Courtyard by Marriott Phoenix Mesa Gateway Airport

Got there around 4pm and checked in. Our room was 85 degrees and the AC was not on/working. I went down to the front desk 3 times to ask about the AC unit. The desk girl stated “to use the unit itself & not the wall unit”. I tried and there was not any buttons on the unit to make it work. I went back down to the front desk and was told “the maintenance guy just went to do an airport run. He will check it when he gets back”. Nobody ever came to our room to check the unit. We finally got the wall unit to start working at about 9pm but it would go off & on after 15 minutes only. The unit was off and on all night and finally at 1am the unit kicked in & maintained the temperature. It finally got down to 72 degrees in our room. NOT acceptable!

Our plane was late and the shuttle wasn’t running at that hour. The concierge arranged for transportation to the hotel from the airport and was very cordial when we arrived. We would definitely stay there again!

Loved my stay. I was in town for a tournament. The staff were friendly and helpful. I will stay here again when I’m back in June. The price matched the hotel.

We used the hot tub but it was a little too hot (most likely maxed at 104°.. 101° would be best). And other than that, the shower head in our bathroom needed to be cleaned. I still give it 5 stars and highly recommend this location.

The room was clean and spacious. The bed was okay, the pillows were uncomfortable and way too soft. Other than that everything else was good. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The other thing was that on a holiday, breakfast should have been offered until a later time, like 11am.

In our toilet where the water goes down the tube part it looked like they hasn’t cleaned it well and it had brown which even if it wasn’t, looked like feces.

I was disappointed to find out that this hotel does not include continental breakfast. They have food items available for purchase. Also our body wash in our bathroom was all out. We could have used an extra towel and an extra blanket for the fold out couch. We were also charged for parking which I was not anticipating.

Location to the airport was perfect.We took the shuttle at 5 am and it couldn't have been smoother. Rooms were spacious and I loved the charging port on the sleeper bed. Very clean and new. Had a little bistro in the waiting room that had good food, but was a little pricey. But what isn't? The Gal at the front desk was really Great, she called a few minutes after getting in our room and asked if everything was to our expectations. Great stay before flying out of the Mesa airport. Would stay again. Had to pay for parking.

The only thing about my stay that I didn't like was the access to the internet. It gave me two choices - already a member of Marriott Boyton (or something like that), that I'd never heard of, or Join Marriott Boyton, which I didn't want to do. So I didn't know what to do and had to contact the front desk to get connected.

We had had a rough day. Stressful visits to Mayo and a car accident on 202. When we got to the hotel Keoni was at the front desk and put smiles on our faces with his warm attitude. When checking out the Gentleman that was working (didn’t catch his name) was just as pleasant. The room was clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend.

This hotel tries to charge for every little thing including parking per day. I would not go back.

I appreciated the convenience of restaurants, bistro, and airport. The bed was so incredibly comfortable beds and the showers are so large and clean!

I called for three days and no one would answer the phone I even called corporate and they couldn’t them to answer the phone it was always busy. I checked the phone number several times. Not impressed!

Only downside and it’s not mentioned is that they charge for parking. I’m not even sure why, nothing special is around the hotel

Highly recommend we had a flight at 6:30 AM out of Mesa and the shuttle was available at 5:00 AM. We had plenty of time to check a bag, grab breakfast at the airport, then board the flight.

Would have gave 4 stars but our room sink was clogged. Also they do not offer free breakfast. They have a cafe and full bar. The fire pit outside was nice and the rooms were strip vegas quality.

My room was clean and comfortable. Check in was quick and the gentleman at the front counter was very friendly and let me know he was available if I had any issues. It made me feel like I was a welcome guest.

It was nice, staff was polite. The king bed seemed a little hard, and the couch bed where our daughter slept was as hard as concrete. The desk was missing wheel, so it tilted. Beware of the parking fee ($15.00) that they add onto your bill, really. You pay $170.00 a night, and they add a parking fee. Called frontdesk and they removed it.

Then we are given a room with a broken television and had to change rooms but we thought, no big deal On December 27th we checked out at 4:40am and waited for the 5:00am shuttle. It never came! There was only one person working in the entire hotel. He said he tried multiple times to contact the shuttle driver and his manager but could not reach either one. We asked if he could call a cab or airport shuttle to get us to the airport. The front desk worker said he didn’t have any contact numbers and we could try calling an uber ourselves. My husband and I made several calls but none of the ride services could respond soon enough to get us to the airport in time for our flight. I asked the front desk worker if he could drive us. He said no, he might lose his job if he left the hotel. I asked him what would he do or who would he call in the event of an emergency at the hotel, he said he would call 911. Finally at 5:35 after another guest came down for their 5:45 shuttle, the front desk worker decided to start the shuttle and take us to the airport! My husband and I ran through the airport and got to the gate

Either way, both nights we stayed there we were woken up throughout the night by sounds of construction. There was no construction going on, but the room was located directly above the automatic doors to the hotel and next to the elevator. It turns out both of those sent noise directly into our room. If I were to stay at this location again, I would definitely not stay in that room again.

We had to stay last minute because of flight delays. I called to see if we could get a shuttle pick up from the airport and someone came within 10 minutes. Everyone was so friendly and made a hard situation feel not so terrible.

Chose this property because it was close to the Mesa airport and offered a shuttle. It was clean, comfortable, and the shuttle was easy to request and utilize. All of the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Updated rooms were nice. Thoughtful design and features. The only issue I had was the bathroom seemed to need a good scrubbing (mainly the shower). 3 minutes to the airport was great for an early flight.

I stayed at the Courtyard Marriot while in town for funeral services and I will admit, I was rather emotional. The staff were incredibly kind from the concierge, to the baristas and the waitstaff at the bistro, answering any questions I had and their kindness was greatly appreciated in this very difficult time.

Close to air port

We got it for the airport shuttle. Staff picked us up at night after we dropped off our rental car and got us to the airport in the morning.

I was there for two nights and my room wasn’t serviced after the first night. The coffee machine had water and someone’s coffee pod floating in it - gave me the icks.
