I loved the location and the area. The bed was uncomfortable. Then one of the elevators broke and the others were constantly skipping the 11th floor or was too full once the doors opened. I tried using the stairs but there was no way to access any of the other floors from the stairwell and I had to go all the way down to the street level to get back up to the restaurant.

It’s right across the metro so it’s really convenient to take a metro to downtown. Staff is really nice and had early check in available. $20 credit was good however it would have been even better if could be used for coffee at Alfred. It’s nice to have shampoo, conditional, shower gel and hand wash provided. Conditions on how to use the $20 credit, bar and restaurant opening hours could have been printed as there was a bit of information to remember by heart. The rooms are extremely dark especially at night. Additional lighting is required. It was better during the day with the blinds opened however one of the rooms I booked faces the swimming pool. When the blinds are open people at the pool could see in which is a bit awkward. I am not sure if central air was used, I could smell stir fry from within my room but I didn’t order stir fry so that’s off putting. The bathroom of one of the rooms I booked has really insufficient shower curtain meaning water continues to come out from shower and caused a puddle in the bathroom. Beds are worn out and not comfortable. No luggage rack available. It doesn’t fit a normal standard of a 4 star hotel. The provided shampoo etc could be in a locked location to prevent the shampoo to be tampered with. Also I’d expect body lotion to be provided in the room of a four star hotel.

The real highlight was the great view of the Hollywood Sign. (When you’re in a high floor to the right side) The Pool ist good, the stuff was nice. Looks better at first glance than it actually is The hotel appears nicer at first sight than it really is. The rooms are quite worn down, with visibly tired surfaces. The windows weren’t properly clean, and there’s almost no way to ventilate the rooms. We stayed in two different rooms, and in both, the air conditioning units smelled extremely musty and didn’t look clean either. I suspect they aren’t serviced regularly — otherwise they wouldn’t smell like that. As a result, the air quality in the room was very poor. I also didn’t like that the entire hotel is carpeted, which makes proper cleaning much harder.

This is my go-to hotel when I go to LA. The location is in Koreatown which fits my needs perfectly. Walking distance to most restaurants I wanted to hit and around 40 mins to LAX. The hotel is nicely maintained and staff is super friendly and efficient. They were able to answer all questions and requests I had. The rooms were very nice and clean. The beds were super comfortable, so after a whole days schedule, I lay down and instantly fall asleep. The bathrooms were probably the only negative. Shower and toilet work fine, but the shower handles were a little bit loose. Nothing major to worry about. The water pressure was great and the amenities was too. Overall, love this hotel and would always recommend to everyone I know.

The views are nice, the design of the rooms is nice, the bed was comfortable and big. There is no parking, only valet parking which I don’t like using since it takes time to get my car, and I like getting out of the hotel quickly. They way you should use $20 credit they give you at their Openair restaurant is very confusing, they should think better about more straightforward way to use it right at the restaurant instead of the lobby. Also, the shower handle was broken, and there is no coffee or tea maker in the room.

Disappointed with this hotel with this price. Not worth! Room is dirty. Very dated with No maintence. Table corner came out. Chairs and side table are dirty with stink mark. No refrigerator. Carpet is old and dirty. Restroom bathtub feels old and the paint from the tub came off. Shower curtain is dirty and looks very dated. Led lights of the morror is broken partially. Ceiling looks waterleaking from the window side. That would be nice if you can add at least a table lamp. Swimming pool looks old style. No vibes at all. Hope this hotel can be work onsthg regarding to the cleaness and maintenence. In the future.

The breakfast was really good, with a great selection, served in a nice atrium. The hotel looks like an old cheap one that was given a partial upgrade and makeover but still has faded carpets, stained drapes and yellowing stucco ceilings. Its on a part of Wilshire that has grafitti, garbage and homeless people, so maybe good for people who want to be in that neighbourhood for nightlife but less so for families with children. For me the worst though was the hidden charges. Parking is an outrageous 66 dollars a night plus tax, which added an extra 25% to our room fee. We also didnt realize that there was an automatic service charge for all room service and restaurant service, and so, because the bill suggested tip amounts for 18%, 20% etc we ended up paying a whopping 35% tip each time, without anyone bothering to inform us at any point that service was included. In brief, I have never felt more ripped off in a hotel in my life.

