The front desk attendant was really pleasant and gave us a great Chinese Restaurant recommendation. He was very sweet and I did not get his name, but he was very welcoming and friendly. He definitely is great at his job! I would like to thank him so much! Please let him know that the Chinese food was amazing! And we will definitely stay again soon! The room was very clean and the perfect temperature. We absolutely enjoyed our stay.

It is a Botel with exterior doors and none of the locks work.

Cleaned and it seemed renovated, so no carpet, which is a plus for me. The stairs leading up to the room were a bit tight so probably not good if you have mobility issues and your room is in the 2nd floor.

Overall it was very nice there. Zac was very nice and helpful too.

Our stay was great. The staff members were so friendly and helpful. The room was very clean. We had a great parking area right next to our door. The only complaints we had were the room gets really humid after showering. The floor would be very wet throughout the entire room. We had to prop the outside door open until it dried because otherwise it wouldn’t. Also in the room we stayed in, whenever the staff members enter/exit the check-in area, the door slams really loud and wakes you up. Other than that everything was great. The pool was the perfect temperature.

The room that we first were offered was not horrible, but the fridge stopped working and leaked water all over the room. Had the upfront working come check it out said she would call the manger and get another room. 30 mins had pasted and my children were getting tired, so I went back to the front to see what was going on and she said we were going to move to another room on the second floor. I'm thinking okay. Once in the room it was dirty we found a big hairball on the bedding when we pulled the covers back dead bugs on the floor some kind of residue in the sink. My husband would not let me complain again because he just wanted to get the kids to bed after our long day.

The housekeeping staff stayed on top of everything, and our room was clean and comfortable. The air conditioner worked perfectly, the water pressure in the shower was amazing, and overall the room was very well maintained. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend staying here and would gladly come back again in the future!

The pool room was extremely hot it felt like a sauna and you weren't allowed to open the windows/sliding doors. They didn't have enough towels.

Was looking to stay somewhere at an affordable price. The room was clean and comfortable for me and my partner. Parking was fine (does get full at night). I was very hesitant at first but it was a very decent place for a cheap stay. The pool is clean aswell.

You actually have to walk outside in the parking lot to get back to your room so don't go if it's cold. Some of the places in the area can get rude so beware of that if you plan on getting food nearby as well

Could see through door and hear everything. Unsafe feeling around property. Tv/remote didn’t work. Not enough towels. Air conditioning did not work; went off and on all night. Terrible.

I had hair all in my shower behind my toilet, I never had to go and get my cleaning stuff at another hotel and wipe everything down but overall, if my room was clean, well, it would’ve been a very good stay

The room was nice enough. It's just that it was only scheduled to be cleaned once (the last morning of our 4 night stay). And the worst part was having breakfast cancelled the last half of our stay since it was only on the weekends.

Staff was friendly. Room was clean. I did have to change rooms because the door lock was not working and the deadbolt was useless. But the staff was really helpful and gave me another right away.

I wasn’t too fond of the pool area. It should be covered for swimmers not visible on a busy street when cars are constantly passing by and people are constantly pulling in and out.

Door had wind/light coming through, room 16. No one was available during check out. Guests were scrwaming outside at 6am. No blow dryer. Updated room, very clean, good price, and location, heat and ac didnt have a bad smell and temperature stayed controlled well.

The bed was great. Clean and comfy. The room was spacious. The shower was good. The TV didn't work. (Remote and cable especially) The wifi was bad. The doors (bathroom and main door) didnt close properly. The tub was dirty. Lots of dirt especially in the jets.

My kids loved the pool while my husband and I loved them cleanliness of it. Only issue I had was I feel like not enough parking

The deposit takes forever to get back to your card o been waiting since Feb 28 and it's still pending.

They couldn't serve breakfast because they just remodeled and were waiting for their permit, which was fine with us they have a coffee pot in the room. Staff is always friendly, knowledgeable, and polite. This was our 3rd stay, and the best stay with all the updates. I definitely recommend staying here!

I’m a traveling Surgical Tech and have been staying here during the week since July, and it’s been amazing! The rooms are beautifully remodeled, clean and conformable. They have one of the best indoor pools that I have experienced and the staff is wonderful. I highly recommend this motel!

The room was fine. There was a stain on the pillow case and some black marks on the towels. The door to get in was difficult, took more than 3 tries to get it to open. The door also did not lock on the inside. The TV was also difficult to turn on. The two ladies that were working the desk were very friendly.

It was a good place to lay your head. Clean, easy access. It would have been nice to have a couple extra amenities like a blow dryer and more than one trash can. They only clean every 3 days of your visit unless requested. That worked for me.

