The staff was helpful and apologetic. They said they were issuing a full refund but I have not received any money yet. They say it's because I need to take it up with booking. There were roaches everywhere and the ac was broken. I have pictures and video to prove the deplorable conditions, I have tried to contact booking but have not been able to speak with anyone

When offered 3 other rooms to look at, first one was a mess, second one had the tv stolen out of it, and third one also filthy and tv screen was shattered.

Nothing only stayed because everywhere else was sold out unless you wanted to pay $500+ for 1 night Our room was so disgusting the room hadn't been cleaned our sheets were dirty there was shit on the walls in the bathroom and more poop on the window curtain the bathtub was black our sheets had blood and hair in them the blanket had so many burn holes in it there was stuff smeared all over the walls its the most disgusting thing i've ever seen and I can't believe they charges almost $200 to stay there.I will never stay there again

Parking was easy, the staff were wonderful and personable. The room was clean and when our room didn’t have cable, we were switched to a room immediately that did. Air conditioning was nice and cold. We were worried that the area around the motel was going to be loud through the night (because I hadn’t slept for 36 hours or so)….but it was so quiet that our tv being loud was the only thing that disturbed me! Haha. Lastly, the price was great! We got to Mesa early since I had a student conference at ATSU at 830am. They let us check in early which was very much appreciated! Thank you Motel 6!

Dead insects everywhere, bathroom door would not close. Had to ask for enough towels for 2 people. Very glad it was only 1 night

Not a place to stay. Staff friendly but I asked for a nonsmoking room and wouldn't let me change. Said there's no other room. The motel was not full but had a lot of people living there. Rooms very thin and could hear your neighbors talking.

It was good. I got there about 9 pm so all I did was sleep. For the price, it was very good. There were a lot of activity outside which made it hard to sleep. I turned on the AC and the noise was drowned out.

Hotel had no hot water to shower, the door lock was broken, the sheets and blankets had dried bloody snot all over. Definitely wasn’t washed. I saw two cockroaches walking across the bed, and the vending machine was out of order. It wasn’t an enjoyable stay but I was too tired to find something else.

This was the worst and most trashed hotel i have ever stayed in. Nothing but tweekers walking about all day and night. The room had mold in the bathroom area and no toilet paper dispenser.It also took 10 minutes to get hot water to the extremely slick shower. No smoke detectors just a rag stuffed in the wall so the neighbor can not look through. Never again...

This motel is completely run down and disgusting. We had multiple holes & unfinished repairs in the room. Stained chairs & floors. Room reaked of smoke even tho we asked otherwise. We felt completely unsafe & gross while staying here. Would never return.

Room was nasty looked like the only thing cleaned was the sheets there was food all over curtains and furniture splatter and marker on walls headboard hadn't been cleaned in weeks bathroom fan had been cleaned in months bathroom door was covered in splatter and my shower head was covered in corrosion I found a lighter food and candy wrappers under the mattress light switches and outlets hadn't been cleaned and were broken and there's no trash cans

I was near the laundry machines, which operated until 5 pm . I was on the opposite side of the building, to the light rail line. There were many cats around. It sounded like one was in heat.

This is by far the worst and most unsanitary hotel I’ve ever been to. Had to leave immediately after checking in. I walked in the room and it smelled of cigarettes and urine. Went to go check the toilet which was not flushed by housekeeping, okay that’s one problem solved. Turned around after to find toilet paper crumpled up and stuck to the wall. Looked down from there to find a used bandage on the floor beneath the toilet paper. The walls had stains ranging from just grime to a variety of fun colors. Someone drew all over the lamp with marker and the tv looks like someone scratched a key on it repeatedly. Turn around from there to find a grasshopper on the lamp. That was unexpected but kinda cool. Pulled back the made bed to find stains on the sheets, wasn’t gonna stay here after all of this. I wouldn’t wish this hotel on my least favorite person. Do not stay here.

We didn’t end up staying. We were given two different rooms to try and neither conditions would work for us. Staff was nice, understanding said we would be refunded but it’s been over a week with no response.

roaches are everywhere. I walked in and immediately saw three. The drawers had roach eggs and poop in the corners. I want a full refund, I did not even stay the night, i took a shower and left right after.

Stayed for 1 night room smelled bad to begin with, property to include furniture inside the room was old, room was filthy floors were all stained and tub looked like it hadn't been cleaned at all we didn't showered or removed our shoes!! Bed sheets were old and full of crumbs we were afraid of bed bugs! Never coming back to this place!!

Room was clean, but there was a cigarette burn hole in our bedspread and on our shower curtain and there was a foul odor in the room. Staff was very helpful. Lots of room for parking by our room. Not much for amenities.

