Well I had no idea I was paying two hundred ten dollars with breakfast witch is the best part but I had no idea I’d be paying to stay in a coast guard barracks with guards on duty and a lobby full of safety meetings and stuff but it was ok besides that I guess

They “accidentally” over charged my room by $200. I’m sure if I wouldn’t have noticed they would have never corrected it. Very short staffed. Rooms are clean but run down and in need of updates.

We didn’t actually stay at the Crown Plaza. The National Guard took over the hotel so we were moved to the LaQuinta Inn. It was very nice once they fixed a shower problem. They even shuttled us back and forth to the Crown Plaza for our breakfast we prepaid for.
- 5/5
Great customer service, I look forward to coming back. The deposit was a shock so be prepared i think it was like 100 pre night

My reservation was canceled by the hotel due to overbooking. Worse yet, they lied to me upon checking-in claiming that “it was cancelled by Expedia”. They then offered me a “free” stay at another, their “sister hotel”; but after dropping me and my family there, they wanted to charge me for the stay. So another lie. I had to stay for one night there because it was late and inconvenient to find an alternative. Very disappointed by the way the Crown Plaza manager treated me with her super ego (refuse to listen), no apology (blame on Expedia instead), and many lies along the way……Not a truth worthy admin team here right now; Hope things get changed in the future.

It was only adequate. Not what I expected from a Crown property. They were mostly focused on the huge amount of Bational Guard soldiers. It reminded me of my Army days, except the Army didn't pay for a prime? accomodation.

Not as close to Beale as i wanted but very impressed with staff. There is a shuttle to Beale area so that was helpful

I am writing to request a refund or compensation in the form of points due to several issues I experienced during my recent stay. When I arrived on Thursday in the pouring rain—after multiple delayed flights—the shuttle driver was extremely rude to the couple dropping me off under the covered drive. He became visibly impatient as I gathered my belongings and made sure I had everything, which created an uncomfortable and unwelcoming start to my stay. At check-in, the front desk associate went on at length about the breakfast served at the hotel. Only later did I discover that it was not complimentary, which felt misleading and added to an already frustrating arrival. When I got to my room, I attempted to use the restroom but couldn’t because the toilet chain was broken. Maintenance was initially sent to the wrong room because the front desk didn’t verify my room number, causing further delay. Later that evening, when I tried to take a bath, I discovered there was no hot water. On Friday, I received a text message asking what could make my stay better. I responded, but I never received a reply or acknowledgment. This lack of follow-through and communication was disappointing. Overall, the service and condition of the property did not match the price I paid. The experience felt comparable to a much lower-tier hotel, and certainly not what I expected during such an important weekend as the St. Jude Marathon.

Room smell not good. Long waiting check in. Room bathroom tssue used up in the first day but no people fill it up next day

Room was clean and staff was nice. However, the USB charging port integrated into the table lamp didn’t work. Housing keeping kindly brought in a replacement which didn’t work, either. It would be good that such details is given more attention in the future to improve customer service and the hotel’s reputation in the industry.

No hot water. I drove 300 miles All I wanted to do was take a bath and go to bed. The hot water never got hot and was barely warm. I called the front desk to let her know the situation. She said I could change rooms. I had driven over 300 miles and the last thing I'm going to do was change rooms. I already got my stuff out. So she said that she would get somebody to reset it. Still had no hot water when I went to sleep. When I woke up I tried to take a bath again and the water was still not hot. It should not take that many hours for the water to heat up. When I checked out the front desk person just said oh it takes a while for the water to heat up I said since 7:00 last night to now it's still not hot You're telling me it takes that long for water to heat up. This was the only reply I got. never will stay here again The location

The staff was friendly other than check out was at 11 and I had them knocking on my door at 10 asking when I was leaving and the water pressure was not great and the loud noise from the highway was awful but other than that it was a decent stay

