Location was great and staff were super nice! Will definitely stay again
- 5/5
Good location one block from beach, friendly staff.
- 4/5
We went for the weekend of Memorial Day, the room was very clean and very quiet, the staff was very friendly and very helpful, I love that they provided towels for the beach and chairs, the bar was very nice, the air in the room was nice and cool, I highly recommend, one thing I would like to tell the hotel they should put bars for the wet clothes from the beach specially if you got with for than 2, other than that I would stay again there.

Very old hotel with super gross old stained carpet in the halls and a musty smell throughout. Bathroom was pretty rough. You def don’t want to touch anything. No pool or gym on property and attracts a wild crowd… very noisy at night with rowdy guests. Front desk staff were so nice tho, and housekeeping was sweet. Bar at the front of house is never open and give an abandoned feel to the place.
- 5/5
Staff and bar the room was nice. Close to the beach.
- 4/5
It was cool
- 0.5/5
Location was great! lots of things to do and in walking distance. Hotel itself was not it!!!! We had to change rooms from the first floor to the 3rd because there were so many moths and mosquitos getting in our room from the giant gap at the bottom of the hotel door. It also didn’t help that the hotel leaves the lobby doors wide open for bugs to enter. It was awful the room itself was dirty as well! The floors, the walls, the bathroom just didn’t feel or look clean whatsoever. I felt so uncomfortable sleeping. One night I was so itchy and paranoid from all the bugs I didn’t sleep until almost 4am. Very horrible hotel, you couldn’t pay me to stay here again.
- 3/5
The ac was very loud but it did work
- 1/5
Black mold and smell in rooms and lobby! Lobby bathroom is disgusting! Carpet on stairs is horrible! Location and price is decent, but that’s where it ends
- 1/5
The outside sitting area I was on the 3rd floor and there wasn't any elevators and I had to climb 3 flights of stairs on my bad knee
- 4.5/5
How close it was to all the attractions Towel shortage at one point
- 3/5
Lo mejor que tiene es que esta cerca de playa.
- 5/5
Our room was clean upon arrival and staff was amazing in accommodating to our checking in early needs. Staff was well informed about near by attractions and dining. I would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone and would be delighted to stay again!
- 3/5
Didn’t see the bar open. Coffee across the street. Just get a Keurig! Bed was tilted. My head was lower than my feet. Room flooded. Room was super humid. Like the room fridge. AC worked. One unit. Loud. Doors in hall close loudly and wake you. Use the bar for coffee and breakfast would be better use in the AM.
- 5/5
Always a good time at Hotel Shelley great location

The AC worked good it kept the room cool. The staff was great especially Litzy she made us feel right at home. She took really good care of us. Next time im back in Miami i going to definitely book at hotel shelly again. Thanks to Litzy im definitely returning back.
- 3.5/5
It was a good location . Close to where we had to be and close to the beach It was clean , friendly staff , comfortable beds .
- 4.5/5
Well located one block from airport bus and beach. Many eating places around. Close to free shuttle. The young girl on the front desk was lovely. We used their beach towels to go the beach. We didn’t partake of the morning coffee across the road but did walk to the free happy hour first day. A long walk for a sweet cocktail (endless) but a nice touch. Room was spotless and comfortable. Nothing
- 2/5
Location in South Beach was convenient Room had a chemical smell, very humid, bed was not comfortable, bathroom was small, but hotel was very stingy with towels. We were only given two small bath towels. The window unit AC was loud and the room was extremely damp and humid. I was not expecting a 5 star resort, but it was definitely not a 3 star hotel. Amenities were limited, limited ice, and water options. The key card reader was difficult to use and required 5-7 swipes each time I wanted to access the room.
- 5/5
Staff was great. Little Snickerdoodle Jainee and Caramel Litzy were absolute Dolls.
- 2.5/5
The room #105 without ventilation, no windows, all closed. The only way to ventilate is using noisy wall-mounted air conditioner. The room is near lobby and bar, noisy is constant up 2-3AM. The room gave me allergie, congestion. We are elderly people with 5 suitcases, it's impossible to climb the narrow stairs to the second floors then you must go to room #105 at ground floor. Breakfast is just a free cup of coffee at another location and you cannot get a complete breakfast. They have a bar at another location. They have a pool 8 blocks away!. All services are in other location!!!
- 5/5

