    I was very impressed with the Andaz. I didn’t book/choose the property myself, as I was traveling with a group of girlfriends, so was curious to see what I was in for, particularly as I have stayed at probably a dozen of the best properties along Collins Avenue… I loved the Andaz! It was spotlessly-clean, the staff was friendly and professional (particularly accommodating with several changes to my plans/reservation after one of the girls had to bail last minute), the property was conveniently-located to all else, and rooms were spacious and well-appointed. I will be back!

    My room was stunning and bed was super comfortable. I rated the hotel a bit lower because I had a rough experience. My room wasn’t ready until 6 pm so I missed by evening plans after a long day of travel. The staff was accommodating- They fed me and provided an additional credit to compensate me for the inconvenience. Food service at the beach was quite slow and I ended up getting food poising later that night. They did an investigation into what the cause could be and provided me some spring waters. If I chose to stay here again, I would probably just not order food at the beach and call ahead to ensure my room is ready before I arrive. Again, I really loved my room, but my experience was unfortunately tainted by a few experiences.

    Very clean and close to everything. Staff was super nice and always helpful. beds were super comfortable. Overall, it was just beautiful.! The only thing I didn’t like was in your room they have a lot of items that you can purchase. Things like M&Ms peanuts, alcohol, and several other things. We didn’t use any of that stuff, but I noticed that a peanut butter cup was not in there and it was on the menu price card that was in the drawer. I decided not to say anything about it, but I thought what if I get charged for this?? Well I did! It was only seven dollars and some change but still I feel like that is a little unfair.

    Very quaint boutique hotel with great amenities- really enjoyed the towel service by the private beach beds and the fitness center on the upper level. Very pleasant decor and overall ambiance. Would most certainly stay here again on our next visit.

    Really lovely upgrade from the Confidant hotel to the Andaz. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful in every way. Room was clean and spacious and loved the beach and pool service as well. Take a yoga or pilates class on the roof if you can - the view is amazing!

    The staff are the highlight of the hotel. Their friendly smiles from the moment you arrive make you feel very welcome. The service to the client is impressive. The king room is really small…so small that there is no wardrobe or drawers for your clothes. Don’t get me wrong the bed was comfortable the room was stylish and clean, but for 502 euros a night….i would expect somewhere to put my clothes and for there to be a safety box. I was only staying for one night so didn’t make a fuss but for anyone staying any longer this is definitely not the room for you.

    Wow wow wow! Amazing hotel. We have stayed here when it was the Confidante and this is a great update on it:) Beautiful comfy outdoor seating, lovely rooms and byredo in the showers. What else do you need? The beach was great as was the pool. We ate at the wonderful Aguascalientes. Everything is thought out. Beautiful!

    Overall really nice, great staff. My only complaints are that for two consecutive days they closed the adult pool area due to a private party, but they still charged the daily amenities/resort fee. Also, one of the two elevators was broken for three days and the wait times were so long that guests were choosing to go up 5-to-11 flights of stairs. Perhaps the elevator problem isn't anyone's fault, but finding the better pool area closed early (twice) for a party was frustrating. Both days the party was eventually cancelled due to wind/rain, but during the time it would have been open (without a party), the weather was fine, so we lost out on the awesome pool R&R for no good reason. If they want to book parties there, the set up should begin after the normal pool area closing time.

    Beach view room was a side view of the neighboring hotels trash cans. Can barely see the beach from this side. There is no lobby area or places to relax. Very cramped and pictures on website make it appear much larger than it is. No hot tubs and housekeeping was rude. Definitely better places to stay along this stretch.

    A lot of positives but this is not a true 5 star experience in its current state, particularly on the aspects of cleanliness and service. The room itself was very nice, renovated, clean, and the bed was super comfortable. However, the common bathrooms in the lobby and near pool are quite rundown and smelled terribly which immediately dampened the experience. They also still need to work out kinks with check-in process, knowledge of staff on property / check in process, the speed, organization and quality of the beach service, and general customer service and attentiveness to guests. Overall it’s nice place but if you’re looking for a true 5 star hotel experience on these aspects; would keep in mind.

    the property is very underwhelming in all aspects...I normally stay at the EDITION and I decided to try something new.. big mistake. There is a small lobby, the ceilings are very low and it seems u r in a tunnel. the rooms are good.. even if I choose a suite ocean vista and didn't say that was a partial view anywhere in the add, quite disappointing.

    The hotel is lovely. The restaurants and pool area are very nice. The issue I had was with staff entering my room when I had the "PRIVACY" sign on when I wasn't in the room. I have brought the issue up with the management and they have assured me they will address it and get back to me; however, I never heard back.

