Reviews
The hotel is praised for its beautiful pool area, amenities, and dining experience, but is criticized for its poor customer service and high prices. Several guests have complained about the lack of refrigerators and microwaves in the rooms, as well as unexpected extra fees.

I stayd in this beautiful hotel for four days. The property is excellent with clean rooms and great staff. I had an amazing view from my balcony half ocean and half city view. Pool was great with the coolest bar and delicious coctails. I will definitely go there again

Horrible. Every single item or experience is an extra fee or heavily monitored, effectively killing any relaxing vibe you might want for the high, "luxury" price you pay. This is a tourist trap extraordinaire. It made me feel like I was paying to be in a place trying to extract from me, not serve me. And yes, I did complain twice to the front staff about these issues - to stony faces and lame excuses that were canned and code for "we don't care." The resort fee is $60/day (which is not made clear on Orbitz, where I booked it), yet when I went in February the pool and all outdoor facilities - which is what the resort fee pays for - closed at 6pm. We were told it closes at "sundown," even though they clearly have outdoor lights for the whole outside facility. Want to swim in the evening or night? Nope. And if you dare to be in the pool at 6:01, there were six staff for every one guest to tell you to get out. You have to wear an armband everywhere you go. There is no coffee in the connected by long walks) to their coffee in the room. You can pay $10 for a cup of coffee at their coffee shop. But don’t try to drink it by the pool. Those seats and lounges require you to pay a fee, even in February when there was NO ONE there. If you don't want to pay, you can find a free lounge on the outer fringes. And if you try to sit without paying, there are staff to tell you to move immediately.

The elevator was 4 years old as in the last check up on it was 2022 and one is due every year, and the room service barely ever cleaned the room

Amazing place to stay! Totally recommend it, we stayed for 5 days and honestly this is one of those time that we regret not to stay for one or two days more! ........

Anything you purchase at the hotel is extremely expensive and has an added 20% charge. The pools and gym are very nice. Food quality is very good but is expensive.

The Fontainebleau Miami has it all! The hotel is beautiful, well maintained and features amazing swimming pools, spa, shopping and restaurants. The food and drinks are great! The rooms are good and feature stunning views in the ocean view rooms. We come here every year for a reason: it’s simply the best!
- 4/5
The property facilities itself were very good my issue was with some of the people I encountered in particular the lobby bar bartenders were consistently rude I was there for a conference and that's the same sentiment many of my colleagues experienced.

Beautiful hotel. Spa amenities were decent. Massage was great! The downfall is the Valet. Be sure you request your car 30 minutes before you need to leave.

My favorite place to stay in Miami!
- 3/5
My room didn’t have a garbage bin, which may sound front thing of where you put the garbage instead. I called ask the maid they never brought one so I kept putting it on the bathroom floor. My iron was also broken. Someone was making constantly because it was coming through my vents. It’s too bad because the rest of the hotel is so upscale. It’s almost funny that you walk into this beautiful place and you have a room like a dirty motel. At checkout I told them about my experience and they just brushed it off. And didn’t even consider offering me any type of compensation a lunch anything. Nope. Just more fees as I checked out. I had 4 rooms booked. We will NEVER stay here again. If you do stay here do not stay in the upgraded Tresor side.

The only downside was that Club LIV is located in the hotel. I stayed during a Sexyy Red concert, and when the event ended around 4:00 AM, the lobby was packed with drunk partygoers. It felt uncomfortable walking through the crowd to get to my Uber. I also didn't see any security, and there was only one front desk employee who seemed overwhelmed by guests asking about rides and food deliveries. Other than that, the hotel was amazing and I really enjoyed my stay.

We’ve stayed there for my birthday the past 2 years and we have at least 5 other couples booking rooms with us. It’s very frustrating. I don’t think I’ll stay here again or recommend it to my friends.

Unfortunately, my birthday experience was ruined by poor room service customer service. When I called to order food, I was repeatedly transferred back and forth between two employees. As someone who uses an accessibility device for Deaf and Hard of Hearing communication, this was especially frustrating. I eventually asked for a manager, who handled my order professionally and made sure my food was delivered. I appreciate the manager's help, but the experience left a negative impression. I was also disappointed by the nightclub experience. As a hotel guest celebrating my birthday, I asked if there was any special access or VIP accommodation and was told no. After seeing the long line, I ended up returning to my room and missing my dinner reservation. The day pool party was the highlight of my stay. The staff were friendly, the food was good, and I enjoyed the atmosphere. However, the seating rentals were extremely expensive. Another downside was the location. Transportation costs were very high, with Uber rides often costing $60-$80 each way. Because of this, I was unable to enjoy all the activities I had planned. While the room and pool area were excellent, the poor room service experience, expensive transportation, and disappointing birthday experience mean I would not stay here again. Room: 4/5 Pool: 4/5 Room Service: 0/5 Club Experience: 0/5 Overall:
- 5/5
Beautiful spot to stay at with lots of pools and activities to stay entertained with. Staff was incredibly helpful and would recommend.
- 5/5
The hotel was really nice, however we had people in their early twenties in the room next to us. They played their music really loudly all ours of the night. Stopped at 11 and then they came back at 3am and started playing their music loudly again until about 6am. They hopped on to our deck to take the chairs. We called guest services and they did nothing about it. We were only there for one night before our cruise. If we stayed any longer, we would have asked for a different room.

Great staff, clean rooms and great location!
- 5/5
My only issue was with the wristbands system during weekends. Instead of keeping these wristbands handy by the pool entrances to make it convenient for hotel guests they make you go all the way to front desk to get these wristbands which is so inconvenient. Secondly you have to preserve these wristbands (which no one told us) and if you lose it and want to access the pool is 50$ per person but the front desk staff was very accommodating and waived us the fee but I would appreciate if this information is told beforehand to guests that they need to preserve their wristbands Overall we had an excellent stay here and they private beach access is so convenient and the beach staff is great too. We will come back here next time we’re in Miami
- 5/5
Clean, everyone was nice and helpful. Exceeded expectations. Food , pool , security, room attendant.
- 5/5
The whole hotel vibe was great! Wished they had more variety of restaurants.
- 4/5
Staff was helpful with late checkout
- 2.5/5
Room was fine...Pool area very nice Prices, Prices, Prices....$38+ for 3 bottles of water at the pool is excessive. Was never disclosed that valet parking was $75 plus tax a night, so $160 for 2 nights. Bigger issue Charged for meal at The Beach that i never had and charged for mini bar items that i did not use. Upon checkout, the bill was changed but my credit card got charged the higher amount....5 days after my stay, these issues have still not been resolved, and it will cause me to not return to this property. Too Bad
- 3.5/5
Pools and atmosphere I did not like the hidden charges Also, parking costs are too high and exaggerated. They ask me to rent a refrigerator per night?? And never see this in any hotel in my life!!!
- 5/5
Love it very nice stay
- 5/5
We’ve stayed multiple times here it’s always great .
- 4/5
Suite in Sorrento Tower, great ocean view but a bit dated. Room did not get serviced so partial refund given.
- 3/5
My room was not as clean as I would have wanted it. There were crumbs under the sides of the bed, and there was hair in the shower drain and bathroom. I ordered coffee in the morning which took an hour. When I told the delivery person that I wanted milk, he told me that Americanos do not get milk. If I requested milk I’d like to receive it and not get rebuked by the delivery person. When I went on the balcony my room overlooked the air conditioning units/mechanical equipment. Unpleasant. I only stayed here because it was less expensive than other hotels but I definitely would not stay here again even though I really like their property in Las Vegas. This is not of the same caliber.
- 5/5
Overall experience was great! However, they need to fire the current house keeping. They’re lazy and you walk into a dirty room with stains and hair everywhere . Thank God they upgraded me to a one bedroom suite which made me give them a 5 star. There were dozens of people complaining of dirty rooms. Fire management if they cannot hire quality housekeepers.

