Reviews
The Balfour Hotel generally receives positive reviews for its location, staff, and amenities. However, some guests have experienced issues with room comfort and cleanliness.
- Great location, close to the beach
- Friendly and accommodating staff
- Issues with room comfort (e.g., AC, shower, toilet, noise)
- Inconsistent cleanliness and maintenance

Very friendly and helpful front desk staff. Nice restaurant. Bathroom was tiny. The water pressure wasn't great and it was cramped.
- 5/5
Will definitely stay again. Staff was very helpful, friendly, professional.
- 3.5/5
Good location and nice rooms We asked for extra towels and were given bath mat towels.
- 5/5
Everything is clean and the location is good, close to the beach and not too noisy at night. The equipment in the room was old, not affected usage but you can tell the building has some age to it.
- 5/5
We loved our room as well. The hotel has a great aesthetic and the space was quite cozy. It’s clear that the building is a bit on the older side, but everything was in good repair and we had no issues. The only thing that would have made the room better was some more space for hanging up wet towels/swimsuits. The AC worked great, so our room was a comfortable temperature the whole time, although I’ll note that our AC unit was a little on the loud side. I would be remiss if I didn’t give a shoutout to the hotel restaurant and the staff there as well - we are there 2/3 nights and enjoyed delicious food, amazing service, and the incredible atmosphere. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay at the Balfour and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a reasonably priced but comprehensive hotel experience. Thank you to the kind and diligent staff there who made our experience so great!

Staff members were very patient despite the fact that the hotel was flooded with models for a swimsuit contest

Excellent stay and convenient to ocean drive main area. Beach access. Price is decent as well.

The property is located very close to the beach. The staff is friendly and it’s quiet. The rooms are a nice size but a bit dark especially because the room didn’t have a privacy shade forcing you to open the curtain and there was no privacy at all

My new go to hotel in Miami south beach. Charming. Comfortable. 5 Walk to beach with chairs, umbrella and comfy towels. Walk to great restaurants. Quiet. Love love love.

* Check-in is very easy and smooth — complete the formalities online beforehand and simply collect your key card upon arrival. * The beach is a hop skip and jump from the hotel, and having access to beach chairs and umbrellas (Estebans Place) is a huge bonus. You also get 2 hours free if you use their in house bike facility. * I appreciated the availability of filtered water stations so guests can refill their bottles and avoid using plastic bottles. * The in-room coffee was great, and the eco-friendly shower products were high quality. * The food was genuinely very good. We tried the chicken sandwich, burger, moutabel with pita bread, and the watermelon feta salad — all were delicious. * The hotel is within walking distance to a nearby bodega (La Playa), which was convenient for picking up daily supplies and more affordable food options- Miami is expensive and it may not be ideal to eat out for every meal. * Our room on the 3rd floor smelled musty and damp throughout the stay. Upon check-in, the bathroom floor was dirty, there was hair rolled up in a corner, and there were stains on the bed linen. * Housekeeping seemed very minimal — mostly just making the bed, replacing towels, and refreshing the coffee station. Floors and bathrooms were not at all cleaned, toiletries were not checked or refilled if empty, and on our last day the room wasn’t serviced at all. * Having a kettle in the room would be helpful, especially for guests who do not drink coffee and may simply want hot water. * There are no wall hooks anywhere to hang wet towels or clothing. * While the bathroom itself is spacious, the sink is extremely small and the shelf above it protrudes awkwardly, making it very easy to bump your head while washing your face. There’s also very limited space for personal toiletries and no mirror in the main room. * The walls are thin and you can hear movement and peoples conversations. This has been the case in every room we have stayed * The biggest issue happened during checkout. I discovered that in addition to the daily deposit hold, I had also been charged again for the full stay due to what was described as a “system mess up,” despite already paying in advance before arriving in Miami. I was not informed about this at check-in. The front desk response felt very nonchalant, no apology was offered, and I was simply told the charge would be refunded with a handwritten note. I’m still waiting for this to be rectified. * The hotel has charm and the renovated lobby area looks lovely, but our room specifically felt quite outdated. My previous stay here was much better, largely because of the room type we had. This time, the damp walls and musty environment were concerning, especially because mold is a health concern for me.

