All Good 👍
- 1/5
Did not enjoy.
- 2/5
I like the location, easy walk to port, restaurants, museums. This hotel is poorly run/maintained. I could feel the springs in the mattress (plus a dip) on my side. No iron or ironing board in the room. I had to ask reception for one. No blow dryer in room. The chest drawer would not stay closed. I had to prop with a napkin. No coffee maker. Only two bath towels in room, I had to request additional. No “do not disturb door hanger”. The swimming pool area was closed and the pool empty. The window had a gap and all the outside noise came through. The entire property needs deep cleaning and a remodel.
- 4/5
Couple blocks from cruise port!
- 3/5
The two cleaning staff that we met were nice. However, the owner was a bit curt with us when checking in. It was a nonsmoking hotel but the hallways smelled like old cigarettes. The furniture was falling apart, the rooms could’ve used a coat of fresh paint, and the overall experience could’ve been better.
- 1/5
Dirty Dirty ,needs up dating from rugs to bathrooms. No pool and junk at bottom. Morning coffee was empty when we asked for some we were told one pot a day. That’s at 930 in morning.
- 1/5
Room was updated but the bathroom wasn’t. Floor was not cleaned. Room smelled like heavy cleaning chemicals used to cover the scent of weed or cigarette smoke. Location to the harbor is great, but the bathroom is a dump.
- 1.5/5
The bed was GREAT, very comfortable. The location was very close to port, perfect walking distance. The room itself needed LOTS of work, from a random sink in the middle of the room, to crazy smells. I was very worried about taking a shower in there so I didn’t even attempt it in my 1 night stay. The carpet was up in a couple places and it seemed like a random mix of utilities put in random locations.
- 1/5
Not cleaning
- 2/5
Very old and run down. Needs to be updated badly.
- 2/5
Nothing really. Place didn’t look like the pictures on the booking app , place was dirty , the rooms where dirty holes in the wall place need repairs .
- 5/5
Great location near the cruise port.
- 2/5
The location was amazing. Walking distance to the cruise terminal was important to us. The San Pedro fish market was across the street, so it was a great option for dinner. The establishment needs a complete remodel. Carpets were old, our shower curtain rod was ready to fall off, the bar soap they provided was about 1" x 1 1/2", and the room just needs some TLC.
- 0.5/5
Location Dirty
- 1/5
The hallways smell to mold. The staff are hiding in a room just waiting to charge you more. The care and maintenance of the rooms and bathrooms are lacking in more than just a comfortable way, but in a serious deferred maintenance situation.

Everything was functional as per room. Air conditioning and parking
- 0.5/5
Hotel was within walking distance to Virgin Cruise Ship terminal and around the corner from the 6th Street eateries. The daytime front desk clerk (owner? 60's and with trendy glasses) was surprisingly unpleasant for someone in the hotel/service industry. Miserable demeanor and off-putting. Not suited for this type of job. He was unwilling to store our luggage in what ended up being his "everything" room (disorganized and messy) so were forced to kill time with our luggage. He told us to come back at 1:30PM - only 1 bath and hand towel, and he say that 2 of us were checking in. We didn't like his disposition so asked the night desk clerk (nice young man) who was the complete opposite. The common areas of the hotel were rundown, gaudy and worn-out paint job and carpeting. The hotel room was equally rundown (please see attached photos). The tub faucet knob was barely attached and felt like it was ready to fall off; the drawers of the built-in cabinet stayed closed by paper shims!, the air conditioner had caked-on dust.
- 1/5
Good location. On site parking. This place is completely run down. Peeling paint, bathrooms are falling apart. Only one towel for 2 guests. Property had a weird order. Pool is dry and unused. Basically the owners are doing the bare minimum and taking advantage of people who cruise due to the close proximity to the port. I felt this was more of an “hourly rate” type of hotel. The worst I have ever stayed in.
- 3/5
It’s a little run down but it’s ok for a one night stay before a cruise.
- 3/5
Place is very outdated and looks and feels old with a distinct musty smell all around. The staff were great with special requests but not overly friendly. Wouldn’t want to stay for more than a single night for sure.
- 1/5
THIS WAS THE WORST HOTEL EXPEERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD WITH AN EXPEDIA RESERVATION. THE STAFF WAS GROUCHY AND NON-COMMUNICATIVE, OUR ROOM'S FURNITURE WAS LITERALLY FALLING APART (DRESSER DOORS OFF HINGES AND LEANING ON THE DRESSER) FILTHY BATHROOM, WE HAD TO HAVE OUR ROOM KEY REKEYED 4 TIMES ONLY TO DISCOVER THE LOCK BATTERY WAS DEAD (ANOTHER NEW EXPERIENCE). DON'T STAY HERE!
- 3/5
I’ve read good and bad about this place and overall it wasn’t that bad for what we needed it front desk person was very nice. They had coffee in the morning. They let us park car for the whole week while we were on the cruise and it was cheaper than the actual parking lot for the curses And basically just walking across the street so overall we will be back to this place when we take another cruise
- 5/5
Everything was Great Topnotch Service! Great Rooms and have Great Safe Parking lot for customers! Must recommend to stay!
- 5/5
Love the fact I can park my car there while I cruise.
- 2/5
Only plus.. close to cruise port
- 1/5
I wanted to leave the moment we walked into the room. So dirty and uncomfortable. I will never stay here again and do not recommend to anyone. DIRTY!!!!!
- 4/5
Close to cruise port could walk there.
- 2/5
The man at the front desk basically ignored us for the first couple minutes when we arrived. He was slow and inattentive. The hotel was run down and poorly maintained. Was right next to the cruise port so we booked it. Was cheap, so worth every penny. But don’t expect too much .
- 3/5
A good place to stay before a cruise. Very close to the cruise port, a walking distance away. Place is very outdated but room is considerably clean. Our room A/C was working well and very helpful staff.
