All the front desk girls are super helpful. Emily has always accommodated request. Management is definitely running this establishment wonderfully. 10/10 recommend

This is our favorite go to hotel near our Son and Daughter in law’s home! We come here 2-3 times a year. It is our go to area hotel for sure! Great staff, good pool to cool off in and near several excellent restaurants in the area. A must stay location! Cheers!

The property is old but well located for our needs, the room was clean with a good shower. The beds were saggy, and the entire room vibrates at times.

Very spacious room and the staff was great and responsive. Kudos to the Front Desk as well as housekeeping staff. When some amenities were low (shampoo for example), the staff showed up in the morning to replace it quickly while I was still in-room. Fridge and microwave in the room! As well as a coffeemaker. There is free coffee in the lobby in the mornings, too. I really like that the parking lot is sectioned off from the main street, allowing for non-crowded pickup and dropoff at the hotel. The hotel's Wi-Fi / WiFi network was often disconnecting me, and I wasn't able to stream to my laptop reliably (the bitrate was rather low). If you're planning to work from the room, the property's wi-fi may not be suitable. Shower water pressure is a little on the lighter side (I know this is a personal preference, though, as I like the water pressure to be stronger).

Good parking and it was quiet at night when we slept the two nights. Very reasonable in price. No breakfast but coffee and rolls to go. Had a large tv, working microwave, refrigerator and comfortable bed. Definitely would stay again.

Place was modern and safe, and parking was ample and accessible. Location in Eagle Rock is conveniently close to Glendale, Pasadena and Old Town Pasadena, and Eagle Rock itself has many restaurants. Vending machine only takes bills and a few other things made me award 4 instead of 5 stars in a few categories. But I would stay here again!

Great location for us, we were visiting elderly parents in a skilled nursing facility literally down the street. Also my husband was having a back spasm all the way driving up from San Diego so it was a pleasant surprise to see that jacuzzi. Check in was easy and smooth, the room was large and comfortable in the bed is super comfy ? Well everything was fine they only thing I would have liked was would have been an unobstructed view of the mountains, the front of the hotel blocked part of the but that's not that big of a deal ☺️ I grew up here I've seen them a lot.

Property was kept clean and staffs were kind and amazing at check in. Only complaint is that bathroom! It’s so dang tiny. They really need to remodel it and figure out something. Either take the whole tub out and do a stand up shower only and add sliding doors. Because each time we go in we kept hitting the toilet with the door. And that bathroom fan is ridiculously loud too. Have someone look into that.

Pretty bare bones. Bathroom incredibly dated. Rooms have no central A/C just a huge unit at the window that didn't work consistently, which made night sleep hard as the room was hot and the unit wouldn't turn on, there was no staff around late at night to look into it. Bed and pillows decently comfortable but the temp in the room was a deal breaker. Outlets on nightstand loose/wouldn't make a connection with my plug. Could use refresh to paint, carpets, furniture and bathroom.

Stay here for work purposes, good place, and great centralized spot to access other places in as well as outside of Los Angeles. Room is a good size, clean and comfortable. Bed is very comfortable, refrigerator and microwave made it easy for me. Plenty of choices around to pick up food.

We love this little motel. We stay here whenever we are in the LA area. It is.not fancy but it is very clean and the staff is helpful and friendly.

Always immaculate, I have stayed there multiple times. Easy parking close to my room, excellent location. Refrigerator and microwave in the room. They did away with the free breakfast. A great selection of hot and cold breakfast items. Buffet style. I mistakenly left behind some important paperwork in my room when I checked out. When I contacted them later in the day after I checked out, I was grateful that they saved the documents I had mistakenly left behind. Many thanks to the housekeeper who found them, and turned them in to the office. However they would not do me the courtesy of mailing them to me, unless I sent them a pre-posted envelope to send them to me. At $100 dollars per night, I found this to be petty. Especially since I have stayed with them multiple times, as I have traveled to Los Angeles for surgery and cancer treatment.

Great little hideaway for a stay in LA. The pool and hot tub were great and the staff very friendly. The room included beds and a dining table for four, which is an added bonus.

