It’s small, cozy. The location is great. Very close to the beach. They offer umbrellas and beach towels for free. My experience was more than I expected. I would go back in a heart beat.

Super affordable for a solo traveler. If you need a place to sleep and chill while also only a five minute walk from the beach, this is it.

The property is in a great location - close to everything, yet removed from the chaos. Conveniently located in close proximity to a grocery store and a Starbucks. An authentic Miami experience. The property needs an upgrade. The throw pillows on the bed need to be replaced - the smell of mold and dirt. They feel dirty to touch as well. The carpet in the hallways of the hotel smells damp, and of mold/wet dog. Also, the front desk staff was a bit confused - it seemed like our submitted changes and requests made at the front desk weren’t always cemented as we were led to believe.

Nothing it was absolutely unsafe and unclean with zero management It was a hostel with drug addicts around the pool. My first room was infested with cochroaches and my second room had a flood them we moved to a 3rd room and had mold on the walls!

Quick check in & check out, affordable, bar on the spot, towels exchange everyday if you wish (at the desk) Loud AC, room llooked a bit dated

The location is OK, very close to main attraction points. The room was dirty, bathroom was old and it requires maintenance. Feels like it is an old place not like a hotel. It feels like not in the US but in an old European city.

J’ai vérifié la veille de mon départ si je pouvais avoir un late check-out car mon vol était à 19:45; on me dit midi au lieu de 11:00 sans frais et 18$ pour 15:00. J’accepte midi et quand je me présente à midi on me fait presque un reproche… j’ai 56 ans, je suis Docteure, je n’aime pas les réprimandes !! Autre aspect négatif: aucuns séchoirs à cheveux ni prises électriques dans les salles de bains dortoirs. Sinon très bien dans l’ensemble.

I last stayed in December 2021. Some much needed renovations were made at 2727 Indian Creek Drive.The dorm rooms were upgradeed with more secure lockers. The hallway carpets were also replaced. There was no place for food preparation or storage. There was no breakfast available. Music in the lobby was excessively loud. Vending machine was very expensive. Washer and Dryer were outside behind the pool area. It would be better if they were indoors in case of rain.

This was my 3rd stay here, also two at thier sister property Generator. The rooms have a good amount of space so does not feel crowded. I was in a 8 person room. 4 bunks along the short wall and 4 along a longer one. There was also a sofa and oversize chairs. Two bathrooms. The lobby was comfortable with a variety of places to sit. The location is perfect. A short walk( 2 minutes) to Collins Ave. Subway and Starbucks right there on Collins. A small grocery store , bakery and café also right there. The airport /Miami Beach express bus stops just 50 feet from the hostel. The bus is less than $3 from the airport and has luggage racks. The bus stop is also a stop for two of the Miami Beach trolleys. The trolley is free and the different routes cover most of Miami Beach. A minor inconvenience. My room was near the pool and on my first night there was a private party that padded till 2am. The other night nothing.

Checkin and checkout was easy. Location is very good, near beach, stores, restaurants, bus station. The bar and outdoor pool area is very nice. But no kitchen.

The hotel took my money and was left out and had to go and find accommodation. Their description and policy were not explained and they acted like I worked at the hotel. Sleeping out for a night with my dog and as a físicaly challenged. The humiliation was too much and the worst they kept my money.. absolutely disgusting behavior. They don’t care. What a dump.

I absolutely love this place. It’s a little smaller than I thought for like the bedroom. I was in a four bedroom share and the curtains don’t close much so you can kind of see people sleep but nonetheless, I don’t care I was with girls and the room was kept clean and the hotel pool was great great tan. They had a restaurant open at five with the bar that was had good choices and the manager was nice and it’s very accessible to a couple coffee shops and the beach around.

Great place. I like the way it had several people on staff cleaning and the convenient restaurant open late. It was hot in one of my rooms and I complained to the front desk and she quickly switched me to another room with a working air conditioner. Very helpful.