- 2/5
This hotel has had its day, dodgy wires all over the room. Noisy fridge, chipped and dirty furniture and hallways in bad repair. Three soda machines only one working and they don’t even have a restroom once you have checked out. Forget it!
- 5/5
A 5 block walk to Princess cruise ship Bristol within one block walk Coffee free in lobby
- 3/5
Property needs an upgrade. Rooms spotless
- 3/5
The price was excellent and the location seemed safe, however the tradeoff for the low price was a significant maintenance backlog and lack of amenities, like a coffee maker.
- 2/5
Dump
- 3/5
Not a great place. Compared to other hotels in the area you get what u pay for. Hair in the tub. Bar soap so dry it barely lathered (bring your own). Hole in sheet. Place is old and worn. Needs updating. Great location for cruises.
- 1/5
They take my deposit from an elderly lady 80 years old and tells us to leave cause we paid at 1145am check out and they have no right
- 5/5
Ok
- 3/5
Room was adequate for a stay before a cruise but not any longer. Price and parking is very reasonable.
- 3/5
Great location to cruise terminal. Hotel is older and needs to be updated.
- 4/5
I didn’t like that I didn’t have a microwave
- 2/5
Very run down I would not stay again
- 2/5
Ac was ok. Room not clean & dated. Nice from exterior. Inside was seedy.
- 1.5/5
The location, the staff was nice The property was extremely dated, the building has a constant smoke smell. And someone decided to start smoking in the hotel at 2am
- 1/5
Cleanliness and very dated. Very grundgy furniture and scratchy sheets
- 1/5
Overall, it did not feel like a comfortable or safe place to stay. I would not recommend this hotel unless significant improvements are made in cleanliness and upkeep.
- 3/5
Very old, in need of good cleaning and upgrade.
- 2/5
Air worked, No coffee, ok for a Old run down hotel.
- 1/5
We actually looked for another place to stay but couldn’t find one. So we slept in our clothes on top of the sheets and put another layer on top of the pillows. We also used the water in our bottles to brush our teeth. My son needed his inhaler all night something there triggered his asthma.
- 1.5/5
I really liked that I only had to stay there one night. I liked that there was an awful smell in the elevator so you knew you were in the right spot. The staff didn't seem to care that we were there or if we ever came back which was nice because I don't really like when people are fake nice and they didn't even pretend to be. The location is perfect, I just wish they would sell it to someone who would take better care of the place. The smell, drafty windows, you can hear everything happening on the street even with the windows closed, the mattress was rock hard, basically everything sucked
- 3/5
It was ok for one night before our cruise. Looks like this was a Motel 6 location that is independent now. The property is tired but functional. The room had a nice view of the Harbor and Maritime museum, but there was a lot of street noise. Room itself was clean but tired. Ok for one night.
- 1/5
There was a bullet hole in the bathroom door while they put a patch on the outside they forgot to cover the inside. AC smelled and barely worked. Bathroom tiles were falling apart and filthy I didn’t even take a shower because of how disgusting it was in there. The bed had no fitted sheet or blankets. The location to our
- 3/5
Not the best. Linens were clean. Bathroom needs renovation.
- 2.5/5
The hotel is in a great location. It is close to good restaurants. It is close to activities. The staff was nice. Parking was convenient. The hallway smelled musty/dirty. The windows are single pane glass and do not block much of the busy street noise. Bathroom doors do not have locks and one of the rooms the bathroom door did not shut fully.
- 2/5
Carpet in hall looks like it’s from the 80s and hasn’t been cleaned since then either. Dirty socks left in our room from previous person renting. Ice machine broken. Sheets were the only thing I would call clean
- 1/5
There was cigarette ash all over the bathroom vanity and sink, and the sink did not drain. When we got moved to the room next door, it reeked of dirty old cigarettes (non-smoking room) and the AC kept shorting out. So we moved back to the original room, cleaned it ourselves, brushed our teeth using the shower, and woke up to an overflowing bathroom sink (that we did not even use). The shade curtains had giant holes ripped in them.
- 1/5
The room was horrible. There was burn holes in the curtains; stains all over the mattress; the bathtub was disgusting. They didn’t even have a blanket on the bed. Just sheets!
- 4/5
Room in poor repair, pool closed. Loved location and staff anazing
- 4/5
It was a very affordable option if you are cruising from Princess dock. No extras but clean and walking distant to the port.
- 2/5
This place is falling apart. The ceiling in the hallway had flood damage and holes. There were tiles missing in the bathroom. The toilet had mold growing in it under the rim. Also, they took carpet out (thank god, due to the smell of the hallway carpet) but we had a connecting room door in our room and it had a 1 inch gap. We could hear the other room loud and clear. It was cheap but not worth the money
- 3/5
Great location. Guy at front desk
- 5/5
Good
- 3/5
Although I understand this is an older property, it could use a fresh coat of paint and be updated a little.
- 3.5/5
Front desk was helpful to tell us where to get food; appreciate the 30" late check-out; the location was excellent for catching the Norwegian Cruise Line Bliss ship that is about a half-mile away and easy to walk to nothing
- 1/5
NASTY AND DISGUSTING sums it up!
- 3/5
It was inexpensive
- 1/5
Property is disgustingly dirty and run down. The bed sheets had holes in them, no mattress cover, no blanket, linens and towels were stain. Floors were dirty and sticky. Furniture was broken and damaged. Curtains were Sun dried and torn. Couches were dirty and stained. Most lights did not work. Hallways smelled musty and moldy. Bathroom was grungy and toilet didn’t work properly. We left after one night of sleeping in our clothes. This hotel should be condemned.
- 3/5
The hotel is very old and outdated. Nice location but definitely meeds a face lift.
