Reviews
The hotel generally receives positive reviews for its location, cleanliness, and breakfast. Many guests appreciate the friendly and helpful staff. However, some guests have issues with the comfort of the beds, noise levels, and additional charges for parking.

- Noise from neighboring rooms and outside

- the AC in the units is way too loud, we had to unplug ours during the night because every time it'd start it'd wake both me and my husband up, which made the room a bit too warm but since it was just one night stay it was ok. - our room was right above laundry so we could hear the washer spinning and feel the vibration. Luckily it only happened around 4.30-5 pm and did not bother us as we were getting ready to leave for the night and by the time we came back, it was all quiet. However, I could hear it next morning when we were about to check out - so, again, no problem for us, but it might potentially cause a problem for other travelers. But staff was super nice, property is very cute and bfast was decent, nothing extraordinary but they had omelets, english muffins, yogurts, cereal, so more than plenty. Overall, I would definitely stay again but may be in the cooler months and would ask for room either on 3rd floor or in other part of the building, Overall, 4.7 out 5

clean, spacious, and pleasant. Not by the beach or anything, but convenient location overall.
- 3/5
Not bad but reviews are blown out of the water. They keep a Marriott standard on bare minimum. Parking small by the hotel but more underground.

More options for breakfast.. there was a inconvenience with elevators not working.. we had to take the stair up and down post check out

I will never stay at a KBM resort due to, in my opinion, their unfair cancellation policies.

Rooms aren’t cleaned.

We were surprised to find out our stay included breakfast. Breakfast was pretty good too! The room was big, comfortable and very clean. The staff was helpful and friendly. Even though the hotel is located in a busy area, the hotel was quiet and we didn't hear any outside noise during our sleep. There is a lovely outdoor area to hang out in, which is always quiet, clean and comfortable.

Clean room. Friendly staff. Decent breakfast. Tons Parking lot was tight but still movable.

Friendly staff, nice cozy property with a lovely courtyard. Breakfast was decent, the usual kind of things such as eggs, cereal, English muffins, and coffee. Downside is that it’s next to a busy road.

- 4/5
The twin room beds were so comfortable. Good location, manhattan beach has great restaurants. If you’re thinking of using the sofa bed as a bed don’t. It is so uncomfortable. Book a twin. Thought as a guest parking would be free. It’s not.

Staff was friendly, pretty good location.
- 3/5
Clean and staff was excellent, but Hotel is outdated. Not what I was expecting for a Marriott
- 2/5
Expensive, you have to pay for the parking, when their parking is empty, the breakfast was terrible. Not recommend this hotel.
- 3/5
We stayed here when it was Best Western its now a Marriot and the breakfast seems to be ok for one day but was the same everyday for the nine days we were there the toaster did not work and the coffee was mideocare
- 5/5
The hotel is excellent for its price. It’s clean and located in a nice area. I especially loved the free coffee point at the reception — a very приятный бонус. The breakfast was quite good as well.

Loved the hotel employees were very friendly. I wasn’t a fan of the breakfast choices but besides that everything else was great

This was a horrible stay. In our first room the motor broken on the air conditioner so they moved us to another room. We left to go get something to eat and came back and that air conditioner wasn't working so they called maintenance in at 10 o'clock at night still could not get the air working we sweat all night long. Tried to take a shower. The shower door would not close. We had to use towels to profit closed. My daughter seat was sticking to the floor walking throughout the hotel room to put on socks in the bottom of the socks turned to black.
- 4/5
Great location. Clean room
- 5/5
I would’ve recommended this hotel just based on the tangible features available at this price range - continental breakfast, fitness center, underground parking. Great value for the price. But what sold me on this hotel was the staff and their reaction to a major problem we had. We awoke at 4:00 am to catch a plane home. In our hurry to leave, my wife’s beautiful diamond earrings fell down the sink drain. Tequila, the night clerk, took control, retrieved earrings with the help of the maintenance staff and gave them to our daughter while we we airborne. We are eternally grateful.

Close to the beach and dining. Safe neighborhood.

