The staff is outstanding.. The halls and stuff are pretty rough, apparently theyre redoing it. .. but the rooms are nice clean and comfortable. I had 4 rooms there for 2 days.. God location theres seeral food options within 2 blocks and lynchburg is a mile away

The value for the price, cleanliness, location. The bed while a King was noisy and uncomfortable. The TV picture was fuzzy and cut out for a period of time. Could have used better shower water pressure.

It took 3 trips to the front desk to get a key to work. We were given another room and the key worked fine. The lady assisting us was very nice and apologetic for our trouble.

The building & rooms were very old & needed some renovations to the doors, walls & floor. Their white towels need to desperately be replaced/updated as there were stains on every towel in my bathroom. The staff was great, the beds & sheets were clean & comfortable, especially if you are tired. I was grateful for a place to stay during graduation.

The staff were very nice & accommodating. The bathroom was clean, except for the bathroom fan. The fan was filled with dust. The fan was fully gray. I had to clean it myself to get air in the bathroom. The room itself needs work as an older hotel, but the bed sheets & pillow cases were clean. Their white towels for the bathroom were all stained. I went to the store & purchased my own.

If there was trash and clothing all under the beds, it would have been seen when the mattress covers are changed, so I believe the covers on the mattresses aren’t being changed either. Disgusting. Wouldn’t recommend

I was looking for a cheap stay for a single night at the last minute. This was one of the cheapest spots I found in the Lynchburg area, which had me a little worried but ultimately I was looking for a deal. Not only was my stay here perfectly adequate, it was quite comfortable. Granted, they have little issues with upkeep. Things could be dusted and spruced up a bit more, and my shower probably could've been renovated. But none of this interfered with the comfort of the room. The room was spacious, the mattress had the right amount of density and cushion to it, and everyone from the front desk to the cleaning staff was extremely friendly. With just a little sprucing up, this could be an amazing spot. Nonetheless, it was more than fine for one night.

The refrigerator worked good, the microwave was nice. Not much else, but the heat and air conditioner worked well and decent lighting. And the staff were cool Not all of the cable channels worked which was disappointing, the walls are very thin. At one point I was asked to turn the T.V. down which was crazy and the bathroom had no exhaust, or air circulation whatsoever, so taking a shower was a bit sticky..

Interior seems run down. Fan in bathroom is very loud and you can’t turn it off. Walls are thin and I could hear banging doors all night. When I tried to cancel my remaining two nights , staff gave me the run around and were not helpful at all.

Staff was amazing! Friendly and very helpful. Facility was in very poor shape. Rooms were ok, they were not filthy, but I wouldn’t call them clean either. There was definitely a “smell” in our rooms. I think it’s a good place to stay for the rate.

Asked the desk she told me she couldn’t the app could. The app says they have too. The place is dishonest and wants to take money when it’s their shortcomings that caused all this. I got scammed. And they had the nerve to mention the deposit, why for a place I didn’t check into. Message no response. BBB complaint coming tomorrow. I wouldn’t recommend it to any TRAVEL NURSE. Take your hard earned money elsewhere..

Staff were awesome and very helpful but the room was gross. Had to move rooms cause the first one had a messed up light, the toilet didn't work and there was a mystery white stain on the wall near the bed. When we did go to the next room there were roaches and there were no seals around the AC unit letting all the cold air seep into our room . Over all the only good thing was the ladys that work in the front office

This is a budget hotel, so don't expect 5 star accommodations. It's clean and comfortable. But this hotel does offer 5 star customer service. The counter is staffed 24/7 with the nicest, most pleasant, and most helpful people. They greet you, ask about your day, pet your dog, get you a replacement key no questions asked, and are genuinely nice.

Building exterior is disintegrating from water damage. There are open plumbing access holes in the hallways. Carpets are 10 years past life expectancy in the hallways. Paint is peeling in multiple locations both inside and outside the building. The pool that once was…is filled in and has debris laying around it for a lovely view from most guest room windows. This building needs to be demolished. Separately, the floors in our room were dirty. The TV would not turn on, and the coffee maker was dirty…like someone had poured coffee in the water reservoir and left it there for an extended period of time…the sheets on the bed were clean. Had they not been, we would have been sleeping in the mini van. Terrible experience…oh, and the place reeked of weed…which I hate and which I think is symbolic of the decline and soon destruction of western civilization. TERRIBLE experience.

