Our experience at this hotel was outstanding!!! The rooms were neatly arranged and clean, and the staff were very professional. We visit Macon GA twice a year and Residence Inn is always our #1 hotel of choice. The staff provides outstanding guest services characterized by warmth, personal respect and responsiveness. Thank you all so much as we truly look forward to our next visit!!!

The room was great, entering was clean, the property was well kept, the staff were all friendly. The breakfast had a lot of choices and everything seemed to be freshly prepared.

The only issue was an overpowering bleach smell from cleaning the room when I first got to the room; but on advising staff, they sprayed a room freshener and turned on the air conditioning system to remove the odor. The bed linens also smelled strongly of bleach.

Parking was secure. The front desk staff were friendly, professional and kind. However, the building needs updating. Our room smelled like mildew, carpet was worn and old. The pool had a white film floating on top so we skipped a swim (that we were looking forward to after sitting for hours in tons of traffic). We traveled with family and a young child. Their room smelled strongly of cat urine. We arrived late due to traffic and were too tired to complain so we used our own air freshener which somewhat helped. Even though the rooms clearly stated no smoking our rooms and hallway reeked of marijuana.

My best hotel experience in years!

I loved the two bedrooms its great for big families with little kids! I liked the refrigerator and stove and sink and table! The rooms need an update. They feel outdated and worn out. Fireplaces need to be removed. Seems dangerous and not good for kids!

Upon getting in the room after a 16 hour drive we go in and find three bugs crawling two cockroaches and not sure what the other was - dog hair was all over the couch - we left. Didn’t get a refund and going to take it further - highly grossed out and I would not advise staying here.

Overall everything was very good. However, the sofa bed itself need some cleaning as it was stained.

The price was Way, WAY more than it should’ve been and the little girl working the check-in counter at night was awful, .…literally clueless. She seriously tried to charge me AGAIN for the room after I’d already paid for it!!

Although a Gold member and coming in via Hotels.com was not offered a gift up arrival.

to fix the issue, eventually the door lock was not working.The lady in the front was not friendly. Near to highway and a lot of noise during night.

We had a nice stay except that when I placed the reservation, I chose a king bed and almost certain I did but got a queen bed. When I asked they said that’s all they have…would be really nice if the offered king beds in suites. Overall the stay was good. Room was spacious, breakfast was good. Parking was close. Didn’t get use the pool so can’t comment on that. Closehotel with good amenities

Excellent property we’ve stayed here several times passing through. Very quiet tucked away from the highway, lots of food options within a couple minute drive, staff is wonderful, rooms super quiet and spacious.

Breakfast was great.Rooms looked old but they tried to some what update the rooms with paint.

My stay was great! Check-in was easy, staff was more than welcoming. Price was reasonable. Overall grade A

The mattress for the pull-out couch had stains all over it. The doors and walls knock the room and bathroom were filthy. The blackout curtains in the bedroom were half ripped off the curtain rod. One bedroom was literally missing a closet door. The furniture was in very rough condition, and all the hardware and doorknobs were rusted out. Not at all what we expected for the price.

This property is in a great location, and everything was clean. However, everything seemed to need a lot of work. Our door would barely close like it had been knocked off the hinge. One of the toilets flushed as those it was constantly about to overflow. The fridge had tons of dents in it. The bathroom had tons of patch that wasnt painted on the ceiling. One of the lights/outlets next to the bed didn’t work. The side entry door was beat up. The wallpaper was peeling in the halls. The sports court floor surface was uneven.

Room was dirt LY and food left in pull out couch. Staff was helpful and worked with us to address.

I was charged $100 for having a cat stay with us.

We had to switch rooms twice, so once because the toilet didn’t flush well and second because the replacement room they gave us was a different room type than what we originally had. The staff was nice but the overall hotel does not feel like a Marriott’s.

Great stay after a long drive

First room had a smoker in it, we had to change. The 2nd room wreaked of human poop. We opened the window and went for a walk (winter by the way). We came back it was slightly better. Room after further inspection was just gross. Hair all over bottom of closet, dirty dishes put away. We left at 4am FULLY GROSSED Out.

Hotel is old and needs to be updated. The bed was comfortable but because of the age it felt unclean. We only used it as a one night stay. I would not recommend.

Love staying here when we are traveling through the area. Staff is awesome, nice indoor pool, and tons of dining options within a couple minutes.

The stay and room was great. The breakfast was ok. I booked the room to use the pool and the pool was freeing cold and dirty. We had to clean it out ourselves.

I was visiting family. I booked at the last minute. Was really glad they had availability. Parking was good. Access was good. Location great. Right off I75, but area is nice.

I tried & tried to reach the GM but never could catch LaTesha even after leaving serveral messages. The hideaway bed was nasty & container no sheets or blanket. Mgmt offered to get a sheet but the mattress was so stained & ripped we decided not to use it. The TV did not work at all. Also the sofa was nasty looking & stained. The barhroom door was horrible. It rubs hard against the toilet when closing or opening the door. Have to push really hard & cannot go to bathroom quietly during the late night. Breakfast food was horrible.

