Reviews
The hotel staff is consistently praised for their friendliness, professionalism, and helpfulness. However, the hotel's cleanliness and condition are frequently criticized, with guests mentioning issues such as dirty rooms, old furniture, and malfunctioning equipment. The location is generally seen as convenient, but some guests have complained about noise from the nearby freeway.

We had booked a room with 2 beds and ADA accessible; this was not available upon arrival. Although the staff tried to accomodate our needs; eventually we had to (pack up and) move to a different hotel

Exceptional
- 5/5
The staff were incredibly friendly and Olivia at the check in desk went above and beyond.
- 4/5
Everything was great, except that the bedding was too small for the bed. The comforter didnt go over the sides of the bed at all, it actually stopped a few inches ontop. This made it where we were constantly fighting over the comforter all night. Everything else was good, but just 1 small issue that could be adjusted. Friendly staff and clean rooms.

Clean quiet and friendly staff

Parking was limited, systems were not working, rooms need an update, towels were thin….
- 3/5
Room keys never worked. All ice machines weren’t working.

Everything was wonderful. Marriott’s are the best!

The business center did not work as I needed to use the computer and printer which costed me more time and money to get things printed at staples. Many of the hotels doors broken and things did not work. Could of swore that breakfast was included, which it was not. I also was harassed by the staff of the hotel for not being a current guest, as I was being chased down the hallway being accused of not being a guest at 7:00am walking the lobby with a cup of coffee. There were many other places we could have stayed if we were informed of these things prior to us checking in, which we were not. I was really disappointed being harassed by the hotel staff for not being a current guest, as this was pure character profiling and bad judgment on the hotel staff. I am not homeless or looked homeless, but was harassed as if I was. This made me very uncomfortable and not happy with the hotel and its staff. While checking out I did talk to the current staff at checkout counter as this guy was really helpful and listed to my valid complaints. I will be contacting the hotel management as part of this review and let them know my concerns about our stay and the situations that occurred at the hotel.

We are repeat guests as a result of the reasons noted in this survey. All 10's and very happy. It exceeds or expectations for this type of hotel, especially having "fresh", made to order (limited menu + Starbucks coffee) breakfast and Happy Hour selections. The hosts of the morning breakfast and Happy Hour are pleasant and engaging. Front desk attendants are also engaging and always greeting you as you come and go from the hotel. Plus, being at the 'End of Line' for the Seattle light rail makes getting to and from SEATAC airport so much easier! Plus, visiting downtown, University of Washington, Baseball, Football/Soccer matches all available of the light rail. No traffic hassle!! No complaints, really.

Just an ok stay. The hotel is very dated and could use a refresh. There is only
- 3/5
I found the room to be clean, but the amenities were lacking (there was no kettle, for example). It seems like the place is only suitable for sleeping. If you’re traveling with children, it could be difficult if they get hungry at night

Good
- 5/5
We had a great stay. Nice room, super friendly staff. Unfortunately when I went to leave and had a flat tire. The manager and staff were really concerned and did everything they could to support us. I give this hotel an A.
- 3/5
Run down property but staff was great, clean enough and they serve Starbucks coffee
- 5/5
Edward at the front desk was the best I ever had. Service was incredible.
- 3/5
Property pictures on the web were so much nicer. But did a job.
- 5/5
The staff that operate this facility are very helpful and responsive to guests needs. It is rare that I see this level of customer care and genuine desire to do what can be done to assist the traveler with their needs. I highly recommend it for short or long stays.
- 4/5
Hotel was clean, staff was nice, the stay was good. Thought it was a little weird that they had renovation goin on in a room at 9 in the evening on a Friday night. Doesn’t bother me but the workers permeated the hallway with the smell of marijuana, there were lots of underage kids there due to multiple youth sports tournaments going on in the area.Again doesn’t bother me but I know lots of people are not ok with that sort of thing.