Room was spacious, nice views, and friendly staff. They had a water station in the lobby so I could fill up my water bottle and use their ice machine 24/7. The only bad thing was their free breakfast. Only 3 cereal flavors, bread with jam, yogurt, and juices. So much for free breakfast. Other than that, would recommend.
- 5/5
Stafff was more than accommodating. We were 30mins early of check in but our room was ready and therefore able to check in early. All of the staff were very friendly. The breakfast could have used some bacon or ham but other than that it was great. The coffee/espresso machine was a life savor. Very good espresso! All in all I would stay here again.

The room layout. The activities of the neighboring guests could be heard in room. This includes, opening and closing bathroom doors, toilet flushing, etc.
- 4/5
I was disappointed in the breakfast, however. I was looking forward to cooked oatmeal or pancakes. There also could’ve been. More offerings for toast and fruit.
- 5/5
Parking has to be paid for separately.
- 1/5
Breakfast was dry eggs, no options, horrible. Could not eat it. Room had damp carpets, run down old, shower was broken down and not well kept, sheets for pull out bed were dirty and hair all over it,
- 5/5
Ease of parking and accessibility to everything a traveler needs. Loved the outdoor area - just walk out my room and I was in the California sunshine. A cool mix of indoor and outdoor space. Not applicable.
- 5/5
Clean safe hotel and affordable!!
- 5/5
The room was spotless, staff is friendly we had an excellent stay
- 5/5
Staff very courteous and helpful. Excellent location to Manhattan Beach and Hermosa Beach.
- 5/5
Desk staff were amazing. We so appreciated their helpfulness.
- 5/5
Very clean, spacious rooms. And super nice staff and pretty good complimentary breakfast. Really great value!
- 4/5
- the outdoor seating area was nice for the evenings, although they need to replace one of the fire pits - the rooms were adequate, although the bathroom and sink area lacked space - Sergio was great, he helped me out when I had an issue with my booking and was friendly every time he was on the desk. - Cleaning every 4 days is not adequate even for the price - the location is excellent, walking distance to Target and other small shops. - despite being next to the main road, our room was quiet
- 5/5
Great value. Will stay there again.
- 4/5
get better breakfast
- 4/5
Very nice clean room, soft beds. Broken mini-fridge. The worst breakfast... muffins full of mold! Eggs like rubber disks and a broken toaster. So bad. However they had a really great coffee and hot chocolate bar and a nice firepit in the courtyard.
- 4.5/5
Very good
- 3/5
Very noisy being right on Sepulveda Blvd. Breakfast options were lacking, oat milk would be appreciated! Room was very basic.
- 5/5
Had a great stay, friendly staff, very clean and quiet!
- 3/5
The hotel had not received my reservation through Hotels.com so check in took over 20 minutes to sort things out.
- 5/5
Very clean and updated. Friendly staff. Liked the extra room!
- 1/5
I have never had a problem once with Expedia and today. The hotel worker when I was checking in did not let me check in or he said he did not see the reservation. His name is Jeryl. He was blaming Expedia for not sending over the reservation to him. He had to charge me for a different room at a different rate than what I received from Expedia. Very strange because he let me book another room but I never gave him any identification nor did he have my information nor did I sign any paperwork. This makes this transaction very suspicious to me. When I asked for a receipt he said he had nothing for me. I really hope I don't get charged for two rooms. After driving for 5 hours then coming here to deal with this pain is very exhausting. Next time I'll be staying somewhere else and hopefully I can receive a full refund for my transaction and this ordeal
- 4/5
Adequate little apartment for exploring LA. Close to Manhattan Beach with supermarkets and paharmacys near by
- 3/5
$25 to park? Awful breakfast. Shady part of town.
- 3.5/5
The breakfast was not what it should have been - stale muffins in plastic, limited food choices and condiments....it seems they were in the process of transitioning from one corporate affiliation to another and they haven't yet worked out the kinks.
- 4/5
Breakfast and location and parking
- 4.5/5
The A/C was a bit loud.
- 5/5
Really clean
- 4/5
The establishment was under construction so it was noisy, it was a hassle at time to enter the very small parking lot because of the work being done. Wished they had notified us about the construction going on.
- 4.5/5
The breakfast included over a dozen selections including eight rotating hot items. It was very well stocked and the room and courtyard were all very pleasant. The surrounding area is fairly bare and heavy with traffic. There isn't much to walk to and a lack of public transportation options to reach anywhere.
- 5/5
Great location
- 4/5
On going construction. Very noisy drilling?
- 3/5
The improvements to the property are nice, the offered breakfast and coffee bar were great. Room was set up oddly with bathroom sink on outside of bathroom. Staff at front desk could be a little nicer.
- 5/5
My suite was specious and clean, well arranged and maintained. I moved to the hotel right after checking into another hotel in El Segundo that was terrible so this one was a welcome reprieve and change and I was able to book literally a day in advance.
- 5/5
