We did one night here on our roadtrip. There is a great Irish pub across the street and 10 min walk to Beale. Bed was comfy

Handy location, staff friendly. Breakfast was great! Good that they lock front door to hotel to make us feel safer in the area First room we got had a bad smell but nice girl on front desk changed it with no hassle. Rooms could use a deep clean but overall fine

Don't be scared by the parking, it is easier than what you can oen imagine! I assumed cleaning came daily, but you need to hang a tag on the door to get cleaning services. We realized this too late when the cleaning service was done for the day.

You have to use the bathrooms in the lobby. I know it sounds weird but trust me it gave me life!!!! The amenities were above par and very comfortable. The bistro was delicious- make sure you get there on time.. lol. Overall a wonderful experience- i will be back for my next visit. The bistro was not available during lunch hours.

The vibe of the hotel was great! An effort was made all across. Very close to the Peabody Hotel ( we were there for a wedding). The staff was helpful and kind! The room was not clean, the door was broken and the sliding door in the bathroom kept getting stuck. No microwave option in the actual room.

Bad part: 1. no follow up from staff regarding requested items: - I haven't received my emailed receipt for my stay. - I haven't been contacted by management (per request) regarding the additional member points offered due to room smell issue (see below). 2. Room was located in 526 (top floor). Prime location because no neighbors, but the smells from the kitchen emanate into ALL rooms, at every level, on that end of the floor. As soon as I mentioned it to the staff, they looked at each other like they knew exactly what I was talking about and explained that it was an ongoing issue. They suggested that I speak with the manager and since I booked through a third party vendor, no discounts could be offered but they could give me additional member points. After several attempts to reach him (he was never available), I request that he contact me. I'm still waiting. Delayed breakfast service: I paid for the complimentary breakfast ($15/person). The wait was almost an hour (30min before he took our order and 30 min for the food to come) because there was only one guy. We didn't go back, even though I paid for the entire stay. Also, there are additional fees that don't cover the $15, which wasn't very clear. I added it to the hotel tab and still don't know how I was charged because I haven't gotten a receipt. Parking garage: no internal access and doors are locked on the weekend

They do not tidy up the rooms daily. Even when you put the little sign on the door

Friendly staff.

Staff is rude- told me I didn’t have a reservation (I did). I had to book a different hotel while I was at the airport then was charged a no show fee for the night “I didn’t have a reservation for”.
- 5/5
We enjoyed our one night stay very much. We would recommend upgrading the pillows. They were hard and flat.
- 2/5
However, our room was never cleaned despite repeated requests to both the cleaning staff in person, the “clean my room” tag hung on the door, and direct requests to the front desk. 4 days, 3 nights. Not ONCE. I had to go to the front desk to get towels and fresh sheets the third night, they wouldn’t even bring them up because only one person was working. Terrible experience, would never stay here again.

The staff was really helpful. High ceilings in the rooms was a nice touch.
- 5/5
orbits states that the property is pet friendly when in fact they do not accept any pets of any kind. After having several different conversations with the staff. The hotel manager stepped in and was aware of the huge error orbits did by misrepresenting the hotel in its ads. This almost cost us our reservation due to orbits mistake. Thank goodness the hotel manager took care of the situation and we were able to stay.

It is a corner location and on the third floor there was NO traffic noise. And no sirens during the night.

not as close to the bar scene as other places.. but still a classy place to stay...
- 5/5
Very clean, pretty, the bathroom doors kinda sucked. They were sliders.
- 5/5
Staff was great, rooms are clean and updated, hotel bar was great.
- 4/5
The room was great, however, leftover food and dental floss from a prior guest were left on the floor. It looked like they had been there for a while
- 5/5
The one restaurant was very good the one time we managed to eat there. It had very limited hours (closing for breakfast at 10:30 on a Sunday morning? Closing the bar at 10 on a Saturday night?) Good location and a nice, clean room.
- 3/5
Room needed a remodel

Wonderful hotel...loved the lobby! Our room was great...super cool AC...comfortable beds...really nice bathroom with sliding barn door to separate shower/toilet from sink/vanity..hot shower...lots of space...great view with very high ceilings so super quiet...walked to Bealle St.