Staff was extremely friendly
- 1/5
For context, I stayed at the Sheraton across the street earlier this year and had a completely different experience. The only positive experience staying at this hotel was that the staff was very friendly.
- 3/5
Room was clean staff Didn't recommend eating on property. Didn't shop or use gym.
- 5/5
Very welcoming staff!
- 3/5
I paid $114 a night. I stayed 2 nights and then had pay $22 to park my car. At this price I should not have to pay for parking. No microwave in the room and no hot water the first night we were there. At first look this place is beautiful and the staff is top notch. Your manger's positive attitude and personality is the only reason I did not leave after the first night.
- 4/5
Getting old need renovations soon! Overall still good!
- 5/5
All areas surrounding the property were in good condition. Staff were friendly and accommodating to our needs.
- 5/5
Staff was very helpful and polite; rooms were nice and clean.
- 3/5
Breakfast coupon was not worth it. Food was good and the server was working hard. But it was only her and a cook. Tables were not being bussed, it took us 1.25 hours to get our food. Order was inaccurate.
- 4/5
Think maybe we had one of the rooms that was not yet renovated. Staff were wonderful and the courtesy bus to take you anywhere within 3km was a great help as it's quite a walk to the main sights. I was disappointed to find that no attempt was made to be environmental, is this an american thing? Throughout uk and Europe im used to hotels giving guests the option to not have towel automatically replaced daily, for environmental reasons. Guests usually have the option to devide. This was not the case.
- 1/5
I had a very disappointing stay at this property. The customer service was poor from the start — the receptionist on the first day was unhelpful when I asked for basic things like water, since none was provided in the room. She simply told me no one could deliver it. The swimming pool was in terrible condition and not clean at all, which made it unusable. Overall, this was one of the worst properties I’ve stayed at, and I wouldn’t recommend it.
- 3/5
It was ok. Just ok.
- 5/5
The staff were wonderful, room was clean and it was a lovely atmosphere!
- 1/5
I thought crown plaza supposed be first class I was gone all day and come back to a dirty room no towels just filthy room service
- 5/5
The staff was exceptional. Everyone was friendly and courteous. The shuttle van is very helpful in the downtown area. It makes getting around very easy. Mr. Hollis was our favorite person. He was our favorite person.
- 3/5
There was a lot of strange behaviors occurring in the parking lots. The entire property seemed like a time warp back to 1991.
- 3/5
They didn’t clean my room I was gone all day and came back to a dirty room
- 5/5
Perfect for our stay
- 5/5
We wanted to be able to go to Bass Pro it was a great location and the shuttle was great.,
- 5/5

- 4/5
The staff were absolutely amazing and very friendly. The added cost for the same breakfast you would get free at most Holiday Inn Express and having to wait for someone to bring drinks was excessive. We would have gotten better food for much less at a restaurant. Plus I wasn't aware there would be an additional charge for parking that wasn't even secure.
- 5/5
It was a great stay. But the shower head in my room needs to be replaced. But im still able to give all excellent ratings.
- 4/5
For the most part, everything was awesome until the last day. Repeatedly, I had asked if I could get a shuttle to a local church 2 miles away the next day at 7:30am. I was repeatedly told yes. So, on Thursday I got up at 5:30am and was at the door early for the 7:30am shuttle. The front desk personnel informed me the driver would not take me. Yet, I had to get to my church by 8am. Unfortunately, I had to pay $30 to and from the church for a for cost shuttle instead of the promised and expected hotel free shuttle. Of course, the desk person blamed me for the miscommunication and lack of integrity. I forgave but not forgot. Don't promise something you can't deliver. Blessings and Peace

Room and bathroom had smell like a cigarette or something.
- 3/5
The hotel in general was clean, conveniently located to downtown, the staff was great however, we just stayed at a Best Western Plus the previous night and paid around the same rate but had more to offer such as free breakfast and a complimentary latte/cappuccino machine etc. It was cleaner than Crowne and also had a pool. My expectations for Crowne plaza fell short - i would suggest that they start offering some free amenities to keep up with the growing competition. It was also disappointing to pay for parking, it would be nice if that were refundable since the gates were open all night. The restaurant food choices were just OK and for the prices, could have been better quality. We ended up having to choose something else on the menu as well because they were out of steak and bacon. The Crowne plaza has always had a higher reputation than the Best Western chain but i think for us, it was the other way around this time.
- 5/5
The service is amazing. Amber the bar tender was amazing with service.

The lobby decor was welcoming.

Is terrible experience from the start. I tried checking in which then took me 1 1/2 hours to do so. Cierra greeted me from the start and asked for my license and my form of payment. Which she ran and told me I had this insufficient funds. None of this was true. She ran it several more times. I asked if I should enter the card myself and she said no she had it. I then had to get on the phone with Hotels.com and pay them for a night stay just to be able to have a place to stay as we were almost to 930 at night by then. After finally getting checked into a room after 10 o’clock at night, having not eaten all day, we had one choice of a crummy place to get a bite from. When I called the bank the next day to see what the problem was she told me immediately when Cierra took my card and entered it herself she entered the wrong expiration date over and over and over again. The only time that it took it correctly was when I paid the hundred dollar incidental fee and she actually let me run my own card. I contacted the manager who is not a very nice person who told me that there was no way she had taken my card because they didn’t do that. Well they didn’t. She told me she would check into it. Speak with Cierra and call me back the next daywhich she did not do. It was two days later before I received a call from her and as far as I’m concerned, she basically called me a liar. Now her words were Cierra told her she did not take my card from me, not true. She only gave IGH points comp

It was not supposed to be rated 3 stars. Hotel is older but not well kept. There was a smell of acetone. The elevator had dirty corners. Every corner should be cleaned. I holes in the wall and the outlet in the bathroom did not work. The fridge had some stains on the outside door. Even the phone had stains. Room 613 also had dirty spots on the ceilings not sure if it was dirt, mold or wet spots.

