Well you’ll never be lonely with the cockroaches to keep you company. Don’t mind the blood on the bed sheets or curtains, they are just decoration. The spooge on the pillows and drapes are exquisite

There were cobwebs in the dresser drawers, the bed was only sort of made, the tv in the room didnt work, its advertised as pet friendly but offers no place on premises to allow a dog to use the bathroom, a staff member tried walking into my room unannounced. If i had another option, i would not have stayed the 2nd night. I didnt even feel as if my property was safe in the room and packed it up to take sight seeing with me.

The conditions here are terrible and uninhabitable. No running water, toilet didn’t work, bedsheets were filthy and stained, and curtains had mold. Unbelievably disgusting.

The owners are incredibly kind and accommodating!

There were a few positive things. The office managers were friendly and helpful. The parking was free. The location was very convenient to the art fair at the Santa Monica airport. And the price was reasonable.

Needs a complete overhaul. Unclean - look at the Google reviews. Should be removed from the hotel list until it has improved, association damages Expedia's reputation.

Tv all broken

Place need to be debugged, add wi-fi and be painted correctley. The bathroom was atrocious. Bugs in the bathroom. Afraid to puit my suitcase on bed for fear of bedbugs. (luckily no bits this morning)

I would highly recommend NOT staying here. There were bugs on floor and holes in the bathroom walls with mold in them. Pillow had stains on it and the door had no deadbolt lock, just the handle lock. If you wanted to keep the room key it was a $20 deposit. Felt sketchy. I ended up buying another hotel for my 2 nights that was cheaper and much cleaner/safer.

Deadbolt locks just for show, smelled like cat urine all around the courtyard. Open access from sidewalk into courtyard. Did not feel safe at all.

The hotel was shabby and rundown. There were flies and roaches in the bathroom. The electric outlets didn't work. The WiFi didn't work. The upkeep was non-existent. They charged a $20 cash deposit for the key, but the office was closed at 7:30 am so I couldn't get the deposit back. I've been in economical (cheap) motels before. This one was by far the worst.

Walked into the room roaches fell off of the doorway went into the shower found the lavatory sink leaks all over the floor pulled back the bedding and found filthy sheets looked like fecal matter pulled up the mattress found a bed bugs went to the desk clerk asked for a refund was told refunds are not given called Expedia to ask for a refund Expedia said refunds are not given per the owner horrible experience never use Expedia again never go to this outrageously heinous hotel again I booked it online I did not book it in person so I had no idea It was such a filthy nightmare I will never use Expedia again

HORRIBLE: BEDBUGS, ROACHES & MOLD - I had bedbug bites. No working TV, no room service, dirty. Pavillion Motel should be shut down. It's spreading bedbugs and roaches to visitors and the owner doesn't care !!!! H O R R I B L E. Found complaints for years !

This room and property was unacceptable. There were roaches, holes in the walls, and the mattress was nasty and dirty. It reeks of stale cigarettes. I literally booked another hotel and could not stay here. The locks didn’t work and there’s a creepy guy who looks out and watches your comings and goings out his door and window.

I enjoyed using Nintendo Switch the food selection was nice in Santa Monica I enjoyed shopping near the beach the souvenirs and shirts were humorous !

I ended up not staying here. It was terrible once I saw the room.

Awful. Front manager was drunk falling out of his chair the whole entire time. Trash as soon as we walked in the door of our room. Way overpriced, would not make my worst enemy pay this price for this garbage.

I stayed a few hours at this Motel, after concluding that the combination of the lack of a smoke detector and presence of unspecified fumes was unsafe. Stains all over the bedding. I wanted to like this place. The location is great, even around the property. The receptionist was not the worst, he offered another room but what I experienced was a deal breaker.

Lots of bugs, towels had nasty stains and what appeared to be holes from cigarette burns, bathroom door wouldn’t close, room was dirty. Redeeming factor is that it was cheap compared to any other local option!

