    Everything was perfect. The location was great you could walk to other areas on Collins street. The breakfast was fantastic and the beach access was just what we were looking for. We will stay here again if we return to Miami.

    Al llegar reporte que el secador de cabello estaba roto, primer inconveniente. ( aunq fue solucionado) continuó funcionando incosistentmente. El aire acondicionado no enfriaba la habitación, pasamos calor para dormir, además de eso liquiaba por la rejilla y se acumuló agua en el techo lo que caía al piso y ponía en riesgo de resbalón, se reportó y también lo arreglaron y continuó el goteo de agua al piso. Las camas pequeñas y molestas. No se si se deba a que es temporada baja pero regresé al hotel porque mi primera experiencia había sido buena, pero después de esta no creo regresar. Solo rescatar el bufet que si mantuvo la calidad.

    I don’t have much negative to say. I wish the property entry is little wider but they can’t do much about it. The lobby is wide and open. So that that covers it. Also, I wish they had more beach umbrellas as they run out fast. The swimming pool is little small and most of the time no music in the pool which some people would like. I loved this property and I may stay here again if I come to Miami.

    when we entered the lobby, we got the keys and our room was on third floor and it smells all over the floor, my kids about to vomit, some how we got to the room, my kid went to the bathroom and there is no exhaust in the bathroom, the whole room got the bathroom smell, we have to open all the doors, the room curtains was ripped. i would not recommend that hotel to any one. we paid 500 dollars per night.

    Hotel Riu is a beautiful well kept property. Very clean and rooms are spacious. We had a balcony view which was worth the up-charge. The hotel does charge an additional resort fee and they have valet parking. The pool and beach area are both top notch. A full breakfast buffet is in included. The food was mediocre in my opinion. The dinner buffet is not included and we tried it on our first night. The food was flavorful and we enjoyed. But two cans of coke were $21. Overall I give them a 3.5 stars.

    Close location to where the wedding festivities were taking place nearby. Beach access was nice. Food service was good and quick. Great size room we were given, gorgeous ocean view. Breakfast included was phenomenal! Housekeeping and the bellhop and valet were so fast and kind. The room was very damp and musty. The pool itself was closed for half our stay. The hotel in general was a bit outdated. The price was very expensive.

    Location was great as the bus stop was right outside the property. Easy to travel around by bus. Breakfasts were good. The room was old and dated, the lifts were slow and didn’t have enough capacity for the hotel, and the stairs were concrete. The bar of an evening was more like a cafe with a small counter for toiletries and snacks. It wasn’t comfortable or relaxing.

    the Staff. Really they were the best. Always polite and helping us for every little thing. there are many Argentines. If you don't have a problem with them screaming in the aisles when you are sleeping, to see them going with soccer t-shirts to have breakfast and serve themselves dishes for 3 people and leave half of them, stay in the pool seing like they leave dirty around the pool and tables, or if you want to go to the beach in the morning and use a deck chair, but you can't sit because are of all theme occupied with towels or bags so that no one else can use them, Until 4 hours later when the rest of their family arrives and you have nowhere to sit, then you can go to this hotel. Unfortunately as an Argentine that I am, if you can avoid them, even better. The staff is the best thing about the hotel, but they don't do so much. Without Argentines, the hotel would be a very good place. Greetings.

This was very frustrating as the wait time was over 20 mins for an elevator!!! The rooms did not come with a body mirror , the pool was disappointing. Very small for a resort “ style hotel . The price was not fit for the accommodations.

    Food in the morning was great with a wide range of variety . however the Diner menu isn't that great and their %discount they offer is just a hearsay not much different from just paying full price . what i didnt like is the push to charge you on the room .Also the dinner menu lacked basic things like pasta , grilled chicken that are regular eats for picky eaters . hotel is great , housekeeping is great , bathrooms were a little slippery my daughter almost broke her leg multiple times in and out of the bathroom floor . a sign to say its slippery would be great . the outside bar by the pool the attendants seemed standoffish even the reception guys . otherwise /overral great location but i will not be staying again .

    Great food, good location,nice view from the room. Rooms are little bit old, there is no closed door for toilette. Stuff are rude, especially if they not receive expected tip. Tip should be something you deserved not by default. One morning we waited in bar 10 minutes without waiter to come and serve us. Also, no one helped us with out baguage upon check in and check out eventhough one person was disable so help would be very needed.

