Local specialties and tasty cuisine are served at the fine dining restaurant of the Château de Mercuès. An outdoor swimming pool is set in the heart of the park planted with tercentenary cedars. We booked this hotel as a bit of a luxury after a long road trip and we were not disappointed! The staff are extremely welcoming and happy to help with anything. We got upgraded and the room was incredible - they provided robes and slippers which is always a bonus. We went on a Sunday so didn’t get to try the full gastronomic menu, but the Sunday night menu was still amazing. We also did a wine tasting of the wines made on site - their Malbec is delicious and we bought a couple of bottles to take with us. We were only staying one night but wished we had stayed longer! It's hard to think of something that we didn't like. If anything, the bathroom had been renovated to add a shower head, and so it leaked a little. Nothing dramatic though!

Wonderful chateau, grounds and views and vineyard tour. The food in the bistronomic restaurant was extremely good. Great pool. Staff couldn't be more helpful. The aged wine. Bathrooms could be better designed for showers. €28 for a small portion of mashed potato with truffle (delicious although it was) wasn't great value.

A dream of a place and an amazing atmosphere. Breakfast at the highest level. We would love to come back again We have had dinners with a Michelin star in the past several times. 200 euros is true that it is a lot. But we haven't had the meal that lasts 4 hours!!!!...... We asked the waiters if we could speed up the process a little, but it was not accepted. The break between a very small dose and the next small dose is at least 45 minutes. it's too much. A waste of time and money.

Staff were absolutely top notch especially the reception staff. Beautiful chateau, nice rooms in keeping with building. Good nights sleep. Good breakfast.

Splendid location with impressive chateau and stunning views. The restaurant was perfect for an atmospheric dining experience with friends. The trip to the winery and complimentary wine tasting was an enjoyable extra. Cooked breakfast not always warm for late risers. Internet connection slow at times.

The location is superb, very dramatic. Loved the food and overall ambience. Staff was great, very personable. The view of the terrace from our room was enchanting. While the room itself was large, bathroom was quite small but understand; built as a chateau not a hotel! Thought the dark colors of the walls in the dining areas worked well but felt the earthtone browns of our room could be lightened up a bit. The room itself has great “bones”.

Stunningly beautiful location. The private tour of the wine cellar and subsequent wine tasting was informative and the wines were delicious. The dinner was brilliant and service was impeccable. The accommodations were comfortable and provided amazing views of the surrounding vineyards and the river. It is well worth the drive to this beautiful chateau. You will not regret your choice to stay at this magnificent place. Not a thing !

Didn’t take breakfast . Very poor service on the outside terrace. Waited an unacceptable length of time after being told someone would be out to take our drinks order and following that a further wait for the drinks to arrive. The excuse was that dinner service had started !

What a wonderful place! We absolutely loved our stay in this beautiful chateau. Everything was superb - the staff, the food, the accommodation. The gastronomy was outstanding the views so breathtaking, and we loved the winery tour. Nothing - it was all great!

Location and style Happy to stay again The front rose gardens and courtyard were unkempt not Relais Hotel standard. The food was very good but not usual Michelin Star standard. The reception car park was not in use and there was no directions to reception from the alternative carpark. If you have mobility issues make sure you tell them when booking as the lift only services a small section of the chateau.

Very special place to stay, great situation, beautifully furnished, excellent staff No fitness room, swimming pool not heated. no a la carte in the restaurant, only a choice of degustation menus for either 150/200 euros and portions were small, no TV in bedroom

The rooms and restaurant were beautiful! Staff was extremely friendly, and the restaurant (La Table de Mercues) was wonderful. The pool and it's surrounding tiles were a little tired...and the garden fountain not working. Also, there were no medium priced on site restaurant options...only the Michelin star restaurant....when we wanted something more casual on the night.