Love that the hotel is on the quieter side of ocean drive with an entrance to the boardwalk/ beach across the street. The one hour free bike rental was great along with complementary beach towels, chairs, umbrellas (already on the beach). Complementary drink upon arrival.

I loved the space, I went for our anniversary, and the vibe was romantic and chill. I also loved that the chaos of loads of restaurants was just a street away.

My room was not clean at all. it looked good online but it was not that. the bed was clean but that was it. the bathroom was the worst, the sink had rust and there shower had gnats which was so disgusting: i only used the shower once my stay because i couldn’t deal with it. The room was dirty and not wiped down. they have drinks and snacks in a mini bar in the room, but they were dirty like they had been sitting a while. the counter of the bar was also not wiped down, they definitely need to up their cleanliness of the rooms. I would NOT recommend staying here! There are way better hotels in miami beach to take your money.

Room was small and that was after the upgrade we paid for. Loved the old school Miami vibes it had going. Definitely no beach view like it’s advertised. But only a five min walk to the beach so wasn’t that bad. Shower had mold in the sealant grout. For what they charge for per night thought there would be more or the staff would be more friendly. Bartender didn’t even acknowledge us. We sat at the bar for 10 mins and left. And walked a block away and had excellent service. The best part about stay was breakfast server. She was lovely. You can hear everything. People coming in all hours of the night. People above you. Next to you. No sound barrow at all. Kinda sad for what they charge.

We booked because we liked the location next to Miami beach, as it was a 1-block walk to the beach. The hotel is a quaint offering, some uniqueness to the hotel as it looks antiquated. Appearance was nice inside and out. They have a bar with unique drinks and house beers, not offering any other beer than that. But, the beer was good nonetheless. The bathroom was pretty unique, as the shower and the main floor was one without a curb. It all flowed to the drain. Something you would like in your own house. There was also a small grocery market to grab food for the beach, and a popular restaurant (Big Pink) that were both within walking distance. The room that we stayed in had a known problem with the bathroom sink, where the mount was coming off of the wall. Also, not enough shelving or counter space (no counter at all) in the bathroom for toiletries. The bed and pillows were not as comfortable as desired. Even though most of the hotels in the area were high priced because of location to the beach, this was a bit overpriced.

Great hotel in a perfect location!
- 4.5/5
Great location, close but not in the noisy tourist section. The Superior Suite is a good size for Miami Beach, comfortable bed, clean, nice hotel, good staff - and only a few steps to the beach. Valet can take a while to bring the car. Room is sealed, so have to use air conditioning.

Very nice place to stay. Quick was to the beach and a nice welcome when you check in.
- 5/5
Everyone was more than accomadating , as a solo traveler I felt safe. This location is close to everything and just a 2 min walk to the beach. Rooms were clean , hot water and ac working just fine. Housekeeping visited everyday and were kind and welcoming.

The Balfour Hotel was exceptional and I like smaller hotels so this was better than I expected. The room was clean and the staff was nice. The beach is not too far from the hotel and it’s in a great location close to restaurants and shopping. Highly recommend and will gladly return.

Our room had multiple problems. The fridge did not work for two days and was leaking water all over the room. We told the front desk, but nothing was fixed right away. Then we found a cockroach in the room, which is unacceptable, especially because we had a baby with us. The room did not feel clean or safe. At checkout, the general manager told us we would get a refund for two nights. Later, Orbitz told us the hotel declined the refund. This is very unprofessional and misleading!! Totally disrespectful and unacceptable.
- 4/5
Staff were friendly. The hotel is on Ocean drive but on the quiet side. The pool is very small but we enjoyed the porch for lounging and drinks. Overall a decent place to stay for a fairly reasonable price. You have to walk a ways for restaurants but walking is something our family enjoys so it was expected. The beach is easily accessible but the hotel is not right on the beach.