    Breakfast and dinner buffets were excellent. Felt like a resort. We had a partial ocean view room and the balcony view was amazing, as was the room. The staff was wonderful. However the person who assisted with checkout at the desk was not very friendly. It felt a little like he thought I didn’t belong there. I would definitely stay there again. Valet parking only, for $50 a day but the booking info said onsite parking options include a garage.

    Location nice Old fashioned room. You can hear people in the next room speak and listen to their conversation. Hallway incredibly noisy till late at night. Breakfast has a lot of options but is not warm enough, no fresh pastry and bread and therefore nothing really special. Therefore way to expensive for what you get

    The pool and proximity to the beach was ideal. The beds were terrible and flat, we upgraded to a deluxe ocean view and the room was still blocked by palm trees and a little glance of the ocean. The tv was not working as the channels did not match the guide. The shower did not look clean, and I’m not sure if we were on a level that employees were coming in and out of but at 4am it sounded like pots and pans were being slammed together. Although the pool and the lobby was very nice and the service by the employees was great, the pictures on the website did not match what the room looked like in person.

    To make matters worse, the front desk claimed I checked in late, while the valet said I arrived early—clearly just to justify charging an extra $20 valet fee. We ended up paying more for parking despite leaving at noon the next day, which should fall within a 24-hour stay. According to them, everything must be strictly 3pm–3pm, completely to their convenience. The room was dirty: socks under the bed and a shoe size sticker still on the headboard. The nighttime dessert from the snack kiosk was inedible—we threw it out. At the beach, chairs were broken, no staff was available to help, and when we finally grabbed empty chairs ourselves, someone showed up just to tell us we couldn’t sit there. Umbrellas were not allowed, unlike other nearby resorts. Breakfast was overcrowded and far from relaxing. When I requested a courtesy late checkout due to the poor check-in experience, they dismissed me, said there were no notes, and essentially called me a liar—c

    Overall I felt the price of the room did not match the quality. It was dirty, the bathroom fixtures didn’t always work and I was let down by the room. When checking in the front desk staff often swore which was unprofessional with children around. However the breakfast, lobby aesthetic and pool area were all lovely which made up for some of the other features.

    Our partial view ocean room was on such a low floor that we didn't really see anything,lol. Wasn't worth the cost of the upgrade. Breakfast is great. The towel cards are annoyance (you constantly keep counting how many you have because if you lose it it's $10. ) Parking is $50?!?! Found cheaper one somewhere else. Wasn't allowed to take a bowl of fruit to the room after breakfast.ok, it's a rule but I was treated like stealing a $200 lobster. Lol. They rather threw it away then let me keep it... Beach is nice and clean. Not enough chairs and umbrellas for everyone. So be early. Staff is nice. Pool area is nice, although the pool is not large but was enough. Kids were happy:). It's only about 4-5ft. Not bad overall at all but would probably try a different hotel if visiting the town again.

    We arrived late due flight delays and our room keys didn’t work 5 times, we had to have them re-keyed, go to the 4th floor and back again and again just for them to never work. A maintenance person came and fixed it after the fifth time. We were assured we would receive compensation for the issues but did not. We were unable to use the dinner vouchers we prepaid for due to schedule issues.

    I liked the options for seating around the pool. Pool side beverage service was appreciated, as well as the availability to smoke up near the cafe. Some of the staff at the cafe truly knew what they were doing, and some needed extra explanation, but everyone was kind and helpful. It was a bit inconvenient to have to bring a card in exchange for our towels. Seems like there could be an easy digital tracker per each room, towels returned, towel allotment restored. The fare at both restaurants were pretty mediocre fried American food. Standard bar food. It would benefit the hotel and the clientele to have multiple salad options/ fruit cheese plate options for kids and adults.

