Air conditioning did not work. Place was not clean.
- 4/5
The door to the room was so heavy. I don’t see how anyone with any balance issues would not fall.
- 5/5
Nice little hotel. Very nice amenities- jacuzzi pool table etc. Free bikes to borrow. Clean and nice rooms.
- 3.5/5
Spacious Non decorated
- 1/5
There’s was no AC and the person on the desk didn’t told me until last minute. He only has us 1 fan and it was a warm night. I paid a little more for a room but didn’t get I expected to get
- 5/5
Very nice and quiet. Modern. Clean. Pretty. Overall great. Staff super friendly. Great breakfast. It's now our pick for when in town.
- 5/5
Super nice, clean, modern, friendly staff, quiet ... couldn't rave more. It's now our choice to pick when in town.
- 4/5
Carpet was a bit dirty, but everything else was fantastic. Staff/team was fantastic
- 3/5
Breakfast was decent. No air conditioning that I could see Probably would not stay there again..
- 3/5
The room was clean and tidy, the bed was good, the staff was nice. The drawback was that our room was directly under the AC unit for that building on the roof. The sound and vibration kept me up all night. Because we were tucked in the back, there were bright lights in front of the door (which makes sense) and in front of the window, which kept the room fairly bright, even with the black out curtains drawn. The combo of the bright light and the humming/ vibrating sound of the AC unit above made for a bad combo to get a decent night sleep for me unfortunatley. I was so busy that I only realized this situation once in bed at night and was too tired to get dressed again and request a new room.
- 3.5/5
The location is excellent- close to Stanford stadium, stanford shopping mall with excellent shops and dept stores. Also close to restaurants . Staff- always no one at the reception. Some Staff does not speak english . there were no reception when i checked out and available staff has language barrier. Breakfast- during breakfast omelette keeps running out and had to wait several times. Not sure if hotel is short staff
- 4/5
The only major drawback was the Wi-Fi. With speeds averaging 6-8 Mbps, it was insufficient for Zoom meetings or remote work.
- 5/5
Clean room
- 5/5
We stayed for one night for a good price. It was very quiet. Nice spacious room, moderately clean. Staff was very nice. The only thing I’d complain is the A/C did take a while to cool down the room but it wasn’t hot weather so it didn’t bother us too much.
- 5/5
Location and cleanliness and great staff I had a great experience. Nothing bad to say. Will stay there again.
- 4/5
Would stay here again!
- 5/5
Comfortable, adjustable room temperature, daily maid service, staff always friendly!
- 2.5/5
The door was broken, the shower has mold. It felt not clean
- 4/5
No AC
- 3/5
Everything in the room I consider was purchased on price, low price.
- 5/5
Thank you for a great stay !!
- 5/5
Clean room, nice small gym, pleasant courtyard with hot tub. Enjoyed our stay!
- 5/5
Room Lack of fun common areas.
- 4/5
I liked the room and the cleanliness, towels were clean too. I liked the filtered hot and cold water. I liked the Starbucks coffee machine very much! I liked the terrace and the hot tub. I liked the parking facility, and the protected gates. At breakfast I liked the yoghurt (natural and one with flavor), juices. To be honest, breakfast was a bit disappointing: same 2 sorts of fruit every day, a lot of egg, but these did not look tempting. I would have liked some and more diverse fruits; more day to day fresh variation. Croissants were the same and very industrial- not fresh. Pancake machine was out of order.
- 5/5
We've stayed at your wonderful hotel for the past three years visiting our son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter. Your place is very centrally located, clean and the staff is so nice. Great place.
- 5/5
Very nice staff. Very good breakfast. Nice beds
- 5/5
Last minute booking. Clean Room. Free breakfast. Family Friendly. Friendly staff. Hotel is 2 stories w/no elevators, however hotel staff will gladly carry your luggage up/down stairs. Price was reasonable considering the area/demographics.
- 4.5/5
The area was great! We could walk to The Guild for our concert. Lots of shopping you could walk or drive to in the area. The hotel has a beautiful outdoor area with a fire pitt and lots of outdoor seating and a lap pool. They have a really cool indoor area with TV's on the walls and a pool table. They furnish free coffee and have a cold/hot water dispenser and ice. The room was big even with 2 queen beds. The beds were awful!! They really need to get new matresses. My husbands back hurt and my hips hurt after 2 nights on these old uncomfortable matresses. Also, it would've been nice if they could've contacted us and let us know that the A/C was broken. It was in the mid 80's and no A/C. I think they should've compensated us for the broken A/C.
- 3/5
Breakfast and common areas are in good shape. Long hottub enjoyable. Location perfect for all things Menlo Park and upper half of Palo Alto.
- 0.5/5
Location was next to a lot of stores and quiet. The ac in the room was broken so the room was at 80 degrees all night making it impossible to sleep. When I notified the staff they did nothing to remedy the situation besides saying they had just fixed it. We were not the only ones with this problem. Their pillows were extremely disgusting with yellow stains. Their complimentary breakfast was lack luster. I had to inform the front desk that their pancake machine was out of batter with hospitality sorely lacking from both the night crew and morning crew.