The Room - I had to change the linens on my bed due to particles of food between the flat sheet and fitted sheet. The mattress pad had a LARGE stain on the side of it. The other bed had a small piece of skin with blood and a hair attached and a separate pubic hair. The first room that I was put in had been smoked in and there was an air purifier actively running and plugged in to the desk in the room, the smell was not getting better. I am still waiting for my refund from Expedia. Originally Expedia sent to a personal gmail account for the refund. Then the wrong card was used for the refund (not even sure who's card it is). I have had to be on the phone with Expedia and the Hotel manager numerous times! The manager has been great and patient while we both try to get Expedia to work through this.
- 5/5
Clean room and excellent customer service!!! Would definitely stay again.
- 3/5
There was an alarm going off in the room on the other side of the wall around 4am and 8am. The first front desk person was on it. The 2nd just looked at me “…ok is there anything else?”
- 4/5
Overall great place but a few things that affected the rating. Customer service was 10/10.
- 2/5
Dirty washcloth and robe was left in the room. The TV and phone also didn’t work.

We’ve stayed at various hotels in Memphis over the past 35 years, and this was our very favorite! The room was awesome, had a bay window that looked over the street and windows down the entry that let in a lot of light. The bathroom was large, well-appointed, and the shower was a great larger size with a great showerhead. The bed was comfortable as well. We’ve stayed at the Peabody even, and this was better! Loved the bar. The hot chicken was fabulous, and the breakfast was also delicious. Check out the first floor restroom and push the button for a fun experience! Will definitely stay here next time we are in Memphis.

Room was really clean and comfortable and the bar was nice overall good vibe! Nice staff as well!
- 5/5
The staff was very courteous. The room was clean and the bedding was very comfortable. Although my reason for staying here was to have a staycation and just relax in my room, the location of this property is great and very close to downtown attractions.
- 3/5
The parking garage attached to the hotel which was recommended by the hotel was a huge ripoff. We paid for three days and it did not work going in or out. Plus they double billed us and will not give us a refund. Huge disappointment!!!

This was our first trip to Memphis and we were very pleased with this hotel and location. Nicely appointed room and the staff were very friendly and helpful with all our questions. Great walking distance to many restaurants and bars and the hotel bar was great just needs to be open later. Liked the complimentary use of the umbrella when it was raining.

Love the aesthetics of the hotel. Is showing a bit of wear in the room. Little details. Bathroom linen were a bit rough. Not luxurious.

Great stay. Great location, good staff, nice clean hotel.
- 5/5
The staff was great, the food at breakfast was wonderful and the room was comfortable. We enjoyed walking in the area and shopping at nearby stores. I hope to return soon!
- 4/5
There wasn’t anyone at the front desk when we arrived. We waited several minutes for someone to show up to check us in. The bar was closed (Monday night). The bathroom in our room smelled of marijuania and there were no bottled waters in the room. Very nice hotel. We have stayed here several times in the past and were very well pleased. It seemed to be under new management. I did not see any of the people that I have met in previous stays. Not bad but not what we have been accustomed to in the past stays.
- 5/5
Clean, quiet and in walking distance to entertainment, restaurants and sports/concert areas.
- 5/5
The property was clean, pleasant and easy to get to a parking garage was next door to the hotel and we were in walking distance to Beil Street and the Forum for a concert
- 5/5
Clean room and friendly staff. The only gripe I have is a small one and it has nothing to do with customer service because that aspect was excellent. I just do not like these sliding barn doors for the bathroom that so many hotels are going to. But the hotel itself is great. We saw a show at FedEx Forum and I always try to get hotels within walking distance and this location was perfect.
- 5/5
Would definitely return again !!! Karen from Canada 🇨🇦

