Uneventful.

WE FOUND TWO SMALL SCREWS ON THE CARPET ( probably from the furniture assembly (renovation ?) workers. Luckily, found them without stepping on them with bare feet. Bathroom door (1)didn’t close properly because door frame had too much paint on it; (2) wouldn’t open fully as it contacted the new(?) floor tile ; and the frame was missing a frame silencer. The Expedia reservation stated that we’d have a couch in the room, but we did not. A single chair with a foot stool and a desk chair were provided.
- 3/5
Check in was a breeze, very friendly person at the counter. The room was average, paint peeling from ceiling of restroom, limited towels i. Room for 4 people. I traveled with a kid hoping to use the pool and when i made the reservation there was no information on repairs, pool was closed very disappointed. Breakfast was good for the extra price, but no one at the counter to order, had to knock on a side door for the person to come to take our order, other people had to do the same. Been to other courtyards and definitely seen better.

Staff are incredible. The property is slightly outdated, however, they are in the process of renovating. Unfortunately, there are still property issues. For example, my shower door leaked, the sink drained slowly, the door was not a security door (having to close it behind me each time), and the HDMI cord for the TV was bent making the tv unusable. Breakfast is $11/day but you have to order it which means it’s not convenient to just grab and go. The pool had bubble skim floating which seemed suspicious.. One of the biggest pros to the property is the proximity to Bull Run. For the price, it just didn’t hold up..
- 5/5
The only problem we had was they wre blacktopping the area at the main entrance, so we had to park and walk some distance to check in. But after that, we could use the side doors. All in all, an excellent experience and we would stay there again should the need arise! Steve B

They closed the bar and lobby and did not disclose until I arrived and the entire hotel was booked by a highscool. I had to cancel my room and find another hotel last minute.

I would not recommend this hotel. The staff was unfriendly. The ice makers broken on every floor. There were ants in my room. The keys were hit or miss in opening doors. Doors on property that were supposed to be opened with a key from outside were always unlocked. The restaurant hours were too short. The bar area dud not have a liquor license - we were advised to go down the street to holiday inn which is a sister property.

Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Best of all, it’s within walking distance to a Cracker Barrel restaurant. We enjoyed our 2 day stay. Had a glitch at check in . They couldn’t locate my reservation at first, which was no fault of the staff. It was the way Booking had entered my name.

Didn’t clean room everyday, and for some reason, on one of the days they charged me for the morning complimentary coffee, and when I asked why, the employee said sorry and handed me the ticket to write my name and room number on. Won’t be staying there again.

booked a King w/ sleeper sofa. First room we walked in only had a King. Fair enough, they sent us to another room which had both. At 10pm when we attempted to open the sofa it would not. The left side was jammed. we asked for help from front desk....but at 10pm the answer was to move to another room ...a 3rd for that day. After getting in the room and making sure the sofa pulled out we settled in and got the kids down only to find ants crawling all over the desk. We just killed as many as we could and dealt with it. Coundn't take moving to a 4th room. Never again
- 5/5
The room was great besides my TV not working but I would stay again.
- 4/5
Room was clean. Staff was helpful.
- 0.5/5
Pool was not heated as advertised.
- 4/5
Recent renovation of rooms created a few annoying issues. No fan in bathroom. The electrical receptors on desk and nightstand were too close together and you could only plug in one phone charger. The TV remote was unreliable and maddeningly slow.
- 5/5
Staff was great and very welcoming
- 5/5
Nice property in very convenient location next to highway, good shopping and restaurants. Very nice staff. Quiet, nice room.
- 5/5

Love this place! Clean, quiet and lovely environment. The staff were lovely
- 4/5
Room was very quiet. Property is well situated in an area with shopping, restaurants and easy access to interstate and freeways. Some upgrades have occurred but it needs some TLC. Staff were very nice!
- 4/5
Central location to main arteries in and around town yet positioned so that it is exceptionally quiet. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Property itself is in good condition with a few upgrades where it matters.
- 2/5
Checked in to a room that was not cleaned. Second room tv and phone didn’t work. Third room was OK. Very frustrating, not a pleasant experience.
- 5/5
Wry comfortable room.
- 4/5
Very good
- 5/5
The card access didn’t work for the exterior entrance and for the room. Had to get the manager to replace them.
- 1/5
My husband and I were told that we had to pay incidental fees of $200.00. This was more excessive than most places that we have stayed at, but okay, whatever. We were told that it would be deposited back onto our card when we checked out. No problem. However, not only have we not received out $200.00, in addition they took another $100.00 charged to our card for what seems to be for no apparent reason. We had reserved a King size bed with a pullout sofa bed through Expedia for $337.12 for two nights. So far, this room has cost us $600.12. They have not returned those incidental fees. We have never had this happen to us. We travel throughout the Hockey season because our granddaughter plays ice hockey. Everywhere else that we have stayed, the incidental fees are returned within two days and most of the time within a couple of hours after we have checked out. I have called the hotel many times, only to find the general manager is very uncaring and rude. They have thieves on their staff and do not care. We will never stay at courtyard again if this is how they do business. Beware and watch your charges at this hotel!
- 5/5
Very clean. Staff was courteous and helpful
- 3/5
Had flies I. The room. Just one trash can too. Disappointing g.
- 5/5
Very nice comfy bed and really nice bathroom