I have stayed at this hotel on multiple occasions without issue. My needs are simple- clean room, comfortable bed, and minimal disturbances. One of a door at the end of the hall by rooms 218 and 219 makes a loud noise when it opens and a louder noise when it slams shut. Both nights I was awakened multiple times through the night, and starting at 5:00 or 5:30 it became relentless and sleep became impossible. Earplugs were insufficient. I doubt I will return.

The hotel was close to where I was visiting . It was easy to find. There is a choice of restaurants within walking distance to the hotel with a Taco Bell sharing a road entrance. There was good water pressure and hot water. The bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly and engaging. Except for the hallway door, it was relatively quiet. I stayed on the second floor and every time someone came thru the connecting hallway door, it would slam shut behind them. The hotel is a bit dated and there were dusty cobwebs near the ceiling of my room ( just like at home, if I'm honest). I missed not having a chair with the desk because I'd rather eat at the desk than sitting on my bed.

Literally everything. The lobby was filthy. The hallways were filthy. The parking lot seemed dangerous. The room was a nightmare: pubes and bugs in the bed; black mold in the shower; holes in the walls stuffed with toilet paper; weed smoke everywhere.

Close parking, the check in lady was wonderful, so sweet and kind, needs a little updaying but overall not a bad place to stay.

There is no breakfast offered. Most everything except staff.

The final blow was the bugs and flies in the room and in the bed. My wife, daughter, and I had many bites from the 2 night stay.

I am not sure why people thought this was a sketchy part of town - There are businesses all around that people were always at - this little Red Roof Inn had the nicest staff and there were dozens of dining options available just a short drive away

The room wasn't bad, the tub had some rust spots and water pressure was terrible. The outer stairwells and vestible areas were in need of paint and stucco repair from water damage. The stairway carpet is gross and needs replaced, there were live cockroaches in the stairwell on the ceiling and walls. The trashcan outside the "B" entrance was gross and the property had weeds and horrible landscaping. The old pool area is very unsightly, put the pool back in or do something with that area. There were guests hanging out of windows to smoke also. The motel staff were outside smoking in front of the office often.

The Hotel is in a nice little town. Affordable rates. Next door to fast food options if you want to grab a quick bite to eat. Staff was very nice during check-in. It was very quiet during my stay. Great choice if you're traveling through and need an overnight stay.

I was put in a nonsmoking room that had been obviously smoked in. They did switch me to a room across the hall but unfortunately the smell was the same.

I've never managed to stay at one of these chain hotels and they're not be something broken or missing from the room there was quite a few items in my room that were broken and missing once again this is a stay that I would not recommend as per the usual for the chain

The AC worked great, but was aimed at the bed closest to it. I did really love that the covers on the bed actually was long and loose enough to pull up around my shoulders. I would stay again, but only because it was very affordable.

The lady at the front desk was very nice. When I went to my room, the pillows and bed linens were all tore up, towels on the floor, the duvet cover was on top of the television bundled up, the room was just very messy in general. Clearly used and not cleaned by housekeeping.

Last minute room needed for loved one in the hospital. I was exhausted so got there and went straight to bed. The hotel is VERY run down, holes in the walls of the room, molding around the bath. It served us purpose of a bed to lay in but not somewhere is look to stay again.

The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. This is an older hotel that has not been well maintained. The cleanliness level left much to be desired but our bed was clean and we were just there to sleep. One thing that should be remedied asap is the missing smoke alarm in the room.

I absolutely understand that not every place is going to be for everybody, but when you do not stay at a facility because it is presented in an unsanitary fashion, you should absolutely be able to get a full refund! That is all I want. I paid for a room that I was unable to stay in and therefore, should not have to pay for the room that I was unable to stay in.

The outside of the building is a wreck. The lobby is new and the front desk clerk was great. The biggest problem was the condition of the building, very run down, and the cleanliness. When I went in the bathroom, there was something nasty all over the wall where your knees would be when sitting on the toilet. I don’t believe for one minute a cleaner couldn’t see it. I used hot water and a washcloth and wiped down the walls. I could have forgiven everything except that nastiness.

