Location is great. But the pictures are fake, no bar on property, rooms are run down and def do not look like the pictures they posted. Valet service is 50 bucks and u have to park your car and go get it. Hahaha. The beds sound like they are falling apart and everyone u move it wakes the everyone up. Do not stay here! Better off at a motel 6. Fake pictures used on their hotel website.

It’s a no frills, just a good roof to sleep under. Lady at the front was such a sweetie. If you don’t expect much , I’d say go for it. The ocean view was ok considering hotel is across the street.

It was FREEZING. We did try to ask the front desk but they leave at around 11 or midnight or so. There is crabby pissed off security guard there who is so glued to his phone that he seriously will got pissed for asking him a question. Nobody will smile here. Trust me. You are just another tourist. 4am, no staff, 5am no staff. finally at 8pm we got blankets but then missed 1/2 a day of precious vacation time because of this debacle. Missing trips to the sites and on and on. We just wanted a blankets so we could sleep! The next day I realized they were arms length of the security guard was standing! The staff could seriously care less. Other stuff. The pictures make this room seem newly painted. Ha! its very dirty with sand in the sofa. The beds are so so at best. Its not all bad. The view is very nice. The room spacious bigger than what you would get for this price for beach front. Its just south of the main strip and the party noise is manageable. Great location. It has so much potential if only the staff gave a #%)&@ about any of that.

Our travel plans went sideways so we didn't arrive for our 1 night stay until bedtime and we had to leave before dawn so I didn't get to enjoy as planned but the hotel definately has old school Miami Beach vibes, was clean as a whistle and our room was clean and comfy. I hope to come back and try again.

Property it’s located it in a Great Location, however my room wasn’t ready and was told was booked for next day which wasn’t truth. Front desk was gone and a security guy helped with the confusion. Finally was giving a dirty room, air conditioning wasn’t working properly and never got an apology from the manager. Never again.

The staff was beyond helpful and kind! They helped us check-in early after not initially seeing our Hotels.com booking (call them to check). We were sun exhausted and dead tired after an action packed 4 day cruise. It's an older building so don't expect shining surfaces, but the features in the stair ways and lobby were beautiful. They have ice in the lobby, they will hold your luggage if you ask nicely, but there were no beach towels. The elevator was still down and we were on the third floor. Thankfully my fiance carried the one checked bag and they didn't charge a deposit for the inconvenience. We weren't charged the "resort fee" upon arriving, but as mentioned they didn't have beach towel so that may be why. The A/C in the room is 100x stronger than the lobby so don't worry, your room will be nice and cold. We overall had a great time and again the staff was beyond kind and helpful during our stay!

Location, staff and water pressure are the ONLY items I would be able to recommend for this property. The lobby IS NOT as pictured on Expedia or their website. It must be an AI rendering from and Architect when they were thinking about a remodel. The entrance is dark, dank and an overall heavy feel. No HVAC in the lobby to speak of creating a nasty musty smell. The staff were wonderful though, very friendly and helpful. The room is spacious but has ZERO amenities. No coffee, coffee maker, cups, glasses of any kind, just a small fridge. This was just a stop over for a cruise, but it just started the vacay off on a down note. The entire hotel needs some serious maintenance/cleaning. Do not recommend.

There is no working elevator, no shuttle from airport, no working Wi-Fi. The location is great right across from beach. That is the best thing about this property. Oh the loud music from right. Eli’s keeps you awake all night.

Perfect location for the beach. Simple, old school art deco hotel. If you need a basic room, great location and no amenities, this is a very good option.

The rooms were super dirty and they didn’t even give us blankets. There were no plug ins in the room that worked except for the bathroom and it was really nasty

The windows were bolted/painted shut (I'm sure this was a fire risk) There was a big crack in the sink. There was no tea or coffee facilities. Was a fridge but no glasses at all. The first night the fire alarm went off about 6 times intermittently every 20 mins. I tried to contact reception to find out what was happening but no reply. In the morning I asked and all she said was "no fire, sorry" No one came into make our bed etc whilst we were there. Staff not very friendly The toilets in reception were awful and in need of repair

Beach view room from 2nd floor, very cool ac in the room itself, friendly accommodating staff. Not a modern perfectly updated place but a humble historical building with great restaurant (CJs Crab Shack) on first floor. Perfect one nights rest before we headed out to cruise!

