Arrived at 4pm and found the lobby is locked, turned out its locked 24 hrs a day with a guard dog present. You have to use the night window in a very hot little room attached to the lobby. Screwed up our reservation. Booked two rooms, no fridge in one, no microwave. Blow dryers, irons non-existant. Never cleaned the bathroom until I complained, even then bad job. One king room was barely furnished with a queen bed and a chair. Other was better with a sofa and table, which did have a king size. No closets. Carpets so dirty it blackened your feet. Their idea of cleaning, replace towels, spray the curtains with disinfectant and make the bed. You have to change your keycard daily, probably due to renting rooms by the hour, which we did not know. Horrible experience. Was told by the "manager" that there had been a fire and damage which is why they didn't have appliances...what???? Found out its under new management and within the last few months they have been in repair but the whole place was so run down, chipped paint, holes in the wall. I would not recommend this place to anyone!!!!! Rude staff who refused to give their name or the owners name. Just so many issues, luckily we weren't there much and the bed was comfortable. No bugs at least. This was not the hotel I saw when I booked it several months ago. The pictures must be very old. We couldn't even go anywhere else as Memphis was booked solid. Just bad overall experience and did not seem like a very good area.

The night clerk was dressed in an oversized tshirt and grey sweat pants that dragged the floor and he was barefooted. He was unshavened and looked pitiful for the business! My first impulse was to run but it was late night and I am not that familiar with Memphis to run around searching fot a room. The room was huge but it needed to be vacuumed. The bathtub was clean! There was no remote for the TV and they only had one channel. Right person at the desk said that they had to send all the remotes back because they did not work. I believe the problem was they did not pay the cable bill so they only had one station! The king sized bed was clean but the mattress was lumpy. Oh my God! I would turn over into a gully and had to wriggle like a fat baby to get out! Never again at this location. Never.

And the smell is bad
- 1/5
We got to the hotel late and the front desk attendant was pleasant. We got to our room to findo the ceilings covered in mold! Shower was dirty, comforters stained. We left and went elsewhere, still waiting on a refund!
- 3/5
The room was very clean and comfortable with a very comfortable king size bed. However, there was a lot of activity in the parking lot, with cars stopping just outside our door with radios blasting loud enough to wake the dead. This continued on most of the night. Very late at night, we were awakened by the desk clerk calling to see if we were OK. It seems that someone had called the desk and said he was locked in his room and couldn't get out, and he gave our room number. The clerk said he knew it was a bogus call, but just wanted to be sure we were OK. A friend told us later that this is a very unsafe neighborhood, but we went to the gas station and Subway across the street, and had no issues. If you are a sound sleeper and don't mind a bit of noise outside, this is an OK hotel. Just be sure to always keep your door locked. If a bit of noise will keep you awake, go elsewhere.
- 5/5
great
- 1/5
They charge my bank and wasn't supposed to. And wouldn't reverse and take the cash causing my account to go into overdraft. On the day of checking out we found a bedbug crawling on a towel. The ceiling was falling apart and the tub was stained.
- 1/5
because of the strong smell of smoke. When I went back to the front desk he said there should be no smell because it is a non smoking room. I could barely breath it was as if someone just smoked a cigar in the room.
- 4/5
Check in late, into a smoking room, it was horrible, the room wasn't cleaned, old food sitting out , no clean towls, and stuff left everywhere, went back to office, then they apologize and gave me a different room, it was cleaned and better, no microwave. And the fridge didnt work, tv sucked, no channel list so didn't know what channels there was, other then walking into the first mess, it was a typical hotel, and I wouldn't stay there again.
- 4/5
New ownership is making upgrades and better conditions on a daily basis. You should like the new staff, they are helpful polite and friendly. Yes, I admit it was rough when I arrived. This is not the best part of Memphis but it's convenient and centrally located. I came here on day one of the new management. Unpleasant issues were wiped out almost immediately. Even the cleaning crews were changed. I'm a business traveler and have been treated like royalty on my one month stay. I'll gladly return here when traveling through the area again.
