I would not stay here again. It was a cheap loud place at a busy intersection. The place was ran down.

On y a mangé SOUVENT!!! Tout était délicieux! Je recommande cette hôtel , et c’est certain que si je reviens à Miami, je vais revenir au Oceanside :)

Close proximity to the beach. The front desk lady was really sweet. The restaurant took forever. Not that I guess we were in any hurry.... Also, the stairs were a pain that we had to climb to get to our room with luggage. Also we asked for more towels that were never delivered. My husband had to drive from a shower with a hand towel lol.

It was nasty, I was itching, just disgusting

The stairs going up to the room has a terrible smell almost unbearable. They only serve coffee from 8am Nobody was there when I wanted to check out at 5 am

Everything was amazing... The room, the breakfast, the employees...

It was listed as non smoking property and I booked the stay. Ironically it was not and smells rotten and horrible. And the receptionist was rude and not answering properly to questions. Such a terrible way of receiving people.

Great hotel and location. The staff at the tavern is top tier. I was disappointed in the bathroom towels. Multiple days there weren’t towels available.

the stay was great and the location was perfect, however, I would suggest for the carpet to be cleaned and for the staff to let patrons know that there is a microwave available. I had no idea that there was a microwave until I went for ice on my last day there... I had thrown away so much good food because I did not know about it... C'est la vie...oh and on one day, our room was half serviced even though we had our do not disturb sign up... I do not like my room to be serviced without knowing about it...that was quite confusing and it disturbed me a bit...

I stayed there for barely 4 hours overnight and was still forced to pay a $35 USD amenities fee, even though the amenities were CLOSED during my stay. Charging guests for unavailable services is unacceptable. The worst part was the mattress quality — cheap, uncomfortable garbage. It was so bad that I ended up sleeping on the floor instead of the bed. On top of that, there was no staff assistance available during my stay when help was needed. Overall, this hotel was a complete waste of money and one of the worst stays I’ve experienced. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
- 4/5
There was NO ELEVATOR. The hotel couldn’t find my hotel reservation upgrade so I was booked into a basic room but in the morning there was a note on the door regarding my upgrade. The upgrade and canceled one of my resort fee. I got an apology for the loss of my own and accommodate you nicely. The new room was amazing. I couldn’t be happier everything was awesome thank you Oceanside Hotel for everything.

Liked the restaurant next to the place. Really didn’t enjoy the place that much as I had better expectations. Didn’t feel they show how it actually is. Pool was closed and can’t be used, feels like the place is old and need maintainance, beds were old and not comfortable, location wasn’t the greatest.

Amy was a great help during check-in. However, in the room one of the bed mattresses was sagging and super uncomfortable. The TV remote couldn’t change channels and the hotel is not oceanside…should be renamed Streetside.

I then contacted the company I used to book the hotel, and they told me the same thing—that they needed to contact management. They promised I would receive my refund within 3 days, but I never received any response or refund. If you are under 21, do not even think about booking here. This is one of the worst policies I have ever seen. If you are a traveler under 21, it feels like they are telling you to sleep on the street. This is not how people should be treated.

Very hard to navigate and kind of a weird location. Staff could’ve been nicer and more helpful. The room is huge though which is nice

Great place is you’re not staying long. It has a funky layout (you cut through the restaurant) to get to some of the rooms. Restaurant staff was awesome!

2) The room was dirty and we had toilet issues that made the room smell so bad. Someone came in and poured something in the toilet. It helped the smell for 1 day and it was back. 3) Nobody came in to clean or even empty the trash. We asked for the sheets to be changed. Came back from the day and it still wasn’t changed. We went to the front desk and they said someone would be up. When they came up they handed the sheets to us to do. 4) The pool in the picture online looks big. It is the smallest pool I have ever seen at a Hotel. Overall: Website it very deceiving to say the least. We will never return to this dirty place. Note to oneself: Don’t ever go through Expedia again!!!!
- 4/5
I think the experience would depend on the room you book! No complaints with staff or the property. You get what you pay for!
- 4/5
We didn’t have breakfast here but the tavern was excellent and had a great breakfast menu
- 5/5
I stayed here for 3 nights. Property was very clean, each day they came to make our bed and provide us with clean towels. The staff were very friendly, greeted us every time we walked in and out. They have a bar/restaurant, I only ate breakfast twice there and it was a 10/10. Only thing that was disappointing was the pool was not open during our stay but we were just about a 5 minute walk from the amazing beach. I would definitely stay again in the future.
- 5/5
The staff was so fantastic! Angel and Isabella went above and beyond the normal level of excellence. From check in to even helping us out with lost luggage having it delivered to there personal home to bring it in for us. I would say that anyone needing a place to stay come stay here! Ask for Angel or Isabella.

The hotel was clean and located in a decent area, near trolly, bus-stops, and easy pick up and drop off for ride share. The beach is less than 10 min away and there are amenities that are easy to walk to for any items or restaurants you may need. The restaurant's food was very good. The room was nice and fit our needs. But, the best part of the hotel is the staff. They were amazing from the front desk to the restaurant and bar. We had a small issue of noise in our original room. The front desk and manager were responsive and changed our room as soon as they could. They were accommodating, responsive, patient, and wonderfully helpful. On top of it, the happy hour was fun and on the house for guests. I would recommend staying here any time you are visiting

The suite was so cute and clean!! It was very spacious, had some dishes to cook, the bed was so comfortable! Staff was also very nice. In addition to that, the location was good and the patio area was so cute!! My friend and I had a very comfortable stay here.

The worse, dirtiest, moldiest and stinky hotel “aka” resort we’ve ever stayed in. I’m not even sure where the stars that they currently have came from…mail in ballot? Do not stay, unless you want to catch a foot infection in a shower or cut your toe on a broken floor tile. Don't get me started with the walls, pealing paint, or some sort of water damage that perhaps occurred in 1950 and they’ve been putting new paint over and over again on those walls instead of fixing the main issue first. The toilet paper dispenser looks like has been replaced 1,000 times and instead of patching up the wall, the just move it an inch lower so it sticks to the wall. Ours was almost at the bottom of the wall, few more stays and they will run out of a wall. The stink in the room and the hallways was beyond normal. I had to keep my breath while walking to the room. You had to keep your room super cold for the stank to be bearable. The carpet in the hallways and stairs…just no! Get rid of it, in fact get rid of the hotel because I’m not even sure how it’s still operating. The pictures and description of the hotel on the Expedia website is false advertisement, it does not look like that. AI did a good job getting those pics cleaned up. Oh the pool, the size of a bathtub and you get charged resort fee, what resort? Disgusting
- 1/5
My room smelled like mildew, tub was dirty, tv did not work, staff was not helpful at all
- 2/5
One of the most terrible experience I had , I did not like nothing from this place , whatever they showed on pictures did not match with the actuall place , bad I planned a whole week here and couldn’t stay for a minute, as soon as i walked into the room the bad odor and humidity turn me off , then stain sheets and finger nails under the bed , dirty floors etc sorry but not , not dresser for clothes, very poor conditions and cleanliness here , then trying to get my money back thru Expedia , the worse they are a whole bunch of scammers. No ever again thank you .
- 2/5
I wouldn’t stay here again. It was a place to lay our heads I guess. The hotel charges a “resort fee” I’m not sure what part of the place is a resort. The pool is not much bigger than a bathtub. The room we stayed in was filthy. If you walked on the tile floor with no socks your feet were black. The sink is outside of the bathroom and there’s no place to lay your toiletries. Bed was hard and sunken. Only positive was the location to the beach access and stores. Oh. And if you’re not familiar with the area, you have to pay do parking everywhere because the hotel has no parking.
- 3/5
There is little to no parking. It's the worst hotel cable television I've ever seen. The ice machine and microwave are in the lobby. The pool is as small as a puddle. No elevator, But overall it's not a bad hotel. Oh you get three free drinks at the restaurant during happy hour between 5-6, you have to walk about a quarter mile to get access to the beach. If you're lucky enough to get a parking spot on the street do not move your car. It's $1.60 something an hour from 8:00 to 6:00. Then it's free from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.. But like I said overall it's not a bad hotel