The outside of the building is a wreck. The lobby is new and the front desk clerk was great. The biggest problem was the condition of the building, very run down, and the cleanliness. The first room was check into the window was broken and there were very badly patched up holes in the doors The 2nd room we got didn't have a cover on the bathroom outlet, which the front desk person fixed right away. But even with fixing that there was still another cable that was exposed next to the TV, the ironing board was disgusting, one of the comforters had a stain that we couldn't tell if it was blood or hot sauce (praying it was hot sauce) and the comforter on the other bed had a hole in it. The fan in the bathroom was unplugged and without a cover on. And I'm pretty sure they only have 1 person on staff at a time because the lady that checked us in said she was also maintenance and said she had to do laundry so pretty sure she was the house keeper as well. The website claims they have free breakfast but all they have are vending machines if you count that DO NOT stay here. I wish I could get a refund because this place is not worth what we paid for

The staff was friendly. Check in and out quick. However, The property is badly in need of renovation with real repairs not just new tile on old Sheetrock or painting rotted surfaces. There is a no smoking policy but our neighbor smoked pot all night and it was really strong. Area was alright. Just super run down building.

The property needs a lot of repair and the building smelled of old cigarette smoke. The winows were filthy in the hallways and in the room. My bed was comfortable and clean. Overall, it served its purpose.

Towels and wash cloths could use an upgrade, as well as complimentary toiletries. However, for the budget minded, our stay was comfortable and would likely stay again.

The front desk service was amazing. The staff was super friendly and always on top of whatever question or need we had. We were looking for an affordable stay but still with comfort and this place did just that! Not too far from downtown Lynchburg just a 5min drive and a great Mexican place just down the street. We felt safe at the Red Roof and would deifnitley go back.

All staff members very friendly and quite helpful. I did not like that there was only one very small facial soap and no body soap nor lotion. The coffee maker was missing the glass pot in room 103.

It was an amazing experience from check-in to checkout. The front desk was knowledgeable and even gave me a recommendation for a lovely dinner. I highly recommend this Red Roof Inn. I will definitely see you next year when I am in town.

The bed frame had white crust like material on the side of the trim. The bedding had stains and not sure if washed. The bathroom floor was dirty and tub with mildew. The room and hallways smelled dirty and smoky. We finally found a room nearby and left early, the room and property was unclean and unkept. Again, we only stayed since we could not find a room and we bought our own cleaning supplies to clean what we could (ie the sink and lysol)

The place shouldnt even be open. The bugs arent the issue but definitely didnt help the siruation. This place needs a face life so bad.

The beds were stiff, hard and very uncomfortable. Corners in bathroom were dirty and not swept. No towel rack or toilet paper holder. Black mold around bathtub.Hole in bathroom door where it looked like someone punched it. Ice maker in hallway was leaking and water was every where. No elevator.

By far the worse place I've ever stayed. Dirty. Bad area. Unsafe for anyone!!! At 11:20pm I had someone try the shoulder-smash my room door open. At about 2am there was a shouting match in the parking lot. My room was not the cleanest. Please never, ever stay here with family. I only stayed as a single dad who went to the LU football game. Terrible place. Should NOT even be listed as an option.

There were just people hanging out side every night. Front desk people were very nice. There were still beard trimmings on the bathroom sink. Mattress had a huge sag in the middle. Someone had their truck on jacks working on their car at night. Hallway carpet is frayed and dark. Really running down unfortunately. I did get a free pair of Dr Dre beats that someone left on the TV stand though. 😂😂😂

Upon arrival thr greeting was great we couldn't get access through "door b" a pill was found on the floor between the beds and there was old spaghetti in the bed

I feel a breakfast (at least continental) should be served in the lobby (was told they haven't since Covid -- ridiculous) and the back yard of property has a filled in pool with weedy yard -- unsightly. Room was passable but not great, but staff was friendly.

The room was spacious and actually comfortable, but it and the entire building (except the recently renovated front reception/check in office) needs a deep top to bottom surface cleaning. This is an older property that looks like all they did was change out the flooring to vinyl planking (which was nice). There were cobwebs and thick dust at the wall/ceiling line in my top floor room (way too high for the maid service to reach without a ladder). An entire surface paint job would probably solve issues, as long as they stay on top of the cleaning.