The location is very good. Next to downtown and next to the supermarket in the world (Triton supermarket) They a pool table, piano and a pool zone with a bar, special if you want to meet and talk with new people. The price is very good for places Miami, although cheap implies resigning to certain amenities. They do not have a fridge where to put food. Wi-Fi only allows you to connect one device per email. The bed was not confortable at all. For a person like me that has back problems, waking up the next day is pain guaranteed. I was only one day. I cannot imagine the back pain sleeping 3,4 days in that bed.

Great place for a quick work visit to Miami. Some tenants you are sharing the room with may not have the etiquette necessary to turn off the lights and not make calls in the room at 1 am (even though there is a lobby!).

I did not like that after communicating with the staff, my deposit was never returned. They kept telling me that the money had already been refunded, but even after 17 days I still did not receive anything in my bank account. The room was also very cold because the air conditioner was locked at a certain temperature. All the girls in the room were freezing. I even got sick during my stay because of the air conditioning. I was also very upset when the cleaner decided to throw away my shampoo that I had specially brought from Europe. The shampoo was left in the bathroom, and because the cap was slightly damaged, the cleaner apparently decided to throw it away. She clearly did not understand that staff should never touch guests’ personal belongings — especially when the shampoo costs $50, was specially brought from Europe, and is suitable for a specific hair type. I do not recommend staying here.

Absolutely loved this place! Great location, just a few blocks from the beach, and really nice array of onsite amenities. Loved the pool and the onsite bar. Staff was great and met some really interesting fellow Travel Nomads. Highly recommended!

Smells like the carpets need to be cleaned. They only give you one body towel and no hand towel.

Beautiful location, friendly and helpful staff. The room was very unique and fun. There were some long black hairs on the bathroom floor that weren’t cleaned up from a previous guest. The lighting was a bit dark throughout the bedroom. The water was boiling hot from the tap so the setting is up way too high.

The hotel is very noisy, and the reception was not helpful when there were disruptive neighbors coming back at 3 a.m., turning on lights and making noise. I didn’t sleep the entire night, and they refused to offer even a few extra hours in the morning to rest, saying it wasn’t their problem. The area is beautiful, but overall it’s not comfortable for a relaxing stay. Everything is also quite far from this location.

Every night while i was trying to sleep there would be music blasting right outside my room window that was so loud to the point i had to wear headphones just to fall asleep. 6 nights of wearing AirPods to fall asleep isn’t fun. My room didn’t get cleaned for the first 3 nights of my stay despite me asking the front desk 4 times to have my room cleaned. Overall not very happy with my stay and would like to be compensated for these issues.

I Added a Concern about Accomodations & She made sure my room was One minute from Lobby. Mercy's Endless Smiles added to Ease Tensions from an Otherwise "Hectic Evening" Thank-You Very Much! I get this is a Shared Space. Though I was TRIPPING Over Open Siutcases strewn Across The Floor of A VERY SMALL Space. Food & Personal belongings took OVER Every inch of Space Available. It Was Honestly Beyond Inconvenient. I Remained Light-Hearted & STRICTLY Entered Room for Retiring @ Night & Showering. ?

I have never stayed in a shared room before and at first I was a little hesitant. But after experiencing the friendly and warm staff at the front desk and really cool aesthetic and cleanliness of the interior I felt so comfortable. I stayed in a female quad dorm and my roommates were awesome! They were all solo travelers as well. If I ever travel to Miami solo again, I would choose this place.

Fun, funky space with great outdoor spaces, like the pool area. Comfortable rooms with mini fridge. Decent hotel food and bar options. You can walk to the beach and many restaurants. We were on the first floor next to the public bathrooms. Our window overlooked an outdoor wedding party that raged until 4am. Very loud! Seemed strange that the food and drinks places didn’t open until 5pm when people were out by the pool all day.