I don’t think you should charge for valet and make it til based, or have a safe alternative for the guests to park. The valet service is far too expensive considering the small overpriced rooms. I also think you should leave the fridge space empty and only include a few drinks/snacks on top so the guest has a choice to bring their own food or pick out what they want in the fridge. The tvs need to be updated to smart tvs because no one watches cable.

This was our second time staying here and it was good overall. The only complaint was this time we got the room facing the street on the third level and it was VERY noisy as we can hear all the cars outside. Requested to move rooms but they only had one on the 11th floor still facing the street. It was better but wish they had availability for one facing the back like the first time we stayed there. Other than that, everything was good for the price and location.

Loved this Hotel!! Wonderful location, fun hip vibe, very clean and quiet rooms! The Open Aire restaurant in the hotel is phenomenal!! All the staff there is super accommodating especially Fredrick, the manager of the Valet, was so courteous and friendly to my friends who came to pick me up at the hotel and visit me!! One thing I think potential guests should know is that the hotel is often described as “modern,” but I would describe it more as eclectic or industrial-inspired than truly modern. The exposed concrete walls definitely give it character, but if you’re expecting sleek, polished, ultra-modern decor throughout, that’s probably not the best description of the overall aesthetic. The room itself was comfortable and perfectly adequate for the few days we stayed. However, there was visible wear and tear throughout the room. The carpet looked somewhat worn, and personally I’m not a fan of carpet in hotel rooms. I also noticed scuff marks around the closet/storage area and on much of the wood furniture and finishes. None of it ruined the stay, but the room could definitely benefit from some refreshing and cosmetic updates. The only real downside for me was the restaurant food. While the staff there were very kind and attentive, the food felt average for the price point and somewhat overpriced. Overall, I’d still recommend The Line!

Given the hotel’s reputation and 4-star rating, the experience unfortunately fell far below expectations. The bed and sheets felt noticeably cheap and uncomfortable, which significantly impacted the quality of the stay. In addition, the blinds control in the room was not functioning properly, and the bathroom lights were fluctuating/flickering continuously to the point that it became genuinely uncomfortable and concerning from a health and safety standpoint. The room was also dirty as there were uncleaned cob webs/spider webs in the room (Please see the video links enclosed). What was most frustrating, however, was the complete lack of responsiveness from the front desk. I attempted to call multiple times throughout the stay — approximately five separate calls — and no one answered. This made it impossible to have the issues addressed in real time and left me feeling unsupported as a guest. The overall experience became so unacceptable that we ultimately decided to check out early at approximately 8:20 PM rather than continue the stay. Overall, this experience was not befitting of what is advertised as a 4-star hotel

Outside of that the rooms are very dated, dusty and millwork is warping. Rooms and bathrooms are on the small size and they still use shower curtains in the bathroom. With a little lip so your floor is wet when you get out. I don’t know how this is considered a 4 star hotel. It’s hasn’t been worthy of 4 Stars in a long time. Again the Hollywood hills sign view is the only reason we stayed here because nothing else is worth it. But if you ignore everything else and still book make sure you get a high floor.

My stay at The Line Hotel in Koreatown was such a memorable experience. While it was my guest’s first visit to Los Angeles, this was my third trip—but it had been quite a while, so it felt really good to reconnect with the city. There was definitely a learning curve when booking through a third party, but as they say, you learn something new every day! What immediately stood out to me was the hotel’s architecture and design. I truly appreciated how the original mid-century structure was preserved while blending in a modern, creative style. The exposed concrete, open lobby, and energetic atmosphere gave the hotel a unique personality that felt both artistic and welcoming. The lobby was one of my favorite spaces—vibrant, open, and full of character. I also really enjoyed stopping by Alfred Coffee and had an amazing dinner and breakfast at Openaire Restaurant, which felt like a special treat during my stay. My room was comfortable, the bed was cozy, and the view of the Hollywood Hills was beautiful. The natural light pouring into the room made the space feel warm and inviting. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The Line Hotel offers more than just a place to sleep—it delivers style, atmosphere, and a true LA experience. I’d gladly stay again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ---

One of the elevators was out of service during our stay and in our room, some switches didn’t work, the AV connectors for the TV had fallen into the yeah and were unreachable, the shower was dripping. Also $60 for Valet seems like a rip-off.