Great location. The “swimming pool” is smaller than a bathtub. Elevator was broken during my entire stay (5 days) and no one had the curtesy to let me know beforehand even though I have a baby.

We enjoyed our stay but you should know there is a 45$ a night resort fee and added taxes added for each night. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The pool is more of a jacuzzi than a pool but we still enjoyed it. It is in a great quiet spot about two blocks away from the very busy ocean blvd that has all of the night life. The valet parking is $48 a day if you need to park your car and it’s not on the premises. They take your car and drive it to a garage. My husband found parking 3 block away for $30 a day. The room is small but clean. We had a great time. The hotel right next door had the best brunch in Miami so that was a big plus. We had the lobster eggs Benedict. The local I think it’s called. The Versace house that is a restaurant was amazing and only a few blocks away as well as the Milano. We ate at both places twice! Good luck.

The room itself was nice and spacious with nice windows for light. The bed was very comfortable. The location was nice. We liked that we could easily take the stairs when we didn't have our bags. We've stayed at Hotel Breakwater for a similar price before, and I'd choose Balfour over that every time. The bathroom is way too small for comfort. The shower didn't drain well. The "free welcome drink" is only good for beer/wine. We attempted to get a table for a drink and some food the first day, but ended up waiting too long and went elsewhere.

I liked to location and how clean the rooms were everyday. I didn't feel the front desk was as friendly and open as it should. I also felt the access to beach towels were a bit off. The front desk gave me bath towels instead of a beach towel the first day. I also didn't feel safe with security as the elevators or front of the hotel did not require any hotel id to get in so anyone is able to roam in without proof.

Excellent location in Sout Beach within walking distance to the ocean, restaurants and stores. Hidden gem.
- 3.5/5
Staff was unwelcoming and made us feel like we were bothering them. We got a room with black mold in the ceiling and we couldn't get another room until the day after because there were no rooms available and the next day they kept telling us to come back later and were not proactive about it at all.

Great location! Really nice hotel. Very clean, staff is friendly. The restaurant Laurel has great food. My friends and I really enjoyed our stay. Would definitely recommend!

Exceptionally average overall. Stayed on 4th floor and elevator was broken the entire time.
- 5/5
Close to the ocean , private beach chairs , walking up distance to everywhere Smallest bathroom I’ve been in .. I’m 6’5 had to stand to side to shower cuz I was taller than shower head
- 1/5
Picture are very deceiving! Bed was comfortable and that’s it. Dirty carpeting, unwelcoming front desk, elevator not working, scuffed wood surfaces in room. I was guaranteed a low floor room by Phone and was told they would block it out for me. No one knew of it when I checked in!! The staff was no help in navigating the city. Often no one at the desk. They removed my belongings BEFORE I checked out!! Stay away!!

You're paying for the location and not a great hotel. And the staff didn't seem overly concerned about impressing their customers in any way. Case in point, we arrived a little before 9pm and went down to the bar for a drink. The bartender said he decided to close early, apparently at his discretion, because he hadn't had a customer in the last 45 minutes. Problem was, there was a lady sitting there when we walked in 20 minutes earlier and another lady was sitting, drinking, right then. I think he just wanted to go home. There were other examples of this attitude as well. And good luck finding the valet. You'll understand this comment if you stay there.

The staff is fabulous, super attentive and nice and accommodating. It’s actually really a fabulous hotel. I feel like it’s the best kept secret in Miami Beach. It’s a little out of the way in a little bit of a quiet area, which is just so nice. If you like being in the middle of all the action, I wouldn’t stay there but if you want things a little quiet, I just think it’s so lovely there.

