Quality Inn Memphis Airport

The Tv didn’t work, which may have been caused by the bad weather. Internet was spotty, the comforter had stains on it and could feel the springs in the mattress that sagged to one side. The bathroom ceiling had mold spores. The included warm breakfast was the option to make a waffle, or one kind of cereal. Distance to the airport is nice, and to be able to park right in front of the room. We would not stay here again.

I stay in many low level chain hotels, but this one was disgusting , and it’s frankly disrespectful to the customers. It’s obvious that Expedia doesn’t put customer experience as a priority. It’s all about the profit, and selling properties such as Comfort Inn, Quality Inn, Motel 6, without remorse proves that. Though those properties do have some decent locations , they’re generally advertised inappropriately. I’m still a loyal Expedia Customer, but these dirty locations for $200 per night speaks for itself.

The first night, the tv stopped showing at 10pm. After informing the front desk, we still didn’t get the tv on.the next morning we went for breakfast at 6:45am and was told that the breakfast person didn’t show for work. There was no cook on site for Saturday breakfast. Saturday morning, we never received any clean sheets or towels.this was our first time in Memphis and it wasn’t good at all. For the amount of money that was spent it should have been better.

Too many things wrong about this place to name.

First room we were given both beds had stains and looked really gross, the second room was cleaner but the sheets had holes in them and the comforter had a old smoky smell to them even though we were in a non smoking room. The “breakfast” was just a waffle maker and a glass jar of Cheerios. Definitely will not ever stay here again when we can go elsewhere for the same price with much nice amenities.

The TV wasn’t connected and it took 2 staff to get it working. I checked it before we left the next morning and it was back to normal connected and not functioning ☹️

The room was filthy dirty, granted it was a smoking room, but it still could've been cleaned better, it was like being in a rundown old motel. Towels were clean, so we're the sheets. Pillows , horrible.

Heat never got warm

The room was awful. I didn't want to walk on the carpet. The bedspreads had holes. The blankets had holes, from smokers. The refrigerator had mold. The bathroom/shower was so small, couldn't close the door. The paint touch-ups didn't match many times. Too noisy. The check-in was done behind a plexi-glass opening. The gated parking lot was the only good thing.

Mold/mildew all over the sink, tub/shower, and toilet. If these things were cleaned properly and often this should not be the case. The sheets and towels were stained. The carpet was torn at the door and in several places in the room. Due to these circumstances we were too afraid to get ice or partake in the breakfast they offer.

Helpful and respectful staff

We just needed a room to stay for the afternoon/early evening because our train trip was delayed. The hotel is a bit rundown and in a questionable neighborhood, but the price was right and it fit our needs. On a positive note, we got an early check-in, and that was appreciated.

The room itself was not well maintained. The toilet was dirty, the TV was not working, and the bathtub did not drain properly. These issues made the stay uncomfortable. Breakfast was also misleading. There was no buffet breakfast available as advertised. Additionally, the photos online make the hotel look much nicer than it actually is in person. Overall, this hotel did not meet expectations.

The name and address on my reservation got changed and the hotel refused to honor my reservation. I tried working with the hotel and Expedia to find out how that happened and to get my money back, but they chose to only refund one of the two nights—even after several calls and emails with people who said they would help me.

Unclean room ask for non smoking, and burn marks from ashes was on the sheets and smell Marianna soon as I walked in the door.

Check in process was fine. Pretty quick. However, Hotel is very dated. Beds were not comfortable to me. Room was clean & spacious. Was very convenient for access to airport. I was upset to find out that I could have gotten the room for $25 less than what I paid on Hotels.com by going through actual hotel website. It worked for what we needed & the price we paid. Probably won’t visit again. Mainly because of smell in room.

The property was secure and I liked it. All residents had to have a gate access card. But upon arrival of my room, I noticed that there was a pee stench on both corners of the hotel as if people have been urinating outside. The AC wasn’t working properly. And I’m not gonna complain so much because it was a smoking room, but we did notice like stains on the spread.

External door to apartment allows noise in, exhaust from cars parked a few feet away. Thin walls let all sound through. Bedsheets are old and dingy with age. Bedsheets had cigarette burnholes, in a nonsmoking room. Service was polite and prompt at the desk. Water ran hot with good pressure. Heat/AC unit worked well. Soap was cheap and chalky. Carpet, furniture and fixtures all dated, giving 1975 Dodge station wagon energy.

The room was clean and the hotel clerk was nice. Will definitely stay next time I’m in town.

