My stay at Hotel Rendale was overall fantastic. The property offers top-tier service, and I especially appreciated the seamless access to the beach and pool, which made our relaxation days truly special. The staff was perfect: extremely courteous, professional, and always ready to meet our needs with great efficiency. The only thing I feel I should mention is the comfort of the bed and pillows, which I found a bit uncomfortable for my personal preference. However, considering the excellence of all the other services provided, it remains an excellent choice for anyone visiting Miami.

Everything was good except the aisles on each floor, they are painted on navy blue so there are so dark and do not inspire confidence. Also the finishing of the floors are poor, flors on exterior of the rooms are unfinished concrete floors looks terrible, but rooms are clean en spacious …

This place was amazing. Upon walking in, it smelled amazing and it was very scenic. The room was clean with daily cleaning service offered. The property had a pool as well as an amazing restaurant on site. It was giving resort style stay. They even had a laundry room next to the pool to wash and dry your clothes. We come back to Miami in August and will stay at the same place. Prime location as well next to a lot of restaurants and the beach 10/10.

Cons: Onsite bar is overpriced (plus the bartender actually asked me what ingredients go into the $22 gin martini I ordered), no free coffee available in the mornings (but there is a Starbucks two or three blocks south), no hand towels in the room.

Everything was clean and in order except the pool. Pool was not maintained and noticed a lot of hair strands floating around me. My only complaint. Also there is no parking there, the only hotel near that offers overnight parking for a fee of 68-84/night is the faena so keep that in mind!

Another huge issue with this hotel is the restaurant “pikio taco”. If you don’t pay attention and in hurry to tip, please slow down they already done it for you. In you receipt you will find automatic gratuity of 20%. We were not expecting this and gave them cash tips as well. Our bad. But that felt sneaky… All the plumbing was wore out. In the king bed instead of regular king mattress there were 2 twins which is extremely uncomfortable and we didn’t sleep well at all. Also no vacuuming only sweeping. No microwave no coffee maker in the room. The room is furnished very bare and basic.

Excellent location with all Mid and South beach has to offer just outside the front door. Inside it’s a relaxing and calming oasis with a fabulous pool and garden space and sunroom plus a full bar and restaurant. Everything was so clean. The staff were beyond kind with every interaction. They offer beach chairs, umbrellas, and towels to take across the street. Offered complimentary luggage check. It was my second time at this location and will be returning annually.

Great staff, great location, new management pivoting in new directions close to the beach. They have a pool open 24 hours. I was in a very discounted room for four people that I had to myself, and then I moved to a king bed that was beautiful in the back and extended my stay. I was so happy. I highly recommend.

Location is great right next to Faena Hotel and the beach The fridge in the room released a gas that made in unbearable to be in the room - property had to change my room mid stay. Very noisy hotel.

Nice location, 3 min to the beach, 15 min walking to South Beach city center. Friendly staff trying to help. Good swimming pool. Initial room was difficult to access due to heavy rain. Fortunately they changed the room at no cost. No amenities for the shower (no shower gel / no shampoo). Room was quite basic for a 3 star hotel (no kettle, no coffee machine, no fridge, no locker,…)

Well situated, very good location.. they also provide you with a towel and chair if you want to go to the beach. I like the couches at the front of the hotel and the dining on the other side. The hotel design was quirky and love that they had a photo booth in the lobby (although it didn't work). the room definitely needed something. The bunk beds had chewing gum stuck underneath the top bunk and one of them smelled like pee, as did the toilet, though it seemed clean.. there's no ramp for your suitcases at the hotel entry and though theres a few steps, no one will/is there to help you.. same people at the pool throughout my stay and though the hotel can't do much about it, there aren't many chairs around the pool (it's small) so people shouldn't be allowed to occupy sunbeds and chairs also. Staff seem sparse, just cleaners and someone at the front desk; felt a little 'forgotten'.

The room was very clean, nice perfect view of the strip and beach from our room. 1 minute walk to the beach and a great restaurant attached to the hotel. Staff were helpful in all requests and every one was so upbeat and positive!

