I really enjoyed my stay at the Candlewood Suites. I Had the King suite for a week. Very convenient to food and stores. The bed was very comfortable . My daughter slept on the hide a bed and she also was comfortable. All of the staff were very helpful. Lizzy was super friendly and got us checked in after a long flight from Los Angeles. I will be staying again. I recommend this hotel to anyone who wants comfort and cleanliness, Thanks.

We’ve stayed at Candlewood Suites before and have always had super clean and updated rooms. This one, however, was not up to par. A missing sink in the men’s public bathroom in the lobby, food left in our room’s refrigerator as well as our refrigerator having issues (ice maker broken, wheel caster missing, door misaligned) were some of the issues. A bit disappointed in this facility.

Do yourself a favour book a suite and be comfortable ! Just like home! Wasn’t sure when we first walked in but very pleasantly surprised ! Disappointed no breakfast tho so off to Cracker Barrel in the morning!

My recent visit was great, and I would highly recommend this place. One of the first things I noticed and appreciated was how immaculately clean the room was—a truly pristine and welcoming sight after traveling. Beyond the physical space, the staff deserve immense praise for their kindness and superb service. They were genuinely nice and made every interaction a pleasure. It is also clear that the management has invested wisely, as the new updates and enhancements are nothing short of amazing. They've successfully brought the entire establishment to a whole new level of quality and comfort.

Invasion of insects/beetles and no help from management. Also, no breakfast and snacks/bottled water all overpriced.

Clean room friendly staff

Although there were a couple of issues with my door and tv the staff did all they could to correct the issues.

Property is in the middle of a refresh so it looks like a construction zone. Room was clean, front desk person was friendly. We would stay again.

You have to turn the ice maker on when you get there but it doesn’t make enough ice to use when you want it. No USB ports to charge your devices. Sheets had stains and towels are yellowed.

My husband & I were just traveling through & needed a place to sleep after a long day of driving. This Hotel was under construction, but the staff were friendly, the room was clean & the bed was comfortable. There were also plenty of restaurants nearby.

What I did NOT like is that thee was no hot water the night I stayed nor was there any hot water the next morning. I let the shower run for 20 minutes the night and for 20 minutes them morning and never had hot water. This was very disappointing as I had driven over 900 miles and wanted a hot shower. When I mentioned this to the front desk, I was told that in that room the shower controls were backward and hot was cold and cold was hot. This was a poor attempt to explain no hot water. If it was so, I should have been informed. However, it was NOT so, as I tried that tactic and still had no hot water. I should be given a full refund for the lackluster accomodations and for the staff lying to me. Very, very disappointed in Candlewood.

Bed was too hard. Very uncomfortable. Bathroom handicapped equipped shower water ran out onto floor. Had to use towels instead of bath mat. Also mold around the shower Crome on nozzle.

The carpet throughout the entire room was DISGUSTING and sticky. Our shoes were sticking to the floor. Every single chair in the room was stained and sticky. We reserved the king bedroom suite which consisted of a living room and kitchen area and a bedroom with a door. The ONLY source of air conditioning/heating was in the living room area. For the bedroom, they have cut a hole in the wall, placed approximately 1 foot by 1 foot fan in the wall between the living room and bedroom. It was 80 degrees when we arrived so I had to go out and purchase a fan just so we could get a bit of air flow. As I was checking out the next morning, the attendant asked about our stay. When I explained why I stated it was horrible, she said she would let the manager know and offered to give me IHG points for the inconvenience.

No hot water, very old dirty carpet, rusted picture frames broken luggage carrier WiFi didn’t work refrigerator was hot. Just an overall BAD experience.

Would not stay there again. 4:00pm shower was Luke warm at best. Tv is very poor quality. Bed was sqeeky. Air conditioner was old and broken parts but worked well.

We booked this hotel based on their claim to have EV charging. It does not. Management seem to know nothing about it being listed as an amenity. The room was clean, but the refrigerator was so loud, I had to unplug it. Trains rolled by at least 4 times during the night. Not a good night.

The drinks being sold were expired. When I attempted to exchange it, the rest were expired as well

No overhang to unload. Luggage carts all broken in different ways. No breakfast of any kind. No ice machines. Side door broken. On the other hand the room/suite was nice, clean and comfortable. We had 2 double beds. The tv was very small, drip coffee maker with very stale coffee mate cream.