It was clean and most of the staff were friendly and accommodating. Towels were provided at pool. TV was easy to use. Enjoyed convenience to light rail station and convenience to other restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations, etc. There was one staff member who I had tried to order breakfast with and had questions, but was having trouble communicating with and getting my questions answered. I was told one thing by one staff, but then she told me something else. Prices for breakfast were a bit much also. Situation was frustrating so I decided to grab breakfast elsewhere. The pillows aren’t comfortable. The toilet clogged up and I barely used it! Shower curtain doesn’t keep in water very well, so water splashed all over the floor when I took a shower. There were puddles everywhere in the bathroom floor—even by the toilet. Also, the shower squeals. The windows must be really thin because I could hear the cars passing by on Alderwood…and I was on the 4th floor. I got a room very very far away from the elevator and since there was no trolly available to carry my stuff up with to my room, I had to carry my stuff w/o. The hot tub was more lukewarm than anything, could have been warmer. Not the worst experience, but not my favorite either, especially for the price.

Was given a room that was not cleaned at check in. Had to go all the way back down and get another room. Walking by the pool the smell is so strong it can knock you out. The hallways and room has a foul smell. Toilets are so low to the ground, that they are meant for kindergartners. Horrible parking. Definitely will not stay here again.
- 5/5
Clean rooms and friendly staff.
- 3/5
The room might need remodeling
- 5/5
Loved the gift wrapping area for the holidays

- 5/5
Everything about this place has been fabulous. Nice room, clean room, very friendly and helpful staff, beautiful pool and hot tub with really warm water, a bar with knock your socks off drinks, a bistro with great food. I am enjoying every minute of my stay. Thank you Courtyard by the Marriot for a wonderful Christmas get away! MERRY CHRISTMAS!
- 5/5
In town for event in Seattle and this hotel was close to train, shopping , and food. Front desk very friendly, as well as all others we encountered. Will stay again
- 4.5/5
Staff was great. The accomidations were clean and comfortable. They were also great with our small dog. The Bistro was a little overpriced but the food was good.

The room that we booked did not exist when we turned up. The hotel promised a refund but they are not responding to emails, and neither is booking.com. Complete scam.

The rom was comfortable. The front desk and management were excellent to deal with.

Parking easy. Very clean. Friendly, helpful, efficient staff.
- 3/5
It was all fine. Just standard room, clean, friendly. Nothing horrible. Nothing spectacular.
- 4/5
Parking was horrible. They were doing some remodeling but still.
- 5/5
Professional staff, quiet, easy access, comfortable.
- 4/5
Clean but outdated rooms. Very close to the Lynnwood train station, making it easy to go into Seattle to watch Football/baseball games
- 5/5
It is easy access to I'5 and the 405 freeways. Speedy check-in, friendly and professional. The housekeeping of the rooms were above and beyond. The rooms are spacious with a relaxing atmosphere. We like staying there. This is our choice when we come for a visit.
- 4/5
It was convenient and the staff were very friendly and helpful
- 5/5
I stay at this property often while traveling for work. My stays have been excellent.
- 5/5
The only location that we use when in Lynnwood.
- 5/5
Great location for us to visit family in apartment building right next door. We had the train to Seattle in walking distance so we didn't have to fight traffic into the city. Room was clean and comfy. Area was great.
- 5/5
Amazing service . Great location . Friendly staff. Very affordable price!
- 5/5
Our room was clean, spacious, and convenient to the light rail. Staff was very helpful and attentive. Great place to stay when in the area
- 5/5
Roofing noise and Fire Alarm testing was annoying...but other than that a thumbs up place
- 5/5
The staff is always friendly and efficient. Check-in is a breeze. This last stay, they were repairing the roof which limited parking, but it was only a small inconvenience
- 5/5
Great stafff. Very friendly.
- 4/5
Convenient for link light rail. Nice staff.
- 5/5
Very accommodating
- 5/5
Clean room
- 3/5
The stay was Okay.
- 5/5
The only feedback I’d give is that the rooms could use an upgrade or refresh to match the modernness of the downstairs entry/breakfast area. The rooms seem a bit dated, however the mini-fridge and microwave were perfect for our stay. The bathroom doesn't have an exhaust fan so lots of moisture in our room after our whole family had showers. The 12pm checkout was really appreciated since our flight didn’t leave til late and so that gave us extra time in our room to relax before making our way to SeaTac. We will 100% stay again and would recommend the hotel.

