They had a rat infestation!! They were crawling through the tires of our cars that they charged $52 nightly to park in the hotel parking lot!!

The location is perfect for going to the beach: Venice Beach is 10 minutes away by foot. We ate breakfast at their restaurant and had a great experience. They offer several delicious options, and you can eat outside on their terrace which faces the marina.

Great hotel and location. The only problem I had was noise from some folks talking loudly in the restaurant patio until 1:30 am one night. I complained to the hotel staff, and they said that there is usually a security person there. I will go back, but ask for a room on the fourth floor, away from the maddening crowd.

I have stayed at Jamaica Bay at least six times over the last 10 years. Each time, I have been extremely pleased with the experience. So many things stand out...staff, location, safety, rooms and amenities. Every single member of the staff is helpful and friendly. The hotel is located right in front of the family-friendly Mother's Beach where families spend the whole day picnicking and playing in the water. For those looking for a more carnival atmosphere, Venice Beach is just a 10-15 minute walk. As a single traveler, I have always felt very safe at Jamaica Bay. The spacious rooms are always well stocked with amenities. My room included a mini frig. I got a microwave for a small daily fee. I did not try the on site restaurant this time. But, there are many restaurants, both quick serve and more formal, within easy walking distance. I definitely recommend Jamaica Bay and I will be staying there again.

The bartenders were all fantastic. The carpet in our room was torn and needs mending. Beware, the valet and overnight parking is $52.00 a night. Across the street is $6.00. Overall we had a nice stay and will go back.

Nice hotel on the bay of the marina.

A very good location- Marina Del Ray is a nice quiet area of LA to stay in- but also within walking distance of Venice Beach (about 20-30mins walk). The room was huge- and very nicely decorated. Room had good facilities in provided toiletries and also had a safe. A good smart TV also that includes all apps - which you need to sign into your own accounts for to use. Also has a vending machine for snacks - which is usual as there are not that many shops that close by. The hotel also has an attached restaurant- and the food was nice there. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Only small thing - the restaurant at the hotel has recently put its prices up- but had not yet updated the prices on their website. So be careful to ask exactly what the charges will be when ordering and upgrading items in meals to avoid surprises like I had - and do not rely on their website. That said, I enjoyed the food itself.

My family and I stayed at JBI for a week in early April. The staff at check-in were welcoming. The room was spacious (2 queen beds) and clean. There is a public beach on the marina next door with kayak rentals. It was an oasis. We would certainly return.

Love this hotel! Rooms are nicely appointed, attentive and friendly staff, great restaurant and bar but also walkable to other restaurants, bars snd activities. Can’t wait to go back and stay again.

The room we had didn't overlook the beach, but, it was large, well appointed & clean😀 The pool and hot tub were both clean & in full operation. The grounds are stunning and are right on Mothers beach. The restaurant/ bar was excellent with both having indoor or outdoor seating. All of the staff from check-in to the servers and valet are top notch. We are already planning our next trip in the fall, basically just so we can stay there, at the Jamaica Bay Inn.

The location right on the marina is fabulous. The outdoor restaurant serves excellent food with a view. The rooms are comfortable and the TV and WiFi worked well. The room AC is old fashioned units mounted in the outside wall. The LED display was broken so the unit came on and off all night.

Room is huge and beautiful with lovely big balcony. Staff are kind and attentive.

Nice to have a restaurant on the premises, was close to family event we were attending. Our room was on the "city" side and we could hear the traffic going by which at times was a little noisy.

We were here last year and booked again mostly due to the perfect location. The restaurant is under new management and unfortunately the service for breakfast was very slow. My understanding is that it is a different owner than the hotel.

The entire staff was fantastic. I'm definatley stayingh there again.

The hotel itself is clean with a very friendly staff. I paid for an upgrade of “partial beach view” and instead it was the parking lot of a restaurant next door with a tiny peek of the water. It was loud due to the restaurant’s morning deliveries. The street parking is on a questionably safe road. Rooms were lovely but the bathroom hot water faucet leaked and made a mess all over the counter & our items. Maybe some honesty about what a “view” really means as I would not have paid for the upgrade.

2) upon arrival, the front desk lady told us the pool was closed because “under renovation”. We didn’t see anybody working on the pool. It is most likely the pool had a problem and it was not disclosed to the guests before arrival.

Bathroom door didnt shut, cracks in the bathroom wall, and marina view was more of a view of the restaurant below. Hit up the vending machine on our floor to get a coke that expired in july of 2022. Really disappointed for the price, will never visit again. Literally any hotel in the area would have been better

Very rude staff at the check in! My husband arrived tot he hotel first, and they didn’t want to check him in despite he had all my information, including passport photo, reservation and payment confirmation, my email address etc. in addition, a the moment of booking, I sent a message to the hotel saying that I’ll be staying with my husband and this stay is our part of honey moon trip. The staff were very rude and unhelpful to him! It took them almost an hour before he was aloud to check in! Also they said, that if the reservation was made through them directly and not through the booking.com, they would have been more helpful! What a bad service! Rude staff, loud room

We enjoy the vibe of this hotel and nice location. The hotel is clean and the rooms are very comfortable. The beachside bar and restaurant is worth stopping by for drinks and appetizers or a light meal. There were some renovations happening this visit but it wasn’t disruptive.