Room was clean, but very dingy and ran down, and also old, makes the cleanliness seem not clean, faucets were spraying water, cracks and missing porcelain on tub, plug was missing out of sink, and like I said, his old and dinged so didn’t feel clean, beds are hard as a rock along with the pillows, there is no controlled A/C so it was either FREEZING when building activated A/C or BURNING cause it wasn’t on, no fans either, and windows did open, but there was no screen or safety blanket? So you could literally fall STORIES if left open… also don’t bother asking any staff for assistance as every time I did they irritably took their headphones out of their ear like I was an inconvenience, lastly we booked this place with the elevator for a member who is disabled, but apparently the elevator has been out of service for years, so our guest had to find another hotel last minute to stay at that could accommodate, and we weren’t offered any refunds

CJ CLAM BAR right next door. EXCELLENT food. Staff is WONDERFUL. EVERYTHING is within a 5 minute walk.

The hotel was in a good location, however photos on Hotel.com were not reflective of the actual hotel… assuming there is a nicely decorated room on the premises… reception had no interaction with us at all (not complaining) bed sink in the middle and overlooked scruffiest car park… air con was so cold on the 1st night needed all the bedding from spare bed on main one to thaw out.

The location was superb! Small rooms, needing updating. Elevator not working for over 6 months. Yellow tags on water suppression equipment. No housekeeping. Wifi was as slow as a dial up modem from the 1980s. The bed frame is cracked. Had to ask for a blanket. Electrical hard to reach for CPAP equipment Stairs not easy to navigate with luggage (and a recent broken hip)

When booking, the website said the rooms were renovated and because we were across the street practically on the beach, I was excited and looking forward to the stay! When we arrived they discounted us the $25 check-in fee due to their elevator not working. The staff was very nice and apologetic. The rooms looked nothing like the pictures on the website. The bathtubs needed caulking and were worn (the ceramic or paint was coming off) The night stands next to the beds were dirty, worn, and outdated. The walls were dirty. It was freezing in our rooms and we were unable to control the temperature, we were told to close the vent (eyeroll)! The only thing that was good about the stay was the convenience of the location.

The front desk receptionist was extremely rude and unwelcoming, acting as if I was inconveniencing her. I asked about early check-in and was bluntly told no. We waited in the lobby for a while and checked again before heading out for lunch, but she didn’t even ask for my phone number to notify me when the room was ready. When I requested a call, she had me write my number on a Post-it note, which felt unprofessional. While waiting, I used the lobby restroom, and it was absolutely disgusting—honestly shocking. I’ve never seen a public restroom in that condition. When our room was finally ready on the third floor, we found out the elevator was out of service and had to carry our large luggage up three flights of stairs. Later, when I went to get ice, there was no information anywhere. After going back downstairs, I was told the ice machine was broken and there was no ice available. It didn’t get better from there. My husband went to shower and found that most of the towels were stained. Then at night, we realized the hotel is next to a very noisy area. There were people outside arguing, revving cars, and blasting music well into the night. Even with the windows closed and earplugs in, the noise was constant. Overall, this stay was extremely disappointing. I would not recommend staying here.

The view was great, the staff was great. Location was ok. It was close to the beach and restaurants, which was great, but if you need an early bed-time, the party goes on until early in the morning. No ceiling fan or AC control so keep those blinds/curtains shut. For an overnight stay, it was perfect.

The only downside related to the location is the loud party atmosphere, unless that is what you are coming for. The music and street noise on the streets below echo into the room late into the night. But this is to be expected for the location, so I can’t complain too much.

Absolutely nothing. The only positive part of this experience was leaving the property immediately upon seeing the condition of the room. The room was a complete health hazard. When I walked in, I found used, wrinkled sheets covered in previous guests' hair. The toilet was filthy with used tissue still inside, and the trash cans were overflowing with garbage from whoever stayed there before me. The room was completely uninhabitable and uncleaned. To make matters worse, the management is completely unprofessional and ignores you once you raise an issue.