The room was great! Will be coming back again soon
- 1/5
rooms opening to outside in an area that looked shady. Man at front desk was great. We did not even stay—we lost our payment of over 150.00 and never went inside the room. we did get reimbursed for 3 nights. We were shocked expedia has it listed looking so good as a hotel
- 1.5/5
Location Stairs and hallway were filthy. No coffee in room or even reception - you had to go across the street.
- 4/5
Great location, downstairs bar with drink specials, friendly & helpful staff. Narrow hallways & stairs only (historic art deco building, so to be expected), overwhelming smell of cleaning products in common areas
- 4/5
Excellent staff, Alexis was very accommodating. Held our luggage while we waited for our room
- 4/5
All good great location
- 5/5
Excellent location, just great, loved it xx many many thanks
- 3/5
The room wasn’t bad , but the housekeeping doesn’t clean the room everyday, you have to tell them , and the bathroom is bad no window in the bathroom or air extractor

The room was so small. Run down and dirty. Communication was horrible. It took me 30 min to check in. No apologies. Bar was supposed to open at 7pm. Didn’t open till 7:40pm. Never again do not stay here
- 2.5/5
Difficult to get hot water in Shower, Manager said had to turn on slowly? Furniture dated, room pretty small.
- 4/5
Mattress and linen were clean and comfortable. Room structure is a tad bit rundown.
- 5/5
Loved the room, very comfortable and loved the lobby. The buy 4 shots for $20 was an amazing price

Bathroom was very small, there was minimal hot water. Room was decent for a 2 night stay & it was in a good area.