This is our second year staying here. We were looking forward to our return because we knew how comfortable this place was. We were happy second time around too! Elevator takes too long and the stairs were out of service. Also, getting out of the parking lot was a little hard due to the business next door.
- 5/5
Clean and nice location No complaints
- 3/5
construction caused the front doors to not open without someone sitting there at all times to open it from inside. Elevators were down due to construction. Sidewalk outside is basically inaccessible due to construction. Loud.
- 3/5
The hotel was under construction and not disclosed at booking! Not cool.
- 5/5
Great hotel
- 5/5
The outside is under construction so you might pass the hotel since the tiny sign comes up pretty quick the entrance is with 3 ft of the sign and the traffic light. Other than that, the hotel was very clean, water pressure very strong, you feel very safe and secure. The hotel is literally walking distance from everything you need including from the beach.
- 4/5
Quiet, comfortable, easy to park.
- 4/5
Safe and quiet
- 2.5/5
The staff was great. The breakfast was in crazily good. The location was fine. property is under construction as they are redoing the outside of the building. That was never mentioned when I was doing the booking. I would rate the bed is just fair. Really not very comfortable. The other problem is it’s an atrium set up and there’s lights right outside the room. The room has windows facing out. The lights in the hallway shine directly into the room. The other thing I did not appreciate was a parking charge which I refuse to pay since it was not included or mentioned on the booking.com site.
- 4.5/5
I think the hotel should mention they are under construction. My room was to the outside construction.
- 5/5
Great place to stay with family. Breakfast has lots of options.
- 5/5
Stay was comfortable. The room was spacious and the breakfast included with the stay was pretty good.
- 1/5
See review of the same hotel for the separate night's stay one day apart
- 1/5
The clerk told us that Expedia expressly does not put this kind of information about the hotel's current renovation status on its website. This is a terrible situation.
- 5/5
Peaceful and quiet stay. Love the free breakfest highly recommended to friends and families
- 5/5
The staff has been great throughout our visit. Check in was easy. The outdoor patio in the middle of the hotel is really nice. We walked to the Manhattan Beach Pier from the hotel. It was about a 30 minute walk and I felt comfortable with my 7, 12, and 18 year old sons walking the route. There’s a nice shopping and dining district at the beach. We ate at The Kettle, which was excellent and we could see the ocean from our outdoor table.
- 4/5
The property was nice and well maintained. My room was spacious and cleaned everyday by the staff. The surrounding area had plenty of dining options for any budget. If you stay here I don’t think you’ll find many things to complain about.
- 3/5
Property was under construction and it was not disclosed when booking
- 2/5
This property had the most uncomfortable beds I've ever felt. There was one incredibly rude staff (the rest were amazing) and it was fully under construction for the entirety of the visit. Without warning. Would never come back.
- 4/5
The room was decent and while it had a kitchen with cabinets there was nothing in those cabinets so be sure to bring your own dishes and cutlery. The fitness center was good. The hotel was undergoing exterior renovations during my stay (April 2025)
- 5/5
Very friendly staff and great location
- 5/5
Economical and provides everything we need for the weekend trip
- 5/5
Although ubder construction, the facility was fine. Good experience overall.
- 3/5
Service wasn't that good replace was under construction had to wait to get the Check-in the room due to somebody was locked out of their room
- 5/5
I stayed here with my son for a tournament and we had a smooth check in and check out. The staff was super nice and accommodating. We were a minute late to breakfast and the staff accommodated my son to quickly get some breakfast. I will stay here again.
- 5/5
The breakfast
- 4/5
Room was clean and spacious and area was quiet, recommend especially for family with little kids
- 5/5
All good
- 5/5
Very enjoyable
- 3/5
Also, some food and water were left in the fridge from the last guests, and there was something on the rug by my bed, which looked like vomit or doggie dodo. It looked gross but it turned out to be some kind of plant debris that had not been cleaned up before we arrived. The rest of the property looked decent and the breakfast buffet was excellent, but from my experience I would be hard pressed to stay at this property again, especially because I booked it as a meet up with other family members I haven’t seen for over a year.
- 5/5
Weve always loved this hotel
- 3/5
Property is undergoing construction which is inconvenient. Rooms and hotel are updated but still feels dated (superficial updates)
- 4/5
Fine enough, air conditioning too noise. Walking about the bedroom during bad weather is definitely not pleasant. Reception guy Eric was super friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
2- The coffee maker did not work. The pod was installed and poked properly but it only poured out water, not coffee. 3- There was no pad or pen in the room. 4- Other then that the room was perfect and they had a great breakfast. Would stay again but would check out those things first.
- 3/5
Worst bed I've ever slept on. Clearly an older mattress, lumpy and well worn. Hmm . I was surprised the mattress was so horrible. Other than that , if they replace the mattress with a proper 'hotel grade' mattress I would consider that hotel again.