To start with, the elevator was out of order and had to carry 3 large bags up 3 flights of stairs. The room we were in had not been cleaned. The toilet was clogged and filled with feces. There was no one on site who would plunge the toilet. I had to plunge it my self and then get into a cleaning closet to get supplies to sanitize the bathroom afterwards. There denied there was any other room and no effort was made to make the situation better. Do not stay at this property.

If you just looking to sleep, its okay. I wouldn't stay there again.

The room was a good size. We had 2 rooms on different floors. The room on the first floor had its on A/C to accommodate your own temperature. The room on the second floor did not have its own thermostat and we froze. Also, the elevator was broken and no staff to carry your bags. It’s not luxury. The beds are hard and the pillows are rocks.

The online pictures of this hotel must have been taken 20+yrs ago or AI generated. Although the location is fantastic, the condition of the hotel is not. The elevator is permanently out of order and you can tell that it has been for a long time. Also, parking… they don’t mention that you have to pay for it. They have a small lot behind the hotel but they will charge you $40-$60 a day to park there depending on what is happening in the area that day. I would choose another hotel.

Simply put, you’re paying for location. This was my second stay. The hotel is older. The beds squeak. The sink drained slowly. It is aged but was clean enough. It was ok enough for me to go for a second stay.

We did not stay there because the floors were filthy, and the place probably had been cleaned and over a year the main hallways in the bathroom for the public.

Hotel is too old. In very poor condition. No elevator. Valet does not handle your car but you pay $40 per day anyway and they're not operated by the hotel. Only 6 parking spaces. Daylight in the room 24/7. Broken fixtures in room. Safe is not mounted to a surface, so cannot be used. Floor was not swept. Room was not clean. Sheets and towels were the only clean things.

The lovely girl with the beautiful curly hair at the reception was incredibly friendly and welcoming. We arrived early, and she kindly gave us towels so we could enjoy the beach while our suitcases were safely stored in a separate room, such thoughtful service. Our room on the second floor had good air conditioning, and overall everything was clean and comfortable. The beds were pretty good, and we slept well. Family members stayed in a room on the third floor; unfortunately, the WiFi didn’t work well there, which was the only downside. The location is fantastic, and the service truly made our stay special. We will definitely come back to this hotel!

Hallways were a preview as to how unkept this hotel is. Musty smells, dirty, peeling wallpaper etc. made our way to our room and was not surprised at how dirty the interior was. Immediately checked for bed bugs and was pleased to discover none. The bedding however was stained and there was something resembling fecal matter or dirt, who knows at that point along the bedskirt. It was along the base so we steered clear (it was obvious that a call to the front desk would accomplish nothing as everything in this hotel was in rough shape and dirty so why bother) The furniture had potential to be cute and eclectic however the severe water damage, broken components and overall maintenance ruined that. My husband showered in this place and noticed pubic hairs left in the sink and around the drain. The caulking around the tub was covered in black mold and the floors in the entire hotel room were absolutely filthy. When we told the front desk they told us they had a new cleaning company and would mention it. It was a horrible experience and this is the first time I have EVER left a review like this. Absolutely do not recommend.

It was along the base so we steered clear (it was obvious that a call to the front desk would accomplish nothing as everything in this hotel was in rough shape and dirty so why bother) The furniture had potential to be cute and eclectic however the severe water damage, broken components and overall maintenance ruined that. My husband showered in this place and noticed pubic hairs left in the sink and around the drain. The caulking around the tub was covered in black mold and the floors in the entire hotel room were absolutely filthy. When we told the front desk they told us they had a new cleaning company and would mention it. It was a horrible experience and this is the first time I have EVER left a review like this. Absolutely do not recommend.

The elevator didn’t work. There were no cups in room. Our room was clean and cute. Great location. Beds were comfy. But not having an elevator work and carrying luggage up three flights of stairs was not cool.

The staff was very friendly. One thing to note, this is an old building and the entire hotel is on central heat and air. So you dont have any control over the tempnin your room. The elevator was put of order so the flights of steps were rough, but they didnt charge the 25.00 mandatory fee.

Sadly I can’t think of anything I liked about this facility other than the location. so much. outlets were extremely limited, no coffee machine or cups, no kleenex, just bare minimmums in every category. I had to wake up the “security” guy behind the desk at 6:00 am to check out and get my car key.

The location to South Beach is amazing!