The bartender is awesome and he always remembers us cause we stay here every year
- 1/5
Everything was bad
- 5/5
Pleasantly decored boutique style hotel with very friendly staff. Conveniently located near to ocean drive main strip.
- 2/5
-Excellent location -Very friendly and helpful staff -Clean rooms -Well-equipped with AC, safe box, hairdryer, etc. -Beach towels and beach chairs provided Cons: -Very strong air freshener smell throughout the lobby and room, which makes breathing uncomfortable -Some bed sheets are old and noticeably darker than others -When the temperature drops at night (below 19 °C), turning on the heater produces a very unpleasant, unbearable odor -Ongoing construction next door; workers and loud construction noise start as early as 6:00 AM, which can significantly disturb your stay -The cleaning equipment storage rooms are located right next to the guest rooms, so staff going in and out in the morning creates noticeable noise that can be clearly heard inside the rooms.
- 5/5
Very professional staff , rooms are clean ,latzy and Amy the receptionist are very friendly helpful and professional, I enjoyed my stay.
- 1/5
Had to walk to another property for coffee, yet another property for pool. There was a daily reception at a site 1 mile from hotel. Limited beach chair- mostly gone by early morning.very small room with no microwave, coffee machine. Very pricey with little amenities. Definitely stay away from this property.
- 5/5
Staff was welcoming. Needed help with lugfage on the stairs but help was offerred.
- 3/5
Best thing about this property is the location. It’s in the middle of south beach and 2 blocks from the beach. Lots of stuff around. The property itself is old and not too clean. Lots of bugs in my shower, hallway carpets stained and dirty, lots of dust and little bentos in the room. Morning staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Night staff was not very friendly. They also failed to mention to me at check in that they lock the front door and you need a code to get access after hours. I would say book this place only if you are on a tight budget.
- 5/5
Everything is good 👍
- 5/5
The staff are very frendly
- 4/5
The staff was amazing. We were only a couple room down from the main lobby on the bottom floor which was very close to the bar so it was really noisy and we didn’t have any hot water.
- 4/5
It is no for families and there is no elevator
- 5/5
Clean room, welcoming staff, great location for walking and exploring
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Friendly staff that provided good information.
- 3/5
Need elevators
- 5/5
I like the location. And staff were very friendly. But the door locked. Did not work for the first. Some of the outlets doesn’t work.
- 5/5
Nice
- 3/5
Overall, I’d say you get what you pay for, but with the extra $35/day tacked on, the cost for four days ends up being about what you’d pay for a nicer hotel right on Ocean Drive.
- 5/5
CLEAN CLOSE TO EVERYTHING
- 5/5
Love everything about this hotel
- 2/5
CONS: Add $35+ per night resort fee (they don’t tell you till you check in then it’s too late. For what? I don’t know they don’t have a pool or anything- they say for wifi (lol) everyone has wifi and for towels … it’s just wrong. They say they have a sister hotel pool but it’s like super far away need to take uber to get there didn’t go better to just walk to beach. The carpet in stairs in old and dirty and no elevator so you will need to haul your luggage up 3 + flights of stairs , got a double bed room the mattress are sinking on each side on both mattress I don’t even want to see what they look like and how much DNA is prob soaked up in them .. I got bit by little bugs not sure what they are but even though I’ll mention some pros I won’t stay here again it’s just not worth it spend a tiny bit more and get a better hotel. PROs : Location is nice , near Beach and 7-11 and the cleaning ladies are nice : front staff are ok . That’s about it . They will write a response to this as we are sad or we are sorry it’s bull s()it they aren’t sorry they cut and paste it they aren’t going to fix anything t GET RID of the Resort FEE if you are sorry or sad about my comment . Your Hotel is no resort has nothing with the $35+ per night you are just robbing people greed will be your downfall . PASS on this HOTEL
- 1/5
Rooms very outdated and small not worth the money I spent to stay there. Would recommend anyone staying there.
- 4/5
This was a great hotel for nights around a cruise for anyone wanting to stay in South Beach. It was quaint and comfortable, and we could walk to many wonderful restaurants and to the water. Be aware that there are no elevators or staff to help carry luggage to the higher floors. I would select to stay at a hotel near the airport with a free transport service to the cruise ship next trip, but I highly recommend the great experience of staying at the Shelley at least once!
- 5/5
I liked it just didn’t have a pool
- 2/5
Dirty
- 2/5
The only thing good that I could say is the hotel location and small refrigerator that in my room was placed
- 4/5
Enjoyed my stay .
- 1/5
This property is very small and the rooms are very small and not completely clean. There is noise at night. On top of that, apart from the reservation on Expedia, the hotel charges 34.2 per day per room.
- 5/5
Fast easy checkin/out. Front Desk staff was great. 9/10 highly recommended and will stay again. Only dislike is there is no luggage storage. Great location, 1 block from beach.
- 5/5
The only issue I had was at check-in. This site does not tell us about the resort fees. When I paid on this site, it says total taxes and fees. However, when we got there we had to pay an extra 30 or $33 a night for the resort fee which was not expected. It would also be great if they had an affiliation with whoever runs handing out free beach chairs. We got to the shack and they said they did not have a contract with hotel Shelly :-( but I'm still going to definitely stay here again, it was a perfect location and we loved our room. It was cozy