Very beautiful hotel, love it there. Highly recommend if you're looking for luxury. Love that it had everything in one place.
- 4/5
Be wary of "Ocean View" Rooms, my room barely had a view of the ocean. Also, everything is super expensive. Room service was overpriced and the quality was just okay. The minibar is automatic which is pretty cool but a bottle of water is $12! Overall, an iconic property. It can get loud at night with LIV Nightclub being in the hotel's lobby but definitely recommend staying at Fontainebleau Miami at least once.
- 5/5
The pools are beautiful and I loved our location. We had the ocean right in front of us with lounge chairs and shade accommodations. The staff was excellent!! We loved the variety of restaurants to dine in. They had bikes on site for us to use. The gym was a bit tight, but lots of cardio machines overlooking the ocean and pools. This resort had everything we were looking for. We did upgrade to the Sorrento tower and it was beautiful and so clean. The staff was always available to help us. The one issue we did have is that the jacuzzi tub never got warm in our room, The water was always cold, so we couldn't use it. I was glad that the suite included a refrigerator, even though the ice maker in it didn't work. But the staff was very efficient in getting us ice when we needed it. I would definitely go again. My husband wants to make it an annual trip.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel with great amenities and services. We got the oceanfront view which amazing to wake up. The restaurant is slightly expansive but worth the money. We really enjoyed the coffee and desert at Chez Bon Bon.
- 5/5
we all liked how helpful the staff was and how clean the facility was.
- 4/5
It was a great experience. We had a few hiccups, but the staff was on top of it and had ot resolved in a timely manner.
- 5/5
Our room was very nice, comfortable, and had a great view. The location is excellent if you want to enjoy Miami Beach without being right in the middle of the craziness of South Beach, but still close enough to get there by Uber. The pool area is one of the best parts of the hotel. Lots of energy, great music, and a fun Miami vibe. The beach access is also very convenient. Having restaurants, bars, and LIV nightclub right inside the hotel makes it easy to have a full night out without leaving the property. Food and drinks are definitely expensive, but that is expected at a luxury Miami Beach resort. Overall, it was a great experience and I would recommend Fontainebleau if you want a fun, upscale Miami stay with everything in one place.
- 1/5
Staff came harassing us at 10:30AM regarding check out.
- 3/5
The hotel itself is very elegant. However, there were many things you weren't notified of before the visit including a security deposit which ranged between $500 and $1000 depending on the length of stay and upon check in the front desk clerk failed to tell of us of including our credit card for the deposit and we were locked out of our room on the third day and actually checked out of the hotel, the pool area and poolside bars close at sundown and nobody is allowed to congregate near the pools after that time, the availability of poolside or beach side chairs is very limited and not ample enough for the amount of guests, you are not allowed to carry beach towels back into the hotel, the car valet service is average at best and we waited over 30 minutes on several occasions for our vehicle which altered our schedules, the room key was not validated for late departure and we had to return to the front desk to do so after being locked out of the room, and last but certainly not least the fees for everything from a bottle of water and food to the price for valet parking ($80 per night) is inconceivable for a family to visit Miami Beach. There are plenty of other nice hotels in the area that offer better services and I doubt we will ever return to Fontainebleau based on our experience. Otherwise, the beach and weather were excellent.

I've been vacationing at the Fontainebleau for the past 20 years. Twice already this year and coming back in September (2026).Its the best hotel in Miami. Fontainebleau is getting ridiculous with certain prices and taxing but I love it there🤗🙏

Amazing place !
- 4/5
Great stay overall but pushing multiple luggage on all the rugs throughout the facility was a workout I was not prepared for. There should be an area to move your luggage more easier, especially on the inclines.
- 5/5
This was one of the nicest staff I’ve had on a vacation. From midnight check in to everyone who we interacted with it was 5star! The pool gets a little crowded on the weekend, but they had a lot of pool attendants and you felt very taken care of! We will be back for sure.

- 4/5
It was really nice staying at the fountain bleau. I would do it again! I personally like that everything is pretty much right there, the pool, the beach, and Liv nightclub was lit! It was so nice to go out and party where you stay
- 5/5
Perfect service, thank you!
- 2/5
No ice anywhere in the hotel. Especially not on the floors. You have to tip bartenders to get ice. Didn’t give us towels on the 2nd day. Delivery service is a nightmare with all the entrances. Door to the balcony was broken and you couldn’t access it. Despite being non-smoking there was an ashtray on the porch. Refrigerator wouldn’t get cold. Washer and dryer provided with no detergent. Elevator couldn’t have been slower and half were broken the whole trip. Elevator clearly skips the lower floors so we regularly took the stairs. Milky colored pools assuming you find them through the IKEA style labyrinth of halls with no signage. Hotel bar closes when the club opens so you can’t get drinks late at night without getting dressed up and pay crazy cover for the club. If overpriced fake fancy Vegas style casino resort is your thing! This is the place for you.

Site was absolutely beautiful. Clean very attentive staff. We book this hotel not really seeing a lot of stuff on YouTube to go off of. Didn’t really know what to expect but boy did exceed our expectations 10 out of 10 staff. Everything‘s good restaurants good the whole place was just a vibe would definitely go back. They also offer a complementary service that holds your bags for you if you have a late flight free of charge and you can still use all the pool and stuff there. We highly recommend! I
- 3/5
This property is not worth the price. The deluxe room was very basic. The balcony was nice, with the exception of large cargo ships in the ocean view all week. We tried several restaurants, including Prime 54 and Arkadia Grill, and both were subpar in both service and food. We paid $200 for three kids meals and a burger at the grill, and all the kids meals were gross! Had a birthday dinner at Prime; the waiter never asked if we wanted another beer. The pool was great and so was the beach! A margarita by the pool was $25 per drink, plus a 20% service charge. The hotel was more geared toward the 20 something, influencer types.

The best hotel to stay at in the Miami Beach area by far. Great hospitality and customer service. My husband and I came for a little getaway when we got to the counter, they had gave us a VIP status and upgraded our room to a suite with one bedroom, for being a valuable Expedia member. which was well appreciated. Thank u Fontainebleau.