This hotel was fantastic despite some of the negative reviews. I made sure to request a renovated room which was modern and spacious. Reserved a Superior Room, to make sure we'll be comfortable. Instead, had to stay in a dark room, with broken lights, asking for table lamps to be brought in. Couldn't sleep all night, due to a broken bed. View of "Superior room was to the Trash bins. When calling front desk waited 20 mins for someone to pick up asked for a Manager, and was told they're very busy now.... Checked out and RAN. With a back pain and horrible experience, we weren't offered a refund, and not even a cup of water....

Check in staff was very nice. Check out staff was on her cell phone I was trying to call the front for 10 minutes when I went down she was on her cell on a personal call. The room did smell like mildew/mold but it’s an old hotel by the water. It was very clean just have the right expectations, it’s very old near the water so it will be mildewy the bathroom is TINY , no full length mirror anywhere . Nowhere to buy water after the bar closes only from the mini bar for $8.00. I chose it because I had to go for business and hotel rooms were limited . I wouldn’t go back. Also tried to get check in and check out to help me get my Wyndham rewards and neither could they just shrugged me off .

Staff was wonderful - we got off a cruise and had planned to enjoy the day in Miami but the rain crimped our plans. Staff stored our luggage and was so kind as we lounged around the hotel waiting for the rain to stop. We did pay $30 for beach chairs after the rain and found out later we could have got them free - that would have been good to know upfront! Light in the bathroom flickered off and on quite a bit or would just shut off (room 421) but nothing we couldn't deal with. Bed was comfy and we enjoyed a long nap once we got in!

Room was clean everyday, the front desk team was amazing. I couldn’t control the heat of the room first two days I slept in cold bc I couldn’t control it. I called for help they came in and said that if I turned it on then all theee rooms get heat which was super weird. Plus the lady the tall skinny one at the restaurant had an incredibly nasty attitude. Esp when it came to not tipping extra. The guys were great.

Stayed for about 15 hrs. So, it was fine and less expensive than many of the other newer and nicer properties. The common areas were fine-good. Our room was dark and musty. Because of the mustiness, everything felt dirty. Could not open a window and the HVAC was not functioning as it should. Since we were only there for a quick overnight, didn’t seem like it was worth switching rooms or complaining.

The property is within walking distance to pretty much everything you would need. Food, souvenirs, the beach, landmarks, Walgreen's/CVS, pretty much everything. The staff is helpful and you get a lot of perks just for staying there. Daily umbrella and chairs on a private beach, credits toward bike rentals, and other stuff that we didn't use but sounded pretty good. The rooms are decent with comfortable beds and good features. The rooftop view was fair and nice to hang out on in the evenings. It was a little complicated to connect to the wifi, but it was there and was good when you got connected. There was a hot tub/pool thing that was cute, but kind of small. But the beach is right there, so... The restaurant was a little pricey and the food was mid, but you don't have to eat there so just go somewhere else. There are a lot of restaurants that are within walking distance anyways.

Now to the negatives: The breakfast was a joke: one scrambled egg, strip of beakon and a few potatoes + drip coffee. A la cart style - which means it takes the staff 20 minutes to deliver this order to you and they manage to get it wrong 2 our of 3 times even though the menu literally has 5 items. The service in general is mediocre at best. Maria at the bar, who welcomed us on our first day was an exception - fantastic service and great care. Besides her the general vibe was that the property is severely understaffed (one person front of the house on bar and service and one back) and the few staff members who are there really can't care less. Orders are routinely mixed, bills routinely mispriced, staff don't know what's available and what isn't etc. Also, the restaurant is closed for dinner service 2 nights a week and closes early (9:45pm) the other nights. There are no views from the rooms as the hotel is boxed between buildings, the pool is tiny, cold and barely gets sun.

