Best Western Horizon Inn

We asked for a quiet room and were given one in a building well away from the busy road out front. Breakfast was basic, but tasty (and saved us the $50 we would have no doubt spent at the diner next door). Only downside was that we had a room which was likely a smoking room at one time and the smell of "no smoke" deodorizer was heavy in the room. A few hours with the A/C running helped minimize the smell and we had a fine weekend.

Highly recommend this hotel. Exceptional customer service, really clean rooms, grounds are kept up and a wonderful breakfast.

The hotel was average. The rooms were quite dated. Noise from other guests could be heard through the walls easily. Decent breakfast. Friendly staff. Close to the highway with easy access for traveling. Overall the hotel is fine for a quick stop, but over priced for what is offered.

Something I experienced twice during my stay this time: there was a customer taking a large slice of the counter person's time, while a line slowly built to half a dozen people. The staff member was clearly trying to manage the situation as best she could, but with no one to provide any backup, there were a bunch of us who were inconvenienced.

We were disappointed with the breakfast. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

The room was very nice. Set up perfectly for our cat who could jump from the couch to the separation ledge then from bed to bed. Great getting on the first floor

Dog Park is great

I much appreciate the fact that oat milk was provided. On the downside, both kinds of breakfast cereal provided contain honey. Honey, being an animal product, is not consumed by vegans. MAINTENANCE: In our room (Room 114), the sink drains slowly.

The breakfast was fresh and convenient. Breakfast being available until 10 AM would be helpful for me. The staff was very helpful and helping me to reserve a second night that was unexpected.

We really like the beds and water pressure in the rooms at the back of the property. Alexus always does and excellent job of checking us in. We like that it's so quiet and the lovely smell of the jasmine. The little woman who does the breakfast always does an excellent job and always has a smile. It's become our home away from home because of medical appointments. Thank you

Checkin was done with a remote worker through a kiosk. It was convenient but I don’t Iike the outsourcing of jobs. I won’t stay here again.

Desk staff appeared to be genuine in thier display iof hospitality.

Spacious and clean room. The mini-fridge is on the small side, so it wouldn't work well for us in the future if we were traveling with a very large amount of food; but we did manage to store quite a bit of food in it nevertheless. [I have a special diet, so preparing my meals is often easier than finding restaurants that will work.

They do need to upgrade their lamps to include phone chargers- especially the lamps in the desk. And please make sure your desk chairs are not broken. The “adjuster” level on my chair was broken which made it difficult for me to work while sitting on the desk. I ended up using my laptop on my bed.

The pictures of the rooms on the website are not accurate. They show rooms to seem newer than they are, the toilet was leaking all night.

We stay at this location each time we travel through Medford. There is a diner onsite. The area is walkable if you want to go get a coffee or provisions for your trip. Always greeted with a smile. The breakfast is fantastic. The whole experience is easy and convenient for us. We will stay here in future.

Front desk person Teresa is the bomb! She remembers me from years gone by. This property is our first stop in our drive to southern California. It has a free breakfast, Big Bear diner and great staff. The rooms are nicely appointed and comfortable. They always make room for our 2 furry friends. I highly recommend this Best Western.

The breakfast was good. Biscuits & gravy is a favorite of mine but not everyones gravy is good, this one was. The raisin bread was yummy. My kid really liked the eggs! The staff I met was very nice & seemed very willing to help if needed. The room was clean, we slept well! There is plenty of parking.

We have stayed here several times over the past few years. The location is easy when passing through the area with several restaurants near by along with Fred Meyer. Rooms are clean and staff is always friendly. Pool is a great bonus. This is our go to location when in the area.

The diner nearby nice & convenient as well as the dog park across the street for those traveling with dogs.

Hotel is a little dated. No USB and limited electrical connections. I don't like the bathroom sink outside the bathroom and open to the room. Typical Best Western style.