I stayed for 1 night in a 4 women shared dorm. The staff was very kind and accommodating. The room was clean but small details could be addressed (screw falling out of toilet paper holder and one plug didn’t work on the bed lamp outlet). The room could use more lighting and outlets. Not luxurious, but generally a decent place. The pool area was nice with lots of seating. Property was in a great/convenient location. Thanks for the stay!

Very cool interior design and beautiful patio/pool area, but that’s all of the good about our stay here. Our first room smelled so strongly of chlorine that it made me feel nauseous and there was black mold on the wall behind the bed, so I asked for a different room and they accommodated us. The floor of the room was so grungy that we felt the need to wear shoes the whole time. There was a planned power outage from 9-10am one day, so we went to the beach and pool in the morning and returned at 11am. The power was still off and I asked the front desk if there was an update; she just pointed to the sign that said 9-10am and said she didn’t know. Luckily the water worked so we showered in the dark. On our way out at 1pm with the power still out, I fell down the dark stairs and literally sprained my ankle. Later that night we told the desk what happened and asked for an ice pack, and they sent us to the bar for a cup of loose ice cubes. At check-out, they asked how our stay was and I said it was awful having no electricity for a whole day (her reply: “it was only til 2pm”) and I told her i sprained my ankle falling in the dark and she just stared at me blank faced. We didn’t receive any compensation for these issues—fine. But we also didn’t receive any compassion or even basic first aid.

We have enjoyed Broken shaker, the Lounge and property garden grounds… however, I do not recommend staying as a hotel guest. Sorry, I truly hope they revamp the rooms - experience in the future so they can stay in business. Providing constructive experience where possible

I am still waiting on my 50 dollar incident fee to be returned as I checked out on the 19th of February..I called and left several messages on VM..as well.. otherwise it was in..I was forced into a 300 dollar upgrade as the desk girl tried putting me on a top bunk at 63ctears old...very bad customer service by that particular employee..IMHO..love the gardens and property and vibe however..

Staff was friendly, attentive and professional. Didn't like the loud music being allowd so late by the pool, but slept ok with ear plugs. Had a bad roommate that used my towel after muddying his, plus locked his stuff in my locker, also leaving mud everywhere in the bathroom, sand all over the floors. I brought this to the manager and they were ready to address the guy immediately, but I asked they do so after I left the next morning, so I could sleep without retaliation from the jerk/roommate. Would stay again because of staff, but hesitant because this was my first time sharing a room. But overall, staff super people, rooms good, A/C good, also.

The room was clean and quiet, nice firm bed, 2 bathrooms in the room and you can’t not hear the outside noise from the room. There is a bar, a pool and a party area in the common areas and they are super fun. Also just to note if you get cold when you’re sleeping I would recommend to bring another blanket

At approximately 2:36 a.m., I was then informed that their system was down. At that point, I still did not have an actual bed despite having a confirmed reservation. Being told in the middle of the night that there was a system failure — after being sent to two occupied rooms — is not a minor inconvenience. It is a serious operational breakdown. After traveling all day, the last thing a guest should experience is uncertainty about whether they will have a safe, available place to sleep. The situation reflected poor room inventory management and a lack of contingency planning for system outages. This experience created unnecessary stress and significantly impacted the start of my stay. For a property that markets itself as hospitality-focused, this level of disorganization at check-in is unacceptable. I strongly encourage management to review their late-night check-in procedures and backup systems to ensure future guests are not placed in this position.

Only one thing, I stayed with my cousins for a minute when I landed and since I didn’t check in online they gave my bed away… CHECK IN ONLINE… The stay was great, my favorite quote from the weekend was by the pool this young man said “this is really nice, in the UK, hostels are for homeless people and weirdos” … all jokes aside the roommates in my quad were awesome and so was everyone else. Second time staying and it’s been amazing both times.

Staff waited until last minute on a Friday to tell me about a 14 day policy which I couldn’t find in their rules anywhere. Waiting on a response from their corporate office.