We had no where else to stay and the hotel cost too much for one night. For me not to get the room I booked!

Requested late check out via portal prior to arrival, however this was not shown when I arrived to check in, hence the hotel should check the functionality of the online portal. It should be noted that they did honour the price I was given, hence excellent customer service recovery.

restaurant and swimming pool are good. Room is so badly designed. No desk. In order to pull the curtains over the window you have to cover a A/C unit. No fridge also. Last but not least, they promised high speed internet which was a joke, the download speed was 8Mbps, the upload 5Mbps.

Meh. No bike rack. People keep to themselves; nobody wants to socialize. No events. No co-working place. Pathetic lounge where every seat is occupied, and people are looking at their screens. Really sad atmosphere, and staff are not interested in improving it. No parking. Overpriced bar/restaurant - and there arent that many eateries in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. Waste of money.

Didn’t actually seem like a hostel but more of a hotel for an incredible service. Bathrooms were amazing and clean. Loved everything about it. Maybe an in price included breakfast or a kitchen where you can cook yourself.

Very well located I was presently surprised. The view on our window was gorgeous and my friend and I felt very safe (two girls and we are both 21). There’s a restaurant as well and the prices are accessible. We had a short stay of 3 nights 2 days and it was perfect. Would go back. Also we landed really late and thank god the guy waited for us, whoever you were KING! The bon bouquet caffe is like a a five min walk away and very good as well. We also enjoyed the beach better in the are instead of south beach, felt more private. LOVED IT!

I liked most of my roomies and made friends who are coming to my home town later this month. Close to free trolley although you had to wait up to an hour for the free shuttle and after midnight one hour for paid city buses ?? We pay a lot of tax ; hotel, resort , charges and I think the public services dont measure up , no fault of the hotel but Florida ?? WTF?? One of my room mates was a little off and snoopy and did not make me comfortable , may want private room next time , and I got sick from their difficulty in communicating verbally in English perhaps , the non English speaking staff at 7-11 , McDonalds and transit make it difficult to maintain health with hand washing as they resent you in your face daily for speaking English to them and they use forced " action communication" and do not respect you the same way when the shoe is on the other foot and are hurtful to the point of blue cross so you have to buy medications to pay state tax , to many wild animals for my liking. Drink may have been poisoned at TWIST night club by Latina Drag Queen , but not sure

Hotel was nice and located about 3min walk from the beach. They have a taco restaurant right inside if you want to grab something quick to eat. overall, my experience was great. Staff was very friendly. They even let me check in early, which was nice.

Bed bugs beware

The facility was nice and clean, and we had a very good experience with the morning staff, prior to leaving. The morning staff was also able to extend our stay an extra hour, which was a great relief. I don't want to add, that when we arrived, the staff was very helpful in providing a location for our luggage, while we waited. My wife did not like the dark hallways to the room, I tried to explain it was part of the ambiance:) I believe there was a new owner and software system coming in place and we did not get our room till about an hour later. I was a bit disappointed when I asked an employee behind the desk if there was any ice I could get, he stated he'd look, and another employee next to him, abruptly stated, "we don't have ice!" Additional points of interest, the safe locked and would not open (I had to get a maintenance person to help, which they did great), and finally, the phone did not ring down to the front desk, after trying multiple times, I had to go to the front desk to talk with staff.

No one was helpful at the front desk. The room was not very comfortable. It wasn’t clean. The floor had not been mopped or vacuumed. It was filthy mold in the showers areas outside were a little better but the lounge chairs are rickety. It’s cute on the surface on the Saturday night of my stay, even though I was in a female Room a male came in at 12:30 while some of us were completely undressed. He just walked in it was very disturbing.

The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout the stay and made check-in very smooth. One of the highlights of the trip was that we were given a complimentary upgrade from the Junior Suite we originally booked to a Superior Junior Suite. That was a really nice surprise and made the stay even better. The upgraded room was spacious, comfortable, and very clean, with plenty of room to relax after spending time out on the beach. The amenities and common areas were also great, and the overall vibe of the property made it feel more like a boutique hotel than a typical hostel. It’s a great option whether you’re traveling solo, with friends, or as a couple and want to stay somewhere close to the beach without spending a fortune. Overall, it was a fantastic stay and definitely great value for Miami Beach. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend Generator Miami to anyone looking for a fun, clean, and well-located place to stay.