Although the room itself was clean and in order, the door key apparatus was broken, resulting in numerous calls to the desk clerk to facilitate room entry. Hallway and stairway carpets throughout the hotel were stained and filthy. Elevator was not working, resulting in carrying baggage up and down three flights of stairs. This noisy hotel was in a very poor state of repair.
- 1/5
They didn’t check me in , and know i have to spend my time, to fight my refund back
- 3/5
The curtains had stains and the fridge didn’t work during our stay. There is no vent in the bathroom so it’s more susceptible to get stuffy and smelly and humid. The bed had a dip in it from constant use.
- 1/5
We asked to speak to the manager, hoping to resolve the issue, but instead were met with outright hostility. The manager was shockingly disrespectful, didn’t even attempt to make any kind of agreement, and just walked away, saying — word for word — “Either you pay or get the f** out.”* I was in disbelief that any professional in hospitality could behave like that. The room itself was a joke: tiny, poorly maintained, and there was no hot water in the shower. On top of that, the hotel had no luggage storage, which is unacceptable for travelers needing even the most basic convenience. This place is a scam and a disgrace. I wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemy. Stay far away!
- 5/5
Amy and the entire staff was awesome, the room was flawless and clean....perfect!
- 3/5
We really like the location and the hotel has a historic look but walking 3 flights of stairs to your room after having a long day is rough. Also the water pressure in the shower needs fixed. Other then that the hostess was great and the location is close to everything.
- 5/5
Loved the location
- 4/5
I loved staying here for it being so close to the beach! It was a nice experience with a great staff and a great bar area. I will say it gets very loud at night and lots of hookah smoke but overall the rooms are very small but decent and simple and had everything I needed.
- 5/5
we enjoyed our stay there, it was a nice hotel for the weekend. all good vibes there!!
- 5/5
Valentina was amazing… she was very professional and helpful. We loved the employees at the bar. The couple made our stay memorable… the quality of the drinks was outstanding and the price was something that we were grateful for… My birthday vacation was amazing because of this amazing hotel! Thank you to the staff and management
- 5/5
Wonderful place, staff was wonderful.
- 4/5
Happy hour
- 4/5
Hotel Shelley is clean and near the beach and establishments.
- 5/5
The property was nice, but there’s no elevator you had to walk up three flights of stairs
- 4/5
Great location
- 5/5
I was a little worried as the price was low but really, I was nicely surprised. The lady at the reception when I arrived was amazing, the rooms work well and the room and bed sheets were very clean. The location is perfect: on 9th, there's a little supermarket, a liquor store, Bonjour Café that offers really nice food and smoothies and it's right by a main entry to the beach with lots of volley ball sets and work out area (so fun and active). Pay more for what? I'll be going again.
- 3/5
My stay was ok the hotel was pretty basic which was expected
- 5/5
Near the beach <3
- 5/5
I have stayed here 5 times !
- 1/5
Very old and disgusting room
- 5/5
Nice location to beach, food, shopping and bars. Housekeeping got 1 of our 2 rooms ready to store our luggage, thank you. Got it ready at noon, 3pm check in. No elevator for upstairs, glad we had ground level.
- 4/5
Over all very good. Excellent locaton. However, on Expedia they say the price is the price. Nevertheless, I was charged $136.80 more at check in. Expedia did not pay enough?
- 5/5
Clean and location
- 4/5
The property is nice for where it’s located. It’s a small boutique hotel so they don’t offer all the things a normal hotel would, but it was nice and clean. The rooms are pretty small. We had one with two full size beds. The bathroom was clean and the bar tender and check-in personnel were great.
- 5/5
Valentina at the Front Desk was amazing.
- 5/5
No elevator, but great location.

I enjoy Valentina the host for Check. She was amazing. Made the stay comfortable.
- 5/5
fast and friendly check in and staff, I really enjoyed speaking with Valentina, she was such a sweet and beautiful person and so helpful and professional.
- 4/5
Great location very close to the beach and activities would stay again
- 5/5
The receptionist Ayme was awesome, so helpful and charming
- 5/5
Nice
- 3/5
Good location but had an issue due to error on their end and they did not reimburse for night missed. A bottle of cheap wine doesn’t make up for it and we just let it go but would not stay there again.
- 5/5
Loved the Hotel and loved the staff, will stay here again!
- 1/5
Horrible experience
- 4/5
Honestly, one of the nicest staffs I have encountered. It’s a nice, classic place to lay down. I haven’t spent much time in my room, been out and about, the Atlantic is a 5 minute walk away. But every time I come back to shower or chill, the staff has been welcoming and sincerely happy to have guests. Thank you for the amazing kindness.