Beach access is amazing. It is perfectly located in South Beach.

The hygiene of the room is not good, the facilities are outdated, and there is a peculiar smell. My three-year-old kid had a red rash all over his body after staying overnight.

This property is not accurately represented in the photos. It is in a serious state of neglect. The elevator was broken, the wifi was broken, the windows didn't open, the shower didn't work, and there was no air conditioning, just a fan coming through a vent. It looks like it hasn't been taken care of in decades. The staff were very nice. We forfeited our entire 4 nights stay after one night and went and paid for another hotel.

Showed up to check in after a red eye flight. Was told they had no copy of my reservation but I could wait around for two hours when the manager got in. Couldn’t stay awake so left to book another hotel. I said I’d take a refund but they said they had nothing to refund cause they had no reservation. Figured was some error. Now the property and hotels.com are denying my refund. How can this happen? Charged me, denied me the service and then won’t offer refund. Terrible customer service from this hotel and hotels.com

After paying $40 for valet parking in the back of the hotel we had to haul our own luggage all the way around the block to the front. Upon checking out we had to do the same to return to our car. Not what I expect from valet, more like self parking. Before leaving for our cruise , I asked front desk if we were able to leave our luggage at the front desk when we returned since we had a late flight. They informed us that would not be a problem. When we returned they not only told us they would not honor that request but were left to figure what to do with our luggage since they offered no suggestions. Very disappointing stay!

The elevator was out of order and there was no bottom floor rooms available, and we were unable to access the second floor with our luggage so they were unable to supply a adequate room for our stay so they canceled our reservation and we were forced to go fined a new hotel room in the rain very unsatisfactory for sure

just an older rundown building .. paid 40 to valet park the car in the alley walked back out five minutes later and they wouldn’t even refund the valet complete waste of money. it is right on the water so if you want a hotel for a little cheaper of a price this is the place for you.

It was in a great spot but hard to get to because ocean st and was closed for the holidays. They say there is parking but you have to go to Colin’s street and it was 40 dollars a night. The room looked a lot shabbier than the picture and the bathroom walls can use a good cleaning

Horror ! Nothing like the pictures that you see o. Expedia site. We had to move out. The rooms stinks, facilities aren’t working and after a month I haven’t received my money back!

Room was in front of the ocean view which was great. Sheets were stained with we don't know what. The air conditioner was and it was 50 degrees outside which was on 12/30/25 Didn't offer extra blankets. We slept with hoodies and fully dressed, Tried to turn it out but it didn't work the air conditioner. The elevator was down didn't work, which it's been down since our last cruise which was about 3 yrs ago. So trying to carry your luggage was a hassle. working elevator, clean sheets and a place that serve breakfast that wasn't so expensive like surrounding breakfast place. Location was great, across the street from the lummus park and the beach. Rooms were large overlooking ocean dr. And now the bad: No temp adjustment on the room, frigid cold temps in the room. Plumbing was a mess, no running water for a bit, toilets were plug which resulted in you waking to the end of the hall and collecting a communal plunger (they’re $5 at Home Depot, put one in each room if you can fix the plumbing issues. Check in was a nightmare, took several hours waiting despite arriving at check in time. Cannot access the hotel, they should mention ocean dr is closed permanently to vehicles so you have to get dropped off several blocks away and walk with your luggage.

Additionally, the air conditioning was not working in one of the rooms. The in-room safety box was also nonfunctional due to a dead battery. We reported this issue, but no one came to fix it during our stay. Housekeeping was another major concern. Our rooms were not cleaned at any point during the three days, despite placing the “Please Make Up Room” sign on the door daily and directly asking housekeeping staff we encountered in the hallway. We had to go to the front desk to request clean towels, and each time we were told they were unsure if towels were available. When we asked why the rooms had not been cleaned for two days, the front desk staff informed us that “room cleaning is not guaranteed,” which was both surprising and disappointing. Overall, the lack of basic service, communication, and responsiveness significantly affected our stay. We hope this feedback is taken seriously and addressed to improve future guest experiences.

