Reviews
The hotel is praised for its historic charm, beautiful architecture, and friendly staff. However, guests frequently complain about the outdated rooms, poor cleanliness, and high costs for parking and WiFi.

Check in took FOREVER! with only 2 parties in front of me. I was charged $600.00 amenity fee which was never returned. Destination fees. No valet weekdays the parking garage you need to go up 6 floors until you can park because of valet and apartment parking. The parking garage is so narrow and low that a lot of cars wont fit! and they do not offer anywhere else to park. You have to pay 150.00 a night to park down 3 blocks, good luck walking to your car at night!

I stayed in 715, the room smelt like hot mold at the entrance near the bathroom across from the closet. I was only there for one night. I had room spray, so that helped. The location is great, but $70+ for parking 55+ if you park yourself.

Historic hotel! If you love architecture and history this is the hotel for you! Great location in the heart of downtown. Close to Grand Central Market, Civic Center, The Bradbury Building and Angels Flight.

Beautiful historical hotel directly in downtown Los Angeles. Wonderful stay.
- 5/5
Honestly this is my go to when I come to downtown. Clean room, staff is the best, the food is good, everything is great

Such a beautiful hotel. Every single employee was so king and helpful. It was a really good experience.

Very elegant and original

The Biltmore is exquisite, a throwback to another time. We scored some really amazing prices via one of the online websites (which we sometimes dislike, but at times you can get a really solid deal. The architectural details are incredible, from the moment you walk in you feel like you're in a palace. The hotel has all the major amenities you need: on-site restaurants (our package came with comp'd breakfast buffet every day, which was great), pool, gym, etc. It's just nice to sit in the lobby and soak in the atmosphere. Lots of cool old photographs from when the hotel hosted the Academy Awards in the 30's and 40's. Overall, just a really outstanding hotel.

Breakfast buffet not worth the money
- 4/5
The bill or guest information was a revelation: a daily $39 destination fee that “included” WiFi access, health club access, domestic pkone calls, and daily credits for food and dry cleaning. We did not use any of these except for the WiFi. The valet parking cost $70 per day.
- 3.5/5
Staff were nice. Building has a lot of history. Beautiful architecture. Close to Grand Central Market. Rooms need to be renovated, specially the bathroom. The beds need to be bigger.
- 3/5
This hotel is ripe for a major renovation. To start with, the hotel needs new windows. Current single windows are made of wood , the paint is peeling off, the noise from the street and an air conditioner unit installed on the roof penetrates into the room - ridiculous. Room size was OK, bathroom OK, Ed's were ok. There was only one chair in the room, hence the second guest has to sit on the bed or a small desk chair- subpar for a hotel of this rating. The breakfast buffet was expensive and unimpressive, other breakfast options (in the bar) even worse. The lobby is nice and well maintained. Both self parking and valet parking are quite expensive. If you are good on foot, I suggest parking in one of many nearby garages for one half of what the hotel charges. In addition to the room charges, the final bill showed all sorts of service charges and add-ons, so be aware of that.Staff were generally helpful.
- 4/5
A couple of areas could use improvement. The internet connection was extremely slow and frequently disconnected, which made it difficult to use reliably. The streaming services on the TV experienced similar connectivity issues. The only other disappointment was being asked to leave the downstairs lobby area and not being allowed to eat a meal there, despite it being vacant at the time. It would have been nice to have a comfortable common area available for guests to use. Aside from those issues, I had a great experience and would consider staying here again.
- 5/5
Beautiful and within walking distance to restaurants. Loved staying here and would definitely stay again.
- 5/5
The connecting rooms were very convenient! Beautiful rooms, nice views! Would stay here again!

There’s a bit of a BackRoom vibe but it’s beautiful
- 4.5/5
Spacious hotel, responded quickly to requests. Nice and clean. Close to Persching Square transit. No self service laundry, though you could send things to the laundry for a price. $17 for a pair if underwear was a bit steep. No central lighting in room, only occasional lamps.
- 2/5
I really wanted to love this hotel, but the room furniture, bathroom toiletries and breakfast buffet were substandard. I had stayed at the Biltmore in Santa Barbara in the past (not sure if still there), but my experience in the Biltmore in DTLA was simply a below average experience.
- 5/5
Best hotel in downtown LA
- 5/5
By far the BEST hotel I have ever stayed at. Every staff member I personally came across was very kind, the room was clean even in the smallest nooks and crannies, water pressure was phenomenal, extremely comfortable beds, and every view from entrance to exit was historically beautiful. I truly cannot wait to come back in the next few years. You’d be crazy not to choose the Biltmore.
- 5/5
The staff was awsome!
- 4.5/5
Location was convenient to historical & touristy places. Feeling of being someplace special when walking around the public areas in the hotel (ballrooms, pool area, etc). Rooms don’t meet modern hygienic standards. Black grout around tiles in shower for instance. Rm 736 tiles are worn out. Could make better use of the space by getting rid of large closet and dedicate that space to a better bathroom. There was nothing very posh in the bedrooms. For 3 days we walked by a crumpled napkin and a used glass at the end of the hallway on a shelf. Hospitality should have taken care of that on day 1! Everything above the ground floor just felt dated.

Location The bathroom ceiling was leaking extensively, with water dripping from multiple areas. The leak was severe enough that some of my personal belongings were damaged and could no longer be used. As a result, I was asked to move to a smaller room, despite having originally booked and stayed in an Executive Room. Despite the significant inconvenience and disruption to my stay, the night shift manager did not offer any apology or show any concern for the situation. In addition, the original room was not properly cleaned upon arrival. I found used dental floss stick on the floor, which raised concerns about the overall cleanliness of the room. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience and far below the level of service I would expect from a hotel of this standard. What was most concerning was not only the condition of the room, but also the lack of empathy, communication, and service recovery from the hotel staff when the issue was reported.

Beautiful atmosphere, polite and helpful staff, but the spotty wifi made working remote next to impossible. Unfortunately, having no room service was also a hassle when you're trying to work. I can't recommend this hotel for business travelers.
- 5/5
A wonderful stay in a beautiful, historic hotel!
- 3/5
Meals are pricey and limited. Same for breakfast

Amazing hotel, full of details and beauty all over the place. Staff was very accommodating and helped us be in adjacent rooms to support my son's disability. Staff at front desk was amazing! Location is awesome and it's a place where you feel the luxury and the history! The person from the room service team was rude when assigned to bring us the extra bed for one of the rooms. Almost telling me that if there was an accident, I would be liable, etc. One of the rooms was a 2-bed that it was changed to a king, so we needed the extra bed. Due to the way we were treated by the person in charge of delivering the extra bed, we decided to just let it go!
- 4/5
The room was spacious and comfortable. Despite the pool being closed the staff went the extra mile to make up for that downside. The pool was closed during our stay.

While the hotel is gorgeous, the rooms were completely outdated and the carpet was musty smelling in my first room. I ended up having to change rooms because the faucet in the tub wouldn’t stop leaking. The new room (on a different floor) did not smell, but was also very outdated.
- 3/5
Good location, beautiful architecture.

- 2/5
For a 4-5 star hotel, it was disappointing that to see the lack of amenities in the bathroom. Only a small tube of moisturiser provided, not even a shower cap. Yes, shampoo and body wash in the bath. The air conditioning in our room didn’t cool the room and issue wasn’t resolved until Day 2 of a 3 day stay. The WiFi didn’t work in the room for our entire stay, even after complaining about it. We had left our luggage with the Bell Captain on check-out and had to wait 30mins when returned a couple hours later to retrieve our luggage. We approached staff at the front desk as we had time limitations but they were dismissive and couldn’t really care. Opulent hotel but don’t recommend it.
- 2/5
This is a beautiful iconic hotel with a lot of history. However, the third floor rooms smelled moldy and musty. The room’s carpet are as old as the hotel. Nothing updated in 50 years. No slippers or robes. No room service even when requested the service. Had to ask for the complimentary water. When I complained to the front desk staff on the musty smell she kept saying she didn’t know anything about that She repeated this statement 3 times. Two nights was enough not to go back.