    - There were construction and drilling noises during our stay that disrupted any sense of peaceful environment, both in the room and the pool area, not sure from where. - cleaning staff disrupted our sleep during late afternoon even though they had already cleaned the room in the morning - Room is on the smaller side in size - they did not have the courtesy to extend our checkout by even one hour - Hotel layout is confusing Elevators are small and can be crowded and slow. - In no way is this a 5 star property or service.     Pros: -Good breakfast -Beach access -Delicious cocktails at Bar Centro -Comfortable spa though amenities are limited Cons: -More service hiccups than I’d expect at a 5 star e.g. had to wave down someone for lunch on the beach, called room service 5-6 times with no answer, slow check in, wasn’t offered a welcome drink and observed someone else receive one, received free drink voucher at check in but the dates were for when I wasn’t at the hotel, no help with my luggage at arrival or departure -Small room that wasn’t anywhere near pristine. There were hairs on the towels and walls. I had a strobe light effect coming from the bathroom at night. Confirmed the room was renovated but still looked dated. Overall I was disappointed. I read reviews about service issues from several months ago, but chose to believe that surely those would be resolved by now because why wouldn’t they be, but alas- no such luck. I’ve loved other Andaz properties but can’t recommend this one. Stop in for a drink though.

    The hotel was exceptional for an adult vacation. I don't think I'd recommend it for families. There are two pools: one adult, and one for families. The pool is perfect for adults; I feel the family pool is a bit small for families. The staff went above and beyond to make our vacation amazing. The restaurant, food, and drinks were excellent, and the concierge had great recommendations for restaurants outside the hotel. The spa was top-notch, a bit pricey, though. The gym had great equipment and had a selection of classes. The location was perfect. There is a great walkway in between the hotel and the beach, and went for miles. The beach staff worked hard to lay out chairs and umbrellas, and were always available to help. I would highly recommend this hotel.

    One good manager named Hunter tried to make it right All the rest were angry bitter that they had to work and forgot the basics of hospitality. Snippy, whiny attitudes across several encounters. Also; the rooms are LOUD due to hallway noise even if you are far from the elevator I would suggest any other hotel at same price range over this. Will not be back. We love Andaz in Scottsdale etc.

    Housekeeping was inconsistent. Didnt clean our room 1 day. My husband and I paid for 3 rooms for our family and they gave one of our children a huge suite and we had a tiny room with very small bathroom. They wouldn’t move us.

    From check in to check out, NOTHING about this hotel is 5 star. Save your money. The front desk laughed about me using an IHG credit card at check in. I would choose IHG over Hyatt any day. I wasn’t able to check in until 5:30pm when check in is 4pm. Unacceptable. When the room was ready they just handed the keys to us, no overview of the hotel, restaurants, nothing. We didn’t even know how to get to the elevators to take us to our room. Horrible service at the pool. The employees don’t even acknowledge your presence. Food overall was terrible. At check out, no one asked how our stay was. I could go on and on. I normally stay at the Four Seasons Surfside and I will be back there.

    A maintenance crew was working right outside my window during the night and well past 1am. They were welding and hammering metal sheets and talking loudly. I called the property manager 5 times and they kept saying that they cannot ask the crew to stop working even though it was almost 1am. When I tried speaking to the crew they said I should speak to the property manager. The work wouldn’t stop and I was only given the option to change rooms at 1am. I do NOT recommend that anyone stay at this property. They do not care about their guests.

    Beautiful resort, pool is nice and the beach is gorgeous. The pool and beach staff is wonderful, but the check in and check out staff and experience was one of the worst ever. When we got to the hotel the check in person seemed to not care less if we were guests or not, no greeting and no overview of the facilities. We learned today at check out there were bikes we could use. Also, before checkout someone came into our room to check the mini bar for usage which typically is done daily or after you checkout -it was odd. I don’t want to take away from the staff because they were all great outside of check in and check out

    Meh. The room was nicely renovated. Bathroom nice. Suite was a bit disjointed in that the balcony is in the bedroom, the living room is a weird uncomfortable couch facing a large TV. Balcony ocean view was worth it. The pools and gym were ok. Need many more plants. Great beach and beach service. Despite housekeeping planting out in the hallways at all times we had issues getting room cleaned. Location fairly busy right next to the causeway.

    1 - we had 2 rooms in front of the cleaning crew quarters. this meant every morning at 8am the doors would start slamming, the cleaning ladies would start talking loudly… it was a disaster in the morning. Like paying $600 a night x 2 to be woken up by a drill sergeant! Not again !!! 2 - minor complaint, they lost our order at the pool but did try to make up for it

    Paid for an Ocean Terrace Suite and got a suite with a balcony that looks at a wall. Asked to change rooms and they wouldn't because it would be a upgrade...which would cost me an additional $300 a night. Do not recommend.