The location of the hotel was inconvenient. The size of the pool was small and made no sense. The house keeping service was terrible. They would leave us with no towels and blankets. Everyday we would have to go get more towels or blankets. There were bugs in the bed. The phone in the room did not work. There were cracks in floor of the room. Definitely wouldn’t stay here again.
- 4/5
The staff was friendly and they provide excellent customer service! I would encourage you to check out your room. Had several lights

The area of hotel was nice but no parking for vehicle..the room was nice…not happy with customer service when I checked in …unfortunately will not book a room here again

Unfortunately, we had a very bad experience at this property and were not able to stay there at all. We were travelling with a 22 month old baby and right from the start we had a hard time finding the room. We were told by the receptionist to go outside turn right. We walked around the building and saw the Restaurant Tavern and asked a waiter how to enter the hotel rooms. He told us to go through some employees only door, which took us past the kitchen and up a dirty stairwell. We tried three times to get into the room that she had written down, me running back-and-forth through the restaurant to get to the reception to try three different sets of keys and as it turned out, she wrote down the wrong room number. When we finally got into the room, there was an overwhelming smell of mold. My sister had just done a month long mold detox and we couldn’t risk staying there with the baby. We noticed an air freshener in the room to try to hide the mouldy smell. The toilet also did not look very clean and there was a stain on the bed cover. Needless to say, we were hugely disappointed as we were so looking forward to being near the beach. :(
- 5/5
It was great !! Beautiful lil spot. Definitely coming back

Internet was great! Staff at the front very nice and inviting. Room was wonderful. Food was pretty good at the tavern. Bar staff were very friendly and attentive.

Room was clean
- 1/5
The suite was dirty and had a strong, unpleasant odor, both in the hallway and inside the room. It honestly felt more like a low end motel than a reputable hotel. Even more concerning, the walls featured graphic, sexually suggestive images that are entirely inappropriate for families with children. Cleanliness was a major issue. The room felt neglected, and the bathroom had hair from multiple previous guests, which was both unhygienic and disturbing. The only positive aspect of this hotel is its location. To make matters worse, when my husband asked the front desk to call a taxi to the airport early in the morning, when there was no traffic, they arranged an unmarked driver, possibly a personal contact, who charged him 100 dollars for a short ride to Miami Airport. This felt completely inappropriate and exploitative. When my husband and son arrived and took a marked cab from the airport to the hotel, the fair was only $49. Overall, this was a very disappointing and uncomfortable experience, and I would strongly advise others to look for a different hotel in the area. The restaurant nearby (Tavern) was really good and the service there was consistently excellent!
- 5/5
Professional, friendly staff, great food, clean room.
- 0.5/5
Nothing really! It had a moldy smell from the reception area to the next building. The smell was so bad that I was sick for two days. No parking my boyfriend drove with his daughter from Tampa at midnight he asked about parking they send him to a public parking lot 4 blocks down from the hotel. He was not comfortable leaving his daughter’s car in the lot they stayed up all night in the car. When I checked in I asked if all 3 rooms can be close by and when my daughter and sister checked in they put all three of us in 3 separate buildings. The receptionist looked angry like I have her stuck in a moldy building. The bar is around the corner they have happy hour from 5-6 it took me 20 minutes to get a drink because the bartender was serving everyone else, and act like she didn’t see me. I wouldn’t stay at that hotel if they gave me a room for $10! My son in law paid extra money for pool access and he was told the pool was closed and they wouldn’t refund his money. The pool was so small they should advertise it as a jacuzzi!
- 3/5
The staff was as helpful as could be.
- 1/5
Worst hotel to ever stay at the smell was horrible and they hotel staff were racists
- 0.5/5
Only thing I liked was location to the beach Service, didn’t have hot water for 2 days, cleanliness, not the room I paid and booked, hard beds, overall horrible hotel
- 3/5
The rooms were overall pretty dirty, the staff didn't seem too interested in answering any questions we had. Our bathroom door didn't close nor lock. The only good thing about this place is The Tavern. The restaurant is really good and fair priced. Otherwise mediocre stay...
- 1/5
Not what we thought we were getting. First off rooms were not ready for hrs after check in time. Then the room you get is so much smaller and not like pictured tv service was shut off due to non payment. Also says off site parking but really them mean two blocks away you can pay $50 to park in a public parking lot. I would not stay there again.
- 5/5
Some part of the door felt apart first day and we need to asked for daily items that should Be there everyday
- 1/5
Photos were deceiving, there were bugs flying everywhere, I couldn’t even eat in peace, the tv did not work, the floor was dirty, coming out of the room had a trail of the same bugs that were in the room going down the hallway. The shower was disgusting.
- 5/5
I will definitely come back and stay
- 5/5
The decor, the rooms are impeccably clean, and all the staff were very kind and helpful. Angel was awesome as well as every one of the front desk staff were patient as well as accommodating. This is my 5th stay. Regarding deposits due at check in: Every hotel in the area charges deposits, understandably. I do not mind paying 1 deposit but after adding an additional night stay It was requested another $100. Deposit & I think that is unfair. The deposit should be carried over. Then waiting 1 week for the return was unwelcome, given that I was a return customer with no history of making trouble or damaging the room. Consideration should have been made & if there is a change of staffing, follow-up on emails since I was told 1 person authorizes returns(and once they found out they acted quickly I am grateful)!
- 5/5
I want to thank Amy for her kindness,Super sweet woman. To the handsome Zack beautiful smile helpful and his kindness. A+ for the both of them

I had a terrible experience with Due to severe weather and natural disaster conditions, many flights were delayed and canceled. My flight was affected, so I tried repeatedly to contact the front desk to inform them that I would arrive late. The problem is there was absolutely no way to reach anyone. No one answered the phone, and there was no way to communicate with the hotel. Despite the fact that the delays were caused by weather and circumstances completely outside of my control, the hotel still marked me as a no-show and charged me, causing me to lose two days of the reservation that I had already paid for. This kind of lack of communication and zero flexibility for travelers dealing with flight disruptions is extremely disappointing. When customers are trying to contact you during emergencies and you make it impossible, it’s unacceptable. I strongly advise travelers to think twice before booking here, especially if you’re flying and your plans could be affected by weather or airline delays.
- 0.5/5
Nothing Jammed in the middle of the city, the building is very old and outdated. When they showed us to the room it had mold and smelled like sewage. When we went to the front desk to tell them and ask for another room they said there were no other rooms and refused to refund our money. The housekeepers said the staff was aware and that every time they clean the rooms the smell comes back an hour later. We called booking.com and they refused to refund the money as well. They said I should have read the reviews. There is a huge difference between some uncleanliness and a health hazard due to fecal matter in the air. Extremely unhappy with both companies.

Hotel has been redone & it looks nice. Location is phenomenal, especially for families as it is just a few minutes from a nice playground & the beach. But….(big but!!!!!) there is no elevator. I was going on a 14 day cruise with a 5 year old so had lots of luggage. My back was killing me by the time I lugged it all while trying to keep a 5 year old w ADHD nearby. Then again all of it back down the steps in the morning. There is a sign which says to call for help, but both times there was no staff available.
- 1/5
The restaurant smelled like a sewer. I actually think they have a drain problem, this is not a figure of speech. The room and hallways also had an unpleasant odor like mold and disinfectant. The paint in the room was chipped and peeling, floor tiles were cracked and the floor was uneven. There were long hairs in the bedding. The sink was dirty. My overall impression was the property was probably nice thirty years ago but has been neglected since. I would not consider staying there again.

