Days Inn by Wyndham Mesquite Rodeo TX

When going to the room, the strong smell of mold and mildew hit me, and it felt hard to breathe. There was staining on the carpet, sheets on the bed were different colors as if not washed, the AC/Heating unit had mold from lack of cleaning. There were broken and damages clearly visible from the front entrance, stairwell, and rooms that would leave many uneasy. Nothing looks comfortable to sit on let allow to sleep. I canceled my reservation within the first 15-minutes of being there and was upset that I was still penalized with a night of stay.

We was upstairs at first it didn't smell very good in the hall way. The air conditioner was leaking my husband went and talked to the staff and they was very helpful of getting us a room down stairs.

Room had a horrible smell and was dirty. Had to wait until the next day to be for a new room to be cleaned and I would have been able to be moved to a new room. This is the last time I will stay at this place.

Very bad experience at Days Inn. There were mosquitoes in the room and even on the bed. The floor was dirty and did not look cleaned properly. I would not recommend staying here.

The door extra lock was busted off , the towel’s were yellow , not white , the girl at the front desk , was not very friendly , room needed vacuuming , other than that , we were there for a last minute stay

NO ELEVATOR ,be prepared to carry your luggage up the stairs. Front desk left me sitting for 20+ mins just to check in. Went up stairs to find someone very high walking the halls yelling loud. Staff knew and did nothing. Room was gross, rusted bathroom, moldy bathtub, burn holes in comforters, and holes in wall. Tried to stay, but ended up leaving at midnight because safety became a concern people in the room next to us was smoking weed so bad in was in our room. Tried to get refunded for the nights we were not staying because it was suppose to be multiple day stay and they refused. Not a good hotel at all. Would not recommend..

This place was dirty and unsafe. People were in and out slamming doors, yelling in the halls at all hours of the night. 2 or 3 am in the morning people are coming in and out of the building. Leads me to believe that there was prostitution or drugs being sold in that location. The front door was broken so there was homeless people sleeping in the lobby. The front desk was behind thick glass. The staff was rude and acted like they were doing you a favor by waiting on you. I went down to complain one night about the noise and was not able to find someone at the front desk. Horrible unsafe place

This property is full of people who live here. This is more of a rundown apartment complex than a hotel. The paint is peeling from the ceiling. We requested an extra room and the only available ones were jacuzzi rooms. Both jacuzzi rooms were disgusting; black curly hairs left in the beds and the jacuzzi tubs! The beds had yellow stains on the sheets! The hallways smell like weed all over and the hotel does not have an elevator; so you have to take the stairs to go to your room. The breakfast provided was stale cereal, toast, yogurt, coffee, no creamer! Finally, the locks are on every single door. You have to have a card key to go up stairs, down stairs, to the breakfast area, etc.

I called and asked if hot tub and pool wasn’t working order. The hot tub was filthy. There was no maintenance people to maintenance the pool. It was ice cold the hot tub cloudy and filthy. They said the pool guy never came in from the weekend so I stated this hotel specifically for the inground indoor pool and hot tub. They said it was working and it wasn’t breakfast was put up at 9 o’clock and it was nothing but toast anyway no creamer. It is poor quality all around.

Room wasnt to clean neither was the bathroom, carpet was filthy, its supposedly non-smoking and the hallways and room is penetrated with smoke. Checked in and an hour later I checked out the smell made our heads hurt.

As my 3 teenagers and I pulled in there were people doing drugs and drinking in the parking lot. When I walked into the lobby people were very loud and socializing with the hotel receptionist. As I was checking in the hotel receptionist said “ let’s go look at the room before you check in, I’ve had people want to cancel after they get to the room”. I decided at that point I needed to cancel and find another hotel. I was told by the receptionist that I needed to call Expedia which I did and Expedia told me since this was a pay at location reservation the hotel had to cancel as I walked back into the lobby Expedia was on the phone with the receptionist who was denying all the above. They did cancel and I ended up paying double but for a much nicer and safer hotel. I do not recommend this hotel.

The bed. The pool was filthy and there was trash in the pool room. The whole building smelt like cigarettes. The fire alarm batteries were low, so I tried to use the in room phone, it did not work. They said they would replace the batteries and they came to get it, took the alarm out of the room and never brought it back. That's so dangerous when people are obviously smoking in a non smoking hotel. No elevator. Laundry was out of order.

The sheets and bedding was all damp. We asked for some more but had to go get them. At first they said they didnt have anymore? But there were only like 10 customers when we went to bed. TV didnt work right. The phone didnt work at all. The hallway smelt like marijuana. No stairs... I know people have to make a living but this place needs some work. We cancelled one night and they charged us for it....

I asked again at the counter explained that we had an elderly with us but were put on the second floor until they saw the elderly. one room looked like it hadn't been cleaned and smelled like moth balls and had a rusted microwave. the other my wife fell on the toilet the seat was loose as well as the toilet at the base. people that worked there sat in the lobby and had their children upstairs running and jumping it was so hard to relax (I am so not kidding) thee place wreaked of Marijuana everywhere do not take your family to this place!!!

Thank god the room service ladies were so nice and helpful they let us back in our room. It smells like marijuana up and down the halls made me SickKk. He said I can’t give you a room you should recive a refund within the week. Both opened my door after hearing my voice and telling the 12 checkout. The night before waited 15 mins in lobby while apparently clerk got her groove on with bf. No body wash in shower

I didn't even stay there. Nothing but 18-wheel trucks. Other people there were questionable and I didn't feel safe, even before entering the property

The room are very old dirt smell like old cigarettes.