The price you pay up front is only a small portion of what you pay when you get there. They charge $200 per night as a upfront deposit, but they keep $67 of the $200 for a room reset fee each night of your stay. Everything in the suite the say is complimentary costs. Its all on a pressure sensor so if it moves, you are charged. The suite had no microwave or refrigerator. When I asked for a microwave they said it is $30 per day if they send one to my room. KEEP ALL OF YOUR RECEIPTS BECAUSE WE PAID CASH FOR AN UPGRATE TO WHAT WE ALREADY PAID FOR INITIALLY. IT CAME TO BE $440 EXTRA DOLLARS PER NIGHT. THEN THEY CLAIMED WE NEVER PAID. Luckily, we took a picture of our receipt because they claim they didnt have a record of it. The ocean by the hotel was dirty and smelled like pee. Parking at the hotel is $80 per night. All the restaurants food was super expensive and disgusting. Its better to stay in the city of Miami because this hotel is a ripoff. The rooms look nothing like in the pictures. They show you pictures of the expensive suites as a regular room but when you get there you find out its not what you saw online. To them, there is a big difference between booking an oceanfront and ocean view. An oceanview is a corner view of the ocean if you lean off the balcony to see it. Otherwise, you are staring directly at another building. Their suites do not have doors to a separate room, its an open space with the beds in the same room. I called ahead of time to verify what we book.
- 3/5
I did not like when I asked for late check out They ask me for more money
- 4/5
All areas throughout the hotel are pretty clean and smell really good also. One exception we experienced is there was used dental floss on our bathroom counter upon arrival and you can tell it wasn't wiped down. I called the front desk and they immediately sent someone to clean it but the lady who came was NOT friendly and didn't seem to want to do her job. I ended up cleaning it myself. Outside of that I love this hotel and it's great for families. It's not super close to SoBe so you don't have to worry a ton about what your kids might see but there are some guests who wear very risky bathing attire or lack thereof. All restaurants close by 10pm so that's a bit inconvenient but you can order room service until midnight I think. There's public transpo (trolly) very close where you can get a lift to Lincoln Dr, Art Deco, and Ocean drive just make sure you get on the right one. All in all we enjoyed this hotel.

We took the red eye for a conference the next morning. It was amazing. They let us in the room early so we could get ready. So great. Made the day

I’ll definitely be back at this hotel We had a great time.

Excellent experience from start to finish! Anny at the front desk made check-in easy and pleasant with her friendly attitude and helpful service. The rooms were very clean, the pool was spotless, and the entire property was well cared for. The staff were always kind and welcoming. I would definitely recommend staying here if you’re in the area.
- 5/5
We had a fantastic stay here. The service was absolutely first-class from start to finish, and the staff was super attentive and very helpful throughout our trip. The pool area is amazing and definitely a highlight. We did have a couple of minor maintenance issues when we first arrived (the electricity was out in our room and the ice machine was down), but the team addressed and fixed them incredibly quickly. Highly recommend it for the top-notch hospitality!

I enjoyed the hotel's ambiance and its restaurant selection. The location, right off the beach, is a definite plus. The fish sandwich, "Snapper," on the beach is amazingly delicious—I ordered it twice! The food on the beach has improved significantly. However, I do think $500 for a bed is a bit excessive for a registered guest to have to pay. My Bed was uncomfortable, kept sinking into the middle of the mattress. Chatau room 653. needs attention

We were never given pool wristbands at check-in, so when we went to the pool we were stopped and questioned by about six different staff members. Embarrassing. We showed our room key to prove we were actually paying guests and it barely made a difference, all while other people were freely walking in and out through an unsecured back gate the entire time. Our unit was genuinely disgusting. No slippers, no robes, and housekeeping never came once during our entire stay. On top of that they nickel and dime you for absolutely everything. The last night put this over the edge. At 1 AM a housekeeper was banging on our neighbor's door and yelling for ten straight minutes. My husband stepped out and calmly asked them to keep it down because we had an early flight. That's it. An hour later security showed up at OUR door at 2 AM claiming we had some kind of issue with staff. Three guys in cheap security outfits, two of them just standing in the hallway staring us down. Then another hour after THAT, five or six cops were at our door shining flashlights in our faces. We overheard them mention something about a gun in our neighbor's room and to this day I'm not sure if any of it was even related to us. We never caused a single problem. We were so uncomfortable and unsafe that we packed up and left asap!

When i arrived i noticed the large mirror on the bathroom wall was crooked. No bid deal, i didnt bother it. Going into my trip, i hear a boom whil in another room, of my room. I look around and notice the mirror has fallen off the hook on one end and is barely hanging on the wall. Its in the a.m so the cleaning lady is notified and she has her boss come up, she tells me that it will be fixed, i want it fixed. Needless to say it was never fixed. I left the room and came back that evening and it was never dealt with. So upset. We placed a chair in front of it and i called downstairs again. Front desk told me they will send someone up, they never came. I was not and am not happy. If the mirror would have dropped and shattered with any of us in there, it could have cut us. I would have gotten a new room for the rest of my stay. This is not my 1st stay at this hotel and for the price that was paid, this should have been resolved. So not happy @fountainbleu. I can choose to stay anywhere but i enjoy my stay here. Maybe next time ill choose somewhere else.

Loved everything about this property. Can’t fault it during our stay Nothing at all
- 5/5
Very nice getaway at the Fountainbleau in Miami! We enjoyed the property very much and always love visiting the resort! The only thing I found annoying is that some of the servers asked for additional gratuity in addition to the 20 percent that they automatically add to your bill. I believe that the gratuity expectation is getting out of hand and management needs to reevaluate how they compensate their employees. Gratuity is a personal choice and customers should not be pressured to give more than what they believe is fair!

Hair on shower wall and pillow, sticky stains on the phone and table…
- 1/5
The hotel charges guests for absolutely everything possible. At check-in, a $1,069 hold was placed on my credit card for only 4 days. The room did not even include a regular refrigerator — only a minibar that charges guests simply for opening it. Honestly, I was almost surprised they did not charge guests for air. The room condition was unacceptable for such an expensive hotel: damaged walls and cracked bathroom floors. During Memorial Day weekend, the pool area was overcrowded, and after leaving our towels on the pool chairs for 2 hours, hotel staff removed our belongings and informed us that these spots can only remain unattended for 45 minutes. Guests are not allowed to bring their own food to the pool area and are forced to purchase overpriced food and drinks from the hotel. If you do not reserve pool chairs, those large round lounge beds cost ridiculously high prices — up to $640 per day. Even umbrellas at the beach cost extra. In addition, many purchases inside the hotel automatically include service charges, even for simple items like coffee or ice cream. The hotel also charges a $59 daily resort fee plus multiple additional taxes on top of that fee. For the amount of money guests pay, the overall experience and room quality were extremely disappointing. This was my first and definitely my last stay at Fontainebleau.

However, the most important part of my review is that I don’t think the towels used at the beach were completely cleaned as I ended getting a skin irritation after getting back to the hotel room. I consider myself very clean so this was very uncomfortable. I had to buy antiobiotic spray at the nearest pharmacy because he hotel did not provide any medication in a first aid kit. Apparently, only security had anything for skin irritation. Otherwise , the amenities and lab y were amazing.

Fontainebleau is a classic hotel that does not show its age. It is competitive in every respect with the newest, highest-end structures on the beach. I have stayed in most of the luxury hotel towers between South Beach and Mid Beach, and I return to the Fontainebleau as much as all the others combined. Upgrade to a nicer room for a lower price than the cheapest room in some of the other places and enjoy exactly what a Miami Beach vacation should look like. Clean, spacious, comfortable, good service, great views.