- 4/5
It is a unique property, well run and clean. It was a pleasant stay. Unfortunately the cost of overnight parking was more than anticipated, but otherwise - all was good.
- 4/5
Close to the beach
- 5/5
The hotel was beautiful and amazing the vibe was right .. clean with friendly staff will back back again
- 4/5
All staff was awesome! Great rooms! Great drinks at the bar. Only complaint was the tv was very Old and didn’t really work. But I also never complained about it and didn’t tell anyone. I’m sure they would have accommodated
- 5/5
No elevator, have to carry luggage but other than that great location.
- 4/5
the place is really quiet I love it
- 5/5
Room was very small but it done the job. Staff was very friendly. Hot water didn’t work at first but maintance
- 5/5
Amazing staff
- 4/5
Place was clean. Room was a great size and the shower was nice and hot. Location was fabulous!
- 2/5
The wifi did not work in the room. I had to stand out in the hallway or go to the lobby to use wifi. Whole hotel needs to be updated. The bed frame had rips in it. The mirror in the bathroom was peeling up. Is not a pleasing place to stay. Only good thing was the location and that is all.
- 5/5
The lady at receptionist was super professional
- 5/5
Nice hotel Near the Strip
- 5/5
Happy
- 4/5
Service was good, staff was very friendly and helpful, cleanliness was good but the room I booked was a bit noisy at times and on different occasions I had woken up to people yelling/ talking loud from the lobby/ bar area or outside during the morning.
- 3/5
Great location, older property, clean, friendly service. No elevator.
- 5/5
I enjoyed my stay at hotel Shelley! The ambience is great
- 5/5
The staff were wonderful and it’s the perfect location for enjoying all that south beach has to offer. Close to the beach, shopping, restaurants and bars.
- 5/5
Amazing hotel, great service!
- 5/5
The room was very clean and the amenities were very good. There was a mini bar and food in the room which was available to purchase, this was expensive and I would recommend walking 5 minutes to 7-Eleven and getting you drinks and food from there! The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The cleaning crew were also very helpful and made the hotel and rooms have a nice clean feel. The hotel is situated in the middle of Colins Ave, which had bustling restaurants and bars up and down. It is also a 2 minute walk to Ocean Drive with beautiful beaches, bars and restaurants. The hotel does not offer parking, but there is a reasonably priced car parking 5 minutes down the road! This hotel was perfect for me and my partner and was a perfect location for us to enjoy our holiday. Thanks for the stay!
- 5/5
2nd time staying here will return again
- 4/5
Loved the staff at the reception btw day and night, great customer service
- 5/5
Great service! I was treated so well.
- 5/5
The staff was EXCEPTIONALLY PROFESSIONAL. They answered all my questions and they were extremely helpful!! I will recommend The Shelly Hotel to family and friends and I will come back and stay again this year.
- 1/5
When I first entered the hotel
- 5/5
Clean fresh
- 4/5
It was good and the Staff was very nice
- 1/5
The hotel smelles horrible and was not very clean there was mold on the ceilings
- 5/5
Very nice place!
- 5/5
I enjoyed staying at the Shelley Hotel. The decor needs to be updated, other than that my stay was excellent.
- 5/5
The staff are super friendly and kind. This is a great area, close to south beach.
- 4/5
Its a nice place to stay more if you compare price with other hotels in the area. There are few things that i believe they can improve. For example, the shower didnt work properly but it works. I had the double bed ans trust me there is no room to leave your baggage. But overall ita a good place to stay.
- 5/5
Overall my stay was great, if i could add anything I would say a bit better outdoor seating but you also have access to their sister hotel across the street which does have couches on their porch. Other than that i would give this place a 5/5 everything was very clean and the room was nice & safe!
- 5/5
Great experience. Great service and great hotel!
- 2/5
The front desk was nice and the cleaning ladies OK, but the smell in the rooms is terrible. They have a mold problem or something. The bathrooms don't have an exhaust fan, the water was cold and the only thing you can sit on in the room was the bed.
- 5/5
Great place great location
- 4/5
goodlocation.
- 3/5