- 3/5
Good value for the
- 2/5
The air conditioning did not work so my son and I froze through the night, they offered a new room but way across the property.
- 4/5
Decent price, good breakfast, great area.
- 5/5
It’s under a 30 minute walk to manhattan beach pier and a short ride to many places
- 3/5
I trusted Yelp when choosing an overnight stay here. It had received very positive reviews, but I did not have the same experience. First, mattresses definitely needed replacing. I felt I was sinking, but only in the center, so all night I was in a “jack-knife” position. Then I wanted to take a nice hot bath, but the drain stopper didn’t work. Toilet was also leaking so every 15 min or so it would fill up and turn off again.
- 2/5
While trying to fall asleep, we heard the people in the room next to us having a “good time”. I didn’t complain to the staff about the room or our neighbors because honestly, what could they have done about it? I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
- 5/5
k
- 3/5
They had many rooms available but the room I was given was on the very busy street side of the hotel !!! Heavy traffic noise
- 5/5
Hotel was great, room clean and fresh, good amenities. Staff friendly. Tiny complaint was housekeepers talking loudly next door cleaning room while we had been sleeping. Breakfast was amazing. So many choices! Love the hotel.
- 4/5
Great location for weekend in the area
- 2/5
Air conditioner so loud you couldn’t use and sleep. Mis-communication between hotels.com and this hotel, cost me additional money, stress I will not utilize this facility again. In addition to the air conditioner noise, our room was on the street side and the noise from the street made it impossible to sleep.
- 5/5
Manhattan Beach is not too far away and it's a beautiful spot. BW is clean and has a great variety for breakfast
- 5/5
Cleanliness
- 3/5
First time staying here, we picked this hotel based off of other reviews. First time for everything. The check in was mediocre nothing special, the studio suite looked better online the room definitely needs more space, the tv set up makes no sense, the sink and shower completely separate which is dumb. The beds were comfortable, the room had a very weird smell that never left, the outlets for the charges did not work. The breakfast was appreciated but could of been much better. Parking and entrance of the hotel doesn't make sense
- 5/5
This was one of the best hotels I ever stayed at being away from home. It felt like I was at home. The shower was amazing. It was super quiet. Breakfast was the best kid friendly endless options for breakfast. Great place to stay. Highly recommend
- 5/5
Really comfy, homely hotel with friendly staff, well equipped rooms and a buffet breakfast menu almost bigger than LA itself to get you powered up for the day. Courtyard with relaxing couches and lounges and conveniently close to LAX.
- 5/5
Great location with nearby shopping and restaurants. Our "go to" whenever in the Manhattan Beach area.
- 4/5
Convenient location and big rooms.
- 4/5
A simple hotel, clean, convenient with a mini kitchenette. We stayed for 3 nights on our way back from Australia. We had jet lag so we slept a lot on and off. The beds were so comfortable and the staff were really kind and friendly. Especially Eric who checked us in and out. We went for walks down to the Manhattan beach and beach community. Enjoyed nice restaurants and shopping. I recommend this hotel for a short stay.
- 5/5
Love the room design and proximity to Manhattan Beach. Very nice breakfast each morning!
- 3/5
Clean but basic. Sofa bed not comfortable.
- 5/5
Amazing service and staff. We had an excellent time at this hotel. The manager, Sergio, went above and beyond to make sure we had a great at the hotel. He was very accommodating with a request we had. We would definitely stay there again.
- 4/5
Great location.. decent breakfast.. great selection of TV Channels.. Paramount was a bonus
- 5/5
Easy to get to different places and not too far from the airport.
- 5/5
Good value. Clean, helpful staff.
- 3/5
They didn't empty the over flowing garbage in the garage until the meeting
- 4/5
Great room, great breakfast and staff. Wish there was a bigger window to see the outside but otherwise a nice hotel. We walked to Manhattan Beach in about 25 minutes, a beautiful place to check out! Walgreens and Target were 5-7 minute walk away. Happy with our choice!
- 4/5
They were very nice at the property. Very convenient to a lot of activities. A shuttle to and from some popular stops like the pier and airport would be wonderful.
- 5/5
The Best Western Manhattan Beach is clean, updated, safe. Easy location for the beach and getting to the airport and Sofi Stadium. Staff super friendly and accommodating. Would stay here again.
- 5/5
Nice place, will have to pay for parking $20.00 per night
- 5/5
The hotel is clean and organized. The rooms are perfect for vacation or business trips. Our family enjoyed the breakfast and beautiful outdoor seating. Coffee all day was a definite perk. We would definitely stay here again!
- 5/5
Hotel is great, clean, nice and comfy. Rooms are very well equiped. Love the Starbucks machine they have at the lobby.
- 4/5
Only complaint was the noise from cars and Harley’s roaring by all night as my room overlooked Sepulveda Blvd. impossible to sleep.
- 3/5
Good location
- 5/5
Very clean safe
- 5/5
The staff help me fight the laundry equipment. It almost had me but Yessie saved the day. The manager helped arrange a rate due to my long term project in the city.