- 5/5
Nice
- 3/5
good walking distance for food. and was able to walk to our cruise across the street. kind of gone downhill since our stay 6 year ago. But a lot has happened in life since then so no complains just a big thanks for having an available room. and thanks for the morning coffee. no breakfast.
- 1/5
SMELL OLD KIDS RUNNING HALLS EARLY IN MORNING ROOM OLD
- 0.5/5
Very close to cruise port which was GREAT. The hotel was OLD, OUT DATED, had black mold in the bathroom, and just WASN'T what I excepted.
- 1/5
Run down hotel that’s only good if you need a one night stay
- 3/5
The hotel is very rundown and in disrepair. From the outside it looks nice.
- 2.5/5
.The staff was very kind. The price was good. The hotel was pretty run down. Not just ourtdated but banged up furniture and broken hardware.
- 1/5
Gross and underwhelming. Would not recommend
- 1/5
Worst hotel
- 4/5
No breakfast offered The room. Was very dated and in disrepair. Cleanliness is ok.
- 2/5
Gave this place a shot due to recent good reviews I saw and its proximity to the cruise port. I don’t know what kind of rooms previous reviewers were used to but this definitely missed the mark for us. Has so much potential but we will not be staying again. Severely in need of a total gutting and remodel. We had lots of staining, burnt outlets and sense of unease. I would never stay here with my children.
- 3/5
The hotel is not updated.
- 4/5
The location and comfy beds.
- 3/5
Room was big but could use some touch-ups; my window was on the harbor side and the road noise was very noticeable at night.
- 1/5
Horrible hotel ! Rooms were disgusting, beds were horrible
- 4/5
Yes
- 1/5
The check-in experience was poor, with no staff initially present and an unfriendly employee. The room was dirty, outdated, and had a strong unpleasant smell. The bathroom was especially unclean. The window door were already open upon arrival, and there were strange noises and drawers opening on their own, which made the stay feel unsafe and unsettling. It felt like someone was in the room watching. It was so late when arrived I wasn’t able to book another hotel. I should have done my research before booking but thought it seem okay since it was next to cruise port. Overall, it felt like an unsafe, poorly maintained hotel — the worst the guest has experienced.
- 2/5
The linens were clean. The beds and pillows were not very good. The lobby, room & hallways looked run down. Not great for price. Close to cruise port though.
- 2/5
The buildings and guest rooms are not in a good state of repair. The pool was not in operation.
- 2/5
Next to major road and traffic noise was terrible. No sleep
- 1/5
The hotel is filthy rundown and not looked after. It is a shame that the owner does not take any pride in the hotel. Floors and walls of room were dirty, needs a deep cleaning. Walls needed paint here and there. Took elevator once and so glad we made it out, took stairs the rest of the time. Will not stay here again. I am putting up video and pics of the hotel on YouTube. Do research and decided for your self if staying in this slum is with the save on money.
- 1/5
we checked in for a 3 night stay, and left for the day, our room was cleaned (we didn't ask for it to be cleaned) and an item we left in the room was taken out or thrown away, management said there was nothing they could do without proof (we left it in the room?? it wasn't something you take with you on an outing) on top the beds felt like spring mattresses, the channels on the tv weren't entertaining, thin walls, we could hear the room next door snoring loud, the floors made our socks black, the ac was loud (but did run cold so that was nice). i'm not saying there's anything wrong with motel 6's BUT this used to be a Motel 6 so if you don't like staying in those motels DO NOT STAY HERE because you get everything a motel 6 comes with (bad rooms, bad management), just with a nicer name, 1 star because the AC was cold, 0 stars if i could
- 3/5
Room was ok, could use some TLC, repairs and paint. Staff was fine. OK place for one night. Good location to cruise pier.
- 1/5
The next room wasn’t that much cleaner and the bed was broken
- 2/5
We were looking for a budget friendly place to stay before our cruise. We technically got it, we were only there about 12 hours and I’m glad we didn’t need to stay longer. The rooms themselves were pretty gross, I was afraid to touch anything. It smelled like smoke and weed in all the hallways. We survived, but I would not stay there again and would not recommend.
- 2/5
Garbage left on the tables from prior guests. Carpet at least 60 years old that should have been replaced at least 40 years ago.
- 5/5
It was convenient for the cruise that I was going on the next day.
- 1/5
The rooms were beyond disgusting. Stained dirty sheets moldy missing panels. It would be very difficult to make it worse legally
- 1/5
Room was very dirty and dusty. Did not feel like safe neighborhood
- 3/5
Good enough for the night before boarding a cruise. Wouldn't stay any longer.
- 1/5
Rooms were horrible. Staff was not very helpful. And the place is run down
- 2/5
The room smelled moldy and musty. The entire hotel is in desperate need of a renovation. The washroom was in poor condition with the silicone seal around the tub in poor repair. The location to the cruise terminal was the only redeeming feature.
- 3/5
the rooms are old and run down. the lobby, elevator and our room had a weird smell. the sheets/pillows smelled weird too. it was an ok stay for one night.
- 5/5
An excellent budget friendly hotel. Room was very clean although a little rundown.
- 2/5
One star for the location, real close to the cruise port. The other star is for the hotel. It's pretty scuzzy. The bathroom was filthy, the halls haven't been vacuumed in months I'd bet. Take a towel to bed to wipe the crumbs and crud off your feet from walking around the bedroom to keep it from getting in the sheets. Two towels for 4 of us. The room reeked of mildew. The AC helped a bit but it was too cold to keep it on. The breakfast was closed looks like, permanently "for my safety" according to the sign taped to the door. I believe it. It didn't seem like crime was a problem. Everything was old, run down, rusty and filthy. It's obvious the owners have extremely low standards or simply don't care. Coming back to this cruise port next year, but won't stay here.
