As we entered the facility, the parking lot is very secure. That was exciting that it has a gate. We walked through the doors and it smells wonderful very clean atmosphere. The staff was very helpful. I needed a steamer as well as a makeup mirror and they offered that which was fantastic. Breakfast was very minimal however it was perfect. I will definitely recommend this best friends and family and I will stay here again.

First, there is no breakfast... there is 1 danish, exactly 1 per person, coffee, tea, and water + ice that is it!!!!! There is NO breakfast! They charge you 150$ as a deposit, which is NOT announced anywhere, and then you have to wait who knows how long to receive it back... AC is too noisy! Elevator broke, coffee machine was broken, but filtered coffee was ok. After the coffee machine was fixed, the coffee is terrible, really bad coffee!

Convenient location, quiet, and safe. The property uses air fresheners throughout the property that are very strong. That’s the only thing I’d change.

The room was super clean, and in fact, staff was nice, but, they charged me extra 150US$ for absolutely no reason! And the breakfast was NOT breakfast, was not even continental breakfast - it was a single danish! One danish and that they called it breakfast! And yes, only one per person!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I DO NOT recomend, and it seems like Hotels.com is becoming bad to use! Information is not accurate for charges and amenities.

Was a bit off of downtown which allowed for less noise and because we walked most of the time was convenient.

Very quiet, spacious room. Hotel front desk spoke very little English, and was very difficult to communicate. I have made and paid through booking.com and Hotel still charged me again on my credit card. Going through my bank to dispute the transaction as hotel has not gotten back to me or confirm my payment details. Very ghetto area, had multiple cars being repaired on in front of the hotel entrance

Coffee and hot chocolate machine in the lobby available throughout the day up until 10pm and fresh baked goods in the morning. This is really out the way from all the hotspots however this is reflected in the price

The front desk person, Brisa’s was charming and very helpful. The location was not conducive for a walker. There was free parking if you have a car. The transit connections were a bit of a walk and there was not much around for coffee, wine, meals, groceries etc.

Comfortable bed, well-designed room and hotel, clean bathroom, lovely staff, gated parking was awesome. The location is close to DTLA, the property is really well-maintained, highly recommended. The surroundings can be a bit sketchy, especially at night, but it’s LA problem, nothing the hotel can do.

Being very picky, only one choice of savoury breakfast croissant (ham and cheese) got a bit boring after a few days, though I guess I could have switched to one of the sweet options!

Very, very clean and well-kept. It also smelled great from the moment I stepped in. The rooms are simple and comfortable. I felt entirely safe in the hotel and appreciated the secure parking. The staff member I interacted with was very friendly. I’d definitely stay here again. It was a great value. The only thing that could be improved, and it really doesn’t impact my view of the hotel, is a better selection of tv channels.

The building is super modern, clean, & well-decorated. Our room was extremely comfortable & smelled amazing! The lobby area was quaint but had everything we needed for our brief stay. Nothing! It was perfect!

Location was easy, room was clean and nice, everything worked fine, people were super nice. Great setup and great value.

Breakfast was OK -- pastries and nice options plus free coffee anytime. Lobby closes at 10 -- so you're on your own. But that's the idea of the hotel; so no surprises. The only real drawback is that there's not much within walking distance, food or cafes or anything like that. You have to walk a good 25-30 minutes to get to a decent hanging neighborhood. But that's refelected in the rates.

This is my second time staying at The Metric and it did not disappoint. The are always so kind there, even allowing early check-in for my boyfriend and I, and the room is always so clean and welcoming and the perfect place after a long drive or flight. We will definitely make this our go-to spot when stay in LA!

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in quite a while. The staff was amazing, very helpful. The rooms were clean. The hotel appears to be new. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and if I’m ever in the area again, I would definitely stay here without a doubt.

One thing to note is that all communication is handled via email—there’s no way to call the front desk directly. While everything went smoothly, this might be something to consider depending on your preferences. Despite that, I truly enjoyed my stay and would definitely return. We had a great experience staying at the Metric! The hotel was modern, clean, and comfortable. Virtual checkin was great, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The location is central to many things like crypto stadium, USC, and lots of great food. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Great stay but the AC didn’t have a constant fan. So at night, the room got stuffy Queen the temp dropped and the AC didn’t kick in. Otherwise it’s a great hotel.

We were looking to stay somewhere close to Downtown/Dodger Stadium. I booked a room at the Metric. The hotel definitely lived up to its reviews. The staff was amazing. The check in was simple. Everything was new. The room were very nice. Our stay definitely exceeded my expectations. On our next trip to LA we will stay here again!

Good place for short stay in LA. Nicely designed urban cool vibe. Clean, good security, nice staff attitude. Limited facilities, basic amenities but reasonable prices and way nicer than the usual chain hotels at that price point! Area is close to downtown but not a great walking area.

Hidden gem of a hotel amongst all the high name brand hotels out there. Convenient location to many things in LA and I love the small/convenient gated parking on site. I would highly recommend for any couples traveling to LA. I would go back no questions asked.

