Reviews
The hotel is generally praised for its unique design, beautiful views, and comfortable rooms. However, there are frequent complaints about the high prices, poor food quality, and various issues with the rooms and services.
- Unique design and atmosphere
- Comfortable rooms and beautiful views
- High prices
- Poor food quality and limited dining options
- 3/5
Charged $50 to go to the room 30 minutes early. Refrigerator barely kept food chilled on max. Coffee maker was missing parts. Toilet was dirty. Valet was good. Front desk was okay except for check-in. Barely interested. Sped through the welcome message even though we were the only ones. Lookout deck and windows were closed due to weather. Should have discounted food pricing since you are paying for the view. Food was meh. I might stay again if I cant get a room at the Peabody. The Peabody has far superior service.
- 5/5
They had one first day of the room was clean. Breakfast was on point hot tub was really good and relaxing and a room was so amazing fireplace back and you can sit down and relax and watch over the building. It was something I’d enjoy and let’s get.
- 5/5
We loved our stay. The rooms were clean and all of communal spaces were clean and through fully designed. Not a lot of amenities, but for our short stay it was enough. My kids loved the fancy tubs and the porch overlooking the store. We were not made aware of the scavenger hunt on check in and my kids were upset they missed out on that when we saw it at check out. Overall it was nice, pricey but we enjoyed our time.
- 4/5
Hotel is very nice but lacks entertainment. Wahlburgers is not very good, yet it is the only food option. The Den is very nice for drinks.
- 4/5
Hi ya. The shuttle staff, Willie, a female and Jeremy were all very.friendly and went out of their way for us to see diff things!! Staff thru out bass pro store and lodge were all nice and very friendly!! 😀
- 5/5
We loved the lodge decor and spacious room. It was so quiet we slept very well on a comfortable king size bed. The only concern was there weren’t enough choices for restaurants in the complex. Driving through Memphis was not a good option so we ate at Wahlburgers twice and then didn’t eat anymore during our stay. The staff were very friendly and prompt with any questions we had. We asked for the concierge but they said there wasn’t one. That was a little disappointing. There were no maps of the immediate area.
- 5/5
Everything was top notch. It’s becoming more like years ago.
- 5/5
Great place with so much to offer in it. Never seen anything like this and the place is HUGE! We checked in and out for 1 night only but we will definitely keep this place in mind next time we are in Memphis. Staff were very friendly and courteous and supportive. We ate at Wahlburgers and it was fine. My wife used the hot tub and she loved it. Highly recommend anyone staying at this place when in Memphis or near by.
- 5/5
In room hot tub and balcony are very nice. Waterfall shower was amazing. On site food and bars as well as bowling. Overall wonderful place to stay and so many things to do!
- 5/5
I love love the hot tub the room is very inviting the Staff is on point they know everything about the property😀👍 always a great time
- 5/5
Excellent place, I’d stay here over and over, exceptional service, room was so nice, clean, seriously need a bathroom like that in my house, soaking tub was excellent
- 5/5
Best hotel experience ever. Overlooking everything the Pyramid has to offer, like living in a tree house. Magnificent!
- 5/5
We loved the family atmosphere and all the staff went above and beyond to be so nice and helpful. The room was so nice and the big soaker whirlpool was amazing!!
- 5/5
Awesome experience from the valet service to the cleaning team finding a lost item. Loved the breakfast at Wahlbergers. The elevator to the lookout and view was epic. Highly recommend!
- 5/5
Had an enjoyable stay. We had great service and Brianna, at the front desk was very helpful with a room change.
- 5/5
I never give a perfect rating to hotels because I think there’s always room for improvement but Big Cypress Lodge has changed my mind. I have NEVER stayed at a property that was as friendly hospitable and welcoming as this place, and I have stayed at many Disney properties and high end hotels. The way every single staff member we encountered was kind enthusiastic and wonderful to our 4 year old son & our dogs made this property worth every cent we spent to stay there and we will return.