- 2/5
Not real clean. Pool and hot top closed and filled with leaves. Location great. No warm water in sink. Staff great. Building looked neglected on inside. Great place if you only need somewhere to sleep. No coffee on weekdays or safe in room. Dresser and shower handle needed repair
- 1/5
AC/heater did not work, mattress had broken springs so it bottomed out, floors were dirty and never cleaned. Spend more and stay somewhere else.
- 2/5
The bathrooms were depressing - needs to be updated ASAP - the bedroom area was ok & spacious, there was coffee at the lobby in the morning. Staff was friendly.
- 1/5
There are paper signs scotch taped all over the place telling visitors what to not do and the consequences. The walls in the dimly lit narrow halls have the paint blistering and falling off. The room had holes in the walls, doors, moldy tub surround, decaying mirror, bed with springs you could feel, sheets that were wither plastic or polyester. Paint scratched off the walls and doors. We turned around and left immediately.
- 2/5
Old building, needs updating badly and no water in the pool!
- 4/5
Clean enough. Great staff.
- 4/5
Clean room .
- 2/5
Typical budget hotel. Several items in need of repair; missing tile in bathroom with large exposed sheet rock, hole in side of tub, mirror flaws, wall sconce shades worn and crooked, and bathtub unsafe surfaces. I was standing still in the tub when I turned the shower on and the water alone caused my feet to go out from under me. Bruised thigh on the side of the tub, which could have been much worse had I not caught myself with my arm. I reported this to staff in the morning. The safety fixes I suggested such as a mat, handholds, and so on were summarily dismissed.
- 4/5
clean rooms
- 3/5
Room was terribly run down rusty and not clean. Front desk did let us have two extra pillows. We were also very disappointed that we could not get the 49er game on the room television would have had to change rooms in order to see the game
- 5/5
Clean and quiet
- 3/5
Place outdated.
- 5/5
Really quick check in, very friendly staff. I cruise a lot and will stay here again on my next trip.
- 4/5
Ok
- 1/5
The Room was UNSTUITABLE and UNSAFE for US to stay in.
- 4/5
Courtesy staff. Answered question and brought us the extra pillows
- 4/5
Was very convenient and only 5 minutes walking to the cruise terminal
- 5/5
Check in was so easy. We can see the port from the room! Great value for the closest room you can get to boarding a cruise.
- 1/5
Very disgusting hotel, do not ever stay there, not worth the worry, had to sleep in our clothes, they stained the doors and we got stain all over us!
- 3/5
The rooms coverall condition was in bad repair.
- 3/5
Just a basic, low cost place to sleep before a cruise within walking distance to cruise port for most.
- 1/5
Room was filthy, shabby. The staffs were not professional, even could not answer some normal questions regarding hotel around information, such as, close bus station, restaurants close by, city maps, etc. even the owner of hotel replied that they might not suppose to know these information and you can leave if you are not like to stay! They will not refund the deposit! It is unbelievable! In my 35 years of travelling experience. It was the first time to meet this kind of worst experience!
- 1/5
The staff was very friendly and courteous!
- 3/5
One night was fine, you get what you pay for. Wouldn't stay more than the night.
- 5/5
Relaxing area
- 2/5
Friendly enough staff but this hotel is very run down. I guess you get what you pay for.
- 5/5
This hotel is an older building but is well maintained and clean.
- 3/5
Rough hotel in a rough neighborhood. Lock your hotel room door and block it with your bags. Great location and walkable to the cruise ship terminal but we didn't feel safe staying there.
- 5/5
Staff was great. Stayed after a cruise and they let us check in at 10 am with no extra charge
- 2/5
Check in went seamlessly but the rooms could use some serious help. I understand the rate is great but the stains on the mattress protector and hair and stains all over the bathroom made it impossible to sleep.
- 5/5
Rooms were clean but old looking, could use some paint
- 3/5
Old rooms, could use some work - paint would help
- 1/5
This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at in all my life
- 5/5
Very close to breakfast and port
- 5/5
Love this room cause we can just walk across the street and jump on a ship or get off a ship and walk across the street and stay and now my favorite room is room 107
- 4/5
Older simple hotel. Nothing fancy about it. Age shows in it's cleanliness. Could use a facelift of painting room walls and hotel hallways, carpeting and elevator. Outdoor pool was closed. Not sure why as the weather was quite warm. Large room. Bed was clean and comfortable. Pipes drained very slow from shower/tub and sink. Great location though. Walking distance to cruise port and restaurants were a couple blocks away. Convenient if you are taking a cruise and only need to stay 1 night.
- 4/5
I come here every time i get on a ship. Its perfect, lg room, acrooss the street from ship, low price. PERFECT.
- 1/5
Paint and total Reno!!!
- 1/5
Beautiful area around and really nice and friendly people . Enjoyed our meal at the outdoor ish market.Nice area for walking. The place looks good from the outside but inside is dirty and and poorly maintained.Definately would no go back.
- 4/5
Staff very helpful! for example: Rocky waited for us at the back door upon our return from supper, in order to help us out of the rain sooner; so kind!
- 5/5
Loved it
- 1/5
I never leave reviews but i dont want others being as thrown off as i was
- 1/5
The person that is supposed to be helping in the front desk is very rude, there are no restrooms for customers in the lobby, and there were some public ones crossing the street and he didn’t have the courtesy to direct us to it, we had to go drive around looking for a restaurant or store, and we needed them after a long ride, the location is primordial but installations, service and accommodation are not good.
- 4/5
The location was convenient for our stay near the port.
- 3/5
I would not stay in the place again.
- 3/5
No hair dryer, shampoo samples there was not enough for one person room smells
- 1/5
The room was not like the pictures , upon arrival the cabinet was broken the phone was ripped off the line and it
- 1/5
Greeted by front desk clerk. Arrived approx 11:30 am. He was quite rude. Total attitude. Called previous night was told could check in it would be no problem. Upon arrival mgr was very rude said he had nothing. Then he found room 102. Room had 2 full beds. The room needed quite amount of work. Bathroom dirty tub and floor. Bathroom door jam was all paint missing and chunks missing on door. Curtains needed replacement. Curtains didn't close properly and holy. TV kept turning off and on. Floor felt gritty. Fridge kept defrosting with water from freezer puddles on floor and shelves. Blood stains on bottom sheet.
