The only other thing I would have totally utilized is a microwave: (there is no breakfast), but it's okay bc I put things in the mini fridge & had cold breakfast instead :) I am phobic about BUGS & I didn't see a single ONE! (WOOHOO!) Thank you, Tuscan Garden Inn

Great location, grounds are quiet and walking distance from downtown LA. LOVE that parking is free. The A/C broke down on us and did not see maintaince come to fix during our stay, office staff was informed multiple times and on our last day a new office staff member was very helpful and offered to move us to another room.

This is a utilitarian motel experience and there are homeless populations in the streets nearby which can be a surprise if you're not familiar with Californian cities, but I came out of my stay very glad to have found it.

Loved the room it was clean, the air was working perfectly and parking was great. Loved that we had a mini fridge that we were able to put our beverages in and they had seating areas outside which was great to eat at.

The room was fine, and the bed was very comfortable. The sad thing was the neighborhood. The surrounding neighborhood was full of the homeless with tarps up, living on the street. It was ok to stay the night after the LA Sparks game and leave early in the morning for home. I don't think I would stay again.

Over the phone they were not very helpful at all and they didn't give me complete information regarding their being a deposit of $50 cash so when I showed up with just my money

Clean rooms, comfy beds, easy access to parking. And there was good a/c. But dont forget you are in the middle of downtown LA. Easy place to find and lots of places to go.

Check in took a long time - there was one person working and 3 groups ahead of us. The mattress was ok, but definitely not great. But the comforter didn’t look very clean. They only had a “all-in-one” type soap dispenser in the shower, not separate shampoo, conditioner, etc. And the lotion by the sink was half empty. No breakfast, but that was expected since the listing said it wasn’t available. It was also very loud - lots of people yelling in the middle of the night waking me up. Overall not great, and I will stay somewhere else next time.

A bit dated, the AC worked fine and could use an update or cleaning because it was kind of loud. The only thing missing in the room was a microwave but there was a communal one in the lobby you can use. Other than that, the location was good for our needs and the staff was lovely and helpful.

Our room was infested with Roaches! We told the gentlemen at the front desk and showed him pictures we took of the roaches crawling in our room. He stated there was nothing he can do, unless I wanted to pay to upgrade the room... excuse me? Its the hotel fault its infested, not mine. I should not have to pay to "upgrade" out of a roach infested room.

Right in the heart of downtown staff friendly and free parking

The front desk staff was friendly and welcoming! That mattered to me, since we were travelling to LA for a special occasion. The room was very clean! The air conditioning was a bit loud, but we found a lower setting for the fan the next night, and it was comfortable. There is free coffee in the mornings. Thank you for being an awesome part of our son's graduation!

Do not stay here. Loud music on 2 nights - no sleep. bugs in the room. No coffee at the office. terrible neighborhood. I had to check out early to get a good night's sleep. The hotel refused to refund the night I did not stay there. How can someone have such a bad experience andf then the hotel gives them the finger?

We selected this hotel because it was located where we needed to be, near downtown Los Angeles. And it didn't cost us a lot. The desk clerk was very helpful when we checked in, the beds were very comfortable and we got a good night's sleep. The property itself was a bit worn down.

Parking is a bit tight. Rooms were ok, beds were a bit firm for my liking but ok. Rooms were clean. We had to call for towels and the tv did not work. Down fall, stay up stairs because you hear everything going on upstairs.

There should be more transparency on the locations policy's, I understand that they have guidelines that they need to follow, but I would like to be made aware of those in advance so I can be more prepared and less surprised when you check in. Other than that it was good and clean.

The room wasn’t bad, and the person who checked us in was great. However I highly recommend to not leave valuables in your car or park on the street. There were a lot of homeless in that area. Other than that it was fine.

They are a typical California run property. Do not expect any extras or benefits and check-in was very long and miserable. The rooms are what you get cost wise. And it’s California so every area is shady. But if you’re going to crypto Arena, it’s a cheap stay and worth it.

the mattress were horrible one bed was hard and other one was uncomfortable you could feel the springs after sleeping for 3 nights my back was killing me. bathroom was moldi it had nasty smells i had to open the window. i wouldn't recommend this hotel to anybody.

False advertisement the rooms do not look as advertise. Old furniture; floors that creek; you have to go over to housekeeping to get an iron; the remote for the TV is checked out and checked back in at the lobby office; the cleaning staff was super nice, but the lobby staff we’re a bit rude. The rating set exceptional and it is not exceptional. It’s slightly below average I would never book there again.

Front desk staff was very friendly. Room was clean and everything worked. Only minor gripe is that you can hear the neighboring rooms water running and toilet flushing. The property was great, I stayed here while on a solo trip and it felt safe. Front staff are super helpful in helping you navigate transportation or helping getting transportation for the airport. I will say that there are a few homeless people around but none are on the property so you will feel safe. Overall I had a wonderful stay here and would definitely stay here again!

This has been I think my 4th or 5th time staying here and it’s always great and easy and in a great area where there’s things all around to walk to! Thank you to staff that make checking in and out easy!

Staff was very friendly and helpful. We just had to have our cable box replaced which was a little awkward and there was no hair dryer but all in all not a bad stay. Would stay again.

Good thing it was close to the areas we were going and Crypto arena. Some of the bad things are that wifi was slow, our room was by the cleaning room which we could hear all the noises, vending machines would only accept ones, and deposit was only cash which we had to use the atm.