- 4/5
Very friendly staff, but the HVAC doesn't work, and they don't move me to a different room. Opened my windows, but paying 1700+ for 5 days, I would expect someone to be prompt about it, but I hear nothing.
- 2.5/5
The staff were very helpful Our room was situated next to a machine of some kind that was extremely noisy all through the night making it very difficult to sleep.
- 5/5
Yes
- 5/5
Nice breakfast/Clean room | Friendly Staff | Family-friendly
- 3/5
Staff was cordial. Carpet in the room was vacuumed but stained. Small portions of the carpet near the bed were sticky. Coffee machine in breakfast lounge said it needed cleaning. Generally expect better maintenance and care at this expense level.
- 5/5
Great location.
- 3/5
Room was fine but during our first evening we felt like we were on the street as the noise was very loud. We saw the front desk and they changed our room to a more inward location which made a difference. Thank you for attentive and prompt service.
- 0.5/5
Location Our room had no heat. They did not disclose this upon checking in, found out the hard way when I woke up the next morning and it was cold. Upon arrival the room temp was 64F and I thought I adjusted the heat but clearly nothing happened overnight. After confronting the person at the desk the next day, they told me there’s a portable heater in the room and they could bring me a blanket. I did not feel comfortable with keeping the mini heater on during the night for fear of a fire. The second day, the room temp was 54F…and it was not warm weather outside, it made for a very cold stay. We put on our clothes and they were cold, the bathroom floor was very cold. The only good thing was the warm shower. I did ask if we could move rooms but they were less than interested in offering this as an option. We did not receive housekeeping, when I asked about it, they asked me if I put the card on the door, to which I said no. Lastly, their ‘breakfast included’ was extremely poor. One morning 45 min before the end of the service, there was no warm food, just lain yogurt and a few bagels. The hot serving dishes had bits of food in them, but no staff to ask for replenishing the mini buffet.
- 4.5/5
Location; value; cute lobby and main floor and amenities. Also appreciate having both firm and softer pillows to choose from Bed was a bit soft but not terrible.
- 4/5
Nice room and good service.
- 5/5
Clean and nice facility Parking is a little scrunched but ok.
- 5/5
This was a great hotel! It is small but they offer so much fun activities. Stayed for valentines weekend and it was super nice. The bed was firm, the bathrooms were super nicer. I will 100% be coming back
- 5/5
Great place!
- 2/5
The room smelled and it wasn’t clean
- 5/5
Nice hotel centrally located in Menlo Park
- 5/5
The staff was so friendly and the rooms were so clean. The location was amazing and the best of all was the heated lap pool.
- 5/5
We booked this room because the hotel was adjacent to The Guild Theater, which was a big bonus because we got to walk to the venue which was very pleasant and exactly what we were looking for in booking a hotel. This is being nit picky, but during check-in the person said we could play pool 24/7. When we came back to the hotel after the show at the Guild Theater, we wanted to play a game and we were told the area was closed and the information we had received was wrong.
- 5/5
Great place to stay!
- 4/5
The room was very clean. Amenities were good. The shared space was very useful and nice. Loved the pool!.
- 5/5
Great place and pleasant stay
- 2/5
Checked out early and went somewhere else. This is a motel not a hotel.
- 2/5
Not worth the money
- 1/5
Our room never got above 64 degrees. There was hair on the shower drain and lotion on night stand.
- 3/5
Front desk check in and check out was pleasant. The room had a TERRIBLE musty smell and Shampoo and conditioner was OUTSIDE the shower!! Bed was okay but felt like i should have brought my own bedding to put over…. I will NEVER go back!!
- 4.5/5
The room was very nice, and good sized. A comfortable bed and upgraded shower and vanity area. The only downside was the hot tub was closed for repairs. The breakfast was good, with small omelettes and many other options.
- 4/5
Great location right next to safe way and guild theatre
- 5/5
Check in staff was super helpful and nice! The room was well laid out and the heater is to figure out.
- 4/5
Decent hotel, nothing fancy. Good for short stay, close to stores and shopping center. They ran out of hot chocolate our entire stay.
- 4/5
Clean, tidy, nice staff but the AC was not working due to repairs
- 4/5
Very positive experience. Thank you.
- 3/5
Bad smell in room. Had to buy air freshener but it still wouldn’t go away. Otherwise it was a fine stay.
- 5/5
Hotel Lucent was AMAZING!! Jeanni made the entire stay unforgettable, she was so kind and accommodating!! It’s people like her that make a stay incredible, and because of her we will always go back anytime we are at Stanford or in the area! She went above and beyond for my son & I, and we are so grateful to her for all of her help! We weren’t expecting to stay in the area, but due to an emergency came up to Stanford without any extra clothes or toiletries, and Jeanni made sure we had toothbrushes, toothpaste, water, and even coffee, hot chocolate and tea!! Hotel Lucent was clean and comfortable and so welcoming!! She even turned the heater
- 5/5
Nice place! Will stay again.