The staff was very friendly and professional. The room was clean and nicely decorated. The location of the hotel was great!
- 5/5
Absolutely outstanding hotel service and location. At all times I felt safe and secure. I highly recommend this place and they’re in the middle of renovations which can only make it even more superb than it already is
- 4/5
Overall....our stay was great! We would have loved to see more breakfast options..a laundry option, and possibly microwaves in the room, just to enhance convenience.
- 4/5
Lobby is beautiful, limited amenities, responsive staff
- 3/5
Hotel is cute and has potential, great location for walking to FedEx Center - it has not been kept up. It is need of deep cleaning and revamp of carpets. Rooms and general areas did not feel clean.
- 4/5
It was nice, directly across the street is busted buildings,
- 5/5
Great location to everything.
- 4/5
Good enough
- 3/5
The gentleman that checked us in barely said 5 words to me and didn't tell me any information about parking or the hotel until I asked. Also no luggage racks so we had to make two trips to get all our stuff to the room, and the parking garage is not easy to get to (you have to walk outside and around the hotel to get to it). The room was just ok- tub drain was clogged so we had to wait about 30 mins between showers for the water to fully drain out, cracks in the grout so water is definitely seeping in, also needs caulking around tub and floor tiles, also there was a large opening under the sink that seemed to go under the floor, pillows were also horrible!! The area is also extremely run down and does not feel safe with homeless yelling at you & your kids.
- 5/5
Too bad the restaurant was closed. This would have been an added bonus.
- 1/5
No restaurant or bar and carpets looked old and frayed. The room halls had a smell. The mattress was the worse I have ever “tried” to sleep on. Lumpy and uncomfortable. I didn’t sleep for three days. The area is very derelict. Boarded up buildings all around. Very uncomfortable feeling when walking outside to the car. No parking attached, street or a structure next door.
- 4/5
Nice clean room, friendly service. Very basic breakfast but fine. Easy parking next door. All the main bits of Memphis within walking distance. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby. The only disappointment was the hotel bar, which looks really nice and is fully lit up was not open. A shame a it would have been good to get a drink at the end of the day at the hotel.
- 4/5
Good location, notany dining options nearby
- 1/5
Deception on the listing! Room was dirty! No restaurant or bar. View was an old building all boarded up. Listing shows a beautiful hotel with grand events & amenities. It was more like a place for drug heads & prostitution. Never book this place!!!!
- 4/5
Overall the hotel was very nice. Great location downtown with restaurants and their minor league baseball stadium in walking distance. The hotel's restaurant was closed during our stay, but the staff was great.
- 5/5
The hotel was quirky and fun, the staff was friendly and attentive, and it was a great location.
- 5/5
It was a great experience. We loved the room and the peaople was so friendly ans made it super easy. Excellent service.
- 4/5
Restaurant and bar closed due to “renovation”. Good location and desk staff were excellent. Sadly the whole of Memphis is in a bad state of repair.
- 4/5
It was good but there was zero breakfast except muffins and juice. Not really acceptable with the price. Hard to park but room was nice, clean and comfortable!
- 5/5
Central downtown location that allows you to walk to many attractions. Room was clean and very tidy. Quiet rooms and nice windows for viewing people walking to work and starting their day. Hotel offered complimentary coffee and breakfast too. I would stay at this location again in the future. Parking and food are available right next door which are both convenient and handy too.
- 4/5
When I stayed here I was told the bar/restaurant was being renovated so it would be only open for the continental breakfast. The “breakfast” consisted of stale danishes, muffins, juice, granola and yogurt. No serving utensils and an extremely limited amount. Once the single platefuls were gone, they stated that was all they had, regardless of how many guests they had. Parking was in a deck next door and was an inconvenience because you have to call or text the company to be let out of the gate each time you had to exit. Overall it’s a decent hotel and I would stay here again only for 1 or 2 days.
- 2/5
I was placed in a room where they were working on the sink took some time to transfer me to another. No one assisted with the transfer
- 4/5
Did not like the no parking for the hotel. There is a parking space right beside location.
- 3/5
The hotel was in walking distance of local attractions. The restaurant and bar in the hotel was closed the whole time we where there and that was a big letdown