Great stay
- 5/5
The experience at Bass Pro shop was absolutely perfect and the restaurants in the pyramid was also great and service and food. But we were very disappointed with the surrounding areas that were close by if you left the pyramid. If you go and plan to stay a few nights I recommend doing your homework on when and where to go. Plan on traveling at least 30 minutes to get into a safer and clean environment. Would I come back and stay again absolutely but just know you will travel for entertainment beside the pyramid.
- 4.5/5
the place was beautiful and very clean the front desk night shift staff was rude and when I ased for a roll away bed they told me I couldnt have one and when I explained I couldnt sleep with the people that were traveling with me bc of their size she told me to sleep in the chair. didnt offer me another room where I could have a cot or offer other suggestions or help. I slept on the floor.
- 5/5
It was great would go back 100 times over.
- 5/5
We loved the beautiful, clean well-themed guest rooms and the look out observation deck at the top of the pyramid. The beds were extremely comfortable. The staff was helpful and friendly.
- 5/5
Everything In the hotel room itself…it’s loud when people are in and out there room
- 4/5
We loved our room except that we were placed close the the lobby area where a rehearsal dinner was taking place. It was
- 5/5
Very clean and the staff were super friendly!
- 4/5
Great weekend away trip. Lots to do and see.
- 5/5
What a nice surprise! The view on The Lookout was incredible! we had an amazingly huge 🌈 rainbow!! ALL the staff were amazing!! The room was super cool!!😎 It felt like a disney hotel room! The basket of snacks were delicious! The glass elevator was super cool!! If I ever stay in Memphis again this will be on top of my list!!! I will be telling everyone about this exciting place!!!
- 2/5
Room was dark and there were Cheerios on the floor
- 5/5
There were several things to do within the property! This was very essential because we have two active young kids! The scavenger hunt and activities kept them content and entertained. The fitness center was awesome! Best one I have seen yet at a hotel! Overall great experience and recommend staying there for a night!
- 5/5
the rooms were very nice and clean. The extras that were only for hotel guest were very nice. We will come back again. I also loved the shuttle service they provide for hotel guests. N/a
- 5/5
The location was good for us.
- 5/5
About midnight I realized I didn’t have my ointment & bandaids to change on my feet. I called reception & the lady that was working brought some up to me. You won’t get that service at a lot of places. It may not sound like a big deal, but if you’ve ever stayed here, there is no short way to get to the last room on the floors. Besides that I recommend staying here.
- 5/5
Great place to bring the kids. Staff was so nice to our 3 year old and he loved running around the store.
- 3.5/5
Our stay was wonderful the rooms could be cheaper was very expensive
- 5/5
Our granddaughter loved the oversized jetted tub and we loved having dinner on the terrace overlooking the shops.
- 5/5
Worth the money. Great place to stay and the shuttle bus to Beale street was really convenient
- 5/5
Third year in a row at this hotel. I love it there. I’ll be back.
- 5/5
Where that you had free snacks and water in your room. Loved sitting out on the balcony in the rocking chairs. We ate at Walburgers which was excellent. All of the staff that we encounter were helpful and kind! Would stay there again.
- 4.5/5
Bottom floor closing and not being able to shop longer!
- 5/5
The change machine for the arcade was out of order so we couldn't play the arcade.
- 5/5
Very clean and attentive staff.
- 1/5
Broken iron board ….. rude guy at the desk of entrance not at hotel desk but ret outside the hotel entrance and issues with tv
- 4.5/5
We really like the whole hotel, the lay out and the shuttle service was really handy I have nothing bad to say
- 0.5/5
I made this reservation through Booking.com and was charged for 2 rooms but when I arrived I was told they only had 1 of
- 5/5
We loved it! Everything about it was perfect!
- 5/5
The place was wonderful, my wife thought I was nuts that we were staying at a Bass Pro Shop. She ended up very excited that she could shop and stay at the same place. would recommend highly
- 5/5
But if you can think about a lot of restaurant not only Whalburger. The Lookout is fine but staff (waiter and barmaid) are so ineffective. No forks and knives when the meals arrive, we waited 45 minutes to be served… not deserve to be a restaurant for a five-stars hotel
- 5/5
Excellent amenities and experience. Loved the extra large jetted tub. Comfortable and well decorated
- 4.5/5
A lot to do and great restraints to eat at if you don’t want to leave. Pat attention to when you can check in… and keep in mind you have to pay to park there for the hotel stay. Plus the incceditial fee. Granted you can get the $ back… but it is an up front cost that needs to be mentioned!
- 5/5
This hotel is more like a resort!! Everything was amazing and I will stay here every time I go to Memphis from now on!! Rooms are not only clean, but they are GORGEOUS!! Friendly staff, great food, and all around enjoyable experience. 10 out of 10!!
- 3/5
The hotel is a bit gimmicky, the restaurant selection was pretty good and the food was very good. That’s the reason I’m giving it three stars. The room, at least the one that we stayed in, was extremely dirty. It looked as though no one had vacuumed between the nightstand and the bed in years. The overall room was very dark and again was not clean. We found items on the floor in the bathroom, which would suggest that the floors were never mopped in between customers otherwise there would be no way to miss that. We’ve stayed at other hotels on this trip and considering the price point of this hotel, it doesn’t compare to others at that level.
- 3/5
it is absolutely ridiculous that this hotel charges a “resort fee” . there is no resort. no pool, nothing. if u want more per room charge more but this mickey mouse stuff is dumb. in addition, u should clearly state this Before a reservation is placed
- 4.5/5
No hand soap to wash hands only shampoo, conditioner, and lotion
- 5/5
This was an amazing place to stay at the end of our trip. The room was huge and so unique. It had everything we needed. Very clean and comfortable. The room temp was great, however the vents were in the bathroom so it was freezing in there. The toilet room only had a little lantern light so that was odd. It was a trek from the elevators to the room but overall a great place to stay. Also wish breakfast could start earlier for early risers.
- 5/5
It was so cool! From the moment we pulled in the valet was extremely nice, the luggage cart worker so nice, front desk lady so friendly, and then kept getting better and better. The bartender in the den was great, the morning waitress at walhbergers was outstanding, every worker through out the hotel and bass pro was above and beyond! Everything was perfect!
- 5/5
Loved the room! We stayed in a standard room with 2 beds and it was amazing and more like a suite you would have in any other hotel. It was very clean, expensive but well worth every penny! The beds were comfy and the bathroom had fantastic shower and jetted tub. My kids loved everything! The only thing I can say about the room I was not happy about was the bathroom didn’t have enough light over the sink for putting on makeup or enough light in the toilet area.
- 4.5/5
Comfort and features. Late check in time.
- 5/5
Pricey
- 4/5
Check in is at 4pm which is a bit of a shame in my opinion, luckily we got in an hour or so early. Room was clean but did find cookie crumbs all over the coffee machine area. We stayed in the duck cabin and it was really impressive. My only gripe was the balcony wasnt private like the other rooms. Id also like to see maybe a few more restaurants/bars here. They could make a fortune here by keeping on the property. Either way it was a great stay and I'm glad we did it.
- 5/5
Unusual but incredible hotel! Would definitely stay again
- 5/5
Kind, and helpful. The room was clean, and comfortable. Everything was great! Definitely recommend staying here!
- 5/5
Excellent experience
- 4/5
Being lied to about the valet charge. Didn't use valet and was charged for it but told at check-in that it was included as complimentary whether we use it or not.
- 4.5/5
Very clean and comfortable. Room felt like you were in a personal cabin. No complementary breakfast and couldn’t use the electric fireplace
- 5/5
Loved it Nothing
- 3/5
Breakfast is no longer included, parking and resort fees of $20 each per night NOT included, carpet slightly threadbare in our room, lighting very dark, no full length mirror, fridge didn’t shut properly. Disappointed.
- 4/5
Everything was good. Need better pillows and more lights in room. A little dusting and mopping wouldn’t hurt the wood floors
- 0.5/5
Place is well overpriced. As far as cleanliness bathroom had previous stays garbage on floor. There was also a balloon left in room. Never in my life did I see a place charge twenty dollars a day for parking. When I brought to their attention showing their website which states valet parking is included, hotel refused to honor it. Even though it was in black and white in their website. Everything is false advertising. Their bowling they have on their website advertising an aquarium overhead. No aquarium. Just fake fish hanging from the wall. Their shops do not have stock yet advertise they are a huge Bass Pro Shop. We ended up getting everything in stock in a bass pro fifteen minutes away. Never go back. False advertising. Charge twenty dollars a day for parking which is outside parking. Totally unacceptable.
- 5/5
We had a very short stay but the room was amazing.
- 5/5
Very luxurious hotel. Free valet with convinent pre call on your phone. Hit a button and 5 min later your car is out front waiting. Freindly people and great rooms.
- 5/5
Great experience!
- 4/5
Did not get breakfast
- 5/5
My only regret is not staying another night!
- 5/5
Absolutely wonderful stay. Room was spacious with a balcony and hot tub. Shower had a waterfall head. Very relaxing stay. Rooms were quiet. Staff helpful and knowledgeable about resort. A lot of options for breakfast. Only wish there was a coffee bar/shop.
- 5/5
We really love this property. It truly was like the outdoors inside. I really liked the screened in porch with the rocking chairs. The room was amazing and so was the jacuzzi tub. I wish the fireplace would have put out warm air but it looked realistic. The complimentary snack basket was a nice surprise. We ate at both restaurants and the food was delicious. The breakfast portions were huge and we definitely could have shared. We got there early but had to wait to check in. We wish the guy at the desk would have told us about the fish feeding at 2:00 and we would have gone to that. We also were told to come back at 4 but when we did another lady said we could have come back at 3:40 and could have checked in then. That’s another thing we wish we had known. Other than those two things everything was great. We also liked the observation deck and the Lookout lounge. Beautiful views and a cool ride to the top!
- 2/5
The room was very nice and clean but you have to have a room key to access the elevators which is disappointing. We went down to breakfast at 8am, having left our belongings in the room to go back up to the maid cleaning our room for us to leave. We had to grab our stuff and rush out, hoping we didn’t forget anything. When we had arrived, the worker told us we could access all amenities even after checkout which isn’t true since you can’t use the elevator without the key. The pictures showed a balcony view of the store but we had the roof of the restaurant as our view so we saw nothing cool. It was incredibly disappointing. Absolutely DO NOT eat at the restaurants here unless you are a vegan yankee. The food is not for us people from the south. All wheat crap, no flavor, beyond expensive and genuinely ~ awful. We spent $200 at the rooftop restaurant for some of the worst food ever. Whalburgers for breakfast was the nastiest, healthiest tasting food ever. I don’t mind healthy alternatives but I don’t want my food to taste like grass. The room itself was super nice. The fireplace is a fake fireplace and does not heat up AT ALL. The air in our room didn’t work at all. The fire pits outside didn’t work. The beds were comfy and the bathroom is nice. Otherwise, there’s no way it was worth $350 a night. I was thoroughly disappointed.
- 5/5
I would definitely stay there again. It was very comfortable and the staff were very helpful and friendly.
- 5/5
Very clean room
- 5/5
Easy check in, super clean, everything is so beautiful
- 5/5
great Stay
- 5/5
I absolutely love this place. Great people, beautiful hotel, awesome Bass Pro Shop, and quick access to downtown. Make this your place to stay in Memphis!