This was a friendly and clean place to stay with a nice outdoor pool. The bed was a little Springy with small pillows. The shower was nice.

Room stunk had to spray room with room spray I had in my car. There was a pubic hair on tub couldn’t take a tub bath on shower. Had hair conditioner and lotion no shampoo. Beds great. Breakfast out of stuff.

There was a soiled washcloth left in the bathroom along with several hairs that weren’t ours. That grossed us out. On the plus side, the bedding was clean & the beds were comfortable.

We were put in the room next to where the breakfast is served in the morning. It was very noisy and the door was squeaky with people slamming the door. The night was very noisy also. Not sure which rooms close to the room we were in was where most of the noise was coming from. There were people in the breakfast room into late at night. Could hear them talking through the walls until after midnight. We had to be up early in the morning. Disappointed this time around. The time before this one, it had been great. We got a room at this motel because I was having eye surgery done and it is close to the eye doctor's office. Hopefully, next month when we come back, things will be a little quieter. Having eye surgery again.

Bathtub drained poorly

I did not like that the floors were not clean. I was there for 5 days and they were never washed.

The air conditioner in the room only had one speed and it was low. And the air did not feel very cold that was coming out of the unit. On a 90° day the room struggled to cool down. Eventually, at night it cooled down a bit. But during the evening, it was pretty muggy in the room.

We enjoyed our stay the temp was 92 when we arrived. The outdoor pool was great. I also favored the separate locations of the Hot tub and Swimming Pool.

On a positive note, the room was clean and the mini fridge worked perfectly. Conveniently located. We would probably check out another hotel on our next trip.

We booked a King bed room and paid a premium for it, but upon arrival, we were informed that a King room was not available. The staff member repeated this without offering any alternatives or adjustments, despite the fact that a room with two queen beds is less expensive.

Nice to have the Black Bear Diner in the parking lot. The breakfast staff were friendly and on top of the busy weekend soccer rush. Breakfast food is as expected for a free breakfast. Pleasant stay in a comfortable room. Plenty of parking. The pool wasn't open yet but we enjoyed the hot tub's powerful jets. Breakfast room had real scrambled eggs but sadly no waffle maker. Convenient access to I-5 yet reasonably quiet.

The property is in the process of some updates but I was a little bit disappointed with the continental breakfast as the best I've had from Best Western was the Sea Tac location otherwise not bad.

Newer carpet and furnishing except bathroom was very outdated, with door closed there was a large gap around it that let in light, air and felt unsafe. Outdated property. Staff was very friendly and the room was very clean. Good stay for the price besides the issue with the older door.

Couldn't connect to internet. Front office gave me the number to get "help". The help just told me they couldn't solve it right away and would call me back but never called back and never helped. I only stayed there instead of a cheaper spot for hopefully better Internet for work and instead had none. Got zero work done, waste of my money.

My husband has had many heart procedures at The rogue valley medical center and this hotel is close. I also feel safe there while I am alone and there is a diner next door. I just recently used uber and it was great.

The property was close to the freeway for traveling.

Stay was ok. Heard room next to us. Guy that was alone so you can imagin, one night and snoring another. Probably same guy. If you are a late sleeper, dont stay here. The cleaning carts are like trains running in the morning.

Overall, our stay was ok. However, the customer service received by Rose was poor and unacceptable.

Older but well-maintained motel. 'Entertainment' was a 'smart TV,' which didn't even have local channels; it was basically a non-starter for watching, except for obscure streaming sites. Wi-Fi wouldn't work for me, but staff called their ISP who called but still couldn't resolve issue (their server wouldn't accept my computer's MAC address; I've connected OK in probably 100 or more hotels). Overall, a decent deal for the price.Hotel breakfast was good, and there is a Black Bear Diner next door.

Excellent. Only hotel I’ve stayed in in the last 5 years where I didn’t have to beg for clean towels or toilet paper. I will stay here from now on. I come down to Medford 3 to 4 times a year.