- 4/5
The hotel was clean but under some remodeling so the kitchen/bar was closed. They had a continental breakfast that was a joke with mini muffins and hot yogurt. They had a parking garage next to the property but no access from the garage to the hotel so it was kind of inconvenient. It was within walking distance of Beale street. The bed was a little hard but the room was clean and nice.
- 3/5
Difficulty checking in. Left with bug bites not sure if it was bed bugs.
- 4/5
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel itself is obviously older but well maintained. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. We did not like that our a/c had a cap on it and couldn’t be set below 68 degrees. We like it cooler to sleep and it felt a little stuffy at times. We were in town for a concert at Autozone park which was right next door—super convenient!! We felt safe in the hotel and even as a family felt safe enough to walk to the Peabody to watch the ducks, Huey’s, and Rendezvous for dinner. We didn’t love the parking. There is a parking deck next door but the entrance/exit and lugging your belongings at check-in/out was a bit inconvenient. The hotel offered complimentary coffee and croissants in the lobby which we appreciated as well as a free late checkout if desired. Overall I’d stay here again.
- 5/5
Good location, handy parking next door, Friendly staff, very comfortable bed
- 5/5
The front desk staff was very professional and treated my concerns with urgency. Very nice and clean environment.
- 4/5
Hotel was very nice, clean, and quiet. I loved the artwork, decor Would definitely stay again.
- 4/5
I was ready to give the hotel 5 stars but unfortunately I had to take a pint off because the restaurant and bar were not open at all during our stay (Friday-Sunday). It was one of the features that attracted me to this location. Otherwise everything else was great! I’d stay here again.
- 4/5
Pleasant hotel. Affordable but not cheap
- 4/5
Hotel location and lobby are nice. The bed was comfy. The bathroom arrangement with a barn door barely separating the tub and toilet from the sink and counter. So this door can’t be locked and someone in the room can hear everything going on inside the bathroom. The only bathroom light includes the outer vanity area so it’s not possible to use the bathroom at night without waking the other person. Why can’t we stick with traditional bathrooms with actual operable doors? Never staying here again just for this reason.
- 2/5
Carpeting was old and stained. The hotel really needs an upgrade. The website pictures are much nicer than the actual hotel
- 5/5
It would be nice if the rooms had a place to hang bath towels and a mirror closer or plugs for drying and styling hair.
- 3/5
The front entrance door was broken, the bed was not comfortable, too hard and the continental breakfast was not set up and both days I had to ask for the coffee to be refilled.
- 5/5
Friendly staff. Great location. 2 large windows provided city view & abundant light.
- 5/5
The area is depressed and the hotel is trying hard to attract visitors
- 5/5
What i didnt like was the parking
- 5/5
Close to Bealle street
- 5/5
Close to our venue