Yes, they need to provide for tea drinker. There is only a coffee machine in the room.

Almost everything was fabulous. The pool and hot tub were not available, but hey, these things happen. The only thing that made the experience not five stars was the hidden FIFTY dollar parking fee... even for people paying to STAY at the hotel. Outrageous!

The staff was friendly and helpful. First night I got in there was no hot water. They had an issue with hot water heater,that and I’ve flown all day so I wasn’t able to take a shower and they said they would do something and I don’t think anything was done I wasn’t comped anything or that would’ve been pleasant.

We had partial beach view but in actuality we had a view of the dumpster and the killer shrimp parking lot. We could see the top of some sailboat masses…. We were woken up by the crashing sounds of trash removal

My stay was excellent. The hotel was able to let us check in quite a bit early and we enjoyed sitting by the pool that overlooks the bay!

Booked hotel for a girls trip with 2 rooms. Staff was helpful and polite something that seems hard to get these days! The restaurant was delicious, pool area was nice and relaxing !

Everything was good till receiving the final bill. I was charged $52 a day/night for self parking what they call (self valet) that was a total surprise to me when I was never told this would be a charge.

If you drive right past the hotel—there is a public parking lot right next door on the same side of the road that is from 6$ to 12$ for a 24 hour period. Definitely worth the very short hop over from the public parking lot to the hotel. We stayed two nights and paid 12$ to park!!

The beach view was amazing, especially enjoyed it while having brunch at the restaurant. Great staff, took good care of us. Beach is literally right out the door, you can walk it with ease. Very much enjoyed our stay, would definitely recommend.

The humid smell entering the room is very bad. Staff wasn’t very friendly and very small beach area.

They had to shut off water for three hours, mid-day, and the hot water never returned after that for the remainder of the day, into our morning of departure. We had to take a cold shower. The water also did not taste healthy after the outage. Our sleep was repeatedly interrupted in the early morning hours by screaming (likely unhoused) people outside the hotel, and one morning, at 6am, loud trucks making backup sounds were directly outside our room. The weight room had missing dumbbells. Not a good stay. And a ridiculous $50+ per day parking fee, and top of that.

I enjoyed my stay. The room was very clean. The restaurant staff were very attentive and friendly. Great location! Everything was within walking distance.

We dislike that the hotel is moving towards mandatory valet parking. Self-parking is one of the things we really like about the hotel. Please reconsider!

My room was on the first floor and at first I didn’t feel comfortable but it was indeed. Audrey was great at the bar and the food was very good. Liked the gym too- small but equipped.

Nice hotel - most staff were nice - one was rather rude, there's always a rotten apple somewhere lol - the parking was crazy - we had to wait for people to unload before we could go around and park - could have been a better way - parking is costly as well. The room was large and clean, we had a corner room and it was pretty quiet. Some traffic noise at certain times but not terrible. I'd stay there again. Close to my old stomping grounds, convenient to airport too.

Check-in was at 3pm we got there at 2:58pm and still had to wait till around 3:20pm for the room to be ready. But when we got into the room the toilet was broken and had to wait in the room for around 30 mins for it to be fixed. the bath tub was also clogged. There was no screen for the balcony door. So don't leave the door open unless you like bugs going into your room. The was no place to hang your clothes or towels in the bath room. The highlight was the onside Restaurant. The was really good both dinner and breakfast.

If you’re considering this property: I strongly recommend getting one of the units that faces the bay. The ones on the street side would be much less inspiring and a lot more approximate to lots of traffic noise. The restaurant is expensive and does not have a kids menu. For dinner time you need reservations or you will have to sit at the bar. The cheesecake factory is walking distance so that is a plus. The pool is regularly out of towels, so consider bringing bath towels if you go down to the pool. They provide good access to ask for support through a chat function, but this hotel seems to be understaffed so it takes one to two hours for them to execute your requests. If fast response service is a priority, maybe not this place.

I wish the room could have been offered as refundable. I feel i overpaid for the room vs what the cost was right when we got there

The hotel advertises they have 2swimming pools :-) But dimension of 1of them is 1x1m :-) 2nd pool very dirty and small with 6 metal sunbeds worser than in 1 star hotel by the motorway No reccomend for this proce You can find better options in this area

The noise level. The room we were given had not enough sound proofing and is silly to even have a ground floor balcony that faces a parking lot. Not a luxury room. But luxury pricing. This room should sell for about $249. And I’m being generous

Scam Alert ! Dont Stay here ! I paid for a Marina View room. Not a partial Marina view room. I was still given a Partial marina view room, and then lied to by the front desk. The front desk staff said they considered partial marina view rooms, marina view rooms. Even though I was not given a full marina view. Also, I was not given a credit towards my bill since I got ripped off. Then, there was no valve to open the bathroom sink drain. Therefore, anytime you washed your hands, or brushed your teeth the dirty water stayed in the sink. Leading to an unsanitary bathroom. LA County Heath department needs to audit this Lame Hilton hotel property for numerous health code violations. DON'T get ripped off at this property, and also put your health in serious jeapordy. West Nile virus inspects are bread in dirty stale water conditions as this hotel currently has in its hotel bathrooms.