Nice property. Art Deco-ish. Very friendly and attentive front desk. Arrived on a Thursday night was a check in line but moved fairly quick. Lobby area has plenty of seating and there's a chill vibe. Upbeat coffee House/EDM piping through the speakers. Room was nice, good a/c and clean. Was on the top bunk (shared the room with 3 other guys) and pleasantly surprised the bed was very comfy. Night light provided and electrical/USB outlets provided. Your bed assignment matches your locker# so don't forget to bring your own lock. At check in you're given a sheet and towel, no wash cloth. Bring your own. A blanket is already on your bed. Modern bathroom with a decent shower. If I had any complaint it would be a mildew smell in the bathroom and no shower gel but there is hand soap. Bring your own shower gel and bar soap however there is no place in the shower to place your bar soap or bottles. My second complaint is the hallways are a little dark, could use some better lighting. Didn't get a chance to explore the rest of the property since I arrived late but the bar and pool area seemed pretty poppin. Overall a decent stay and I'll probably stay again in the future.

Hotel in good location and easy to check in. The first room we had was very big but also seemed damp and the floor wasn't clean. In the hotel grounds there are 2 bars both played very loud music until 2am, due to this we didnt get much sleep. The next day we asked to change rooms as couldn't take another night of loud music, we were told the hotel was fully booked but the lady on reception tried her best and managed to move us to a different room. This room was smaller but much better with no damp and quieter so we were glad to be able to move.

Expected me to stay in a room with random people when I got to the room the door was open so with these random people I can’t even trust them to close a door to keep my belongings and myself safe. When I told them this they practically said tough luck and they still haven’t given me my security deposit back 2 weeks later. All in all just not the place to be no disrespect

Prospective guests should be aware that there is a DJ in the patio area (surrounded by the hostel rooms) that plays VERY loud music on Friday and Saturday nights. I had a room where it seems the speaker they used was directly under our window. It sounded as if a loud stereo was playing in the middle of our room. Even when I went to the DJ area, it was too loud music for an outside space. Somebody likes it REALLY loud. I had some anticipation that there might be noise in a Miami Beach hostel but this was outside a normal range even for parties. I asked the front desk and they said they have a license to play until 2 AM. There was still music in the patio area on Sunday and Monday nights of my stay until these hours that I could hear, but the volume was MUCH more reasonable. The owners should know that there are actually a lot of guests who are trying to sleep, at least in my room. Not everyone parties late even in Miami Beach. The patio wasn't highly occupied when I checked on it at 12:30 AM when I asked the front desk about the noise. My only other observation is that the rooms are nicely done, looks like an older renovation, maybe in the 2000s. I did feel that the humidity in the rooms could be controlled better and noticed that our main bathroom didn't have an exhaust. The humidity was such that the floors and sheets felt sticky at times.

Found this spot very last minute as I had to extend my stay in Miami for a couple more days. I’ve only experienced the hostel environment a few times in Europe, this would be the first in the US, so I was a bit disappointed that there weren’t any microwaves or fridges for guest to use. I don’t know if that’s a norm or not but just wanted to note that. Otherwise, my stay was good.

Noises terrible😨 from the road all day. $70 for one day in this bunk bed

First you need to state this is a hostel not a full hotel. I went to check in at 4pm. The desk person checked me in then walked off. I stood at the window for 10+ minutes while I hear him make jokes and small talk with other coworkers. Another person came up and asked if I needed help I said I was trying to check in and he ran back and said he was trying to get a housekeeper for a room that should have been ready over an hour before. To get to the room we had to go up and down several stairs and cobble stones so this was not very ADA compliant. Room was not soundproof like your site says. Our room was right next to the bar so we heard loud music and ppl till midnight on a Sunday night. The bathroom had no separation from the shower to the rest of it so that resulted in huge puddles of water in from of the sink and toilet. The AC was basically window units so did not work well and came on and off throughout the night being extremely loud. Was not worth the price of this place one bit.