- 3/5
Lobby office and halls smelled of cigarettes. Room was clean and spacious
- 2/5
Need to clean Lobby. Holes in bathroom along base boards. Staff not present in lobby.
- 1/5
The rooms are derelict and very neglected. Although it’s easy to access the port, this hotel needs some serious upgrades. The hallways smelled of urine and our bathroom looked dirty.
- 2/5
The hotel is not well taken care of. Room was dirty. Bathtub had hole in it. Towels were dirty.
- 4/5
Need to repair the bathrooms that we felt the room was cleand I love staying here cause it's across the street from the ship and I just walk there
- 4/5
Room needs updating, but it was clean & spacious. Hot tub wasn’t operable & no in-room coffee available though. There is a good restaurant for breakfast two doors away. Overall, a good stay, very reasonable & close to the cruise port we were headed to.
- 5/5
Everything OK!
- 3/5
It’s ok. Rooms (especially bathrooms) need updating.
- 1/5
We did not end up staying in the hotel and had to walk out due to the horrid conditions. Do not stay here for any reason It is dirty and smells horrible.
- 2/5
It was a grungy hotel. Really run down, smelt awful. The staff were not welcoming or friendly. No hair dryers in room, had to request one.
- 5/5
Yes
- 2/5
Would not recommend. Sink had hair in it not Kleenex in holder and no blow dryer in room. Tub was very slippery and shower head was low
- 5/5
Was nice close by the port for our cruise the next day
- 4/5
Rooms are old style but clean
- 3/5
Very good location. Rooms are outdated.
- 2/5
Yes room felt.neglected. paint job. New furnihings needed. No pool.
- 1/5
Nasty dirty room. The first room wasn’t even breathable and we rejected it. The second room was barely okay. If we had not been traveling all day we would have cancelled and went somewhere else. The floors and countertops were filthy and the beds had mysterious gross crunchy bits inside the sheets. Absolutely disgusting! The pool was empty and the yellow brown curtains reeked like cigarettes and filth. The mystery stains on the ceiling and carpets showed the obvious neglect to the property. Do not believe the positive reviews on the internet, this place is GROSS!!! We took photos of the unbelievable filth and holes in the walls and door, the bottoms of our shoes are black from the dirty carpet.
- 3/5
Great location
- 1/5
The room was very dirty. Shower did not work. Smoke alarm disabled. Sink would fill while brushing teeth and took forever to drain. Water spots all over walls. Very unkempt appearance. Outside looked much better than inside. Is there anywhere to send you pictures?
- 3/5
Awesome location, right across the street from the pier. My first room was shabby. Torn curtains, musty smell and the bathroom was clean but old and needed updating. I complained and the Front desk changed my room to nicer one.
- 3/5
The staff consisted of a clearly at the checking desk, who was polite. The hotel was clean, but very run down. Some of the lamps in the room didn’t work. There was a hole punched in the bathroom door. Was a great deal, but don’t expect much.

Had stayed there before back in 2018 & was pleased with it then, so I decided when going for the next cruise to stay there because it was nice & I was thoroughly disappointed. Likely won’t return unfortunately.
- 3/5
Old and run down… great walking to the port , shops and restaurants.. good for a night stay for cruise -
- 3/5
Check out process was quick and easy. Located very conveniently close to the cruise port.
- 3/5
Room was dated. Clean and large. Fridge and microwave. Front desk fellow did his job but that was it. No friendliness or chit chat. Was adequate for what we needed but would probably look elsewhere next time.
- 2/5
Staff had attitude and the place was run down. No coffee maker or microwave, or a phone in the room. Not even close to the pictures. was NOT pleased period. I have used EXPEDIA before and have always been very pleased. This place "Portside Inn might have been something in the past, but not now. I was surprised that it was on the list. Should have been listed next to Motel 6.
- 2/5
Staff were great, the place is a real dive. It's proximity to the cruise port was great.
- 2/5
Would not recommend the Portside
- 1/5
It was dirty
- 4/5
It is a short walk to the port and very nice to stay at if you are going on a cruise.
- 2/5
The hotel is badly in need of refurbishment or at least a deep cleaning and repainting. It was tolerable for one night.
- 3/5
The hotel is old. The room smelled badly at check in. The AC unit was in need of repairs. All the buttons to the AC unit were broken or missing. There were no towels in the room at check in. The hall way carpet was badly stained. Lots of painting needed to be done.
- 1/5
room had lamp shades taped to the wall that were ripped, black tape around loose electrical wires, smelled old, musty, no fitted sheets, very old, hard mattresses, would not recommend
- 1/5
The condition of this hotel is terrible. It is falling apart and filthy. There was trash in our room, dirty floors, cigarrette burns in the curtains. The ac unit has no knobs, shower rod coming out of the wall. I really thought this was a bad joke. I was totally catfished online by the photos of this hotel. Warning to others.... do not stay here!
- 3/5
Tv didn’t work had to be swapped out, half the electrical outlets in the room didn’t work / no power. WiFi was spotty at best. Front lobby doors stay open all night so anyone can walk in from the streets, no security on premise.
- 1/5
The picture are ok but the the hotel is very filthy and dirty. I won’t recommend to anybody.
- 1/5
Property was very dirty & very outdated, pool & hot tube empty & rooms & hotel were gross, would never recommend
- 3/5
Check in was very quick and easy. Front desk staff was friendly. We stayed here one night before our cruise. It worked fine for one night. I definitely wouldn’t stay here long term. As other comments mention the place is in rough shape. There were stickers, trash, and hair all over our room. However the convince of it being within walking distance to the port makes it bearable for a night.