Generator Miami was a great place to stay. Clean, friendly staff, and I was fortunate enough to be given a room on the 7th floor with a view of the Maimi skyline at night. Beautiful! The beach is only a block away and it's also it's conveniently located with the #150 bus, which takes you to and from airport station, right across the street. I would choose to stay here again.

We paid for a king sized bedroom. Upon arrival, we noted that we had two twin sozed beds pushed together. This was not what I had paid for. My hubby, whom, is a larger sized man had to sleep on the one mattress as any slight movement caused the beds to shift apart. We planned for a romantic weekend, however, did not obtain what we paid for and clearly falsely advertised. I reched out to staff in person and also through the expedia messaging to express concern looking for a refund.

Room 1207 wasn’t very clean, with towels from previous guests -about 8 towels, the shower smelling mold because of the wet towels.Staff very nice but they left a brand new receptionist alone during the morning, who was struggling to do her job. I was number 4 in the room and my mattress was old and lumpy.

Stayed here with my husband for 10 days in a junior suite. Overall great experience, no complaints! It is true that they do not have heating system if the temps drop but Miami stays pretty warm. AC is great. Staff was friendly. We got house keeping every 3 days and it was great. Awesome location that’s quiet but close enough to walk to Miami strips. Would deff return!

Staff were friendly and there was a nice vibe about the place but would not return or recommmend to anyone over the age of 25.

the 1st few nights the pool was heated & it was fabulous & people were socializing & then I'm not sure why, cuz temp didn't really change, but it stopped being enjoyable. the rooms were what u'd expect. I did like that shower & toilet were separate. had to ask for housekeeping a bit but whatever if ur there for a short stag

Stayed in a 4 p room - no fan, no AC! But that was the only negative thing! The beds were comfortable and for the price - this is the best deal in Miami. It’s a block from the beach!

They overbooked the room and lied to me saying there will be no shower and water available to make me cancel the hotel bcz it was a busy day, I had to spend twice as much for an equivalent hotel. Manager was also unavailable. They are dishonest and unscrupulous.

Rooms are clean, bed is comfortable, no privacy curtains, so bring a beach wrap and command strip and fashion your own bed curtains. Bathroom is very clean and smells good. Not much group planned activity. You can hangout in the lobby areas and make friends on ya own. The restaurant attached to the hostel is a joke! Over priced, service charge automatically added without actually giving any customer service

The value is incredible and the staff all of them are very helpful and nice and attentive to all your needs especially Mercy. But the entire staff at front desk are great. I have stayed here many many times every time I had a question or needed help I was met with great hospitality and accommodated in seconds.

The room is fine. The power is out to the building. There doesn’t seem to be a lock for my bunk storage so I can’t really go anywhere because I can’t secure my belongings.

I can’t blame the staff, they were kind and professional, but the power was out from 6 PM till 11, I was in a dorm room with completely rude people, which I probably should’ve expected in Miami. People turning on the lights talking on a speakerphone at 2 AM. Drunk out of their mind. By 4 AM people started to sleep and then it was just snores and farts. Good reminder why I usually don’t stay in Miami.

Weak water pressure for the tap (took forever to wash your hands), no ledge or shelf to put things (it was difficult to store everything in the locker/safe). Reception/staff were mostly very standoffish and cold.

The only good thing I have to say is their pool is really nice, good temperature, and was mostly empty so I had a good swim. It’s also in a good location, 3 minute walk from the beach. The hallways are unfinished, just cement walls, feels like a jail cell.

The room was not well insulated. The walls shook when doors to other rooms shut. Traffic was noisy. The heat did not work during a December stay.