- 3/5
We stayed in the fly fishing cabin. 2 adults, 2 teens. Had to pay 32 dollars per night extra for a rollaway bed. No soap or shampoo dispenser in shower, so be sure to pack yours. No coffee or tea in lobby. The Walburgerz Wild is not a wild menu, waitstaff said go to Boston for venison burgers. The 2 night stay was ok, but the property boasts ‘world class accommodations’ I don’t feel that is what we got. If you are an outdoor enthusiast you will enjoy the decor, but in my opinion it was ‘just a hotel stay.’ A nice view of the Mississippi River from the top of the pyramid that won’t get elsewhere in town. Free if a hotel guest, but 8 dollars if not to ride elevator up. Restaurant was expensive for the quality of food. I felt safe at the hotel, but the homeless people are plentiful in downtown. Be aware of your surroundings if you venture out.
- 5/5
Clean room, cool place to stay
- 5/5
Amazing experience definitely would stay again
- 4/5
Everything was good except the hot tub didn’t work properly and I really looked forward to using it. Also, I liked that Whal Burger offers room service and breakfast, but it would be awesome for the hotel to offer other options such as other restaurants that serves seafood, steak, Mexican, frozen margaritas, and/or buffets where you don’t have to make reservations.
- 5/5
Great property! Excellent staff, very nice room. A little dark but it was the theme (kinda missed daylight after two nights). The balcony was really peaceful. It would’ve been nice to have had a pool but other than that, excellent.
- 4/5
Pros: all staff was friendly, beds were comfortable, in-room jacuzzi was nice, we had plenty of towels, complimentary bottled water and snacks in the room were a nice treat, the property is beautiful, restaurants have good food, environment is fun, parking is close, so many guests had dogs and that made us happy :) . Cons: Not happy about the $20 per day resort fee (I knew before I booked, I just don't understand why), in-room coffee was gross and the paper cups provided were flimsy, leaking faucets in the bathroom, dusty carpets around baseboards, service at restaurants was slow but good (could just be because we weren't there on peak days), The Lookout restaurant had a limited menu on Sunday so that was disappointing but our waiter was so nice, lookout glass decking was shattered in some places (eek!). Like I said, these cons are not enough to keep us from going back....it really is a neat place to stay!
- 5/5
Everything was great from the vallet to checkout
- 1/5
Room 234 hot tub was broke and had to flip breaker to use it. It would come on loudly in the middle of the night until the breaker popped. They wouldnt switch rooms because we booked through Expedia. Light was out in our room and they hand my wife a light bulb to change it. Had reservations at the Lookout restaurant at 6:30, got sat at 7, got someone elses (2 filets and a ceasar) food at 8pm which they said eat until we got our food at 9:45. My wife ordered a new york, but instead they brought same filets (2 hour old steak) out that we sent back cause it wasnt ours, and said they were out of new yorks. And then they start doing construction all around us and couldnt hear anything, so we were done at that point and just ordered pizza. Very dissapointing visit.
- 5/5
This place is incredible! Our stay was absolutely amazing. The room was near perfection, the staff was kind and welcoming, and everything was impeccably clean. Even the fresh, pleasant scent throughout made it feel extra special. It truly went above and beyond anything I expected.
- 5/5
Restaurants and staff are amazing
- 5/5
Liked the room, and shower . Staff from Hotel to restaurant and all in between were amazing, Polite and efficient with customer service. Lodge restaurant off the skyline elevators was not good food. Service was great but food was served raw salmon and raw steak. Not good.
- 3/5
Property was very nice, except extremely bad communication on the observation deck hours. The lady at the desk did not inform us that it was on limited hours and it was not posted anywhere. We were only told that it was closing early Sunday. We ended up checking out early due to having nothing else to do safely. Most all activities around us were closed and there is only so much you can do in a bass pro to keep entertained. When hours of things change signs need to be posted and employees should inform guests. Instead we got a text an hour after we left informing us of the hours of the observation deck. Hotel was beautiful and clean but due to lack of communication probably would not stay here again.
- 4/5
Clean room, nice towels and free goodies on arrival. Staff at check in seemed distracted and although I was a VIP guest was charged for parking. This was later rectified after I spoke with the supervisor. Sky lift was broken so couldn’t use the amenities which is why it was scored at a 3 star. No pool.
- 5/5
Great overall experience. Will go back!
- 5/5
For us we only stayed one night. That one night we will never forget. Recommend staying a night if passing through if not for any other reason then just to treat yourself.
- 4/5
Everything was great but the elevator to the Lookout at the top of the Pyramid was down due to renovations. Little disappointed we weren't informed of that during the booking process. Other than that we had an awesome stay
- 1/5
Overlook was closed, terrace was closed, bar was closed. Was promised a credit from the hotel supervisor and they have not given one and refused to give me anything in writing stating they would have to contact Expedia to process the credit and Expedia would send me a receipt. They lied. Wahlburgers however ten out of ten. The general manager tried to credit us for part of our room, but we have no credit from the hotel as of yet even though she paid them in front of us in the lobby. She also gave us complimentary breakfast for my son’s birthday before our departure this morning.
- 5/5
The room was beautifully maintained, cozy, and very comfortable. Themeing of the hotel was very rustic and outdoorsy. The staff was amazing. Valet was was very efficient and the private shuttle service to and from downtown made our trip so enjoyable.
- 5/5
All around wonderful stay
- 5/5
Great place.
- 4/5
The staff were all very friendly and accommodating and the overall atmosphere is very unique. Our room was clean and had really cool decor and a big balcony overlooking the inside of the pyramid. The shower wasn’t in great shape with loose grout and a wood panel under the sink was loose. Our mini fridge was full of ice at the top and wouldn’t close. Little things but the reason I only give 4 stars.
- 5/5
Very cool room inside bass pro. Good detail and decor throughout store and hotel. Fun things for kids to do like bowling, games, scavenger hunt. Service in restaurant at top was nice. Very friendly staff, be patient takes a while for food to come out. Food was terrific. Everyone friendly who worked there.
- 5/5
Fun place to stay
- 1/5
I didn’t get to actually stay because of an emergency. I called Expedia who talked to 2 people that refused to refund me over $400. My wife went to the ER and had to have surgery. It wasn’t until I went in there and met Taffie that things got taken care of. It shouldn’t matter where someone purchases the room. An emergency is an emergency and even one of the ladies I spoke to at reservations said that but that is not the normal way for an emergency. So, I will never stay there and I will let people know. The way I was treated until I met Taffie is unacceptable.
- 3/5
Beautiful views, very friendly staff. Nice room, found item leftover from previous guest. No laundry facilities, virtual concierge did not respond. Adult beverages very overpriced. High end decor, Would like to see Bass Pro offer items labeled Memphis Pyramid. No microwave in room, but offered in community area
- 5/5
We stayed in an interior room which had a balcony that overlooked the store. The balcony had rocking chairs and table with 4 chairs. We loved eating and drinking there. The room was very clean and the beds were comfy. The spacious bathroom has a walk in shower plus large tub. We were on the 3rd floor which has a bar, sitting area with games and an outdoor terrace to sit by a fire and make s'mores.
- 5/5
Fun things to do wit the kids. Lots of exploring. Comfy beds. Shower and tub were AMAZINGGGGGG
- 5/5
Was a nice stay
- 4/5
One of the most unique properties I’ve ever stayed at. The elevator ride to the top and checking out the view at the top is a must - especially with hotel guests getting express front of the line privilege. The in unit jetted tub is fantastic.
- 3/5
Our room was noisy and all of the pillows had a BO smell. It made it hard to sleep.
- 5/5
The rooms are ver spacious with a comfortable, down home atmosphere.
- 3/5
On the 3rd day we started smelling a sewage smell in our rooms around 10 at night. We called front desk and the night desk lady refused to come up, but stayed she would send someone else. We never saw anyone. We also struggled with housekeeping and had to call down for towels, clean up our own room and get air freshener. Finally they came and cleaned one of our rooms, never vacuumed or cleaned the sinks or showers. We gave up. We actually like the ambiance of this hotel but they truly need to replace the cleaning staff quickly.
- 4/5
Our room was across the hall from a meeting room. A breakfast buffet was set up 5 feet from our hotel room door with people going through the line filling their plates at 7:30 in the morning. It woke us up long before we needed to be up to check out. Also the balcony in our room is so dark that we couldn’t read or eat at the table provided . The staff were all very helpful and friendly.
- 5/5
Great overall experience, everything was a 10.
- 5/5
We loved our room and the hotel. My only complaint would be is that on Sunday (which was the night we stayed), everything closed down at 6:30, so we were not able to be enjoying the bowling, shopping restaurants etc. We were travelling with a 9-year-old and had planned on spending the evening doing this at the hotel/Bass Pro
- 5/5
Clean Room, great view, great staff
- 5/5
We have stayed here multiple times and Always enjoy it!
- 5/5
Our room was gorgeous! I loved the balcony. So relaxing, so peaceful. I’m can’t wait to come back!
- 5/5
Great place to stay. Awesome room and location.
- 5/5
It was great
- 4/5
The room was very unique and we both enjoyed our stay. We were celebrating a 60th birthday. Not sure I’d rate this a 5 star hotel however. The housekeeping staff was definitely not 5 star quality in fact they actually missed cleaning our room on one of the three days that we were there. According to the front desk they are shorthanded and are making attempts to hire. We also called the front desk, via the room phone, to ask for fresh towels and we were placed on hold for 40 minutes we finally just hung up. We then asked, in person at the front desk, why no one would answer the phone. They said “we were too busy” Really at $350 a night you were too busy!! The free standing elevator seemed like it was broken more than it was operational. On Sunday night we made reservations at the Lookout restaurant which was only accessible via the free standing elevator. We left plenty early for our 6:00 pm reservation. It was so chaotic trying to get to the restaurant we barely made it in time. When we were seated we receive this very cheesy looking menu that wasn’t even close to what was advertised. When we inquired about this our waiter said on Sunday the menu is extremely limited. He also stated that he wished this was clearly noted so the guests don’t get disappointed. On the bright side our waiter was excellent. He also steered us in the right direction regarding ordering and the food was excellent. The enter staff was very friendly and went out of their way to make you feel at home.
- 5/5
One of the nicest places I’ve ever stayed! Will do it again!
- 2/5
The exterior view room actually was overlooking the cash register area and not actually outside.
- 5/5
Amazing experience. I wish we had more time there
- 4/5
The lodge itself is beautiful! It’s a very nice room. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The only complaint I have is that every food option and drink option is very expensive. Breakfast is $25 per person. It’s rather inconvenient to leave for each meal. There are only drinks in vending machines. Also, Expedia says they charge an additional $20 for parking. That is now $40 and $100 hold on your card for incidentals.
- 5/5
Luxury suite, nice staff and plenty to do there!
- 5/5
Amazing set up with the Bass Pro shop and restaurants onsite. Nice people, beautiful rooms, safe.
- 5/5
Amazing room experience
- 4/5
The tub had hairs around the sides. The light was not very bright in the toilet room. Everything else was great about are stay.
- 5/5
Wonderfully spectacular!! Perfect place!! Love it!