This place is filthy. Cockroaches and mould in the bathroom. Cracks and smears on the walls. I’m suprised this place is allowed to operate. Definitely the worst place I’ve stayed.

Yes, the reviews are correct. Over 5 dady long legs spiders and 3 cockroaches appeared in the room, and met my shoe. The convenience is friendly staff and a parking lot. Its in an amazing location that is very close to the beach down the same street. Starbucks and gas station available near as well. Its not the cleanest but it gets the job done in a way.

The dirtiest place I've ever stayed. The room smelled like a dumpster, the top key hole of my room didnt lock, the bathroom was very run down, and found roaches while i attempted to sleep. I ended up sleeping in my car.

The drug addicts were out in force, wandering the courtyard (where all the rooms open up to) at all hours of the night….1am…..2am…..3am…..4am. Just horrid. Bugs in the room, mold on the grout between the tiles in the shower (spray some chlorox people!) and the bed was worse than lying on a wooden plank. The only outlet in the room did not work (certainly NOT up to code with one outlet to begin with!) and I must use a cpap to sleep. So NO sleep for me on that horrible night! Close this place down

This property is roach infested unkept and should be shut down. I made reservations for 3 nights. When I saw my room, I walked out and gave back the key. The motel will not even give back my money.

Impeccable, friendly, knowledgeable and supportive well attired staff took great care of us during our entire stay. Would highly recommend this hotel based on the service and quality of the accommodations. Most comfortable room and the beds and all the bedding were the most comfortable I’ve experienced. Thanks to the best group of people I’ve ever met! Great time staying at the hotel only a block away from the best views and shopping and restaurants. Great not having to drive or find parking and a short walk to the pier. Love love love!!!

Fairly a quiet environment

The rooms had visible stains on the bedding and throughout the rooms. There was visible mold in the bathroom and throughout the rooms. The hotel could not give us a key to the room because the previous tenant took the key with them. The hotel did not rekey the room creating a dangerous situation where the previous tenant could enter our room at anytime. Worst experience and ended up having to leave to a different hotel due to unsanitary conditions and safety. When called the hotel the next day to describe the situation the hotel clerk began cussing at us on the phone.

The property is currently under renovation but on a budget, doing only one room at a time. Very basic but dated - probably built in the 1930s - (no coffee service, no microwaves, no laundry. etc.). It has a very pleasant courtyard. The beds were comfortable, but had no headboards for late night reading. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The room was so dirty we ended up sleeping in the parking lot, in the car. Sheets were stained and encrusted with particles. Pillows had skid marks on them. The blanket was covered in little dandruff or the like. This place shouldn’t be open, seems like they never wash their beds ever.

It was filthy, bathroom, floor, sheets, blankets, towels,walls, windows. Heater didn't work, no remote f or TV, and no foods or market near..$20 deposit for key and we leftit in the door so Ami XD took it to office. In the morning he said he didn't have it and that we needed to take better care of there key but I'll give you $10 back. Straight up lied, worst experience of my life, should have slept outside, would have been cleaner and more comfortable. Mo

Nasty, nasty, nasty hovel. Cockroach infested dirty run-down hell-hole. This place should not be allowed to advertise as a motel. Horrible nasty dirty place. I think the bed sheets were clean but they had bugs on them. I didn’t dare touch the one blanket provided. I slept an uneasy sleep wondering what might be crawling on me. Raw sewage backed up into the already blocked shower drain in the morning. Then the owner wouldn’t give me my money back for the days I didn’t stay, let alone the night I stayed. Expedia gave me a one night credit so I lost $250 in un-refunded prepayment. Worst place imaginable. Only in a movie would a motel be this disgusting. Stay away for your health and safety.

Smelling of cigarettes every where it was not an hygiene space smelling in the room and cockroaches every where in the rooms bedroom and closet in the bathroom and in the showers they where everywhere!!! Disgusting.

The blanket on the bed had cigarette burns in it. I turned on the bathroom light to see dozens of cockroaches crawling around. Avoid this motel.