Front desk worker was awful when we checked in, we had called to ask about an early check in and when we got here she made us feel like we were dumb for even asking. She was working the front desk at 2 o clock on the 11th, just wasn't welcoming or nice at all.

They did allow me to park my trailer there. I really appreciate it. But very noisy neighborhood

Staff at the front desk was very friendly when I needed more towels. I got them swiftly, gray parking on site despite the homeless encampment on the side of the block it’s a decent place to stay.

Room was in good condition for our one night stay; no complaints there. Staff made check in and check out easy; parking lot is small but seems to be just enough for the amount of rooms in the building. Only thing we found “wrong” was the shower, the window was difficult, it was stuffy and humid even with cold showers, and we couldn’t open it to allow fresh air in, but mainly the shower curtain, maybe just our room- but the curtain didn’t cover full length and had to hold it to avoid water spilling out the sides. Other than that, this place was convenient distance from universal studios and Dodger park (what our itinerary consisted of).

The property and staff are awesome and do a great job. We stayed last year for the first time and loved it. When we came this year though, we were awefully suprised at how bad the area had gotten within a single year. The hotel itself feels okay safety wise, but the area at night was not great. Nothing the hotel can do about that though.

The dude that work nights is cool but that lady with the glasses said i cant come back to there property because some body said that they smell smoke in my room when im not there i have not smoke honestly i tell her lets go see how it smells like now she tell me its going to smell like the oils i got plug up so how do if smell like smoke she profiled me period and days of hate is old

The price was reasonable, but if we'd needed more than a place to crash for the night we would've asked for a refund and found something else The staff was nice, but despite the ad saying there'd be coffee and breakfast, none were provided. This is my go to place for dodger stadium of Crypto. Kind of a bad area but I feel safe here

Average for a cheaper hotel. Room was ok and bed seemed clean. Some of the shower towels were so over used they were ripping though. Staff was nice but I did not like that I wasn’t told that deposit was cash only and I had to use their ATM which charges fees.

It was OK and convenient to the Fencing tournament, but very little hot water, and no breakfast.

A hidden piece of paradise

The drawbacks: I had NO internet the entire five days I was there. This was a huge problem. I let someone know and they said they would reset the router, but I never got access. Also, the jets in the tub randomly turned on every night at like 11:00 pm for no reason, so that was annoying having to get out of bed to shut them off. Some good, some bad. I'd definitely stay again if the internet issue was resolved, but as it is right now, I won't be back, which is a shame!

The beds were horrible. Very uncomfortable felt like I was sleeping on a box spring. Shower heads were bad there was barely any water coming out of the shower head. This is good for a in an out stay.

I would advise the property to work out a partnership where the streets outside its building are cleaned because it does affect the hotel. Additionally, as of Feb 2025, I hope they do not ask other guests to get cash from the ATM for their room deposits.

Property was good for a few days stay. Worth the money but not any place I’d take someone to impress. Place was relatively clean but the best part was their customer service. I had issues with my card because I live out of state but they were very understanding and patient while I figured it out.

My partner and I may have only stayed at the hotel for a short time, but it was very comfortable. I loved the bathroom and the beds were nice and fresh to sleep in. All the included appliances worked well, except for one lamp, but again we weren't there for long, so we didn't mind. And the staff were very respectful and kind when we first came in. A good 9/10 from me.

Very affordable , had the minimalist things that we needed, loved that! A lot of parking , saved us so much money, extremely helpful with a newborn. Traffic is a problem everywhere in LA but that's expected, absolutely will come back!

I read the others reviews and I was worried. I am glad I came the lady at the front desk was so helpful and nice. The room was big with a mini fridge and very comfortable bed m6 room was clean and housekeeping stopped by everyday to see if I needed anything . There's a bus stop nearby grocery store close by and it's in walking distance of los Angeles convention center. I felt very safe

One night stay over the weekend. The hotel staff were very nice and were able to answer all my questions about the hotel and local things to do. The room was good and clean, slightly dated with fresh towels, brand new toiletries, hot water, and a mini fridge. Parking seems limited but we got in late and were able to get a spot in the lot, there is street parking for free. The only catch was a $50 deposit required by the hotel. I would stay here again, close to popular tourist areas.

This is my 2nd time for a 3 nights stay in this place. Very clean, convenient location . Bus 28 nearby take you direct to downtown live LA. Super market and many dinning options within few minutes walking distance. Will come back again next time when I’m in the LA convention center area. .

Our room did not have Kleenex nor shampoo. We didn’t have enough towels for three people, so I had to get them. The desk lamp did not work. We were told there was Wi-Fi, but it just wouldn’t connect so we cannot work on our computer and we used our data plan on the phone to do leisure reading. Overall l think it is a good stay but will probably not return to the hotel for next visit because the neighborhood is interesting but I was a bit worried when I walked in the neighborhood with my husband in the afternoon. Ok if you drive to the Korean restaurant in the neighborhood.

Staff was amazing. The bathroom was a bit dirty. Parking is tight. It met our needs.

I booked this because I had a concert at The Novo. When driving up to it I was nervous because the area is rough but thats Downtown LA. I was so happy with this stay. My room was beautiful, clean and comfortable. I had the jacuzzi room and it is big. The property is beautifully updated. To be aware that you can only have one car on property so that was very inconvenient because we had drove in separately.

Excellent place for the price. People should be prepared to back out in reverse when the parking lot gets packed. I had a wonderful stay, thank you.

Close proximity to USC and the interior is in excellent condition.