The facilities were ok but the staff at check in was terrible. We travel all over and look for unique experiences. The facilities met the unique experience criteria but the staff needs upgraded. We thought this would be a great place to bring our grandkids but will never go back after this experience. If this is the Blue Green vacation company…..no thanks!
- 5/5
Very clean. Staff very helpful.
- 5/5
10/10 recommend staying at Big Cypress Lodge! My kids loved it! The rooms are amazing (as long as you get interior balcony). We will definitely stay here again in the future.
- 5/5
Clean, family-friendly, loved the indoor balcony, spacious room!
- 5/5
Love the view but didn’t really like the burgers at walhburgers
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly
- 1/5
We were placed in the original room we booked and several lamps and the Television didn't work. We called MULTIPLE times to have maintenance look at the issues and went to the front desk several times to inquire about the issues. After a night of staying in the room where nothing worked they transfered us to a different room. That was fine except upon checkout we were UPCHARGED for THEM switching our room!! The staff, obviously, couldn't fix the problems so instead of owning their mistakes they told us to change rooms then charge us $100s of dollars more for a room we didn't even book (also the room they switched us to was much smaller and a considerable downgrade from the original room booked, which baffles me as to why it would cost more!)
- 5/5
Everything
- 5/5
Zimmer war perfekt und das Personal sehr nett. Einziger Nachteil die Zimmer haben gar kein Tageslicht
- 5/5
The only issue was the vomit on the bottom of the bathroom door near the toilet.
- 5/5
Room was very good and clean
- 5/5
Room was great and staff was amazing
- 5/5
Great hotel friendly service awesome place
- 3/5
Room was very dark, couldn’t use the bathtub because it was so nasty. Sink was dirty always. Don’t plan on spending that kind of money to come back
- 5/5
Atmosphere friendly staff clean room
- 5/5
Everything great
- 5/5
Amazing room
- 5/5
everything... loved the late night karaoke.. room, atmosophere...
- 3/5
We arrived at five an hour after our 4pm check in availability , and our room wasn't ready until 6:30pm
- 5/5
It's rare to find a hotel that excels not only in its facilities but also in the warmth and dedication of its staff. We are truly grateful for such a wonderful experience and look forward to staying at Big Cypress Lodge again in the future. I give this hotel a rating of 1000/10
- 3/5
we were in room 362 across the way from the banquet hall around 6:30am to 8 am work personnel we’re talking loudly and laughing. It was very disrupting.. very difficult to sleep.
- 3/5
Everything shut down at 7;30pm. Staff somewhat unprofessional using cell phones, eating, and using slang when dealing with customers. Room fireplace didn’t work, found a piece of bacon under the alarm clock, a hair clip on the floor by the lamp, and a cheeze it under the balcony table. Restaurant was “booked” with open tables we saw walking thru dining to the overlook outside. Whatta Berger overpriced and was told could only order bottled beer or wine bc they were closing.
- 5/5
Everything was nice ! The rooms very spacious and clean. Jacuzzi was also a great plus
- 5/5
Everything was amazing
- 4/5
Really amazing decor and experience!
- 5/5
The room was spotless and we loved the amenities and the staff was excellent!
- 5/5
As always a great place to stay
- 5/5
Everything was great, except one interaction with clerk at front desk. Shuttle was out of service. When I asked what we were supposed to do, she raised her voice to tell me that she couldn't help, and when I asked to speak to the manager she immediately told me, again in a raised voice, that she was "In a meeting".
- 5/5
Friendly staff, loved the rooms and resort. Very nice experience. We would definitely stay here again
- 5/5
Loved the Lodge feel, staff was very nice. Amenities were nice!!
- 1/5
We booked the room through Expedia because the website for the resort wasn’t working. When we arrived we were treated poorly for booking through a 3rd party. We were given an ada room because we booked through 3rd party. Very disappointing because we were looking forward to the tub in the room. We were unable to check in at 4 and not given a room until 5:30. Then was only given 30 minutes extra for late check out. Staff was incredibly rude. The resort itself was very cool with lots of amenities. The customer service was very poor.
- 1/5
Room wasn't ready at check in
- 4/5
Room was very clean, staff was very nice and helpful, we really enjoyed our stay here! Breakfast was good, I do think that $24/pp each day for breakfast is steep but the food was yummy!
- 5/5
The coffee was okay; thanks for the hot cocoa. Whoever designed the bed system should put a page of instruction within. Terry said the bathroom toilet seat would not stay up! But we had a wonderful time! Terry went up to the top; we both enjoyed walking around and shopping and everyone of the staff was absolutely fantastic--kind, helpful, & friendly! It's a great place to stay! Thanks so much for making our mini-break "perfect"!!
- 5/5
Amazing room with views over the store. Not much to do of an evening though once the store is closed. The shuttle service was an amazing extra.
- 5/5
Amazing and we look forward too returning
- 1/5
The room itself was so nice and cozy besides it being hot and never cooling off! But our check in was late - almost 2 hours late and we had to wait on it to be cleaned still, changing our entire evening plans. At checkout the elevators were down and we were told by staff on the floor that they didn’t know how to get us out and we just had to wait? Wild experience. Nice facility but definitely needs major improvements!
- 5/5
The room was amazing and comfortable. The staff was outstanding and greeted you with a smile and was very courteous and welcoming and outstanding service. I would definitely recommend to anyone to stay there and I definitely stay there again in the future.
- 4/5
We had an interior room with fireplace (no heating just ambiance). The first thing we saw was a literal Christmas tree in our room!! Tony was AMAZING! And everywhere at once. It was walkable to other points of interest if you’re ok walking a mile or more
- 5/5
We did not eat breakfast
- 5/5
This is a great hotel in memphis. Its very unique. Think hunting lodge … some might not like animals displayed. Top of pyramid nice look out over city and mississippi. Bowling under the sea is cool. The bayou inside with huge fish, alligators and aquariums we great to see. The hotel has a courtesy ride program that takes you and picks you up when you’re finished seeing areas of Memphis. Staff were all helpful. Memphis needs more tourists and more love. Consider going. Sunrecords tour was amazing. Basketball game fun too. Cheap seats 9.00.
- 1/5
The room was not up to standard. The toilet bowl ran water all night. The hot water in the shower did not work. The bathtubs jacuzzi jets turned on twice throughout the night and woke us up. The lady Abby at the front desk was not helpful nor did she do her job properly. I was charged for a pet fee that was inaccurate. I did not have a pet with me. I spent over $500 dollars to stay at resort. A motel 6 is ran better than this for a fraction of the price.
- 3/5
The hotel was very nice. The service at the wahlburgers restaruant in the bar area was understaffed as we waited patiently and watched at least three different tables walk out due to no service at all after waiting just to be greeted forever. The food was ok but really disappointing. The views were amazing at the lookout restaurant. Service was great at the lookout restaurant.
- 1/5
No the fireplace didn’t get hot . The heater took all night to circulate. The bathroom was not clean as needed to be. We asked the front desk for snacks and water because they didn’t give them to us upon arrival in room nd they stated they had ran out . Well the store was right in there they could have went and gotten snacks n water from there . No apologies for not having any nothing . For the price I paid I could have went somewhere else and stayed longer. Will not be back and I stay in town n normally come and stay twice a year. Horrible experience this time around
- 4/5
Clean rooms but the pillows were TERRIBLE. Almost went down to buy a pillow they were beyond dead and made the mistake of looking inside the pillow case 😵. Like many reviews say not much to do later in the day in this area so we knew that going in. A pool and hot tub would be a welcome addition. Gym was good and provided something to do in the evening. The noises do carry and echo in the pyramid so people on the patio making noise or in the open lounge can get loud but a noise machine/app for a light sleeper can drown it out. Overall we read reviews so we knew the downsides but my son really wanted to stay there as he loves bass pro shop so we enjoyed the experience.
- 5/5
We have an interior facing room which was so awesome. Hearing them close the store every night was cool. The bowling alley was better busy so definitely make reservations ahead of time. All hotel guests get a free express pass to the overlook which was a nice perk. The store is massive! One minute you're looking at clothing, then alligators, then boats, then fish. The place is filled with really great details to make you feel like you're emersed in an actual swamp. We stayed 3 nights which was perfect to mosey around the property and have 1 day throughout Memphis. Would definitely recommend!
- 5/5
Cool place, nice staff
- 3/5
I booked an exterior room under the impression that the room would have a view of the city or the river. To my surprise, I can only see the fire stairs outside my window. The Hotel.com website needs to state clearly that the exterior room would not have a view of the city.
- 5/5
Stayed on our way to & from Chicago. Absolutely fantastic place! We will stay again!
- 5/5
This hotel is so charming! We loved the decor and the convenience of everything being right on the property. Bass pro shops was incredible as was the food from Wahlburgers. Our room was nice and quiet we stayed both on our way to Chicago & our way back. Our first room was an inside room nice and quiet & the second was an outside terraced with our own sitting area to sit outside. The property was fabulous for traveling with our dog. This is truly a dog friendly hotel! They even provided bowls, treats, a sweet little bandana and our little guy Baxter had free rein to join us throughout the property! We will definitely stay here again!
- 5/5
Room and hotel were very clean and staff was very helpful and courteous.
- 5/5
Great decor and staff, would highly recommend
- 5/5
The room was very clean except when we used the spa tub, a little bit of stuff came out of the jets. Staff was very friendly and polite. We thought the fireplace was for ambiance only because we could find a remote or switch for it and we did not eat breakfast.
- 3/5
Noooo
- 5/5
Room was clean and spacious. The water pressure in the shower was fantastic
- 5/5
It was an excellent experience and we loved it all
- 4/5
We always enjoy the unique experience of staying at big cypress lodge. They are friendly and helpful. The shuttle is an amazing plus. The rooms are very nice. The only reason I didn’t give it a five star is that the rooms are showing lots of wear and tear. They need a deep cleaning and need a maintenance re-fresh
- 4/5
Great room, lots to do. Wish the family movie would have been in a larger space with more popcorn! It also has Liz messaging about the spa so I am guessing it recently went away because there is not one there.
- 5/5
Excellent!
- 5/5
I didn’t turn on fireplace nor did we eat breakfast!
- 2/5
The room is incredible but the staff are sub par. We weren’t informed about breakfast until it was too late and they were closed. We actually weren’t informed about much of anything besides how to use the elevator. The staff truly need to fix their attitude and be more forthcoming to the guests about the hotel amenities!
- 1/5
Avoid if you have small children. Very noisy specially if they place you by the bar on the 3rd floor
- 5/5
The attention to detail in everything from decor to amenities is incredible! Can’t wait to come back!
- 5/5
The only negativity is the breakfast
- 5/5
We used valet parking, they were fantastic!! All staff were friendly and polite, it was very busy bc of Christmas travelers.
- 5/5
We love the Big Cypress Lodge at Bass Pro Memphis! Great stay and rest!!
- 5/5
Nicest hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Highly recommend. So beautiful.
- 5/5
Everything was great! It’s a very relaxing hotel to visit but also has lots to do in the hotel and surrounding areas. 10/10 we are planning to visit again!
- 5/5
Really nice and clean
- 5/5
The front desk was incredible. Shonta, Briana & Christy all did a great job and was very informative and kind!! Rooms were huge and comfortable!