The internet did not work while I was there the staff tried very hard to remedy this and I myself was on the phone with a Cox agent trying to fix this to no avail. The television only worked part of the time. When I turned it on it just said no internet and the staff came to my room and got it to receive a few channels but when I turned it off and tried to turn it back on, same problem again. Couldn't work on the computer, couldn't watch TV so I decided to read . The lamp next to the bed could only be turned on and off by plugging it into the receptacle behind the night stand and unplugging it when finished. This was because the lamp had no switch. I don't think I will be returning to any Motel 6!

Motel overall needs to be remodeled both inside and outside. Walkway, stairs, walls could use a good steam cleaning! Fix broken bath tissue holder.

The staff was helpful and patient. The air conditioning worked. The Motel 6 was shabby, but clean. My friend was most disturbed by the numbers of people (with their cats and dogs) who seemed to be loitering outside our room and who didn’t appear to have any consideration for the other guests.

The room smelled like as ashtray and it was supposed to be a non smoking room. When I went to see about getting a different room, was told that was how they all smelled. The person at the front desk said the manager was not available, (not sure when he would be).

At check in, the receptionist gave no greeting to anyone that walked in. The lobby smelled like wet dog, feet, and cigarettes. Her responses sounded like she was annoyed to be doing her job. She moved around behind the reception desk by sliding around in an office chair. When my room key card was made, she just slid it on the table. Didn’t offer directions to the room, check out times, a good bye. Nothing. The bed sheets and pillow cases were dirty. One of the bed’s sheets had what looked like a blood smear on it. There was women’s hair all on the bed. We were only given 2 bath towels. Trash removal or towel replacements never came on day 2 of being there. We asked the receptionist if someone could just go and change out the sheets/pillow cases/towels at least. She wrote it on a sticky note. When we arrived back at the room that evening, nothing was done. The receptionist was aware of what room requested it and made a grunt when it was brought up. She slid me 3 bath towels and a couple hand towels. Day 3, still no trash removal or sheet changing. By then, my roommate left to stay at a different hotel. I should’ve followed. I checked out a day early. Two staff members were outside the front door of the lobby smoking. But they at least reimbursed me for one nite stay without having to ask. Motel 6 Mesa, AZ is a great value place to stay. The room is clean, quiet, close to the Metro, grocery stores, restaurants. If my travel plans bring me back to Mesa area, I will look to stay at this hotel again. Thank you.

Room was not cleaned prior to us getting there. The bathroom was disgusting- Xs marked on the wall, the toilet and shower looked like they had never been cleaned. The surfaces were dirty, there was a used band aid stuck to the floor. The lamps, nor TV worked at all. Not worth what I paid AT ALL and I was very disappointed.

The neighborhood wasn't great. I had a non-smoking room that reeked of smoke and had cigarette burns on the nightstands. It was outdated and the there wasn't a smoke alarm. I would not stay there again.

Unfortunately our room did not have any amenities (including a tv). We did not bother to try to fix the issues simply because we were never in the room for very long. Nonetheless make sure to confirm what is or is not in the room before booking. The front desk person was kind, I'm sure she would've been of assistance.

Front desk gave me my key 120 I went to my room and someone was already there.. Motel 6 said it’s nothing to do with them and sorry no rooms available. I had to sleep in my car and never felt safe. Horrible service and experience. The person in the room could have shot me or did something horrible!!!

My room had water running constantly. The staff wasn’t friendly at all. I requested two queen beds because I was traveling with a friend. They ran out of rooms and forced us into a king bed. Don’t stay here!!

The room was shabby! The bath tub was rusted, Big patched holes in the door and walls, that had been plastered over but not finished off. The bedding smelled like cigeret . If we hadn't been so tired when we got there,or if we were needing to stay in town longer, we would have gone somewhere else. The place needs a total make-over.

Run down, poorly maintained, had roaches. Sparse furniture—only one chair, one bedside lamp. The lamp was the only light in the room. The standing lamp that was supposed to turn on by the door had no bulb. The bedside lamp was missing a bulb and the bathroom vanity needed 2. I notified the office and the maintenance man, but nothing was done in the 4 days we stayed. No shampoo in bathroom. Night clerk was rude. She left me and another guest standing outside in the cold while she counted money and did clerical duties unrelated to checking us in. Key cards gave us problems. We had to reprogram it daily.

The toilet was being held together with masking tape. The furniture was badly beaten and there was a nightstand missing the hardware. I tried to make the best of it, and when I ultimately decided to leave and check out with my minor child, the front desk told me they could only give me a partial refund because I had entered the room for an hour. What a joke. I just want my money back. There is a shed in the parking lot that was open and full of dirty mattresses that were not protected. How is any of this okay? It was a total dump. Not worth it at all.