Breakfast consisted of stale cereal, 2 small muffins, and one yogurt. When I asked if they could restock breakfast, they brought a loaf of bread and a few more muffins, 20 minutes later. The lady was not happy when I asked to restock the breakfast. There were no fruit or no protein options. I am sure this is not standard. I could have gone somewhere else cheaper with no breakfast. This hotel does not serve breakfast and should not advertise that they do. I will not return. We left and ate somewhere else. Very disappointed. Housekeeping was very kind and helpful.

The worst place I have ever sleep

Quick check in. Room was nice and clean. Bed comfortable. I did notice a hole in the wall where they tried hiding it with the towels by the sink. The water smells so bad!!!!!! It smells like something rotting. They need to check on that. Don't even use the ice go to Quik Trip to get ice. By bottled water to brush your teeth. Take another shower when you get home. The water smells terrible.

Nice stay for a decent price.

It smelled so good. The room I was shown verses the room I got was different. The room I got wasn’t bad but could use a little work with the door hard to open and closed because of the carpet. The beds were comfortable an soft it was way than the motel next door I can tell you that

The location is great, very close to fast food places, gas, and a WalMart, and the rooms were mostly clean. The bathroom was very clean, but the comforter had stains on it, the carpet was not clean, and there were small cockroaches about. There wasn't always someone available at the front desk to help with things. The laundry facilities consist of a single washer and dryer that are coin-operated only. And there's no way to charge a wash to your room or to pay with a credit card. I had to walk around to ATMs in the area to try to withdraw cash late at night and none of those were working. It's 2024... I don't think I've used or carried cash in years. So it's a bit strange that it's so outdated.

Checking in was pretty simple. Price was really why I booked this place. Before walking over to our room the first time the front desk associate made it extremely clear there was no smoking in our room. Which was fine because I don’t smoke. As soon as an opened the room it smelled like nothing but cigarettes inside. It smelled terrible, my sheets also had a cigarette burn. I called the front desk and reported it because I didn’t want to get charged for it. Also the continental breakfast was extremely disappointing. All they have was toast, mini muffins, coffee, cereal and a few Activia yogurts.

The place is nice, but when i called vefotehand i was told they had irons in every room which they did not. And my room also had a big hole at the base of the wall

We will not ever stay here again. Our door was not working, hubby had to body slam to get it open. No soap at sinks, and none given when asked. Was told they were locked up. No iron in room, when borrowed from the front desk it didnt work. The toilet seat was loose. Dust on hangers, generally run down. When we went to get breakfast at 8, there were 2 pcs of bread, and cereal, nothing else. PITIFUL EXCUSE FOR A MOTEL!!

Smelled great was clean and staff was friendly

When I booked on line it showed there was a room available but when I arrived at the hotel there weren't any rooms ready. We were told that we had to wait until 3 before a room would be ready. I had driven 3 hours and was tired and ready to lay down. Luckily, my room was ready at 1230.

I believe this was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The bathroom was in serious need of repair. The bandaide fixes of an amateur were more than obvious. The breakfast was non existent. Fruitloops and milk were all that was offered. There is also a pest control problem. Roaches had also checked in for a stay... I would NEVER stay here again and I wouldn’t recommend anyone else staying here either.

The rooms were ok. Bed a little too firm and the pillows if that's what you called them were flat. The breakfast in the morning well there was none. I went down at 6:47 in the morning there was one muffin and two pieces of bread one yogurt and the cereal containers were empty the juice wasn't even ready. So therefore we didn't get breakfast that morning very disappointing since that's why I go to Days inn a Wyndham product. Because they serve breakfast. At least a waffle or something a little more than two slices of bread I have photos of what this soap opera breakfast look like very disappointing

Wasn't happy about a few folks hanging around all day and night in the lobby doing nothing for 3 days.

There is no elevator, the whole building smells like cigarettes even though it’s a no-smoking hotel. Our room was presentable at first glance but gross once I really looked. The carpet had a sticky residue over the entire surface, there were cigarette burns on the beddings, the room smells of strong cigarettes smoke and pot. Our neighbors played loud music into the early hours of the morning and were clearly smoking pot in their room. There was zero information on breakfast service, no tv guide in the room.

Blow dryer didn’t work No iron in room . Room was in poor condition. Unattended children and youth running in hallway for hours .Very strong odor of marijuana. The maid was very friendly and does her job well . I wish she could work in a better environment.I paid for 2 nights but only stayed one because I didn’t want my children exposed to these conditions.

I had to ask how to get to my room and was not given any information on amenities available. Cleaning staff was friendly and no issues there. Door to the room was hard to open as it drug on the floor but room was clean.

The overall stay was OK, quiet and easy check in and out. Room was clean and small, only negative to our stay was the hallways carpet are old and dirty looking and REAKS of marijuana. Could'nt smell in the room was a definete plus.

Even though I had a reservation well in advance of my arrival, the hotel canceled my reservation without informing me or Hotels.com. I never stayed 10 minutes in the hotel and I never will come here now.

There was two things that I didn't like one was this aggressive smoke smell throughout the hallways but not in my room. Also the lady at the front desk was really snappy and was not helpful at all. Even with the check-in she complained.

It was not worth the money, not clean, smelled like smoke, and did not have an elevator. I was not satisfied at all staying at this hotel, and the water in the shower never got hot. I will never stay at this hotel everrrrr again.