Beautiful property super clean the lady at the front desk was rude to me saying I had to pay for valet parking then a parking attendant told me there was free parking before we left so I’m upset I paid an extra $250 with tips to park at the hotel and no mention of paying for parking when I booked the rooms

It was sort of a good location, but they tried to charge us for water that we didn’t drink, and it has taken forever for us to receive our deposit that we put down. It was nice that it was at the marina with a small beach to go to. I won’t be staying there again.

What an awful experience! Valet’s were of zero help when we drove up. Had to take everything up to our room ourselves. A very unwelcome check in from Christina at the front desk — very inhospitable and must really hate her job. All followed by a dingy room without the balcony and marina views I signed up for. So bad that I left and was willing to loose one night’s pay. Shame on you Hilton.

This time staff was curt and not friendly. Loud music from the restaurant until 9pm- not the most relaxing if you are here to chill out. Unfortunately we will opt to not return. Note- a smile, pleasant attitude when dealing with people or issues can go a long way. Isn’t that a requirement when working at the front of house in any business?!

At check out, the front desk charged to my room for the daily free water bottles and valet parking that I didn’t use the service. However the front desk credited back to my account immediately for the errors.

The room was well above average in size, very clean and comfortable! Location is Prime!! Easy to walk to lots of restaurants, shops, etc, with easy access to highways too. Thus facility will be my First Choice when coming back to the Marina del Rey area!

A year ago when we stayed at the Jamaica Bay Inn, the rooms clearly needed some redecorating and sprucing up. It has been done, and the improvement is terrific! Kudos! We'll be back!

My only complaint is a lack of towel holders in the bathroom. One ring for a hand towel, but no place to hang your bath towel or washcloth. Very modern bathroom but no explanation when I asked about this lack. Apparently many other people have also asked.

Dog friendly hotel which is key for us and dog fee of $50 is reasonable. Parking fees are too high. Breakfast was very good but too expensive. A lower cost option should be considered. Very clean and hypo allergic. Staff is friendly. Location on beach is extraordinary if you have kids because the neighbor traffic is pretty intense.

Spent the night after an event nearby. Check in was fabulous. Got an upgrade to a room with bay view. But, it was also over the restaurant so being out on the balcony wasn't so great and also the noise was helping in trying to sleep. Then check out person asked how I wanted my receipt (print or emailed); chose email, confirmed email address and set all set. Yet, I haven't received any email yet (9 hours has passed) . Will give until morning before a follow up call is to me made.

Very nice hotel, and a very beautiful room, comfortable bed. Everything was nice except the room had a gas fireplace. When we came back to our room after our event that evening, I tried to turn on the fireplace, but it wouldn’t work, I called down to the desk And the gentleman said he didn’t know how to turn them on, so I was not able to use the lovely fireplace in our room. I mentioned this to the desk when I checked out and they told me they would give me a credit on my bill however I have not seen that yet

Cool hotel at the tip of a little bay. Location is good. Rooms are comfortable. Room service is reasonable. Housekeeping closes at 10:00 pm so if you need blankets after 10:00 pm, no go. Would be nice if the suites were stocked with extra blankets, plastic utensils, and a microwave. Overall it’s a nice hotel and the restaurant is a plus. Great drinks and good food.

This property is nice but for what I paid for on an executive suite, I was disappointed that there was construction work being done with construction coverage that took up half of the hallway and fans running. The staff was very nice and helpful.

Staff was friendly, however inconsistent on the level of helpfulness. I was unable to reach the front desk from the room phone - it rang several times and cycled through auto-attendant the few times that I tried.

Spent one night and did not use any amenities other than the coffee maker and fridge in the room. I did see that the gym was tiny and pool was small. Restaurant food was good! What I disliked the most was the $32 parking fee when other parking spaces surrounding the hotel was free.

I wish the pool area were a bit larger, but the property and rooms are very nice.

The hotel is right on the beach which was nice, the water quality was low so it was recommended to not swim in it. There’s a children’s park on the beach nearby which is handy! The air con wasn’t that cold so would have been quite hot if the weather had been warmer but was ok. A lot of rooms had balconies but we didn’t which was a shame. The location was great if you have a car as there’s lots nearby. Overall, I wouldn’t stay here again with children as it’s not that child friendly but I would if it was just myself.

All good except the room next to us. We heard there door closing(loud) all night long. Disturbing.

Upon our arrival the front desk clerk acknowledged that there had been a mistake and our room had been given away but all she could come up with was give us the e-mail of one of the managers at 9:30pm?? Same managers, Paulyne Tran and Hee Sung Choi that I've been e-mailing for the last five days without getting any reply beside an "I'm out of the office" automatic one!! On top of that at around 12:30 AM a janitor started cleaning the outdoor restaurant area just downstairs from our room for close to half an hour with an incredibly loud leaf blower device, whose outrageously ear piercing noise made enjoying whatever we were doing impossible, absolutely unbelievable!! Worst hotel stay and worst customer service ever!!