I reserved for a non-smoking room but they placed my family in a smoking room. The room really smelled bad with the noxious smell of cigarette. The bed was wobbly and the toilet was poorly maintained. There were no soap and shampoo provided except for tissue. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this motel six. All was very clean and well kept. Staff friendly, and very helpful. I would recommend a stay here anytime and will be happy to return.

I booked a two queen bed non-smoking room. I showed up at one in the morning and they said that the morning manager changed the room to a king bed gave our room away went to the king bedroom and it was smoked in and they said they had nothing else they could offer me so I had to drive around for several hours in the morning. Look for a new hotel

DO NOT STAY HERE! Bad area, horrible night staff! We were very delayed and called the hotel at 6pm informing them we were still coming and would not be arriving until 3 or 4 am. They said no problem they are here 24/hrs and would make a not in the reservation. We arrived at 3:45am extremely tired and ready to sleep. We were greeted by someone getting out of a beat up car in the parking lot doing who knows what. She does not let me in the lobby and points me to a window to speak with here. Before I even tell her my name she says she has canceled my reservation as a no show. I asked if she knows who I am and that I called and she cuts me off and says yes and my reservation has been canceled. I start to talk again and let her know I called and there should be a note and she just repeated over and over "it doesn't matter and I don't care" she said I had to close off at 3am and she charged me 1 night and canceled the remaining 2 nights. If I wanted I could make a new reservation at a higher rate! I was so frustrated and tired and didn't know what to do. I went back to the car and the tears started to flow. My husband got out and went to the window to try to reason with her and she called the police on him. Not once did he threaten her! We waited for the police and they even said this is a bad area you don't want to stay here. We booked another hotel in a much safer area (the police gave us suggestions). I hope I can save someone else the trouble we went through.

The second night they were unsure if they had any other rooms and the room they gave me had stains on the comforter. This is in a loud part of Mesa…. but it was inexpensive and convenient.

The room was very old. It really needed painting. The tv was on when we went in and we couldn't turn it off. We had to unplug it. One of the lamps was missing a light bulb. The blanket was very thin and had numerous cigarette burns in it.

The staff is amazing… the motel had issues with my lock… they did as much as they could to accommodate me. Very willing to help.

The room smelled like smoke, the blankets had cigarette burns, the tub had cigarette burns. They turned off water and didnt notify anyone. Then when water came back on it was barely coming out. I asked for room to be cleaned and the housekeeper just gave us towels and thats it. The ladies in the office are really nice and helpful. Things are just ok here. I did have to extend my rental, but i figured we just stay in same room, i believe they are booked.

I checked in and was not feeling safe right away. I saw drug deals being done in front of me. Our key never worked for the door, they had to come over and open it for up the door needed new batteries. The curtains were torn and half gone, the bed and furniture was broken. We checked out right away. I didn’t feel safe there. It looked like a place the homeless would stay. I never even slept there. We desired to drive straight home.

Staff was not friendly. Area security was bad, looked sketchy. Guests (which looked more like residents) we outside flying drones. Bathroom looked awful, door was scratched like someone was trying to scape from there.

Booked this hotel for a 2 night stay through Expedia. Upon arrival, the office was locked. Had to go to the side window. Was there for about 10 mins because the office lady was on the personal phone call (heard every as the window mic was on). She finally hung up and said “what do u need, we’re fully booked.” I said I was checking in… she asked my name and said rudely, “I don’t have that name!” I showed her the confirmation and receipt. She said sorry can’t help u. So I asked what do I do for my refund. I was 5 hrs from home. She said, “not my problem.”I said wow, u have horrible customer service. She smiled and when I walked away she said, “f*ck!ng idiot.” The place had a bunch of people in the parking lot and the place smelled of marijuana and cigarettes.

The parking area was well lit but the light outside of my door was flashing all night long. The beds had burn marks in the blankets/sheets. Tub/bathroom needed repairs…just a lack of cleanliness and repairs. Would not stay here again.

Staff were great and helpful. My room was clean, it’s a motel so there’s some flaws. I mean the building is old so for it to be clean is good. No trash or sketchy activities that I’ve witnessed. It’s in town down Mesa so the train is right there. It’s also walkable to most eatery’s. I had a car so parking is free. I like that’s its quiet, I experienced noise but only during the day when people are coming or going but at night and most of the day is pretty quiet. I would definitely recommend or stay again.

The last room we stayed in was not that great. The luggage rack on the wall was hanging down and held with just one screw. The floors were not that clean, if you walked on the floor you would have black on the bottom of your feet. The front desk person were amazing and made our stay pleasant.