TV did not work. Front desk unresponsive and also will not answer the phone. Dirty towels were removed but no new towels were left. Had to walk down and outside to the front desk entrance to get new towels myself. Toilet got stopped up. Notified front desk who stated will send maintenance but never did. I ended up walking down to get plunger and unclogged myself

Two staff members truly made our stay memorable. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Amy. She clearly loves her job and consistently goes above and beyond. Cesar was equally impressive in his own way. He was quiet, respectful, and highly professional. Both demonstrated excellent customer service skills. The location is fantastic, just a short walk to the beach and the canal. It is very convenient to hop on the free trolley to get to South Beach, and there is a Publix within about a short walk. The on-site restaurant was a pleasant surprise. The food was very good and reasonably priced. Unfortunately, I am not able to give five stars due to a few ongoing issues. One staff member working during the day on February 15 was extremely rude. When our room keys stopped working, which happened repeatedly throughout our stay, she responded with visible irritation, gave us attitude, and even rolled her eyes. It was disappointing and unprofessional. We were told the key malfunctions may have been caused by keeping them in the same purse as our cell phones. However, we are frequent travelers and have never experienced this issue before. Having to repeatedly return to the front desk to reactivate our keys was frustrating. Additionally, housekeeping was inconsistent. Our room was not cleaned daily unless we specifically requested it, and even then, the cleaning was often incomplete. Towels were left on the floor and basic tidying was overlooked, despite our leaving tips each time.

When I checked in I had to provide my ID I game the clerk my identification card and he never gave it back to me he kept it. He knew I just checked in why he didn’t contact me or bring it to my room? Instead he placed it in a small envelope and sat it behind the desk. I stayed 3 whole days. When I got to the airport to check I missed my flight and had to come back to the hotel and book another day. Once I got back to the hotel I told the clerk that my id was lost and she started looking and when she looked behind the desk she found my identification card in a small envelope. I am very disappointed in how the staff handled my identification card. He knew I just checked in why wouldn’t he give my card back to me?? Very disappointed and crushed I miss my flight

Room smelled of mold. Staff had attitude.
- 4/5
This Hotel was a great value. It was very clean, in a great location, excellent price, staff friendly and helpful. It is an older hotel and had a certain smell that I could live with, but keeps me from giving 5 stars. There is no parking. Parking is public parking one block away and needed an app to pay. It costs $50 per 24 hours. The restaurant was very good for our breakfast and we ate in other places nearby within a few blocks. The beach is just across the street but must walk a block north to access. It was easy to drop our luggage off in front, as there is room for about 5 cars to park for a few minutes to bring our bags to our room before moving it to the public lot. Overall a good experience and would recommend for the value.
- 2/5
Staff was nice, but the room maintenance was bad. Room service came and took all of our towels and emplty the grange but didn’t replace any. They wouldn’t give us a blanket or wash clothes.