TV did not work. The toilet had no lock. I paid for non functional room. I feel cheated.

A luxurious historic hotel . Very comfortable, clean , just an ace
- 5/5
Extremely nice and large nice hotel. Room very clean, quiet, and bathroom . Staff all very professional. Only thing is nothing to do around the area after 10pm.
- 5/5
Hospedarse en el hotel es una experiencia como pocas, su edificio, historia y arquitectura hacen de la estadía una experiencia única. El personal es súper amable.
- 3/5
The room very old furniture nothing like the picture over price as well for the condition the bathroom shower
- 5/5
Great hotel enjoyed the fact that it was a landmark. Comfortable room.
- 4/5
20% automatic service charge makes good service optional, and it shows not worthy of hotel of such grandeur. Steeped in film and shows of pictures but maybe add a Gloria Swanson to bitterly lament “it’s the service that got small”. The hotel itself oozes decor and charm. But the dimly lit bar and breakfast restaurant are almost Ozymandias like - suggestive of a glorious time but nothing more, Someone who loves hotel like this hotel loves movies could catapult this place to a really fine destination. Oh and a few bartenders know how to make a few drinks well.
- 5/5

Horrible service
- 3/5
For the historical factor it’s amazing. For room size and cost it’s just okay. Location was what I needed but I’ve stayed just down the street at the Hilton and had a better experience.
- 5/5
Neat.
- 4/5
The building is beautiful! A little old and the internet is slow! It a great place for a couple of nights
- 5/5
Old school charm oozes out of every corner. Fabulous detail in all the public spaces. Rooms are large. Bathrooms and functional - as one should expect from a 1920s hotel. A movie was being filmed while I was there.

- 3/5
The Biltmore is a how beautiful overall, the only thing that would have made it perfect is if they would have had some kind of magnets on the shower curtain? Because the shower was very small, and the curtain kept hitting me. Not too sanitary and annoying when showering.
- 5/5
The hotel was excellent to stay in
- 4/5
Everything is fine except the location of our room wherein you cannot see anything in the window but wall of other establishment. No breakfast included as well.
- 5/5
The Biltmore is a beautiful hotel, situated in a great location. We were within walking distance of the Walt Disney Concert Hall, The Broad museum, and the Grand Central Market to name a few points of interest. We were also a reasonable Uber ride from the Citadel Outlets and the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The property was clean, the staff were friendly and the building's historic charm could be found in every room. We will definitely look to stay here again the next time we are in LA.
- 5/5
Great staff
- 3/5
Terrible experience. They charged $250 in hidden, extra charges above the room rate. The water in the shower was not hot even though the sink water was hot, so obviously the shower fixture is broken and has not been properly maintained.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel, great location, large nice room. Beautiful pool. Love the history of the hotel
- 5/5

- 5/5
Clean room, kind staff. Check in/out was simple and easy. Self parking available for fee. Will stay here again
- 3/5
Building is beautiful, but the age is showing despite the restorations. The exhibition about history was nice to walk through. However, the amenities were not the best. The parking is very expensive but the breakfast buffet was disapointing. About 85 dollars for 2 people and there is not even juice available. I have stayed in many hotels where it has been included in the room price and it has included way more options, omelette stations etc. This was pretty minimal compared to the price and not worth it.
- 1/5
It’s a very historic hotel so the architecture is amazing but the upkeeping of the rooms is not! I had to be switched three times in a small weekend stay which made it not very convenient for me! I had to unpack and pack three times in a Friday to Monday morning stay! At the end for my lastnight I was given a suite but it still don’t change the fact of the inconvenience even the general manger of the hotel was nice and helpful.
- 5/5
10 day stay total. At the beginning the room in the 4th floor was not great. It was old, noisy and very small for 2 people. The front desk manager understood my concern and after I told him we were considering to stay longer he immediately agreed to upgrade us to the 10th floor. I also mentioned my gold status with Expedia. The new room was much better. Same layout but more spacious and renovated. Great experience over all.
- 3/5
Overall, the hotel was accommodating and pleasant, but none of the staff seemed particularly engaged or interested in making an effort to be cheerful. The restaurant Smeraldi's did not have appropriate cleanliness standards, and we left mid-meal.
- 5/5
The staff was very accomadating and friendly. If you requested something they brought it right up. The breakfast had a good variety. Very pleased.
- 5/5
Hotel is beautiful. Room was huge. Loved everything about it
- 5/5
Such a nice hotel. Historic place. Excellent staff.
- 5/5
.
- 4/5
The hotel is absolutely beautiful and completely worth the stay if you’re into Art Nuevo and LA decorative arts. The neighborhood is spotty, but I can solidly recommend the LA Central Public Library for its centennial charm and character. The only downside was that the hotel swimming pool was not available for several hours, and with no insights on when it would reopen.
- 4/5
Fun old hotel. Lots of college and high school kids on trips and so some loud hallways late in the night.
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
This historic hotel has spacious rooms with comfortable beds. The beds were two full size beds and the bathroom looked a bit outdated. Everything was clean. My only complaint is that there were lady’s of the night congregated by the elevators offering their services. I feel that they should have better security.
- 4/5
Rooms are very simple, clean, well kept with tiny bathroom, pillows are what you would get at motel but otherwise nice bedding. It’s all decent. What you pay for above the average room is a fancy lobby.
- 5/5
This hotel is close to many LA spots you must see like the Angels Flight Railway which drops you off right in front of grand central market. It’s close the Library, Coffee shops and restaurants. Their heated pool is so relaxing the staff was so nice and friendly. I’m looking forward to staying here again.
- 5/5
This place is great!
- 3/5
One out of the two queen beds was very dented could only sleep on one side of the bed. I paid $55 a day for self parking and on busy days like Thur - Sat they block off more than half the parking spots for guests visiting the hotel making it impossible to find a parking spot. The pool which I understand they want to keep its originality the tile was very dirty. The furniture in the room was chipped and run down along with the walls need paint. The restroom vent was moldy. Not doing a great job with the up keep. I did not try the food.
- 5/5
Wonderful hotel and amenities.
- 5/5
The rooms were a little smaller than expected. Not much wiggle room but it did its job. I would say if you’re going to have 4 people get the queen beds not the double beds. One thing that really bothered me was the cost of parking. $70 a night just seemed ridiculous, I wish they didn’t charge hotel guest that much mostly when they had plenty of events that night that they were charging all those non guest to park. They could have done actual guest a favor and not charged that much. The valet staff was very nice as well as the bell hop staff. Overall we did like it.
- 5/5
Old World charm!

We purchased the Access Lounge and chose to have breakfast and appetizers there. Both were delicious. They advertise that snacks are offered after 10:30am but slwe only saw beverages. That might be considered a snack in some cultures.