- 4/5
The room and facility were clean
- 4/5
The room was quiet and the soaking tub was very relaxing.
- 4/5
Room was okay. Poor lighting & long walk for being an accessible room.
- 5/5
Super nice and cool rooms with not wish there was a separate entrance for the hotel other than the store
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Best hotel I’ve ever stayed in and my son loved it. They were setting up Santa and my son thought it was his actual elf setting up for Santa. Please was clean and the staff was very helpful and nice.
- 5/5
The room was auch a beautiful cozy room for my family of four. From the moment you step outside on to the balcony you feel like your really in a cabin. The room was very clean and the staff were amazing. My kids were so happy to see a Christmas tree in our room with beautiful lights. The bath was so relaxing and the shower was so relaxing, it felt like taking a shower under a waterfall. If your wondering if you should stay even for one night it is so worth it!! Thank you Big Cypress Lodge
- 5/5
Room was wonderful. Only staff we had interactions with was desk clerk Tony. He was very welcoming.
- 4/5
The room was beautiful, friendly staff, not much in surrounding areas, could be better food options but all round good stay
- 5/5
The room was excellent. The balcony in the room was really cool.
- 5/5
I enoyed the view my room was comfy staff was excellent
- 5/5
Room was beautiful and super clean. No complaints would love to stay here again at the lodge
- 3/5
Breakfast was poor effort, almost uneatable. Room is dark and gloomy, Bars and restruants in hotel were marginal. Not a good showing for what the Big Cedar association has to show. You could do. better here. Fishbowl bar no draft beer, dirty area--poor effort on Bass Pros part. Do better.
- 5/5
Nice big room. We had a nice Christmas tree in our room. That was nice. Not much to do once the store closed though.
- 3/5
We showed up a few hours early and asked about checking in. They said not till 3:30. We when back at 2:30 just to see and they took our name and number and said they would call us as soon as it was ready. We waited till 4:00 and they did not call, so we checked again and they said the room was ready. We also asked about changing to an interior room with a balcony and were told they would check but did not confirm. When we finally made it to our room, not only had we lost our room with a view but there was no balcony. At check out the attendant was polite and said we were good to go. I had already alerted valet thru their app. We waited about 5 minutes and there was no one around. I went back inside to the front desk, and the employee was asleep in a small room off to the side of the front desk. I woke her and she was polite and asked what did I need. (This was the same person that just checked us out) I asked her about the valet app and if I had done it properly, she then told me that they were not in yet but that she would go get our car. I’m thinking maybe if she was rested, she would have thought to mention this when we checked out. Also when we did finally check in, they were telling others that their room was not ready and the staff was still cleaning rooms when we returned from dinner at a6:45 pm. Overall, it is a nice facility and has the potential to be amazing, they just need some staff that are more customer oriented.
- 5/5
We had a great time - Thanksgiving 2025!
- 5/5
Everyone should try the Cypress Lodge. The atmosphere was amazing. So many things to look at and check out. Has been one of our top hotel destinations.
- 1/5
They do not provide room service, which is unacceptable for a hotel in this price range. Our bathroom was dirty, with visible grime and buildup that clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly. The staff was also not flexible at all. We asked to check out one day earlier because we were not feeling well, and they still refused to refund the unused night. On top of that, the front desk employees were rude and their customer service was very poor. Definitely not worth the price, and I would never stay here again.
- 5/5
Amazing. A must stay in Memphis. Truly amazing rooms and experience!!!!
- 5/5
Nice place
- 5/5
The lodge was amazing, we will be back soon.
- 5/5
The room was AMAZING!
- 5/5
Fun place to stay.
- 4/5
Staff was friendly, room was amazing but we had to wait for an hour and a half past check-in time to get our room. Other than that great experience.
- 4/5
Room is pretty awesome and the lodge is amazing!
- 5/5
Everthing was great the room very big and nice and clean as well. I will be coming back.
- 5/5
This was one of the coolest experiences we have had… This is not just a hotel, but is an experience! We brought our two little dachshunds and we had a blast walking through the store, eating at the Wahlburgers restaurant, sitting in the 3rs floor Lounge with them and putting the signs on our door that showed that we had two lovable cups in our room… The rooms were huge and amazing… We had a terrace we could go out to our big patio and walk the dogs and it was just absolutely beautiful We will definitely come back here again soon. Amenities and kindness over the top.
- 5/5
Amazing
- 5/5
Wonderful, Beautiful!!
- 5/5
Everything was absolutely perfect! We will definitely be staying again.
- 5/5
The room was perfect! There is a bit of a ventilation problem; while there is air conditioning in the room, it doesn’t have any air flow! It can get a little hot.
- 2/5
Staff wasn’t friend, restaurant was low quality for
- 5/5
It was all perfect
- 5/5
Beautiful room nice balcony
- 5/5
Everything was fantastic
- 5/5
The room was absolutely beautiful, the balcony was perfect, staff was great and attentive, we definitely will be back! My husband and I came for an anniversary weekend and it was perfect! We loved everything about it!
- 5/5
Beautiful place. Easy to park. Clean pretty room. Staff was great. Breakfast was pricey and only 1 option, a buffet, so look into that if you have concerns.
- 3/5
Towels were not fresh. Room was not made up. Room next to laundry room so very loud with both workers and machine.
- 5/5
Room was clean and perfect!
- 5/5
Absolutely love this place. Safe, fun, great amenities. The front desk friendliness at night is top notch. Could definitely use some coaching during the day to be candid. Won't stop me from staying there, just an observation.
- 4/5
Staff was great. Lodge was spotless. However, we got there an hour early & they wanted us to pay $50 for early check in. After driving 6 hours to get told we had to wait another hour is aggravating & pointless knowing that our room is ready for us to occupy it. Just another way to get more money!!!!
- 5/5
The room was everything!!
- 5/5
The room was great. I was clean and I didn’t have any problems
- 5/5
Very cool place to stay. Rooms are spacious and comfy with views of the store. Valet parking is safe and secure.
- 5/5
Everything was perfect. Rooms were very nice and staff was very friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Highly recommended for a getaway!
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Great place
- 5/5
The hotel is great but the area is very sketchy and there are signs posted around to ensure you take all valuables out of your vehicle when you park. Which makes me feel like I was going to walk out to busted out windows
- 1/5
Everything was horrible. Will not book here again.
- 5/5
Very beautiful and comfortable rooms. Loved the bathroom and deep soaking tub and rainfall shower. Breakfast was average, I wish you didn’t have to pay separately for the breakfast considering the price of the room. Only complaint would be that and that sometimes the tub or shower would turn on by itself randomly in the middle of the night. But I also loved having the option to have the shuttle take us anywhere we needed and pick us up within a 3 mile radius from the hotel. Also loved the views from the outdoor balcony where you can go out and roast marshmallows to make s’mores or enjoy a drink from the bar.
- 3/5
The bowling alley was an afterthought--not real bowling floors, the auto up/down feature of the bumper rails was broken so we just played with them up the entire time for my youngest and the pin retrieval was half broken so it never picked up the center pin, always giving some bonus points 😜 The view from the top was lovely and the restaurant up there was also pleasant, but the food is better downstairs and everything is $3-5 cheaper when you're not paying for that view. The shuttle drivers and the app for pick up and drop off were INCREDIBLE. Honestly, best perk of the stay. They were absolutely amazing. The gym was also amazing & had all you need. Overall, I suppose I would opt for staying in a basic room. Definitely not worth the money to stay in a suite in a place like this.
- 5/5
Welcoming and kind staff. So many activities and fun things to do. Jacuzzi tub
- 5/5
we enjoyed the views and sunset from the walkout deck and restaurant/bar up there
- 5/5
From valet parking
- 5/5
Every staff member at the lodge that we encountered was friendly and greeted us. Such a great experience.
- 3/5
Not the same as Big Cedar Lodge in Branson. I will probably never stay there again. Construction was going on our floor which really made it feel not special. The walk around where the outside bar area is had dog poop multiple places.
- 5/5
Very nice facilty, unique, great fun , clean and lots to do
- 5/5
We stayed 2 nights and it was great! I would have loved to get a spa treatment. This resort had a spa at one time but it has since closed. Everything else was wonderful, we’ll definitely be back
- 5/5
8th wonder of the world
- 5/5
Clean room. A lot to see.
- 5/5
Great experience!!
- 5/5
Great place to stay!!
- 5/5
Its awesome, we had a sleep over at the BASS PRO SHOP. Loved it.
- 5/5
Jacuzzi was very relaxing, and service was excellent
- 4/5
There was not a single staff member that was not extremely friendly! The accommodations were excellent! I would have loved mover lighting in stall area, room/sheets smelled a little weird but could have been me. A microwave would have been convenient, but overall we would definitely return!
- 5/5
Friendly staff, very clean enjoy the view beautiful decor
- 5/5
Love the shower… the jacuzzi too but the buttons wouldn’t work to make it hot but overall I recommend it to anyone
- 5/5
Room was absolutely amazing and felt very cozy. Definitely recommending to everyone to stay here for a weekend getaway! Bingo night was a hit!
- 5/5
Enjoyed walking around and looking at all the types of fish they had. Really enjoyed riding the Sky High elevator and the observation deck views.
- 5/5
Clean room. Friendly staff. Convenient.
- 4/5
The property was nice, but I will say the beds were super uncomfortable. For what it cost to stay at this property i would expect a comfortable bed. Also throughout the night we kept feeling super hot even though the ac was set at the lowest we could set it - 68 degrees. With our VIP Platinum status it says if upgrade is available we can get it. I asked them about it, main thing I wanted was a 1 bed room (we booked last minute and only 2 bed was available in my price range). She said they were completely booked, even though when i looked I could see a regular 1 bed room available. Maybe the king bed would have been more comfortable.
- 5/5
Quiet, relaxing atmosphere.
- 5/5
Excellent place.. Gorgeous at night if you have an interior room on the 3rd level that looks over the store.
- 5/5
We really liked the rustic decorations. The room was very clean. It's just a cool place to stay.
- 5/5
Great, unique hotel with excellent shuttle service.
- 4/5
They did provide ample towels and washcloths. Wish activities were open later.
- 1/5
Now for our disappointment with our stay. Our first night as we were settling in, my husband pulled back the sheet and comforter, got into bed and immediately reached down “what is this” and pulled out a pair of women’s underwear from under the covers at the bottom of the “freshly made” bed! I’m sorry, but this was disgusting to us and very surprising considering expectations for this resort. I immediately contacted the “Virtual Concierge” to no avail. I then called the front desk, explained the situation and was told they would send housekeeping up right away, which they did. However, housekeeping did change the bedding, but only on that ONE bed! Come on, if one bed wasn’t properly stripped between guests, most likely the other wasn’t either! This alone indicated to us the less than ideal level of cleanliness and service of this resort. The following day the television went out, we called the front desk and were told that maintenance would be right up, followed by a return call to say that they were aware of the problem and that stations would be returning, one at a time over the next few hours. Not a problem as we we’re heading out for the day. This was never fixed. *cont’d.