While checking in staff did not have our room as available. Receptionist had to manually enter all my information and ny credit card has the charged amount of our stay as pending. She said she had to move a person for the next day so we continue to stay in the same room. On Saturday our key card didn't work so we had to go get it reset. Room was nice but could use some updates. There is no toilet paper holder or shelf in the shower. The jacuzzi tub had the water reversed. Parking lot is small.

Sisters from WI. and MO. met to watch the Chicago Marathon. Staff allowed us to leave one car on Sunday in the parking lot. We picked it up before 2:00 PM. They also let us use the staff restrooms before our drives.

The conditioner worked well. It got pretty cold it was hard to get it just right.

Parking was very tight and Staff were polite but breakfast selection was limited need a better selection.

Worst hotel that i ever stayed got there around 8pm on a monday lady in the desk bery very rude around 7am construction start with a lot of noise repairs going on why dont you close the hotel instead of waking people up with noise at 7am?

I discovered there were bed bugs in the mattress of the suite I was in, so that first morning I had to check out immediately.

Non smoking and smoking rooms are all mixed. My room was non smoking and next door room smoking therefore my room smell like smoke all the time! (Marijuana)

The room was very big and nice. Bathroom was clean but could tell they were still doing renovations. Pools were closed due to renovations being done. Not a lot of parking at the end of the night.

How to make sure there’s trashcan all level also if anybody smoke a cigarette outside the room, it goes in the van of the heaters and makes the room smell like cigarettes. They need a better way a better area to smoke people like I are very allergic.

We have stayed at the Rodeway many times over the years, and the front office staff, especially Christine, and Maria, has always been first rate!

Beyond happy with this place. I come to Chicago often and usually stay downtown but from now on, I will be staying here. The rooms are thoroughly cleaned, beds are comfy, area is calm and parking is very easy. Maria was at the front desk and she was very welcoming, informative and processional, 10/10 customer service from her. I highly recommend this place.

The second floor needs three garbage cans outside the rooms besides the smoking stand and the bedroom need a bigger garbage can, and the refrigerator needs to be more colder beside that the team and the place is always clean

I’m a traveling Surgical Tech from Ohio and have been staying here for the week for the last 3 weeks. The rooms are absolutely beautiful! I’ve never been somewhere where the rooms were so clean! They have done a beautiful job remodeling and the pool is delightful!

Thank you for a wonderful experience. I love the new remodel room. I’m glad that you guys took the rug out and put floors. I love how the room I had had shampoo and conditioner inside the bathroom on the wall except for room 46 where they didn’t have it. You only gave us a travel size one this time my price online was higher than expected. I usually pay at least $80 a day. It went up to 97 on line .

This location in Lyons Illinois was an awesome experience since I’ve been there. I love everything about it from the staff and especially Maria ROSA, Christine and Lady. They all are wonderful at their job. The cleaning ladies they do their job. OK I appreciate all the hard work that the team does every day for this location in line. My recommendation is instead of always having apples inside for breakfast. Change it up for oranges or bananas not everyone like apples.

Not a great place. Very basic. Door to room was a bit hard to open. On day 2 I went for a shower but there was no water. When I mentioned this to a member of staff (note - reception un-mannned in morning, just happened to see a staff member wandering about) I was told water turned off between 7 and 9am, apparently there was a notice in reception when we checked in, but I neither noticed this or was alerted to this. I'd had a shower on day 1 during the same times and it was fine. Seems a stupid time to turn off water when most people would probably be waking up. Was offered to use shower in a different room but it was too late as I needed to go. Breakfast selection poor. 10 minutes walk from METRA train station for trains to downtown. Would not stay again.

We came to town for a concert downtown Chicago and was looking for comfort, safety but also affordable. We booked two King rooms for our stay and honestly I was a little nervous when booking online. I’m so grateful we decided to book our stay and I didn’t go by the photos and reviews. Both rooms were comfortable and clean. One of our rooms appeared to be recently renovated. The place was clean and the staff was so nice and sweet and accommodating for everything. This morning upon checking out renovations was being done but that did not bother us as they are making the place better for others to enjoy. We will be back in October for another concert and will book our stay with them again

I enjoy the new repair in the rooms. I rented rooms for repair and after fantastic job keep up the wonderful service and keep up the clean and good prices.

There is no phone in room to contact office. The hotel was under construction. The stairs are dangerous, the steps are too small and the other side the stairs at too slippery.