1. My room was right next to the bar which played very loud, bass-heavy music every night until 2am, making it difficult to fall asleep. 2. The bed was advertised as queen-size but it was in fact full-size (also known as double-size), which is smaller. 3. The hotel sent me an email telling me to check in at a nearby other hotel, but when I got to that other hotel, they told me the email was mistaken, so I had dragged my luggage around that extra bit for nothing.
- 5/5
Good
- 4/5
Great location. Very friendly. Bar in lobby. Very good coffee in the lobby in the morning.
- 5/5
Great staff. They took amazing care of us. I honestly would go and will go back just because of them. 10/10
- 5/5
Great place to stay!
- 3/5
There is no elevator to carry my luggage. Too much noise at night time. Staffs are so helpful and friendly to help. The location is so convenient.
- 5/5
great area, friendly staff!
- 5/5
Friendly att of staff
- 4/5
Accommodations are simple, comfortable with uncomplicated minimalist designs in light woods with marble bathrooms. My stay at The Shelley Hotel a few weeks ago was nothing but pure pleasure! Room was clean a cozy! Perfect location to enjoy South Beach without having to drive anywhere! So I will be back!
- 4/5
Great Location! Centrally located and walking distance from South Beach and all the bars and restaurants there
- 5/5
Amazing
- 3/5
Would not recommend. Our room was 112. It used 119 and put a tail on the 9 to sort of make it look like a 2. Hallway was dirty. Was sent a message to check in across street at Chesterfield, but when we tried that was told to go to Shelley instead. Asked about ordering food. Said was brochure in room for room service but there wasn’t one.
- 5/5
Good
- 2/5
The hotel is located at south beach which is convenient if you’re visiting because every is closed by. The staff are very nice and cordials. The only thing I didn’t like was that the bathroom was dirty. The garbage can in the was full of dirty poop paper. I got so disgusted I have to throw up.
- 5/5
Staff was friendly also free shot at bar offer
- 3/5
Key cards didn’t work. I had to change rooms because of it. Heard comments from other guests. No elevator. Had to carry suitcase up 3 flights.
- 4/5
The water was cold and the water goes all over the floor
- 2/5
Room smells bad
- 5/5
This was an amazing stay. The GM was so welcoming to the property & definitely made our experience that much better. I would recommend Maria and her team any day.
- 5/5
Excelente!
- 4/5
It's easy access to all area
- 4/5
The Hotel Shelly suited my needs and was ideal for a conference weekend.
- 3/5
Room was nice enough, check in process was a little hectic and the key cards for the room were a little bit iffy (had to replace mine). But overall it was the perfect room for what I needed it for. Staff inside the Shelley were very kind and understanding. Good privacy, and no overbearing staff getting in our business. I will probably be back at the Shelley when I come back to visit South Beach, Miami.
- 2/5
As camas e o banho são ótimos. O quarto estava razoavelmente limpo.
- 3/5
No window in the bathrooms to release the fog from showering. No phone in the room. No microwave in the hotel. The room service guest barely spoke English and ran out of towels.
- 3/5
Issues with the tv not working , loud construction noises
- 1/5
Very disappointed. first things first upon check-in there was only one lady there checking in for three buildings then she tried to charge me an extra $60. We only had one towel in the room when we got there. The rooms are really small. we ended up leaving a day early and I don’t think she ever checked us out because I have yet to receive a confirmation that I’ve been checked out. I do not want to be charged for a day that I did not stay there we left at 9 AM on Thursday. We were supposed to stay until Friday.
- 5/5
Great location. The building is old but clean. The bathroom was upgraded. The personnel was supportive. Met my expectations.
- 2/5
The condition of the hotel is pretty bad. It looks like it has been remodeled but everything that was remodeled looks like a 5 year old did it.
- 3/5
Def was a unique property. Wish Expedia would’ve told me about the $170 resort fee you’re forced to pay. Area is great though
- 5/5
Good stay
- 1/5
Called front desk over 50x. My rooms internet didnt work, it rained and water came in my room and shornted ac. Slipped and fell on water. The room was legit moldy. I couldnt get anyone to help move my room. Was extremely disappointed. Was charged an amenity fee for tv and hard wood floors. Floors were all mismatched and broken and tv didnt work half the time. Been to miami several times. Purchaser beware absolutely disappointed.

