    While convenient, the parking garage was $60 per night. Also, the hotel charges another $29 per night as a "destination fee - shuttle/resort fee," whereas, your only real destination nearby is the airport. Before booking, read the fine print on the hotel website as the additional charges were not readily visible on hotels.com

    Beds were comfortable but on the smaller size for queen beds. For us, we needed a great location the airport which was provided and free shuttle bus included. Great restaurant on site. We arrived at 7am and had paid for the previous night. We had booked a room for 2 Queen beds but hotel tried to place us in a room with 1 queen and sofa but issue was resolved.

    It had everything I required from great location to a late checkout. The staff were lovely and could not do enough for you! From checking in to the various food options offered, to getting the shuttle across to terminal, couldn’t say enough about how well run the Sonesta operation is run. Pleasantly surprised!     We wanted to be close to airport since I did not need a car this trip. The 24 hr (every 15 min)shuttle service was great. Took less than 10 minutes to get to and from as there was barely any traffic. The hotel doesn't have their own garage but has access to a garage that is laterally steps from front doors. 3.50 an hour or 24.00 all day( didnt state overnight price).1 really cool feature when entering garage was form of payment. You tap your credit card on screen to be let in. When you leave you tap card again and it will automatically charge you for time there. So you don't have to remember your paper card and go pay at machine. I know this because our son came to visit and pick us up. The room and bathroom was really clean and newer looking and although I could see the planes coming in and out I never heard them. The bedding was so soft and comphy. There's a coffee shop that makes great coffee downstairs and yummy pastries. We did have breakfast last day at restaurant but unfortunately was not the best. Buffet food was not warm so we ordered off the menu but that wasn't much better. Flavor ? Egh. Apart from that restaurant we definitely would stay again.

    Had a quick stay overnight after a much delayed flight got me in to LA at 3am, the night check in clerk was so cheerful and kind, I was so dehydrated from some long flights she even gave me extra water to take to the room. Didn’t eat breakfast but enjoyed the quiet room and complimentary room coffee and the nice bed linens and pillows.

    Disappointed that the “roll-in” shower was not accessible. They were kind enough to bring a portable shower seat, but that doesn’t help that there was a 3-4” threshold to get over to get into the shower which does not qualify as a “roll-in”. Please make adjustments to how you describe this amenity that you consider wheelchair accessible for others who may rely on this as a necessity.

    As soon as I arrived, the staff was extremely helpful. They were able to answer the questions that I had, and did it with a smile. The room was very clean. Fully stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body soap, and lotion. Would absolutely stay there again.

    The hotel is really close to the airport, clean, comfortable, staff is really friendly. We brought a car to the hotel and parked in a close by parking lot. However, the signs to get out of that building were not clear and we ended up going out with a lot of luggage and walking like two blocks to enter the hotel.

    Super clean and modern nice value for your dollar it was a last-minute need and it was late and the staff was so friendly, but I have to say these airport hotels are usually very choppy but this one is modern thoughtful super cute and I’m a hotel snob to give you context. Not where I would normally stay but in a crunch I did and I’m so glad I’ve discovered it. I just need them to have vanilla creamer and a different creamer type in the room for coffee cause I have a coffee drinker need some French vanilla creamer not the powder kind but honestly, the value that you get is super cute

    Our room was very spacious and a high floor with great view. It was ready earlier than expected which was great. The staff were kind and helpful especially the airport shuttle team.     The housekeeping department was generally better, and several housekeeping staffs were kind and pleasant, room was clean. Silvia, one of the cleaning lady was especially friendly and helpful. The breakfast was also good. However, the front desk needs significant improvement in both professionalism and customer service. Some staffs were not friendly, not knowledgeable enough about their duties, slow in handling issues, In particular, one Black gentleman at the front desk as very pushy and rude during both in-person and phone interactions, which made the experience uncomfortable. Even after we checked out, the front desk told me they would send my receipt by email, but I still have not received it. Today when I called the hotel, the front desk lady said she needed to help another guest and would come back to me, but she never returned to the call, so I eventually had to hang up myself. Jose, the front desk manager, was very professional and handled issues quickly and efficiently. His professionalism, communication skills, and attitude toward guests showed the highest level of service we experienced at the hotel. It was easy to understand why he is the manager. I hope Jose and the hotel can provide additional training to the front desk staff.

    close to hotel I am requesting a full refund for my stay at Sonesta Los Angeles Airport LAX. My party was 3 adults and 3 children, and this booking was made specifically so we could sleep during a six-hour layover. The accommodations provided were not usable for our party. Staff stated that the reservation would not be honored. Because this was a very short overnight layover, there was no meaningful time to wait around for a possible fix. The hotel failed to provide the service as reserved and as needed for the purpose of the stay. I am not requesting a courtesy adjustment. I am requesting a full refund because the accommodations were not delivered as agreed.