The staff was attentive. The room was clean. The water pressure was good and the bed was comfortable. Restaurants are nearby. Ubers are efficient. The experience is worth the price of the room. ⭐️⭐️✨

The parking lot wasnt the greatest. Not a lot of spaces that were convenient. Also they were remodeling and all the dust and drywall dust got all over my car and they started at 7am. I wish they would of asked ys to move the car before starting.

They are in the middle of a remodel, but things are relatively nice. You get what you pay for in amenities. Having free parking was what we went for. Parking lot was cumbersome with the construction, but close to our room. There was a gap underneath the main door and the door wouldn’t close unless you made it. Towels and soap were made for just the two guests for one night, no extras. Staff were VERY pleasant. Very helpful and kind, even at 1am. 5/5, will stay again for closeness to Chicago.

I called before and was told the booking age requirement was 18* so I went ahead and booked my room online and show up and wasn’t able to check in because a new receptionist said the correct age is 21* they did make accommodations, but it was very overall disappointing and miscommunication. They as well kept watching my room and just made me feel very uncomfortable. Great place to stay for just overnight. Weekend+ no.

Newly remodeled and clean. Advertised to have cribs but they did not. The bathroom is made for a very small person and no bathtub. Traveling with a toddler I needed the tub. The deadbolt didn’t work and there was a lot of late night noise. Sirens waking us up all night. The staff seemed friendly and the room smelled good. Parking was limited but we checked in early so found a spot. Seems to be a decent area.

The bathroom was dirty, there were holes in the floor underneath the vinyl they’d covered it up with, the parking spots were all over the place which made it difficult to maneuver, and the front desk was in a room that you couldn’t access without buzzing in so we couldn’t talk to a person when checking out because no one answered our buzz.

Conveniently located near a Metra station, and some shops and food outlets. It may not look like much from the outside, but the inside of the rooms have been refurbished. AC works well, beds were comfy and rooms clean. Breakfast was basic, but you would not expect anything more from a place like this. Nice place for an affordable stay in Chicago.

The check in went smooth. The staff was pleasant. The room was clean. The breakfast area was clean and well stocked.

The location is great for me, which is why i stay there. The bed is comfortable and it has a good shower. The fridge wasnt too cold and a house keeper tried to walk in on me when i was naked. I told her bot to and she kept trying. Door was difficult to open at times as well. I would still stay there, for the location amd price. Just know that its not perfect.

I CAME INTO CHICAGO TO GO TO A CONCERT. THE ROOM I CHOSE HAD A HOT TUB AND I ENJOYED RELAXING IN THE TUB. THE ROOM WAS SPACIOUS WITH A KING SIDE BED, A TABLE TO EAT ON AND A COUCH TO SIT ON AND WATCH TV. IT WAS CLEAN. I WOULD CHOOSE THIS INN AGAIN. THE HISPANIC LADY WAS NICE, FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL

I wasn't sure what to expect, but our motel room was clean and a quiet place to sleep. The shower was clean and there was a mini fridge. We had a small table with two chairs and a nice TV. The pool is large and well-kept. We had an easy time finding parking in the back lot when we came back at 1:30 a.m. Saturday daytime traffic was a mess but that's not the motel's fault. We would return as staff was extremely respectful and friendly.

There were stains on the towels, a large crack in the window, the door didn't lock, and there was construction in the adjacent room. Overall, a very poor experience, and I would not recommend anybody stay here.

I think this hotel was perfect for how much it costs. Room was very clean and the bed was very comfy. It is very close to the Metra as well.

When you have a jacuzzi tub and 2 people you need more than 2 thin towels and you definitely need something on the tiled floor to keep from slipping and cutting your foot on the corner of the tub step!!

This was by far one of the worst places I’ve stayed in. The rooms did not have supplies such as towels or blankets. Ceiling was falling apart. Lock was broken. Card reader for the rooms didn’t work sometimes and had to be forced open. There was hair all over the shower wall prior to us being there. And when you did shower the one sheet that covered it did absolutely nothing so the toilet would get completely wet. Would highly not recommend.

Lobby door was locked, so first red flag. No closet in the room, nowhere to hang business attire. No tub, which was odd. There was a huge gap under the door, any kind of bug would easily get in, thankfully we didnt see any. No bath mat and towels were the size of a large tea towel. Good news, they had facecloths!! (Not sure when face cloths became optional for hotels, we've stayed in several that don't have them) Very noisy, people yelling all night. Sketchy part of town. Pool looked nice, but we didnt use it. Only real positive is that there were some good authentic international restaurants, we had Serbian food for the first time, and we didnt have to pay $58 for parking like we did the night before downtown. Overall the place definitely needs updating and it wasn't worth the rate we paid.