Hotel is beautiful. Only downside is that the hotel restaurants close early and there isn't anything in the area.
- 4/5
The property itself was amazing. I would have haven it 5 stars, but the valet staff wasn’t as good. Pulled up to the hotel and was informed to park on the side as they helped other cars before us. Took them about 5mins to help us. Other than that it was a great experience got a free upgrade because of my Expedia status.

Enjoyed the stay, I would have chosen Sorrento as I traveled with family and children. I stayed at the Tresor and not quite the best crowd to be around with unless you are single/solo and don’t mind the party youngsters. Overall pool and amenities were great.

All the staff from the bartenders to the people working in the stores and restaurants and by the pool were friendly and had a good vibe from the check in to the man who stored our bags. This is the best hotel in Miami and it is a refreshing experience every time I come here. ❤️

Nice stay! Beautiful hotel in a cool location, amazing balcony views. Could use a refresh but solid stay

Enjoyed our stay. Disappointed in the lack of microwave / coffee pot/ and mini fridge. There was a mini fridge stocked in the room but it wasn’t running, leaving everything inside useless.
- 1/5
The worst customer service I have ever experienced
- 3/5
The hotel staff often added extra money to our bar bill. The front desk charged unauthorized things to our credit card. I am having a difficult time getting those charges removed from our card. I will never stay there again. The food was incredibly expensive.

Best place to have a vacation
- 4/5
The property is absolutely beautiful, both inside and out; however, I was shocked of the lack of amenities in the room: no fridge, microwave, or clock. I wasn't too bummed about the microwave, but for there to be no fridge or clock is kinda insane! Not a deal breaker when considering a repeat stay yet, a factor to consider.
- 5/5
I had fun what else matters
- 3/5
The property is very elegant and upscale however so are the prices. Unfortunately food was overpriced. $25 for a burger with a tomato and cheese ( no bacon, lettuce or pickles) was very disappointing. Luckily you can have food delivered. The only other issue is when you give them a credit card to hold for damages and extra charges; after check out they charged me $59 plus service charged for 3 nights. We didn't eat or drink anything from the mini bar. We didn't damage the room. I don't like when companies make unnecessary charges that I have to spend time disputing. I paid an additional $200 for nothing. I ended up filing a claim with my credit card company because when I called the hotel, they gave me the impression that they couldn't speak or understand English but they spoke very well when I checked in. Just be sure you check your charges and dispute them at the time of check out because it's a hassle if you have to call them to make a dispute.

Staff overall are not helpful and rude- no welcoming and warm feeling at all. The pool attendees and cafe bon bon think they are too good to serve. For examples I asked of the almond milk has added sugar, he stated at me blankly and said I do not know instead of at least ask the barista. The pool attendees will totally ignore you unless you look like you willing to spend a lot of money. I love the location and the property amenities , but the staff is so unwelcoming.

This iconic Hotel, checks all the boxes for a beautiful family vacation. WE loved it. Howere after I booked for $$$$$. I saw it all over the internet for much less. Very dissapointing.
- 3/5
Staff are disrespectful and have bad customer service. For the price you pay for the hotel their attitudes are not worth it. Even though the property is absolutely beautiful and the food was great drinks were good. The staff was just horrible and it made the experience there not up to par. I wouldn’t stay again, much more beautiful hotels with better customer service. You pay for quality and your hard earned money shouldn’t be spent on a resort that has unkind, rude, and disrespectful staff.
- 5/5
Good excelente comfort food and entertainment!👌
- 3/5
The hotel itself was worthy of a 5 star rating. However, parking is $100, traffic at the entrance and "departure" was a nightmare. It took 40 minutes for the valets to bring us our car. Plan accordingly if you have reservations outside the hotel. The pools close at 7 pm instead of 10 pm like most other hotels. Also the beach was lined with seaweed you have to walk through to get to the ocean water.

“An absolutely exceptional experience from beginning to end. This hotel truly delivers a luxury Miami experience with elegance, sophistication, and impeccable attention to detail. The atmosphere is stunning, the service is top-tier, and every moment felt elevated. The rooms were beautifully designed, the amenities were outstanding, and the overall ambiance created the perfect balance of glamour and relaxation. Every detail felt curated to perfection. The resort appears as though it would be fabulous. The price is high end, the photos look high end. The location on the beach with the pools seems it would be a wonderful vacation. With all of the bellmen, ballet parking, fancy lounges, the concierge and front desk, everyone wanting to help you, again, it appears like a luxury resort. It is not. It is very insulting. My husband and I went for a business trip. We are in our mid-late fifties, are fairly well off. We expected a nice luxury resort. However this place will over charge you every single chance they get. The water fountains don't work, they will sell you a bottle of water for $10. If you bring your own water, they will charge you to use the fridge in the room. Beware to NOT TOUCH the mini fridge or you will be charged automatically, whether you used anything or not. we were charged $150/night for parking. you can not eat for under $200. The music by the pools was SO LOUD, like dance music. I could hear the music even in my room as I paid to stay in an upscale room with beach views. I expressed my concerns to the manager, saying we were checking out the next morning. He promised me a refund. He lied, did not honor his promise, nor did Expedia enforce it, even though by 5pm, an hour after check in, I said we wanted to leave after one night. They do not cater to the guests.

Checking in for my ladies birthday bellman bring our bags to room 714 Tesoro After 20 minutes waiting he suggested this problem occurs often so we should take the service elevator. This was worse as those two elevators were not moving and he acknowledged this happens often… In total we waited 40 minutes to get our room… Upon checkout just before noon today 5/8 which we paid $100 for an extra hour (no courtesy late check-out) we ordered a bellman again to help He suggested we text valet for our car as on the ticket 15 mins before We proceeded downstairs to check bill and sign out thinking we had 15 minutes before car. The girl in the Tesoro checkout was overwhelmed as she acknowledged she is the only person There were 6 of us online from 12pm until I gave up at 1252pm (3 others went unserved they gave up and walked away). I could not get helped and now further concerned that my car still had not shown up Then went to valet to check on car which now one hour late and the valet guy says this happens all the time as the texting service bad. He put a rush on my car which took another 10 minutes You charged $75 over an hour for my car… I would like a copy of my expenses at the hotel, and explanation for 15 minutes before trying to call again… 4 separate times all disconnected before reaching a live person Instead of enjoying day I am wasting time writing I would like a credit for your multiple poor services

Old grand dame has sadly gone downhill. No chairs by the pool, uncaring and often rude staff and servers at the vastly overpriced poolside restaurant La Cote. No coffee maker in the room, massive lineup at the little overpriced coffee bar near the lobby where guests flock because that’s your only option. Obnoxious guests with children packing hot tubs and playing football in the pools. It’s really gone in the wrong direction and hilariously ironic are the photos of Sinatra snd Rat Pack members who probably enjoyed the hotel in its heyday. They are rolling in their graves at the lack of service and low class shrine the Fountainbleu has sadly become.

My car keys were missing by the valet parking service. I return home but ,the keys never appear. Value $700. I know sometimes things happen but the valet parking services is awful, managers do not even pay attention to you when you try to explain. They even try to make you sign a document in which you are accepting that you are liable for damages and everything that happens. Not a good experience. They do know how handle customers instead of make you feel safe, they make you angry and they want to play dumb with you !. The staff outside the hotel is super rude and arrogant.