The hotel itself is very modern, I was a bit nervous with taking our 10, 9, and 7 year old but it was honestly fine. They loved the pool and were able to swim and be happy. I was nervous if people or the staff would complain about kids being kids and having fun but no, they let them play and others swam with them. The only complaint was parking was so expensive, basically another nights stay! But what made it better was the staff all there were quick and polite. I would most likely to stay there again.

I was there for a quick work trip. The restaurant served a delicious breakfast. The pool area was clean. The water was a little bit chilly, but it was February after all. I enjoyed the little bit of sunshine. I could get in my escape from the New England winter. The bar area downstairs was nice. All of the staff were helpful. Overall, it was a great stay. If you are not used to city noises, maybe bring a pair of earplugs if you are also a light sleeper. I was on the 9th floor, but could still hear some cars from the streets. The beds were comfortable. I would definitely stay here again. It is also a walkable area. I felt safe walking around.

The room was clean but the shower experience left me feeling frustrated. Awful water pressure and the shower head seemed like it would pop off at any moment. The room was really cold even with the heat turned on. The view was breathtaking and the staff is wonderful. Lots to do and see within walking distance including many restaurants and shops. Horrible noise outside most of the time in the hotel room. I should have brought earplugs and it’s not really the hotels fault. Sometimes there’s noise and you have to deal with it. Overall I would definitely recommend staying here although I don’t know if I would again in the future. I didn’t get a chance to try the Openaire eatery or the pool. The gym was really really nice! Great view and the gym equipment was really unique and easy to use!

The carpet in the room was stained, and when we requested a coffee maker, we were told that it simply was not available. No alternatives were given. Not even a kettle for tea. The rooms could use some major TLC, ours had a weird odour when we checked in as well. Notably there is nowhere to even hang your hand towel in the bathroom! Upon check out, we were charged an amenity fee 4x. Per their website, this amenity fee supposedly includes a $20 voucher per day for the restaurants, as well as access to a coffee machine. We were advised of neither upon check in, and did not even know there was an amenity fee as this was not communicated. Overall, horrible experience. I have no idea how this hotel is on the Michelin Guide (we normally stay in Michelin Guide hotels - this fell far below). Comparably, our stay at the LAX Hyatt Regency was much better. We will never stay here again. There are so many other, nice hotels in LA with wonderful and comfortable amenities.

I booked this hotel last minute since this is the closest to my house which had an urgent repairs on my bathroom. Need to take a bath before coming to work. The price is too high for me compare to other hotels which is way better for sure since its a 4 to 5 stars hotel located in downtown LA. I regret should have stayed there instead of this very sad vibe hotel. Almost the same price but not equated to size, coziness better lightning etc. And worst of all, I booked this in expedia and surprised to ahve added cost and resorts fee of $30 plus. And worst of all when I checked my bill they added a $10.00 plus tax indicated in the bill as minibar snack which by the way I didnt take any since when i checked in I went to nearby BCD tofu place ordered it to go with drinks. And never go near to the refrigerator. Slept right away after dinner. This makes me even furious of this experience. I will never stay to this hotel and would not recommend to my family and friends. Not worthy of the price especially the added resorts fee!!!! Not even 1/4 of the Las Vegas vibe to be worthy of this resorts fee!!! Truly a bad experience!!!!

The decor is brutalism -- basically just concrete that's supposed to be "cool" but looks cheap and unfinished. The window shade in my room was broken. I couldn't lower it more than halfway. so the light kept me awake half the night and woke me up when I wanted to sleep in. The lighting in the bathroom was also supposed to be "cool" but it was so dark in there I couldn't even put on my makeup. The bathroom flooded while I was out. Came back to a completely wet bathroom floor. This IS NOT A CHEAP STAY -- the prices are exorbitant for what feels like a Motel 6. $150 "deposit" 30 of which they keep for "amenity fees". Over $60 per night for parking. $30 breakfast in their restaurant. This is on top of a $250 per night room. Stay elsewhere.

3 rooms: Broken ac in one, broken heater in one, WiFi didn’t work most of the time, and the drapes were malfunctioning. The hotel did waive the amenity fee and offer room changes but to have so many issues with multiple rooms seems like the hotel is not maintaining the rooms well. It’s also such a hassle to change rooms in the middle of the night and guests didn’t sleep well so I would’ve expected more compensation or apologies but some of the staff seemed almost indifferent - perhaps it’s a common issue?