We did meet one pleasant person the lady who checked us in. We booked 2 nights despite leaving after 1 night , we just didn’t want to ask for a late checkout. Left the hotel at 6 pm but still we were charged over $50 for each night. No atmosphere, food I saw someone served looked awful. Not sure how this hotel is newly refurbed because it was ok but maybe not the best of finishes. Also the safe was sat under the bar in the room with no way to open the safe. When I pointed this out I was told I should have asked them to move it. Clearly that’s where there safe is positioned & I was not about to alert a hotel we needed a safe , this hotel was shabby at best poorly run for sure Go elsewhere

Check in was fine. The staff are very nice. We stayed in room 401. It was hot in the room. Even though ac was set at 65 it was maybe 75+ in the room. We tried to eat leftovers in the lobby but weren’t allowed to bc the entire lobby and front and back patio apparently belong to the restaurant. So we were told we can eat in our room or on the rooftop. It is pretty expensive for what you get and a 45$ resort fee. We were given a late checkout til 12 which was nice.

There were no bulbs in the bedside lamps and the bathroom door looked like it was in a fight. It was also a very small bathroom with poor water pressure. We were not informed about the “resort charges” which basically added another 50 dollars per night for amenities we didn’t use - it is not a resort. The charges are in the fine print of your hotels.com booking and the receptionist didn’t highlight these to us until we checked out. We should’ve looked but it was very late however I think hotels.com also need to include in their cost/price

Beautiful décor, comfortable rooms, and a peaceful location on Ocean Drive with easy access to the beach and a nice beach lounge. I’ll definitely be back — though I wouldn’t include breakfast next time, as the menu is quite limited and overpriced for what’s offered.

I would have given this an excellent review if the mildew smell wasn’t so bad because everything else was fantastic, but I walked away with a sore throat and potential allergy reaction from all of the mold. I stayed in the older side of the hotel not the newer separate building where the plunge pool is at The staff was friendly and helpful. The bar at Cleo‘s was fantastic. We loved the welcome drinks, enjoyed the nice beach chairs, and umbrella, and large, oversized pool towel towels. The ambience was amazing as well.

The hotel itself has a distinctive charm: intimate and stylish, with a boutique character that feels curated rather than manufactured. Its design captures the essence of Miami - playful, elegant, and unmistakably local. Most memorable, though, is the staff... Their attentiveness and genuine warmth create an atmosphere that feels less like a hotel stay and more like being welcomed into a gracious home. The place is a gem and we look forward to coming back soon!

Staff were really welcoming friendly and remembered us each time we went to the front. Loved the AC in the room! Pool was cute but it did get hot but that is because of the sun. Only critic is the wait for the car sometimes was long, our TV didn’t share screen bc new system didn’t work and our hotel phone was offline. If I go back to Miami, I’d stay there again though, perfect spot, not right by all the loud excitement so we had peace and quiet but close enough to walk to excitement.

The Balfour Hotel was the perfect oasis for my 30th birthday celebration. I booked several queen double rooms and was very pleased by the spaciousness, cleanliness, and comfort! The bathrooms were a little tight for a group of 4 per room, but it was manageable and we had more than enough towels. I especially appreciated the beach towel, chair, and umbrella services! All the staff were great and made us feel welcome. The location is awesome!

Very close to the beach, sunbeds included in the price of the room. Very expensive parking close to the hotel. No noise from a street. the staff was horrible. We paid for breakfast but no one told us that it included only a toast and fruits - they agree to change it to salad once - they still owe us money for breakfast. They just lied - otherwise it would be great hotel.

Great location, easy valet parking, very pretty ambiance. The tropical atrium and upper-level pool with a glass viewing wall are lovely. The beach is basically across the street and hotel guests have access to beach lounge chairs and umbrellas, which is great. Some of the staff were very really friendly (the afternoon and evening crew); others not so much. Overall I’m very happy with the Expedia VIP perks and the Expedia service. However, I just noticed a hefty charge on my credit card from the Balfour Hotel that’s more than expected for parking plus whatever fees they must have charged separately from my Expedia booking payment. If those extra charges aren’t reversed, then I’ll be pretty disappointed in the total cost of this stay. So if you’re considering this hotel, be aware of potential fees added on. Otherwise, I completely recommend this hotel for a South Beach getaway.

excellent location, walking distance to the beach and dining. also walking distance to art deco area. Small pool but water is warm.