Well before I got there nobody called me and said anything about nothing and then I called them at least three or four times and every time I call it went to voicemail and it never called me back and then I paid over 40 something almost $50 to go to that hotel where when I got there that evening time on the 17th when which was when I made the reservation for the 17th to the 25th they canceled my room and didn't even call me and tell me nothing about it didn't say one word to me or anything and I called them three or four times trying to get them to call me back and they never called me back My phone went dead and I got a little charge on and I still called them and they never called me back and then I had to turn around and pay the same amount again just to go back leave that hotel cuz just because I was asking them questions and all that good stuff they acted like I was being hostile towards them and I was quiet and when I first got there I heard two females already screaming and yelling in there and she just laughing like it was funny and not trying to be funny I am a black female there's nowhere in hell they wanted me there no way not trying to be funny but come on now it was full of Mexicans and they were all in there and I was staying in a room in the hostile so that's why they canceled me out and gave me up and excuse and they really didn't even give me an excuse on why they canceled me cuz they couldn't say I did they just said the room got canceled

This is more of a party hostel and hotel. It is great, if and only if you like to mingle and meet people. If you are looking for a quiet stay, this might not be the way. The location is super though.

Only stayed here for a night but the vibe was immaculate! Well maintained and clean, and the common area and pool was very lively with good music and the bar was also very cute!

Additionally, the hotel advertises free Wi-Fi, but the Wi-Fi was not working for the entirety of my stay. This further impacted my experience and did not match what was advertised. Overall, I feel that the situation was not handled fairly, and the stay did not meet the expectations set by the hotel’s listing.

It was my first time ever staying at a hostel. I enjoyed every bit. The convenience. The speakeasy, the bar downtowns, the garden, the people. It made my experience fun. Would totally do it again

Room flooring was in poor shape, tile was loose in the shower. Comfortable beds, and outside of the floor, was clean. Music was insanely loud late into the night.

Beds too small for people over 6 ft. Shower and toilet next to each other so you can enjoy the "view " or the smell. Play loud music (hood and ghetto music) til midnight and DON'T let you sleep. Avoid this trap.

WARNING - you pay on Expedia for the room but when you arrive they charge you an additional $100 “RESORT FEE”. Additionally, there is only PAID parking that you have to pay EVERY three hours. Yes, that means if you’re staying there for 3 days, you have to pay for parking every three hours for the whole duration of your stay. Also, the cleaning lady takes you dirty towels and doesn’t replace them. The AC is also very loud and the rooms are very dim. No smart TVs here, they are ancient. Please don’t go here. What a mistake!

staff tried their best to make life easy. they have problems supply the guests with towels , pillow and sheets . too many guests. my roommates took my sheets and pillows , asked the staff for replacements , they were nice , they replaced what is missing, they do have shortage of towels , sometimes, they turn you down, saying we don't have any. I understand the problems with towels and sheets, some guests take it when they check out , whom to blame when you have several roommates . it is not the hotel fault. and they don.t search the luggage when the guest leave . I would come back , close to the beach, and I could meet with people from all nations, they are nice and friendly.

I got there super late after midnight for my late check-in. I attempted to use the kiosk to check in and they asked me to pay a fee which I paid. There was a long line at the receptionist so I just attempted to quickly ask him to direct me to the room so I can you know go rest up for the night since it was pretty late but he let me know that my check-in was not accurate even though I use their kiosk and that I paid the wrong fee so I had to get that refunded back to my card pay the correct amount and that took even longer so that was 1 AM waiting around for almost 30 minutes just to check in. Upon entering the room, the shared rooms were disgusting. They were super outdated. The curtains in the bathroom had stains. They were scuff marks and trash and the whole two nights I was there at that bathroom was never once clean. I’m not sure if somebody came in and cleaned it, but it wasn’t properly cleaned. There was mold in the bathroom. Everything just looks super outdated and gross. Will not stay here again. As for the pool area, it was nice but also you could tell that it wasn’t regularly cleaned the pool loungers had stains on them. There was literally some sort of animal poop all around the pool deck. It was a cute area, but I couldn’t stay for long to pull itself was dirty. Everything was just on hygienic unkept outdated would not stay here again.