Nice property. Furniture could be updated but good for a business trip.
- 4/5
I liked how close it was to Sound Transit. Made it easy to travel to downtown Seattle without having to drive.
- 2/5
Parking was limited. Room dated. Friendly staff
- 5/5
Was good could be better, very good staff they take care of everything in snap of the finger, they need expand their food and kitchen items and perhaps buffet breakfast some innovation perhaps, good location to get public transportation to downtown Seattle.Lynwood itself was awesome place clean safe nice people.
- 2/5
Staff at the front desk were friendly, and checking in was easy. Location was great, close by the light rail station and restaurants. Other than that, the property is a dump! Same quality as motel 6. This property should not have the Marriott name on it. The room that I was staying in was very old and bathroom was dirty. I had to wipe some pink water stains off the shower walls (I always carry Clorox wipes when traveling), and sink. And the room reeked like cigarette smoke! I got in very late, was too tired to complain, and to ask for a different room. I only stayed for two days, and I will not be staying there again in the future.
- 5/5
The bar tender was fantastic.
- 3/5
They had amenities that were not fully available to the guests.
- 4/5
Outdated rooms and room smells like old stench. Carpet smelled like old wet carpet.
- 3/5
The negative is The room is very outdated, the wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling, and it looked very outdated, the bathroom tub looked old. The AC unit was very loud and made it hard to sleep. Personally, I could just stay there again
- 1/5
The room did not have any AC or fresh air exchange. When I took a shower the humidity only made the room worse. The bed had long red hair in it and it was not very comfortable. Ice Machines.