If I had known that the pool was closed, I won’t pick this hotel.

The breakfast and look of the hotel are the setbacks. Upon arrival, I thought I was at the wrong place since it looks like an apartment complex and there isn’t a sign above the door. The breakfast is a grab and go brown bag (which I don’t remember reading). There was a banana muffin (I’m allergic to bananas), an unlabeled bar of some kind (no label means I couldn’t read the ingredients to see if it contained one of my other allergens), and juice. You can also get a frozen sausage and egg biscuit (there’s a microwave to heat it in) dry cereal (I assume you’ll have to purchase your own milk since none was provided) or yogurt. I’d say it’s better to just not serve breakfast than the options provided. It’s clean and comfortable so it wasn’t a terrible stay aside from my injury the apartment look, and breakfast options.
- 5/5
Exceptional
- 2/5
We were way over charged for this property. We were not informed prior to booking that it was under construction and the facilities were not worth the price. The hotel room was beat up. The staff was great but Expedia well over charged us for this room.
- 3/5
Our stay was good. The breakfast was to-go bags with quick breakfast items and you can heat up frozen sandwiches and take coffee to go. The room was clean. We had a king suite. It didnt have a table to eat at with my husband but its ok because we were in the room a lot. The fridge is tiny and there is no in room microwave. They gave us a renovated room with a nice sized standup shower.
- 4/5
Our instructions to get around the construction to our room weren’t very good. Walked around the entire hotel, through the courtyard, and finally through the construction area to find the correct elevator. Signage would be helpful. The 2 guys working over night were fantastic and very friendly! Having snacks available for purchase at the front desk was clutch.
- 3/5
Nice room but had to drag a floppy cart with luggage through a construction area just felt very strange but the young man who helped us was extremely nice and kind.
- 3/5
The hotel was under significant renovations. They did provide complimentary breakfast items . But lobby and bistro were not available. Beds were comfortable but not the pillows which were uniformly flat.
- 2/5
When I checked in, and was assured that the room I was staying in was completely updated I was relieved. However, after hauling my luggage over the thick carpeted floors that seemed to eat the wheels on my bag, my room door wouldn’t open. Not by fault of the room key mind you, but that the door was stuck because the paint had sealed it shut, and body weight wouldn’t even budge it. After letting the person at the temporary desk know, I was switched to a room on a different floor. Dragging my luggage yet again on carpet that seemed to have a vendetta on anything getting past it. There was a light switch in the room that did nothing, fingerprints all over the counters, the parking lot light that flickered directly into the bedroom, and a stinky mini fridge. Ice machine on that floor was shut down, pool room was left a mess with towels everywhere and empty cups. I went to go ask for a couple of waters, and to my surprise when I got the bill…I was charged $7 for two bottles of Aquafina. I honestly thought with all of the trouble I went through at 10:30pm, at least water would be covered since there was none in the room, and there is not even an ice machine or complementary water any where. I asked for a late checkout since I had been up for 24hrs because of travel, but really not needed since I got a complimentary wake up call by a vacuum cleaner at 11am right outside my door. Should have slept at the airport.
- 5/5
I like how clean the rooms are and had a very nice view off the balcony. Every time I book rooms. I only book at courtyard Marriott. My favorite
- 5/5
it was great the room was nice and clean they were remodeling during my stay so i dont have much to say in regards to the loby and and initial feel of walking in. but staff was nice and professional. i did take a trip to the indoor pool during my stay im not sure if they are going to remodel that area as well but it felt really outdated and the walls of the pool itself was pretty dirty and disgusting looking there was grime caked along the top of the pools walls at the water line. the pool also felt very small and the area itself was underwhelming. the courtyard area was nice. if you are on the bottom floor there isnt any patio space like the upper levels balconies, its just mulch which i feel like would just bring mulch into the rooms if you go out. currently where they are doing remodeling the parking is kind of horrible we had to park far from the entrance closest to our room. but other than that this place was great i hope the things i mentioned are better after the remodel but either way i will most likely return if i travel that way again
- 1/5
It was basically closed and had no amenities. It was a fraud, claiming the rooms were one thing and then checking in at a card table at the back door near the dumpsters. The front lobby was closed and all the lights were out. We had a 4 day stay planned but ended up moving our the next day. Shame on Marriott for pretending this location was viable. We did not take pictures.
