The only problem was the fact that the room we booked was in a basement with no windows and a very strong musty smell. The good thing was that Rodger was able to accommodate us by switching rooms and those rooms were very nice. He made a lovely breakfast.

However, the listing is quite misleading when it comes to amenities. There is no spa or hot springs, and there is no on-site restaurant or bar as suggested. The property itself feels more like a converted family home that has been turned into a bed-and-breakfast, with former kids bedrooms now rented out individually. Because of the gap between what was advertised and what we experienced, we were very disappointed and ultimately chose to leave early.

Nice place! Cozy and quiet. I would have liked to have more time to enjoy the details but was in town for a nearby wedding and activities.

Roger and Sandy were amazing hosts. Excellent location and the property is beautiful and well maintained. Breakfast was wonderful every morning. Was a very enjoyable and much needed relaxing stay. We will definitely consider the Ashe Farm if we are in the area again.

Roger and Sandy were great, and the breakfast was amazing. Roger was able to accommodate byzantine dietary restrictions and we were well-fed every morning.

We had a wonderful time at Ashe Farm! Roger and his wonderful host. He showed us around the property and gave excellent restaurant recommendations for our short stay. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast could not be beat!

Wish we would of had more time to spend there—beautiful country and they had many sitting spots to enjoy —very hospitable and breakfast was amazing.

Rogers and Sandy were wonderful. Cute and cozy. Only thing we weren’t expecting was you cannot have food or drinks in your room except water. Otherwise everything was great!

The host was incredibly friendly, and very helpful in every way. I hit the breakfast jackpot with plenty of amazing dishes for my gluten free diet! The outdoor area was very serene - just what I needed after coming from downtown Asheville! Just be prepared for a steep (though short) winding road to the property (it felt much easier on the way out!) I would definitely return - thank you, Roger and Sandy!

Amazing find, lovely place, excellent food. Huge country breakfast, cooked to order was worth every penny - not to mention the homemade apple butter and scones that were scrumptious. We sat out by the creek and enjoyed our evening. Perfect place to stay if biking or hiking or anything in the area. Thanks for a lovely stay.

The room we stayed in had no air conditioning, only a fan. We tried to open windows but there were storm windows. The host was ok friendly. Breakfast was very good.

This little B&B was great for a girls weekend get away. They rent out 4 rooms in their home and We were the only ones in the house for the 2 nights we were there that weekend. Roger (the owner) was extremely accommodating and gave some great recommendations for dinner and site seeing. Breakfast was homecooked each morning also. We will definitely be back.

The owner is very nice and communicated with us before arrival. We requested. Vegan breakfast and we got it, delicious oatmeal with add ons and good coffee. He also recommended places for us to have dinner in nearby Marshall, which turn out to be a nice little town with plenty of vegetarian and vegan options… great discovery for us!!! Impeccably clean bb, the only thing was that it was not clear from the website that we would not have a private bathroom. That was not the most comfortable thing, but we stayed one night only.

Roger was so pleasant and full of information about the area. Breakfast was very tasty and plenty. We wish we were spending more than one night. The property has so much to offer with all the little areas they've set up with only farm equipment and the creek running through it.

You’d have more fun staying home and watching paint dry. Middle of nowhere with nothing. I mean nothing to do. Go visit your least favorite relative. It will be about as enjoyable as this “farm”

We booked the elite suite with 2 queen beds for one night and were quite disappointed with our stay. It should be called queen beds basement bedroom as it is basically the home's basement. Therefore we could hear the floors squeaking every time someone was walking upstairs. In the morning cigarette smoke was coming down through the vents. Also no TV, no closet, no thermostat to control the room temperature. We definitely expected better accommodations for the price we paid. The surrounding property is cute and well maintained, although smaller than expected.

This property is on the outskirts of town and is beautiful. Simply done and very clean. I was pleased at the antiques in the home and the outside areas would be great, except it was raining when we were there. Comfortable common areas and great breakfast!

Charming house and beautiful grounds and surroundings. A lot of care and work has gone into making this an experience of all the best of the good old days -- antique quality and beauty with modern comfort and convenience. We only had a short time but can imagine a perfect relaxing and comforting getaway there. And our hosts really worked with us to accommodate our unusual schedule.

The owners were very informative of the local area. Room and the bed were extremely comfortable. I almost felt like I was visiting with a good friend who made sure I was well provided for while I stayed. Looking forward to going back again!

The owner was very friendly and helpful BUT our room was on the lower level and the bath was on the upper level. Also, it was a shared bath with 2 other rooms. No mention of that in the room description. Inconvenient and awkward, as we had to go through the area where others were eating in our nightclothes. The breakfast was disappointing--not freshly prepared as we usually experience at B & Bs.

My friend and I had a very comfortable and lovely stay at Ashe Farm. Roger was an exceedingly gracious and attentive host. He and his wife have created a serene and welcoming environment, having thought of and catered to every need that a traveler may have. From the well-appointed rooms and fresh-baked treats to the genuine conversation and delicious and generous breakfast, these generous hosts provided what we didn't even know we needed to make our short stay restorative and more than enjoyable.

It was a very unique experience. The effort put in to build and maintain a place like this was visible. The hosts were very friendly and went out of their way to provide stellar service. The only thing to improve is that while certain people might be into the whole antiques collection thing, not sure if everyone would appreciate them all over the place to the point that it starts overlapping with your normal space. Nonetheless, a great stay overall.

We really enjoyed our stay at Kash farm bed-and-breakfast. It was a girls weekend and we slept very comfortably in our two queen suite. We had a fantastic hospitality. The place was extraordinarily clean. The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was buffet like and Sue did a little bit for everybody. I definitely would stay there again and I highly recommend it.