The hotel has gone down since my last stay. The hallway carpet smell moldy and putrid. I would not recommend staying here.
- 2/5
Our room smelled like sewer, it was coming from the shower. The headboard was made of on old mattress covered with an old sheet. We’ve checked in around 3 am, were exhausted and didn’t want to ask to switch. We loved the location.
- 4/5
The staff were understood my inability to climb multiple stairs and was able to give me a room on the first floor. It was a historic building and the architecture was very nice.
- 0.5/5
The worst part is dealing with Booking.com and the hotels ridiculous cancellation policy which is crooked. They owe me 3 days for over booking and continually decline. I’ll have to seek legal counsel. Never noticed
- 0.5/5
Bad management Cancellation impossible Low intelligence of management. They owe me money.
- 1/5
Dirty. Staff rude. Loud people screaming at 3am in hotel. Nasty. Would never stay or recommend. Need to take 10 showers to remove nastiest place ever
- 1/5
No Parking at all. Hard to find location. Have to access the hotel through restaurant. Will not book again.
- 2/5
Location Run down and in need of repair. Floor in our room was uneven with the tiles lifting. Walls were cracked and in need of repair. Door to room had large gaps. Pool outside was dirty.
- 2/5
Toilet ran all night; cracks in shower. No safe for valuables. They said u get a free drink starting at four pm on the paper when I went down to get a drink the waiter guy said sorry it starts at five, so no drinks for me. People were smoking outside and it seeped in the air. Angle was very nice the lady that helped me at the front desk.
- 1/5
Bathroom door broken the room need a mirowave
- 2/5
Hotel has a wet mop odor in the lobby and inside the rooms. The shower head inside my room was leaking for the entire stay (engineering never came to fix it), mold inside shower and the pool is very small. I only gave 2 stars because of the location, location is spot on! Don’t have to travel far to get to all the clubs, restaurants and beach.
- 5/5
Nice room
- 3/5
The keycard demagnetized every single day, causing us to walk to the room, upstairs where there are no elevators, then back to the lobby to ask for assistance. No stairs so we had to hall large heavy bags up stairs and into the room. There really is no parking and the building is awkwardly positioned so attempting to pull in for your check-in was tricky, causing us to have to circle the block a couple times to figure things out. It was close to city transportation making it easy to hope on a bus and head in any direction.
- 3/5
No hand towels in bathroom. Shower curtain didn't keep water inside tub. No elevator. Had to go up Had to 3
- 1/5
My room has catergory 3 sewer black water smell coming out from the bathroom on the 2nd and last stay. Hotel staff refused to change room due to high occupancy and just spray deodorant and chemical into the drain hole. I demand a full refund at this hotel.
- 5/5
Room was outstanding.
- 1/5
First Room had no towels, no wash cloths. Second room had no hot water and we had to wait to get moved to another room a whole day. Beds were only made second day, cleaners took towels and never replaced them. Carpets in hallways are damp and building smells of mold. We were rudely told to leave the pool area at 5 pmFront desk lady was not friendly nor helpful. Do not recommend.
- 4/5
Room needed to be a bit cleaner. Could tell it wasn’t deep cleaned in a longtime. But other than that it was a great place to stay. Pool is a lot smaller than it looks too, although it was too cold when I went to swim anyways. Bed was comfy!
- 3/5
Staff are nice, hotel is clean - just could do with a lick of paint and some general maintenance.
- 1/5
The room was very cold lol
- 1/5
A crock roache crawled on my friends face and woke her up she jumped up and video it and killed the roach this happened at 4:03 AM Friday early Morning
- 3/5
There was condensation in my room the whole time felt very wet
- 1/5
There was no internet the whole stay no parking barley any towels they have terrible customer service the room had smells very cold on cold days being charged for amenities that we couldn’t use they come into the room whenever they like but it supposed to be every 3 day’s experience was terrible I asked for a new room and couldn’t get one nets was everywhere as well toilet didn’t flush either
- 1/5
The room was old, moldy, and poorly maintained, with a strong unpleasant smell. Many things felt loose or worn out. The mattress was very thin and uncomfortable, making it hard to get proper rest. The bathroom was in bad shape with broken tiles, visible mold, and a swollen door that wouldn’t close properly. Instead of proper AC, the room used a portable air conditioner. There were also extra small fees that were not clearly shown on Expedia. Overall, the property did not match the photos or description and was not worth the price.
- 3/5
Great little tavern with good food and nightly free cocktail for guests. Overall a good time.
- 4/5
Honestly, not terrible. Reviews every conflicting. You’re gonna find decent reviews on Expedia then when you google it’s the opposite. The rooms and lobby and restaurant do smell like mildew, it’s not crazy but it seems like they used some kind of fragrance to cover it up. The room we were in was VERY humid for some reason. I’m assuming most rooms are if it smells like that thru the hotel. The staff is very nice, very accommodating, very helpful. The room is set up nicely with necessities and very spacious. Parking sucks but that’s a Miami issue. Walking to the beach is very convenient. Overall I’d likely stay there again simply bc for the price and convenience it’s such a win for Miami.
- 1/5
They have a bad customer service
- 4/5
The room itself was nice and clean. However, our tv wasnt working, so the maintenance guy had to come & switch out the tv. The tv fell out the guy's hand and my boyfriend had to help put up the new tv back on the wall. Overall, it was a nice stay & definitely would come again.
- 3/5
I will say Angel at front desk is rude. The gentleman who was at front desk later in evening is very kind, respectful and has manners. Give him a raise. Seriously. Your host will make or break you. Hotel rooms are not all in same building, you may need to walk down side street as we did, that was a bit off putting. We did find two bugs in the hotel, but once again. We knew what we paid for. Also, the restaurant was not worth it, and I wish it was. Tables still dirty, and food was not good, yet overpriced. Would I stay here again? Only for quick trip. We can hope owners take change into consider and make some improvement.
- 4/5
The room, bathroom, and bed was clean and comfy. The only issue is when checking in took a hour and missed the comp drink. Also not up picking up the phone. Was a big !!! Many people that walked in and said the same thing, but denied it and that was a little odd. The small pool needs a redo.
- 3/5
The front desk never picked up our calls but were very pleasant when talking to them in person. The one thing that really bothered me was there are no elevator(s) in the hotel. Good thing it’s only two stories tall. Since my wife and I are both seniors it would have been nice to know before we made the reservations. Or at least have one of the hotel staff member offer to assist us in getting our luggage up the stairs.
- 5/5
Room was nice and clean, staff was super friendly and right by the beach. You can’t beat it for the price! Will be staying here everytime I’m in Miami.
- 2/5
No hot water! Girl at front desk was rude! Did not speak English! Angel was great! Maintenance guy looked at water issue, said he could not fix. Bar/ cafe next door was awesome! Made the stay! Being nice goes a long way, the front desk girl should move to house keeping so she doesn’t have to deal with the public!!
- 3/5
It’s an older boutique hotel, the room was spacious but it inside and outside smelled moldy and damp. This place definitely looks better in the pictures.
- 1/5
This hotel looks nothing like the actual pictures, it is very deceptive! We ask for a refund and were told no that they have no way to that and that we would be charged anyway since our reservation date was already here. There were humidifiers going constantly in the hall ways to keep the moldy odor down. By our second day all of our clothes felt wet and smelled sour. The beds were so old they were sunk in, in the middle. We had 3 people in our room and were only allowed 2 towels and 1 wash cloth so we had to keep going down stairs to exchange. There is absolutely no parking on or even near the hotel. Parking is very expensive. When we ask how to access the beach we were told the best time to do that is during the day we could try to go through the Hilton across the way if someone staying there was going in or out. Otherwise we had to go down to the public park. I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone!
- 3/5
The room was just ok it was very hard to get clean towels
- 1/5
Worst hotel stay I’ve ever experienced anywhere.
- 3/5
No parking and no laundry room. They try to send u to there paid parking. Which is about $11 a hr. Go to allison park $1 a HR and 11pm to 8 am it's free. Nk microwaves . Gotta go all the way down stairs and bar cost $22 a drink. Fr smh...other than that awesome hotel.
- 1/5
The ugly: checking in on January 16 around 6:30 PM the front desk person was rude by texting on her cellphone when I arrived. I stood at the desk without her even making eye contact with me or acknowledging that I was there for checking in, she was more interested on her phone than welcoming the customer. After she was done texting, she proceeded to check me in and there was never a smile or a warm manner to communicate. 2 days later I needed to ask her something and once again, her phone was her priority and zero friendliness from her part. The Bad: yes, I know it rains in Florida, yes, I know it pours sometimes; However, my room got a big leak from the ceiling that got the floor and surroundings wet. My husband went in person to the front desk to ask for towels to contain the water and ONE hr goes by and no one showed up with the towels. Luckily, we had the door open and someone who was a hotel worker walked by and I call her to show her how wet the floor was and she herself went and got extra towels. The shower door had mold around the edges and by the lower caulking, the door hinges, the shower tile mold, mold, mold. The shower needs deep cleaning big time!!! also, the first night, there was hair strands over the bed sheet, were the sheets cleaned or even changed? The Good: The restaurant that is by the hotel lobby has great food and the restaurant workers all were so nice and welcoming. Would not come back here again.
- 5/5
The location and the staff were amazing. The bed was comfy, the shower was elegant. I’d book again!
- 2/5
Rooms where not cleaned there was a smell of drains in the bathroom ,over all the staff where nice and friendly and the place had a good ambiance
- 1/5
Secondly, it was important for me to have a kitchen, but the stove was barely working. There were cockroaches!!! And the neighbors in other rooms were very loud. The only positive thing was the polite front desk staff. Overall, I did not like staying at this hotel.
- 1/5
Terrible experience
- 3/5
Room was okay, however, shower pressure NOT GOOD, friendly room cleaning staff. Parking was NOT at all what they said, extremely expensive and written wrong on their website and confirmation emails! The best part of our stay was at the restaurant on site (not part of the hotel) and our bartender Tamara was amazing, very friendly! Not sure I would stay again.
- 1/5
The room smelled atrocious and husband had an allergy attack that last hours. The smell ruined our vacation. The pictures are not an accurate. I opened window and handle fell off. The front desk people acted bothered when we checked in. I told front desk our hotel room smell was unbearable. They didn't care. It was the worst hotel experience I ever had. I'm beyond disappointed.
- 2/5
Barely clean room
- 1/5
The front desk reception was awful. We showed that our booking came with a drink for each person. She pointed to some happy hour thing from 5 to 6 which it states nowhere. Every person gets the happy hour. We paid extra for a free drink and did not grt it. So her answer, I can cancel your room if you arent happy. We will be vmchanging hotels today. Also smells like cleaning product in room and windows dojt open.
- 5/5
The staff was very helpful. They even allowed us to check in early. The room was clean. We had a wonderful stay
- 3/5
The onsite restaurant was excellent. We arrived fairly late on a Friday night and it was great to be able to grab a quick dinner there and not have to search for something. Our meals were excellent and the wait staff super friendly. We enjoyed breakfast there the following morning, it was “ok” not fabulous but definitely adequate and convenient. All in all it was a good value for the price and I would stay here again especially if budget was a main priority.
- 3/5
Clean room
- 3/5
The entrance is hard to find. It has a large Monticello sign over the lobby, not Oceanside Hotel. The building is an older property of the art deco style. It is also not on the ocean. It has no elevators and no handicapped parking. Parking is one block away.
- 4/5
I noticed a continuous bad smell in the restroom (and the room) eventhough the ventilation snd AC was working.
- 2/5
Check-in was late by an hour. We had dinner reservations to make and almost missed them. The description for parking on Expedia shows that the hotel does NOT have parking, but lists the address: 6372 Collins Ave for overnight parking at an additional cost. We parked our car there, and followed the instructions by using Parkmobile app
- 4/5
The room was fine. No smart TV. Beds are very comfortable, very clean. Buy the rooms always has this smell that never lesves. Like damp type smell. Staff is awesome, very helpful and attentive. No parking and this place makes sure everyone is really out by 11am. They dont play around with that. Last concern is how long it takes to get your $100 deposit back. Ive been waiting for over two weeks now.
- 1/5
I booked for 3 night and didn’t stay one night there. The room wasn’t like anything shown online. It smelled horrible and the room was dirty. I immediately left after 5 mins of check-in and ask for a refund. It was my husband birthday. They wouldn’t refund my payment and we have to spend more money to stay somewhere else. Cesar the front desk was very kind and understanding.
- 3/5
Air conditioning was not up to par. No trash can in the room. Other than that I’d stay again.
- 1/5
I never review, but this needs a much lower avg rating, which was why I stayed. It's NOT Oceanside. It's in the middle of a busy intersection with the pool near the street and passersby. Maybe 10 minutes walk to the beach. Was told there's no parking for the hotel. Zero. That should be advertised or maybe can be the new name of the hotel. Call it a $40/nite oceanside valet bonus fee, then put that on top of the resort fee. I recommend saving a little with the $36 parking tickets, or maybe you get lucky and find free 11pm-7am parking or whenever time I was told is free at the nearest beach park. 100% DON'T bring a car. Rooms are modern and clean. Nice, so a star for that. Then no coffee in room or on site per front desk. That discouraged me from trying attached possibly unrelated restaurant. There's an awkward paper receipt system to get a pool or beach towels, or pay a $25 fee.... Stay apparently also included a single, nightly, (1) free preselected cocktail too, perfectly named a "happy hour" to pair nicely with the paved asphalt Oceanside theme. Also no ESPN, I think a few local/random channels, and the weird Roku live channels + Netflix and apps. Biggest thing= name is purely false advertising. Then to not offer a valet service, or to be partnered with a lot in the area? Not ok. Sell it already. I won't be back, as long as I'm paying or choosing. Change seems inevitable, and I wish all the staff the best, as all those I saw all did their jobs to the best of their ability.
- 4/5
Room was clean. I was expecting at least a compliments water in thr mini fridge. Overall the experience was good. Though I'm still waiting on my $100 incidental hold to be released after 5 days.
- 5/5
Clean spacious room, close to beach, great onsite restaurant and bar
- 1/5
There is no elevator. When you begin walking up the stairs from the lobby to the second floor, the smell immediately hits you snd you see an air purifier in the second floor hallway. The room itself smelled of sewage, tabacco smoke, mildew, and herbs (used to try to cover up the pungent smell). The room had an air purifier going that did not help. My throat hurt the first night trying to go to sleep and was scratchy the next morning from the irritation caused by the smell. We tried to open the windows to sir it out, but the locks broke off both windows and prevented us from doing so. While by the window, we saw that a gecko had also gotten into the room somehow. The hotel is in a historic build that has not been properly fitted to be a functional, aesthetically pleasing hotel. The baseboards and door casings are rotted. The bathroom door had water damage along the bottom that prevented it from closing all the way. The hair dryers were old and functioned poorly. The walls were thin enough to hear other guests' alarms going off in another room. The hotel restaurant was out of many items listed on their menu. The complimentary happy hour cocktail is decided by the property. First I was told I could choose between rum punch and rum and coke. The bartender then said rum and coke was the only option. I am not a fan of that combination, so I was unable to receive the benefit of a "free daily cocktail".
- 1/5
Hair on pillows and sheets, heat doesn’t work a.c was so cold, food on pillow and sheets, needed new towels to shower so i had left after the first night AND i wasn’t able to get a refund so i paid for 3 days and didn’t even stay there smfh!
- 1/5
dont do this urself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! please save urself!!!!!! it is a MASSIVE SCAM!! THIS IS NOT A HOTEL!! THIS IS A TAVERN WITH A FEW RUN DOWN ROOMS NEXT TO IT!!! we couldnt stay in such a thing, so walked out and were left stranded on the streets of miami at 2:30 at night, it took us till six to find somewhere to go! there were cockroaches all over the floor, peeling paint, tiny the place was DISGUSTING and unclean, IF YOU HAVE EVEN THE TINEIST BIT OF COMPASSION FOR YOURSELF, SPARE YOURSELVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- 1/5
Horrible
- 1/5
Rude service at check in. They charge a resort fee for basics that are noth9ng but an up charge. They have no parking anf send you to find street parking or recommend a lot for $45 a day. The room was dirty and had bugs in the bathroom.
- 1/5
Hard recommendation to never stay at this establishment. Room was next to the bar…very loud morning and night. Room service..non existent. Had to ask for towels. Never cleaned. Ice machine behind locked door in lobby. No coffee machine. No microwave. Only positive was location.
- 3/5
It was okay
- 2/5
The room looked outdated, bathroom door was unable to close, tiles in bathroom shower were cracked, water damage noted at the bottom of bathroom door. Ghee staff were helpful though.
- 5/5
Very comfortable hotel.
- 1/5
The room was not hygiene and clean
- 4/5
Very courteous.