NA
- 5/5
Loved the room the decor was awesome
- 5/5
This property was very clean and scenic.
- 4/5
Beautiful and clean room. Comfortable bed. Exceptional hot tub. Shower water pressure not ideal. Overall experience a plus. Definitely just a one night thing.
- 4/5
It was a nice place to stay. Would try again.
- 4/5
Unique hotel and something a bit different but in a good way. Room was lovely and the basket of complimentary snacks was a great touch. Plenty of parking and perfect driving distance to Graceland. My only criticism would be that even with the lights on the room was a little dark and all the restaurants had shut by 9pm when we arrived.
- 5/5
Rooms were nicely done
- 4/5
Very unique quality property we fully enjoyed! Comfortable bed and great staff. My wife thought soaces were too dimly lit. We enjoyed exploring and also shopping at Bass Pro. The service in the restaurant at the top was slow but food terrific. Free shuttle service to downtown but did not try. Valet service included. Would stay here again if passing through Memphis.
- 5/5
This property exceeded our expectations and we will definitely stay again. The terrace was very private and super spacious. The room was very clean and had everything, including a basket of snacks. Our bathroom had a separate shower and large air tub. Both were wonderfully relaxing. They even provided toiletries. The staff was very friendly and happy to suggest local restaurants and things to do. I would highly recommend Big Cypress Lodge. It's a bit more expensive than your average hotel, but worth every penny!
- 5/5
There isn’t another place I would’ve picked or preferred! It is a fantastic “resort” and from the quality of the staff and facilities to the home like rooms with the most comfortable beds! I highly recommend!
- 5/5
Everything was clean, our room was perfect, and the staff - especially the bellman, Jeffrey, was extremely friendly and helpful. We had a great stay.
- 5/5
Cool spot
- 3/5
The elevator to the top of the pyramid was neat. But one of the glass floor panels was shattered. See photo. The view of Memphis was lovely, but I didn’t trust the deck because tourists kept jumping up and down on the deck near the shattered panel like lunatics. It was okay to stay the night, but I don’t think I’ll go back, especially for the price. The breakfast was so expensive I skipped it.
- 5/5
Very cozy, we had an interior room and the view from the balcony was great! The breakfast was 10/10, had lots of variety! There was plenty of things to do, even had a kid friendly area which was much appreciated!
- 5/5
The architectural design is amazing, I don’t like poor lights at the comunes areas like hall way's
- 5/5
Beautiful clean place
- 2/5
Stayed here several years ago and the hotel was clean and in good shape. Since then, the quality and cleanliness was subpar. Really the entire place (including restaurants) has gone way down in quality. This is NOT a 5 star hotel.
- 5/5
This place is insane. Totally worth it. An experience like no other. I love bass pro so this was a dream for me. Rooms are amazing. Staff is wonderful. Just awesome.
- 5/5
The hotel is great apart from the mossi bites i got in the room i did get a partial refund for this Memphis in general needs some investment you would not go for more than one day.
- 4/5