I knew from previous reviews that the lift was out of order and that the air con was permanently on "cold" through out the hotel and rooms. It's not independent. This was still the case! Whilst checking in another guest had to ask for blankets for his wife as the room was so cold! I thought I could manage the cold but struggled as well. My room was basic but clean with a super king size bed that overlooked Ocean drive out to the beach. Overall the hotel has a great location but that is the only thing going for it! It needs a complete refurb but looking at previous reviews, it's been like this for years, so I don't see any immediate changes....I would give this a miss!

My bed was full of blood stains so that means the sheets were dirty. The blankets were dirty and they made a bed that was bloody. Also, after I cried and told them I have nowhere to go at 1:30 AM. They put me in a new room with two beds one bed was also dirty. I will not recommend this location to anyone and I am disappointed and I have pictures to prove it.

The staff member was really rude when we asked him about the air conditioning set the same for the whole floor. Elevator doesn't work and we stayed on 3rd floor, we didn't have any kind of discount for that they lower the deposit from 200 to 100 but there is not a discount since it's money that we get back. we would not stay there again, especially since the windows are screwed shut.

This was a horrible experience from the time we got there. We only got the room for 1 night. I was not informed about the parking situation at no point during the booking or the multiple times I called. They have a so-called valet parking. However, the lot was right behind the hotel in a sketchy alley, it was $40 for 1 night and when we left I had to get the car myself.

They did let me know ahead of time, however the elevator doesn't work. There was another review that stated his refrigerator didnt work so i was already going into with that mindset... My refrigerator was the opposite. It was so cold i put my things in there a few hours frozen solid... redbull can puffed out like a blow fish. The wifi is awful! The TV is connected to the wifi so the tv never worked. I took a photo for proof of what my screen looked like. I sometimes got a "theres a problem trying to play samsung tv. Check your connection" theres another screen i saw once but dont have that photo fyi, that said "there's no connection, connect to a network to use samsung TV" but what was weird was that the sound of the channel would come in and out..connected my phone to the wifi, and nothing loaded in a timely fashion. Videos, tiktok, tooks years to load i was forced to use data. The positive about here... its literally right across from the beach. Also relatively close to the little shopping mall and restaurants to keep you occupied since the tv didnt work. And the bed was pretty comfortable. Would i ever come back, absolutely not. Never in a million years.

Beach Park met our needs as a budget option on ocean drive … basic room, clean with nice bed & bedding, towels and toiletries. Big THANKYOU to Helen (Ellen) for speedy and efficient check in and sorting other requests we made during our 4 night stay 10/10. Sadly cannot say the same for other staff, mobile phones for staff need to be banned, customers should be their priority !! None the less we would use again.

There was no elevator and I’m handicap. There’s no air in the room you put us in. I paid for a beachfront and you couldn’t see the beach. This hotel is zero stars and that’s what it should be listed at on your Expedia app because this was the worst hotel I’ve ever been in it stunk and there wasn’t nothing I could do. I had to go buy cleaning products to clean it because it was so nasty I don’t think they’ve ever mopped the floor I was so disappointed in this hotel that I’ll never use Expedia again. I tried to call and make a complaint and the manager on duty wanted to give me 50 Expedia points when I spent more than that on the hotel and then the lady at the hotel said Expedia never contacted them because they would’ve given our money back, but Expedia told us that the hotel manager said that they couldn’t reimburse us anything but then again the lady running the place said nobody ever called even check because she would’ve gladly given our money back so we had to stay five days in a dump very disappointed

Air conditioner is central. You do not have control over the thermostat. And there is no coffee pot in your room or downstairs. We had to walk almost a mile to the Starbucks because there was not even any cafés open until 7 AM. Just make sure you know that before you stay because we did not.

I wish we could add photos. This hotel was gross! The front desk said we could get a refund through Hotels.com and then Hotels.com said the hotel said no. Elevator was out of service, outlet in the bathroom looked like it had been on fire, rust in the shower. Go to the the hotel next door. Our friends stayed there and it was 100x better for same price.

Ok for one night stay. Very old and outdated. Bathrooms very small and missing most of the door to the shower. (Not sure if that was supposed to be on purpose). Beds very very firm. Loud. Could hear people from three rooms over (if you know what I mean) and every conversation and foot steps from the hallway. Door had old school locks and didn’t seem very strong. Great location and if you just needed a place to sleep worth the price. Parking another issue all together. We left early morning and the number for the valet no one answered or any answering service. Had to wait forever until someone from the hotel was able to help us.