Generally everything was nice, staff was good, property is very classic. The bathroom cleanliness left something to be desired though.
- 5/5
The hotel was very classy and beautiful! I love the big bathtub so relaxing 😊
- 4/5
Response was no valet today? Ok could they could have put a sign out or verbally say sorry not valet today?
- 5/5
Love the glorious and glamorous atmosphere.
- 5/5
Beautiful architecture.
- 5/5
Beautiful property with friendly staff
- 1/5
For being such a famous iconic landmark it was run down, limited in staff(no valet!), the towels were worn like rags. The bar staff and bell hop was great as he had worked there for many years. Overall, super disappointed for the rate and for the anticipation we had for spending the one night we had in LA at the Biltmore.
- 5/5
Great service
- 4/5
From the moment I arrived, the staff was welcoming, professional, and attentive. Check-in was smooth, and every employee I interacted with made me feel like a valued guest. The level of hospitality was consistent throughout my stay—front desk, housekeeping, and support staff all went above and beyond. What impressed me most was how responsive and accommodating the team was. Any request or question was handled quickly and with a positive attitude. It’s clear that customer service is a priority here, and it made the overall experience seamless and enjoyable. The hotel itself has a beautiful historic charm, but it’s the staff that really makes the difference. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting downtown Los Angeles.
- 5/5
Great
- 2/5
Our Executive Room- not worth choosing. No hand soap, no water to drink in the room. ALL night you hear the ambulances with their loud sirens going up and down the streets. Then I want to take a shower and the shower handle is shut tight. We paid for the buffet breakfast. There was lots of choices. Fresh fruit and they even brought our own container of coffee so we could refill. Was pleased with breakfast. Walking thru the door they give you a handout about the history of the hotel and a map of the layout of all the big rooms but when you go to check it out most are locked up. However the hallway with all the old pictures were interesting. We definitely would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone, but if you are in the area it would be interesting to walk thru. Also paying $55.00 for 1 night of parking is absurd.
- 5/5
What a beautiful hotel. I love this place from top to bottom. The architecture, the woodwork, ceilings, the rooms. All of it. The only critique I have is that the food situation is subpar, especially for a hotel like this. The breakfast buffet was good but limited. The only other place to eat is in the lounge bar. It’s an excellent space. Great place to have drinks. But the food options were super limited. Not many vegetables available. But I will say the food that I did have tasted good.
- 4/5
The gallery bar made excellent drinks and had really good food and service. It is an older room, so you may not have all the amenities of a new hotel. But beautiful and classic.
- 4/5
it's a grande dame that needs some resources to make it great again. front desk staffing is too thin causing very long lines. our room was pleasant in an old world kinda way. breakfast was passable but boring- think costco mini muffins. best deal in the dtla area though.
- 4/5
Parking garage was next to the hotel. Even though it was connected, having to go through elevators, then steps, then to another drop off area was very cumbersome with multiple luggage. The area around the hotel did not seem so safe. Just a block away (north east) was like a scene from a zombie apocalypse movie with homeless drug addicts doing their thing. A few blocks south, there's a Wholefoods store which was convenient.
- 5/5
Beautiful iconic property. Love it.
- 4/5
We thought the hotel was centrally located for all the things we chose to do in downtown LA. Our room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable.
- 4/5
Room and bathroom were small. There was mold on the larger bathroom mirror. The rooms could use an update.
- 5/5
Clean room
- 3/5
We will NOT be staying at the Millennium Biltmore again. It is overpriced for the amenities, room size, quality of service, staff, etc. Valet parking was a nightmare. One afternoon, we waited 35 minutes for our car. The rooms are tiny. With our suitcases open, my husband and I could barely walk around our bed. The mattresses and bedding are not great. They didn’t use shower liners. So, every time we took a shower, the bathroom flooded. The cotton shower curtain was too short. Hot water was hard to attain and keep. The bathrobes and slippers were nice. Our housekeeper was amazing. I tipped her well.
- 3/5
Room and bathroom were small and feel dirty.
- 4/5
Who does that these days ?
- 4/5
Cold shower. Overcharged me.
- 5/5
Great service
- 5/5
That was the best breakfast I’ve had in a very long, long time. The food melted in your mouth… the only complaint I have is the air conditioner heating and cooling in the room, it was either full blast cold or full blast heat. it did not adjust to whatever temperature you wanted, and it had a constantrattling noise…
- 5/5
An amazing historical place ❤️
- 5/5
Additionally, I would like to acknowledge the exceptional service provided by the valet staff on February 21st, 2026. Despite their limited responsibilities, they went above and beyond to help me locate a safe pharmacy late at night. Their unwavering support ensured that I was able to retrieve my Uber and return to the hotel without any further complications. I regret not being able to remember their names. Furthermore, I would like to thank the housekeeping staff for their invaluable assistance during a challenging time when my daughter fell ill. Their prompt attention to my needs was greatly appreciated. Lastly, I would like to commend the gentleman at the club for his exceptional service in providing me with ice cubes. His assistance was instrumental in ensuring my comfort during my stay. In summary, I am thoroughly impressed with the vision and execution of the hotel. The property is aesthetically pleasing, exudes a sense of class, and boasts top-notch security measures.

GORGEOUS place, gorgeous and pristine clean rooms. Wonderful staff!!! 5 Stars!
- 4/5
Parking is easy as I used the valet but parking in the structure can be challenging.
- 5/5
Classy and elegant, and if you are here to learn about and experience LA, it’s hard to beat this historic venue. If you look closely you can notice a few things frayed around the edges, but this is an exceptional place with consistently first rate staff people who seem to take pride in where they work. Location is superb for walking to lots of great DTLA sites and well served by Metro lines to go elsewhere easily, safely, and inexpensively. A place like seriously needs a concierge given its location, and room service into the wee hours also a surprising for this kind of place. Live jazz in the very classy bar Thursdays, excellent cocktails although overpriced.
- 4/5
Amazing classic hotel. The rooms show their age a bit, and being in downtown, the view out of my executive king room was a block wall.
- 5/5
All was well except for internet connection which was either very slow or not working.
- 5/5
Alfred and Leo were outstanding in helping us learn more about the hotel. Leo sacrificed time he could have been collecting tips to share his love of the hotel. He should get a bonus. And thank you Alfred for connecting us with Leo, a wonderful example of doing more than the job requires. Bonuses to both.

Perfect spot for rose bowl action!

Check in was way too long. Needed more staff. Hotel is beautiful.

Great stay at the Biltmore Hotel! The building is beautiful with a classic, historic feel, and the staff was friendly and attentive. My room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The downtown location made it easy to get around. Would definitely stay here again!

Parking was expensive and charged me twice .
- 5/5
Beautiful and historic
- 2/5
Not good
- 5/5
Very nice staff upgraded me to VIP room on 11th floor & a late check out.
- 4/5
We did have a billing issue but the property worked with us to get it resolved. Parking is expensive. Consider getting a space in a nearby lot instead (which is what we did - thanks, Spot Hero!)
- 3/5
For the price of this hotel I anticipated better service we got no bottle water in our room, only 1 food option, we had to stay on extra day due to flight cancellation. The front desk made me book and extra night via website then come tell them I did and re-check back in at thendront desk with my DL, CC, and room keys then did an additional hold on my card for incidentals- after already spe ding a week at the hotel. The hotel itself (common areas) are amazing. But the rooms are old and not updated. The shower curtains blow with the pressure of the shower. Sp nd most of your shower time keep the shower curtainnout of your face. The water pressure was so hard our daughter didn't want to shower. In my opinion this hotel was not worth the cost when There are many many more options in the surrounding area.
- 5/5
The staff was incredible! My room was clean and lovely. It was a great stay, would recommend.
- 4/5
Staff was friendly and the rooms were very old school.
- 5/5
Staff was professional and courteous, we lost something and they were incredibly helpful in finding it. Every conversation with staff was very pleasant.
- 5/5
Everything was wonderful. Excellent staff that made you feel welcome at every opportunity! It’s such a pleasure to see a well run business!
- 4/5
Courteous staff
- 3/5
Older hotel - character but amenities are a bit dated
- 3/5
It didn’t start out good I didn’t get the room I pre-paid for, I purchased a king and got a double as inventory was out. Then I got stuck in the elevator and had to call for help. But with all that said, security came and was very kind kudos to him. Front desk gave me access to the lounge on the 10th floor. Feedback about the lounge - it isn’t worth the 45$ per day
- 5/5
Clean and comfy
- 5/5
The ambiance. The restaurant had good food and drinks.
- 5/5
Wonderful historic building. Great service. Lovely neighborhood.