Motel was in terrible shape, holes in the walls, bugs crawling everywhere and the reek a foul stench. The night was a nightmare of loud music and historical laughter. The bathroom had mold on the walls and tiles were missing. I would never stay at this motel.

Toilet was dirty. Floor was dirty. I asked them if they could be cleaned but said they didn't have anything to clean with, so I used a wet towel to clean toilet. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I am surprised you list this place I would never recommend this location to anyone. Bugs crawling ,floors not swept well ,shower looked like it was never scrubbed. Pillows were flat. This place is very dirty. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!!!!

This was a last-minute booking for me, although it was the worse experience. The room the door to get in wouldn’t lock from outside. Second of all the room had roaches, and then sheets and towels were dirty third bathroom had a plumbing issue where water would leak outside from the bathroom. Lastly, in the middle of the night when I was sleeping, someone open my door and were in my room for a hot minute and two I told him to leave and I’m calling the cops immediately I just got up and left, this was around 5am and hung around Santa Monica Beach until 9 AM. Went back to check out, I asked if I can get a refund since I had a horrible experience and the person has audacity to say I’m paying what I’m getting for. I stayed at motels that were less than this one and everything was clean.

This place is horrible the guy at the front desk was a complete jerk very rude and disrespectful completely wasted my time and money theres roaches all over the room, on the bed, and on the walls disgusting. The TV didn't work and they rufused to accomodate me even after i explained to them im currently disabled and they completely had no regard for me or my safety. I was also refused to be given my room key unless i payed the front desk cash which is outrageous after i had already payed for my room online i told him i had no cash and if he wanted to do that i can use my credit card but he said i will not be given a key during my stay and that if i didnt like it to leave elsewhere. I dont understand how they feel like they can treat customers like crap and getaway ŵith it I had to leave because they refused to accomodate me even after i brought my concerns forward not to mention the fact that i was completely cursed out by the employee who sits at the front desk

Unsafe and unsanitary. I'm fine with no-frills places like Motel 6, but this was a different story. I booked three nights and had to leave after one. The rooms surround a courtyard that anyone from the street can walk right up to. And the doors do not have deadbolt locks (they were removed) and all that's left are flimsy doorknob locks that don't work properly. I ended up taking all my valuables with me as I explored Los Angeles. The room wasn't clean when I arrived. Bedsheets have holes, the furniture is beat up, the shower curtain was ripped. Paint was peeling. The room was full of bugs. Beetles were scurrying around the shower while I was in there, and there was chewing gum (!!!) in my towel when I tried to dry off. It was disgusting. Two other rooms had dogs in them, so there was an all-night barking fest, and I couldn't sleep. Room numbers are written on the doors in permanent marker. I could go on, but please don't stay here. For your own health and safety.

I showed up late at night after a long flight from the east coast looking to finally get some sleep. The man who answered the door was shirtless and confused (intoxicated?). I told him I had a reservation and he said "Not here you don't". I tried to show him the confirmation email but he said "Well what do you want me to do about it, I'm already in bed!". At which point I realized that I was not welcome. Even if I could have convinced him that I had a reservation, I would not feel completely safe or comfortable with this hostile man having access to my room. I left since I wasn't going to be given a room, and both Hotels.com and Pavilions refused to give me a refund.

This hotel is night mare. roaches are all over. shady person live(or stay) never shut up and in n out ,dog barking constantly, but the room smells urine (may be dog or outside),roaches all over .they shouldn't qualify as hotel.i really need my money back.

Homeless people live here. Roaches in the bathroom, on the wall, in the pictures. Stains on the bedding. Broken down cars with old supplies on and under in the parking lot. Cots for homeless to sleep on in all but one or two rooms. Did not stay there. Asked for refund. Told Expedia to remove this as a motel because it is a homeless shelter.

Terrible experience never recommend to stay there was a old pa asking me to stay in dirty room and sheets and never offer a clean room. Run . Will never come back.