I booked this property and paid in full 2 weeks before arrival. After getting off plane, husband and i went to check in only for them to tell me they over booked. How when i paid in advance? It was 11:45pm. They Pressly literally told us they have a sister hotel that they were putting us in like 10 min walking distance. We had to walk with all our luggage to this hotel.(freehand was the name i think) Once we got there they put us in an outside apartment with bunk beds. No phone nor tv. It was like being in the desert. We literally slept with same clothes on that we wore on flight. That's how the room made us feel. We heard club music all night, dumpster being opened and closed, animals etc. We pulled the table up against the door. That's how unsafe it felt. I highly recommend that you NEVER book this hotel not freehand!

Clean room.

This is a roach infested hostel, not a hotel. This is advertised online as a kid friendly, family friendly hotel with excellent ratings. This is the grossest place I’ve ever stayed. The photos are very deceiving. I looked at them again just now after being all over this place. While looking at the photos, my child yelled roach and pointed to the wall right near my head. A roach was crawling up the wall right near my head. I’m grossed out and don’t want to sleep here tonight. There isn’t a tv in the room. There were no towels when we arrived in the room. The only positive thing I can say is that the breakfast was good and reasonable although I will not be eating it tomorrow. I can only imagine the roaches in the kitchen. We saw a roach last night when we first arrived in the room. Was too late and tired to move last night as it was almost midnight. Tried to check out this morning and asked to get a refund for the unused night. The front desk told me I can check out but would still have to pay for the unused night. Called Travelocity twice today and they couldn’t get in touch with the hotel. This place has to be the worst place I’ve ever stayed. I’ll also never trust hotel reviews again. This experience proves that they are fake. This is not as advertised and no way it gets excellent ratings.

What struck me the most was the festive atmosphere in the lobby as soon as you entered. The check-in and process were incredibly smooth and quick, and the staff was incredibly friendly.

The establishment controls the a/c - the room was hot, unbreathable. I did not stay and booked another hotel for this reason.

Extremely clean rooms. They lend towels to be used by the warm pool. Good food at the Pikio Tacos with 10% discount. I'd definitely stay here again.

Front desk disappears for 20 minutes. Restaraunt service is awful. It’s almost like you’re bothering them. Woman who mainted the property with blonde streaks, she wa amazing and so nice.

There is no napkin, ice machine, coffee maker, hot water available in the room/hotel. No parking available not even valet. AC does not work. Front desk staff feel not willing to help. Terrible experience.

Breakfast was good but there’s no discount for it as there is for lunch and dinner. Staff is friendly but would be nice to have someone available at the desk most of the time when we need them. Overall, this hotel has left a good impact on my trip and I would book again.

I really found property charming. But there were several undesirable guests. Several smoking cigs, one smoking pot and one smoking crack - by the pool in full view. Staff needs to monitor area more frequently. I told staff behind desk they didn’t seem to care.

The staff was accommodating. She switched my room when i ask a bottom bed. The place was clean, overall it's a nice place. I don't say this often, but it looks better in person than online.

Check in was easy, make sure you take care of it online before you arrive. The room I booked was clean and bright. This hotel is not as musty smelling as other small hotels in south beach area.

Enjoyable stay. Two blocks from the beach. Easy public transportation on bus to and from the airport. Lot's of places to spread out and chill, including the pool.

My flight was delayed and I called from 9PM-1030PM along with Expedia with no answer to let them know I would not be in until 1AM. No answer mailbox full for Expedia and myself. Even the following day from 8AM-12PM no answer. Thanks to Expedia they helped me woth credit and assistance in making a reservations down the street. Would bot recommend.

This property is really close to the beach! The inside of the Lobby and seating area is cozy and comfortable. The pool area and patio restaurant gives this hotel a unique touch. The hotel lost my reservations and were not sympathetic or accommodating about it but as the weekend went along they became more helpful and friendly. The only downside is the property doesn’t have ice readily available for guest. Guest must go to the on-site restaurant to ask for ice. They also will store your luggage if you have a later flight. The quality is good especially for the lower price. Not a good variety of close by food options nearby.