    Tub had drainage issues maintenance man had to be sent to our room. It did appear the tub wasn’t clean throughly as well. The supervisor did give our room comp tickets for the inconvenience which was a plus. If you are a soft sleepy you will hear people walking through the hall. Walls are very thin.

    No Restaurant aavialble for dinner - the susih bar and tap room were closed mid day on for a private event. Great location to the airport - 5 minute shuttle which was great - but no food minus processed grab and go was dissappointing. luckliy I could walk to the Marriott to eat, but it wasn't great.

    The hotel is generally good, but the experience during the initial check in was a bit off. The door man was insisting on hold my car key, which I do not have due to having rented to e car and not given one, my phone was the access to the car, but when I offered to give him my phone, he refused. The check-in lady was quick but with a why-Bother face. The younger door man later on was very friendly and the even younger one next morning was also very attentive and helpful.

    The room was beautifully appointed. nice furnishings; nice bathroom. cleanliess and management were a problem. hallways needed vacuuming. dust accumulation in the corners, in front of room doors. chipped paint. worse, water glasses in room were wrapped in paper (nice detail), but when we opened one of the packages, we found lipstick on the glass and had to order a new set. even worse.. the garage situation. the parking structure belonged to Hyatt so Sonesta guests were sent to the upper floors. the garage entry was hard to enter. we had to return to hotel desk to get an entry code as the gate wouldn't lift with our credit cards or email reservation. a major waste of time and the desk attendants were not immediately helpful (finally, a desk person gave us a QR code to enter the garage). All of this after a grueling 15 hour plane flight.

    The room is nice, location is nice. The downside is that this is not a kid friendly hotel. Our baby still relies on breast milk as source of meal which requires us to place her milk in a cooler with freezer bags. Especially since our flight is over 10 hours long. This hotel and their front desk staff gave us such a difficult time to utilize some sort of freezer or medical grade freezer. The front desk guy said he would check with his manager and just went to the back for a second, came back and said no. We explained the necessity as to why and there was no problem solving or any sort of understanding. We had to get manager involved and even that had some hesitation. Please do not book this stay if you have children and especially babies. Lack of service in that department.

    You could hear a lot of the jet takeoffs and motorcycles roaring by on the street quite loud. Our side was facing LAX airport so may have been normal but would have been better on back of hotel for getting a room to get sleep. Breakfast burrito and sandwich very greasy if you order from front counter. May be better if you have time to eat in restaurant, but not sure..

    Nice property, but a couple of things that could help, calling and talking to someone is sometimes impossible, i left a jacket on a Sonesta airport shuttle , just getting a reply to a email seemed a monumental task, with no reply if they could or could not find it. The description of where the shuttles pick people up could be much better, even a simple picture of a typical location would help.

    Check in was easy. Bernadette was friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and clean. Bed was surprisingly comfortable. I love the shower doors as they kept water from getting on the floor while showering. The only downside to the location is all the air traffic which is to be expected since your less than a mile from LAX.

    Rooms were clean the staff was nice. What stood out was the amount of food options at the hotel and you didn’t have to go far, but I would suggest that the property be more lenient with non-business travelers because of the extra expenses. Like the 200 dollar a night deposit even if the room is paid in full. I think for most of us that were staying there the deposit per night was the most shocking and should have been stated in bold print before booking the rooms. If you’re in LA for leisure say for more than 2 days please find another hotel unless you don’t mind the extras that come with staying at the property. No complaints about the resort fees because I understand that but a $200 a day deposit is a bit excessive when you have a CC on file for any damages if needed.

