Breakfast was included, the price was very fair, and the location is perfect. The hotel is close to the beach but on the second line, which makes it quiet and peaceful. The nearby beach is also very nice. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily come back again.

Breakfast was better than La Quinta, but not especially good. Balcony was worthless, no view and over a noisy alleyway.

While the location is convenient and close to the beach, the stay itself was very unpleasant. The room was tiny, with no real windows, making it feel cramped and uncomfortable. The staff were unfriendly and unwelcoming. Aside from the location, there was nothing positive about this hotel. I would not recommend it.

On top of that, I encountered some bugs in the room, which made the stay less comfortable.

The property was located next to several shopping areas and restaurants. It was in a decent location to the water. I love being able to rent bikes and get coffee. I asked for two beds during booking. I traveled with a male friend and my son. I booked five months before our travel date. When we got to the hotel, the only thing available was a king size bed. They stated the hotel was booked in and they cannot accommodate our request for two beds. They stated they would send a rollaway bed up to our room, but they never did had to sleep in a bed with a friend and my son. They stated the reason was because we checked in so late, but I let them know right after booking we would be arriving late. Also, the air conditioner leaked, and there was water all over the floor. I reported it they came up and fixed it but the next day it did the very same thing. They stated breakfast was included, but my son did not have a ticket. I was told if I had any trouble to go back up and they would give him one when I went back to the desk, the front desk, lady stated I needed to pay for it. That was fine, but my son is 12 and did not eat very much.

Henry was fabulous and was very helpful. Breakfast was very good and well run. Bar drinks delicious. We were in room 103 and the water in the shower would not get hot, even after several minutes.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay but I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to friends. Night reception on 11/6 was rude to several people, including us. Morning reception ladies were great. Dining area is too crowded and you need someone to coordinate it. Too many rude guests just taking up space or cutting in lines, shouting across the area, etc. your method of tracking who paid takes too long. Why give tickets if they need to be double checked. Room was ok but our room phone didn’t work and was not fixed after reporting it. Hot water was intermittent. Need to include your “destination fees” on the website price. It’s a scam that everyone is doing and it’s not ethical. It’s not fun to arrive and be charged an additional $150 dollars.

Room was clean and patio was great, not too much privacy but still enjoyed it. The bartender Michael, i believe was his name was awesome and very helpful and drinks were great ! Cons hardly had cold water which was a bit annoying and our tv was not working completely. Was a bit disappointed with the pool being out of service. When i booked room it stated pool would be ok on my day 2 of stay then it said 1 more day n then it said weeks to be repaired. Daily fee said it basically covered a few things including pool but we had no pool....

Hi I love how everytging is walkable the room was spacious and i stayed at a villa which we love but the pool was super dirty ..Plus expedia tell you onw thing and qhen you get there there is a 116 fee for the breakfast.not good

We were exceptionally pleased with our stay, the staff was amazing and it was a very convenient walk to the beach. Very close to all the great places to eat.

Our reservation was for the President Villa section of the hotel (an annex to the main President hotel). Front desk check in was quick and easy, hotel offers complimentary buffet breakfast and a free welcome cocktail per adult (limited choice but nice touch). Rooftop pool is in the villa section, moderate size. Room is bright, clean, has a mini fridge, safe, ironing board and iron.

AC did not work, windows cant be opened either. We had No AC for 2 nights before we were finally placed in a smaller room with AC for our last night.

Great location walkable to everything and one block from South Beach. Large room and comfortable bed. No noise from surrounding rooms. Rooftop pool nice but closed by 7pm so no sunset views. Breakfast was ok - choice limited to cereal, eggs, sausages, waffles, toast.

Nice and clean hotel, staff are kind and inviting. Only takeaway was the fact that walls are a tad thin so if you have Neanderthals above you like we did, you will most certainly hear them.. otherwise it was a great place in the heart of the action in south beach.

We had a room with a window overlooking the small alley between the two buildings, so it wasn't at all usable for bringing in light. There was a desk in the room, so there was no way to store your things or put them anywhere other than on the floor. Bathroom cleaning was very poor, and we had to ask twice to have it cleaned. Breakfast was also very disappointing, with little choice and no possibility of refilling.

Also, robes and slippers should be supplied for every room as well as an extra blanket. And a must is a coffee maker! Please have that in your hotel rooms. We stayed in the President Villa. The room was a great size and balcony was amazing. But the lack of some amenities was disappointing.

LOCATION AND VERY FRIENDLY STAFF especially Mr. Henry and Mr. Kevon ❤️! Pool on the roof of the hotel, organization and direct access past the Pengvin hotel on Ocean drive ? The room was small, not 20 m2 as stated, and the only window in the room, which was also small and only opened with difficulty, looked out onto the wall of the neighboring building! Instead of a closet, there were a couple of hangers in the corner above the refrigerator, where you could only hang a shirt or jacket, nothing else. The room (306) is only suitable for one person, not for a couple coming for several nights!