- 5/5
Good
- 4/5
Under construction but staff EXCELLENT
- 1/5
The hotel is currently undergoing renovations. We could not find the front desk for 10 minutes, the rooms are not well kept.
- 5/5
Found that not an issue with my stay Room was clean and comfortable Great nighttime staff Jayden was great in helping me understand the locking mechanism Kristi Banks was great with multitasking during a fire alam drill Mamoon was extremely friendly Management should not let them find another hotel chain to work for Id definitely return if the same staff stays on board Great experience overall
- 2/5
We were disappointed with the stay; it made the short vacation uncomfortable. Upon first arriving we were given key cards to a room that had been occupied and was not clean yet; the front desk clerk said there was an error in the system sometimes and they are unable to see the rooms that are ready to be assigned to the people that are checking in and instead given the rooms that are already in use. The next room we were given had a broken sliding door and a pipe was left on the window sill. Aside from that, the cards stopped working several times and we were only on the property for a day and a half. The cards gave us lots of problems entering the hotel room and in the first full day the card did not allow us to enter the building through the side. We had to get replacement cards. The room itself was not very clean either.
- 2/5
We arrived and nobody was available to check us in. We waited at least 10 minutes for the one person working made it back to the desk to check in several of us who were waiting. We stayed two nights and our room was not cleaned during our stay. Had to go ask for clean towels and take our own trash out. Overall the room was clean and beds were decent but lack of service was the main takeaway.
- 1/5
So my husband reserved me a suite just for an overnight away from home to get some much needed rest without kids. The hotel itself is tucked away, so no real traffic noise. When you enter the lobby it appears well taken care of and clean. The customer service was good. The man at the front desk was friendly and helpful when my key initially didn’t work. Then I got to my room. It was definitely nothing to write home about. At one time I’m sure it was a decent room. Now the rooms wallpaper is peeling, the furniture tattered, and the bathroom needs some TLC… cracked shower tile, some mold stained caulk, the ceiling paint is bubbling and has the starts of mold. Still I overlooked it because it was clean and I was exhausted. Then I went to take a hot shower before watching some tv in bed. The water was just warm, in no way was it getting slightly hot. So after a shower that left me shivering when I was done, I went to turn on the tv and lay down… and the tv would only turn on and immediately turn off. I tried about 5 or 6 times with zero luck. At this point I was ready to cry, but figured I just lay in bed and watch my iPad…. But the constant noise from the hall was drowning that out. I’d officially had enough of this crud show that should have been relaxing. I went ahead and packed my stuff up because I was ready to just go home…. At least I knew what I was getting by there. The front desk guy offered to move me to another room when I told him I was leaving, but I was honestly to
- 4/5
Beautiful lobby area; Starbucks available; friendly staff; had no housekeeping service.
- 5/5
The side doors were not working properly with room keys but that happens at all properties occasionally. Not a big deal.
- 2/5
Toilet didn't work well. Overflowed
- 1/5
Old dingy place , like putting lipstick on a pig. The pool was closed ! They never informed prior to or after booking that the pool was closed. The rooms need to be updated and cleaned . They had limited staff members and housekeeping was not up to par.
- 2/5
Bathroom wall paint was chiped in a few places, empty hardware on the same wall should have been removed or new hardware hung,no lotion in the bathroom, carpet needs to be replaced and front desk clerk struggled. Overall the hotel was in poor condition. I would not recommend it.
- 1/5
The customer service is awful. I can't get ahold of anyone at a bad experience.
- 1/5
Multiple doors not working to get in, the door to our room would not open. We had to lift the door to open it. When we left the door would not close because the lock was broken. Hotel is very dated. The hotel charged me for my stay even though I had already paid. Overall not a pleasant stay.
- 3/5
Waiting to order and did not get the food order correct
- 4/5
Carpet was dirty worn and the room smelled musty. The staff were amazing/nice and accommodating!!
- 1/5
Room was not cleaned, no body wash, only 2 towels for 2 people, 2 day stay. Asked for extra toilet tissue and did not get it.
- 4/5
All of the employees we encountered were very friendly and helpful. The pool was closed which was disappointing and I do wish that someone would have communicated that to us earlier. Regardless, the room was clean and comfortable.
- 4/5