Yes
- 4/5
Old and unique building revitalized some years ago. Windows opened and large room with both tub and shower. Mini fridge and microwave. Bed was adequate. A bit dated with needed paint and touchup.
- 2/5
I'll just tell about my last 2 days. We were able to check in at 10AM which was nice. We requested a king but was given two double beds. One bed had pee stains all over the mattress and other stains. There were no actual mattress covers or protectors. The other mattress had a set of fake lashes. The pillows and cases were yellowish and smelled like purfume. The walls and floors were filthy. There were punch marks in the bathroom.... The rooms have deadbolt and are supposed to have a turning lock but mine did not work after the cruise. There's a note on the room door that says something about for your safety, please lock the deadbolt The location is AMAZING and if they were to clean it up I could see this being successful.
- 3/5
Room was clean but a bit worn. Hall ways have an old musty smell probably from the old worn carpet. No smell in the room thank goodness. The gentleman who checked us in was ok. No pleasantries at all.
- 1/5
The staff was good only thing is my room started to leak water from the restroom and from other parts of the room too I took video of all of it
- 1/5
This hotel is in serious need of renovation and proper maintenance. The room was not clean, had a strong unpleasant odor, and the fire detector was literally hanging from the ceiling. The bathroom looked like it hadn’t been properly cleaned, with what appeared to be used towels still hanging. My daughter and I felt extremely uncomfortable and uneasy about sleeping in the beds—it just didn’t feel sanitary or safe. Overall, the condition of this place was very disappointing.
- 3/5
Good location but very old and needs updating
- 5/5
Close to the house
- 1/5
It's an old building with poor maintenance and moldy smell
- 3/5
very convenient location. quiet night, slept very well. safe and secure. The place is a bit run down and needs better maintenance.
- 2/5
The room was pre paid and the desk clerk said it was not. I had to pay and work it out when we get back from our cruise.
- 3/5
The hotel is very old. the carpet is either dirty or faded, I could not tell which. The air conditioner in our room looks like someone smashed it with a hammer. It was barely hanging on the wall. The door did not fit well in the frame, we put a chair in front of it when we went to bed because we were nervous. The telephone was not plugged in, we found it in a drawer. No clock, no coffee, no tissues, only 2 towels. The man at the desk when we checked in was not friendly, he barely spoke. However, the man working the desk when we checked out was helpful.
- 2/5
It’s old and dusty. I don’t recommend it staying here.
- 5/5
Convenient stay
- 1/5
I got so many itches in my body and rushes. So I check the bed and as soon as I saw the mattress I didn’t want to check more bcuz I’ll ran out of the place and it was late and was very tired so I’ll let it go. It was the worse experience I ever had it in a hotels. They put so nice pictures like the place is really nice so they lie to you. Bad bad….
- 1/5
The hotel looked like an old motel 6 and the room was horrible. The bathroom was old need to be upgraded. I was scared to shower and I slept in my clothes on top of the bed.
- 4/5
Excellent service but the hotel is a bit on the older side. It was an excellent place to stay for a night before getting on a cruise ship.
- 1/5
Blood on the ceiling in the bathroom, tore up and old. Had to change rooms once because the tv didn’t work. Just super shady. People were nice though.
- 2/5
The first room they gave us had puddle of water under the AC unit and dirty towels on the dresser. The next room was slightly better with no puddles. There are holes in the walls, the bedside lamps have shades held on with packing tape, the bed was so uncomfortable and we were told by our Uber driver that this place was a homeless shelter and to watch out for bed bugs.
- 3/5
Cheapest option around. Old building and creepy vibe. You get what you pay for!
- 4/5
So near to the cruise ship we could walk there
- 5/5
Beautiful location and great price
- 2/5
Room was in horrid condition ... no shops/food close
- 3/5
This is a dated hotel and could use some updating. But, it was close to the Cruise port.
- 5/5
close to the
- 1/5
Got bed bug bites all over. This place was awful and not clean
- 4/5
Convenient location for the cruise terminal
- 3/5
No tissues in room bathroom. The host staff were unfriendly.
- 2/5
They need new beds so loose and uncomfortable and blanket instead of only bed sheetsthe bed sheets looked like curtains instead they need to remove the mold from the windows overall its need to be upgraded the mold needs to be gone because is not safe for kids
- 2/5
Hotel is in a great location for cruising. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel is very dated and dirty. The worst hotel I have stayed in.
- 1/5
Nothing was in working order. Main Elevator broken, ice machine broken as well as no batteries in the remote. Continental breakfast was not being served. I asked the guy for coffee and he said there's a bakery on the corner. Super disappointed that I even payed for this stay
- 1/5
Bad
- 5/5
Room was clean with air conditioning views great if you're facing the water. Coffee shops close by
- 4/5
Walking distance to food outlets the water ways
- 1/5
Feet turned black when walking barefoot fresh out of the shower. Expedia makes this place look way nicer than it is. Spooky vibes for sure
- 2/5
The hallways had not AC it was hot and humid.
- 1/5
Horrible kept hotel, old smelling, ripped carpet throughout, broken tiles every room, no mattress pads, old wrinkled sheets. I felt sorry for the front desk clerk. Total Dump
- 2/5
Outdated smelling old carpet
- 2/5
Not bad
- 2/5
The property is old and definitely not clean but if you just want to stay a night because you have a cruise, this place is good. Close to the port that you can walk.
- 2/5
Very very noicy, not able to sleep at all.
- 2/5
The stay was ok I just made the best of it just wanting to get somewhere near to the port as I was going on a cruise…..But the the place looked ancient and dated and so many things was wrong in my room from the fridge broken to giving me a spare one but was so dirty was afraid to put anything in it ….Outside of Portside Inn looked way better than inside.
- 4/5
The hotel is a little old. The room I had was very large.
