We ended up leaving and not staying here. It was filthy. People actually live at this hotel.

Smells like the room hasn't been open for a long time. Something growing in the shower. Smoke detector was in the dresser with no batteries. Lots of extension cords as most of the outlets don't work. Comfortable bed, quiet and no bugs is all I can say that good about the room. Pass by this one.

The rooms were clean and easily accessible. I liked the brightly colored walls and carpet, it makes the rooms very bright and welcoming. When I requested my room cleaned it was done quickly and with a well-done cleaning job.

It is rated as a one star hotel; I’d rate it more as a one and a half star. The manager and people working in the office were very pleasant and quickly responded when we asked for anything. I had emailed to say we were arriving late, and they waited for us to arrive. The beds were comfortable enough, the heater worked, and the room had newer carpeting. The bathroom door should be shortened to accommodate the newer flooring, and the sink faucets should be adjusted to not squeak. We have stayed in much worse!

For $45 a night I didn't have high expectations but it was close to our destination, Lake of the Woods. The gentleman who checked us in was friendly as was another man who was probably his father or father in-law. The room was certainly not up to date, but seemed to be clean. It had WiFi and a nice large TV, although we couldn't figure out how to get the channels we wanted, but found a show to watch. The hot water took a long time to get hot, towels were older and rather worn, no smoke detector. If you're looking for a no frills, low cost place to lay your head for one night it wasn't that bad. I got the impression the owners probably couldn't afford to make improvements.

Had holes in the walls and circles burns on the bedspread. Property not maintained and the owner does not obviously have any pride !!!! Plastic doll leg laying on the floor showed the lack of cleanliness immediately. Would have demanded my money back but had no vacancies anywhere for mile after mile due to Kenny Chesney concert. Pass this place up!!!!

It was a nice stay. The owner upgraded us to a room with a king size bed and when I asked about good eats in the area, pointed us to a really good place for pizza and sandwiches. Would definitely stay again.

Good points: the sheets were clean. The rooms they advertised were NOT pictures of the room I got. The walls were deep pink and dusty, I'm not kidding, dusty! I could see where they tried to wipe the walls down but missed huge sections. The carpet... I can't even describe in words what the carpet looked like. It was the tackiest carpet I have ever seen. The mattress was not even on an actual bed frame, but a cot frame. The sheets were very clean. The heater, however, wouldn't regulate. The room was stifling! Had to turn it off just to get sleep. The furniture was patio furniture. The appliances were on extension cords, definitely a fire hazard. The check in staff was ok, not enthusiastic about the process. I booked the room from Wednesday to a Saturday, checked out Friday, they refused to refund the remainder of the stay. Just overall not a great experience.

AC on a 90 degree day west facing brick building was turned on only as room was unlocked at around 5 pm. Would have been 12-16 hours before room was bearable. That is unarguable. AC should be on at all (all means all) times (in warm weather months) to avoid such conditions for travelers paying good money to stay in a cool comfortable room. For a non cool uncomfortable room, paying anything is not going to happen ever again. Had to do the obvious and leave within 30 minutes. A portion of payment (not all) was refunded for the short stay endured. I chose to go to a motel for cool comfort. Even told this to clerk at check in and stated it was the primary reason. Hugh!!!

It doesn't have all the perks, but if you are just looking for a place to relax and sleep this one will do. WiFi works great and lots of hot water for a shower. It is a bit dated, but after a long day a shower, pillow and the a/c on low is all I needed.

The room was clean, which is important to me. I stayed Saturday and Sunday nights and there was no housekeeping, but I was ok. The curtain over the window was pretty thin and people outside could see through. Not all the lights worked but I didn't need them anyway. Overall, my stay was fine.

Bed was comfy, but things were broken, the door didn't shut all the way at the bottom, ended up putting two chairs in front of the door. horrible looking room, bright green walls with sheer red curtains, you can plainly see through. Microwave had a huge crack, extension cord to plug in electronics by the bed. Great to sleep because you have your eyes closed. The flat screen tv was the only update. Definitely needs redone especially for the price. Wouldn't stay here again.

The motel is no frills but not bad for the price. We were on a budget so it fit nicely. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean. The only thing that surprised me was it had no ice bucket, the front desk would get you ice on request but no external ice machine.

Given the price, I had low expectations, but I at least would've expected their non-smoking rooms to not smell like smoke. The motel is run by two friendly Indian men, but it doesn't make up for room quality.

I would not use Expedia again. The staff did not realize the reservation was already paid for through Expedia. Once at home, it required a phone call and for them to check with Expedia before I was credited the extra payment.

The bed's looked as if they had not been cleaned for years. The bathroom was nasty, shower curtains were covered with mold. Bathtub had mold and goop all around. We could not stand to stay. Left to find different place, or sleep in the car, anything would have been better than that stinky, nasty place. Look worse than the BATES HOTEL!!!!!!!!!!!!
