The Palihouse West Hollywood is a stylish and well-located hotel with friendly staff and comfortable rooms. However, some guests have experienced issues with noise, construction, and inconsistent service.

Palihouse is in the perfect spot in bh, literally a 3 min walk to popular spots like Joan’s, Carla cafe and la la land. The staff are amazing, and very helpful. I’m so happy I found my new place to stay when I come to la!

I thought this hotel was like a mini Soho House experience. I loved the decor and the service was great. The beds were also comfortable!
- 5/5
All the staff were helpful, kind, and knowledgeable about the hotel. I enjoyed my stay and plan on returning when visiting LA next month.

Excellent service. Outstanding service.

got double charged, once for my initial reservation on expedia and then at 4am by the hotel for another room charge. I communicated that to the front desk and they let me know that it is due to using a third party website and its an error that happened when completing billing on their end. This is not the first time it has happened to me and happens at different hotels so I am starting to think it is due to Expedia.

Cute aesthetic hotel, comfy bed, cute pool area Honestly was a super overpriced hotel and we were very disappointed. Put in the booking notes for a nice room in the tier we paid for and was given probably the most budget of the hotel. No complimentary water and felt like a hassle to ask staff to fill bottles. Staff offered no help or enthusiasm to help whether it was to organise transport or interest in helping us find things to do. I wanted to love this place but there is far better for the price we were charged

Checked out early in morning. Aked for the bill. I was told the bill would be emailed. Checked my email, no bill was sent. Called again for my bill, again was told the bill would be emailed. No bill, no emailed. This is not acceptable and very disappointing.

Nice boutique hotel. Location!
- 4.5/5
Beautifully, Artfully decorated. Details through through for visitors in search of a semi apartment yet boutique setting. The bed was also very comfortable! Love the convenience of the location and that everything was included in my room microwave, cutlery, small fridge. The gym was small and dark, but understandable given the location.

The Palihouse is a very nice easy place to stay near W Hollywood. PHrancisco at the front desk was so accommodating and always smiling. The hotel is adorable and room was very comfortable. Note that the pool is smaller than it appears in the photo but is adequate and the gym is literally in a closet with no windows or air so we walked outside instead.

Great location, great size rooms, friendly desk staff and valet. Highly recommend and hope to stay again.
- 4/5
Great property and area. Rooms are big and staff are helpful. Disappointed in the lack of cleaning of rooms. Requested to have room cleaned and front desk said they will clean later in the day. Arrived back to room later in the evening to no clean room and no clean towels. At these prices, what’s with these hotels no longer providing basic hotel amenities??
- 5/5
My 2nd time at this hotel and we really, really love this place. The room is very large, clean and stylish! Love the amenities and in fact, I cancelled a few things and ended up staying in the hotel, enjoyed the pool, bar, and lounge. Cool vibes!

I have never eaten @ Palihouse & the bar has excellent drinks, bartenders are amazing, but you need to have better bar food, for the in-between meals, and somebody would like to snack. Other than that, everything’s amazing @ Palihouse

A great area, near to the Beverly Centre, The Grove and Farmers Market. The hotel decor was stunning and the rooms are really comfortable, with everything you need, including Diptyque shower gels and creams. Excellent all round

The team was very kind, the facility cozy and beautiful They didn’t clean our room while we signed that we were ok with cleaning it, and when we asked for at least new towels, they forgot to put them in our room. The receptionist also told us that we should have informed them that we had left the room so the cleaning team could pass through it… First time they tell me this TBW in a hotel

Loved the place. Great location and beautiful room. Will definitely be coming back for another stay!!!!
- 3/5
Location was great Could not sort out daily cleaning service, I had to ask multiple times and on two days cleaning never happened.
- 3/5
Hotel is very nice, hiccups with check in issues and being rushed to check out early by housekeeping while I was on work zooms.
- 4/5
The only challenge was the noise from Third Street. I wish they had double paned windows.
- 5/5
Hotel stay was great! The location is prime and easily walkable to so many restaurants, The Grove, and Beverly Center. The bar had an amazing vibe and atmosphere. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I loved that it’s pet-friendly. The only thing I wish was different is a more robust dinner menu for room service on those lounge-all-day moments.

I liked the lobby / bar area. The rooms had a musty small. The bathroom was very clean which was a plus. The refrigerator was very noisy at night. The smell of the room / hallway exciting the elevator.

Disappointing stay. I’ve stayed at Palihouse before and expected much better, especially for the price. My room faced a very busy street and the noise from traffic, buses, and people outside went on all night due to very thin windows. What was most frustrating was the lack of empathy or solutions from staff. when I asked for a fan or white noise option, I was told to go buy one at CVS. Service felt dismissive and unaccommodating, and overall the experience did not match the boutique luxury standard I expected.