Great location
- 5/5
Gorgeous. Staff is unbelievable.
- 5/5
Beautiful Hotel. Guest services awesome, could not ask for a better experience.
- 5/5
Very nice place to stay the staff are really good
- 2/5
The Front Desk staff was rude and seemed unaware of what was happening. I spoke with the manager, who was equally unhelpful. I then moved to another part of the hotel to eat. The hostess asked if I had a reservation; when I said no, she didn't explain the options available. I asked where I could eat, and she told me to go out the door and walk a block away. I later discovered the hotel had two dining options. The only positive experience was with Mario in the bar; he was very helpful and explained the hotel's options, as well as those in the surrounding area. Hotel need more Mario's he know what customer service means.
- 5/5
Every single thing about the hotel was great. Cant wait to stay there again

Great place to stay
- 1/5
Staff support is horrible
- 5/5
Loved it!
- 5/5
The room was nice, and it was like traveling back to Hollywoods hay day!
- 3/5
I stayed in the executive suite and it was not worth the extra cost. The carpet had random wet spots and the room looked like it needed some major upgrades. The shower’s tiles were peeling and it looked like a scene out of a horror movie with the flickering light. The iron kept leaking water and was at best a $20 piece from Walmart. The only reason why the rating was not lower is because the rest of the building was a nice experience. The staff were also great with the minimal interactions that I had with them.
- 3/5
Room was clean and everyone was very nice. But the room (and hallways) strongly smelled like air wick air freshener. It was overwhelming in the room and it took a full day for the smell to calm down enough where we weren’t coughing. There were no wash cloths, no remote (we asked and they did send one up), and the TV only worked when we propped the ice container under the cable.
- 1/5
Everything was good until we went to sleep. There was a needle sticking out of my pillow that jabbed me twice. It ended up being a Bobby pin inside my pillow
- 3/5
I’ve been wanting to stay at The Biltmore because of the nostalgia of a historical LA hotel. The common areas of the hotel and the bar are awesome. The shower was either cold or barely lukewarm, and mostly cold water. My wife froze. The lighting in the closet was burned out and the window in the bathroom did not close all the way. I realize its a 100+ year old hotel and should have expected some issues due to age. I am glad I stayed one night and will return to the bar/lounge area but will not stay the night again.
- 4/5
Room was spotless everything was great
- 5/5
Spacious clean room.
- 1/5
Our room was not the same as we booked, and the receptionist was so rude.
- 5/5
Clean, staff is incredibly friendly, calm environment
- 5/5
The staff is great. We paid for the breakfast in advance ($15.00) per person and the breakfast was really good. I want to congratulate the breakfast staff, they treated in such a way that it made us feel really special, thank you guys!
- 5/5
Very cordial, helpful staff, the beautiful architectural details of this landmarked building. Great to have a bar/restaurant on the first floor with delicious food, Jazz Night on Thursdays.
- 5/5
Breathtaking architecture
- 5/5
Room was clean, spacious, beautiful. Staff were lovely—front desk, housekeeper, restaurant. The building and the people here really stand out. I hope to be back soon.
- 4/5
The staff was courteous with every interaction. The ladies cleaning the rooms were very attentive replenishing towels and toiletries. The hotel itself was an experience to walk through looking at all the rich history from years past. I would definitely stay again.
- 5/5
VIP. Everything was wonderful.
- 4/5
I would stay there again.
- 5/5
Good service
- 5/5
Great experience has a lot of history

Food at breakfast buffet was good, bagels were not soft. But ok. Staff is pleasant and professional. I love the building!
- 3/5
Rooms were dusty and dated.

Beautiful hotel and room, but way more expensive than it should’ve been for what I received in service and amenities.

Our room was good. Audrey and Fred in the little store were awesome! The Hotel is gorgeous! I wish you gave tours. Or at least allowed registered guests to see the ballrooms if not in use.

The staff were wonderful

Beautiful hotel, but older
- 3/5
Our room was so cold we had to sleep in puffers, jeans and beanies. no refund:(
- 5/5
The hotel was beautiful. The service on all levels was amazing. The food was great and they had several options to choose from.
- 4/5
The staff seemed courteous
- 5/5
Architectural gem loved it
- 5/5
Nice place
- 1/5
Non of the valet attendants helped, the checking in was bland, the rooms sucked! We only had 2 shower towels! The window didn’t close it was so bad I left the next day at 5a
- 2/5
Bad things: 1. Rooms are not clean 2. Bathrooms are very small and not clean 3. I have stayed in 4 rooms in my one week stay, many of the room s are same small and dirty. 4. Some of the room doesn't have bathroom door lock or latch. No privacy. 5. No coffee in the morning. They provide that small coffee machine in the room but they were dirty. 6. They provides 2 bottles of water per room each day. So you should buy water as soon as you land there. 7. The staffs are ok but some of the staffs are very rude. i wanted to take some photographs of my daughter in that hotel as I like the architecture. They rudely stopped me for taking the pictures. At least they should allow to take photos for their guest. 8. The guards are running the scam. They asked me if I want to take their taxi service to travel to airport. First they told me some price then later they changed the price when I agreed. Once I reached to airport they started asking credit card fees. They should not be allowed to run this kind of service if that cannot be booked from hotel frontdesk itself. Good things: 1. This is one of the oldest hotel and the architecture is gorgeous. You really want to take pictures of that. 2. Their associations with Oscar and many movies shot there, makes them famous. 3. They have a bar and restaurant there which is decent to survive but not really great. 4. The location is very good and have easy access for many things.
- 4/5
Beautiful hotel just a little outdated in some aspects. Loved the history of it!
- 3/5
I wanted to bring this to your attention so it can be addressed moving forward.
- 5/5
Beautiful historic hotel, very clean with a friendly staff. Also the restaurant at the hotel was amazing. Great food, and drinks.
- 3/5
Dirty room. Dirty bathroom. Long line for elevators at night. Expensive daily car parking.
- 1/5
The room was way too hot and staff did not come to fix until 3am. Beds were very unsuitable and water was very lukewarm not even hot. For the price the rooms were just awful. I do not recommend this place to stay
- 5/5
Room good Amenities not satistified
- 4/5
The cleaning staff kept my room spotless.
- 4/5
We had to change room in the night because the room next to us was VERY loudy, with music and some kind of party going on.

Friendly professional staff. Fun old Hollywood hotel
- 5/5
Gorgeous hotel. Easy to walk to multiple dining options. Quite easy to park in garage and easy to get to any location you are driving to. Near to attractions like the Grand Central Market (highly recommend) and Angel’s Flighr, as well as museums.