- 3/5
Not the cleanest hotel but it was a fair stay. Just needed somewhere to lay my head for the night and passed that test but if you're looking for something nicer don't stay here
- 2/5
The spread was dirty
- 3/5
Not a great location, industrial bathroom that wasn't very clean, comforter was dirty. Front desk staff was rude.
- 3/5
Micro wave had previous person food in it
- 3/5
I was checking in little late, so I tried to call the front desk ( Indian accent ) she hung up on me! The room was smelt like someone smoked in side the room. WiFi was slow.
- 2/5
The room seems to be clean, with some upgrades. We arrived early in the evening to find the lobby closed and had to deal with the person at the counter through bullet proof glass. The receptionist was cold and unfriendly. I paid for a non-smoking room -and it was even labeled non-smoking on the door. But when I entered, the strong smoke smell hit me first thing. The only thing missing is a desk. I got a king-size bed room, but there is no desk and chair. Very strange for a nice hotel room. The couch is a worn out hide-a-bed with a very uncomfortable metal bar in the middle of your back. The WiFi kept going in and out - mostly out. The room was clean with a very comfortable bed. The missing desk, bad wifi and unfriendly service is a deal breaker for me. I would not stay here again.
- 1/5
Room smelled terrible and nothing worked. Very difficult to get to
- 1/5
Refused to stay. It was $70 waisted. Found a hotel last minute that was safer and cleaner. I take some responsibility because you get what you pay for. But I would NOT recommendit to no one.
- 1/5
We found another persons underwear hanging in our shower.
- 3/5
Loved it. Even though it was packed out, it was very quite and relaxing.
- 1/5
Entry to front desk sign in area was locked, checked in through small 12" x 12" glass window in wall with 2" pass through area at bottom says it all.
- 4/5
The couch and carpet were dirty but the bed and bathroom were clean. The air conditioner is off when you check in so it takes HOURS for the room to cool off. It's $50 a night. It is as expected. I just needed some sleep before I got back on the road.
- 3/5
Inexpensive and so close to Graceland. No pool. If you want morning coffee be prepared to go to the closest convenience store.
- 2/5
Too much trafficking in and out. A hotel that people live and pay weekly. Was nervous and uneasy, will definitely make better preparation on next travel.
- 5/5
It was nice, quiet and it was a great team of staff. Everyone I met there was nice and they made sure I was ok. I would tell them thanks if I could.
- 4/5
It was good .I can't complain. Very comfortable bed andI would recommend the stay touch someone else
- 3/5
The room at this hotel was fine, clean and the bed was very comfortable and big. I have no problems with that. The hotel said they were renovating the rooms and it looks like my room had a new counter top in the sink area, but the faucet wasn't secured in and it wobbled when you turned it on and off. The pipes ran down through shelving below. In the bathroom, the back skirt around the toilet seemed to be a recent replacement and didn't look like it was professionally installed. I was going to take a shower, but I couldn't find a way to transfer the water to the shower head from the bath water controls. If it was there, I never found it. Other than that, the room was fine and it's proximity to the airport made it a good choice for getting back to Memphis airport quickly. If I was staying in town longer, I would prefer another hotel with better quality.
- 3/5
easy booking on mobile phone. easy access off/on highway. the neighborhood looks a little seedy, but the hotel was clean, and my daughters and I felt secure in our room. the only downside was the room key had a dominos pizza number on it, so we decided to order pizza, well, they were located in dallas, texas! so, they clearly need to get new room keys. the bed was super comfortable and clean. I would stay here again.
- 3/5
Bad neighborhood.
- 2/5
When I booked the hotel I requested non-smoking and when I went to check-in she asked what I preferred. I told her non-smoking and it had a smoke detector but the room smelled of smoke. The comforter had what looked liked cigarette burn holes throughout it. It made me not want to sleep there. The are is in a bad location with a lot of stranglers hanging around. I was scared to leave my room wondering if someone would break in. Overall, I'm completely dissatisfied with my stay.
- 2/5
The television was grimey and did not work. There were burns on the bedspreads. There was only one set of towels in the room even though I booked for two.