I've been coming here for a number of years so I've went thru the multiple changes it gone thru over the time. The checkout process was simple and straightforward as service at the front desk is actually 24hrs. The gentleman there helped me logout around 4AM to get our ride to the airport so they're very responsive and courteous overall. To be unbiased, I have to share a small negative. I wish there was more food options on their menu for breakfast & dinner. But other than that it's all good. Will be back again soon!

I ordered a burger and fries, which was prepared in approximately 15-20 minutes. However, instead of promptly serving my meal, Thomas covered it and allowed it to sit behind the bar counter for an additional 15 minutes while he prioritized other guests who arrived at the bar after me. As a paying guest at the hotel, I expect to receive my food fresh, just like everyone else. Instead, I was served food that had gone cold due to unnecessary delays. Additionally, I ordered a margarita, which Thomas assured me he would prepare. However, instead of making my drink which simply required dispensing from the margarita machine he proceeded to take and mix several other drink orders for new customers at the bar. Despite my patience, I felt disregarded. When I finally voiced my concerns stating that I’m a customer and I should be treated as such, his response was completely unacceptable he stated, verbatim, that he did not give a f*** who I was. This level of unprofessionalism is appalling. One of his coworkers attempted to de-escalate the situation by explaining that they were short-staffed, which I understand however there were multiple hanging out. That does not justify leaving my food sitting on the counter for 15 minutes while others were served promptly. Never again!

- 5/5
The hotel and the rooms are really clean even if it's a old building. The rooms are small but it's not really important when you spend most of your time outside and on the beach.
- 5/5
Great hotel in a wonderful location, everything you need within a few blocks and all set on Ocean Drive. Location is nice as it's quiet but with a couple of minutes you are in the madness of South Beach and Ocean Drive. Only downside side are the extra resort fees ($42pn) and Valet parking ($42pn).
- 5/5
The staff was great and the room was super cute.
- 3/5
The door was broken and we were not informed of it prior to our arrival. They delayed our check in process trying to fix it but never did
- 5/5
Small, neat and tidy. Very close to the beach with seating and umbrellas. Walkable to food and all of Ocean Dr. Perfect for everything we did in Miami Beach.
- 5/5
I am very happy with our stay. This hotel has plenty of perks like a bar/restaurant, Very close access to the beach, umbrella and chairs on the beach (with the resort fee), beach towels, and water in the lobby. We didn’t use the pool but it was a little smaller than I expected. The rooftop patio was nice at night. The front desk was very nice and helpful. Only cons we had was the elevator was very small, luckily the steps were conveniently located right beside the elevator and easy to take to get to your floor. The blinds in our room didn’t really work but we figured it out. The bathroom was a little small but our king bedroom was actually larger than i thought. I would stay here again! It was definitely a more quiet part of the beach but a quick walk to the more icon parts of ocean drive.
- 5/5
Bruno was excellent. Meeting us at the curb. Carrying bags. Very friendly and accomodating.