- 5/5
Very nice hotel. Limited activities other than shopping and eating.
- 5/5
Big Cypress Lodge is very impressive! Lodge personnel was friendly and met our needs when necessary. Excellent stay.
- 5/5
I loved ilthe stay. Only downside is there weren't enough elevators to access the 3rd floor and it was a long walk to the room. Otherwise, it's very relaxing and I will definitely stay again.
- 5/5
What a wonderful experience! We loved everything about our stay from the building to all of the amazing attractions. The night was peaceful and comfortable, thank you so much for a great time!
- 2/5
For what they charge, I expect better. Charged $40 for general parking outside the store and the jacuzzi didn’t work.
- 3/5
You can’t call the restaurant for reservations. The beds were comfortable. No Hot water and the elevators were broken during our stay. Customer service refuses to respond.
- 5/5
…
- 5/5
This was an amazing property. I will definitely come back. I ate at the restaurant at the top. It was great. This will definitely be a stop on my next road trip.
- 5/5
Very cool place to stay
- 3/5
I had booked one night but needed to stay 2 nights. When I asked I was told I would have to cancel the external view room as they didn’t have one of those rooms available for the 2nd night. As I booked it through Hotels.com they asked me to cancel the room and they would waive the fee to get a 100% refund problem was they wanted £70 extra as the room fee had gone up since I booked it. I agreed and went to the room. I then went on Hotels.com and found it was actually £20 cheaper!!! So I booked it and got the Hotel to cancel it. Frustrated as they only refunded £198 when I’d paid £219 but I was so fed up I couldn’t be bothered to argue. The room was nice but it’s a hotel over a shopping Center open to the public, most of the entertainment was mid week or on Friday or Saturdays. They have private events so the Mississippi bar terrace was not in use, supposedly there are discounts on bowling but then told it was last year but not this year but was clearly stated in the literature there was discounts. Overall not impressed plus there is a horrible smell.