- 2/5
Checking in i was greeted by locked doors & talked to staff through a window. I felt very insecure at that point, where had i brought my family? Then went to the room only to find it was the wrong one. Finally got the room lined out! My son was playing with his toys & when he got up out of the floor his knees & feet were black from dirty carpet. There were people partying all hours of the night. In a nutshell, its not the kind if place i like to stay at.
- 1/5
Hotel staff isn't welcoming, they speak to you through a glass and don't let you into the lobby. Comforter seemed dirty and the room smelled like they had over sprayed a scent to cover up some other bad smell. Others staying at the hotel were partying all night which would be fine except the walls are paper thin so we couldn't get to sleep until after 5AM. Wifi did not work despite calling the front desk to have it re-booted. Shampoo/conditioner was provided in ketchup packets. Two small pillows were provided on each bed, luckily we had our own to add.
- 1/5
Insects in room, shower didn't work, cigarette burn holes in bedding, need I say more?
- 2/5
Even the taxi drivers were surprised we were staying here. Bad part of town. No where safe to get breakfast or food. Ants in the bathroom! Staff seemed scared to deal with anyone. All done through a glass window like a bank clerk. No hairdryer. Just all a bit rough.
- 5/5
I really enjoyed my stay it was very pleasant i will return real soon
- 4/5
Convenient location to airport. Also to major attractions.
- 4/5
No frills motel. Great place for the price. Don't expect any extras, but the bed was comfy and the room was clean and quiet.
- 2/5
the bathroom was not clean
- 1/5
This was the worse stay I have ever experience the sheets were dirty, the room smelled bad, the chair was broken husband actually fell out of it, the door would not completely shut you can tell it was kicked in before, the neighborhood was bad it was people hanging out loud all night. my friends that was couples also stayed and the also said they hated it and would never recommend or stay again. We asked for another room the man refused got a attitude and was very rude and unprofessional. we found online and looks were very deceiving. the shower didn't work in my friends room and they weren't given another room. I believe I should get my money back. we did not feel safe when we left for dinner we took all belongings scared it would get stolen. HORRIBLE STAY
- 1/5
The reception area is a disaster. Mail and paperwork laying around and on the floor behind the counter. The bed had a top comforter with 2 big burn holes in it. There were 4 pillows on the bed, each about 1 sqr foot. The electrical socket next the bed and end table was loose in the wall. I had just eaten an orange and had the skin sitting on the end table for about 3 minutes and it was covered in ants! The room had tiny ants everywhere.
- 3/5
This hotel is near the airport, which I now know from locals is a pretty scary neighborhood. Felt reasonably safe but surrounding amenities pretty basic. Next time I'll drive a little farther to be in better area. Would not want to stay here alone.
- 4/5
We had a wonderful experience. Gulf Shores Alabama is beautiful! The staff was not very knowledgeable about the area, but they were friendly.
- 2/5
Not great we chose the hotel based on its location to our destination. It stated it 3.0 miles and in fact it was 10 miles. We did not know the area and we're driving very late at night on back roads. When we tries to resolve the issue Hotels.com blamed the hotel and the hotel blamed Hotels.com.So we weren't compensated at all. We had booked 2 hotels in less than 48 hours from Hotels.com.
- 4/5
The hotel needs updated on the outside including the road leading to the hotel. Beds were very comfortable.
- 1/5
First think I noticed was it was located in a rough neighborhood. Once in the room, I was greeted by a musty smell. Before settling in, I had to kill all the flies buzzing around on the window. The bed was comfortable enough but I felt like there may have been bedbugs. It might have been my imagination, but it kept me from a good night's sleep.
- 3/5
The bathroom was OK. There was no continental breakfast. Subway was the closest to get anything to eat. I would not choose that motel again, but it was OK for the brief time we were there - just to sleep.