- 3/5
It was reasonably comfortable.
- 2/5
The door was broken and didn’t lock properly. Made the stay feel not very secure. Rooms are clean but very rundown. Spend the extra $50 and stay somewhere else.
- 4/5
Pleasant
- 5/5
Quietness and AC I loved but being charged for parking was a first for me and the smell when we first walked into our room
- 2/5
Terrible customer service from the front desk, off the rip. Although I was only in town for a music festival and didn’t need anything fancy, the bathrooms were just…icky. Also, walls are PAPER thin. We were able to clearly hear our neighbors entire conversations. Only upside was the view we had from our room that overlooked the Maritime Museum and water.
- 3/5
The hotel itself is in a decent location. There is a nice walk to the Maritime Museum and some little shops and cafes are right up the street. The problem I had was our room was gross. I feel like we were put into a left over room because of our late check in, but the room was very dirty. The carpet had visible stains and there was dust in the bathroom all over the walls. There was also questionable stains on the ceilings. There was no screens on the windows.
- 2/5
We did not sleep well due to the noise of the traffic outside. If you bring earplugs you will probably be fine.
- 4/5
The room definitely felt a lil run down, but it was clean and the staff was great. It worked well for what we needed at a price point we could afford. My boyfriend and I loved exploring the little waterfront by the hotel and had a great view of the port. There is ample parking and we had no problem with Lyfts finding us
- 2/5
Hotel needs a lot of works.. Good location
- 2/5
luckily we were only staying for a weekend festival and didnt spend much time in the room, the room was prety worn down and not too clean, the tv reception was very bad, my bathroom wall was leaking water everytime the above room showered or used the sink so the floor was constantly wet with puddles. also they charge $10 nightly for parking.
- 1/5
Room was non smoking but smelled like smoke, window screen broken looks like someone was trying to get in also no screen on other window the sheets were dirty and stained one of the outlets was burned.
- 1/5
Looked decent in the photos but don’t be fooled. This place needs a lot of work. It smells like bleach and hand sanitizer in the lobby. Our room smelled like cigarettes. The screen on the window was bent from either someone trying to get in or out. I told the gentleman in the lobby we couldn’t stand the smell so he moved us into a suite. The suite was better smell wise but still very poor quality.
- 1/5
Dirty
- 1/5
Yuckkkkk but good location
- 1/5
the bathroom was so disgusting with hair and fingerprints and there were roaches in the rooms. do not recommend, especially if you have kids.
- 3/5
Staff was nice
- 3/5
Found hair in bed. Bed was a spring mattress. Bathroom walls dirty. But desk staff was really nice as was our view of harbor.
- 1/5
The place was dirty, had holes in the wall, dead bug on the floor and graffiti in the room. The pictures on Expedia did not show what this place really looked like.
- 3/5
Property was basic. Would not stay if it was not cruise convenient.
- 1/5
This place is a dump: Peeling paint, dirty walls, stained mirror, tub missing enamel, a vanity from the 70's, loud AC, fridge did not get cold, lumpy old pillows, the thinnest TP Ive ever seen, the list goes on. The day staff were surely and rude. The best part? Getting screwed for parking charges that were "conspicuously posted" two clicks deep into the property description and not part of final price you pay online for the reservation.
- 1/5
This place is a dump: Peeling paint, dirty walls, missing enamel from the tub, a vanity from the 70's, lumpy pillows, loud air con, no coffee maker and mini fridge that does not get cold. The thinnest TP Ive ever seen. Best part? Being screwed for a parking fee that was "conspicuously posted" two clicks deep into the property description. There are better properties to stay at than this one.
- 1/5
Found dead bugs on floor, room very dirty (dusty/smells like cigarettes) lamp shades dirty, hole in ground/wood flooring, walls/furniture scuffed, bathroom in poor condition.
- 2/5
Front Desk Agent very rude. Pool Clised. Empty facial tissue box. Mirror and and tub
- 1/5
The property was not fully clean and there were roaches in the bedroom. Definitely not a great place to stay.
- 2/5
Obvious feces smears on the bathroom walls and dirty floor as well. The only positive were the large, absorbent towels. Pool was closed and drained although it was 90 degrees during my visit. Spend a few dollars more and stay somewhere else.
- 1/5
Gross
- 4/5
Rate was very good and view of harbor was beautiful. A little run down with scratches on doors, but everything worked and beds were clean. No coffee makers in room, but there was a microwave and refrigerator. Maid saw us leaving and asked if we wanted our room serviced. That was very nice of her to go out of her way to do that for us, so we were impressed by her. Everything we did in San Pedro was within walking distance. Overall, it was a very nice stay and we would love to go back someday.
- 2/5
Horrible, Horrible!!! Walked into a musty room. Air conditioning unit from at least the 1940’s in not working condition. Then front desk attendant upgraded me to a suite in worst conditions. Cigarette butts by the window, musty.
- 5/5
Good value for cost, many restaurants witin walking distance. Right across from cruise port
- 1/5
The rooms look nothing like the add very disappointed overall
- 2/5
First thing I saw when entering and turning on the lights was a roach.