    Check in was busy but easy, many people were checking in late due to the expo one block over. Staff was efficient/kind, getting us all thru as fast as possible. We had a late dinner at the restaurant which was also very good, with great/attentive staff. Where the one star is coming from was the 5:30am loud dragging and banging noises downstairs under our room. After 30mins of this insane noise that didn't stop we call downstairs to complain to ask the front desk to attend to whatever was happening beneath our room. The noise halted for about 30mins before it started up again. We were not able to fall back to sleep, so we got up and started our long drive home being that we weren't going to be getting any sleep. We stopped off on the second floor to see what was underneath our room. There are no rooms on the second floor, only board rooms. So we were jerked out of deep sleep because the hotels staff needed to rearrange board rooms, dragging tables across the ground and slamming things around an empty room that reverberated through the ceiling up to our room and even once they were told how ridiculously loud they were being they did not stop for more than 30min at a ridiculous hour for a Sunday morning. If you stay at this hotel, I would suggest refusing a room on the third floor. We were room 327 which has a weight room on one wall next door and loud board rooms under the floor. We should have left for home at 11pm at night, at least then we could have slept....

    after a difficult night of cancelled flights, the Sonesta was a perfect choice to chill and figure out the rest of my journey to Boston. While the wait to check in was long, that was totally understandable given all the cancelled flights due to the blizzard. Once I got to the check-in desk the person was awesone and understanding of my plight. The bed was very comfortable and I was able to get a good nights sleep after all the stress of the day. Overall the room and bathroom were spotless, and even the TV was easy to navigate!

    I have arrived at 10pm and left at 11:30pm with no clarity. Luckily, Sonesta promised to cancel without penalty, which is ridiculous given that check in time is at 4pm. This is the worst experience I have ever had with hotel booking. This was my first booking with Sonesta and probably will be the last.

    After an extremely frustrating time getting here as a result of the winter storm 2026, the staff was overly pleasant and even allowed us to check in early! The room was spotless, the bed is extremely comfortable and the shuttle to and from LAX is very helpful. 10 out of 10!

    Check in line was nearly an hour long Jan 23rd at 10pm. Management has to train staff to be more efficient with check in. The slowest I’ve seen at any hotel anywhere in the world. Also charge $29 at check in for shuttle and room amenities (such as water and coffee). Had to call security to come up twice at 11pm - midnight as screaming (potentially unattended child in room next door). When I called down the 2nd time operator said “Security was up and didn’t hear any screaming.” I asked for them to come up again and knock on my door so we can listen together! LOL Room itself: Beautiful / modern / clean. Housekeeping staff clearly well trained & meticulous. Shuttle drivers were to and from the airport were both awesome / friendly / safe drivers (10pm Jan 23 and 730am Jan 24th).

    I was really disappointed and embarrassed with the check in process. I arrived at the counter and mentioned that I had booked and paid for my reservation through Orbitz. The front desk worker reported to me that she found my reservation but had no record of me paying. I provided my receipt to her that I paid for my room already and should only pay the fee associated. She continued to insist that I needed to pay for my room. I requested to speak to management. The manager asked to see my receipt that I paid for my room. I provided the receipt once again.She still was not convinced. She asked me to provide a bank statement to prove that I had provided payment for my room. Luckily I had that available. Finally after feeling embarrassed in public I was able to get my room keys. At no point did I feel welcomed by staff or received an apology for their mistake.

    Might be getting there at 2 AM and there was a long line waiting to get rooms. They were very hospitable and understanding given that I had just driven 17 hours and they got me into my room very quickly. And they even were fine enough to give me a late checkout.

    Our room did not have hot water. We could not shower for two days, we have a five month old and that was not ideal. When we brought it to their attention we had to wait so long and someone didn’t show up until after we had to leave for dinner. When we checked out I explained my concerns and was met with an “okay”. While they did take off $50 for destination fee, the inconvenience was not worth the stay. Our LA stay was partially ruined because of the hotel we picked.

    The first two shuttle drivers i encountered were great but the morning of checkout, the driver seen my mothers scooter chair and tried really hard to discourage us from using the shuttle instead of trying to be accommodating. If it wasnt for my partner and an incredibly nice patron of the hotel, we could've very well been stranded and missed our scheduled ride to our cruise point. On top of this, on the morning of check out as well, we found that the pump on the lotion bottle did not work. It was broken. When I asked housekeeping to replace it, the lady waved me off and told me to call the front desk. Overall, my experience was not very good. The staff were a mess and did nothing to compensate for the inconvenience.

I just work here and don't have any liability". The agent is a representative of the company and should care for the success of the employer/hotel.     Airport shuttle, particularly Erik the driver was the highlight. This will be the last time i stay here...i don't expect much from an airport hotel, but this was less than average. $200 deposit they charge is Las Vegas level; there is nothing you can get for $200 at the hotel to justify that type of deposit. When i checked in at 1130pm; there were 30 people in line. Ended up being a grifter type seminar patrons trying to get their parking validated. This was being completely mismanaged replete with surly and lazy staff. Hotel is showing its age...rooms have been recently renovated.