The bedroom was ok, but nothing special and a little clinical. In addition check in was very inefficient.     The room was great value for money. We have stayed in Miami several times & paid 3 times as much in other hotels for a smaller room. The staff on the whole were helpful & polite. One downside …when we booked we specifically emailed the hotel to ensure we had a car parking space available …we were told this wouldn’t be a problem. But when we arrived around 10.00pm the hotel car park was full & the only alternatives were a car park 11 minutes away or the street. Given we had been travelling for 24 hours this was not ideal. So don’t assume because you ask you will get a parking spot. It’s a pity you can’t pre book a spot

We had no blankets on our beds only two bed sheets, we called down for blankets and it took 45 min to receive and they were thin prison/type blankets. Overall not a good experience.     Booked an ocean view…got a view of palm trees on fourth floor. Rooms are outdated. Paid for extra person, seems weird in a two double bed room with three people. Despite paying for third person we routinely were given towels for two people. Air conditioning runs all night and is very loud. My wife used ear plugs at night.     Front desk staff was annoyed that we were checking in, then had questions about the hotel. Once we got to the room we should have taken the rude staff as a sign. The room was dirty, black mold in shower, odor coming from bathroom. Looking at the outside it looks nice then when you walk in they must have hired the local trade school to do the renovations because it was horrible. Paint on the floor from painting walls and missing the wall, rust on the doors was painted over, balcony door did not close properly and you had to fight to unlock and lock the door. Make sure you bring a fan because the temperature is a fight. You either are cold or hot.

    Unfortunately, the inconvenience of having to walk up & down 6 flights of stairs because the elevators were not working, took away from what could have been a pleasant stay. To make matters worse, the reception staff never acknowledged the issue. Turns out the elevators are often out of service. I will not return, not will recommend this hotel if you are traveling with people needing assistance

    We came for 3 nights for a wedding. It was just ok. The elevator being the biggest flaw. Too many guests for only 2 elevators.it was a long wait each time we had to take it. Our room was ocean view with a balcony. The view was nice. The linens and towels were stained and there was a toenail on the floor. The beds were comfortable. The morning buffet was pretty chaotic. A lot of choices but nothing made me want to go back. Lots of seating around the pool but a smaller pool than what we expected. Location was convenient. I guess for Miami prices this is standard. I just wouldn’t return.

    The one thing that I have to mention about this hotel is their water pressure. Almost all hotels have little water flow and little pressure. It is normal, but this only hotel got the biggest water flow. It was amazing to take a shower that was more comfortable than own home. I have never seen a hotel with the water flow. It was so comfortable

    Bernardo the front desk agent should be at the back of house. I walked to the front desk to check in & three agents were on the desk, i approached Bernardo, he saw me coming & was deep in conversation with his colleague. The colleague glanced at me nodded his head & i said hello. Bernardo was still deep in conversation, didnt acknowledged me or even said hello i will be with you shortly. I stood there for what seemed to be a good minute & a half before he turned his head & acknowledged me. That left a bitter taste in my mouth. I have visited other Rui properties & never experienced that kind of behavior. I dont think he needs training his behavior is innate. On our last morning i wasnt feeling well & my room mate went to the desk to ask where he could get some water, Bernardo was there, flat out said he didnt have any. My roomie ask if there was a water fountain cause it was urgent he got some water. It was the lady at the desk that said she could get us some water. Now thats elevating the guest experience.

    I am a picky eater but I found food on every occasion that suited my pallet at the restaurant and main dining room. The valet service was very good, we had no issues with our car.The bathroom tiles are very slippery it’s an accident waiting to happen, even though the bars are there, it doesn’t stop a person from sliding,also there’s a nasty smell coming from the bathroom I think it could be the drainage, it’s not nice at all. Thanks for your service I will visit again soon

    The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The king beds should, however, have 4 king size pillows instead of just 2. Also, spring for a Kerrigan in every room. Trust me, people want coffee in their room. They don’t want to have to dress to go to the lobby for coffee. Additionally, we were told we couldn’t bring coffee to our room and room service was not available. 😟

    Riu is where we will be. The rooms were clean and our ocean front was breathtaking! Also with us having just 1 day this was the perfect place because it is an experience in its own. Nice restaurants with good food and the bar tender OMG! Cafe for the coffee drinkers and a garden style pool area. The icing on the cake was the free breakfast buffet style! I truly have never seen a breakfast buffet better than this! There were plenty of option for everyone and plenty of seating. Thank you Hotel Riu for an AMAZING experience!

    I stayed at RIU Miami and was extremely disappointed with the service. They only provided 2 small bottles of water, and when I asked for more, I was told I’d have to buy them at $4 each. For a hotel charging nearly $300 per night, it’s unacceptable not to have basic amenities like complimentary water. On top of that, there were no dental kits, no slippers, and not even laundry bags in the room. For the price, I expected much better. Terrible service and not worth the cost.