The resort-upgrade section had rooftop pool as bonus, large,clean spacious room, which was a little wasted for a solo traveler.

Although we didn't take advantage of it enough the hotel served breakfast every morning. Front desk staff awesome and very accommodating. A few times we had minor issues in our room and front desk staff would have maintenance up to our room in a matter of minutes. Minor drawback. A lot of hotel staff seemed not to know how to speak english well but front desk would let maintenance know the exact problem we were having and when they would arrive to our room we didnt need to talk that much because front desk already gave them the run down. I think hotel is in the best section of south beach. Beach 1 block away and walgreens across the street.

Price includes breakfast and welcome cocktail, and beach access. Receptionists and all staff were very friendly and professional, especially Lourdes at the front desk. The hotel was booked with a mix of families, tourists and business people. Nice and confortable rooms. Will definitely stay again at this hotel.

The showers do not get over barely warm. The Manager (the cat) is very sweet and a highlight of the stay. The rooftop pool was very nice but needed a couple more shaded seating options. Overall happy with our stay.

Our room was not ready at check in. They switched our room and provided another. Everything in it was corroded. The mirrors and lamps were severely aged with large black spots all over them. The leather bench at the end of the bed had the leather flaking off. I live in Florida and this is from poor humidity management and need for replacement. The breakfast was ok but none of this was worth the price or description provided. The pool was tiny. I would never stay again or recommend to anyone.

Henry (at the reception desk) was helpful and friendly). The buffet breakfast was a good way to start the day. We loved the rooftop pool and great location (close to the beach and within walking distance of a wide array of restaurants. The only downside was that the bathroom was small and needed updating.

This is an outdated holiday inn that uses creative photography, stay clear

We specifically paid for a villa penthouse room based off the pictures online which showed it looking down on a palm-lined street. The room we got was in the center of the building with the outside deck sounded by all hotels looking into the privacy’ area. We did not use it once. Not worth the money. Secondly, the elevator to access the pool was broken and no signage on how to get to it other than exploring the emergency exit stairwells for almost an hour. The valet was pricey and you have to pay upfront and not reliable to get your car quickly. Finally, breakfast was fine.

The king bed rooms are much larger and have better facilities and worth the upgrade.

Great location and that is it!! Rooms are over priced for the size, they are the size of a bedroom, no fridge and the ice machine in hotel didn't work. We had a roach in our room 1st night, killed it and told front desk. She offered to come clean our room in which i declined telling her it was probably just random but I'd give a deep clean tomorrow when we leave and then we saw another!! Instantly threw all of our food and drinks away. It felt so dirty, could barely sleep. I would never stay again

Don’t be fooled by the pictures online and good reviews . The rooms are dirty and small . The complimentary breakfast is cold they serve the same few dishes everyday . If you don’t eat pork you’re out of luck . They don’t serviced your room . No manager to speak too when you have complaints . Only one front desk agent doing a multiple of tasks at once when you need assistance . By far my worse experience at a hotel .

Horrible, you may like it for the location but everything about it was bad, the customer service was horrible at check-in, street parking was so expensive, pool was closed and the walls are paper thin, I could hear every conversation next door. Would never stay here again.

This hotel was fine for an overnight stay. The room was extremely basic and clean. The outlets are old (so a plug doesnt stay in) too few and inconveniently located in the room.We arrived late 10:30 (flight delay) check in was tedious and unpleasant. The resort fees are high especially when you aren't able to utilize the amenities (bar closed at 10 on Thursday, so no welcome drink) no one in my party eats breakfast & we were gone by 10 am. I wouldn't return.

Everything was great until we wanted to take a shower before we checked out in the morning. We had cold water. I called the front desk and they told me to just leave it running for a while because I must be the first person up. This was at 7:15am. He said if that didn't work to call back and they would send maintenance when they arrived for the day, which is after we checked out. So we took cold showers. Then the breakfast was pretty gross. The scrambled eggs were very runny and the bacon was RAW. The toast and bagels were very lightly toasted and served cold with ice cold butter.

This is a handy tip for people who thinks the shower pressure is not good. I felt the same on our first night staying there but then I figured it out the second day. If you are getting water coming out from the ring around the shower head as well then that’s when you may notice weak water pressure. All you need to do is turn the screw/dial thing above the shower connected to the tube until there’s only water coming through the shower head not the ring then you adjust the water for the shower head by rotating the flap/turning thing on the shower head then you are all good. The water pressure might not be as good as home but definitely better than using the ring/shower head at the same time. Hope this helps. We had a great stay here. Nice breakfast, walking distance to most things we wanted to see at South Beach.