    There were around 35 guests a head of me. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had checking in. Everybody was aggravated and even a fight broke out. I had to check out to catch my 6am flight at 3:30am. So I had the room for less than 3 hours total.

    The room was clean, and we were given two bottles of water. We actually used this room to rest as we had a red eye back to the east coast, and at check in, they advised that next time we could call for a day-stay, for exactly these types of stays. Parking was reasonable at $25 for a one time in/out (in to park, out to leave, not in/out multiple times which was more expensive). The shuttle to the airport was great and very convenient!

    Check in was really good. I got there really early and was able to get an early checkin for $59 (it would have been free after noon; however I was there at 9:30am. Room was clean and spacious. Only complaint was no hot water. When I showered water was tepid at best. When I booked I used filter of airport shuttle and breakfast included. When I went down for breakfast it was not included.

    The room we were assigned, Room 502, was infested with ants. We found them on both beds, the shower, the desk, and the bathroom counter. Basically everywhere. When we called downstairs to insist on a room change we were told the hotel was filled and they would notify the manager and the engineers. By the time the engineers showed up, we kept finding more ants and we packed up and went to the lobby, telling the engineers we couldn't stay there. They wanted us to leave the room so they could spray and then get cleaners in there while we waited. This wasn't a viable option since we didn't want to be in a room that was just sprayed with insecticide. We told the front desk we wanted a new room or they would have to find us another hotel with space. Amazingly enough, they found a new room for us without ants. It wasn't a particularly great experience since we didn't arrive until late, although the engineers were just doing the job they were told to do and were polite. The biggest issue was of course the ants and the fact that they lied to us saying there were no other rooms available. The woman at the front desk was very nice and tried to be accommodating. We would have also appreciated hearing directly from the manager.

    The Sonesta is fine as a hotel: clean, friendly, respponsive. The restaurant options, however, are ridiculous. Hamburgers are $32, for example, and that is one of the least expensive non-prepacked meals; which are about $16 each. I ended up getting a top raman-like bowl that I had to bring to my room and put hot water in. I was in line with three other people looking at the menu and all three of us walked away and said it was ridiculous. Imagine buying bugers for a family of four?! It would be $128, before taxes or gratuities!

    The 200$ hold on a card is crazy. That took all of my money as soon as I got there. This should be included in the original statement from Expedia. I will never book here again. My room was dirty. Had hair elastics from someone else in the drawers. Paid for early check in which I regret considering the room was dirty. They were painting the walls right outside of my rooms I got paint on my shirt.

    I didn’t have the best experience staying here unfortunately. Our room wasn’t cleaned properly, my pillow had a large stain on it and there was hair all over the bathroom/in the shower, and we had issues with our parking pass. We then spent $81 on a 10” pizza, club sandwich, and a molten cake which were all nasty. They used marinara sauce on my BBQ pizza & the chef tried say it was Bbq sauce and only remade it once I pulled the cheese off to show him it was in fact marinara. What I will say it the staff was helpful but i definitely won’t be staying here again.

    Needed to spend a night at LAX and the hotel was very convenient for that. The shuttle was easy to find and came relatively quickly. They were kind enough to provide me a late check out. The fitness center had good equipment.

    Very nice hotel. Airport shuttle runs every half hr and is only maybe a 5 minute ride. It was perfect. Would definitely stay here again if I have an early flight from LAX to beat the traffic. Room was spacious and bed was comfortable.

    We were there for a concert so had our own vehicles. Front desk gave us a better price for parking which was greatly appreciated. My Expedia status offers 20% off on all food and non alcoholic beverages, which is really nice. I really like this property. Second time staying and I would return.

    I had a wonderful stay at this establishment. Newly renovated room, with a new 55” TV, plus showerhead with strong pressure. Amenities are up to par. Overall, I recommended this for whoever would like to stay close to LAX.

    What a pleasure the Sonesta LAX was… The room was clean with a comfy bed, great television and a top-notch shower. What more could a weary traveler want? I enjoyed both restaurants I ate in and would definitely book here if I ever have an extended layover again.

    I have called 4 days in a row to get my folio for the the remaining portion that was owed at the hotel. I wish they would just let us pay in full through hotels.com instead of me having to call every department to get a folio receipt. Still haven’t received it my folio.