My first time at this hotel. The enviroment was nice, the pool and the common areas are very beautiful. There no parking at this hotel. There is a huge parking next to it and you can pay with a parkmobile app. I did stayed in a normal room because they also have shared rooms (a lot cheaper)

Loved the place for meeting people and it was close to the beach with easy access to transportation. The cleaning of the shared room could be improved.

I stayed at the single room. It was very spacious. There is a pool with two bars inside the hotel. Staff are super friendly and chill. They gave me a lot of good recommendations for places to visit.

However, I don’t like the fact that the hotel was too dark, it was smelling. I know that people get used to the smell of a specific place but for me during my vacation it was too much. I had to buy a profume to try to hide the smell. Also the rooms walls are too thin if someone goes in or out I could hear them. Some people next to our room were having a nice time not making too much noise but because of the light wall I felt they were in my room. The staff was really helpful and gave me a room to a more quiet zone.

The housekeeping was very good with cleaning and also they staff was very kind. Location is good for walking and shopping too .

Staff are running this hostel like a group home or shelter. Needs better management. The freehand brand is suffering. I've stayed at freehand for over 10 years and can't believe how bad it's gotten .. I'll never stay at Freehand again.

The Front desk staff were somewhat friendly upon check in .. however, after a few days they became very cold and abrasive. Tried calling the front desk several times and they never answered the phone. Horrible experience on behalf of the front desk. Not sure I'll ever stay at freehand again

This place has gone downhill over the years. Stayed there 3 years ago and loved the vibes. Went again a week ago and it was incredibly dirty and stinky every where, the elevator barely works.

Staff seems to think they are running a group home or prison halfway house. Very disrespectful and condescending tone when in conversation with several of the staff at front desk. They speak little English and seem to cloak the fact that they do not understand English profient enough to be hotel management or front desk staff. I encourage the hiring managers to find replacements. Horrible experience.

I checked in to see someone in my bed, then was given a different bed to only come back to someone else in my new bed again after dinner. So I complained and switch the room I originally payed for because I was so upset at what they allowed to happen and I was tired from my trip and first day there and ended up in a much worse room with less amenities and a mold smell, my bed side light wasn’t working and had no covers to sleep with they replaced my cover with two thin sheets. I never got the problem resolved no one apologized for the poor treatment I was just so unhappy with my first time being in Miami at that hotel!

My stay at Freehand Miami was good, my room and bathroom was the perfect size for me it was very spacious. The staff were very accommodating as well. The beach was round the corner 2-3 minute walk with a grocery store close by. However, as this is a hostel there will be noise you should expect banging on doors, shouting ect from the hours 8-12pm so if you’re an early bedtime person expect to be woken up.

Not very good the place smells very musty. I was starting to get very congested towards the end of the trip because of how unhealthy the air quality was in my room. Not an actual hotel it’s multiple separate apartments. Someone was sitting on my porch to my apartment drinking one night. The door was very hard to open for my room and was just told to pull harder. The workers were good people but the place was overall not a good experience.

Upgraded my room for the weekend and upon changing rooms i was told i need to pay early check in fee. Agents going out of their way to make my room change more difficult. Chasing me out of my original room, trying to make me check out and wait for the new room even tho it was ready for a seamless change. Rude, not trained well, not appreciative of guests. Luckily attitudes change drastically when the lovely manager is present.