- 3/5
It was ok
- 2/5
Terrible stay
- 5/5
The front deck personnel down to the bartender was excellent.. ☺️☺️☺️..
- 1/5
After only a few minutes in the room, I developed a headache from the mold smell. Staying there was not an option. The front desk was dismissive and rude, offered no solution, and refused a refund despite the condition of the room. We had to find another hotel late at night at our own expense. He also said, "I dont feel happy or sad about your issue", which was just absolutely inhumane and borderline psychotic. To make matters worse, Expedia initially told us a refund would be issued, along with a $25 credit towards the other hotel we had to book, then later reversed that decision by email. Extremely unethical handling of a serious health and safety issue. Please do not stay here; extremely dangerous and no one is fixing the issues or cares. Horrible.
- 5/5
It was a great stay, everything was just as they publicized. Will def return!!
- 1/5
Room has roaches. Smelled very bad like mold covered with heavy perfume. Our sink was broken and never got fixed. We had to leave the hotel due to bugs and being very unhappy with our stay. Our bathroom had a very foul odor a few days into the trip and they just sprayed it and never were offered another room, they just came and sprayed it.and it
- 4/5
Enjoyed my junior suite. Restaurant was good/ live entertainment.
- 1/5
The pictures are deceiving just pay the extra money to stay somewhere else with beach access the walk to the beach isn’t too far. No microwave, the T.v channels suck. There’s little to no amenities. I wouldn’t recommend at all
- 5/5
It was lovely
- 5/5
I adored the preparation of their meals, and their magnificent efficiency in all their services.
- 5/5
This hotel offers an exceptional level of comfort and service. The room was beautifully designed, very clean, and incredibly relaxing. The staff was always courteous and attentive, making the entire stay feel effortless and enjoyable. excellent!!
- 5/5
This hotel delivers a premium experience from start to finish. The check-in process was smooth, the room was spacious and beautifully maintained, and the staff consistently went out of their way to ensure a pleasant stay.
- 5/5
The level of comfort, cleanliness, and service was outstanding throughout my visit. The staff anticipated my needs and always offered assistance in a friendly and professional manner. It truly felt like a luxurious home away from home.
- 5/5
A remarkable stay. Every detail was thoughtfully designed to ensure maximum comfort and satisfaction.
- 5/5
From the décor to the service, everything was outstanding. You can really feel the quality in every detail.
- 2/5
Toilet was plugged and unusable after first use. No one came to fix it. We had to use the toilet in the lobby. No parking whatsoever. Charged a resort fee that was almost as much as the hotel room… not a resort! Charges an additional $100 deposit that was to be refund upon check out…won’t be refunded for 3-5 business days after check out. No coffee available.
- 5/5
It was ok
- 3/5
The room wasn’t super clean, we seen a cockroach in the hallway going back to our room. The sheets had stains there was stains on the walls. Overall just not a very clean hotel. The staff however were very kind we ate at the restaurant attached to the hotel and the food was pretty good.
- 1/5
The room floor tile wasnt clean, had loose and broken tile. The bed had a broken bed frame and lumpy mattress. I complained but nothing was done.
- 5/5
Great
- 4/5
Clean room
- 2/5
When I booked this through Expedia, it said Ocean view that’s a lie. It’s quite off the ocean. You have to walk a mile to get ocean access. They put me in the back of the property and this dirty little studio apartment type thing. I was there for business so I could not change accommodations too busy. Absolutely no parking for my rental car I had to pay for public parking half a mile and walk. The hotel has four spots for parking. Rude and terrible staff.
- 5/5
Excellent
- 5/5
Yes the kitchen was full with bar enjoyed it much.
- 4/5
The rooms were clean. Hove
- 3/5
Yes yes but a little rundown the bathroom mirror needs to be replaced and my window looked out into a driveway. Had hard time getting my luggage out.
- 3/5
Staff is kind and courteous. The 3 star review is for the room itself. The air is musty and damp (many reviews agree with this). Cracked tiles and the mini fridge leaks water. Shower was nice and the bed was decent. For an inexpensive stay its a good value.
- 1/5
The entire hotel….the pictures are a lie this hotel stinks, it’s run down, the rooms are extremely small, the bedding wasn’t clean neither was the bathroom. The hallways had an extremely strong cedar smell that will give you a headache. The pool is the size of a bathtub. The rooms are out dated. You can’t get your own ice you have to go to the front desk and request it and even then it’s locked up in a room and only they have access to it. There is no phone to call to the front desk you have to text or walk around. No wash cloths were given and you have to walk through the restaurant outside where everyone is eating just to get to and from building 2 with bags and all. That is not okay .The price was outrageous for what I got. Just because it’s close to the beach area doesn’t mean charge whatever and give whatever. 1/10 do not recommend.
- 4/5
Nice staff. Helpful
- 3/5
They were awesome. Rooms were outdated and smelled funny. But it was convenient to beach and cheap Restaurant was good
- 4/5
Nice hotel and bar and walking distance to beach!
- 3/5
Parking lot take o way al the good credit for the hotel
- 1/5
Convenient location. Hotel is very close to the beach and some dining on Collins. The outside bar is also cute with great staff. Now for the room - We booked this hotel as a quick stop in Miami after a cruise. Check-in is 4pm. We actually were happy that we got to check in a little earlier as the room was “ready”. We got to our room and I have never stayed in a dirtier room in my life. We were given two queen beds one bed frame literally looked like it had blood on the corner. The floors were absolutely filthy. The light switches were sticky and gross. The shower head had a ton of lime or some type of water deposits buildup on it. The bathroom was weirdly humid no matter what time of day. The room was freezing and the thermostat was broken so you couldn’t change the temperature. The hallway was dirty and smelled like mildew. It’s a little comical with the state of the rooms that the hotel charges a refundable $100 deposit since the place is gross. I have had a sore throat since I’ve been there. We were told the doors lock at night. We were in a completely separate building from the main check in - we left at 3am for a flight and the doors were most certainly not locked. I would never stay here again.
- 5/5
Very pleasant stay - thank you
- 3/5
No breakfast no coffee
- 5/5
Friendly staff
- 3/5
I chose a room with queen bed and they gave me one bedroom with 2 beds
- 3/5
The bed is uncomfortable, the sink area is small, the room smells unpleasant, and they don't even offer water.