Walls are very thin. Could hear people above us talking.

My stay was very good! The room had everything we needed. There were places I could walk my dogs and the breakfast was delicious and quite the spread.

We stayed in a studio which was very nice and very affordable!

The kitchen staff lady, got out of her chair and walked between my daughter and I saying, “it’s probably out, don’t pour that down there, I hate it when people do that” as she elbows me in the back and pushes through my daughter and I. I asked her why she didn’t put a sign on the wall if everyone was doing it, because it appears to be a drain, I started showing her the places she could hang a sign and another guest said, “that makes too much sense” and then after the staff began getting louder the other guest began saying, “just be nice” repeatedly. I was shocked to say the least; I tried to speak with who presented themselves as the manager and before I could say a word, she tells me, “I’ve already heard both sides of the story”. I said, how have you heard both sides of the story when we haven’t spoken?!?! I will be reaching out to the ownership team, what I experienced in front of my daughter was unacceptable.

Great place to stay near Macon. The staff is first rate, the property very well kept and the rooms very comfortable. Ask to be placed opposite highway if you are a light sleeper as some noise does come through.

Clean and friendly, but $100 a night fee for a small kitten seems a bit extreme. Most other motel fees for pets were $0 to $35 as we drove across the country.

The pool is freezing. Our 6 year old couldnt even stay in there. He was really bummed because he loves to swim.

I have to admit that I was skeptical about booking after reading some of the reviews. I am happy that I decided to stay here. The suite was clean and spacious, the lobby was appealing and parking was adequate. I did not see any suspicious people hanging around in hallways or in the parking lot. I am very pleased. The staff was courteous and professional. I did not encounter any issues. I recommend this property to anyone.

The room was fantastic. The breakfast was great. Parking was very convenient. The staff was outstanding. I look forward to staying there again. I also will look into traveling and staying at other Residence Inn Properties.

Loved the location, updated bathroom/shower, comfortable bed. The kitchen seemed handy but dated and in need of new kitchenware.

The hotel was nice and clean and the staff was friendly. The food in the morning was fine. The pool however was like a sauna. Not refreshing at all. However, it was very hot outside so it's understandable.

It was good for a one night stay. They played loud music until after 10 and made it hard for my son to go to sleep.

Checked in when outdoor temperature was 100 degrees, but bottled water was not offered at reception nor available in the room. Drinking tap water brought on intestinal problems. Sure could have used a plastic cup in the bathroom. Glass not a great solution. The hotel is showing its age. The hall floors actually creaked!

This was our first time in this type of Marriott lodging. Our stay was very comfortable. Residence Inn separate bedroom & living area made it relaxing for each of us. We we enjoyed a swim and breakfast was wonderful.

front Desk Rep. to get the towels that I request 2 hours and 30 minutes prior. A Very Bad example of customer service. I have been staying at Marriott properties for many years. This is the worst service I have ever been exposed to at any Marriott properties.

Loved the hotel, clean and decorated beautifully. The check in was great, super sweet lady at front desk. Room was great except it was in the back near the interstate and I heard traffic all night and the freight trains that came through ALL NIGHT LONG! Didn’t get a lot of sleep. The hotel was perfect except for the noise.

They charged my credit card twice and can't explain why.

I thought if its a Marriott property it would be like marriott hotel. Boy was i wrong Dirty, rusty, handles were falling off doors. Floors were dirty and even the part of the room that didn’t have carpet were sticky and smells. Awful

We were located in a room right next to the Interstate freeway after specifically requesting a QUIET room, we did not sleep ALL NIGHT it was like being at the Indianapolis Speedway ALL NIGHT AND THERE WERE NO other rooms they were all booked we checked out at 4:00 sat in lobby to speak with manager

Overall the property is great. The front desk staff are wonderful.They are friendly, professional and fast.

Hotel gave our prepaid room away to another guest who asked for an upgrade. The hotel then took twenty minutes to give us two rooms. They did honor the price. One room had a broken lock. So back to the front desk. Hotel also charged a pet fee of 100.00. Orbitz should make any additional fee for a pet charged by the property clear. Especially when you search for pet friendly hotels.

Terrible noise comes from the highway . You won’t be able to sleep . & then the Train , ever your loud siren . It was a bad experience for me

Everything was great but we didn't know about a 100 dollar nonrefundable fee for having our 8 pound chihuahua . We knew you could have a dog 20 pounds or less but not about the nonrefundable 100 dollar fee.

It was a very beautiful place to stay and will be returning when traveling.

Our stay was nice. The suite was large, plenty of room. The only minus is that our second floor room was right above a fire pit where people gathered until late and were somewhat loud.

No free breakfast. Will NEVER stay again! Smelly, dirty $hit hole, person at front desk was rude. Offered 15% off at their dirty restaurant. Never again!!!