Room was tiny, outlets didn’t work.
- 5/5
Room clean staff awesome will be staying again in the future
- 3/5
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff, great location, safe neighborhood and clean premises. Thoughtful details like a pool table, backgammon board and good jazz music on the sound system were appreciated. Cons: The shower in our initial room (107) was infested with ants. We moved to a second room (229) that was located below a massive air conditioning unit that sounded like a helicopter landing on the roof when it fired up every few minutes. This made sleeping very challenging. I’ve read other reviews where people commented on traffic noise, but honestly Menlo Park is pretty quiet at night. That being said, I wouldn’t have noticed traffic given the oppressively loud AC system. Our room wasn’t serviced on the second day but the person at the front desk kindly provided clean towels on request. Breakfast was fine, typical readymade hotel omelets and a pancake machine. However, on the second day everything had been consumed by 8:30, so it pays to get up early. I must mention again that the staff was unfailingly courteous and helpful and did their best to make our stay pleasant. Managing a hotel is a very challenging business so I don’t want to complain too much, but I suspect our experience would have been better if we’d been in a different room.
- 4/5
We stayed on three occasions over the last week. On the first occasion there was so much noise and vibration from the fans above the room that we had to be moved to another room, which still suffered from this but to a much lesser degree. Subsequent stays were in other better rooms and were very satisfactory.
- 3/5
The property was very clean and kept up well… it sounded like a diesel truck was sitting on the roof of our room intermittently throughout our stay. I dont know if it was the furnace or what but it was pretty disruptive, we could hear our neighbors TV all night and then I got a text at 1:58am asking us how our stay was which also woke me up out of my sleep. Wasn’t a very restful night…
- 5/5
Sleek and sharp and convenient
- 2/5
Good location Spa was broken, beds are uncomfortable, there were ants in our original room so we had to be moved, pancake machine was not working and the half and half for my coffee was curdled. Kitchen staff couldn’t communicate because they only spoke Spanish so that was unhelpful when I was trying to get assistance at breakfast. Front desk staff were very kind and helpful.
- 5/5
Room was very nice and the staff was very friendly we loved the complimentary breakfast as well!
- 4.5/5
The staff was very friendly & accommodating, & every area from the inviting lobby, to breakfast area to the room was impeccably clean. The pillows are huge & very uncomfortable.
- 4/5
A great place to stay when going to a show at the Guild theater less than 2 blocks away!!
- 4/5
Bring your own pillows. The bed pillows are lumpy.
- 5/5
Everyone that works there is so nice. Great location.
- 5/5
Clean room and staff was helpful
- 4/5
Swimming pool was not a pool it was more of a hot tub but in a small swimming pool style But that wasn’t a big deal aa we were going to Santa Cruz. overall if your looking for a nights getaway or a few days for 1-3 people I’d recommend one room, any more people get more rooms lol…I appreciated the quiet, clean, SAFE, low priced hotel. Most hotels that are low priced, show it on the inside and out. They sacrifice their safety and cleanliness (employees who just do the minimum or actually turn the other way and not help when they see something unsafe.) (maids who don’t think a thorough cleaning is necessary) and tom, dick and harry all hanging out front drunk, scaring your kids lol Great hotel and we felt completely safe
- 4/5
The service from the staff was great. We had to leave early in the morning which was unfortunate before they served the complimentary breakfast. But they allowed us to grab some of stocked items like yogurt, cereal, and breakfast beverages. The room was great, nice and clean. The pillows were the only thing that were not comfortable. They had some amenities as well
- 5/5
Mark at thr front desk was exceptionally friendly and professional. Made our experience VIP!
- 5/5
The lady at the front desk was very nice and helpful, rooms are great, property and breakfast great!
- 5/5
Cute little hotel. Everything you need!
- 4/5
Great location. Clean room. Our room was way back in a corner with only a small window that faced a wall.
