Parking limited. Hotel being remodeled eith room upgrades not working in regards to bedside lights not working, bathroom lighting insufficient for size of bathroom and no bedside alarm clock available. Room was clean.

My biggest complaint is that it only had 4 working channels and it was loud
- 2/5
Place appeared to be renovating. Stuff not working, smelled like mildew. I would not stay again
- 3/5
The hotel was under renovation. The fitness center, swimming pool and ice makers were not working. When we arrived the phones were not working either. You can see where they had discarded old mattresses and furniture on the side from our window. The continental breakfast was good with a variety of options and cleaning and wait staff accommodating.

We had a medical emergency and attempted to cancel our reservation for DAYS but we were never able to reach anyone at this property. We ended up paying for rooms that were unable to be used. Total ripoff.
- 5/5
The TV said it needed to be configured for its time, so I had to spend several minutes understanding how to deal with it. Other than that, a very good stay.

We had stayed at this location in the past and it had been a very nice hotel. Very disappointed at what happened that evening and what this hotel has become. We have trusted Hotels.com listings and use this app on most of our travels. Now we are unsure whether we should continue to do so. Also we should not be charged for this room as the hotel was unsafe and should not have been listed on your site.

Property was old and not well taken care of. I could see mold in the grout in the bathroom. Some of the tile was coming off the wall near the floor. Weird smell, like trying to cover up smoke smell.
- 3/5
First, the pool area is very unappealing. The caution tape everywhere is a turn off. The rust on the door makes customers don't want to go in. The so call breakfast is nothing like the pictures that are in the breaking area. The carpet on the first floor by the elevator needs to be chaged. The elevator floor was disgusting but the yried to clean it. The rust on the bathroom door in room 327 needs to be cleaned. The mold in the shower on the left side on the ceiling needs to be cleaned. The smell when you walk in the doors by the front desk is foul. The sheets on the bed made me itch. I'm thinking they was changed from the stay before me. I had to sleep in my own bedding that I bought from home. The last but not least. Why is room 327 door sign is a piece of blue painters tape. I have pictures of everything that I mentioned.

The breakfast is always good at Fairfield. The beds were clean and comfortable. We called the hotel at least 8 times and no one answered. I paid Booking.com in advance. The receptionist told me my credit card was declined. She doubted that I had already paid and told me to call Booking.com. The en suddenly she said it was okay??? Our room had a musty smell. Then later we realized the carpets were really wet in certain areas. The pool is in total disrepair!! Jacuzzi was roped off with crime scene tape. Same with one ladder out of the pool. Holes in the walls around jacuzzi. Tile around pool was filthy. I was afraid to go in! This Fairfield was a disaster! Very disappointing!

Good location. Room was recently updated - new carpet in room and lobby. Renovation still underway which is apparent in and around property.
- 3/5
Hotel was under remodel a lot of construction areas/ large dumpsters in the parking lot. Staff were extremely nice and helpful. The bathroom light in our first room wasn’t working they were quick to move us into a better room.

Great place to stay
- 4/5
Very good
- 4/5
Needs to fix indoor pool. They advertise indoor pool but they had damage areas areas around the pool which was unsafe. Carpet is old. Elevato needs new carpet old and tattered.
- 3/5
The TV remote was dead and wouldn’t turn on the TV so I tried for over and hour to contact the front desk using the room phone which was unplugged and calling the number direct on my private phone - it just rang and rang no answer I am handicapped and requested a handicapped this was not it unfortunately. There are better hotels in the area I should have spent the $20 more..
- 1/5
Front desk was rude. I would ask something and he would tell what! The elevator smelled horrible the carpet was torn and dirty. The room the bathroom door didn’t close, noisy. Pool had a funky film over it and hot tub was not working and it was dirty…
- 3/5
The room did not have an iron and ironing board. The front staff was awkward and didn't take my ID to get my room or ask for my name which was concerning. He also said he could not give me a recipe which I did not like. The hotel also had a bunch of random little weird things about it. Ramps into the entrance were in a weird place and we're very steep. The lobby and elevator was really small. The furniture was mismatched in the room. The sprinkler was covered from when the ceiling was painted. The TV on the room was mounted crooked and off-center.
- 4/5
It was just what I needed
- 5/5
Front desk agent was polite
- 2.5/5
Well. When the water wasn’t working in the first room they switched us promptly to another room Front desk really needs hospitality training. The breakfast was very skimpy and just not very good. The front reception and hallways seemed so run down