Reception appeared to be completely disinterested in us as guests. The elevator was not working and no offer of help to go up the stairs with luggage until we insisted. The elevator has been out for four months. Wifi was unsecure and McAfee suggested I not use. Noisy hotel guests through the night

The room was okay, given what it is. The fact there is only 2 wall outlets in the entire room and the fact it stayed insanely warm the entire stay was not good. They need to be more upfront about the room amities.

Staff did not explain anything and seemed unconcerned about guest's needs.

The only good thing was the location. There was not one electrical outlet in the bedroom for guests to use. There was one in the bathroom that the hairdryer was plugged in to. Unacceptable! No vent at all in the bathroom. The beds were absolutely horrible! Loud creaking with every movement, hard mattresses.

The elevator was out, no assistance offered to get our suitcase upstairs. The beds were very uncomfortable. The staff was neither welcoming or helpful. Other than that it was okay for a night.

Front staff was very helpful with any and all questions I had. Location is insane! Walking out the front door takes you right to the beach. Nestled in between great restaurants. 30 second walk from bicycle rentals. I would definitely come back.

Yes I know the valet was a different company but I still expect front desk to be kind and helpful and make me feel like my concerns matter and make an effort to try to remedy them. His colleague a young woman the next day greeted me with a smile and was helpful to at least make me feel like she would come up with a solution. This was as I mentioned the second time staying here because I had great WiFi last time and a working room and great location. But based on this experience (even though I got a more expensive suite this time) I will not be staying here again neither will I recommend this place. Very disappointed.

The elevator was not working and I had multiple rooms that my parents that are old had to go up to the third floor my other room there were handicap because of their lungs and they were on the second floor with no elevators. That’s tough with your bags, maybe since the elevators were down they should’ve had workers carried up the bags for the people that couldn’t handle it. there was no phone call no nothing no Email saying that the elevators were down and they were down for the whole time and no timing on when they’re getting them back.

Great location and access to dining drinks the beach!

It was a stay that was needed at the last minute, so thankful for somewhere to stay. It was very cold, could not adjust the temperature, I got sick as well. The toilet had to be fixed, lighting was poor. We saw 3 roaches, one in the bathroom, and two in the bedroom. The staff was nice but the actual physical hotel, I will not stay again. I honestly feel like we are owed money back.

The place was immaculate with new flooring, bathroom was perfect. I was pleasantly surprised by how clean it was. The location is perfect.

Their elevator was out of service. The lobby was hot & humid. The hotel room was VERY hot, no thermostat whatsover, we had to adjust to the condition that the place was in which was in shambles. There was a cockroach in our bathroom crawling around AND the walls were paper thin, I could hear everyone and everything in that hotel. This honestly has been the worse "hotel" I've stayed at. The reality did not meet the expectations and the pretty aesthetic they paint to have online.

I paid for valet parking which is a separate company from the hotel and I had to park my car every time and pull it out as well ballet was never to be found so I paid $120 to park my own car. The location is amazing The beach is right across the street. They need to upgrade their TV channel system and it would have been nice to have a microwave in the building. The room was amazing I really enjoyed my stay I just did not like the valley issue. I will return again.

Cons - Staff was pretty rude to indifferent. Fine print is if you stay only one night you have to pay $100 deposit. Elevator was broken. Costs $40 to park overnight even if you are staying with them. Parking wasn't explained well at check in and I had to go searching for the parking guy to get my keys to find out they were at the front desk. No vending or water so make sure you bring drinks with you.

When we came we didn’t enjoy the fact that the elevator was out of service for 3 out of the 5 days we went, and yes they reimbursed some of our money but it was such an inconvenience because we were staying on the 3rd floor. The bathroom shower didn’t have a full door so we were a bit confused.. also they didn’t have a microwave, or anywhere in the hotel to get water. Lastly when we stayed and asked for more towels they made it seem like they couldn’t give us more and there was barely anyone ever at the front desk to even ask. Besides that, our time in Miami was awesome and the surrounding area was great the beach was right across the street and they had awesome food options down the strip.