When i asked to speak to a manager she said she was the manager and when i asked to discuss my situation she turned her screen around n tapped on an email and said "email" the manager.... this is incredibly poor business practice. I travel for work and im currently seeking shelting because of a domestic dispute... I needed rest . I needed a safe place to sleep that was 3 min away from my job site so I could finally rest and go to work. And this woman nearly caused me to have a mental breakdown.. I had a very serious panick attack. Quite frankly i wont be forgetting this any time soon. This affected me deeply. What she did was wrong. Could have had very serious outcome thank god im ok. The business practices at this hotel are god awful. Thank you for having me sleep in my car in a parking lot filled with shady activity and go into my 12 hour shift feeling fresh as carcas. I truly hope this woman and "manager" have the life they deserve.
- 1/5
There is a weird smell in the lobby . The location is good sont the beach is not far walking
- 1/5
I couldn’t check in the place was over booked after I drove 3 hours away now I need to be with no place
- 1/5
My room was bad the tile of the floor was broken and loose, when I Showed the bathroom got flooded, we requested towel multiple times and they just gave me towels ones, the inside of the hotel smell like wet and humidity so I don’t know why the charges the resort fees if they are not giving the maintenance to that hotel, I’ll never come back to that hotel is really bad
- 2/5
The room felt neglected, great location , building 2 was a horrible smelly experience walking through a restaurant to get to and from your room one wrong turn you can be in the kitchen with the cooks or in the basement with laundry I checked out as soon as I checked in and they wouldn’t allow me a refund when I didn’t witness the 10/10 reviews there was hair on the sheets & and smudge dirt on the white bedframe front desk guy was nice and professional
- 1/5
There was no available functional rooms, manager was never at work, and no refund was given
- 5/5
Nice clean
- 1/5
The room felt neglected the sheets were dirty and stained as I entered the doand overall I did not feel comfortable staying there I left next morning
- 2/5
My room sis had a bad smell and wasn’t really clean. Also, the room temperature was cold and I want it to adjust it and the thermostat sid not work,

DO NOT BOOK!!!! This hotel is nothing like advertised, the rooms and set up are completely different than what’s advertised. Upon checking in the room was filled with nothing but stained and dented furniture and an awful smell throughout the stairways halls and room. After seeing the state of the room it was determined no one can stay here let alone sleep and use the facilities here. There is no management on staff no one to speak to and no one to call. After 10 mins at the hotel I was charged a resort fee and a deposit for a hotel located in the middle of a street (no resort in site) I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to my worst enemy this was one of the worst experiences Ive had in years! This booking should removed from this site based off the lack of cleanliness. I’ve never stayed somewhere that can’t handle any customer inquiries or help in anyway shape or form. Truly a HORRIBLE experience.
- 4/5
Unit was surprisingly big, spacious and looks aesthetically pleasing. They only provides 2 towels for 3 days, I saw a baby lizard in the room, found a roach in the coffee maker, NO FREE BREAKFAST and it was $16 and it was horrible, we all dinned at the tavern for breakfast the second day and the food was cold and not good at all it was 3/10. Happy hour drinks promised to hotel guests was very nasty, tastes like cheap vodka and lime ewww I Threw my drinks away. You pay a resort fee of 38 per night on top of Expedia fees, no spa they are not affiliated, notice how they advertise a second pool? It is 12 minutes walk to another sister hotel. There’s : 4 buildings and u have to walk to the lobby in the main Building if u need anything or are having an issue. Everything else was nice, I would recommend! Close to scenic views, parks, beaches and restaurants.
- 3/5
Cuarto sucio , olor a humedad , pelos por todo el cuarto y sábanas , piso sucio.
- 5/5
It was very good service and I would go back to that place.

No kitchen access no kettle, breakfast was awful cold scrambled eggs toast and made to sit in building site area whilst public paying guests were allowed to order on the terrace
- 3/5
Kind and accommodating staff.
- 1/5
Room was dirty, and had dirty linen
- 2/5
When I booked, it said there was direct access to the beach and a pool; all which sounds amazing, up until after I checked in. Not only was my room on the second floor which was 3 sets of stairs since there’s no elevator, it was in another building, the pool is only 3ft 6in and way smaller than advertised. There was no direct access to the pool. The restaurant which also was advertised as indoor, was actually outside and semi covered. I also needed ice, the ice machine isn’t in my building and by luck, I couldn’t get into my building and happen to go to the front desk and was told it’s there and not in my building. The young lady with the long black hair, She was encouraging, positive, supportive and helpful. She was empathetic to my situation and very respectful. You don’t find this level of customer service much these days. I’m grateful for her accommodating as much as she did. If it wasn’t for her I would give an overall 1 star.

No mirror or sink in the washroom. That was off to brush your teeth in the room

Yes

1 - The first room had no air conditioning. 2 - The second room was only temporary and didn’t have a working TV. 3 - The third room had dirty floors, a dirty shower, and smelly towels. Even after they replaced the towels, the new ones also smelled. That room’s TV didn’t work either.
- 4/5
Clearly a little older of a building but the staff was great. It was clean. Only thing we didnt care for was hunting down parking. The staff was helpful in finding places to park though.
- 1/5
Keys are not working, leaking bathroom, flooring is leaking, my friend booked same room and had better room than me
- 1/5
Nating is no pool no spa no playa
- 4/5
Great place and experience except the pool is going through “routine maintenance”. Didnt know this until i got to the property to check in. Other than that id stay there again.
- 5/5
Kind staff, parking was closer than expected, would book again!