We were so tired... and still had 6 hours more to drive to get to the hotel and wanted to rebook to a closer hotel. Since, we did not get the warranty coverage (it was like 5 bucks extra) we could not cancel the reservation. Expedia even contacted the hotel to ask. The clerk said NO! that's why there are rules. **(Fair enough) It's our fault for not being prepared for holiday traffic. I just wanted to inform that the extra 5.00 insurance would have been a game changer. So, if your not 💯 percent sure on the time it would be a good idea to get it. ***We left at 10 am to go to Memphis and drove 15 and 1/2 hours in total, with only restroom stops and grab a sandwich on the go. It was brutal to say the least. As, far as the condition of the room.... Clean, no weird smell walking in. The beds were really comfy better than others I've stayed at. Bedding smelled fresh and clean. A little wear n tear in the shower but no biggie. There was a bit of noise from the airport but, not a big deal to me since we were exhausted from the drive. Breakfast... 🙊🙉🙈 Let's just say don't bother. 😔

We pulled in here late after a long day driving. The reason we chose this hotel is it has a gated parking area. That is the only positive. The carpet was nasty, the bedding had stains and holes, the bathtub had mold. I do not recommend!!!

The property was clean , bed was comfortable, sheets were clean. Hotel overall was old and run down, room had a very strong musty smell. Had it not been very late when we checked in I might have not stayed and looked for a different hotel but we had driven all day and it was late at night. Breakfast consisted of waffles, cereal, milk , yogurt and coffee. No juice or water to drink. If you’re picky I would not stay here. Neighborhood is not the greatest but the property has a gated parking lot.

My room needs to be fully updated. Mattress is either cheaper or worn out. Mattress cover as what appears to be cigarette holes. Pillows are worn out. In the morning. The coffee maker was nonfunctioning. On the other hand. Staff was very nice. Breakfast is a joke.

Disgusting. Sketchy area, room smells of mildew and smoke that you never get used to, missing smoke alarm, toilet has actual cracks, etc. The absolute worst I have ever stayed in. I should have left but it was late at night, I had an early flight, I had pre-paid and I was afraid to look around the area. This would never pass a health inspection. Never ever stay here.

I love this place

It is in a really unsafe area of town, which is why it (and other places around) are gated. It makes it a little inconvenient going in and out. Our first room (smoke free) REEKED of smoke. Since I'm allergic, I asked for another room. It also smelled of smoke, but not as bad. We went to the store and bought some spray, but it didn't help. I coughed all night long, and couldn't sleep. The TV remote didn't work, we had trouble logging onto internet. The guy at the front desk was very helpful, but it was aggravating to spend an hour trying to get things going. Also, the ice machines don't work, and apparently haven't for years. Overall, it had a dirty appearance (probably because of the smell) but I couldn't really see anything dirty. However, the sheets and bedspreads had multiple cigarette burns in them. The breakfast was ok, but not over abundant. I would never stay there again, especially for that price! (BTW, I usually try to give something positive, but couldn't find much here).

First of all the room was filthy. Dirty walls, soiled bedding and dirty bathroom. You know it’s dirty when your kids say this dirty! The room smelled like mildew. The guy at the front desk although not rude, was not very helpful or nice. Do NOT stay at this location. Also, no elevator!!!

First thing when you arrive at the hotel it is gated and you need a room key to get into the area. The checkin was ok and the guy at the desk was very nice and quick. When we got to the room we were not to happy as the entire area smelled of pot and cigarettes in a non smoking room. The carpet had tears in it, and the room didnt have a clean feeling. The bathroom toilet had a black line around where the water goes and the shower had soap residue in it. Seems it hadnt been cleaned for quite some time. The beds were ok and even had a couch in the room. Water pressure in the dirty shower was good. You could tell the room hadnt been rented in a while or there is a lack of housekeeping. The wash machine was broken and only one of the oce machines were functional. We never checked out breakfast as we were just ready to leave. The hotel is also located near the airport so at 430am you will be woken with airplanes which seemed every 5 minutes one went over. Not a good place if you need a good nights sleep. How this place ever got the rating it has baffles me. The back of the property is in poor shape and looks to possibly have people living at it. I would never stay at this place again. I hope you all dont stay at this location also until this place is cleaned up. Definitely a thimbs down. Stay away from this place

Rooms are nice size. Went barefoot in the room my feet were dirty from the carpet.

Place is very filthy and stink and very dated not a pleasant stay at all! Coat and ice machines didn’t work vending machine empty front desk charged me two dollars for a hot Coke!

They made me put up $50 extra at check out (which I knew nothing about. They wanted cash. I had $100 bill they couldn't break it. Gave credit card which on check out they stated I'd be credit back my $50 within 2-3 days. I have photos of room. This hotel should not have been $96.72.

My bare feet got dirty just walking on the carpet in the room.

This was my second time staying in this hotel. It was just the same. Clean room, working fridge (needed for medication), comfortable sheets and pillows. The only thing that I didn’t like was the smell.

It had a gate you had to have your room key to enter to rooms and parking. Felt safe.

ONLY one complaint. I was there for five days and the downstairs ice machine was broke the entire time. I have a bad back situation and it is difficult to climb steps just to get a container of ice! FIX THE MACHINE! Also, the complimentary breakfast has been reduced to cereal and a waffle. Not good. I had no choice but to eat out.

Unfortunately, I got ringworm from this hotel. Overall, it wasn't a bad stay, but for that reason I can't give this a high rating.

Terrible experience

One of the worst hotel stays we’ve had. Located in a pretty rough neighborhood so we did not feel safe staying there. The bathroom was really unclean and the sheets had stains.