- 3/5
Plenty of food options and shopping near by. Room was clean but the TV was nit functional. Streaming services and any of the offered channels did not come in.
- 5/5
The walkable location to everything in downtown Menlo Park. The complementary bicycles, excellent breakfast and attentive staff.
- 5/5
Close to Meta Connect and friendly staff
- 5/5
Hotel Lucent in Menlo Park was a pleasant experience - warm, welcoming staff and a location that puts you 1-2 blocks away from great cafes, restaurants, and shops. The rooms are comfortable, with housekeeping that keeps everything spotless. A note of caution: if you’re in a room facing El Camino Real, you may hear the occasional traffic zoom by, but most rooms are quiet and restful. The lobby is a nice bonus, complete with a pool table and ping pong that adds a touch of fun to the stay.
- 5/5
Friendly and helpful staff. Close to nearby stores if you’re missing anything for your trip. Lots of convenient restaurants that are walkable distance.
- 5/5
breakfast was so good
- 5/5
Loved the history. Very cute hotel. Mattress a bit uncomfortable.
- 5/5
The room was very clean and comfortable. It was just an over night trip to visit a family member at the hospital, but if he had to stay longer we would definitely stay here again. Nice spacious room.
- 5/5
The exercise equipment was in great condition, the outside areas were very nice. The location to Stanford Hospital was great too! Lots of dining options within walking distance and a grocery store was right around the corner.
- 5/5
Everything
- 5/5
Really wnjoyed our stay. The decor is bright and airy. Staff were very helpful on things to do or get arranged.
- 3/5
The location was good but the room made me feel like i was in an upgraded motel. the bed was lumpy and there were some holes in the sheets. It was not what i expected looking at the pictures.
- 5/5
The hotel is located on El Camino Real, right next-door to a large Safeway, about a half mile to the Stanford Shopping Cemter , and a mile to the entrance to Stanford University. In the other direction it’s a couple of blocks from Santa Cruz Ave. a major retail street in Menlo Park. Overall, it was very convenient clean safe and welcoming - plus it was not to large. We were able to take the CalTrain from SJC and walk to most of our destinations.
- 5/5
The staff were courteous and dedicated to providing good service. The place is quaint, clean, and quiet. Pool table, pool, amazing breakfast. Can you say chia pudding!?
- 5/5
the location was really close to stanford and overall super nice. everything was remodeled
- 5/5
We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Lucent. Cassandra checked us in and was super helpful. We didn’t spend much time in room because we came here for a concert. We like getting our steps in so we walked into town, which was super cute. We also walked home from concert and we felt safe. We enjoyed the late check out so we slept in instead of getting up for breakfast.
- 4/5
.
- 4/5
The soap in the bathroom was very small, and there were no coffee sticks to stir the coffee.
- 4/5
Great staff and convenient location.
- 5/5
Great hotel for business trip
- 4/5
Good price and cheerful decor. Nothing fancy but clean. Would stay for another 1 night stay, but not for longer stays
- 5/5
Perfect place to stay if you are planning a weekend in Menlo Park. It's an eady walk to the Guild Theatre or the lovely town center shops.
- 5/5
Great service, breakfast was just okay
- 5/5
We arrived really late and the staff was very helpful and courteous.
- 5/5
such a lovely place to stay
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Very clean and convenient. High end touches.
- 5/5
The staff is great.
- 5/5
The breakfast was delicious
- 5/5
Location, location, location.
- 2/5
I wouldn't repeat or recommend. For $300+ I got a remodeled motel 6, with stained carpet and a dirty toilet. The pics were pretty mis-leading, to me anyway. The bed was comfortable at least. If I wasn't so tired & short on time I would have went somewhere else.
- 3/5
Have stayed here before but this time had no hot water for a day and a half. The problem was that no said a thing. Will look into other places the next time we are up in Menlo Park.
- 5/5
Front desk is very helpful. Nice spacious Rooms
- 5/5
Kind and accommodating staff
- 5/5
.
- 5/5
Great place to stay, has everything you need plus a games room
- 5/5