Many roaches all night in one room(two kinds huge brown ones and small red ones). The other room smoke detector missing and both rooms smell of smoke so intense all our belongings smell of cigarettes. I called front desk immediately to get refund but denied. I called Travelocity but still no help. Me and my family had a worst experience

Entire propertty smelled like weed thr whole time we were there. Dirty hallways. Unkempt appearance. Broken fixtures in the room and bathroom, including the smoke alarm dangling from the ceiling. All this for $130/night.

Everyone who works at this place is so nice ! Our room was relaxing and the surrounding area even tho you're off a highway it's still so quiet I was able to sleep so good! We had a lot of fun staying here anything we needed they got it for us right away ! Great place and overall

Bathroom fan was broken (hanging from the ceiling), patio door was unlocked and alarm beeping all night my son had to hit the button to stop it. I like this hotel but all I heard that night was sorry but we can move you to another room (at 3 am I don’t think so) Why is maintenance not on site to fix these issues?

Always love staying here. I visit my son regularly in va and we always stay at this hotel. Staff is always wonderful and welcoming! If there have ever been any issues they always take care of us right away with no complaints!! They are amazing every time I come and stay!!

Smelly, shower pressure very low hard to wash my hair. I did not like this hotel & did not stay in this hotel that long, slept at a different hotel due to these issues

Cleaners of the room was unacceptable, bed linen was filthy with pubic hairs all over the sheet from top to bottom, It’s no way that that beard had ever been made up, Refuse to give us a different room and would only give us a top and bottom sheets clean sheet and said no one was available to come up and change the linen out, whenever you need to speak with someone at the front desk, you would always have to stand there for 20 minutes or more until someone showed up.

Great staff! My family was woken up by others customers from screaming at each other. It was immediately taken care of. Staff was helpful about roads to take at night that are safe vs not. I would definitely stay again! It was recently remolded and you can tell they’re not done but they are very nice!

Initially, pulling into the property, we felt it was extremely unsafe. Looks like there were drug addicts, hanging outside the hotel. When inside where the front desk, lady named, Lisa showed us two separate rooms and told us to pick which one we liked best. The first one had used bath towels all over the bathroom, hand soap. Looks like they made the bed, but did not clean the bathroom. The second room the bed was made but as we pulled the sheet back to make sure there were no bedbugs you clearly saw what appeared to be used sheets with fluid stuck to them. Bathtub was not cleaned, greasy with pubic hair all on the bottom of it ended up not staying there, because both rooms were filthy and we were told that they were clean. I was still charged for two nights, even though not even one night had been stayed. Called the next day to find out why I was charged for and was very rude disrespectful and hung up before the conversation was finished. I would not recommend anyone staying here.

While the stay was comfortable and safe the building is old and in need of repair. Entry door into room 120 was safe but loose. There was plenty of hot water so that is good. The bed was comfortable and the room quiet but the overall appearance was just old! while the room was quiet and comfortable there was trash and dirt behind the bed side table. Will we stay their again, sorry no.

The staff was friendly, the room was spacious, the shower was good, the fridge and AC worked very well, and the location was convenient to Liberty University.

The rooms are clean and beautiful! Outside of the rooms could use updating and yard manicuring.

This hotel is a place to stay in a pinch. The check-in was easy and the evening desk receptionist was very nice. He even had his two little cute dogs greet us. This was the best part of the whole two days. The tv was static the whole time because the wires were frayed. The smoke detector was pulled out of the ceiling and laying on the entertainment center. There were little dead bugs in the pillow where the pillow cover turns in. There was no hand soap. The towels they provided were damp. The floors throughout the room was filthy. After taking a shower and putting down a floor mat you could see all the dirt come off the floor. There is no elevator so expect a trek up to your room. The stairways were filled with mud someone kicked off their shoes. They staircase carpet smelt and needed to be replaced. There were traveling tree cutting men staying there who were out in the back area sitting with chairs and drinking. One time I was attempting to inquire about toilet paper and towels and there was no one at the front desk, so I gave up. No continental breakfast. You can make your own coffee with a keurig but not much creamer. The room itself wasn’t terrible. It looks to be renovated but not the rest of the building. I would probably not stay here again unless I’m a definite pinch.

While the staff were top notch, very courteous and helpful, the facilities were atrocious.. the buildings need renovation and steam cleaning inside and out. The staff made it bearable but I seriously doubt we will stay there again. This was our second stay in two years..

Only problem was mold on the shower curtain, all else was fine!