Clean room, comfortable bed, very basic buffet breaks-fast with no protein (eggs, bacon or sausage), no OJ only apple juice. Only one restaurant in the area.

The first room i tried to check in wasn’t even ready bc maintenance had kicked me out. The room smelled of smoking although I had paid for a nonsmoking room. The next room i was put into also smelled of smoke. I could not tolerate the smell and was up all night. There was also a lot of noise from outside. I had to check out around 3am and find somewhere else. You could not pay me to stay there another night. I regret staying there.

Key card didn't work on the room, but they quickly gave us a new room. Hotel wasn't the greatest, but it was clean. Was disappointed that they didn't restock our coffee for the next day. Was in an industrial area so nothing to do around it!

My TV was not working when I checked in, After letting the FD know about the issue he came upstairs and said he would let me know in 5 min… well that employee went home shortly after never returning to my TVissue. I had to go over the issue with the the new FD relief guy..and after 4 hours my TV was finally back up and working!

Needed to stay a night close to the airport and this hotel was the only one with availability. Property was very old and outdated. Stairway smelled like urine and the room had a funky stench. You are also able to hear all the traffic from outside the hotel. I do not recommend staying at this place.

This property had worst service than a motel that I've stayed in. The room was disgusting, there were items from previous tenants in the room. There was food under the beds as well as trash on the floor. There was powdered all around the edges of the walls like freshner was poured but not vacuumed. The towels had hair on them and the tub was so filthy that I had to buy a cleaner to take a shower. The shower curtain had some stain that I couldn't tell if it was mold or just stains. Worst place I've ever been in, and the workers told me I had to wait until the next day for housekeeping to bring fresh linens.

The carpet was not vacuumed to a clean standard(s). From experience: Hotel room cleaning standards for vacuuming include: Vacuuming carpets, rugs, and furniture: Vacuum carpets, rugs, and upholstered furniture thoroughly to remove dirt and debris.

Bathroom door wouldn’t move freely because it had swelled. Bathroom light wasn’t working. Trash wasn’t being picked up around the motel. Whole place reeked of cigarette smoke. Fridge froze our food. Noisy, obnoxious guests weren’t managed—had their door open and were using marijuana while I was trying to come in with my children.

Dirty room with something that looked suspiciously like a little dog’s poop. Dirty carpet. Toilet bowl and bathroom dirty. The first room they assigned us reeked of stale cigarettes. There were also dead insects. It was like the room was cleaned after the last guest. I literally wiped dirt from the bathtub using toilet paper and showed the front desk. Also talked to the manager in the morning and all I got was “this will be sent to upper management”. The sorry excuse for breakfast was bread (no butter available), waffle that tasted like cardboard I couldn’t even take a 2nd bite and watered down orange juice. This place was a dump! The Quality Inn was absolutely below standard to what I was expecting. The rooms were very smelly . When we arrived on 12th September for 2 nights we were shown five rooms all sub standard. It was Kate when we arrived so we had no choice other than to stay. We didn’t stay second night. They wanted to charge me another £30 for not staying which I refused to pay. It is certainly an unsafe place to stay. The swimming pool was not useable disgusting and surrounding pool area. Breakfast ok. Staff amible. Extremely disappointed. Other guests also at the desk complaining dirty sheets/bath. I could go on!!!!!!!!

This appears to be an extended stay type hotel in a not-so-great neighborhood. The smell of marijuana permeated the room through my door. I should have left but was too exhausted to drive. Nice people, though!

There were stains on the head board of the bed. A dirty shoe print in the shower. And a used soap bar in the shower. Also a poop stain in the toilet. We also had stained sheets of food that could have been Cleaned with a wash. Very disappointed with how unclean the room was.

An older hotel, no vending machines, only one working ice machine, and only one washer and dryer. Property has gated parking. Overall it's better than some of the other hotels I've stayed in.

Just an average older hotel, price was decent, and it was close to the dealership that is repairing my Kenworth.

There was no ice in the ice machine, no soda's in the machines, no snacks in that machine either. Was told that the funding for this place was not good, thats why they had nothing in the machines. Several of the electric plug ins did not work. The phone in my room did not work. The carpet was dirty, several spots where something was spilled. Had to go to a store to get ice, and snacks. No convenience's at all. The pictures that they show on the internet of this place is a complete joke. It looks nothing like what it really is.. I think I deserve a full refund. I will never stay there again and I plan to tell everyone not to stay there either. Ruined my whole vacation.

It was a roach in the room! Elevators none! There was no elevator to bring the luggages up to your room on the Second floor, but overall customer service was great!

The tub was nasty with blood in it, the bed had bed bugs, and the carpet on the floor was torn up. The bottom of the room door had outside bugs coming into your room . The pool was dirty has not been cleaned. The curtains was nasty look like they never get washed. TV stations did not always show and it was no rain. I want never be back just horrible & awful . DO NOT STAY THERE DONT DO IT IF YOU DO YOU WILL HATE YOU DID .