This stay was very affordable and perfect location for fun and beach vibes

The carpet in hallway needs to be replace, the shower needs to be adjusted so water can go down drain without being in bottom while taking a shower, and more tv channels! The staff was amazing

My stay would’ve been perfect if I didn’t have to walk up & down 3 flights of stairs just to walk across the street to their sister hotel to talk with staff! They do not have a working telephone line in either hotels! So if you’re having an issue that is what you have to do! We stayed for a week with no TV! Staff claim it was the cable acting up but every channel had an infomercial all day :( ! Thank goodness we weren’t in the room much! The only pros were that they had a bar in the lobby which had really cool esthetics and a good vibe! Very close walking distance to the beach and Ocean Drive :) other than that I wouldn’t stay here!

Rooms were clean, but had heavy smell from the hookahs in lobby bar. AC units are loud window-style units

Got there, was greeted by a very rude staff member that kept cursing people out. Super unprofessional. She then ‘forgot’ to charge me a resort fee and went all the way up to my room to collect the $100. Very unorganized. We needed new towels, never got any. Had to keep reusing wet towels. Room in poor condition. Dusty food items and bathroom door wouldn’t close. People arguing in rooms next to us, felt ghetto. Oh and check in is weird and inconvenient. It’s across the street in a separate building a little confusing.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel to my dog. It smells like piss from the moment you enter the hotel all the way to the room we had 215. The carpet look like it hasn't been cleaned since the hotel was built. The water in the shower wasn't hot. We couldn't our $ back. It taught me to make sure you check reviews before i pay for a hotel. OMG!! I had to wash all my clothes when we made it back home even the clean ones we didn't wear because of the smell.

Given paper upon check in with number to text for from desk help. This wasn't pointed out at check in. Made several trips across the street before desk clerk pointed it out. Toilet clogged the second night. Informed desk clerk. Repair person came to room while grandson was in the shower and didn't return. Toilet not fixed until about noon the following day. Evening desk clerk very nice, polite, and helpful. Day clerk not so much. Blamed it on lack of coffee.

The hotel is conveniently located close to the beach, bars, restaurants and transportation. Hotel was quiet and clean. The only downfall was we had no tv service but 1 channel and they charge you $171 for hotel fees which was crazy bc the hotel had no amenities. We had to check in at the sister hotel across the street, along with getting towels and ice for the beach. Aside from this downfall we enjoyed our stay and wouldnt mind staying there again.

The lady at check in was horrible and rude. She acts as if the customer is bothering her. She is a the bigger lady that worked the front desk. The others were great. The best part was the bar owners at the Shelly hotel. Super friendly and helped make week better than it would have been.

On arrival there was only one receptionist for two hotels. Housekeeping doesn't clean the room daily, nor check if you want clean towels or remove trash. Their lobby has a small bar and have music blasting till 3 am. There is NO direct number to the front desk or reception. You call their customer service and no one picks up the phone, it is a loop of computerize menu, and when you choose to speak to an agent, no one picks up. Their customer service doesnt exist. Is this place a deal to stay there, I say NO! I've stayed in a different hotel chain two blocks away, without hidden fees, or extra taxes to be paid on arrival, and have better customer service.

Wish they would put more towels in the room

Over all they can do BETTER. Why do the guest have to go across the street for ice. How difficult can it be to place a ice box in the shelley building?? Must travel a mile to the available pool. Wish they would let open the bathroom window. Since there is no ventilation. Also the bathroom had a funky stank. Not dirty but a deep rooted smell. Finally the shower drain is placed in the middle so the water pools in the front of the shower. Wonder what genius thought of that. Over all they can do BETTER.