The property is conveniently located to shopping, dining, and major highways - quiet and convenient. The room was small, but it and the bedding was comfortable. The kitchenette was well equipped with stovetop, dishwasher, and full sized refrigerator. There was no food service, however, and the pantry's refrigerator was broken, so there were no food items available other than snacks.

The property is aging and could use some upgrade , but the price point is good and the rooms have an efficiency style kitchen so a guest could do basic cooking. No complementary breakfast but well stocked pay for pantry except no milk . At any rate, the place was clean and the bed was very comfortable. I'd stay again !

My room smelled SO bad

The room’s electrical service was jury-rigged on a “master switch” labeled on the wall. So either all lights are on or all are off. In other words, you can’t turn off an individual light once on. The 1982-style refrigerator ran like a freight train in the room. I just unplugged it to get some peace. The front desk attendant literally had a marijuana hoodie on although he was very nice. Was otherwise clean. Surprised IHG allows this type of property to represent them. Apparently so, and so I will look at other than IHG properties for my future stays. Plenty of other options in Macon so avoid this one.

I liked the area and loved the in- room cooking facilities. Housekeeping was lax and needs improvement. I did not complain about this, as it was Christmas, but I would have otherwise. Overall, it was just fine, and the staff were generally very friendly.

Paid for queen bed and got a small bed. Said dog friendly but shot hit with $50 fee at check in. No mention of fee on site. Lady at the desk said it was for deep cleaning of room after we left. Our room had not be deep cleaned in month. Cracker crumbs

Close to restaurant's, convenient location

The property itself could use some updating, but what stood out most was that while being pet-friendly, the staff was lacking. Allow me to explain: our dog had an accident on the bed and we called down to ask for a change of sheets and bedding, etc. We were advised to take the bedding to the laundry facility and wash it ourselves!!! We spent all night going back and forth to check on the laundry, to make sure items were cleaned and dried. When I say ALL NIGHT, I am NOT joking. It took forever to get the bedding dry. I just don't think I will ever stay at a Candlewood or IHG facility again. Left us feeling tired and just not happy about our stay. NEVER been treated that way before while traveling with our dog.

My stay was 10 nights and they never cleaned the room once had to ask for clean towels. And one night there were guests literally fist fighting in the parking lot with the staff watching and another guest finally had to call the police because the staff

What's with the large dog barking at you with the night shift desk person? Gangs of young men hanging outside (drinking) in the parking very late into the night.

Me and my boyfriend has stayed at this property twice. We definitely enjoy staying at this place. It’s very clean. They also have a store with everything in it. The staff is so amazing. This is our spot for now when we come out of town. I was very satisfied and impressed.

Did not like the room

The place is getting worse. The pool area was not regularly cleaned up and the guests were happy to leave it a mess. There was dog mess outside the elevator. TV went out for an entire evening and night. They didn't honor my request for a low floor even though I booked well in advance. I'll be looking for another place for my stays in Macon.

The property was clean inside and out with a nice pool and a nice grilling area with weber gas grills. I will definitely be staying here again.

My "go to" hotel when staying on business in Macon. Great rooms, best of staff, property well maintained.

2nd time we have stayed here. It's very annoying that no one is EVER at the front desk. They hide behind space, don't acknowledge you. Found a roach and someone's glass under the bed.

The person not at the desk who I had to call on a phone, told me there were no clean rooms and she did not know when my room would be available, but she would call me. I went to another hotel next door and got a room. The Candlewood Suites never called to tell me my room was available and they refused to refund my money although I stayed somewhere else. They breached the contract, (no room) and kept my payment. THEY ARE DISHONEST THIEVES.

location it was easy to get on and off the interstate. Restaurants were in walking distance.staff immediately took care of any problem I had. The building was clean and quiet.

It was perfect for what we required for our 9 day stay. Access to gym, laundry, all the food and grocery outlets very close by, even walking distance. Very quiet considering it was next to the highway and train. Staff were very friendly when we needed assistance. Hot water, great water pressure, safe parking. Definitely recommend Candlewood.

The room was dirty. 2/3 towels had hairs on them. The shower was moldy. Also under the bed had pills, dust bunnies and other unknown substances. Also the ground around the hotel had so much trash everywhere.

Lobby was extremely loud. Furniture in room was quite "used." Toaster was dirty, countertop under stove is broken. Smoke detector right over bed makes it challenging to sleep with a constant flashing light.