I like freehand Miami. They are very nice people. Friendly and kind, the rooms are clean and it always smells like lavender or something and its nice and pleasant. Only 3 minute wlak from beach and supermarket, cant complain. Pillows are soft and cozy, always someone at the desk and theyre always friendly. I like this place, been here 3 times. Will come back. Only annoying thing is security at night about alcohol. Its miami, take a chill pill. Other then that its great! Better property than some of other hotels i seen around here prettier and cheaper, pool is beautiful. I love freehand :)

This property is close to bus stop which makes it very conveniently located. It’s a quiet area away from bars of oceans drive. Hotel has its own bar and pool to meet and connect with other people staying there. Staff is really helpful and towels are available all the time. There is comfortable sitting area near reception. Will definitely stay here again.

Overall our stay was good. We had a private quad and we were upgraded to a premium which was great because it came with a fridge and TV. Only thing is the cigarette smell and the smell of moisture. Floors were pretty dirty and the area around the bed bunks hadn't been cleaned in months. But we dis have our rooms “cleaned” every day and we always had fresh towels. Room was equipped with soaps and shampoo, etc. i will say i felt pretty safe and i have no complaints about the staff. A good option for a quick stay.

It’s a hostel for sure! But one of the nicest ones I’ve seen- but I will admit I don’t stay at them often. If you’re young and traveling and on a budget this place is trendy and perfect. If you’re wanting a special getaway treat for yourself - maybe splurge a little more. The pool was cute though- the little bar served great cocktails and mocktails- and the two women running the front desk were more than accommodating and friendly ! (One dark hair and one blonde) they were the best part! Extra helpful. The bus is literally right outside so that makes it helpful to travel anywhere for free. It’s cute!

A small table should be available in the rooms. Sand and dirt still left cleaners never clean it up. The music that plays way too early in the morning - it shouldn’t be on before 12pm The bikers on site needs to be replaced it’s rusting - some seats are breaking off. They should put people in the same room Accordingly to what they prefer - examples quiet guest non partying Or no percent

I stayed one night, it was great, beds were clean, shower a little dirty but like you couldn’t tell it was clean, remind me of Puerto Rico it was very aesthetic, great vibe, close to restraunts and beach

Cheap place to rest your head for a bit. The place seemed safe. Everyone has a locker so bring your own lock. AC doesn’t work very well and the top bunk gets very hot. Bring a fan to cool yourself and drown out the noise.

I asked for both a bed sheet and a towel and both were rudely slapped on the front desk by the clerk ( the first time I asked for a bath towel and she slapped the towel down and walked away from the counter and secondly, when I asked for a bedsheet, she slapped down the sheet and went back to the computer… didnt bother to ask if i needed anything else or anything) as opposed to items politely being placed in my hand. I asked the clerk if she was ok and she said yes while staring at computer screen. Personal issues have nothing to do with guests. But overall, ive stayed at better hostels. Sayonara.

- the bedding is not 100% clean. I often find stray hairs tangled in the knit bed cover -housekeeping does not clean the showers. Debris, hair strands, old razors, half used/empty shampoo & bidy wash bottles, dirty towels and used sticky bar soap all sat in the bathroom for weeks. I asked the housekeeper if they clean showers and she spoke no english -theres no rules or regulations governing what happens in shared rooms. Ive stayed in rooms where people seemingly do what they want-turn off the AC units or turn the temp up to 75 degrees, or hang their wet clothes from the AC unit obstructing air flow. Miami is a hot & humid city so lack of air flow is very uncomfortable for me. Many of the people that stay here do not speak english so trying to explain any of this is a waste of time or can lead to argument. -there are no fresh towels in the room obviously. You must go get a fresh towel from front desk. -no room service, kitchen or microwave to use I only stay here because its cheap. Front desk staff try their best but this property needs major improvements..

It was my first time there, nice place to stay, close to public transportantion, easy to arrive by bus from the Airport and ease to move around the area. I stayed in shared room, the only thing I can tell, beds should have a better courting or something to "cover" around while you are sleeping