Very bad hotel, not clean, old rooms. Staff is very rude, all of them! Rooms are freezing and there’s no way to control the temperature. Elevator was not working, Valet parking was not always valet as the employees were not always there. Only good thing about it is the location. Other than that, will never go back.

The beds and pillows were a little hard, and the showers could be updated. But I would 100% return!

I like that they gave us pleanty of pleanty towels.The evening staff was not friendly nor gave us good customer service. He was not knowledgeable, about anythng.He was very sour .We asked for a fan ,he said they didnt have one,when they did.The king size bed was old ,we laid down and rolled to the middle of the bed ,it was to hot.The elevator did not work my. friend, has disabilitie with her knees .The stairs were dark .We were scared to fall and slip off of them.They did hold our luggage after cheacking out which was good.They did gave us other room but it wasnt a king size bed.Not happy.

It was beautiful except for their vallet parking. The vallet guy didnt even want us to stop in a vacant parking space to drop off our suitcase.

The hotel is located on the ocean drive strip. It has an eccentric design, the elevator build is from the esrly 1900s, I believe. It was clean and quiet.

I love staying here!! Stayed here in May and again in August. Its a beautiful old world style hotel. Beautiful tiled floors. Gorgeous furniture if you like the historic feel. Clean rooms. Amazing staff. I will be back in December

Property was perfect location to the beach and the heart of everything on Ocean Drive, excellent location and the whole vibe around it, the hotel was not what i expected, the staff other than the nice gentleman outside who patrols the entry way was great, he made the stay nice, now lets get down to the hotel in general, they ran out of towels the 2nd day there and we were told they wouldnt have any till the next day, hotel lobby was hot and i have a 3 month old who needed his bottle warm, no microwave and only 1 of the employees helped on the 1st day, after that they would heat his bottle, horrible service overall but great location if your alone solo

So I would try to give 3 stars but unless you just want amazing beach access…everything else is not so great. First I was unaware of a $200 refundable deposit. Not a deal breaker by any means but would be nice to know upfront. There’s no WiFi, you cannot control the AC to your room and the rooms are just very basic. Staff to us was friendly. However, I would not recommend any Valet services because it’s all third party.

Great location, but terrible service. I stayed 3 times in this property because of price and location, but the stress you go through is not worth it. You don’t feel welcomed , you don’t see one glimpse of smile from any member of the staff and they are not helpful at all. If they could at least make you feel welcomed, I could close my eyes to all the other details as it is an old property and I can accept that.

The location was great. Right across from the beach. Plenty of a restaurants on the ocean Drive strip. However the room was not really up to par. There was an extremely small TV. The shower was only partially closed then by one sheet of glass. No curtain or anything to close it all the way. We didn’t get any room service the entire time we were there. So I’m guessing they do it after you leave. And there is no access to a microwave so if you plan on bringing food back to the room, that’s unfortunate. The woman at the front desk was exceptional though. She made the stay better than it was by being as helpful as possible.

We stayed 4 nights the trash was never picked up and not once did housekeeping came to clean the room. The sink was backed up and I requested several of times for housekeeping. The cleanliness is terrible.

Close by the water and restaurants, which was nice….but the beds were uncomfortable and there was a “community toilet plunger” in a bag in the hallway for people to use if the toilet got plugged- super gross. There was hair in the shower when we arrived. Staff was not very friendly either.

This is a no frills hotel whose strongest feature is that it's right across the street from South Beach. It's also 10 minutes from the Convention Center. Emphasis on no frills. the Shower didn't work, the 24 inch tv didn't work, and the remote was crusty. Again, if you need a quick bed for one night so you can visit the beach or do a short tour of Miami...the price was okay.

Staff clerk and valet guy spoke English, it’s a big plus. Place is clean and nice. Area is busy and noisy. Big minus for us that car key needs to keep at front desk(if you not prepared ahead of time as we’re didn’t know it) need ask for your keys every time.

Additionally, the room was small for two adults and two teenagers. If it were just my husband and me, I might consider booking again. We also encountered an issue with the restroom, which clogged and required us to fix it ourselves. I loved that it was walking distance to the beach and restaurants. This hotel has so much potential!

Recently stayed with my friend for a birthday celebration. Location is amazing right across from the beach and around all the restaurants and bars on Collins or Washington Ave.