It was a great room we enjoyed ourselves
- 4/5
Good experience, my room was clean
- 5/5
Great staff. Clean rooms and the entire building was spotless
- 3/5
The hotel charged a $22 parking fee. Its was a Wednesday, not crowded, and far enough way from downtown attractions so parking should be FREE. There was NO HOT WATER so taking a morning shower was a rude awakening. Needs updating!
- 4/5
Keep up the great work and experience

Front desk clerk rude and inpatient. She did not want me to explain my question of help and cancelled my reservation on the spot and kicked me out. I only had a question about the $100 credit card deposit for incidentials.

crowne Plaza is ideal place to see the sites

It’s a good place to stay in downtown.

It was all a great experiance and the front desk was wonderful!!!

Lucas at the front desk made our stay very comfortable. He offered great service and accommodated all of our requests. The location was great and the waiters and staff were friendly. The breakfast options were very good. Would stay here again when visiting Memphis.
- 1/5
I didn't like paying 200 for a night and not have parking provided.it was apparently 50 bucks cause they charged a additional 50 for incedentals! And said parking was 22 but whatever..and I literally slept and left.. and and had to kill a few ants
- 5/5
Check in was painless&i loved the shuttle service
- 3/5
The room is in an insane need of an update. Tv remote didnt work, the electrical plugs were all so loose a good conection couldnt be made. Electrical box actually was hanging out of the wall. About 5 extension cords in use to get power. For something called Crown Plaza i expected way way better.

First of all they made us scan our debit card twice saying one ddnt go through and what little we had for us to spend on Easter Sunday b4 heading back home n my child ddnt even get to see the zoo we were just worried about the gas n for us to eat with sad very sad we were
- 3/5
Not a bad location as far as distance from Beale st. But the homeless make the area around the hotel their turf. If you have a car it is ok but if you are walking everywhere it can be dangerous.
- 5/5
Great service.
- 5/5
The complimentary shuttle service was greatly appreciated and easy to use.
- 4/5
Nice place to stay
- 5/5
Great
- 2/5
Had to report number issues with our room. Air was down as low as possible and barely was getting cold and made a horrible noise when turning on. The water had to run for over 5 minutes to warm up, thankfully the complaint of the dandle of the shower falling off got fixed immediately. Overall it was was just alright to sleep at for one night. But when the lobby area looks 10 times better then the room itself something is wrong. It was ok for one nights sleep, but I wont be returning to this location
- 3/5
Remote tv buttons wore out
- 5/5
Will be staying there from now on for our annual trips
- 5/5
The stay was great & so was the front desk

Mattress to hard
- 5/5
Stephanie at the front desk was extremely helpful. The breakfast employees were helpful and the hot breakfast was outstanding. Great location close to Beale Street
- 5/5
Everything about the 10 day stay was good. Only problem was that when I received the bill I was charged a different amount each day when I thought I signed up for a fixed amount per day.
- 2/5
I was told the new owner will be investing in the property -- I hope so. The highway noise on that side of the building made it impossible to sleep once the trucks start rolling at 6am -- they need noise blocking windows. The staff was always attentive, but the hotel was a little over-worn feeling. There's no bar (pending new liquor license, I'm told). The restaurant menu is very limited. Buffet breakfast at $20 of the quality you expect to be included.
- 1/5
Traffic noise all night and could not sleep at all.
- 4/5
About what you'd expect.
- 3/5
Property needs to up keep furniture / rooms. Wallpaper was coming off the walls, bed skirt was ripped. Room was dusty not cleaned properly
- 5/5
The staff was amazing‼️ They made my stay wonderful the property isn’t as bad as the reviews make it seem yes it’s outdated but it’s somewhere you can sleep comfortably‼️
- 5/5
My group had a fabulous time. The shuttle was the best thing . It took us all over Downtown Memphis. The rooms were nice and clean and all the staff was super nice and friendly.

Our stay was pretty pleasant Ms Stephanie made us feel welcomed, along with her colleagues that was there it was a nice stay with great food and service
- 5/5
everything was perfect
- 5/5
The lady working reception was very nice.
- 3/5
Hotel was fine. First roomed of smoke. Hotel did not let us check in early even though we had a five day reservation. Second room had water damage. Hotel needs work. I hate hotels that aren’t in the business of hospitality.
- 5/5
Excellent front desk staff! Very welcoming and accommodating! Room was clean but a lot of lights didn’t work. Only issue was our room wasn’t serviced as requested but the ladies at the front desk made up for it!

This Crowne Plaza was in very poor shape.
- 5/5
The hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff was excellent. We were there for a week and were sad to leave as the front desk and shuttle drivers felt like extended family by the end of the week. The shuttle drivers were all super kind and gave us great recommendations on where to eat, shop, hangout and visit.

Must of the lights and outlets were nonfunctional. Shower had 3 shampoos, no conditioner, no body wash, no other soap. I was double charged. I booked through Expedia and they also charged me for the room.
- 4/5
The hotel has a shuttle service to Beale Street and parking onsite for a fee. The staff is friendly, helpful, polite and professional. The manager Stephanie and maintenance technician, Desmond were very helpful. This was our first experience at the Crown, and we would stay there again.
- 5/5
Staff is excellent and very accommodating, the shuttle bus driver Marty is very helpful and professional. We always stay here when we visit Memphis, it’s the best!