Great amenities, fun mini bar selection, good food on site, awesome lobby bar bartender, central location, ride share pick up was always fast and convenient from The Line’s location. The decor is interesting but surfaces felt worn down and dinged up. The pool is cold and in the shade most of the time. We came for a wedding held at the nearby Wilshire Ebell. Our one night stay was short but enjoyable, but marred by the $60 parking charge, and an even worse $30 “amenity fee”, the latter a b.s. charge for “access to the gym and pool”. Such a blatant ripoff! I won’t be coming back to The Line Hotel.

This boutique hotel was definitely a vibe. There’s a cafe on the property, which I utilized daily for my morning coffee fix. I love the eco-friendly, modern, minimalistic aesthetic. The hotel was a great value for the money. During my stay, the bar hosted a Deily happy hour, and there was even a book signing event for a local Asian chef. Overall, I very much enjoyed my stay and would return next time I am in LA!

The biggest issue during my stay was the blinds in the room. They are controlled electronically via a wall switch, but they would open and close on their own at random times. The motor that operates the blinds is also quite loud, which made the experience even more disruptive. This made sleeping and changing in the room very difficult. The only way to stop them was by holding down the stop button, but that only paused them temporarily — they would start moving again shortly after. The blinds even opened in the morning while we were still trying to sleep and again after we showered and were getting ready to go out. Some of the furniture in the room was also oddly designed. The standing lamp had a very heavy round concrete base that caused it to lean against the wall, and trying to move or adjust it so it stood straight was nearly impossible. The coffee table looked stylish at first, but its surface was covered with faux wooden “books” (rectangular wooden blocks), leaving almost no flat space. We had to balance drinks either on top of the blocks or between them, which made the table basically useless. Additionally, if you bring your own car, you’re forced to use the valet service — there’s no option for self-parking, which I found inconvenient. Lastly, I requested extra towels during my stay but never received them, which was disappointing and inconvenient.

Worst and nightmare like experience I do not want to stay ever. I have plenty of hotel experiences last 20 years of business and this is the worst hotel I ever had. The hotel looks good at first glance but I wanted to leave this property in the middle of the night. First of all returning after watching soccer game I noticed the heater is not working and the front desk said they do not have time to fix the setting and brought a heater up to my room. Secondly I complained the loud music at nine thirty on Sunday night and they said it’s from a restaurant on the second floor and wait until its closing time at ten. Thirdly I barely remember a hotel not providing hot or cold water. Lastly I spent 55 dollars for valet parking a night which is the only option I have. 55 dollars! Anyway I spent 400 Canadian dollars for this disastrous hotel. There are some good features for this hotel but these unpleasant experiences make me speechless. At the same time I am so disappointed with Expedia not honestly listed regarding this property-loudiness, poor management, and jaw dropping parking fee. I am going to post my experience to Korean site with this property so that I can give someone planning to stay this place some heads up.

My biggest problem is the valet parking. It’s $55 a night plus tax. I don’t mind the charge but they are always busy and rushing you. They get mad if you take too long and seem to always be looking for a tip. If I’m paying for valet parking + tax + tip, I should be able to take my time. We have also had a drunk guest ram our car in their lot during a previous stay. The surrounding area is also dirty. If you are with a pet, be prepared to wash their feet every night. I am not sure if we would stay there again. Perhaps if the price is right and we have an appointment in the area. If you don’t travel with a pet, I would look elsewhere.

I came down from San Francisco and booked this hotel for a friend‘s birthday and on the first night when she checked her bag in with the bellman to keep safe while we check in and get our room, her backpack was stolen because of the negligence of the hotel and the bellman. All of our suitcases apparently were left alone without any supervision, right by the door where anyone could’ve walked in and grabbed any of our stuff. In addition to that the hotel and the staff had zero urgency to help with this incident until we involved our lawyer. That same night when we went upstairs to our hotel, we realized the rooms looked like jail cells, which is not the aesthetic we would ever go for and we found bugs all over the hotel room. The area around the hotel was extremely unsafe considering anyone can walk in and steal things from a very well known 4 star hotel. Would never ever stay here again and this comes from someone living in San Francisco. I’ve seen and experienced unsafe but this was absolutely ridiculous. Definitely would not recommend.

I had a very friendly check-in late in the evening when I arrived from East Coast. The room decor was unusual but really cool - comfortable bed, automated shades. I loved the glamorous pool and greenhouse restaurant.Easy access to lots of hotspots!