    We had the skyline loft and it was a very clean, spacious and modern room. It felt very cosy like a small apartment. The only thing that I didn’t enjoy was the wait for the elevators. We did visit NYE weekend so the hotel was very busy, causing the elevators to take a long time to arrive when requested. Also, the motion sensor lights in the bathroom were slightly annoying as the lights would constantly go out in the middle of showering despite movement in the shower. A hack I figured out was just opening the shower door occasionally but that kind of interrupted the shower and made it less enjoyable.

    Beautiful, modern hotel with beautiful ocean views. However, I would definitely not stay here again during Art Basel, the traffic in this area at that time was insane! Took an hour to get an Uber, if you could get one at all, andanother hour to get where you wereing.

    The sofa in king size room was not adequate to sleep a third person. We couldn’t add a pull away bed due to fire code. Misleading that you can sleep 3 in the room we booked.

    A couple of recommendations. Add a shelf for the hotel items so guests have room to place their toiletries they will use. There were so many hotel items taking up the counter space on the sink, I struggled to have a place for my own stuff to get ready. Add towel hooks for towels and hanging the wonderful robes provided. The timer for the bathroom should be adjusted as the lights went out routinely while we were showering. Room service comes awfully late in the day most of the time. Maybe add a couple of team members. Lastly, I had to call for housekeeping service the first day and then no hot water as well. With good customer service, a manager should check in when this is all within the first 24 hours of arrival.

    The interaction with any of the staff members was always positive, they definitely focus on customer service. The property was always clean, including the pool and their beach property. The only drawback is the spa. The spa is at best mediocre, the services are mediocre and the front desk attendants are sub par. For a spa service it was disappointing. Do not expect relaxation if you have the last appointment of the day as they will make sure to let you know several times you have to leave as they are closing ( probably shouldn’t have an appointment availability that late in the day if the staff is rushing out).

    Our stay was amazing!! We had an early morning flight in and had called the day before to see if we could do an early check in. We understood we might not be able to get in, but would still be able to use the amenities and they would hold our luggage. Upon arrival at 11am, both rooms were ready for us which was such a relief! The rooms were super clean, great atheistic, and spacious! We went to the pool all 3 days and had pool side service which was great. The days that it was busier, the service was a little slow but no big deal! We felt like we were on a tropical vacation. The hotel decor, aesthetic, and vibes were amazing! Great location as well, a little less busy than south beach.

    Relaxing stay at this boutique hotel. On the beach and hotel provides 2 chairs and an umbrella. Very clean and nicely decorated. Aguasal restaurant is very tasty, along with the food by the pool. Service was great everywhere. The rooms are pretty small, but clean and modern. Mid-beach is a quaint area— not happening like South Beach. The beach boardwalk is lovely and there are a few restaurants walking distance from hotel, but not huge selection.

    My stay at the Andaz Miami was a huge letdown. Room service took over an hour to deliver a latte, and after three follow-up calls, I was told to just keep waiting. For two days, my room wasn’t cleaned, even though I asked the front desk in person and by phone. I was also given an ADA room for no reason, and the bathroom fan was loud and turned on automatically with the light. Overall, the service was unprofessional and careless—not what you’d expect from a so-called five-star hotel.

    The Andaz is brand new and everything from the lobby to the restaurant to the suits has been done immaculately. I am a local (Surfside resident) and we just stayed at the Andaz for 2 nights to enjoy the facilities and celebrate my birthday. We definitely enjoyed our stay! We checked out all the facilities; Everything looked great. The Gym is fully stocked with everything you need for a good or even serious workout. But it was hard to find it because signage is not great in the property. Same goes for the Spa. It was beautiful, the only thing it missed was not having a steam room; but if you don’t mind not having a steam bath, it’s just perfect. The dry sauna is very nice and spacious. The Spa also is not well marked so you must ask where to go. As a guest, a guide of where things are is a good idea. The staff could not be friendlier and helpful; they’ve earned 20 out of 10 - kudos to all of them for their professionalism. They meant to help and make our experience a good one and they did that very well. The rooms are very well appointed and the suite we had was beautiful and comfortable. I will definitely return and will encourage my friends and family to consider the Andaz in their next visit to a Miami Beach.

    The staff is so helpful. Everyone is chill and yet attentive. You don't order food at the beach and wait an hour for delivery. Everything is kind, thorough, thoughtful. The cleaning service is mindful, leaving little extras that you use more of than others, everyone greets you, the service is friendly, but not overly eager. Folks-be kind to the beach staff. They have no control over the weather and when umbrellas have to go up and down. Those humans on the beach were some of the most patient people I've ever seen, dealing with complaints about THE WEATHER, or the staff not wanting guests to be speared by flying umbrellas in storms. Those are tough jobs, and they do them so well. Will happily stay here again.