There wasn't anything that was enjoyable about my stay here. First of all customer service is poor. I was overcharged for my room even after confirming my booking in total price the merchant still did not want to refund me. The in room 233 was sunk in, faucet in the bathroom sink not running properly, and no pressure from the shower head. No Wi-Fi and amenities of microwave as promised. Brown water started coming from the bathtub and the toilet would not flush. I wouldn't recommend anyone to rent this room unless it was the last option. No Management on the property no one cares about your issues.

Hotel has not been updated in what appears to be decades. Everything is falling apart and dirty. Tue floor was gross, Tue bed linens had cigarette burn holes in them, the property is very dirty, trash everywhere, Many of the “guests” appear to be prostitutes or drug addicts or both. I witnessed many drug deals in the parking lot. And what appeared to be “johns” visiting rooms. The staff doesn’t really seem to care about what’s going on at the property. The rooms are literally falling apart, broken toilets, broken showers, broken everything. Very disappointed.

The staff was amazing very welcoming. Also I liked how quiet it was there it was also nice that the light rail was right there.

Do not stay here! This place should not be open for business. Looks like they were housing homeless during covid. Unsafe, unclean, unlivable. They only positive was I got a refund with no hassle.

Every time I left the property when I returned I had to get a new electronic key. Unacceptable. After returning late one night there was a puddle of water in the middle of the floor. Small about the size of a dinner plate. No obvious signs of how it got there.

I was given room #229. The room reeked of cigarette smoke as if someone had just lit ip a cigarette.I immediately informed the front desk person that the room reeked of cigarette smell and the room lights were not working. And that i could not accept the room. The front desk gave me a door key to room # 112 and the room was old almost delapidated and had roach infestation. I again informed the front desk per son that I could not accept this room either and i requested a full refund. The front desk stated that she would refund me my $50 dollar deposit but that I would need to speak with the manager the following day between the hours of 11 am-3:00 pm. The following day i was refunded $50 dollar deposit and i will follow up with the manager.

Was the only room on our trip that we needed a iron and it didn't have one. No blanket on the bed .

This hotel took my money when I did not pay their deposit in cash I told them hotels.com showed me all the current charges and taxes which were paid I did not get my room and they did not issue a refund in my opinionhotels.com should credit me a stay or at least refund my money in full I'm very disappointed with the service from hotels.com and from motel 6.

To be honest with you, I’ve stayed in hotels like this before just because it’s economical so I guess I got what I paid for but I’ve never experienced a place this disgusting mind you the staff work great. They help me when I had issues but when I first checked into my room, I had asked for a smoking room. They only had one and when I walked in there, I swear I saw something scurry under the bed. But I checked under there there was nothing. I gotta put my stuff down to go use the restroom and come to find out that the toilet seat was completely off the toilet and there was a little roach inside the bowl. I asked the staff member to see if they can swap me rooms and they told me that that was the only smoking room available which I kind of think it’s baloney also only because there was a couple in front of me when I went to tell him to see if I can swap the rooms because of the toilet seat, I overheard her offering them a smoking room, which I didn’t cause any issues. It’s no big deal but when I finally got into my new room and get settled in. I was noticing that the sheet wasn’t on the all the way on the bed in the bed have massive stains all over which was kind of gross. Some parts of the walls had nothing but holes in it and at one point in my stay, I had noticed roach, eggs, and roaches rolling around everywhere not a big fan of those bad boys, but at least they didn’t have bedbugs right? Not to mention the noise from the outside there’s a lot of folk that walk around yell

Shower did not have a shower pull. To switch from the tub filler spout to the shower head and there is no tub stopper. I Called front desk and informed them of this issue before 10 am they told me that they would call maintence. Maintenance never showed.

Arrived with IT folks working on the network. Employees did not acknowledge me for a bit. Once she (Bobbie) did, she was quite pleasant. Even though I had a receipt for my reservation, I was forced to wait until the network issue was resolved for the POS in order to check me in. Went to my room - there was someone already using it. Ugh. Bobbie was kind enough to apologize (and I do realize it was not her fault - clearly a miscommunication from housekeeping or perhaps system issue due to ther network issues at the time). There was no internet the entire night - luckily I had unlimited via my phone to HotSpot the laptop in order to do some research for our friend day we were all having. I'm disappointed that I was not offered any sort of discount for the couple of inconveniences.

There bathroom door was off the hinge.There was no telephone in the room.The bath tube had mold ring around the edges.The air conditioning was broken didn’t cool the room at all very muggy. The lighting was poor one lamp didn’t have a lamp shade and there was a drawer missing from the dresser.

Paid $130 for a wo/TV. Only needed HDMI cable. Property did not have spare HDMI. Clerk knows that HDMI cables are often stolen. Had to change rooms.