and very noisy construction work in the middle of the day which should have been warned about.
- 3/5
This hotel is just ok. The good things are that the room is quiet, it's a block to the beach, and in a great neighborhood. The bad part is that the room was an old, concrete box. Small, cramped and claustrophobic. Luckily, we had beautiful weather and so only had to be in the room to sleep.
- 5/5
The highlight of my stay was being served breakfast by Franchesca. She was friendly and very quick. Lovely girl. The hotel can make some easy improvements like having cups next to the chilled water container. Out of 4 days there were only cups once. Waiting for someone to notice to and give you a glass took forever. Carpets in hallways need cleaning. However the staff was friendly.
- 5/5
Small hotel. Just enough away from the louder areas of South Beach
- 5/5
The staff at the front desk were just lovely. I could tell that they were always looking to make sure that we had what we needed and and were available to us at any time. I was really surprised by the restaurant the food was lovely it was a beautiful breakfast/brunch. I would definitely come back and stay in this hotel again.
- 3/5
Location was great. Short walk on Ocean Drive to cool bars, restaurants and shopping. A classic Miami Beach vibe. The hotel itself is quite dated and in need of a refurbishment. The carpets are stained and the lobby/check-in seems random and sparse. Seemed like a card table with a laptop on it. The room is small, but reasonably clean. The lighting is confusing and inadequate. No safe. The bathroom is tiny. Walls are thin and you can certainly hear your neighbors. Staff are cheerful and bartenders friendly. But you need to ask about discounts etc that are part of the purchase. So don’t be shy.
- 3/5

Place was central and funky. Staff were over the top amazing. Friendly and super helpful

The property is just what you would expect for this area, the room was small but as are most rooms on this area. We really liked how quiet it was yet close to all the action and the walk to the beach was so easy and great amenities to have two chairs and an umbrella included in the room rental. Staff was so kind!

Good location. Both Room and bathroom are very small.
- 2/5
There was no free parking. I had to pay $50 per night for parking. There was no microwave in the room. Toilet sink was really small. Room was bit congested

Coffee machine was awesome. We really liked the ability to use chaises and umbrella at the beach. The amenities were supposed to include a cocktail… instead we got a 3oz pour of cheap Prosecco.

We loved the bunk bed alcove for our kids!

Floora in hallways had trash on them and many stains on carpet. Bedroom was small. Bathroom even smaller. Bed creeked a lot. Heat didn't go above 60 degrees so we were cold during our winter stay. Won't be coming back.

Not ideal

The staff were shockingly rude. When we politely raised our concerns about the condition of the room, their response was, “No one is kept hostage here. You can leave the hotel whenever you want.” This suggests they are accustomed to complaints and have a standard dismissive reply, which is unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one charging such exorbitant rates. For a price comparable to the city’s finest 5-star accommodations, this hotel is nothing short of a scam. The cleanliness was appalling, and the level of customer service was the worst I’ve ever encountered. This property should be classified as a motel and adjust its rates accordingly. The images advertised are highly misleading and do not reflect reality. I documented all the issues mentioned and would have attached the photos if this platform allowed it. Avoid this accommodation at all costs—it can truly ruin your trip.

The hotel have the safe sitting on top of the mini fridge right in front of the door where u can pick it up under the arms on walk right out with it . I got the junior suite wasnt worth the price I paid

Very cute boutique hotel. Quick walk to the beach. I would definitely stay here again!

They charge an exorbitant resort fee and calling this a “resort” is a huge stretch of the imagination. This is basically a Motel 6 on South Beach.

The property is 2 min walk away from the beach. There is a area with chairs and umberellas for the hotel guests. Staff were very friendly. My room was very clean and renovated. There is a very small pool that you can use. They will also give you bikes to use. There is a area on the roof with loungers that you can chill . My only issue was that I wasn't getting proper wifi signal in my room. It was a bit slow but it was still working. If you're looking to have a relaxing stay, this hotel is for you. It is around 10 min walk from the busy restaurants and crowd. I had an amazing time staying here . Not a party hotel so it's perfect for people who want to do some work or families.

Great experience, beautiful property and helpful staff

Location and beach access was the highlight. Our room was decent, but the hotel itself needs some tlc. The pool area and outdoor lounge areas were very underwhelming. The vibe of the hotel wasn’t great.

Staff were exceptional and very attentive

The staff was amazing, property was clean, restaurant was delicious, loved the extra amenities included, such as beach chairs/umbrellas and bicycles to ride around Miami Beach.