Just bad customer service. My experience with Emily, the manager was not pleasant. She prefers to loose long term customers rather than make them happy. She made that very clear. Won’t be back. There are other options in the area that are much nicer.

The beds and pillows were very comfortable, the room was very clean and the AC was ok, it took a bit to cool the room down, but once it did, it was nice and cold. The parking lot is big and well lit. The area was nice and quiet, and close to where we needed to go. There is a lot of food options near by that were fantastic!! I would absolutely stay here again!!

Better than the Hampton near LAX. Rooms clean and everything appeared new.

The location of the room and the staff who was very helpful and accommodating. There was no complimentary breakfast that this hotel use to offer for all registered guest. This was the best part of the stay at this location.

It was quite a good hotel compared to other accommodations in the LA area. It is also quite close to Universal Studios—about 15 minutes away with light traffic, or approximately 20 minutes when traffic is heavier.

This hotel is awesome. It’s Symplr with beds sinks bathrooms, clean great TV remote works nice table 2 chairs once Swivl it’s lovely many pillows people at the reception desk very friendly. Every year, I experience the same issue: I cannot watch a movie on the TV for more than five minutes because the internet connection is very poor. In addition, I was informed that starting this year, breakfast is no longer provided. Another major reason I seriously reconsider staying at this hotel is the pillow. It is extremely uncomfortable and has caused me neck pain

The room was in good condition and the staff were friendly. It would be great if the hotel had soft yellow/ warm lightening instead of that hospital white lighting. Be also great if the jacuzzi was hotter and open till 10 or 11pm per guest request. Most hotels have their pool facilities open till at least 10pm. Wish I could have used shampoo to wash but there was very little in the dispensers. I thought the coffee and pastries were a good touch at reception. I think if the hotel did what is recommended here it would be a good to great place to stay. Focus on the small touches and not the bottom line profits and you may see more people.

The staff was friendly, helpful and the room was clean. The fridge wasn’t plugged in do eco friendly issues so I couldn’t use it as it was just a one night stay so my cold items didn’t last but we would stay here again.

We’ve been looking for a good motel with reasonable rates in this area. This is the third we’ve tried and our favorite. My only wish is that the pool was heated, as it does get chilly on CA fall/winter nights. The hot tub was great though. We will definitely stay here again.

The bed was comfy, the room had everything I needed, microwave, mini-fridge. The laundry facilities were handy for my stay. The location was convenient with coffee shops within walking distance. The staff was very helpful.

We stayed at this hotel because we travelled from Northern California to go to a concert in Pasadena. The hotel was clean, staff was very friendly, they were always available anytime we needed anything. Staff checked in with us to make sure the room was clean. Best prices in the area and rooms are always clean. Staff is delightful and efficient, they even call within a few minutes of check in to make sure everything in the room is up to par.

My 15 yr old ran out to the car, and was approached by some sketchy folks. Not sure if security is on site, but it didn’t seem like it. Get what you pay for. Would not stay there again.

Stayed here for a week while we moved our daughter into Occidental College. It’s just a few minutes away from the college. The room was clean and staff were very nice and helpful. Will likely stay here again when we travel to visit our daughter while she’s in school.

I’ve stayed here before because my child goes to college nearby and it’s so convenient. This time, however, I had a non-smoking room that smelled really badly of stale cigarette smoke — like soaked into the carpet. I got there with not much time to request a change in my room so I stayed the night, but it was disappointing.

I’ve actually come here many times. The location is convenient for me, the people are really nice, rooms are clean and usually quiet. The rates are good with free parking. It’s not very modern, but it does the job to offer a good night’s sleep and I will come back.

We would return to this hotel if we are ever in the area again. The room was clean. I enjoyed the coffee in the morning and the fruit infused water in the evening.

The arrival after midnight story is really bad: if you are arriving that late you are asked to give your credit card by email in order to early checkin, this is not a safe practice. Other than that the stay is fair, there was only one spot left in the garage, room quality is good, no noises.

Probably the best, "basic" motel in the area, and I've stayed at a few of them. Clean, well kept, (relatively) quite, convenient location, and affordable.