Very good vibe in the pool area. Very expensive parking at $100 per day and they start charging at 5:00 PM which translates to $200 for a 1 night stay. Extremely expensive parking.

Nice hotel
- 2/5
Luxury pricing for a very mediocre experience. I wasn’t greeted once during my entire stay. The walls are extremely thin, I could hear the person next door coughing as well as everyone walking through the hallway. The TV is outdated and the color was visibly distorted. Amenities were minimal to nonexistent; they didn’t even provide basic items like Q-tips. The fridge is reserved strictly for minibar items, so guests can’t use it for their own food or drinks. Overall, it felt like a complete waste of money.
- 3/5
Way overpriceddz. Elevators to Tresor Towee werent working as they shoukd; shortage of wastebaskets; not enough shade by the pools; one decent restaurant closes too early.
- 5/5
This hotel was very accommodating after our original hotel (at the Cadillac) told us they couldn’t provide our room at check in. So yes, this hotel saved our trip. The hotel grounds were beautiful and clean. The food/restaurants were delicious. There were many pools to choose from to soak up the sun. The beach area was beautiful and the beach wait staff was great (kept the food and drinks flowing). Only negative for our stay… the beach wasn’t really swimmable due to the excessive accumulation of seaweed washing up from the ocean. This wasn’t the hotel’s fault. It was just the time of season. We learned that this happens seasonally but usually disappears by June… Overall, we would definitely return in the future.

Valet took over 1 hour to get car. 100 people waiting and cursing. It’s was a disaster. And it happens all the time, they don’t improve. The service is truly below average to terrible.

Great location and nice rooms.
- 2/5
I stayed one night for a Mother’s Day celebration. First, I paid extra for an ocean view room, but the view was completely blocked by palm trees, so I was never able to see the ocean, which was very disappointing. Second, the air conditioning was broken and leaking water. I called for assistance, and someone only came around 12 AM to fix it. The leaking issue was never fully resolved, and no one followed up or called to check if we needed further assistance. My recommendation is to make sure to ask detailed questions before paying extra for an upgraded room.
- 3/5
As a frequent traveler to Miami I will not be returning to this property.
- 5/5
Best hotel in the world. I recommend all my friends to come and stay here
- 4/5
The floors in the Junior Suite were dirty as well as the carpets stained. Not something I’d expect for an ocean view suite (and it’s price).
- 3/5
The property itself is beautiful and iconic, but the overall guest experience felt very transactional. Everywhere you turned there was another service charge, added fee, or overpriced convenience. It constantly felt like we were being nickel and dimed instead of enjoying a luxury stay. The valet situation was especially frustrating since valet is basically required. It was slow, disorganized, and stressful multiple times throughout our stay. For a hotel operating at this level, the process should run much smoother. Another disappointment was the room setup. The mini fridge is sensor-controlled for the minibar, so you really can’t use it for your own drinks or leftovers without risking charges. Such a small thing, but incredibly inconvenient when staying more than one night. What really stood out most was how quickly the customer service disappeared once we checked out. The exit process literally sends you out the back, and the hospitality vibe was basically over at that point. Overall, the hotel looks impressive in photos, but the experience did not match the cost. We expected luxury hospitality and instead felt like every interaction came with another fee attached.
- 5/5
Great room was very clean, Beach amenities were very good as was the service on the beach. Got VIP that upon arrival. Not a fan of valet parking to start with (too restrictive and feel like you have to tip both in and out) but was surprised first with $78 dollar a night and then even more surprised by a $107 CHARGE FOR A SUPPOSED OVERSIZED VEHICLE I received the first day. Not only was that tacked on I was told I had to pay it before I left the property on day one, I would think that would be settled upon check out
- 5/5
Love the property. Been staying there for decades. I asked for an extra hour late check out which was denied. I was ok with that and departed on time but was then charged over $600 for a late check out. I had to make several calls and spent a lot of time getting it reversed and my credit card credited.

Location is good You pay a fortune for the hotel, yet you still have to pay for the umbrellas and sun loungers by the pool. There are constant noisy events. Even a simple cocktail costs $35. There was loud music playing constantly in the adjoining room next to ours; we reported the issue, but nothing was done. Don't even think about parking your car—it costs $100 a day. Instead, we used a parking lot two blocks away for $20 a day.

Property was very clean and well maintained The staff are horrible and obnoxious. We had a terrible experience with a young lady called Madison. I needed to take my daughter to the bathroom while at the beach and she wouldn’t let us through despite showing our wristbands. She then decided to search my bag before letting us back into the hotel but let other guests through without being searched. You can have all the luxury facilities in the world and deliver an average to negative experience. Profiling paying guests at Fontainebleau is ridiculous.

Rooms were spacious and clean. Towels bright white and fresh. Pools were the right temperature. Service at the pool was wonderful with lounge chair covers and help with umbrellas. Food options could have been better mid week. No place to eat dinner on a Tuesday except the grill which we had the night before.

Pool, and staff there very helpful. Nice pool and great ocean front beach. Defintely overpriced. Huge. Service at restuarants and pool was poor. Waiting for check for 30-45 minutes at each location, every time. Awful. Pricing extremely high. Very loud. Could have gone to mexico for 2x as long and better accomodations
- 0.5/5
The location and the beach view were nice.” This was by far the worst stay I have ever had with my family. The staff were completely uncooperative and not helpful at all. Everything comes with an extra charge, and it felt like they were constantly trying to take as much money as possible from guests. For such an expensive stay, I expected a much higher level of service and hospitality. Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing experience, and I would never repeat it or recommend it to anyone.
- 3.5/5
The lobby and the rooms Too crowed / pool area and most of pool-chairs you had to pre book to be able to use them. Very high prices whatever you order from the bar or restaurant

My experience at the Fontainebleau Miami was extremely disappointing. The staff was honestly some of the worst I have dealt with. Almost every time we asked for something, the answer was no. They were not helpful, and some of them were outright rude. They got our room wrong from the beginning, and even trying to fix it or discuss an upgrade became an issue. You do not even really know what room you are getting until 4 PM, and then you have to sit around waiting for a text. On top of that, this was the second day they gave us the wrong room. We were supposed to have an ocean view with a balcony, and instead we were stuck in a room with no balcony and a view of the river. This was supposed to be my birthday weekend, and the staff completely ruined the experience with their bad attitude, energy, and behavior. I will never stay at this hotel again, and I would not recommend it. If you want, I can also make it sharper, more elegant, or more Google review style. Concierge Desk was amazing. I was able to book my reservations at the restaurant La Cote and book Big Bus Tour through Coby.
- 2.5/5
Nice location, beautiful pool and lobby Very poor front desk management and attitude. Rooms are very dated.
- 1.5/5
The size of the suite and the view of the beach We were treated like second class guests as the conference guests had full run of the hotel and we were cordened off from a number of areas having to walk even longer distances to the suite which was already a long walk away from reception. The valet car recovery took 20 minutes. There was no coffee in the suite which was ridiculous for a suite that cost much more than USD1,000 per day. THERE WAS NO COMPLIMENTARY WATER IN THE ROOM. A simple bottle of Evian water cost USD12!!! The room service café latté was really terrible and cost USD15!!! The extra charges for the suite were inexplicable and enormous. This hotel is sub standard, trading on its historic reputation. A total Rip -Off.