Hotel was run down and not terribly clean. Our room had a strong musty smell and rusted fixtures.

The pool had caution tape and it was rusty the photos on the internet is nothing like the real site no towels dirty comforters and pillow slips most worst stay for me and my grandkids I hate I choose this hotel never again
- 1/5
We had to pay security to watch our trucks so our personal items would not get stolen
- 2/5
I have rated it his location poor because they were NOT honest up front. We did not have a TV for one and a half days due to this hotel being newly renovated. They asked us to move to another room because we had no TV service and then told us NO ROOMS had Internet service. However the lobby had A functional TV. The pool area is a mess until they finish it. But the front desk was nice even though they were incorrect in their knowledge. We didn’t have room service because they only do room service every 2 days unless you request it ( no one told me until check out day) we stayed 2 days. They had great breakfast but cook according to how many guest are present at the time so when we came we had to wait for breakfast. However once they get up and running I think it will be better. I will give them another chance but will ask questions of what to expect once I arrive.
- 3/5
The staff were friendly and room was nice, the bed comfy and room was clean. Public areas look a bit tired and the lift is in need of a good clean not a problem for a one or two night stay. My problems were with noise. The outside noise at 5am was intolerable, I know I cannot blame the hotel totally for that but location is key and better windows. There was also excessive noise from neighbouring rooms which was disturbing. You can clearly hear conversations/phone calls so be careful what you say out loud. I was woken up at 5am by external work noise and at 6:30 am by my neighbour putting their TV on.
- 5/5
It was a great hotel great location
- 4/5
Check in was pleasant. Room numbers are sheets of paper taped to the walls. Door does not shut properly. Water does not get hot in shower.
- 4/5
It was the cheapest and just as good. I never eat the free breakfast so I can’t compare that part. I stayed there for two days and it was just fine to me.
- 3/5
You only get like 5 channels in the room and its all religious shows. Only way to access wifi was through an app.not very user friendly.
- 1/5
Room was gross hair everywhere and smelled like urine. Ladders for pool broken and unsafe
- 5/5
Rooms were great, beds comfortable, staff friendly. What else could you ask for
- 5/5

Hot tub was out Multiple items in our room missing or inoperable and had to switch rooms Got locked out the server second day because our cards stopped working and took a half an hour to get into room. Not a good experience
- 5/5
No problems. Nice desk staff