Need to stop charging people cards for to much money

Great place to stay. They have a few dinning options, bowling alley, pet friendly, free shuttle to Downtown/Beale street.

2nd time stay and wont be our last

Very dog friendly. A little difficult to take the dog outside as only one entrance and we were at the back of the facility. Incredibly nice though. Bathroom was beautiful. This was just a one night stay on a trip to somewhere else and ended up being the highlight for my kids (age 8 and 10).

We enjoyed the outdoors experiences while staying inside. The rocking chairs on the porch. All the events made the children so happy

We really enjoyed our stay. From check in, the bellman was an older gentleman who was super helpful and friendly. He even did a quick room tour and showed us how to use dimmers. Beds were comfy and decor was great. The view from our room and the bar area was really nice.

Awesome rooms

Room was lovely, shame that room facilities such as coffee and water were not replenished daily. Would have been amazing if there was a pool. Could have used better access to sunlight.

Such a cute place to stay! The only downsides are the restaurant closes earlier than the hotel so we came on a Sunday and the restaurant closed at seven so we had to order room service and the only option was wahlburgers. Which was good but expensive with service fee. And the only other downside beside that was the beds aren’t very comfortable. Actually, they’re actually very very uncomfortable. Other than that, it is such a cute place to stay and the kids love sitting on the porch and being inside The pro shop itself. Love it so much I would stay again.

Nice hotel. We loved it!

The room and staff were awesome! The walls must be thin though because it was so loud from people messing around in the hall till early morning hours.

I was charged more than my friend and our rooms were booked at the same time and rooms were identical. Why was I charged that much more. Very unhappy

We had a fantastic stay at Big Cypress Lodge. The check-in process was quick and easy, the room clean and comfortable and the hotel experiences/activities were great. We would stay here again.

The in room snacks and waters were a welcome perk! The bubble tub didn’t work though which was a bit of an inconvenience. Otherwise the stay was great. An upgrade to the in room TV would add much to the experience.

Staff seemed annoyed. Staff was on their cell phones during customer interactions. Waited over 30 minutes for a staff member to assist us in the bowling area. Staff in restaurants provided extremely slow service! There was no sense of urgency or care to provide a wonderful experience for the guests.

It would be great to have destination/Tesla chargers since it's right in the heart of Memphis. Also, we had quite a few broken things in the room as well as pealing paint on the ceiling. The view was lacking for exterior, but we understand that can't be changed. Other than that, we had a great stay.

Loved our time here

Love the room and staff. The free shuttle was great! The rocking chairs are very easy to flip backwards. Our kid did flip backwards when sitting in the chair.
- 5/5
Staff was wonderful!! Really frustrating that our room wasnt quite, dogs barking for several hours, pillows were absolutely horrible, bedding smelled dirty. For what we paid, it should have been up to par!!

Hotel is BEAUTIFUL and so Clean! Definitely top notch! This hotel will not disappoint

Like a dungeon, I don’t think there is a light bulb above 20 watts, & most are 10 watts
- 4/5
We liked the propert, it was different but it seemed runned down. The room was very dark and not well lit. Seemed to need some upgrading due to wall discoloration and dirty or stained towels. The bowling alley didn’t function very good and not enough bowling ball selection (bf has large hands/ fingers). Food selection was only from the one burger restaurant for room service. Did the service for a couple of nights but not worth the cost.

Staff were great, breakfast was good. Loved the shopping and dinner.