- 5/5
Nice place. Very clean and welcoming. Parking convenient. Easy walk to Beale Street
- 5/5
I loved this property I would definitely stay again !
- 2/5
The decor was attractive when you first come in. After that, it was terrible. There was never anyone at the front desk. My room smelled strange and the hot water did not work very well. The fridge also leaked and left the carpet all wet.
- 5/5
One of the best hotels I have stayed in
- 4/5
.
- 5/5
I chose Hotel Nepolean for the location, price, and restaurant on-site. I was not disappointed. The hotel was quaint and welcoming. My room was very clean and comfortable. The only negative was that the carpet felt damp to my bare feet which I contributed to the humidity and the lower temperature i kept the AC. Once I noticed the dampness I simply wore slippers while in the room. I had seen some fairly bad reviews about the parking but it was a breeze. Easy in, easy out. Payment was simple and it was right beside the hotel. I will definitely stay there again.
- 5/5
Hotel Napoleon is a great choice in downtown Memphis! Very stylish and conveniently located, this hotel boasts outstanding room. Give Hotel Napoleon a try!
- 5/5
Super comfortable, clean, easy access to quite a bit downtown! food was all amazing as well.
- 5/5
Only one complaint in that I could hear much street noise late at night, but I was tired from all my walking, so still slept well. Lol
- 4/5
Great big bathroom which I like, and the shower had great pressure. Could have stayed in there all day. Location was pretty good and conveniently close to everything but far enough away to be fairly quiet.
- 5/5
Visited Memphis for the weekend
- 5/5
I will stay here again. Walking distance to the FedEx Forum and Beale Street makes this very convenient. Friendly staff.
- 5/5
Nice hotel
- 5/5
It was seamless checking in and the staff was friendly.
- 3/5
The hotel itself was ok. However the lobby and bar were kept at 75 degrees and the manager told us no when we asked if it could be cooled down. The thermostat in the room wouldn’t go below 68 degrees, the shower leaked all over the floor. And the night time guy at the counter was rude. Overall I would choose somewhere else to stay when you’re in Memphis.
- 5/5
We have stayed here several times and highly recommend it if you’re traveling to Memphis!
- 4/5
Decent downtown location made it easy to walk to Beale street, FedEx Forum, and the baseball diamond. Room was pretty good had some hard water and rust stains in shower and the carpet was older but i guess they are replacing it soon. Solid time. 3.5 out of 5 stars
- 5/5
THIS PROPERTY WAS VERY CLOSE TO EVERYTHING BY BEALE ST
- 5/5
Loved it! Everything is in walking distance. Would definitely stay again
- 3/5
The front desk guy was on his phone whenever we entered the lobby area and only spoke when I got a soda. As if I were about to rob him the way that I was robbed. All of the photos need to be taken down! The rooms were just average and we paid $171 for absolutely nothing!
- 5/5
the lobby was decorated beautifully
- 5/5
We booked Hotel Napoleon after a last minute decision to stop in Memphis. This boutique hotel is both aesthetically and practically appealing. Check in was seamless as they had our room awaiting our arrival, the amenities were plentiful and we even found a fun little welcome bag upon entering the room. A huge surprise when we found our room serviced after a day of sightseeing, most of which was walkable from the hotel. As frequent travelers, this is not something we often count on these days. Parking is simple in the garage directly attached to the hotel, in and out privileges even allowed. We truly enjoyed our brief stay and hope to be back someday.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel, remodeled in the art deco theme. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. Non franchise affiliated. Added special touches like a welcome bag with water and a cookie package.
- 3/5
It’s a cool looking hotel, and the price isn’t bad. But it’s also not perfect by any stretch. After a nine hour drive to get there, the guy working the front desk trash talked our home city (he apparently grew up one town over). Some of our towels were not clean, which became more of a problem when housekeeping never came by our room the next day. Then, when I called the front desk for replacement towels, there was only one guy working the desk and no other employees, so he couldn’t leave to bring us any. And the walls are VERY thin. When the people one room over started smoking weed, we smelled it immediately. When they started having sex, we could hear everything. So, they were having a better time than we were. Also, our room’s AC didn’t work so it was hot as hell. Again, cool looking place, and maybe we were the victims of circumstance more than a bad hotel. But it was not ideal.
- 5/5
I will stay here for all future visits to Memphis.
- 3/5
Super cute property that has a cool history. Great beds! Very cold shower with little pressure
- 5/5
We had a great stay. Staff was engaging and helpful. The bar/restaurant was amazing.
- 4/5
All good, except for the parking! The hotel advertises “covered parking”!! The hotel does not have parking! The hotel happens to be directly adjacent to regular street parking that the general population uses (too)! It is not convenient and it is a “trick” by the hotel owner/staff to say that the hotel has parking! The concierge had his tail between his legs when asked about this situation, basically admitting “we” have had many complaints about our parking situation!? Also, there isn’t any ice to be found in this hotel (either)! Which I found odd! The front desk man did offer to have the concierge go and get me ice?! I umm, just said no, that is silly! Little things? Maybe, but those little things add up! Last item. Hopefully, when “you” check in, you’re the only person checking in?? Why? Because there is only one person at the desk, or at least for the time I was there, there was only one person at the desk? It really slows the checking in process! No breakfast and stale or leftover sweets on a very small mantle piece in the lobby! Not what anyone would expect at any type of “starred” hotel! But room was nice, if that helps?
- 5/5
We enjoyed our 4 night stay at the Napoleon. It’s conveniently located downtown so there’s lots of places to walk to. Staff was super friendly. We’ll definitely be back as I’m in Memphis often.
- 4/5
Too dim in room. Regret there was no armchair in room. It wasn’t clear that there was no dining option on Sunday.
- 2/5
I loved Memphis. The hotel was nice to the eye but the room service was terrible. We paid $17 a day to park in a parking garage because there is no parking for the hotel. It’s in a convenient part of downtown Memphis.. it’s literally close to everything
- 5/5
Employees are very kind and helpful!
- 1/5
It wasn’t until Expedia reviewed the audio recording from the night of my check-in that I finally received my money back—without an apology from either Expedia or Hotel Napoleon. The most concerning part is that if I hadn’t been persistent, I would have been charged twice with no recourse. Neither the hotel nor Expedia seemed to care about resolving the issue until I pushed for proof. If you choose to stay here, keep track of all your conversations and records—they may be the only thing preventing you from being unfairly charged. I can’t recommend a hotel that fails to uphold its word and offers such poor customer service.
- 5/5
One of the most unique hotels in Memphis!
- 5/5
Great location. Quite and safe.
- 5/5
Rickey and beau were amazing especially upon check in when they learned I was there for a work function I didn’t want to be at after a horrible day at work. They gave us a free bottle of champagne and snacks! Then offered to chill the champagne and hold the restaurant open til we got back from my event! Unbelievable! They also gave us the best room in the hotel! I highly recommend!

The hotel was fine. The outside area was a little rough.
- 5/5
Hotel was very clean... both the lobby and the room. Staff were very friendly and offered nice eatery suggestions. Easy walk to several areas attractions. The paid parking garage is adjacent to the hotel, but there isn't an inside connection, so you do have to walk outside a short distance.
- 5/5
Very nice property. Rooms was great. Street noise was the biggest complaint, but you will get that with any downtown stay. Would stay here again!