- 4/5
Staff was friendly. Rooms were clean enough. Traffic noise could be heard in the room but the fan drowned it out.
- 2/5
The property is very tired. Water pressure in the showers was weak, almost like a squirt gun at best. Toilet made sounds like it was in agony. Worse of all the smell of urine in the bathroom. This applied to both rooms which we used for three nights.
- 5/5
Room was clean - entire staff was very friendly. Thank you much. Doug & Lisa Forrest
- 4/5
My bathroom had hairs all over it. There were long hairs in the tub and there were a lot of *short* hairs all over the shower walls. There was also orange mildew in the shower.
- 4/5
Great place to stay if you are looking to stay just outside downtown Seattle. Staying downtown can get quite expensive and this is an easy train ride away. The light rail station is right outside the hotel and the best way to get to and from downtown. Also parking is free which is an added bonus. Would recommend!
- 4/5
quite dated but clean
- 2/5
expensive, fitness facility small and poorly maintained. just poor value for money
- 5/5
It was convenient and safe feeling. Quiet also.
- 5/5
Room service
- 5/5
Stayed for a weekend of ball for the Mariners. Light rail right there to take you to the stadium. Time and money saver.
- 5/5
The breakfast has to pay on now
- 2.5/5
included would be better, and the muffins were inedible and sticky sweet. Coffee meh.
- 5/5
Super fast, friendly check in and a great property conveniently located near amenities and shopping.
- 5/5
Great spot for a big group and awesome location for taking train downtown. Would definitely stay again
- 5/5
The room layout was weird..not very comfortable. Could be rearranged in a better way. Sheets were clean. Bed was decent...not to soft, not to firm. Hot tub was hot!
- 5/5
Great staff and great experience
- 1/5
The customer service was terrible. No sense of urgency for the customer. It was quick taco bell kind of service where they make you feel like just another transaction. The property itself is very dirty nothing like the pictures shown. Landscaping was gross and made you feel like you were in a desert. Grass was all dry, yellow, and dead. The pool area never had towels available. Water was everywhere outside the pool and hot tube area in an excessive manner. Trim around the pool area was missing or rotting. The pool and hot tube water was so dirty it looked like people showered in it and peed in it. We let the staff know it smelled gross and was no clean but of course nothing was done. We were told breakfast lasted until 10 but by 9 it was closed off. Even the day we got there early, it was messy and un appetizing. We didnt get any room service on lur 2 night stay. All "premium" hotels have given us room service even with only 2 nights stay. So if youre okay with motel quality, then this place may work for you.
- 5/5
Overall for the price the hotel was great! I really enjoyed the bed as it was comfy and I was able to get a good nights sleep. The location is great for what I needed. I suppose I should of mentioned I had a vehicle but also would of been nice at check in to be asked. As I later realized I needed a parking pass. Last I did see the layout of the room and didn’t think I’d mind but I wasn’t a fan of the bed being parallel to the tv.
- 1/5
Room was a big disappointment. Had to call Service Tech due to the vibration. Noise of the air conditioner was so loud. It would’ve been impossible to sleep. Carpets were filthy in room. Refrigerator would not work and found it was not plugged in and someone had removed the cover plate From the wall socket. Extremely heavy chlorine smell permeates the check-in area as indoor pool is down the hall.
- 3/5
The tv was low and along one side of the bed. The person on the other side of the bed can't see it. The elevator is slow as molasses.
- 5/5
Had a problem with first room and upgraded to suite
- 5/5
Amazing and comfortable
- 4/5
We played games in our room with the kids and it was late, and they called and asked us to be quiet. Didn’t realize it was so late we were having fun with our friends in from out of town and playing heads up with our kids. So yah oops but it all worked out and they were kind. <3 pool and hot tub too..
- 4/5
We had a mishap during our stay but they were nice and dealt with it promptly
- 5/5
Amazing staff and a great stay!
- 5/5
Nice stay.
- 3/5
The soap and shampoo dispensers in the shower were empty and never refilled. Room service was very late in coming .
- 3/5
Bed was comfortable but it is a basic hotel. The pool and jacuzzi was closed most of our stay.
- 5/5
Always good costumer service
- 5/5
It was really amazing my family had so much fun swimming and eating and just being together very peaceful thank you so much.
- 5/5
great front desk staff and service. the 7:30 am fire alarm was disrupting, but that was not the staffs fault---they readily offered free coffee etc to mitigate the disruption.
- 3/5
The staff was amazing and super nice! The hotel lobby is really nice but the rooms need updated big time. The rooms are very small, with the king bed and pull out couch there's almost no room to move. There was something wrong with the ac in our room and it got a bunch of our clothes/bags wet and there was a large wet spot on the carpet. We didnt discover it until shortly before we left, but did report it to the desk. Showers were meh, not much pressure and definitely need the caulking redone.
- 5/5
Very friendly and helpful staff
- 4/5
The staff was very friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
The receptionist is way too awesome
- 4/5
The room had a funny odor. The heater was blowing cold air and making noise rattling noise for hours. The people were very friendly, and it was generally clean in the room. The exercise room had good equipment.