- 1/5
I booked this hotel via the Expedia Mobile App. When I went, I was told there were no vacancies. And I was SPECIFICALLY TOLD to cancel the reservation with Expedia. I called and Expedia had a long wait time so I scheduled a callback via their automated system. Needless to say I didn't stay at that hotel. I finished up my trip and Expedia called me back to discuss the situation. Sure there was a disconnect between Expedia and this hotel in this situation, but Expedia attempted to negotiate a refund on my behalf. The hotel denied a refund due to the technicality of me not staying in the hotel as being classified as a "no show". I WAS TOLD THERE WERE NO VACANCIES AND TOLD TO CANCEL MY RESERVATION WITH EXPEDIA WHICH I DID. They simply put their revenue over my satisfaction. Expedia ended up giving me a coupon to cover a future stay, which I appreciated, but that hotel should be held accountable for such terrible customer service.
- 2/5
There were no Kleenexes, no shampoo, some outlets would not work and the faucet in the backroom was hooked up backwards.
- 3/5
We were passing through Memphis. The hotel is very acceptable for a pass through, but the neighborhood is rough. The hotel clerk was very nice.
- 4/5
Wasent bad for 60 bucks!
- 3/5
I like the service on this hotel
- 2/5
I asked for a non smoking room and a sign at frot door stated it was a non smoking room. I WALKED IN AND IT REEKED OF SMOKE. i went to store and purchased a can of air refresher and after 3 applications I could still smell the smoke. I WILL NEVER STAY AT THIS PLACE AGAIN.
- 3/5
Okay!!!
- 1/5
Checkout was at 11:00, but at 10:30, the employees began bugging us to leave. My boyfriend was so annoyed that when we did leave the room at 10:59 and there were three employees standing outside the room, he loudly announced, "NOW it's 11:00." I sort of feel sorry for the owners who probably put a lot of work into renovated this sorry property, but putting a jetted tub in an ordinary room and calling it a suite (and then charging as if it's a nice room) is not the way to recoup an investment.
- 3/5
It was good
- 2/5
For a suite the room was very small. The suite is located on the first floor beneath a staircase so you have no view. The hotel is located in the hood surronded by 3 gas stations and a liquer store but it has excellent out door lighting. For the price and time of reservation decent deal but i will not go back.
- 4/5
This place is not close to anything, but it was a great place to start. We just flew in to Memphis and needed a place for our first night. We had a large, clean room with a very comfortable bed. We felt secure and are very happy with our stay.
- 3/5
The room itslef was clean although a few fixtures were broken and should have been replaced but the service was good. Some of the surrounding tennents engaged in brief but loud morning conficts in the parking lot - this could easily be corrected - Over all, I would stay there again, the price is great
- 4/5
Patel was extremely helpful and pleasant. Both in our phone conversations & at the hotel. Room was roomy and clean.
- 4/5
Spent the night on my way to New Orleans. I had to make a long distance call which you disappointedly can't make from your room but the manager was nice to let me make my call on his phone. Room was clean and comfortable it must have been recently redone cause it did have a strong new fiber chemical smell. Overall good experience. Rougher neighbourhood but not that bad.
- 2/5
Bad odor in the room after cleaning.
- 4/5
My stay was great very freindly service
- 5/5
I been there for taking my flight the day after. It is very close the airport and that's enough. People at desk was kind; the room was clean. Hotel is not impressive, of course, but for my stopping and value it was ok.
- 2/5
Hotel is located on the south side of Memphis. Even with the attemps from the owners to keep up the hotel, you can't keep the unwanted people from coming to hang out or stay at this hotel. It's not for me or my wife!
- 3/5
Room was pretty clean. Area wasn't great but wasn't excessively loud and didnt feel unsafe. Hotel is near airport and interstate so take that into consideration. Good enough for the price.
- 3/5
Minimum room service. However, trash, bath. and towels were changed daily. Will fill in as a place on the way.
- 3/5
No problems at all. Could have been more proactive with info on hotel - also when we were still getting ready in the morning room cleaning service came in without asking if it was ok. It was a bit awkward but still it was a good stay. Great sleep!
- 3/5
Our floor was wet and my daughter-in-law's key didn't work when she got locked out of the room in the middle of the night after running to her car.....her daughter was inside and it freaked her out to have to run all the way to the lobby to get it taken care of....
- 5/5
We booked this based on price and proximity to Graceland but had no idea where it was located before we arrived. We were really pleased that it was relatively quiet even though it was near the airport, was very clean and most important, very comfortable beds! Even though the decor was a little old it was clean, roomy and had everything we needed. No complaints.