- 3/5
could use a renovation but good for the price we paid
- 5/5
Nice hotel that offers a complimentary breakfast. Beds were super comfy & room was spacious. Conveniently located near shopping, restaurants & a few miles from the beach.
- 4/5
Great staff & clean room. Our room served its purpose however we didn’t get much sleep during our one night stay due to room 201’s location next to the elevator. Guest traffic, rolling luggage wheels, & drunken arguments were a nuisance. $200 security deposit for potential damage I felt was way too much, who trashes rooms still? $20 parking fee was reasonable. Location was close to many amazing restaurants and bars.
- 4/5
The girls at the front desk were really nice ! The breakfast was decent my kids loved it, they offer eggs , sausage , waffle , juices , pastries ,yougurts , creak ! Located right by a mall with restaurants and about a mile away from the beach .
- 5/5
Room was spacious
- 5/5
Staff and hotel was great. Lots of parking!
- 5/5
I was very impressed with the breakfast that waa offered. I waa pleased with the location
- 5/5
Staff was friendly. Breakfast was good. Room (on side away from primary street) was very comfortable and quiet.
- 5/5
They’re nice cute little property, great location, friendly staff
- 5/5
The call bell at the main entrance does not work and employee is literally right there and won’t bother to care at night
- 5/5
Booked this place after our cruise and it did NOT disappoint. Place was very well renovated and super clean. Breakfast was excellent. Laundry area was perfect had to do a load of laundry. Would definitely book again.
- 4/5
Pretty noisy at times, esp through walls w neighbors.
- 4/5
Basic inexpensive hotel great for a couple of nights. My husband and I were very comfortable easy area to get around and close to a lot of things.
- 1/5
I didn't like this Hotel! My room had a nasty smell! The room layout was strange. You had to sit on the bed to watch 📺. The reviews were good but I'm wondering should I trust Hotel. Com any more. Huge disappointment!!! Not worth the price!!!!!!
- 5/5
The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable . Had to pay for parking even tho we were guest of the hotel.
- 5/5
This property was in a super safe area of LA and as a solo traveller, I felt very comfortable walking to the beach without a car. The staff was especially warm and helpful when I had questions. Would definitely return next time I’m in LA!
- 5/5
The personal were very nice.

We had a room facing Sepulveda and could hear the cars all night! Ask for a room facing the backside.