I booked my son a hotel here for a few days and unfortunately his flight was delayed. He had called ahead of time to let them know of the change. When he landed, he went straight to the hotel and his coworkers needed to use the restroom, so they attempted to go upstairs to his room. He called me and told me the lady Robin "the manager" who had opened the building immediately called his room and threated to have him kicked out and his coworkers if they didn't leave immediately. I wasn't aware that a person couldn't have someone up in their room to handle their business after a long flight. Needless to say, this lady was not just profiling but also left a note at the front desk advising them to keep an eye on my son. This was absolutely the worst part of their stay and as a mother this made me worry more because I didn't know what was going to happen. I do NOT recommend this hotel and whomever this lady is needs to stop judging a book by its cover! You're part of the problem in this world!!! For the amount of money paid I wish I would have booked somewhere else. Waste of money and respect! I just called too, and she was extremely rude to me and belittling. I asked her who the owner was, and she told me she was and even lied saying he had 4 people with him. She should be ashamed of herself the way she spoke to me if she is the manager, they seriously need to replace her. Her customer skills are nonexistent. I hope that call was recorded because she lacks professionalism.

He called me and told me the lady Robin "the manager" who had opened the building immediately called his room and threated to have him kicked out and his coworkers if they didn't leave immediately. I wasn't aware that a person couldn't have someone up in their room to handle their business after a long flight. Needless to say, this lady was not just profiling but also left a note at the front desk advising them to keep an eye on my son. This was absolutely the worst part of their stay and as a mother this made me worry more because I didn't know what was going to happen. I do NOT recommend this hotel and whomever this lady is needs to stop judging a book by its cover! You're part of the problem in this world!!! For the amount of money paid I wish I would have booked somewhere else. Waste of money and respect! I just called too, and she was extremely rude to me and belittling. I asked her who the owner was, and she told me she was and even lied saying he had 4 people with him. She should be ashamed of herself the way she spoke to me if she is the manager, they seriously need to replace her. Her customer skills are nonexistent. I hope that call was recorded because she lacks professionalism.

We really enjoyed our stay at the metric. Easy to locate. Parking was enclosed behind a gate. The hotel staff was friendly. And it was very clean. Definitely will stay again !

Beautiful little hotel, very modern and cute. I would recommend someone to stay here. The ONLY thing that threw me off was the intense smell of air fresheners. It was so intense it gave me a headache. There’s no reason for it to smell that intense. If they tone down the smell, it’s the perfect hotel to stay at.

This accommodation is NOT for anyone who likes independence and privacy. It is more for back packers. There are no facilities for making tea or coffee in the room. You have to wait until 7am when the office is open to make a cup of coffee-get dress and go down to the office and get it. The free pastries, were the same ones left over for the three days we were there, so dry and stale by the time we left. The coffee comes out of a machine and was not hot by the time you get back to the room. The area around the accommodation, we were told by receptionist that it was safe at night to go out - She did say she lived in the area for the last 30 years -so yes it probably was safe for her- but for elderly or new people to the area, we did not want to risk it. You need a car to get to this hotel there is no direct train or bus transport, Taxi, $100 American to get to it, and get out at night to any eating places. The food in the takeaway shops is not worth buying. We could not even make a sandwich in our room as when I asked for a knife at reception, was advised, "we don't have knives here". The cleaner was the only person who was pleasant, and she certainly does keep the place clean. I am still waiting for the iron-which when I asked for it was advised "we don't like to clutter the rooms, so we keep things to a minimum. We paid twice the price via hotels.com than this accommodation has it advertised for. And yes the accommodation price charged by the Metric was still overpriced.

I had to do a late check-in and was provided great service with directions on how it all worked. From the moment you walk in and through the room, everything was clean! I love the two bath mats - very helpful in a spacious bathroom (like the nightlight, too). Comfortable bed, and the morning pastry hit the spot! Would definitely stay again!

I think this is a great place to stay when you want to be close to a couple of different areas in LA. We've now stayed twice when needing to be in DTLA but also close to Silver Lake and Echo Park. The only downside here is there are very few amenities (no gym, no bar/restaurant, etc) but it's a very large room that's clean and quiet, and they do provide breakfast pastries with tea and coffee throughout the day in the lobby. I would suggest they offer a gluten-free option though. The staff is very friendly and overall this place is a great hotel for those who are spending more time out and about but want to have a quiet, safe hotel to return to.

It was so noisy the room comes with a white noise machine on 24/7 in the room. Crazy load outside and guests. No ablilty to get coffee. I was in on business 7 am too late for my start time

Great hotel not far from DTLA. We arrived early and were greeted by a very friendly check in team. They let us park there whilst we went to Universal. Will definitely be back in the near future and recommend highly.

Great gem in the middle of the concrete jungle. The rooms were impeccably clean, with minimalistic modern furnishings. If you are a bad sleeper and picky about beds like me, you will be pleasantly surprised by the incredible mattress provided in these rooms. The pillows and bed were heavenly. My only gripe is that the rooms could use a small couch or a love seat to relax in. This hotel is compact due to its location so if you don’t plan on spending a day in relaxing and instead just need a place to sleep and unwind at night then I wholeheartedly recommend The Metric.

Cleanest hotel I've ever been at. Front desk was super polite and responsive. Bed was comfortable and bathroom was beautiful. If I planned on staying in the room most of the time, I'd choose a hotel with more/plush seating. For being out much of the day, this hotel was perfect.

Really enjoyed my one night stay. Easy to find. Prepaid parking was simple. Front desk staff were professional. Room was very clean and had everything I would need. I was impressed overall.

The Metric was a great place to stay, centrally located to downtown and the Echo Lake neighbourhood. Check in and parking were very easy. The room was very nice and had everything we needed. Great to be able to grab a coffee each morning!

Hotel is a little out of the way and the aircon is noisy and ineffective. I stayed in 4 different hotels during this trip and this was the only one to claim to be unable to provide daily housekeeping due to Covid - more of an excuse to cut cost.