Reasonable price. Close to great restaurants.

Clean, serviceable, friendly staff, and very comfortable bed.The room smelled musty upon arrival, the toilet flushing was unbearably loud, and I'm not a fan of the pump dispenser for hand soap, but it was a great location and there was free parking and we were only there one night. Would stay again, but next time be more prepared for the general room noise.

Staff are kind. Nice little pool and hot tub. Some car noise during the night from the busy road, and rooms are very basic. Beds are too firm for my taste, and were only full-sized beds, not queen, in the two-bed rooms. Sheets were a bit scratchy, soap dispensers felt cheap as well as the products in them. No breakfast on-site but some 10% off coupons were given (highly recommend Lola's!) Clearly it's been renovated recently, but has a low-budget flip feel. Eagle Rock has a lot of nice and casual restaurants. Overall, it's perfectly ok for a night or two if you're going to be out and about. Not the kind of place I'd want to hangout and relax.

Older place, things outdated. Staff very nice. Only thing I can say that was a deal breaker is that the room was only cleaned every other day. You had to bring your dirty towels to the front desk pass loose towels over the counter to get new ones. Very un sanitary. Room smelled like smoked.

Great location, 1/2 mile from a lot of convenient shopping and dining, also near my daughter's home. Helpful staff, clean room with fridge & microwave. Pool is also nice. Couldn't ask for more!

We reserved two queen beds and they were definitely not queen. They were doubles. But the room was clean and the staff were super friendly and helpful. The pool area was nice and it was very conveniently located to everywhere we went

We had a family room and there was enough space. The beds were ok but the fold out bed was not comfortable.

Nice and quit , the only thing is the carpet was so dirty that your feet get dirty so fast with no slippers.there where two sheets to cover yourself . Basically the bed didn’t have a sheet .be care with does free pasty in the lobby I took I bite of one and there was mold grown inside .gross and disgusting

The Hills Inn Eagle Rock is what you expect from a motel. Good parking, quiet and safe. Close to dinning and transportation.

The shower was uncomfortable. The shower head needs to be repaired or replaced. The stay does not include breakfast.

Pretty standard big room gives you what u need, free self parking. The only issue I had was that the bedsheets had red blood looking stains on them and the bathroom is small but nice. Had a little trouble using the tv but got it working. Very nice staff, clean, but surrounding area is eh but the prices are good for what you get. Overall good

I am reposting my review because it got posted before I finished it. I tried to delete it but there is no option to. I gave a 4 star rating for the overall experience. Great grounds, breakfast, area, cleanliness and parking. I didn't give a 5 star rating because of the inconvenience and trouble and the operations of the laundry facilities. It was extremely frustrating having to sign up, put a bunch of my information in and use an app to just wash my clothes. It required me to put in a minimum flat rate of which I didn't use all of the funds. For those not tech savy, I can only image their frustration. And the hotel doesn't control the laundry room so they couldn't help.

I don't like that the pool closed at 9. It's not fair to people who arrive late, and it's far enough from the rooms to not be a nuisance.

he Hills Inn Eagle Rock is a hidden gem. The place was well kept, clean, and the rooms were great. We did find a spider in our room but that's something that's difficult to control.

Internet was for absolute crap. Everything else was fantastic, though.

Upon opening the door to enter the room, I smelled bleach and a slight old furniture odor. Once the air conditioner ran for over an hour, the smell disappeared. The room’s decor is outdated. Bed is comfortable. We stayed in the last room so the place is pretty quiet. Breakfast is decent with Starbucks coffee. Overall, the place is priced accordingly.

Excellent place to stay in the eagle rock area, probably the cleanest place you could stay for the price. Front desk is very friendly and attentive. I would definitely stay here again

Close to all the main places. Easy to get to them.

Had on site laundry and quick and easy breakfast included. Clean rooms with plenty of space. Hot tub was nice after long days out walking. Safe and convenient for my daughter and me while visiting area colleges.

I like feeling safe when in cities I’m not familiar with. I thought this was a great area. Some nice dining options within walking distance. Enjoyed the outdoor hottub as well. Good value for your money😊