Front desk checked us in and gave us our room number and keys. Opened the door to the room and it wasn't cleaned. Still dirty from the previous guests. Back to the front desk and got another room. Quick and helpful hotel staff with the issue. Front desk said the were proving a credit to our room for their mistake. Still haven't seen this credit.
- 3/5
Bathroom needs updating. Remove bath tub and add additional handrails in shower and near toilet. Carpet needs updating. Basically, the hotel was nice but needs a complete refresh.
- 5/5
Overall pretty decent but definitely an older hotel in need of updating. The pictures also definitely do not accurately show the rooms at all.
- 4/5
It was clean and quiet area. Staff was very helpful
- 3/5
Didn’t even give me the room I booked. I booked a king room and they gave me two queens.
- 5/5
Rooms are cleaned and quite area
- 5/5
It's very quite area and there's a restaurant next door.
- 4/5
Our AC wasnt working in the first room so we go switched to another room right next door at 9:30pm. Room was great after the switch.
- 4/5
Overall good. The pool was under maintenance which we weren’t told about until we wanted to use it on our second day.
- 3/5
The room was extremely cold, there were no way to control the AC . I will not go there again.
- 4/5
People working front desk were awesome. Just the hotel was out dated for the name and price. They really need to do some upgrades.
- 3/5
I was disappointed, 100 degree weather and pool was closed , no fan exhaust fan in bathroom causing mold on ceiling toilet didn’t flush well . When you pay over $200 for a room you should get a better room than hotel 8
- 2/5
On the outside and the lobby looks very good. I had a problem with the condition of the bathrooms. Tiles in the shower looked mismatched and almost like they were going to fall over
- 5/5
Friendly staff, excellent response time when we had a water issue building needs updated but hear its in the near future
- 3/5
The rooms were ok. Def needed to be updated- there was peeling walls and water damage in the bathroom. Our room had a weird smell. The lobby and cafe were updated and clean- wish it carried over to the rooms for the price that was listed. I am a member and paid for in points.
- 5/5
Very quiet stay!
- 4/5
I didn't like that they didn't have usb ports to charge my phone
- 5/5
Pretty good place; not new and shows some signs of wear. But the big gripe - the only one and it is trivial - is that the handle on the entry door has to be turned UP to get entry, and nobody told us that. So after trudging and dragging suitcases all the way to the room, and making repeated tries to gain entry, I ended up leaving my Wife in the hall with all our stuff while I went back to the desk to learn to turn it UP. I've stayed in at least 100 hotels in my 76 years and never had an entry knob or lever that turned up. They really should tell one that at checkin.
- 3/5
Stayed in a king room with couch. Mattress was very unstable and sank to middle. The couch did the same. The hotel overall had appeared to want to appear to have updated; however the carpeting, all over, was musty and stained, the seating area in dining was very worn. It just needed an update overall. The surfaces and linens were fresh and well maintained. Very nice and helpful staff. All food and beverages, including morning coffee were for a fee.
- 5/5
Great place to stay, nice area
- 5/5
Very nice employees
- 4/5
Good customer service.
- 1/5
Outside looks terrible and sliding glass doors are horrible
- 4/5
Your average courtyard.
- 3/5
Door lock did not function properly. Each attempt to enter the room was an adventure. Sometimes the unlock function would engage, sometimes not. I didn't have a single entry that worked first try. Patio door to balcony has a broken latch. I was concerned for my security the whole stay. Also, the light in the parking lot outside my room (323) has a bad bulb, or something, since it flashed all night long.
- 5/5
I will recommend. It was clean and had friendly staff
- 1/5
Place was dirty everywhere garbage bags in hallways elevator descanting ,dirty
- 5/5
Everything was great
- 5/5
Good
- 3/5
The saying 'you get what you pay for' is so true of this hotel. Very reasonable rate and convenient location. But this hotel needs updating and refurbishing badly.
- 1/5
I had a terrible stay at this hotel. After checking in my key card was not working . Walked back downstairs to speak to front desk. Replaced it, still not working. She comes to check it out, come to find out there is someone in the room. Switched to another room, key cards not working. After what felt like a million trips walking back and forth to the desk, the 3rd room she gave me was horrible. It smelled like crap, the bathroom was leaking. The bed frame had some white dirty spots on it. I had to Lysol everything. I was soo tired for driving 3 hours there I just wanted to sleep. And the bed was very uncomfortable. I couldn’t wait to check out and go somewhere else . The lady at the office had the nerve to say I will give you a coupon for…seriously!! After causing me all these inconveniences a coupon for what $5 breakfast is what I deserve? Nah. Will not be staying here again.