Excellent location. Very close to Disney concert Hall. We always stay here when we have tickets fir a concert.
- 5/5
Clean room and great staff
- 5/5
We were upgraded to a suite and the staff were amazing.
- 5/5
Historical and dated a bit but beautiful and good location downtown. Great staff. Bathroom is small and windows are old style so they do not seal out noise
- 5/5
Was beautiful
- 5/5
Great hospitality, beautiful and clean room.
- 3/5
The hotel is very outdated. The elevator alarm went off every couple hours and was very annoying. The beds are not comfy but the staff is very sweet and the pool is amazing!
- 2/5
The next disappointment was my room itself. It was adequate, nothing spectacular considering the price. Items in the room were either not in working order or not stocked. The TV didn’t work properly. The little refrigerator in the room was room temperature- hardly ideal for storing any possible leftovers! And, yes, I did TRY to adjust the thermostat. The drain in the shower didn’t work and there was NO shampoo! The

Hotel interior was very good. Though room was spacious, it was a little old. Cleanness was good. Could improve on veggie options
- 3/5
Room was not great and the bathroom was not that great. Shower was old and not is a good condition as well
- 5/5
Excellent Room, we would definitely stay in the suite again much more spacious than a normal room. The staff were courteous, friendly, and very helpful. This is our fave hotel.
- 5/5
Good
- 2/5
In summary: motor inn class accommodation, Ritz-Carlton class price. (Although, to be fair, the heart-of-Downtown-LA drives the price of anything high)
- 5/5
Wonderful staff!!
- 5/5
Good service
- 5/5
Didn’t eat breakfast there
- 4/5
the Biltmore is reasonably priced for downtown LA and is wonderfully located near everything we wanted to do: museums, concert venues, good restaurants
- 5/5
Beautiful location. Elegant and Refined.
- 5/5
But the terrific staff was the highlight. Friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Absolutely, they were so nice and patient with us and we are very grateful for that.

A luxurious elegant old glamour Hollywood hotel . A gem of a hotel
- 4/5
Historic hotel, staff friendly

Todo fue muy limpio rapido y todos fueron muy atentos gracias
- 5/5
Everything was great. Staff was amazing and the Christmas decorations were on point and looked amazing as well.
- 5/5
Great Place
- 4/5
The main problem is the bed pillows. There were plenty of them but all were too hard and too high
- 5/5
The friendly and helpful staff. And the convenient location.
- 5/5
The hotel was super cool! I enjoyed my stay, and the rooms are so nice and spacious. Not to many amenities in the room, but not disappointed. I love the nespresso maker in the room that was a nice touch. The indoor pool and dry sauna are awesome. I was bummed the hottub was out of commission. Overall, hotel was so beautiful and clean. I do wish I would have stayed for breakfast.
- 5/5
Everything Was Perfect But The Shower Heads Need Updating & The Water Didn't Get Very Warm
- 5/5
Ok
- 4/5
Clean and large room
- 1/5
Didn’t receive 20% discounts on food or beverage. Didn’t get updated. The breakfast offering was nothing short of abysmal. The selection was meager, uninspiring, and repetitive, with the exact same menu every day. Many items were stale, poorly prepared, and cold by the time they were carried from the buffet to the table. The coffee was bland and lifeless, tasting like instant, and the juices were far from fresh. What should have been a simple, enjoyable start to the day instead felt like a hollow, careless gesture—an experience so thoroughly disappointing that it borders on insulting.
- 5/5
Staff was very nice!
- 5/5
Amazing hotel! Great service, delicious drinks and food!
- 5/5
Clean room ,comfortable , good room temperature
- 1/5
Staff was so rude my daughter ended our girl trip. Then I couldn’t even change hotels. Horrible experience. They yell at you for their lack of proper signage.
- 5/5
Most of the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating! The breakfast was delicious. The Biltmore hotel is the perfect place to stay if you're looking for that old 1920s Hollywood feel. Decor is outdated but in a good way! Walls are thin / windows are old, so you can hear a lot of noise from the street at night - However we experienced more noise than normal because there was an ice rink across the street playing loud music. Otherwise the city itself seemed fairly quiet! The warm indoor saltwater pool and sauna was the perfect way to end the night! Right in the heart of Downtown LA with a parking garage attached for convenience - Although self park starts on the 9th floor so be sure to give yourself extra time to enter and exit if you are not paying for valet. Valet was $70/day and self park was $50/day. The area felt safe-ish until after 11PM -12AM. There are many bars and restaurants within walking distance - and The Walt Disney Concert Hall is right around the corner. You will love staying here!
- 5/5
Great for 1 night
- 2/5
The architecture is beautiful. Tour it instead. Don’t stay the night. I guess unless you can afford the extremely expensive stays in the super fancy rooms.
- 4/5
Room was very nice.
- 3/5
Staff was very courteous, the room seemed to lack however. We didn’t have hot water. Our soap dispenser was empty for the shower, which I hope was an indication of how thoroughly it was cleaned. The vending machine then charged $7.50 for what appeared to be a $3.00 bottle of water. Pricey parking as well.

- 3/5
However, the actual room experience fell short of expectations. The accommodations felt noticeably dated, and several amenities I expected at this price point were missing. The bathroom, in particular, was disappointing—the toilet resembled the style commonly found in public restrooms, and the lack of ventilation made showering uncomfortable due to excessive humidity. We found ourselves keeping the bathroom door open just to maintain comfort. While the hotel remains an impressive venue for events or a visit to its historic spaces, I was ultimately glad our stay was only two nights. Unfortunately, the overall experience did not quite match the price or the anticipation I had for this iconic property.
- 4/5
Clean and comfortable room but very noisy.
- 4/5
The Lost Angeles Biltmore is iconic, but the property is a bit like an old movie star who was stunning in her day but has grown a little tired and past her prime. While the bones and structure are still grand, some "wrinkles" and cracks are starting to show. The bar and food were great, and the valet Leo was so helpful in getting us a car to Coliseum. We did not receive a free breakfast, nor 20% off our food or drinks.
- 4/5
Wonderful staff. Historic building, it could use a revamp. I could hear the people next room speak and their tv. For me, the biggest disappointment was the coffee in the room, it is bad.
- 1/5
The air conditioning was broken, and the room was hot. It seems the room has bedbugs.

Toilet was leaking at the handle. Room Was not as nice expected as advertised.. check in lady was rude and standoffish
- 5/5
I recently stayed at the Baltimore Hotel in Los Angeles with family and kids, and it was a great experience. The room was surprisingly big and very clean, which made the stay comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my visit. The hotel itself looked amazing—beautiful design and a welcoming atmosphere. Overall, I had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back.
- 4/5
The lobby was nice and historic, and the rooms were large. I didn't like the area at all. There was nowhere to go for food or beverage at night or in the morning. The hotel had two restaurants, but the grill and bar only had meat options. There was no salad, soup, or salmon. There was only 10 items on the menu. Mainly burgers. The staff was nice but when I asked for a bill while checking out they did not give me one. They said they would email it and I still haven't received it. The tower was a far walk from the hotel and the elevator was not working. Thus I had to carry my suitcase and other belongings down the stairs and to the room. It was very shleppy. The breakfast had a choices, but they had no flavor. I do not recommend for the price.
- 5/5
It is a beautiful building. The rooms are quiet.
- 3/5
The rooms are very old, the parking is terrible, but for having big events the ballroom is fantastic up to 300 people.
- 5/5
The room was clean and all of the staff members were so helpful and friendly. The entire hotel was nice and full of history. Great stay!
- 2/5
If I was upgraded, I was wondering what my regular room would have looked like.
- 5/5
Room was great and the hotel has so much history. It was a beautiful hotel. Was a little let down by the bar in the hotel. But a great location nonetheless.
- 5/5
the historic lobby, photos, etc.
- 3/5
Still have not received my deposit back yet
- 3/5
The hotel is beautiful. I just wish they had a coffee bar for incoming guess. I was raining all weekend, and a nice cup of coco would have been nice. Also, we didn't have a fan in our bathroom. The prices in the restuarant we very high. $20 for a small pizza that ended up being $34 after tip and taxes. The pizza was a personal size pizza.