On a different note, though somewhat related, in our 40+ years of traveling around the world we never met a reception filled with such non-welcoming personnel. Any time we approached them the impression was that they were busy with more important stuff and wanted us to go away. Yes, that bad.

Out of 4 nights there was only 1 time room cleaning Hearing / Air condition were totally bad and I caught a really bad cold and suffer a lot. With heather or air conditioning makes bad sounds through the night. Whenever I have complained, they say they please write a letter to make a complaint to the manager or to the hotel, which I don’t want to do that any longer for wasting of my time. Not single even complimentary water but one bottle of water as 13 dollars All the lightings should manually turn off every single lamps.

Clean room and excellent staff
- 4/5
They have a fridge in the room but its full to the rim with alcohol and also so is the cabinet side. Would of been great to have space to store my own drink e.g. Water etc Also had to keep nagging the front desk to get our soaps filled since they were empty on arrival and only two towels for 4 people in the room.

It was just ok. For the price I feel like the service and amenities could have been better. Took forever to get anything from the front desk. Bathroom was tiny with no space to put anything. Bed is in the middle of the room with no night stand.
- 3/5
Cute concept, it is very obvious this is a motel conversion, and while the decor was done well, the infrastructure remains the same, which lead to a tiny shower and odd configurations. The hotel scent was not pleasant, they need to rethink the fragrance. The pool is tiny and chairs are not plentiful. Location got all my stars, walkable and easily drivable to many spots. Towels were cheap, beds were very uncomfortable, TVs were not smart, for the price I was disappointed with the value.

My new LA home away from home. Been twice in the last two months and would go again. Love this hotel. Great staff. Walkable. Convenient.

The room itself was very clean, spacious, and comfortable, making it easy to unwind and get a good night sleep. The hotel is also located in a great area that felt safe and convenient. When it was time to check out, Meghan assisted me and she was wonderful. She made the checkout process just as smooth as the check-in. Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely stay here again.

Very happy with our checkin. We reached the hotel at 10AM and was allowed to checkin early. Very nice and accommodating staff. The area has a lot of cafes, retail and restos and room is fantatic! Aesthetic, clean and quiet. Linens and towels are fresh and bathroom amenities are very nice. We also had a welcome drink. Checkout was equally smooth and quick. Location is perfect, a bit off the hustle and bustle which we loved.

I like the coziness of the Palihouse and I like the boutique hotel vibe. I ended up switching the remainder of my staff to the SLS down the road because the staff are kinder. A lot of the staff at Palihouse (but not everyone!) seem visibily irritated at all times and are borderline rude. Even asking them a question seems like the biggest inconvenience to them. I would have loved to sit out on the patio and have drinks but again, the staff seemed so inconvenienced and burdened and the brunch itself was so bad, which is pretty difficult to achieve.

It's a beautiful and comfortable hotel. We love breakfast in the little cafe. We typically have it every morning of our stay. Staff is friendly and the setting itself is cool to be in. I enjoyed sitting by the pool this time and drinking the cucumber flavored water (and eating the gummy bears)! We happened to still be in our room when housekeeping came to clean and unfortunately they never came back. Not a big deal! We just called and requested more towels which came immediately.

To make matters worse, the small gestures that used to set this hotel apart — like providing a complimentary drink voucher for each guest in the party — have suddenly changed. These new staff members now hand out one voucher for a couple, which not only feels stingy but also shows a lack of awareness of previous standards. It’s a disappointing shift that sends a message: guest experience is no longer the priority. Housekeeping has also declined in an unacceptable way. While I always disinfect the room myself upon check-in, I still should never have to scrub off what appeared to be dried feces or blood on the side of the toilet. That level of oversight is not only unacceptable — it’s a direct failure in cleanliness, sanitation, and quality control. On top of that, several of the towels in the room were unusable due to visible black dirt marks. Basic linen cleanliness should be non-negotiable, yet even that standard wasn’t met. These aren’t minor issues; they point to serious carelessness in housekeeping training and supervision that puts guests' health, safety, and comfort in jeopardy.

To our surprise, they even gifted us a complimentary bag filled with delightful treats, which added a personal touch to our experience. It’s a charming design-forward hotel that is in an accessible location. Staff tried to problem solve our ongoing room issues. We didn’t have heat the entire night due to an hvac problem—was unbearably cold. While to location is convenient, there is too much noise as the window are old and do not muffle any street noise. We left after one night.