Very disappointed in our stay. Hotel was not as clean and nice as it looks in the pictures. Staff was friendly, however we were not happy that they did not notify us that they were in the process of redoing their pool area until we got there. They let us go across the street to the Spring Hill Hotel to use their pool however that one was not very clean either and their hot tub area was under construction as well that had a trap over it with lots of dust everywhere. The water in the pool was ice cold. One of the main reasons we booked this hotel was for our children to be able to go swimming. If we would have known that they were doing work on their pools we would have stayed somewhere else. The beds very uncomfortable as well. I’ve stayed at super 8 hotels that were more comfortable and nicer than this one.
- 1/5
Property looked run down pool area was absolutely terrible caution tape around the broken ladder hot tub not working and disgusting looking toilet broken in room shower curtain rod broken in room I would not recommend
- 5/5
Friendly staff. Pool and ice machine. 6am breakfast.
- 5/5
Quiet and safe and easy parking
- 2/5
The staff/management was AMAZING, however the property needs a major overhaul. We moved from a much less expensive chain to splurge on our last night in Memphis, we should have just stayed at the previous hotel. Not we expected from a Fairfield at all.
- 4/5
The pool is in poor condition… The railing was not secured when going down into the pool. It is broken and moves in different directions, the place where this broken part is sharp and rusty. It is not safe, especially for children
- 3/5
Room was ok, bed ok. We had ants in our bathroom and king size bed had queen size top sheet and comforter that did not fit the bed properly. Breakfast was good.
- 5/5
Breakfast, location, and customer services was amazing
- 3/5
La atencion al hacer check in. Las Cobijas de la Cama estaban sucias. El mini refrigerator no servia. El breakfast estancias o menos es mejor el del Hampton inn.
- 5/5
The staff was fast and friendly!
- 1/5
We were suppose to stay at this location. When arrived they moved us to Springfield sister hotel. Same parking lot. That hotel was extremley dated. Carpet worn and thread bare. Sink didnt drain. If wanted ice they needed to go to other hotel AM breakfast, one staff doing kitchen, front desk and clean up. Very disspppinting and feel for staff.
- 1/5
We got to the hotel and were informed that none of the tvs worked, however the lobby tv was on. Our first room’s door did not work. The receptionist had to let us in, and then informed us that she would have to let us in everytime we needed to enter the room. Once we got in the room the tv cords were all pulled out. The light fixture in the bathroom was sitting on top of the sink in the bathroom. The bathroom light did not work. I told the receptionist we wanted a different room, she only offered to cancel our reservation. We traveled 7 hours, and were extremely tired and most hotels were booked because of a convention. Canceling the reservation was not an option because we would have nowhere else to go. We were given a room with one king bed, and our original reservation was a room with two queen beds. Being that it was three of us, I stayed with a friend that lived in the city because my family and I would not all fit in the hotel bed. The receptionist was kind and told us that she could only offer a $10 discount but to speak with a manager that could do more about our inconveniences. During my entire stay, I was never able to meet a manager because he never came. At the end of the reservation our discount from the receptionist was not included, and we were charged an extra $50 fee that we were not aware of. I am still waiting to get in contact with a manager. The room we ended up staying in had a dead bug in the shower and foot prints on the chair, also hair in the bed.
- 3/5
Average accommodations.
- 5/5
The staff had thought about everything a traveler could need to make their stay great. Thank you!!
- 4/5
I stayed here as well as a co-worker. We repeatedly had problems with our door keys. We had to be let into our rooms when we first arrived because there was some sort of problem. Then when we did get keys those keys more than once only worked once and then I had to get another key especially was that true when they had come to service my room, When they did come I actually had to go get coffee for my room as none was left.
- 5/5
Staff was. Pleasant and helpful
- 2/5
We requested coffee but the only had decaf
- 2/5
I have stayed a several Marriott hotels and have been very satisfied. This one, not so much. While the staff was friendly and helpful, the building needs some work. The front automatic doors struggled to open and sounded as if they were going to come off the rails. My room had no remote for the TV so I asked the desk and was immediatly handed a remote, but the OK button did not work so I could not enter anything. They then went to unoccupied rooms, found me one that did work, but the internet for the TV was down so none of the apps worked. There was a pleasant smell from a plug in when I walked into the room. It ran out of juice the next day and I realized why it was there. The musky smell of urine and wet dog came wafting to my nose. Luckily, I wasn't spending a lot of time in the room as my day kept me out of it.
- 3/5
Pool is inside so it strongly smells like Clorox and breakfast had limited options.
- 4/5
The property is getting old and needs to be renovated and updated.
- 3/5
The property was nice and clean and the staff were very friendly, but our room had a strange musty smell and the carpet felt damp. There was also mold growing on the bathroom ceiling.
- 5/5
Everyting is good
- 4/5
Had a handicapped room (105) but the toilet was a standard hieght. Breakfast was very good and night clerk very accomidating to room location and type. Bathroom floor ceramic tile cracked but not an issue to comfort. Needed to move rooms from 107 due to refridgerator temperature dial not working. Bed was comfortable. Good value.
- 2/5
It was dirty and had an odd smell. We found someone else’s dental floss (used) on the floor. The HVAC wall unit didn’t work. For breakfast it wasn’t ready at 6 and we were told 5 more minutes. Ten minutes later another guest asked and was told just 5-10 more minutes.
- 1/5
Had a family emergency while Expedia was shut down due to the global IT event and I could not get through to cancel my reservations before the cutoff. Offered to move the reservation through Expedia and pay any transfer charges, but the hotel just wanted the free money. I will never stay there and I will never use Expedia again.