Awesome property. Immediately became one of my favorite Hotel properties not only in Los Angeles but worldwide. Their Gallery Bar and Grill in the lobby is an absolute must for morning coffee and you gotta try the burger for lunch/dinner. Lifelong road warrior for business and many hotels I've experienced have 5 Star rankings without really being at that level... The Biltmore Los Angeles is 100% 5 Star in my opinion. Fantastic Hotel property across the board that also offers a museum quality history of Los Angeles across the property with beautiful artwork and timeless photos. This is a MUST STAY property in Los Angeles.
- 5/5
Staff was excellent. Always accommodating and kind. From check-in to security to housekeeping. And the history of the actual building was fascinating and fun to experience.

- 5/5
Breakfast was excellent, the room was nice. The only complaint was that the windows are single pane.
- 5/5
This vacation was very elegant staying at this legendary hotel. We loved the nostalgic lobby.
- 3/5
I had a medical emergency and there was absolutely no emergency staff, tools, or medications on site
- 5/5
We did not stay for breakfast.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel, very big and grand. Awesome history and story on the Biltmore. Our room was great! It wasn't over-the-top fancy or modern, but was true to the historic hotel and was clean and perfect for us. Would stay here again.
- 5/5
The check in was extremely quick. The property was very well maintained. The rooms were very spacious (8th floor). Housekeeping was diligent. The location was convenient. There was plenty parking offsite for a cheaper price. Lots to do in the area.
- 5/5
Of note, the elevators were fast, almost never a wait. The hotel is busy at night with one or more events, fun to people watch.

- 5/5
Front desk was extremely helpful and understanding.
- 1/5
We were going to a music festival that got rained out. (Crazy for LA!) The biltmore was unwilling to accommodate a cancellation and refund, which makes the experience even more horrible!! We're going back to LA for the festival next weekend, but we will staying at a hotel that values their customers. Terrible, terrible service.
- 5/5
Always a clean room, the staff was very nice and friendly, and the room and building was very nice and beautiful.
- 5/5
Everyone was very friendly and quick to help with anything we needed
- 4/5
room was clean
- 5/5
Shower pressure was very nice. Clean and spacious room.
- 5/5
The room itself was adequate, but the hotel lobby is stunningly gorgeous. It felt like going back in time 100 years and living like royalty. A bit annoying to have no body wash in the container, but overall a very reasonable room
- 3/5
Room was clean and hotel location was great at a iconic hotel. Staff was very helpful although overwhelmed by the long line of customers waiting to check in with insufficient staff. Shower water was luke warm in our room. Biggest issue was Biltmore claims to have a Spa which my wife and I were looking for as it was our anniversary. When we tried to set up a couples massage, we discovered that the hotel actually outsources spa services to a third party called Soothe done in our room. We went ahead and used them and though the massage was good, the process we had to use, including setting up the appointment with their poor website and customer service, was VERY difficult to navigate.
- 4/5
Huge room well cleaned and friendly staff. Quite off fashioned decor in the rooms but public areas very classy.
- 4/5
Clean room and good enough for 1 night…
- 5/5
Awesome customer service!
- 5/5
Extraordinary property. A walk back into the gilded age. Wonderful service too. Would be even better if the city/state helped revitalize downtown.
- 4/5
Room was small but clean. Club level lounge was nice and the snacks and breakfast were good.
- 5/5
Clean, Excellent building style and Friendly
- 1/5
The staff was Not friendly, we arrived around 11am they did not allow us to check in, the valet guys (Leo) was very rude , the recepcion girl Roll her eyes when i asked something about the parking garage. To be honest, there are alot of nicer places to stay in LA.
- 5/5
Spectacular shared areas. Really loved the history. Room was adequate. Great location.

Room was very clean and the staff were lovely and very helpful

Not good for stay smoke smell in room light is not working properly beds are not in good condition.service is terrible.terrible experience do not recommend the photos of this hotel are very misleading place look nothing like the pictures online.

- 5/5
I love old buildings and the Biltmore is iconic in downtown LA. My room was lovely - the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was a typical older hotel bathroom -- clean but needs a little TLC. The staff is very friendly. Only issues were a very slow check in with only one person at the desk and a line. And, the toiletries could use a little help.
- 5/5
The public areas of the hotel were mostly stunning, old Hollywood glamour, except some bits were slightly faded glamour. The corridors on the bedroom floors are gloriously carpeted, but were so long and empty, they also reminded me of the corridors in The Shining! Stick a painting or mirror at the end of the corridors and it'll feel warmer. However, the reception lobby had wonderful sofas and carpets and looked brilliant. And don't forget the ceilings and balconied area that made it feel we were in a chateau, or even a style magazine! We didn't eat at the hotel, but we did interact with some of the housekeeping and bar staff. All were very friendly and courteous.

Money
- 3/5
If checkin time is 3:00 the rooms need to ready.
- 4/5
11th (top) floor was exceptionally nice. An old classic hotel doing its best to stay afloat.
- 5/5
It’s a strong choice especially if you appreciate historic charm and a downtown location, but if you prioritize ultra-modern rooms and amenities you might find it slightly less ideal.
- 5/5
Amazing hotel with really great staff.
- 5/5
Honestly every staff member goes above and beyond to help.
- 4/5
Bathroom door didn’t close properly. Room had 2 full beds, not queens. AC wouldn’t slow down or stop so it was very cold in the room. Beddings were too thin for cold temperatures. Room was clean. Hotel common areas are beautiful.
- 5/5
The location was perfect for the reason I was in town. My favorite part was that I was offered a late checkout for a small fee. I don’t mind paying a decent price for a later checkout. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms were nice and clean. Everything was great. Staff was nice and courteous.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel! Staff was nice room was clean
- 5/5
The breakfast was fresh and delicious the service was excellent the room was so relaxing I could have stayed another day we only stayed one night.

I had to pay 45.00a day if I wanted young provides with water ,coffee(which was an awesome)continental breakfast

The Biltmore is a beautiful hotel. The room was very clean. The bed was comfortable.
- 5/5
Best day ever stupendous
- 2/5
The pregnant woman needs to stay home. She made me feel unwelcome as if asking a question bothered her.
- 4/5
Bed was comfortable, the room was a good size. The street noise was minimal & didn't bother me. Great location to walk everywhere. Bar was great. Classic hotel & beautiful lobby. I stayed by myself & felt safe.
- 1/5
Staff was very unfriendly. Avoided eye contact so was hard to get their attention in their bar and grill.
- 5/5
Our room was simple yet clean and had everything we needed. We only stayed 1 night for the Dodgers parade and it was very convenient. I would recommend. Only issue I had was the narrow ramp for handicap getting to elevators on 1st floor. My husband is larger and rode his handicap mobility scooter and had a hard time with that ramp. It was a challenge.
- 5/5
The room was lovely, though I wish I’d had a city view. We loved the jazz in the beautiful bar.
- 5/5
Beautiful property. Clean and nice staff
- 2/5
The rooms are old, outdated, and clearly in need of renovation. The bathtub was peeling, and the water never got hot. While the hotel lobby is beautiful, the rooms don’t match that standard. Unfortunately, I would not recommend staying here until the rooms are updated.
- 2/5
Hotel Parking was unavailable during our stay . We had to park a few blocks away. Restaurant service was horrible , and additional fee was required for late checkout despite roads around hotel being shut down for parade .
- 4/5
Lobby looks nice and beautiful but the room looks old; parking very expensive and not included