- 3/5
Needs updating in the rooms. Handicapped accessible room did not have mobility aids in bathroom.
- 3/5
All are good
- 5/5
Very nice and will stay again
- 4/5
I know they said the noise is a factor and the other comments about this Marriott, but it really isn’t reason why it’s not five-star the usual hotel bed stains on certain parts of the sheets overall cleanliness it was up, kept but the stains on the sheets and some of the pillowcases took it down by a star, but overall, it was a good stay to staff was very helpful inconvenient area to be in Close to shopping close to the stores I would stay again
- 5/5
Nice and friendly
- 3/5
I was charged twice for the room.
- 5/5
All good
- 3/5
Near the I-5 and so noisy
- 5/5
The front desk was very helpful, check in was a breeze.
- 4/5
Great place to stay for an event. Well kept property, nice clean rooms and friendly staff. The train across the street is very handy for going into Seattle. The only negative was cold complimentary coffee and even the water for tea was lukewarm. Not a fan of making tea in the room through a coffee maker. Tea drinkers should get an option! But that’s minor details, I would stay here again!
- 3/5
Other than that, is was fine...
- 5/5
We stay at a local hotel with a pool every new years eve so our son can swim and we can have a little staycation. This property was PERFECT!!!! It is close to several restaurants and the new light rail train. It had everything we needed for our stay. The staff was friendly and even our son noticed how nice everything was. We will definitely be back to this property!!!!
- 4/5
Convenient location and clean, but for that price they should include at least a basic breakfast
- 5/5
Will be my goto hotel anytime we’re giing to Seattle sports!
- 5/5
Good value for the price.
- 5/5
Quick easy check in, easy access off the freeway
- 5/5
service good
- 3/5
This needs a complete update.
- 5/5
Great hotel
- 4/5
Our key to enter the back door after parking was not working. Told the staff on Friday and for 3 days nothing was done. It was inconvenient for us to walk All the way to front door to enter
- 4/5
Staff was friendly
- 4/5
The locks on my door didn’t work well, the carpeting in my room was filthy, and had sticky spots. No one bothered to empty my room garbages, so had garbage piled up when I left. But it was close to the light rail, and the staff made the stay really comfortable.
- 3/5
It was a very convenient location and it was nice that parking was included. Only stayed one night so wasn’t really able to check out other amenities to comment.
- 5/5
Cool staff
- 5/5
Very comfortable!
- 4/5
Parking spots are small. Larges trucks may find it difficult to park.
- 1/5
I literally moved the bed sheets and sat on the bed for 1 hour before leaving to meet up and stay with friends.
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff. Breakfast shop in lobby, lots of people were eating there. Smelt delicious unfortunately we didn’t get a chance to eat there.
- 5/5
Excelente servicio desde que llegas muy amable el personal!! Precios razonables y el servicio excelente!!
- 5/5
Very friendly staff
- 5/5
Staff was friendly and customer service oriented!
- 5/5
I like this place thou and will consider staying here again if going to Seattle overnight next time.
- 5/5
Friendly staff and clean and comfortable room. The light rail station is right across the street for an easy way into downtown. I didn’t use them, but they had an indoor pool/hot tub and a fitness room.
- 2/5
Older hotel with a smell inside the room. Don’t stay here to expect a 4* at all.
- 5/5
Great staff, very attentive, nice pool, basic B gym.
- 1/5
Pet fees were almost as expensive as the room itself. Ridiculous. Sort it out, Marriott.
- 4/5
It was alright good if you are visiting Seattle
- 2/5
I want to support hotels that value employees. While there is a sign on the mirror in the bathroom stating we pride ourselves on keeping your room tidy, house keeping was non existent. Their idea of house keeping is to clean the room between guests. I don't go to a hotel and expect to have to make my own bed, or change my towels. I'm tired of hotels that charge high rates and then don't hire people to support the clientele. The hallways and elevator were dirty. The ice makers didn't work. Granted, when I brought all this up at check out, they gave me a discount, but it doesn't prove they're going to change their ways. I won't stay here again.
- 4/5
But the rooms were cleandatrd but very clean and the front desk staff were terrific and the restaurant staff were amazing. Thank you
- 3/5
My room was to be refreshed and when I returned at 4PM it was not complete. I noted this to the manager at the desk and at 6PM someone stopped to make up our room. By this time, I had already "made: our room up.
- 4/5
Free parking
- 2/5
I don’t think they vacuum. Someone other guest with black socks left lint all on the carpet. Room didn’t look very clean. Tv didn’t work. Hotel was very old. Rooms seem to have been partially renovated
- 3/5
When we arrived in our room, we found a piece of broken glass on the floor. Very concerning as we were in a dog friendly room - our puppy could have easily found and swallowed. We were not aware of the USD$100 pet fee. We were not told about this fee when checking in and were only advised after our card had already been charged. Hotel is older and definitely needs some maintenance, but the bed was comfy. 20 minutes from downtown Seattle which is great. Due to the surprise charge and glass, I don’t think we will go back.
- 3/5
update
- 5/5
We’re low maintenance. This was easy to get to and convenient location for our visit.