And I went to the terrific gym at 7:45 only to be told it closed at 8p. That's shameful. Coming from CA that's only 5p, but way too early regardless. They have NO business charging a fee if they're going to do that. Having spent $1k/night I expect better.

Had an amazing experience at Fontainebleau Miami Beach Hotel. The staff throughout the hotel was extremely friendly and kind. Love all the amenities and onsite restaurants and the room was extremely clean.

Very Chic resort ! Great pool and iguanas at the pool are fun to swim with !! Food is great at the breakfast buffet and the pizza place !

The room was horrendous. We walk in to find hair all in the sink, brown spots all over the toilet seat and cover, finger makeup marks covering the bathroom door, on the floor my 3 year old is picking up false eyelashes, old m & ms which he ate off the floor, Bobby pins, Cheerios , bottle caps and wrappers. When we pulled down the sheets we noticed hair all in the bed. House keeping lied and says at full capacity when front desk says 75%. This all occurring at 10 pm at night. My young children unable to go to sleep and screaming and crying. They change our room. Only to tell us a bell boy would come get our luggage who never showed. We get to the new room at 10:50 to find the room key does not work. We call the front desk who said we need to now go back Down to the front desk for a FORTH time to get a new key card all while my young children are screaming they just want to sleep. When asked for compensation the next morning the front desk service was horrendous. I will never stay again. I can submit the photos of the repulsive room. I am extremely disappointed

It was a wonderful venue!

First, the room was clearly outdated and not properly maintained. The finishes felt worn, the decor looked tired, and it definitely did not match the premium pricing. It felt like the room hadn’t been meaningfully updated in years. The pool situation was even worse. It was completely overcrowded with kids — not exactly the upscale atmosphere you’d expect. At one point, the pool was shut down because someone had actually pooped in it. That alone was shocking. On another day, the pool closed early without any notice, and no one mentioned limited hours at check-in. We planned our afternoon around it and were just turned away. Beach service was incredibly disorganized. We waited 40 minutes just to get beach chairs and an umbrella set up. For a resort charging what they charge, that’s unacceptable. To top it off, we couldn’t get into any of the on-site restaurants. Everything was either fully booked or had long waits, and staff weren’t helpful in accommodating guests. We ended up having to leave the property just to eat. Overall, this stay did not reflect the luxury reputation the Fontainebleau tries to uphold. Between the outdated room, chaotic pool environment, poor communication, and lack of dining availability, it felt overpriced and poorly managed. I would not return.

- 2/5
Was told we had a ocean view and we did not, we were facing the building and the opposite side of ocean, went to customer service and they couldn’t accommodate the room I asked for, i wanted to see the ocean waking up and that’s the main reason I reserved this, very clean and nice but I’m very upset I didn’t get what I paid for the picture was incorrect and the lobbyist and customer service told me going through third party isn’t good . Other than the false advertisement we had a nice time.
- 3/5
Nice very large resort, well suited for conferences. The pool is nice. It would be nice if they had an adult only Jacuzzi. I give it 3 stars as I just do not see the bang for the buck. Example: 2 drinks poolside $67. Prices are out of control and as bad as Vegas. The rooms are okay but nothing extravagant.
- 4/5
There was some mold in the bathroom, shower hinges
- 5/5
The staff was great, from check in where they were dealing with a snowstorm on the East Coast and canceled cruise ships. To the room staff, restaurant and beach staff everyone was great. We were stuck three extra nights in Miami and Fontainebleau made it extra nice. Thank You

Housekeeping was skipped or done mediocrely. Oh and the drawer in the hotel room was broken, and didn’t close all the way - kinda dangerous for kids. I didn’t like that a part of the pool was closed each day for “private event”. I booked this hotel for my kids, but one day the children’s pool was closed cause some kid left a poop and when reported, they decided to take forever to clean - as a result it was closed the rest of the day. Other day, the pool was closed for a private event. The staff was always very friendly though.
- 3/5
Very busy, noisy, overpriced and rooms in fair condition. Do not come here if you are looking for a quite experience.
- 2/5
They cleaned my room at 9:30 at night
- 1/5
I booked this vacation specifically to sit by the pool and relax, but getting a chair was nearly impossible. Almost all of the chairs were “reserved,” and it was very obvious that attendants were holding them for guests who tipped them beforehand. We even came down at 9:00 AM one morning and still couldn’t get proper seating — the only available chairs were far from the pool and out of the sun. It honestly felt like you had to bribe staff just to use a basic hotel amenity, which is unacceptable at a hotel of this level and price point. Eventually I had to rent a cabana for over $300 just to have somewhere to sit by the pool. The property itself is beautiful, but a five-star hotel should not operate this way. The experience took away from the relaxation I specifically paid for, and I left very disappointed.

Everything was great, except the bed was too soft.
- 1/5
Way too busy. Pool not heated. No coffee maker in room but tons of booze. Toilet ran all night. Refrigerator broken as well as key lock. Not worthy the money. Go somewhere else for sure.
- 3/5
For the price the room/hotel were nothing special. Staff did not restock our in room bar once during the entire stay. Overall an overrated hotel and not worth the money
- 3/5
Coffee makers in the room would be a good start. Having to line up every morning for a coffee is a ridiculous waste of time.
- 5/5
Was great
- 3/5
The room had several issues. Phone was not working right and hot water was lukewarm. The amenities were ok. The reason I booked was because I wanted to use the hot tubs and they were luke warm. Additionally, I requested a refridgerator for medical reasons and it never came.
- 5/5
Great stay at the Fontainebleau. The suite was spacious and had a great view of the beach and the resort. The credit as a result of being an Expedia member was able to be used everywhere and the drinks/food service poolside is excellent. Overall a place to stay if you like the Miami vibe!

Junior Ocean View Suite had a view of a brick wall.
- 4/5
Overall stay was good. Came back after an excellent experience a year ago. Complimentary bikes were great and food was good. Oceanfront balcony room was a great view, clean and reasonably appointed. Was a bit disappointed this time around in some minor things. Service at the pool was not nearly as quick, and very inconsistent. Music from La Cote and the Arkadia area was terribly loud - and competed in terms of genre. Just noisy. There was also an event on the last day of our stay that basically shut down 75% of the pool area. We were not informed and it caused confusion and a tremendous lack of space in the largest public area of the resort. This would have been good information to have so we could plan accordingly.
- 1/5
25 minute wait at checkin, dirty carpets and scuffed hallways was not a good start, but it got worse. The pool areas all close at 6. I don’t just mean the pools-it’s the hot tub and the chairs by the pool. One of the staff literally said the chairs close and you are not allowed to sit outside after 6??! The pool was crowded, they ran out of towels and you have to have your bag searched to get in. The housekeeping staff was rude and weird, knocking several times in a row but never cleaned our room over 3 night stay. The arrival and departure drives are an absolute mess and it’s as if they don’t know how to operate a hotel. I would never stay here again.
- 3/5
Did not get the room I booked, booked a oceanview and ended up with a standard no-=view room)!!!!