Fantastic service! Loved the old-school vibes with an updated look. The giant hot tub was amazing — spent the whole evening in it.
- 2/5
The staff was friendly but accessing the room was inconvenient.
- 3/5
My initial room was underneath an AC roof unit so the noise was unbearable. I arrived at the hotel at 1:44 am. The staff (Ahmed) was kind and helped me move to a quieter room and got in there at 2:30 am. Just don't stay in the room near that AC unit and you're good.
- 4/5
Basic but convenient.
- 5/5
They have friendly and accommodating staff. The property is clean and with free parking. We enjoyed our stay.
- 5/5
Great location
- 5/5
This is our go-to hotel in the area. My grandkids live a few blocks over and we always stay here. It is consistently clean, quiet and comfortable. The spa/jacuzzi is always a treat and the in room coffee machine is great but the prize goes to the 24hour free Coffee/Tea/Hot Chocolate machine in the lobby! Love it!
- 5/5
Great reception
- 5/5
There were very few guests on the weekend. The agent at the desk was great--very friendly. Everything was very nice and clean. Beautiful lap pool/spa. Very nice.
- 5/5
Convenient, good value , polite and friendly staff.
- 5/5
Just needed our normal quiet, convenient place to sleep & shower for two nights while attending a family event in Menlo Park.
- 3/5
Very basic accommodations in a super noisy location at a relatively high price.
- 5/5
Nice and clean!
- 4/5
Very close to Stanford stopping center and about 8min drive to Stanford campus. I like the breakfast.
- 3/5
Every thing great except the room was very humid and blankets felt humid/ wet hard to sleep in the room
- 3/5
Breakfast, pool table, friendly people, great location, great parking Bad things Mold in bathroom and shower was disgusting, not given replacement towels when used ones were take, full beds instead of queens.
- 3/5
It’s basically a motel 6 with an ikea makeover. Looks cool and hip in the pics, but not so much. The “pool” is a joke. It’s a long skinny hot tub/water feature. It is as 90 degrees outside and the hot tub was hotter. Located on the main drag, need to walk a few blocks to restaurants or anything cute. It is super close to the Guild theater which is why we were there (seeing the Old 97s). So…if you are looking for basics, no frills, with a little makeover, this is the place. Buts definitely not boutique chic.
- 3/5
Room had an off-putting smell. Pics of the hotel suggest it’s more luxe than it is. But location is great if you are heading to the Guild or nearby eateries.
- 2/5
This is called a hotel, however the rooms are accessed outdoors which makes me feel uneasy. I was able to hear every single step every single flush and every single shower from the room directly above me. The walls must be very thin because I was able to hear everybody walking outside of the room as well. The hotel does not pay attention to detail because many items in the room were worn, had tears and unclean. The pictures online are a bit deceiving because it looks very new and updated. However, the rooms no longer look new and poorly maintained. The bathroom door did not close all the way, The walls were dirty, The chair in the room was torn. The bathroom mirror looked like it had not been cleaned in weeks, And was not cleaned a while at my stay either. The Expedia app said this was a four-star hotel, but it is a two maybe three star at best. It looks like an old Motel 6 that was renovated with the bare minimum.
- 4/5
Motel level hotel.
- 5/5
Really clean, comfortable and affordable. Friendly staff and great parking area
- 4/5
Really quiet over the Sunday night we stayed, only a few other cars. Very convenient to Stanford Hospital! Breakfast was decent. Great bathroo!Whatever cleaning solution they use, they used way too much! very strong chorox smell, had to leave room and turn on air to dissipate odor
- 4/5
Location is great. Walkable to supermarket and lots of dining option nearby. Close to Stanford University.
- 5/5
It was a great choice!
- 2/5
The included breakfast was decent but they were always slow to refill it and I felt it was because they were waiting for the time to run out so they wouldn't have to. Regarding the lost reservation I feel both Expedia and the Hotel were pointing fingers at each other. They have refused my request for a refund.
- 4/5
Didn’t like - one day the room wasn’t made up despite the placard on the doorknob. Didn’t like - no elevator Liked - breakfast Liked - location Liked - people at reception were nice Didn’t like - wake up call didn’t work twice, neither did alarm clock in room