My bed sheet was dirty and I found hair, I also didnt have pillow and I called the front desk no one answered. I had to go downstairs and the elevator was taking a bit longer to open as well. I dont know where the 8 or 10 rating from regarding cleanliness coz I dont think the my bed was clean enough like someone was sleeping on it before and left stains plus the hair. The only good thing about this hotel is they have so many sitting areas from the front to the back where the pool is. Other than that I don't think I'll come back to thi hotel ever again. The pics doesn't really represent the reality of the cleanliness and everything else regarding the rooms.

I liked the space of the room and how walkable it was to the beach. I don’t like how you have to pay for parking. That needs to be changed for people who are coming out here with their cars already paying to stay at a hotel! Also, the showers and the bathroom rack provided need to be cleaned a lot better. Pretty sure I had mold in my shower on the side.

The checking was not pleasant since I was due some hotel fee that I have not pay before and this is my third stay here. The person here said that I wasn't make the reservation through Expedia and also he did not explain or treat me nice like It was not his job to explain the situation to me. Overall this is my 3rd time here bc I really like this hotel.

Very nice room in a very hotel. Parking sucks but I was able to park at a city garage about 3/4 mile away that has free and pay for shuttles and buses.

Just bad lady flirts with all guys waited in line for 10min just to get told room wasn’t ready.

The one thing I would recommend put people that are older in on section and the younger In one section

It's a great place. Food and drinks pricey but WELCOME TO MIAMI. I just wished they had frozen daiquiris or frozen margaritas. I'm a frozen drink person lol everything else was great location perfect. I learned the bus and free trolley routes. Great for shopping and other things.

Perfect stay. The pool terrace plus onsite bar was perfect for my relaxing getaway. Super posh and stylish boutique hotel. Ideal location, just a trolley ride away from the major spots in South Beach. I’m sad I’m at home in Atlanta and not catching a tan in that pool!

It’s a simple, clean, and well kept hostel property. Very noisy at night on a weekend but that isn’t unusual nor did it bother me. However, if you are a light sleeper, might wanna bring some good earplugs (they do offer them at the front desk). I loved my stay.

Wonderful stay. The only complaint I have (and I have to say, is a major one....) was the last minute $95 "resort fee" the front desk surprised me with during check in. That was super unpleasant being hit with that charge unexpectedly, so I would suggest either including that charge in your nightly rate or just not charging it at all. I felt lied to.

Nice area

Place was neat and clean. Room was comfortable. It was a little weird because it didn't have a closet. Rather, it had a series of shelves for clothes and an extended nook for hanging items. Plenty of dining options within a half-mile walk. About 1.5 miles from the heart of dining in South Beach. About a mile walk to the Fountainebleue (where I had a convention with rooms at more than twice the price). A five-minute walk to the brickwalk along the ocean and a swimming beach.

My overall stay was okay, it could’ve been a lot better. Our first night there, the room was flooded with water due to the water getting out of the shower when we would shower. I did bring it up to the front desk and they changed the hose, promising it would help, but it didn’t. We had to bundle up towels all over the bathroom to soak up the water and prevent it from going outside to the room. The AC also took a whole night to adjust and cool the room.

I love this place very great environment and the fact that Friday's and Saturday or Sunday's had classes like yoga or workout classes was great!!!

The gal that typically hosts the front desk is professional, courteous and classy. That really helps with the experience anywhere you go. The hotel has a wonderful pub and food. The lobby is nice. The music was good to hear every time we walked through. The service staff on the different floors is very helpful and considerate. The rooms were comfortable and the AC worked just fine. Great place to stay and a decent price as well.

This property doesn't have any parking options. It is a nightmare if you bring your car.

This was a great experience. Was in town for the Formula1 race and this served as a great home base. There are various types of rooms, including shared. I booked a private room. Space was clean, had everything I needed. Check in was seamless and very fast. Any time I needed service they were prompt and friendly. Very simple space, but fine for what I needed. Great location, quiet at night, restaurant food was tasty albeit a bit pricey for the area and what you get. Bar prices were normal for the area. I ended up going to other places around the area for breakfast, etc. as I found them better values. Overall, would absolutely stay here again without hesitation.

charged $31 amenity fee upon arrival. There was no mentioning of this fee during booking. Also another staff said it was for tax. Very confusing, and prob illegal charge. No parking at the hotel, although it is listed as with parking at expedia. The bed is very narrow. The shower does not wrok well, with shower head very low, and the post holding shower head coming out of the hindge. No Wifi during the two days' stay, and the management showed no intention to fix it. Overall a very bad experience. Will not come again.