Not a 5-star experience. Bathroom shower was terrible with the shower head not effective. The toilet seat is $9.99 plastic special. Carpet worn and old. Service was rude and unfriendly. Maybe a 4-star but felt like a 3 star
- 3/5
I enjoyed my stay there but the $200 deposit hold placed on my card still hasnt come off and it apparently takes 7-10 business days thats unecceptable....i checked out Oct 27 and its Nov 5th? i wont be going back
- 5/5
Beautiful !!! You will absolutely love it !!!
- 5/5
Rooms were clean, the hotel is beautiful and historic. All the staff was very friendly and professional.
- 3/5
The staff was lovely, but the bathroom was tiny, with mediocre amenities, and there was constant noise from HVAC. The bedroom itself, though, was quite spacious, and the mattress was terrific. Location was marvelous.
- 5/5
Everything was good
- 2/5
Convenient location. AC only, no heater. No hot water from shower.
- 5/5
I love the property for its history. There has to be a way to revive the rooms without losing the aesthetic. Figure out partnership/funding to come from a donor like the Getty Museum in a collaborative project regarding “preserving Los Angeles Historic architecture/culture by breathing life back into Biltmore Hotel’s carpets/curtains/wallpaper”

Everything about our stay was perfect! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, the room was exceptional — spacious, clean, and beautifully designed. The hotel’s architecture is stunning, and the facilities are top-notch. Truly an amazing experience from start to finish!
- 3/5
The tv didn't work and it took them 3 hours to fix it. Although the buildind was beautifull the sdjoining room has a paper thin door so you could hearvthe occupants snoring. Wifi was spotty. Wouldn't stay there again.
- 5/5
Stay was amazing, would definitely stay here again.
- 2/5
Well my first stay a couple months ago I got stuck in an elevators for 45 min. Your staff compensated me for my stay ( it was only for a couple hours ) and I was thankful for that ,how ever this stay I was locked out of my room for an hour . Out door wouldn’t open , I went down to the desk got new keys . Still wouldn’t open . Went down to the desk and they called for maintenance and asked me to satay by my door . 30 min later no one. And . Went back down to the desk and they called maintenance again . Waited for maintenance , maintenance could fix it said was a security problem . All In all my wife sat I had to go to the fro desk 5 times and wait in the hallway out front of our for up to an hour . Wasn’t fun
- 5/5
Where to start, my sons love the pool and sauna, I love the free breakfast and late snacks, everything was walking distance, we will be back.
- 4/5
Very good hotel, would definitely stay again. Only problem i had was the ghost of the 8th floor vending machine, it always took all the damn sprites😭
- 4/5
Staff was friendly and helpful
- 5/5
In a word…exquisite
- 2/5
Well it was clean but far from an exceptional experience. Everything in the rooms are completely run down . The bathroom was small but all furnishings are not just old but need to be replaced. The beds were ok comfortable but almost embarrassing at sight I was flat out lied to on the description of the rooms it said if u book a room on the floor with food club floor u get upgraded beautiful furnishings and food . I arrived at 9:30 at night due to I was there for an over night flight they told me there that my room wouldn’t be nicer and very small they would upgrade me to a junior suite . Well the first one I demanded to be moved out of it the next was just as bad it was late around 10 at night at this point I just went to bed . Now the hotel it self it fabulous it need to be all redone and it would be the most fabulous place in LA incomparable
- 5/5
Clean room, great staff, amazing historic building
- 3/5
Outdated room for the price was not worth it. Very small beds, a lot of street noise.
- 5/5
Amazing all round cant wait to go back!
- 1/5
Bathroom door was terribly jammed, needed 2 people to open/close it.
- 5/5
This was such a beautiful hotel. Everyone was so nice and helpful. Parking was a little rough, but honestly that seems to be just the California norm.
- 5/5
breakfast was very pricey - we chose to have it else where
- 5/5
This is a beautiful Grand Hotel! The Staff was warm, friendly and helpful. There is a nice Pub right of the lobby with excellent food and atmosphere. I will definitely stay here when I visit LA again.
- 3/5
Came to LA to see a concert at the BM, stayed here overnight 4 adults. The double beds were not a normal Queen size. one adult or Two kids per bed. Elevators were super busy at check out. Had to use the stairs. Beautiful old building, very nice employees, but clearly short staffed.
- 5/5
This is one of my ALL-TIME favorite Hotel properties worldwide and I am a lifelong non-stop business traveler. The Biltmore Los Angeles is a must stay Hotel here in Los Angeles primarily because of the wonderful and awesome staff across the board. Absolutely gorgeous property that includes just a literal history of historic Los Angeles in pictures and artwork across the Hotel property. LOVE IT!
- 5/5
Hotel was conveniently located in downtown close to a fair number of places to visit. The service was great and there was a decent amount of parking.
- 5/5
Good area and cool hotel
- 4/5
Good was great, though options were limited.
- 5/5
Historic hotel Maintained beautifully

- 5/5
Beautiful hotel in a great downtown location
- 5/5
The Biltmore is a grand hotel in downtown Los Angeles. The room and bathroom are showing their age but still reasonably comfortable.
- 4/5
We couldn't fully enjoy the hotel because there was constant noise. The valet wasn't there when I arrived.
- 5/5
Great Staff. Beautiful Grand Old Hotel.
- 3/5
The lobby and common spaces are lovely but the guest rooms are dated
- 1/5
The room was dirty upon check in we found dried excruments in the toilet. The staff was not apologetic and was slow on resolving the issue. No hot water in the room, Tissue paper box was empty, cracks on the ceiling and the windows were dirty and paint peeling off
- 5/5
So gorgeous!
- 3/5
Bed was hard. Woke up with back pain. The check in staff snobby, rude. Not staying again $300 a night at least have a comfortable bed and nice staff for checking in.
- 5/5
The room was good. There was only one set of electrical sockets on one side of the bed. Would be better to have them on both sides. The room upgrade was great. The hotel is really beautiful.
- 4/5
Las camas son demasiado angostas, casi individuales
- 4/5
Beautiful hotel. Centrally located. Outstanding housekeeping staff. Valet/Self-parking expensive.
- 5/5
Nice
- 5/5
It’s Downtown so if you know you know. Downtown has limited parking. So if you can get valet. Or pay to park
- 4/5
It’s walking distance to where my event was so it was very convenient
- 2/5
I will definitely never spend the money to stay here again.
- 3/5
The hotel itself is beautiful and the staff are very helpful. The room we had (which I paid for an executive room) had chipped paint on many tiles in the bathroom, the mixer tap/shower didn't work very well, the bath was not very clean and the air con in the room was so loud it was difficult to sleep. Bed were comfy at least.
- 1/5
Did not sleep a wink the first night due to partiers next door
- 2/5
It did not meet the quality we expected.
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staffs.

- 5/5
Incredible Hotel. The entire Staff (Front Desk, Lobby Staff, Housekeeping, Restaurant Team(s) and EVERYONE else across the board) working here are absolutely WONDERFUL Ladies and Gentlemen.
- 4/5
Room was nice, clean. Good room cleaning. Downtown LA. Walked to a few restaurants. There were some homeless etc. when we walked downtown. Did not dine in the restaurants. We were looking to eat unique local foods and the dishes on the menu of the restaurants were more standard meals. The biggest issue we had was that the park across the street had a loud music festival that lasted until midnight both nights we were there, and we could hear it loud through our room. Hotel itself was really nice, but the area around it is not perfect.
- 2/5
Front desk are not the friendliest, you wont be treated as a paying guest Hotel does have its own charm, specially in lobby and common areas, rooms are very basic and a bit outdated
- 5/5
Love the Biltmore. Old but historic. Nice staff, beautiful restaurant. Wish they had better coffee, outlet near coffee machine would be nice. Had to make coffee in the bathroom-only outlet available. Would have expected conditioner. Only shampoo was available.
- 5/5
Staff was amazing. Room was historic as was the rest of the property. Only negative was lack of beverages ie. Vending machines were empty and there is no other location on property to buys beverages to have in your room.
- 5/5
Cool historic hotel. Rooms are basic but perfectly fine, and the building is stunning.
- 4/5
They need to expand the dessert menu (really bread pudding and cookies?)
- 5/5
Our chambermaid was excellent
- 2/5
Beautiful hotel but paid for upgrade room with lounge access to be told lounge was closed. Still charged the $66 upgrade feel. Room was nice except the bathroom. Mantle over the toilet looked like it was coming off the wall. Towel rack came completed off the wall. The shower faucet was broken and there was no hot water. The hot water worked in the sink but not the shower. Not impressed this the hotel and will not visit again.
- 3/5
We got a club level room and the club lounge was closed last night for the 5:00 to 7:00 free wine and drinks. Instead they gave us each a free drink voucher. Felt like I overpaid.
- 5/5
This is a very nice and clean hotel in downtown LA. Love staying here when I come into town.
- 4/5
Staff was friendly!
- 3/5
The room smelled stale and musty. We thought it would dissipate. It didn’t in the 2 days there. Checkin staff were condescending. Rolled her eyes when I asked about my Expedia upgrade.
- 3/5
Rooms are out dated need a remodeling
- 5/5
A couple of smaller shopping complexes within walking distance
- 5/5
Bilthome