Nothing
- 5/5
Very nice stay. Great toppings for the waffles!
- 4/5
Day of check in, after driving 15 hours there was no one at the check in counter, there was a sign saying be back soon. This was at 9:00 pm. We stood there waiting for at least 15 min before someone showed up to check us in. Loved our room, very spacious and comfortable. Chose a hotel with a pool and then the room the pool was in was so hot we could not use it. I have never experienced a pool room that hot, it had to be well over 100 degrees in there.
- 5/5
Great location
- 5/5
The best thing I liked was how comfortable the bed was. I had a very good night sleep.
- 3/5
This hotel was acceptable for us as we were only staying for an overnight stop during a long road trip. It is definitely in need of a facelift as there were many worn spots in the carpet and it felt slightly outdated. Breakfast was a little disappointing. There were not as many options as we typically find in a free breakfast offering including absolutely no juice options which disappointed the kids. The staff was very friendly and it was convenient to be able to walk to a restaurant (Texas Roadhouse) for dinner.
- 4/5
they were doing renovations, so loud when we got there, also workers wandering past our window. The air conditioning was not great
- 5/5
Loved this hotel - everything was clean and comfortable.
- 1/5
Pool area was the heat temperature of a sauna and smelled of strong chemicals. Hotel was unable to provide covers and pillows for pull out sleeper.
- 4/5
Good, comfortable.
- 3/5
Room was okay, Booked Queen Double Beds they ran out so we were given a king unit. Elevator not working. Doors on end of building were locked. Breakfast was very limited. They said they were under Maintenace?
- 3/5
The chlorine in the pool was HORRIBLE! We went to breakfast an hour before it was over and there was no syrup left, just an empty container. When I asked about getting more, the attendant told me there was none left. Everything else during our stay was mediocre. But the gentleman who checked us in was very kind and attentive.
- 1/5
Definitely not what I expected in a bad way. Black mold was all over the curtains. They wouldn’t refund me. Things were outdated. Waffles had no syrup…… The positive thing was that the kids enjoyed the pool. Pretty sure we won’t return
- 1/5
Reserved mobility accessible room for 4 nights. This hotel does not have any handicap rooms! Breakfast was not restocked after morning rush so 8:30 meal was a joke. Evenings had individuals, non customers, sitting on the curbs and one bench outside hotel with insufficient lighting. But the best part was booking through Expedia I was charged over $73 more than what was stated on invoice at checkout! Would not recommend hotel or Expedia!
- 5/5
The pool was open late for the kids.
- 4/5
The place was a little older and could use a little update, but was still a good stay
- 4/5
Part of a hotel complex so I liked that my parked car was in view of three hotels.
- 3/5
We picked this site because of indoor pool… it was not open!
- 5/5
Had no problems.
- 2/5
Parking was good. The side door was taped opened were it could be opened by anyone, very unsafe. Toilet paper dispenser was broken, missing half of it (a $5 fix). No toilet paper in our room and never had any for the two days we were there, had to go get some from a store. Asked for toilet tissue when we were about to check out, still had an excuse for not having any, they lied because the lobby area restroom had some, yet we never did. Excuses, excuses, excuses!!!
- 3/5
Breakfast was average otherwise everything was good though price was on expensive side per everything
- 1/5
Nasty
- 5/5
I wondor when you will get back my deposit?
- 1/5
Everything about this place is bad. Don’t waste your money
- 3/5
Our stay was not very good. Getting the TV to work was impossible with the input requests. Our toilet would not flush in the middle of the night. On top of this, there was no drinking order by Memphis, which is not the hotel's fault, but they did not have sufficient bottle of water for the guests nor coffee or tea. Breakfast was meager.