    Honestly the staff made the stay so pleasant. They were very accommodating, kind, friendly, helpful and respectful. The “breakfast included” option was wonderful, great selection, I have a milk allergy and there was milk alternative (almond/soy, etc), and I was able to have fresh fruit & have the cook make my egg with no milk. If I can make a recommendation it would be to list milk allergies on all foods. I didn’t eat anything else because I feared it may have butter or milk in it. The mimosa on 1 of the days was delightful . The pool was a nice size. The pool area did not feel overcrowded, the staff took great care. The Maid service, valet parking, pool towel person, food service staff were really great! If I could make 1 more recommendation is -in order to be truly environmentally friendly, I did not have my towels washed daily. However, more towel racks in the bathroom (for 3-4 towels) and in the shower (for 3-4 wash cloths) are needed. There was no where to hang towels and that’s probably why most people have to turn them in to get washed daily. Again. Thank you for everything! It was a great stay.

    I also called late in the evening because housekeeping had taken one of the blankets from our room. To learn if u could get one back as our room had two beds, they said they did but there were no housekeeping and they couldn’t attend to my need; I had to go to the lobby. If I were staying at a cheap hotel I’d understand but I’m staying at. RIU really thought was going to get excellent service. Unfortunately service was not good; Also the restaurant opens for diner at 6:30; we left the pool to go have dinner, we’ll we weren’t allowed to go into the restaurant. the hotel, pool, beach access and all were good.

    The staff are scammers. They taxed us a 250 fee for a smoking violation they only made us aware of at check out. I had the staff to walk up stairs with me to smell the room. I don’t smoke and never did we smoke in the room. But they made us pay it. When asking for corporates information. They called the cops for retaliation of asking for corporates information trying to embarrass us. We spoke to the police and the police stated that it was poor customer service and they should not have called after asking for corporate when we already paid.

    The front desk team does not understand or execute a service culture. We stayed at the hotel for 4 days and on the first day informed the front desk that our televison was not functioning. They sent several maintenance people to check on it each time, the maintenance folks told us that there was nothing they could do to fix it. We asked to move and were told nothing available. We were told they would speak with management and get back to us- never heard a word. Upon check out, I asked if they would do anything on the invoice and was told that was not in their control. seems like not much is in their control. Need some service training.

    This was my second time staying at this hotel and my last! The first time was great and may be because it was a year after COVID. Many ppl still not comfortable traveling. Front desk guy Luis is a liar!!! He promised to take off resort fees because we had several complaints. Sheets were dirty on the bed. No wash clothes and had to wait forever to get them. The sink kept getting stopped up. Maintenance came on the last day. We were there for four days. I will be taking my business to Loews Miami Beach Hotel where customer service is excellent along with everything else!! Never again Riu!!!!

    The property was nice, I wish the pool had been larger. The sunning area was nice but the ground underneath was hard, difficult to walk on. I would have like more "covered" areas around the pool.     Nice hotel and pool. The beach is close easy access. Everything is clean the staff are nice. The alligator bar should stay open a lot later than 7pm for people who want to eat late. For the price you pay for this hotel all the rooms should a have a refrigerator and microwave we had 2 double beds with city view. We had a lot of food from area restaurants and ate it cold no microwave in the room. The breakfast buffet is good a lot of different choices. Overall nice stay

    So much to like about this property. Even with being rained out, the amenities and space made up for the down time. Alvin, at check in, was so help and accommodating, all while remaining calm, professional and kind. A lot of his female counterparts could use a lesson from him. The wait staff was so fun and efficient. We loved that the property was super family friendly, and everything was in walking distance. The pool and beach did not disappoint. Will return.

    Loved my ocean front room with a balcony. Liked the location of the hotel. Is in quiet area but can easily get down to the action in South Beach via trolley. Pool and beach are nice. Service could be better. We requested more pillows that were promised but never brought. Service at beach was unhelpful. We arrived and were told we could sit anywhere so I picked a spot with a towel on it. Half an hour later someone came to tell me that was their spot. People come down very early to put towels on front row beach chairs to save their spot. I watched a drama unfold while several groups id sunbathers argued over chairs. One man had taken a picture of his towel on chairs two hours earlier to prove his ownership. Service at beach didn’t know how to handle. If they were more helpful as bathers came down it would help solve the problem.

The breakfast buffet was terrific. Having close access to the beach was great. The head valet person was very aggressive about asking for a big tip.