Overall it’s good, but no parking. Have to walk for 5mins

- 1/5
Terrible
- 3/5
The room was nice and clean. My room card got deactivated all the time it was an inconvenience going to the front desk as there was only 1 person working. The staff not very friendly! Walking distance to the beach but the pool was under construction and the send me far away when there was a closet pool to go to.
- 3/5
The place is ok but it doesn’t tell you that the pool is not working and they have brothers hotels to use the pools and don’t work ether second there is no parking on site and when you book it they tell you that there is, rooms are ok but the good thing about this place is the bar-restaurant staff is very nice and food is delicious so are the drinks
- 2/5
The hotel staff was very nice, the room is spacious and clean, with a surprisingly good restaurant attached to the facility. I had a cancelled flight and needed to rest my head somewhere for the evening, the smell in the room gave an odor of old basement although it looked very updated

I booked this location for my daughter’s 21st birthday, and it was a complete nightmare. When we arrived, the gentleman at the front desk greeted us and took payment. As usual, I did a quick inspection of the room upon entry. I immediately noticed that the bed sheets were not clean. When I removed the cushion from the sleeper sofa, it was very clear the area hadn’t been cleaned—there were crumbs, bedbug droppings, and stains. I went straight to the front desk to request that housekeeping come clean the room. When the housekeeper arrived, he pulled the sheets off the sleeper sofa, handed me fresh ones, and ran out the door without saying anything. Once the sleeper sofa was fully unfolded, I saw blood stains, more bedbug markings, and filth. The room also had a strong smell of mold and mildew—completely unsafe to stay in. I returned to the front desk to request a refund, but they refused. I ended up having to call my bank and dispute the charges, including a resort fee they charged me even though I did not stay a single night at the hotel. I was later told the resort fee is “non-refundable,” which is unacceptable under these conditions. To make things worse, another guest I spoke with was experiencing similar issues: moldy ceilings, bubbling walls, and a strong mildew odor. This is clearly not an isolated incident. This property is a serious health hazard and should be inspected by the state health department immediat

Very noisy and the staff is very unprofessional don’t waste your money booking this place

Great Hotel

Air conditioner worked only “on” or “off”. I couldn’t change the thermostat temperature. The screen wasn’t working.

Good
- 1/5
I had black mold in my room and I had to check out early to get a new hotel. They fought me on a refund.
- 2/5
There is no access to the beach. The hotel has no beach service as the advertisement suggests. The hotel has no pool or pool bar as the advertisement suggests. I had to call 3 times to get someone to come clean my room. The bar/restaurant charges 20% gratuity but the service we got on Saturday did nothing to deserve it.
- 2/5
It smelled like molded water in room. No coffee/ tea maker. No microwave to reheat food. Have to paid for channels to watch most of the tv programs. Have to go outside to get to rooms.
- 5/5
Nice
- 3/5
Property was clean. Rooms need upgrade. Bed was old and leather was peeling off. Room did not smell good. Housekeeping did not replace towels and when I asked the front desk she provided beach towels instead.
- 1/5
The place stinks like sewer ,t.v doesn't work

Nice place
- 5/5
It was a very nice experience. The Tavern has great food and drinks and Very close to the beach! We loved it!
- 1/5
I didn’t stay there
- 1/5
When we arrived our hotel was unsanitary/dirty they gave us a different room than the one I originally booked. After arguing with the staff they gave us a different room finally but overall the experience was disappointing
- 5/5
Everything was in walkable distance
- 5/5
It was the best time for me staying here
- 2/5
The overall stay was “ok” with that being said, there were a few things that didn’t sit well with me. The mold smell throughout the property. Didn’t have enough towels, you can txt the desk and they will bring you some. There were two days where I didn’t get any. The only good thing I’d say about the hotel is the location. Staff was what you would expect from a low star hotel. Parking is not cheap and hard to find at times. The Tavern was not bad. Food was decent. I’d give my overall stay a 2 star rating.
- 2/5
No onsite parking, no central AC
- 5/5
Smells really good, super clean, love the access to the other hotel with a nice beach video and pool
- 5/5
Good location and great service, no elevators

Very bad service. Talking to the front desk person was like talking to the wall.

Rien, une arnaque avec leur histoire de resort fée par nuit pour un verre de gin tonic
- 5/5
Absolutely stunning service and hotel room was fantastic! The receptionist extremely helpful and knowledgeable about everything
- 5/5
Great staff and clean Bedroom. The room includes a bracelet to access a beach club from a hotel nearby they partner with.
- 3/5
There was no parking on the area. I spent a lot of money for parking every day the tavern the food was great. We had to walk to another hotel, which was a distance away to get to the beach and to also use the pool.
- 2/5
I was in a wheelchair for 5 of the 7 days due to a medical emergency. My husband was given permission by the manager to park in the limited hotel lot for accessibility, but despite this, we were still repeatedly threatened with towing and tickets—which caused a lot of unnecessary stress during an already difficult time. Midway through our stay, the manager did relocate us to a different hotel, which is why I’m giving two stars instead of one. Unfortunately, the new location was a clear downgrade: a gentrified motel with loud construction going on for 12 hours a day, every day. It was far less comfortable and certainly not ideal for someone recovering from surgery who needed rest and accessibility. I appreciate the attempt to help, but this experience overall did not meet the basic expectations for care, communication, or accessibility.
- 1/5
The AC wasn’t working
- 5/5
Great property for the price! Very clean and the restaurant was very good! The only downside was that the beach entrance included was not as close as expected. Expect about a 10 minute walk to the related hotel that provides beach access and chairs.
- 2/5
Smells and pictures are heavily edited
- 1/5
They also gave me a room with NO AC, during summertime in Florida. Staff was useless.
- 2/5
Pictures lie about this property, it’s not ocean view you have to walk 10 minutes to their sister hotel to see the pool which is green and dirty. don’t stay here
- 1/5
Everything was terrible! They never refunded my money; they charged me a $100 deposit. The receptionist told me they'd refund me within 24 hours. What a liar! I stayed there on Wednesday, 15, and now it's Monday, and it's still the same. I called the hotel several times, and no one answered. How professional!
- 5/5
I had an amazing trip, hotel was located in a very convenient location. Enjoyed the breakfast as qell
- 3/5
Ok small room receptionist wasnt friendly (80]
- 4/5
The bar there is amazing. The staff is really friendly. The only downside is parking but other than that, everything was great.
- 5/5
Zachery was super helpful and nice you have a great employee!
- 2/5
Overall, I did not like this property. When I checked in the first night the room was disgusting. My friend and I left the first night and stayed at another hotel across the street. They gave us another room the next day. It was a little cleaner but still not great. The beds frames are worn out. There was no extra roll of tissue. When requesting anything, you have to text the front desk instead of calling. Then, there was sometimes no response. I requested a refund for the first night, but crickets! I will not stay there ever again.
- 2/5
Advertised beach access and fitness center. That is offered at another hotel that is a mile walk!!!
- 1/5
This last time we had a bad experience. This is what happened. I reserved for one night first, while we were there we extended the reservation for 2 more nights. Usually half is paid by Expedia and the other half at the hotel. The same night I got a message from the front desk that we needed to pass by and pay. We did. ( they are able to contact us…..) The last night we stayed there, there was no parking nearby available . We left the car by the driveway of the hotel where other cars were. We let the front desk person know and she said “ok”, also we let her know the room number. The following only our car was towed. This time she was “not able” as a courtesy to contact us as they did before to make sure we pay. My husband paid $380, plus I got to get an uber to the airport
- 3/5
The room was good but we didn’t have cleaning service they only took the garbage every 2 -3day .they always took our towel but never leave us any towels in the room. The pool was closed but they never mentioned in their hotel description. I could find my hygiene stuff the 3rd day that we stayed there but other then that it was okey
- 3/5
Mattress is old but comfortable.
- 1/5
Unfortunately, this property did not match the description on the website. It’s not located near the beach as advertised, and the rooms are actually situated around the corner from the front desk, which felt a bit disconnected. Due to the misleading information, I decided to cancel my reservation and book a hotel that was truly beachfront.
- 1/5
This so called boutique hotel is a total fraud. The description and photos on the Expedia website are misleading. The hotel is not ocean side. The onside pool is not available for use. When you check in they give you a sheet of paper with directions to a sister property 10 minutes away where you can access beach and pool. The front desk person was extremely rude and not willing to help or answer questions. The room smelled musty with strong alcohol sanitizer scent. The mattresses on the two beds were worn out and sagged. I had no choice but to cancel the reservation. Would not stay in this dump even one night. Too bad Expedia did nothing to help me with this my situation. Truly a horrible experience.
- 1/5
Misleading advertisement stating you have direct access to the beach and pool on property when in fact you need to walk for almost 9 minutes in the heat to another hotel where you have to pay 10$ per day for umbrella and chairs. Staff at the reception (only one African American employee who was rude, careless and disrespectfu. All the other staff were nice especially the manager and a guy named Carlos, they were very kind. Family is old, smelly and room service at first was not provided. I had to complaint few times to get towels in my room everyday. Free breakfast was a joke and does not include coffee. Servers has bad attitude. The overall stay was a disaster we spent most of our vacation doing activities around the city and using the hotel just for sleep. Most of the reviews I read before I booked are either fake or wrong in my opinion.
- 4/5
Got what I paid for. Value for money
- 1/5
I would not suggest this place in Miami The people pretend to not speak English when it came to doin anything I don’t recommend ‼️
- 4/5
The bathroom could have been more updated in some areas.
- 3/5
La habitación era muy ruidosa por el aire acondicionado y había un olor feo cada vez que entrábamos. El agua del baño pasa hasta la habitación ya que una vez no nos dejaron alfombra.
- 4/5
Comfortable bed and nice room with kitchen. They will clean the room every 3 days.
- 1/5
Staff was rude.
- 1/5
Just a bit tricky, pictures on offer shows a big pool but they did not show that you need to walk 10 minutes to a partner hotel to use that pool not located on Oceanside. Also they charge extra for resort fee, even if when you pay it says all charges already includded . Everything so tricky. Also when you go to the beach you should pay for using an extra chair or umbrella also located in another hotel.
- 1/5
Have to go pick them up .Keys did not work ,tv remote batteries dead has to go pick them up,floor with missing grout and crack tile, swimming pool is a joke and was close for maintenace. Reception person was on the phone with somebody all the time when when we register.Terrible experience.