- 5/5
Great motel with a cool coffee maker in the lobby. Easily walk to Menlo Park train stop, Stanford Shopping Center, Stanford University.
- 4/5
I am enjoying my stay. My only suggestion is to make sure the room is supplied with coffee cups, glasses & water. There were a few minor issues with an unplugged light but it is a very nice room.
- 4/5
The room and beds were comfortable, good lighting, but the dressing mirror had not been cleaned it was foggy. There was a Ping Pong table but only 1 broken ball left, the pool water was not clean.
- 5/5
Nice hotel. Best feature compared to all other hotels round is the noise isolation. You can barely hear the train.
- 4/5
Nice, clean, basic
- 3/5
A motel. Very expensive for what it is — but they’ve invested a great deal in fixtures, furniture, finishes, and for all of that effort I wanted to give it a 5. Unfortunately the traffic noise on El Camino is inescapable, and the staff are often hard to find, not at the desk, have a bell to ring but never come out. And you’ll get your bottled water the first night, but they’ll refuse you any more when you pay for a second night (at $256 a night). If you ask nicely you’ll get a little speech about reducing plastic waste for your trouble. A false economy at the price, silly, needlessly annoying. $180/night would be more fair for what and where the property is. Just $0.02 to management.
- 5/5
Everyone is curious and kind. Check in was very easy, room is very clean and the property has a lot of very nice Amenities!
- 4/5
Was good, complimentary parking. The complimentary breakfast was good too.
- 5/5
Great hotel very clean and cozy!! Recommend this hotel!!
- 5/5
It was nice, the double beds are not too comfy, but the room was super clean. Housekeepers were amazing! The only issue was that the front desk said that free breakfast was only Monday thru Friday.. additional cost sat and sunday... my sister who also stayed there was told free breakfast was every day. So on Saturday i didn't eat there because i thought it was extra. Why was i given misinformation?
- 4/5
Great free breakfast
- 3/5
A hotel charged over $300 per night should be much better than this one. Will not come back.
- 5/5
Clean and quiet
- 3/5
Hotel however is worn. If you don’t mind stains on the wall/floor boards/bathroom, then it works. Bedding seemed clean as well as towels. Plugs however were loose, only worked on top of desk lamp. Likely wouldn’t stay here again. Security also seemed iffy.
- 5/5
Clean ,convenient quiet
- 3/5
Ok
- 5/5
Wonderful place, very friendly, everybody was so kind, it has everything and great breakfast
- 5/5
Great hotel! The manager and staff were very accommodative to my needs. I will definitely come back to this hotel the next time I’m in town.
- 3/5
Small hotel with very few people working. Bathrooms need to be scrubbed down I heard this from many guests. DAily service didn't always happen. Breakfast was good and convenient. The patio area would be nice when the weather is good.
- 5/5
Great value for the price.
- 2/5
It wasn't as clean and neat as expected.
- 5/5
Welcoming and clean. Staff was warm and helpful. Super safe area and super convenient to The Guild Theater and restaurants.
- 1/5
It was not what they said . No breakfast. Fire pits didn’t work. Shower dirty old and crack in . Very very small room , said they had roll away bed no . Said it was a heated pool . My grandson slept on the floor. I would like to get credited back , very disappointed and upset.
- 2/5
Check in was great, directed us where to find our room not just on a map but walking us to the beginning of the hallway where it was located. We’ve stayed here about 6 times. We’ve always been happy with the hotel. This was the smallest room. The dresser had something sticky on the top. Super icky!!!! That being said the other stays were perfectly fine
- 2/5
I only gave it two stars as an overall rating because the staff was very kind. We checked in and tried to shower, but the tub would not drain so they put us in a different room. The second room had food left over in the refrigerator. The beds Were hard and the pillows were chunky and extremely uncomfortable. The walls are thin as paper. You can hear everything going on in the next room as well as outside. They allowed dogs which is great but there is no elimination area. There is also no elimination area within blocks. All cement everywhere even walking up the street.