- 2/5
The heat was not working correctly in our room and it was a very cold night. We had the thermostat up to 80 to get just a little bit of warm air. Also our tub had not been cleaned at all as there was both long hair and body hair in the tub. No showers for us needless to say. The rest of the room was clean so I guess the tub was missed.
- 1/5
It was unclean
- 5/5
Staff was nice
- 1/5
Checked the new assigned
- 4/5
The power was out for several hours with no generator, we had no heat and no lights in or around the building. The staff worked to keep us safe and comfortable. They were very apologetic for any inconvenience.
- 3/5
It was ok for one night
- 5/5
Feeling safe very clean
- 3/5
Hate to leave a middling review, but - awkward location, dated interiors (meaning, dingy - I don't care if it's "the latest thing"), zero drinking glasses in the room (not even plastic cups), and worst was no breakfast at all (just a coffee bar in the lobby with pricing higher than even a Starbucks). Reception staff was very nice, and the HVAC worked well, but that was about it.
- 5/5
Ma’moon is always happy and assuring
- 5/5
Decent for the money nowadays. Pool was good for my kids to look forward to.
- 1/5
Go elsewhere. The review site won’t even let you leave a honest review! They keep rejecting the honest review and want me to raise the star score, NO! Place was horrible!
- 2/5
The front desk was not there to check in and had to find the maid service to find the front desk person. He didn’t apologize and said he was busy doing something. The room was small and the room had a weird smell
- 2/5
It’s was not good, the Toliet wouldnt flush properly and the tv wouldnt work, it was very outdated, i was scared of bedbugs
- 3/5
The staff was excellent! Very friendly, personable, professional and efficient. The property requires renovation immediately! Rugs are horribly worn snd look filthy. Hotel does not have a cleanliness to it at all.
- 3/5
Overall the stay went well. The hotel does need updating and deep cleaning. There was mold in the AC unit and the ceiling of the bathroom. I was surprised that none of it affected my health because I have bad allergies but everything was great, slept great, didn’t need to use the AC due to the temperature being comfortable. The ventilation in the hallways are dusty and mold like as well but that didn’t affect my allergies. For the great price and great location, as well as the clean towels, shower, and beds, I would possibly return to this hotel
- 4/5
Great stay! But breakfast...
- 4/5
The staff was very helpful and friendly. My room was very old looking was not really happy about the room.usually I am in a nicer room.
- 1/5
This property is dated and physically worn out. The furniture in my room had noticeable wear and tear. The was a hair on the toilet. No USB outlets. The desk clerk walked me down to my room explaining he had to remove a “big fan”. It was the type used when a room has water damage and it needs to be dried out. He said another guest complained about an unpleasant smell in the room. It smelled musty. When I asked for another room, the clerk said, “we don’t have any.” I’m a Bonvoy Gold member and this was the worst Courtyard I’ve experienced. Remodeling way overdue.
- 2/5
Broken door handle, stains on the carpet, broken switchboard, etc. Not a good stay. Not free Internet, has extra charges. Got a different room than the one I booked. Not a good experience overall.
- 3/5
Upon entering our room cleaning supplies left in the room and dirty wet towels on the bathroom floor
- 4/5
It was a little older and darker property. Ice machine nearest to our room was not working. Room itself was clean
- 5/5
Easy last minute booking. Clean and nice staff.
- 2/5
The room was musty, wallpaper almost coming off the walls, the shower barely drained. Incredibly over priced for the quality. The pictures are very misleading.
- 3/5
Poor drainage in the shower. Staff notified upon checkout.
- 5/5
I was given an early check in -
- 4/5
All good
- 1/5
The room was dirty, and I did not get what paid $181
- 5/5
The staff was super-friendly and helpful! The bed was really comfy and perfect for a two-night stay!
- 5/5
Clean, easy to park, right off the highway, quiet, nice staff.
- 3/5
light out in elevator, very outdated Bedding and furniture very old Smelly
- 5/5
The bed was absolutely comfortable and slept like a baby
- 1/5
I paid in full a month ahead of time for a king size bed when we got there they said they couldn’t give me that and gave me a room with two smaller beds and said it was the same price because I booked it through a online company
- 2/5
Very rundown hotel. Carpets were threadbare and stained. Terrible musty smell throughout the facility. In dire need of a renovation
- 5/5
First room that we were assigned smelled like marijuana. They gave us a different room on another floor and it was fabulous. Nice hotel. Helpful staff. Would stay again!
- 3/5
We’re used to Fairfield. This hotel was not kept up. For example, in our bathroom the walls needed painting. Spots, holes in the middle of being patched up. Toilet paper roll was missing and where the roll was supposed to go, it was rusty. I’ll stop here.