- 2/5
The room was in poor shape. There was evidence of a previous water leak that had not need repaired fully. The breakfast had no protein and was very limited in options. They bed was surprisingly comfortable based on the conditions.
- 2/5
The normal, reliable Marriott quality of service was AWOL this weekend, along with all of the staff this morning at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Memphis East/Galleria location. Upon arrival, Friday night, the 22nd, we ran into oddities, as the woman on the front desk gave us wrong information about the pool hours and breakfast hours. We didn't find out about the error in breakfast hours until the next morning, as we arrived too late for breakfast because we were told it would be open an hour later than it was. Then this morning, the hotel lobby was completely empty, except for a couple guests. It wasn't readily apparent if we were witnessing an employee walk-out or some sort of protest, but the lobby this morning at 8 am was completely devoid of hotel staff. No one was at the front desk, no breakfast staff, no managers, and no housekeeping! One patron had been waiting in the lobby 15 minutes, by the time we arrived for anyone to show up, but none had. About 8:30 am, a young man, who looked like he had just woken up and judging from his hair and attire, came in and said that he was the new general manager. Lots of luck to him, given the state on the hotel this morning. Apparently, the hotel staff and current management needs a total overhaul! He did the only thing he could to provide us with breakfast and sent us to the sister property next door, a Springhill Suites, also Marriott. Having to truck across the parking lot wasn't the most p
- 3/5
Plain Jane, disappointed.
- 2/5
They were prompt. Breakfast food was cold.
- 5/5
Super friendly and helpful staff. Very clean lobby and room. Comfortable and quiet. Good variety for hotel breakfast.
- 3/5
We had reservations for a King size bed. At first, the service person at front said they were oversold of rooms with king size beds. She came through with a suite with a king size bed. Kudos to her. The room was clean, but some of the other areas of the hotel needed cleaning. Breakfast was lacking several items such as regular milk, bread and fruit. The host was working hard to accommodate, but may not have had all the supplies.
- 3/5
Room was clean and comfortable. New normal seems to be no room service on multi day stays unless requested.
- 3/5
Hard to fined
- 1/5
Hotel staff was very unhelpful and the manager Suraj is absolutely horrible at his job. I was double charged for two rooms and it has been over three weeks and I have still not received a phone call back after numerous times reaching out. The hotel was not that clean and definitely needed some remodeling.
- 5/5
The room itself was comfortable and clean. The bed was super comfy, and the shower was to die for. We had an issue with the bathroom light shutting off arbitrarily, and that was repaired the day we reported it. Amazing. We did learn that the hotel had just been acquired by Marriott five days before our arrival, so the area manager was on site quite a bit. The breakfast was somewhat sparse and boring. The girl who took care of us the four days we were there did everything in her power to accommodate the guests, having quite a bit of supply issues. For instance, the dairy products were not delivered, so she arranged to have a large container of creamer sent (or purchased) for us. This little young lady worked her fanny off for the guests. It was quite commendable. Although we were unable to use the pool, it did appear clear, clean and inviting. Parking was somewhat sparse, however, we like to park where we can see our vehicle from our window. There are several hotels in this area, easy walking distance from one to the other, and we did feel safe. This hotel is in an area that is in close proximity to really good restaurants, shopping and highway access.

Funny orange stain on tile under the vanity. Poor quality pillows. but pretty nice for the price