However, by far my biggest issue with this hotel is the misleading and frankly dishonest advertising of the "free day pass" use of the local Equinox. This is nothing short of a timeshare-level scam. Firstly, I received only one day pass for my 3-night stay, therefore guaranteeing at most a single day of workout. Secondly, when I arrived at the location for my workout, the experience was anything but pleasant. After going through the lengthy check in process, the staff told me, "Ok, enjoy your workout." Then, as I'm walking to the workout area, I hear: "Oh, actually, I forgot. You have to have a meeting with a membership coordinator before you can work out. Is that okay with you?" "It doesn't sound like I have a choice." "It can be as long as you like. 5 seconds or 30 minutes." So I meet the coordinator, shake his hand, say "thank you" and go to my workout. That's what they told me. He then follows me through the gym and becomes confrontational. "Actually this is a thing we're doing with the hotel and you have to meet with me."

Our flight into Miami was delayed and the hotel was very accommodating!

The hotel had some really cool aspects to it. The elevator is so cool, the outdoor area is beautiful!!! I don’t know why the foyer to the newer sides has such a STRONG pet odor? But it’s really bad. They’ve tried to cover it up, but please ya’ll get some ozone machines in there! The elevator in the newer area also smells REALLY bad. Pool area is as nice, but the size of the pool means it was actually VERY WARM, not refreshing at all. It was pretty, but HOT. The upgraded room we got was nice. Lack of lighting made it hard to see at night when trying to find things in luggage. However we couldn’t figure out how to turn off a light in the bathroom that bothered my husband all night. I slept fine. Room was clean. Door did not seal properly, so noise was definitely an issue, and it made me concerned about rodents and bugs being able to get through the cracks. I really enjoy supporting boutique hotels if possible, I’d give this one a 4/10 overall. But William’s service 10/10. You have to Valet park for $45/night. Which I think is steep given the hotel isn’t that nice. There is street parking available metered but it would be more than $45. So we got to spend $45.

Excellent

The hotels.com status serves no purpose at this hotel. A request for a late checkout was granted with lots of commentary. I was Granted one more hour. I ended up leaving before checkout time as i did not feel the goodwill but the commentary.

Average property. Some good, some not so good

Great location south of 5th within walking distance of the beach and many great bars and restaurants. All of the staff were fantastic from the efficient and friendly checkin by William to the bar staff who were chatty and helpful the happy hour here was also great with plenty of choice for both drinks and snacks. Should I return to Miami Beach this hotel will be top of my list

Construction on rooftop starts every morning 9:30am during my stay, very loud and unbearable. So there is no way to stay in bed late. In Miami I am actually on my vacation, but I woke up early everyday. Did not complain this to the manager of the hotel, cuz the staffs here are welcoming and friendly, and this is not something that they can decide. But will not consider to stay here again for next visit.

Keep in mind, this is an 80 year old building. Not a Hilton from 2018. The setting, the staff, the location and the history, made this one of the most unique hotel stay I’ve ever experienced. I will definitely be back!!!

all the staff were so kind!!! it was super clean and close to everything!!

Very nice stay. Would recommend. Quiet, clean and comfortable. Right near the beach and everything.

Nice place, close by everything u need.

The room was incredible. I was nervous about bunk beds for my adult friends, but they were full size and had privacy curtains. The beach is only a 5 minute walk from the property. Navi at the front desk was WONDERFUL! She was super informative and made us feel like VIPs. Highly recommend this historic hotel!

Very unique property in the heart of South Beach. Parking is not inexpensive though. Beyond that a very nice unique hotel.

It was a nice stay and the bar tenders were great. The hotel and rooms were a cute boutique style. However, our ac went out at about 3:30 am one night. In Miami in the summer time this is absolutely miserable. The toilet kept running every night and we kept having to fix it. Other than that, the location and stay was good.