The staff is friendly and accommodating. The grounds are clean. I gave it a 4, not 5 only because it is not a 5 star in terms of facilities. There is a jacuzzi, but no pool. The gym is adequate, but limited. There is no restaurant (they do serve a breakfast daily). Overall we had a great experience.

Location, patio, and breakfast were great but linens beds and mattresses not

it was also within walking distance to many local attractions- Stanford campus, shopping center and many restaurants. Highly recommend it !

Mold in shower. Main bathroom light didn’t work. Phone didn’t work. Breakfast hot food was cold. Safe on top shelf in closet. Couldn’t see into. Front desk personnel were very nice but couldn’t help. Outside room. This is really a motel. Left after 1 night.

It is basically a motel. You can get a lot better of a stay with this price.

Need some TLC

Checked in Sunday 7/30, Wi-Fi was not working. It started working Monday evening. Hot tub jets not working. Coffee machine stopped working, needed cleaning. No one available to clean. Full garbage cans from previous day. No one available to empty. Minor issues, but added up to a frustrating stay. Especially when paying $300 a night.

We didn’t get to stay at this property, because the AC was out in our room. They sent us to their sister hotel, Hotel Keen. The rooms were separate, the beds were not King size for one of the rooms as promised, there was no parking in the hotel. The receptionist was not helpful at all! We asked where we could park and she had no clue, she said if we parked in front of the hotel, we needed to move it at 8am the next day. Overall, horrible experience. Our friends were able to stay at hotel Lucent, so everything was a hot mess. I wish the receptionist was more helpful , it would have helped in a stressful situation.

It is very pretty from the outside and the main areas that are shared with the other guests. Staff was very nice and helpful as we moved our room from a 1 bed to a 2 bed. Perfect distance to get to Stanford Stadium and there is a Safeway next door. What was not great was how dusty the room was. As if it was not cleaned before we got in. The restroom also an almost empty toilet paper roll and the tub was slow draining. It was very hot inside and not matter what we did with the AC it was not working and the fridge was barely keeping our water cold.

Great location but bedding smelled like smoke. Stains on sheets and oily smell in all pillows. No one answers front desk.

Nice place, close to Menlo College. Nice staff and a nice breakfast in the morning. Very pleased with our stay. We would stay here again if in the area.

The property was very well renovated. Breakfast was a good bonus. The jacuzzi was actually a pool and kind cold. Enjoyed sitting at the fire pit at night. Room said it sleeps 4, but would be tight. Nice shower. Fan in bathroom was good. Mini fridge was good bonus and a microwave at the breakfast bar made it possible to enjoy restaurant leftovers. Stores and restaurants nearby. Easy parking. I would stay again!

I arrived after 9 pm and was checked into a room with unmade beds, trash on the desks and in the garbage can. Back to the front desk for a different room! No elevator, stairs only to the 2nd floor. A microfiber cleaning cloth was left in my room on the 2nd day. Good good offerings.

We had a wonderful stay however, there was a weird smell in the hallways not weed smell, but a trashy smell. Showers grout needs to be cleaned.

This was a quick overnight for us. The hairdryer didn't work and the front door didn't close easily. Also was charged $25 and have no idea why.

I really loved this hotel. Staff were super friendly, nice atmosphere, great hot tub and fire pit. The business center was quiet and perfect for hosting meetings with small teams. Fantastic location close to great restaurants. I’ll stay here again.

Stayed here when visiting Stanford. Super convenient location with shops and restaurants near by. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the breakfast in the morning was tasty with several options.