The room was run down the sheets had holes in them the towels were ragged the room was dirty the photo of the room I booked online was not the room we got the elevators didn’t work I was on floor 19 and had to take the stairs most of the time the water was cold the chairs at the beach were never available I had to leave after the second night because the room and conditions were so bad didn’t even stay the entire time

Fontainebleau Miami Beach is immaculate and truly iconic. The historic atmosphere combined with modern luxury makes it a standout experience. The pools are excellent, beach access is seamless, and the location is perfect for South Beach and events like the boat show. Dining was a highlight, particularly La Côte, the outdoor restaurant. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking to experience classic Miami at its best.

Amazing upgrade and fantastic service! Thank you.

Everything was amazing room, prime 54 stakehouse.
- 3/5
Considering it was Valentines weekend, it was overall good. But the room could have been better considering the rate. Could have been cleaner around the furnishings - a lot of dust behind the nightstand and in the air vents.
- 5/5
Great stay ,room clean and beds comfortable . Restaurants great
- 3/5
Overall customer service needs a major overhaul at the Fontainebleau. Poor service at the check-in desk. 20 people in line to check in and only two staff members running the front desk is unacceptable. Everything you ask for comes at additional cost. I stayed here 30 years ago and the experience was superb. The room was over $500 a night with no amenities. We had to bring our own coffee maker and accessories for it. The highlight of my stay was our housekeeper on the 14th floor, "Yanick". She knows what customer service is and we loved her. She went out of her way to make us happy which is more than I can say for any of the other staff we had to deal with. I will not be returning to the Fontainebleau. The hotel is not what it used to be and has lost that special nostalgia that it once had. What a shame!
- 5/5
Great resort and location.
- 3/5
The tv did not work and no one came to fix it. They only gave me two days of resort fee back for the five days without tv! Very expensive! Will never return

Staff support was lacking. No house keeping services. Rooms were not clean
- 5/5
Room was very clean, beautiful view and the service was excellent!
- 3/5
Excellent service, staff was phenomenal, and beautiful lobby/restaurants/cafe. However jacuzzi was dirty, bed was incredibly uncomfortable and there were things leftover behind the tv stand that were out of reach but clearly left over from another visit. Overall, the hotel was fair for the price, but could be better with some modest improvements.
- 5/5
Amazing experience
- 4/5
It was nice but shower water did not get hot.
- 3/5
Also for how much you pay, the amenities in the room were subpar. Outdated TVs with no streaming service. No robes or slippers, etc. dirty windows. The whole room lacked the luxurious feel, which you pay for.
- 4/5
The room was clean for the most part besides some type of spill on the window. The establishment was beautiful but the service not the best at times. The first night I decided to to go the lounge with my friend that was staying with me there and we were told we had to leave because my friend was “sleeping at the table” which she wasn’t. I truly would hope that the servers were not being prejudice against us. The next day at the pool it seemed like the server was prioritizing everyone else over us as well. I still enjoyed myself but the staff could have better hospitality.

Room service was sporadic, guests were obnoxious, everything was an up-charge. The value for the money was simply not there.

Just missed on all of the little things and felt like almost everything was a money grab. No umbrellas to use, pool closed super early and the staff almost seemed happy about that etc., noise in the room. Beach staff was great but otherwise don’t think it’s really worth the hype. Unlikely to ever stay here again
- 5/5
Room was good. The view was great! Staff was excellent, very helpful, from the front entrance, front desk, ate at all

Iconic hotel with great energy. Clean rooms, welcoming staff, excellent amenities, and a perfect beachfront location. Loved the bar atmosphere at La Côte, the beautiful beach, and the stunning room view. Would definitely come back.

Everything was excellent from Valet, Front Desk, staff, room was exceptional, so beautiful, so safe and so secure! Cannot wait to stay there again!

Amazing staff, very clean, great energy and always a good time!
- 3/5
The rooms were as expected for the resort. Just be aware that the resort is very large and requires much walking. The pool and beach were nice. Food and drink were very expensive and there is very little to walk to nearby. While I was there, there were many conventions. If going with a family of children you could have a very high bill. One donut was $9.

Hot tub wasn’t hot at all. Closed at 7 pm which is weird as most of the resorts in the area close at 10/11pm. No towels whatsoever, the bartender actually gave me their personal towel. 80 for valet to park, or $150 for VIP. A two minute walk and parking is $20 per day. Shower took 10-15 minutes for the water to get hot. For almost a grand a night, I would have expected much nicer and the ability to use the amenities past the time allowed. I think it’s nice, but overall will not be back.
- 3/5
What a massive difference! The first felt like a proper high-end hotel (think Four Seasons or a higher end Hyatt). This one was like "... Airport Hotel and Conference Center" (insert chain name) with several pools. Seemed like a place that had seen better days. Carpet was old and frayed, room smelled off a little, and several fixtures in the bathroom were a bit wonky (for instance, the toilet paper roll would fall off because the dispenser wasn't tightly secured to the wall). Just a really tired room. The rest of the hotel had a similar vibe. Large work groups that were quite loud in the lobby and restaurants. Some young kids running around. Long queues at the front desk using those Disneyland-style cattle herding bariers. All really disapointing if you were expecting a nicer hotel. Staff were all plesant enough, with the only issue being no concierge at the desk for 10+ minutes one evening (eventually gave up). My goal isn't to completely trash the hotel in this review. Just to warn people that this IS NOT a high end hotel in its current form. Don't make my mistake.

Our room, hotel common space, beach, pool all very nice. hallways show some wear and tear ( overdue for repaint). Limited on site lunch options considering the size of the hotel. Wish they had in room coffee maker. need more folks helping check in: long line.
- 3/5
A lovely place but issues: 1) room toilet had to be fixed; 2) wrong information provided by check-in staff cost us money, which management was unwilling to resolve; 3) falsely charged us for $250 of minibar items (hotel did resolve this); 4) lobby area was freezing.
- 1/5
Wouldn’t let me change my stay date, in spite of winter blizzard with flight cancellations.

amazing pools with excellent service, turquoise beach, bike rentals included, great meals at restaurants on site
- 3/5
We were also charged incorrectly for all the minibar snacks.

No coffee maker in room, no robes, small towels, no fridge space, noise from adjoining room, expensive cold food at pool, very long walk through freezing convention centre to get to pool and gym, no shopping area within walking distance of hotel, didn't always make up room. Famous hotel and not cheap so I expected more. Check in and pool staff were friendly.