Our stay at the Biltmore was lovely from start to finish! Loved the Italian Spanish decor and all the fun events happening at the hotel.

This is a beautiful historic hotel. I love staying here when I travel to LA.
- 5/5
This historical hotel is simply breathtaking when you walk in. I enjoyed my stay and the staff were great.
- 5/5
Awesome building. Rooms are old but that’s expected. New carpet. And I liked the lounge
- 5/5
Nice restaurant downstairs.bar was fast and nice staff.quick process when I had any questions
- 3/5
The overall stay was good but the folks at the front desk could have been friendlier and more helpful.
- 3/5
Room smaller than advertised. Closet in bathroom very awkward. Towel racks too low.
- 5/5
Clean venue and the location
- 5/5
Lovely hotel.
- 3/5
Parking was expensive and they don’t tell you upfront about it
- 4/5
Everything’s good but bad soundproof
- 3/5
The hotel was great. The staff was great. The room was pretty good except for the bathroom. The ceiling was leaking water into the sink. Hopefully you guys can get that fixed. Not sure if it was coming from the air conditioner unit or not. It was room 823.
- 4/5
The hotel is absolutely beautiful and romantic. The bed and pillows are not comfortable.
- 3/5
It feels like the rooms are poorly maintained. It use to be much nicer. But our room was dirty with stains on the drapes that looked pretty bad. Also the homeless around the area is pretty bad. We wanted to get food around the corner but the rift raft was really really bad around the area. Also this time the valet parking was really rude and not a good experience and you would think for $70. It would have been much better. We also had an upgrade due to our expdia status and they said it was an upgraded room. So needless to say it was a let down. Not to mention the room was very very noisy and we couldn’t sleep. The room was on the Starbucks side of the building, I wouldn’t suggest that side ever again. Our room was 1028.
- 4/5
Staff very good
- 5/5
As always - Biltmore staff is beyond excellent. Happy to talk and answer questions. Your customer facing people are amazing!
- 5/5
The architecture was absolutely divine, I was gobsmacked by every part of the lobby. Such a beautiful hotel
- 3/5
Moving son into usc. The hotel is in a decent location for downtown. As others have mentioned the lobby and entrance is nice, staff is friendly and we found helpful. The rooms are extremely outdated and even with the appearance of being clean they still looked ragged and old. For the cost of the rooms the company should invest in this historic hotel and update the rooms. This place could be amazing and yet it's disappointing due to the rooms. Plus the least the hotel could do it provide water. Ridiculous that they offer nothing.
- 5/5
Amazing, beautiful hotel with all facilities. In the centre of downtown with great metro links. Highly recommend.
- 3/5
Horrible loud concert noise. Worst noise ever experienced at a hotel. But staff were amazing about taking care of it. Overall price, fees, and auto tips on the food and beverage were outrageous making the VIP discount worthless if you don't want to pay their prices. Barely makes a dent.
- 4/5
The AC was too loud and the mattress was not comfortable. Otherwise great stay
- 5/5
The service staff was outstanding. The room was great. The bed was too soft in my opinion but it was still comfortable. Great stay
- 5/5
Elegant hotel. Great staff. Great central location.
- 5/5
Lovely property. Highly recommend.
- 5/5
Gorgeous historical hotel in the heart of Los Angeles
- 5/5
Lovely old building. Room was getting a little tired, but still elegant and clean. Service in restaurant was great.
- 1/5
Dreadful hotel. Staff ar rude, noises is insane, the area is dangerous to walk around. Absolutely nothing positive about this place
- 5/5
Great Hotel, would stay again.
- 5/5
Charming place, very good service, lots of history all around. Fun to see parts of the hotel that were in movies and TV. Easy walk to the LA Metro subway.
- 5/5
The hotel holds a lot of nostalgia and that was the reason I stayed at the Biltmore.
- 5/5
Loved this legendary hotel. Downtown was quiet.
- 4/5
The hotel is beautiful. It's definitely old, but kept up for the most part. I enjoyed the photos of all of the movies filmed in the hotel as I walked the hallways. Whatever cleaner they use has an overpowering sweet floral scent which was unpleasant, but we onl

Its history in one of our favorite films, Ghost Busters among others.
- 3/5
Cons: Service was not that great. I called ahead because my travel companion was arriving before I could get there and I wanted to add his name. Also, because of a change in who was going with me, I mentioned I'd booked a room with two double beds, but would prefer a King if one was available. The guy on the phone was super friendly and said he'd change the reservation accordingly. However, at check-in they still gave us two twin beds. Also, I'm OneKey VIP and I didn't get anything to redeem for the 20% off of my one Food & Beverage purchase. I will say, however, service in the bar was very good. Our room had no view to speak of, but also the windows were extremely dirty. Finally, they had urns of ice water in the lobby, but when I went to fill my bottle the first two times, they were empty (ice, but no water). I asked the front desk the second time if they could be refreshed and he told me that wasn't his job and when my companion asked, he begrudgingly gave us two plastic bottles of water (which I was trying to avoid hence why I had my own bottle). The next morning the urns were gone completely.
- 5/5
Great stay. Loved the Ipedema restaurant down stairs. Only negatives is the high parking fees and valet is a bit slow.
- 3/5
.
- 4/5
Just one problem with the room; leaky tub faucet
- 5/5
It’s historical past and beautiful grand architecture.
- 5/5
The room was clean. The beds are small. The property is dated. The folks are friendly and friendly.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel
- 5/5
Love the history and movie location usage
- 4/5
Rude staff and poor customer service
- 5/5
Great place to stay. The building has so much history and it’s so beautiful. Very close to lots of restaurants and coffee shops. Staying here is a good experience.
- 4/5
Dislike: noises around hotel, no curtain in bathroom
- 5/5
We had a wonderful time at this historic hotel. Bring your bathing suit!!
- 5/5
Lots of entertainment and amenities
- 3/5
We had to change rooms because our original room’s outlets did not work and the tub did not drain. The 2nd room was better. We weren’t aware that we had to pay $50 a day for parking in the detached dark parking garage next door.
- 5/5
Good location, nearby coffee shops. Right in downtown, but great historic feel.
- 5/5
The the hotel the staff supper nice
- 5/5
Staff is friendly, helpful and professional.
- 5/5
Everything was excellent
- 4/5
Conveniently located in downtown LA, the Biltmore is near many dining options and areas of interest that can be easily accessed by foot or multiple means of transportation. The hotel has an exquisite lobby and ample areas for concerts and other get-togethers. The room we were in was spacious enough for the two of us, but there was a small ant problem in the bathroom. Aside from that, we enjoyed our stay at the Biltmore and would consider staying there again, if the chance ever arises.