- 3/5
We had a one night layover on our bus trip so we rented a room. Its close to the bus station and although it's in a bad neighborhood, we felt safe. The beds were very comfortable. For the price, it served it's purpose.
- 3/5
Visiting Graceland and this hotel was pretty close. It was pretty clean. It had slow drains but it was manageable. I'd stay again.
- 1/5
The one thing that makes me rate this converted motel (no way is it an Inn) is that after reserving a non-smoking room and calling to verify they would not give away the room before our extremely late arrival (2AM) is that the room they saved was a smoking room. I hate the smell of smoke.
- 1/5
There was a smell of marijuana coming from rooms around us and people were out all hours of the evening; one woman wearing very little clothing kept coming in and out of her room. There was a man that hung out on the steps of the hotel most of the evening. We had my elderly mother with us, and if there hadn't been a 'no refund' policy, we never would have stayed there. The rooms were gross; our socks were black after walking across the floor. The blankets had holes in them, the showers were not clean, and there was dust everywhere. Some of our lights had no bulbs, and our phone in one room did not work. We were happy to leave bright and early the next morning.
- 4/5
Well i actually enjoyed myself but i didnt like the fact that the hotel dont have the check in time on website they need to fix that and it would be ok
- 3/5
The staff was extremely courteous. the location was in the hood. Some of the guests that live there were hanging out in the parkung lot smoking marijuana and drinking. this didn't settle well with me. its a little over priced but it was ik fir a one night stay. we stayed in the Hilton hotel of memphis the next night and it was amazing!
- 5/5
i very much enjoyed my stay at this motel. The staff was very friendly and the room was clean and comfortable.
- 1/5
Stayed one night before leaving on vacation. Hotel run down, rooms looked run down, staff not friendly.
- 1/5
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Both the night person and morning person greeted me in pajamas and bare feet. If that wasn't enough, once we arrived to the room it smelled of paint, there was a burn hole in the comforter on one of the beds, no cover on the light in the bathroom leaving exposed wires. The hotel does sit in the same parking lot as a liquor store. Many of the other customers were just hanging out outside their rooms one the walkways. Overall, this was a terrible experience and we were very glad to only have to be there for 8 hours on a drive from Ohio to Texas.
- 3/5
What is there to say. Very basic place. Close to the airport - Very affordable. In room Refrigerator was a nice addition.
- 4/5
What you see is what you get. If you're looking for something affordable, it's not a bad place to say. Just be careful around the surrounding area. Didn't seem so safe at night. Also, if driving at night, you got to really look for the entrance to get to the motel. I missed it because they have no bright sign that said "enter".
- 2/5
The hotel was located in the parking lot of a liquor store. It also had a bar close by. There was all kinds of noise all through the night. It was also located next to the airport...planes came in and landed every two minutes! The shower didn't work and the towels were small. There was only one shampoo/conditioner in a plastic wrapper. However, the staff was extremely nice and the room was clean and the bed was very comfy! If you can sleep through anything... this is the cheap room for you... it was only $50!
- 3/5
Beautiful hotel and room, reasonable price. However it is very close to the flight pattern of the airport, so it is quite noisy.
- 2/5
be booking on line again !!
- 3/5
The Hotel was as expected for the price. my room was clean enough but the couch was broken down, no shampoo, but the worst part was the management keep harassing me for booking through Hotels.com. He said that I should only call him directly and he would match their price. He doesn't like paying a commission to them. I explained to him that I earned rewards 2 ways by booking through hotels.com but all he could do is complain that it cost him money, so now that my job has been extended for another week, I am booking a days inn 4 miles down the way. That way it wont cost him money.