I am writing to formally share feedback regarding my recent stay at your property last weekend. During my visit, I spent in excess of $15,000, and unfortunately the experience did not align with the standards expected of a luxury hotel. Specifically, I encountered several issues: Room service was unavailable Multiple elevators were not functioning, causing repeated delays Pool towels were unavailable for extended periods While a manager later offered to remove the resort fees, these service disruptions collectively indicate a broader operational breakdown during the stay. I am sharing this feedback not out of frustration, but out of disappointment. The property’s branding and reputation suggest a premium experience, yet the execution during this visit fell noticeably short of that expectation. I hope this message reaches the appropriate team and is taken seriously, as I would expect a hotel of this stature to maintain consistent service standards, particularly for guests spending at this level. Thank you for your time and attention. I look forward to your response. Kind regards, Valentin

It’s as if they are doing you a favor letting you stay. Only hotel in the world that makes you pay to lounge by the pool. Unless you pay for cabana or daybed, there are few lounge chairs by pool and you need to sit on fake grass far from the pool. Honestly hotel sucks and many rooms are run down. I had top floor in the sorrento and had no WiFi or cell signal especially on the balcony. Couldn’t make phone calls.
- 2/5
However when checking in, the line was wrapped around the lobby. I had the same experience when on the beach wanting to get lounge chairs. In addition I paid for a daybed and the beach boys started closing down the beach at 5 pm…removing cushions, chairs + towels. Service should not end at 5PM as to many people that’s the best time of day…the sun going in, the sun setting, less crowded and a nice breeze. They stop room service at 11 PM- we are in south beach not Kansas. Most restaurants are open till 12 AM and this is a late night city. If you order Uber Eats you have to go downstairs to get it which nobody wants to do late at night. The toilet was constantly running… I have stayed at setai, Nobu, Eden roc, faena, one, edition…all of them are way higher end than here!
- 5/5
I loved the place nice staff only issue is the long wait for valet
- 1/5
Called ahead asking for a quiet room. Arrived and double checked that it was quiet. Got in the room and indeed there was a beach party outside until 4 AM (that they knew about for months since it was Art Basel). They then moved my room promising my baggage would be there when I got back later that day. It wasn’t. Took 2 hours to be delivered to the room. Lastly one of the housekeeping staff members stole my LV perfume from the room… they told me they aren’t responsible and that I need to fill out a bunch of paperwork to file a claim… disaster. I’ll never stay here again.

The front desk dismissed our concerns instead of attempting to find a solution. The AC unit was so loud that we couldn’t enjoy the balcony or ocean view, and the bathroom door was impossible to lock. These issues took away from what should have been a relaxing stay.

We did not have hot water for showers. Prices for drinks and food were unreasonable. No refrigerator, complementary water bottles, or coffee in rooms.

Everything stood out! Best location over had ok n years! Pleasent staff, happy people, great environment! Thanks

Staff forced their way into our room on our third and final night of the stay. 3 men came unannounced to our door, knocked and woke us up. After answering the door, they claimed we did not have a reservation and said we needed to leave, thinking they were criminals, they shared no proof of their claim nor had ID badges on to show who they were or that they were employed there. I tried to shut the door but they stuck their foot in the door and tried to force their way in, they eventually got in and told us to pack our bags and leave. After they were in the room for a couple minutes they were on the phone with their manager who said they made a mistake, they said they would reimburse our stay to make up for the mistake then left. The hotel never called to apologize that morning and I had to argue with them to honor the reimbursement which they have yet to fully honor.

This is a beautiful hotel. The room was in good condition when we went in. The check-in was horrendous. They did not have enough people working and it was lines and lines of people at check-in we checked in at 11 we didn’t get our room till 430 and then we had to stand in the check-in line all over again to get our room key. In our room, the phone was broken. I told the concierge our phone was broken and she said she would send someone up to fix it. She never did. I had to chase down the housekeeping lady the next day to come and clean our room up and then she only half cleaned it up. She didn’t leave us towels. She left dirty dishes she didn’t get ice or empty the ice bucket. I called for room service that was fine. I asked for late checkout and the guy who gave me the information I couldn’t understand him because he had a very heavy accent and when I asked him to repeat himself, he got upset. It was rude. He then told me the next day I had to call on the same day. We wanted a late checkout so I did call at 8 o’clock in the morning and they said no late checkout today. No nothing else no explanation. I’ve stayed at lesser hotels and received late checkout . I did not receive my $75 resort fee credit from Expedia either.

room was very nice.

The staff was fantastic. We had an issue with the shower not getting hot enough. It was resolved within the hour ans they took off our amenity fees for the 1st 2 days we were there before we had the water fixed!

Didn't expect a handicap room but we made it work. The check in receptionist wasn't so helpful or just seemed uninterested in hearing our wants from the stay. The one we check out with Mercedes was more than helpful. Thank you Mercedes we will be back because you gave us hope. The hotel room was clean but lacked robes or laundry plastic bag. Learned it had to be requested. Maintenance man came to fix a previous issue as soon as we got in the room. He was banging on the door and when we told him no thank you he beat on the door some more. We advised the front desk about it

The rooms are great, spacious and modern. Lots of amenities, you never have to leave. It’s basically a resort. The restaurants are mid. Other than being locked outside my room in time for a meeting and security taking 30 minutes to come, I enjoyed my stay. I’ll happily return.

Rooms were nice but we didn’t get serviced 2 of the 6 days there even though we were gone most of the days. Also, it’s noisy, the music is loud outside all day long from the massive party atmosphere. Expensive!! My great grandfather was part of the original ownership group—it was nice to see the place, but for the money, Lowe’s provides better value and we’ll head back there.

Only issue is that. It’s a very family type of resort. If you want a boutique vibe not the place to go

The best hotel we’ve stayed at.

Clean room, nice view. Just wish I had been able to get refunded the night I couldn’t stay due to having to leave to beat a major winter storm home.

House keepers don’t clean properly, for that cost you don’t get no water, no slippers nothing. Just empty room for 500-800$ per night is insane

One negative was the pool area on the weekend, from 11am until 6pm they play very loud thumping bass music which can be heard everywhere including the rooms. VERY ANNOYING

Didnt love it

1) No one opened the door for me on arrival. 2) Flyers for happy hour and swim diapers posted staff seemed to not know about or they were outdated. 3) Staff ignored putting down a towel for me at the pool.

It was amazing. I don’t think they are slightly overpriced

Nice property, didn't get to utilize the pool and the beach because of the weather. Everything looked very nice just wish there was more to do in the area if it's raining. Other than catching an Uber and getting away.

The Fontainebleau Miami Beach is a beautiful property and the overall atmosphere is very nice. Unfortunately, the upkeep did not meet expectations for a hotel of this caliber. The bathroom was dirty, and the shower grout was visibly gross, which was disappointing. On top of that, the AC in the room was leaking. The location and aesthetics are great, but the lack of proper maintenance really took away from the experience.

Pls: - clean the rooms, I mean carpets, deep clean or replace, they are dirty, even if the well designed patterns, all those beige turned to dirty brown. - most rooms/J. suite sold as can sleep 5, that is far from truth, missold, at best a bed room with king and a sofa is good for 3 . But sofa is just a torture with the thin matress, so better not to pull out. (and it was dirty, smelled like something. - Room service, food quality dropped since summer, new chefs? On the positive side, pools, steak restaurant, location, beach, and the atmosphere is still the best on SB.

Excellent experience here! Great room with a view of the city a beach. Hakkasan restaurant at the hotel was fantastic! Only minor issue was the elevators at Tresor tower were slow and often crowded.

Disappointing. Overall, the hotel needs a refurbish, and it’s evident from the moment you walk in. The room was run down and showed were and tear, and the pool service was horribly slow—and charged an automatic 25% gratuity. I have stayed at the Fontainebleau in Las Vegas, which is fantastic. This one is nothing like it.