- 1/5
Here are the different things we noticed in our room: - Room smell slaps you in the face as soon as you get in (it smells like a humid room that wasn’t ventilated for 10 years.) - Floor wasn’t clean (we could see dirt and hair) - The bathtub was in a terrible condition (dirty, rusty and pieces of it missing) - There was hair under the bedsheets (which indicates me that they weren’t washed after the previous guest) - The AC unit was full of dust - The door lock (latch) was broken We went to the front desk to request a different room (hopping to get a clean one this time). They switched us to a suite. When we got in, we checked everything and there was somebody else’s glass of water on the bathroom counter and hair on the supposed clean towels. Additionally, the door lock (latch) was also broken and and the AC (that was stuffed with dust) had a little pine tree air freshener in it. so we went back and asked for a different room. We got a different suite that finally was in acceptable condition, aside form the floor being dirty and a missing smoke detector (we could see the wires hanging from where it was supposed to be). I’m aware the place isn’t a 5 star hotel but cleanliness and a normal smell should not be optional, even for a low grade hotel. If we only had to change room once,
- 1/5
DO NOT STAY HERE IT'S FILTHY DIRTY DISGUSTING! The mattress and sheets were stained, the entire room was dirty, there was a champagne cork left on the floor under the ac so you know they don't sweep or mop good, the towels were dingy, there was a half dressed hooker in the lobby then she exited and went behind the alley. The sink was cracked, the walls were stained and paint chipped. The bed was lumpy and uncomfortable. GHETTO GHETTO!!! HORRIBLE
- 3/5
You get what you pay for in all honesty. No cockroach’s “as” everyone states. Just remember you get what you pay for ;)
- 2/5
There was rust in the bathroom, so outdated.
- 1/5
This property is run down, bedding and bed look to unchanged for over a decade, smoke stains on walls and bathroom ceiling. Lots of people not staying at property outside at all hours being load while literally the “security “ guid was sleeping at the front desk, more stuff wrong , too much to write out
- 5/5
Cool area
- 5/5
The rooms were very clean Staff very nice
- 4/5
Convenient for travellers joining the cruise as it's near the port, had to call in how to turn on the shower though as it's kinda hard, but I think it's nice and quiet.
- 3/5
The drapes are old and reaping apart, wall are durty, cigarette ashes, tv dont work, everything is unplugged... the ceiling have water stain, the door lock thing is broken, the pool dont work, the outside light are broken.
- 1/5
No habia agua, esta muy deteriorado.
- 3/5
This property needs serious maintenance. Room door did not close unless use of force. Bathroom door had a hole. And grafitty writing with a chalk or a sharp object on the door.
- 1/5
Not worth it!! Should of paid the extra money to stay somewhere else
- 1/5
Smelled awful trash still in the room just gross
- 2/5
We thought we were being given an upgrade when the desk clerk changed our room to a king size bed. Bed was great but the sink in the kitchenette didn't even have a tap and the shower didn't work. Condition generally is tired and needs an update of the rooms. There was also graffitti of the word FART on the room wall in green
- 5/5
Excellent for cruises. Great price. Great location
- 5/5
The biggest thing aside from the very comfortable room was the ability to leave our vehicle there even after we checked out to board our cruise ship.
- 3/5
The only thing i liked was that it was within walking distance of the Royal Caribbean port.
- 3/5
The location was great across the street from the ports. However, the hotel was very old and worn out. (Dirty) it did not even have a blanket just sheets.
- 3/5
it was decent staying.
- 1/5
If I could give this place ZERO stars, I would! One of the nastiest hotels I have ever stayed in. The only upside to this hotel, it’s within walking distance from the Cruise port. However, next time, I will most definitely pay extra money to stay at a little nicer place and pay for transportation to the port.
- 4/5
The room was clean and comfortable. Inside, the hotel looks a bit run down, but is very good for the price.
- 5/5
We have stayed here quite a few times and it is perfect for jumping on a ship because we just walk across the street and jump on it or getting off a ship we walk across the street and spend the night before leaving town in the city is in walking distance and it's cute and fun to go to
- 5/5
Place was a bit run down inside, but bed was comfy. Landscapers were outside the window at 7 am. Thank goodness we were awake. Beautiful view of the port across the street.
- 2/5
There was hair on all of the towels, sand in the bed, and the shower didn’t work. I would have complained but I was too scared to leave my room. Not worth the cheap price
- 1/5
Smelled strongly of weed. I knew it was gonna be somewhat sketchy but what pushed it over the edge was the fact that they said they had free breakfast and then didn’t.
- 1/5
I selected that location due to a sporting event the following day, requiring proximity to the Marina. However, the premises were characterized by unpleasant odors, soiled and worn carpeting, and an overwhelmingly offensive tobacco smell.
- 2/5
.
- 2/5
Incorrect info on the uber app as well for yhe location .
- 5/5
Easy check in! Super nice staff! It's walkable to the port for our cruise tomorrow!
- 5/5
close to port of LA
- 2/5
Some lights in the room didn’t work. We couldn’t get the taps in either the shower or sink to work. Clerk from the front desk said he would move us but when he came he just showed us how to get the taps to work. We had done exactly what he did but you needed to have the strength of Arnold Swarzenneger to turn them on. None of the ice machines worked. There was no way to make a hot drink - no kettle and no cups. The whole place seemed very run down and a bit smelly.
- 3/5
Rooms are old and dirty, not enough pillows and very small blankets
- 2/5
This is only from the perspective of a handicap accessible room. And in that case, again, I felt very unsafe the entire time.
- 1/5
Mattress was all stained rooms were not as shown. Room paint was chipped everywhere room countertops were stained yellow bath tub
- 2/5
The TV had a annoying sound all night long and the whole was not very clean
- 3/5
It was good enough for one night. Horrible mattress, had to ask for a Kleenex box, no breakfast in sight. But I did not find the room inside dirty as some have complained and I’m OCD.
- 1/5
Online this facility looked well kept up. Once arriving, we shortly discovered otherwise. Needs updating. Found cigarette butts hiding inside the tissue paper holder in the bathroom.
- 1/5
Bed was clean, but that was all. Feet washed off black in the shower from the dirt oicked up on the carpet/floor
- 2/5
Not recommended, bed was sunken in middle, so it was an uphill battle all night, sink was broken, shower moldy and filthy. Couldn’t shower! Terrible. Location was great!
- 3/5
This is a bare-bones hotel. The room did not even have a blow dryer, a coffee maker, or soap and shampoo.
- 2/5
We showed the front desk the picture of the bed bugs but they didn’t seem to care.