Checkin attendant was super friendly and helpful. Pool attendant was also helpful and nice. My one night stay was excellent.

they change the Hotel to the next one and didn't give me a Villa, they gave me a regular Room. The Hotel next is the same owner.

No problem with anything it was perfect.

This boutique hotel was in the heart of Miami Beach’s art deco district and a short walk to the beach. The breakfast was decent but very crowded, loud & chaotic. The room was clean but Very minimalist. Limited outlets & no USB ports. No place to really put bags or toiletries. No real closet & if you wanted to access the fridge or hangers you had to move the ironing board. No mirror other than in the bathroom. Shower was either burning hot or a cold dribble. Pool on the roof was nice, though, and pool & beach towels were provided. Hotel staff was helpful but we got taken in by the desk staff who pushed us to book with Miami Tours and the whole set up was sketchy. I expect better advice from hotel staff. Also, though the front porch area was nice, no one at the hotel did anything to enforce the No Smoking Or Vaping signs posted everywhere, and in fact brought one guest an ashtray!! Ridiculous. The Valet Parking $20 sign is a bait & switch since that is for just 2 hours. Website says $39.95/day but it was over $40/day & you had to wait 20 minutes to get your car. Lots of wonderful sights & restaurants within walking distance, and a 24 hr Walgreens right on the nearby corner. The street was very busy & loud but you couldn’t hear it from the room.

Nice older hotel in a very good location. Many restaurants in the area and close to the beach.

It was fine. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Disappointed that when you reach the desk they offer rooms much cheaper and you can’t change what you have so it leaves you feeling like you were taken.

They charge us $33 resort fee, $150 deposit on the room, and $35 parking fee. I had fully paid for the room so I didn't like this. The room was clean but stark. No dresser, coffee pot or microwave. The bathroom has no place but the back of the toilet to but your bathroom stuff. The a/c didn't work & had to call for maintenance. very few staff spoke any English.There was just a bed and 1 plastic chair. Not a comfortable room. Was told even with the valet parking it was not safe to leave anything in our car. Not the place for elderly or handicapped.

I didn't get the room that I paid for but Malik made sure that we were comfortably in every way possible. Thanks to him our stay was relaxing.

We didnt get into a room untill after 5pm. Dont mind having tonwait , but the communication was not on a comfortable level. I had to keep going to the front desk to check availability and after seeing me for 2 hours it was as if i was new and asking for the 1st time. No eye contact or acknowledgement untill your turn! We did get to go to the pool eventually, but didnt get towels, or water. I feel the front was overwhelmed. I didnt get my booked room or upgrade that was paid for. They did comphensate a tourist fee for 2 days. They did hold our bags and all the staff in the hotel were above excellent and provided great service.

The rooms are not like the ones that been promoted in the internet the never been cleaned or even pick up the trash in the rooms or bring the most basic items needed like bathroom paper or shampoo etc

Welcome drinks are good and strong, but remember the extra receipts are your drink tickets. I wish the pool deck had been open even if it was raining.

The room was large but could use some updated furniture. The beds were not very comfy. Very minimal furniture to such a large room. Outlets didn’t all work which was a pain. The tv was also a pain bc it went in and out. The pool was supposed to be open from 8-8 but it wasn’t open at the times listed, which was frustrating. The valley was a pain bc you had to wait 20 mins when you wanted the car.

Excellent property, clean and comfortable bed and rooms. The pool wasn't available due to the rain/storms. The breakfast free was very nice!! I love the free drink at cocktail hour. Over all very clean and I will return! Perfect area and I love the additional garden area in the back of the hotel. Friendly staff and Front Desk. My room was not ready until 2pm but the good thing is, the front desk hold your luggage in a secure area and you can change and go to the beach or just walk around town until your room is ready. Great Everything if you ask me.

Mr Henry is a Gem! Breakfast was always delicious. Loved Happy Hour and the hours!! I most definitely will come back and stay. I highly recommend this hotel as a place to stay.

It was a comfortable stay with clean rooms. The staff were helpful and the wifi worked. The room wasn’t ready by check in time and was a bit delayed but other than that things were smooth.

Great location as a block away from main beach. Breakfast was good rooms only serviced every 3 days but was a 2 night stay was serviced once but was ok. Staff were awesome and helpful at reception and the free water was good. Wasn’t able to access the pool even did the stairs with others tenants but all locked and the lift never allowed as access especially as it was hot an alternative from the beach other than that all was good. Public transport was assessable from Washington Rd which was good esp free Trolley. The view was directly to other units which was a downer

Room was nice and cool and bed comfortable. Shower was quite good but hotel looked a bit tired. Breakfast was a bit of a free for all. Area is noisy through to all hours.