- 4/5
To close to the airport, planes woke me up around 2AM
- 3/5
The room was comfortable and clean (for an older motel). The plumbing and AC worked fine. The motel is near the Memphis airport, and there must be some sort of military air installation there. Anyway, about 3:30 a.m., jet aircraft began taking off right over the motel and continued for about an hour. It was like trying to sleep on an aircraft carrier flight deck when it is launching its planes. Hopefully, this doesn't happen often and we were just at the wrong place at the wrong time. Anyway, the bathroom door didn't fit well and could only be shut if it was slammed. This was reported to the staff and maybe it was attended to after we left. It is in a rather "iffy" looking neighborhood with a liquor store next door and abandoned shopping carts scattered around, but then again all of Memphis is pretty "iffy". If you want to stay in a good neighborhood in this town, stay in the eastern suburbs around Germantown and drive in.
- 3/5
The bed was very comfortable, but the lighting in the room was extremely poor. Also, the outlet to plug in the television was very loose. So, you had to make sure it was plugged in just right or else the TV would not work. Very close to Graceland, which was one of the main reasons for our stay. Told staff at hotel about the problems we had with the room, but I made sure to mention that the bed was very comfortable.
- 3/5
The hotel is in the same parking lot as a bar, and a liquor store. There were people hanging out in the parking lot in front of bar until 1:00 a.m. bothe nights we were there. A little un-nerving with two youngsters with me. The frig did not work, they had to replace it, the towel & wash-clothes felt like sandpaper, the outlets wereall falling out of the walls. Very old and not really very clean overall. The best was the shower head, extremely good pressure ! I would not recommend nor will I stay here again. Over-all dis-appointing.
- 1/5
All I needed was a hotel near the airport and this one was very convenient. Other than that, I cannot recommend staying here. It was very noisy, we could hear everything in the surrounding rooms and parking lot. The bathroom light did not work but we got in very late and we're leaving early the next day so we did not contact the front desk about it. The shower was sort of broken, you had to pull up on the part that switched water flow from the tub to the shower faucet in order to have enough water redirected to rinse off. The bed was ok. It was hard but I wasn't expecting much. The staff were very nice. The area was not as rough as other reviewers suggested, they must not be familiar with Memphis.
- 1/5
Not what I expected.
- 3/5
Room was clean but If you want near I40 this is too far out. Area was not desirable. Locals seem to stay here if you get the drift. Also when I checked out at 8 am, could not get in lobby. Locked up tight. Had to ring a bell and someone appeared in their pajamas to take my key!!! Really. Not professional
- 4/5
Overall, my stay was good, especially for the price. The room was clean and it was quiet despite the room being near the airport. When I called the front desk to inquire about how to work the shower and the WiFi connection the staff was very polite and helpful. However, this is my second stay at this hotel and I brought my own towels this time because the large towels they have in the room are still very small. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.
- 2/5
This place had a very nice staff and the room was clean. It was the surrounding area that made me think that I had made a horrible mistake in my booking. In the daytime the parking lot was a variety of people just wondering around. It did not make you feel very safe at all. But come evening everyone disaappeared and the only noise was from the airport
- 3/5
Stayed two nights and it did the job: A place to stay. It was clean and the beds were fine. On saturday night there was a shortage of hotel rooms in town and therefore paid a terribly high rate. The hotel is conveniently close to the airport and Graceland. Neighborhood is not great with battered strip-malls. Shortage of power outlets, and 1 of 2 did not work.
- 1/5
There were red stains all over the floor, there was no shampoo or soap in the bathroom/ shower, There will silly string covering the close hangers, there were no towel racks in the bathroom, there was no breakfast. there was "lotion" covering the entire remote control. The staff was friendly but it was a very disappointing stay for us. We asked the gentleman at the front desk if he made sure all of the rooms were clean and he said yes, I stand behind the cleanliness of our hotel.
- 3/5
I was a quiet and comfortable stay
- 1/5
Checked out early and the management fought with me. Bring a gun for the neighborhood. No amenities. Avoid at all costs.
- 4/5
i enjoyed my stay, got rest, the room was comfortable, only thing i didnt like was you couldn't open the curtains because there were no blinds to help let in light while not allowing nobody to see in but overall i enjoyed my stay and would stay again...i also recommended it to my brother and his wife and they also enjoyed their stay as well....
- 1/5
Had no ice bucket Had no cups Had no Kleenex Tv was old with green tint No coffee