The hotel location is good and walkable. There is only one elevator which is a bit slow. The rooms are bigger than most boutique hotels which was great. The hotel itself was clean but the pool did not seem very clean and the pool area could use a few more chairs. Otherwise a very good stay.

The hotel has only one elevator, which is shared by both guests and employees, making wait times unbearably long. Despite charging five-star hotel prices, the service is barely one-star quality. Another major issue is flooding. When I stayed there, heavy rain caused water levels outside the hotel to rise up to my knees for hours. The rooms are poorly equipped no closet, just a TV and a bed. The bathroom reeked of Clorox, and security is practically nonexistent since they don’t monitor who comes in or out of the hotel. To make matters worse, the restaurant in the main lobby blasts loud music all day and night, making it impossible to relax. I would never stay here again, not even for free.

Was not advertised but shows up as a hostel when you search the address. Loud techno music playing on the first floor all day. Room was dirty and shower was moldy. No room amenities (microwave, iron, conditioner, lotion, etc) provided. Not worth the rate per night.

When we entered our room, the room was a little tight and the air felt stuffy. We were on the 7th floor. There is no free parking on site per the front desk, you have to park at another hotel according to them. However, there is free parking on the streets from 3:00 AM to 9:00 AM from what we learn. The hotel is walkable to Miami Beach is the only good thing.

Bunkbeds, one pillow, one towel

Our stay at Generator Miami was awesome! The staff was super friendly and made us feel right at home. The vibe was great—fun, stylish, and a perfect spot to meet people. The heated pool was definitely the highlight, perfect for relaxing after a day out. Only thing to keep in mind is that Miami Beach is a bit far from the city, but honestly, it didn’t take away from the experience. 10/10 would totally stay here again!

It was just an ok hotel. They only do the bare minimum. It’s definitely more of a hostel setting. The young people at the front desk were not extremely helpful. They were out of things and stingy with towels and shampoos etc. Room was small and shower leaked all over into the main living area. It was a mess every day. They were out of the happy hour punch at the start of happy hour. One of the gentleman at the front desk was short and curt with his responses. We had a problem with our key a hour before check out which required 3 trips up and down the elevator. When I asked him if we could have some additional time to check out because of the inconvenience he sassily responded we could have 5 additional minutes. They later on told us they refunded the late check out fee but I could not get over his rude response. One guy told us at the beginning of our stay that they would be able to hold our bags after we checked out. On the day of checkout, I heard others asking if they could have their bags held, and he rudely told them that there was no more space. He just would not go above and beyond, and was such a rule follower instead of a person with good customer service skills. The hotel was in a very good location very close to the beach. It was clean and had a fun indoor atmosphere. The people working there just seemed to have no urgency or desire when it came to pleasing their guests. I’m actually surprised that the hotel has the rating it has on many websites.

We actually stayed as a family of five. We stayed in the private dorm and it worked out fine for our kids since they were excited about sleeping in bunkbeds. The space is tight though... not as shown in the picture online.... there was road construction going on overnight and we could hear it.... so that's a bit disturbing... the vide in the hall and the backyard is really nice. It smells really good too.

Property was nice . Had a private room with a shuffle board . A little different but was nice . Food was great and the pool was extremely warm .

We really enjoyed the youthful atmosphere and beautiful ambiance of this hotel.

The toilet didn’t flush properly but everything else was fine. The cafe had amazing food, but it took a long time to get served.

Another thing is my "king bed" was actually two twin mattresses pushed together so there was a dip in the middle of the bed that made getting any proper rest almost impossible. That aside, its a great location with a nice pool and a decent bar with some quality mezcals and solid food. The front desk staff were friendly and the place was very clean.

The young ladies at the Taco restaurant are super nice. Food and drink is good too