The Tavern was a good experience. I
- 3/5
I booked online, and they make you think the hotel has access to the beach and pool, but it doesn't. When I arrived, A woman @ngel served me, a woman with no manners, as if she'd never worked in customer service, with no rules of courtesy, a sour face, and that's how it was until I left. When I got to the hotel she told me I'd have to walk to another hotel to access the pool and beach, and they gave me a different room than the one I'd requested. The other staff were much friendlier and happier; they were the ones who saved the stay. The only really good is the restaurant (The tavern)
- 1/5
- 2/5
No service no pool no cleaning no
- 1/5
Inconvenience having to walk thru the restaurant Get no assistance No parking and not helpful on how to find
- 2/5
Bath towels, face towels, and hand towels were insufficient for two guests in the room. The lobby had a very pungent perfume odour. The AC wasn’t cooling properly and so there was a lot of humidity in the room. The TV couldn’t be used because the remote wasn’t working. I called the front desk and the lady came 3 to 4 times with different reports and none of them seem to work. That was a big disappointment. The good thing was the happy hour between 5 to 6 PM included free cocktail drinks which unfortunately I couldn’t take advantage of.
- 5/5
Great place
- 3/5
Parking was close and in a quiet neighborhood. The Hotel itself was not the greatest. No elevator and the rooms are not in the best shape. Cracked floor tiles and bathrooms are in poor shape.
- 2/5
Description said there was direct access to the beach and that is false. The direct access to the beach is 10 - 15 mins away.
- 3/5
I liked the location. Almost all the staff are pleasant. I didn't like: lack of slippers, bathrobes, toothbrush cups, parking.
- 4/5
The only thing that I can complaint about it is the front desk never answered my calls, but they’re nice when you talk to them in person!!
- 1/5
No place to park overnight, had to walk miles from parking all to find out there is no overnight parking available. A lot of trouble to get my reasonable refund.
- 5/5
Just a great time here! Will definitely book again
- 5/5
The suite room is great, the only problem is the air in the room smells moldy
- 4/5
Bien ubicado pero no tiene estacionamiento.

Really nice
- 5/5
All was great but it has not elevator. Ot can be sometimes an issue.
- 1/5
Also i had to pay $139 for resort fee, i could have missed that during booking but i didnt see any mention of that during booking
- 5/5
This hotel was very quaint and I loved the atmosphere the vibe at the bar and restaurant was awesome and family friendly and the staff was very friendly and nice. And it was literally a block from the beach awesome The room was beautiful I had the queen studio and the location was secluded and quiet with two entrances from the street. Check in was very smooth and I can’t express how nice all the staff was. They offer a lot of amenities and is well worth it. And the prices are reasonable for this economy I would recommend this to anyone.
- 3/5
Access to room was horrible. No elevator and had to take luggage through a restaurant to get to stairs.
- 5/5
Nice experience , clean rooms.
- 5/5
Nice and clean. Nice area...
- 1/5
I booked a hotel through Expedia, but the conditions were not as described. The pool was advertised as on-site, but it was a 15-minute walk under the hot sun. The room did not match the photos — it was outdated, smelled heavily of chlorine, and had visible rust and poor hygiene. We called Expedia support within 1–2 hours of check-in, informed you that we were leaving, and requested a refund. Now we are told that the hotel refuses to refund, but we were misled by your listing. Please escalate this claim. We are requesting a full refund due to false advertising and unsanitary conditions. Photos and documentation are available.
- 1/5
The location in reference to North or South beach wasn’t horrible. North Beach was walkable but South Beach required an Uber. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to friends or family. Not worth the money, and not worth the extra effort to deal with the disorganization of the staff.
- 5/5
I came to Oceanside hotel with my family of 4, we stayed in the two bedroom suit & it was very clean and great for family with children having a kitchen was very convenient The beds are very comfortable. The front desk was super helpful. I highly recommend and I will be coming back.
- 3/5
Thank you Oceanside Hotel & Suites! The stay was okay, I wish things were more clean and I thought the bathroom was a little scary, I did not shower lol. But I am thankful for the location.
- 1/5
Property is just ok, didn’t necessarily feel 100% safe and comfortable. Property is divided into 3 different buildings or so, so you check in one building and then walk to another. In order to utilize property amenities you have to walk to a sister property about a half mile away. I checked in late night (around 11PM) because we flew in from Cleveland, and we didn’t get there until that time. We were just staying for one night before leaving for a cruise in the morning. When we checked in, we asked the guy at the front desk (Tyson was his name) if we could come back after our cruise a week later and sit by the pool for a few hours seeing as we had already paid the resort fee, and never utilized i, and our flight didn’t leave Miami until 5:00 so we wanted to leave our bags with the front desk and sit by the pool rather than sitting at the airport all day long. I’ve done this at other hotels that we have stayed at before with no issue. He said that would be fine, but when we came back, another guy was there and refused to let us do so unless we paid another resort fee. So we did, just to sit by their sister properties pool for a few hours. Didn’t swim in it, it was freezing cold. He could have just locked up our bags and let us hang out for a few hours, again other hotels have let me do so in the past w/o any issue. It’s the hospitality business, your supposed to be accommodating to your guests. The rusty shelves in the bathrooms need to go.
- 5/5
Had a pleasant stay definitely would recommend.
- 3/5
Only bad thing is no parking drove around over hr to find parking. Mostly 3 hr max parking so crazy
- 2/5
towels or toilet paper , rooms and beds not cleaned
- 1/5
This was one of the worst hotels I have been to. I know that pictures online can sometimes be old, but in this case I felt tricked. They barely had anyone at the counter, so I waited 20 minutes just to check in. I was put in the second building which has no security doors at all. Literally anyone can walk in the hotel and no one would know. The second building is behind the first building so you have to drag your luggage from one building to another. Thank God I had my shower shoes, the bathroom is disgusting. Cracks in the floor tiles coming up, the sheets were dirty with stains that can’t come out. Y’all make enough to replace these things. Never again!
- 4/5
I enjoyed my stay overall. This hotel is located walking distance from the beach, and it has a great restaurant. The hotel could use some renovations but it was still a good stay. The staff were friendly and helpful for the most part - Angel and Jhoan were great - with the exception of one staff member, Gabriel, who was not pleasant to engage with. He always seemed as if guests were a bother, including when I asked if I could access the restaurant from the lobby because it was raining. He told me that I needed to walk outside, which was not true. Not a huge deal but I was also carrying luggage and getting ready to head to the airport. As I entered the restaurant, after walking outside to get there, who do I see accessing the restaurant from within the hotel other than Gabriel. Totally rude and lacking in customer service.