200 deposit when wifi barely worked you can’t control your ac so it’s hot all day ice machine way on the first floor then the elevator stop working for the last 2 days I’m on the 3rd floor had to carry my suitcase down the stairs which wasn’t easy to find I can really go on & on the hotel room itself wasn’t that bad certain staff was lazy the security the Hispanic one the only good thing they had going because he made sure people that wasn’t suppose to be there didn’t get In

Valet wouldn't take cards and upped the price $20 after the hotel already told us what the cost was. He wouldn't take the car unless I gave him the money. So we had no choice. Walls are thin and you'll hear every word from your neighbors. Shower didn't work, so had to bend over in the tub to wash our hair. The hotel is, pretty though and a great location.

Cleanliness was mediocre. Service - bad. You can't set temprature on the ac. It was chilly in the room. Elevator is just horrendous. The ocean view is nice but you can't open windows. Absolutely not suited to spend your time with family.

No elevator had to carry our bags up a set of steep tiled stairs. The door to get to the floor was so heavy some young me. Had to help us open it. There was no adjustment for the temperature so we were freezing. No blankets. Was not what I was expecting at all. Very disappointed. Loud bar or something right below our room. Very dated cracked junky tile and two lights that didn’t work. Would not recommend.

Good room, nice and right conveniently across the street from the beach and other stores around the corner. Bed wasn't that comfortable and couldn't control the air conditioner. Front desk staff was excellent.

I like the building old and original.the stafff was horrible. They didn't clean our room and the sheets have blood and hair and when we ask for clean and change the sheets they didn't. So my husband's back to the lobby at 6pm to ask again and they said that dont have any staff to do it. So they give the sheets and we changed ourselves

I stayed for 2 nights; the noise was no bad at all, but this was during weekdays, I don't know about the weekend but is the end of the street, so I am sure is not bad during the weekend either. The beach is right here, and you have the fun, the food and stores near you. I had great time. Thank you

My check in was very dismal. I have never been greated in such a dismal way, ever. The staff was not rude, just showed no emotions at all. Like no welcome, or hello. Etc. My room was fine. But the lobby bathroom was disgusting. That was the day of chexk in. I even went in there in the morning before I left, and it was the exact same. Nasty. Dirty. And strong smell of urine.

A very bad stay. The parking service is very bad. The boss in charge of parking treats people very badly. That's something that doesn't make a customer feel good. I don't recommend this hotel to anyone

AC is central and it was freezing in our room…. they said they cant do anything on that room furniture in terrible condition, room door barely closing and locking, elevator one of the worst ever seen in my life and vallet arking 40 dolars per day with the fact they give u a key and u have to take car alone which would not be a problem if we would not have full hands of luggage and it was heavy rain so we came soaked to the car

The property needs to be renovated, the rooms were clean but outdated , yes they’re trying to keep it old fashion but you can still put coffee maker in the room, microwave , also the room service forgot to do our room we left sign on the door but that’s ok all we needed is fresh towels we got them from the front desk , HK gave me fresh towels in the hallway but didn’t pick up dirty ones maybe was just miscommunication , nice people no problem , just fix the property , make it up to date.

Was surprised with additional charges when we checked in, and the internet that I paid extra for was horrible!! Persone we spoke with behind the front desk were not helpful with our request for a late check out and seemed indifferent when we complained about the internet service. Housekeeping seemed to be sliding all the furniture in the room above ours across the rough tile floors, making an unpleasant amount of noise. We also knew when the bars closed as loud conversations happened at 0430...

Cheap place to stay. Older, but cozy and clean. Great place to stay on a budget right across the ocean.

Front desk people were not welcoming, but not mean...just seem dull, like they didn't care. No smiles, but did the job. Hotel is very old and needs maintenance. But, room was very clean and I had everything I needed. So, I didn't care about getting a fancy stay. It was super convenient and valet parking was also convenient and not too bad $40 for the day and night and I could get my car at any time if I needed to. I would stay here again if it is a good price.

Hotel was prime location for the beach, food and entertainment. Only downside was the noise from the street at night. Sounded like people were in the room having conversations. Paper thin walls and windows, so not much sleep. Would stay again other than the noise. Just bring some earplugs