Wonderful, quiet boutique hotel, beautifully designed with a charming, warm feel. Felt very upscale and chic but cozy as well. Loved the unique (but useful) amenities and details in my room…high quality robe, champagne coupes and other high end glassware, great selection of unique alcohols and snacks. The room was super clean and spacious with a huge comfortable bed with quality linens. Everything about the hotel felt cool, unique, luxe and thoughtfully designed. The service was super friendly, attentive and efficient as well…especially the café staff. I arrived early and was offered a table to do some work on while I waited for my room, and although I only got an iced coffee, the server kept checking in on me and made me feel welcome.

Beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of many LA hotspots! The hotel has a vintage charm to it which we loved. Staff were always kind and greeted us every time we entered. The only negative was that sometimes housekeeping can take very long to pass by. On one occasion we had left the hotel around 8 am and returned just before 4 pm, and the room had not yet been cleaned. We unfortunately ended up opting out of housecleaning that day as we needed time to get ready before heading out for dinner. Otherwise, it was a great stay!

Lovely staff. Hotel was close to my business meetings. Easy walk to great shopping and restaurants. Pool area was a nice reprieve after a busy day. Loved the text communication from the staff - it made getting a late check out easy.

The hotel desperately needs an upgrade. The windows were so thin that I heard every noise from the outside — which, for rooms on busy 3rd St, meant an entire night of hearing cars go by and people talking on the street as if they were in the room with me. I moved rooms to one in the back and because there was less street noise, the thin windows weren’t as bad. I could still hear the people in the room next to me as if we were sharing a room. The design looks up to date and attractive but right now it is masking a very old building that I don’t think meets the latest standards.

Love this Hotel where I have stayed many times the past 2-1/2 years when visiting my Son and family. It would be nice if they offered complimentary bottled water and had an additional waste basket in the sleeping area. Some front desk staff are more welcoming than others. The Bar staff are great!
- 5/5
Great aesthetics. Pool house and pool were stunning! Very clean and close to everything (restaurants & shops) on 3rd Street. Super easy to valet and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. I would definitely choose to stay here again when back in the area!

Front desk staff super helpful. Loved the decor of the room. Pool area lovely. Would stay again.

Had a very nice stay. Convenient to WeHo and Beverly Hills. Room was clean and comfortable and loved the balcony. Will be back!

Great location with stylish interiors. The room was spacious and comfortable, the pool was nice although small, and the staff were friendly. The hot water in the shower took time to run and water pressure wasn’t great. Daily housekeeping wasn’t always provided even though it was requested. There is no poolside service or music to enhance the overall vibe.
- 3/5
Very good location and friendly staff. Ownership has a tight budget. Old mattress, ac at night will not cool down. TV a joke. Only free Spectrum channels, no news channels or national networks.Old furniture etc. Then in addition $47 a night parking they add a $35 a night resort fee. Nice place but low value at end of day.

and Inn.

Loved almost everything. One of the four mornings, at 8a (!) the hotel started loud pressure washing. I mean, at over $500 per night, let your guests sleep in peace. It’s perfectly understandable that the hotel needs to “rinse off” regularly but please save it to past noon. The one redeeming thing was they pretty quickly shut it off when we complained. So that’s nice.

First time staying here and it was a great experience. The hotel staff was very nice and accommodating for all of my request. I’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend!
- 4/5
I think the only thing that wasn't great was the restaurant staff - they were unfriendly, seemed put out and super slow.
- 5/5
Always such a lovely stay! Love the amenities in the room and great coffee and bakery across the street.
- 3/5
Street noise. Property and amenities don’t feel like a four star.
- 5/5
Great property
- 4/5
The restaurant was so good. Now it feels empty and hungry without it
- 5/5
Hip and happening. Good service. Well appointed room.
- 4/5
Trendy place. Cool style and nice mini fridge. Location was very convenient for shopping and dining. Only minor ding is b/c toilet was running and a bit of street noise
- 4/5
The air conditioning was really hot and did not seem to cool down the room
- 5/5
Loved the vibe. Comfy rooms and staff was great. Housekeeping seemed a bit under staffed, but I imagine the ICE raids in LA have had an impact there. Sweet but very small pool. Biggest downside was the food - very limited menu and limited hours.
- 3.5/5
Nice, well-maintained property in a fun, walkable location. The retro Californian decor is well done. Relatively quiet rooms. The cafe/ bar and its staff are excellent. The valet/ security guards seemed unusually tense for their actual job duties and the neighborhood - maybe that’s an LA thing? I was reprimanded (8 of 10 on the Unnecessary Harshness Scale) by one of them for softly placing my clean sneaker against one of the building’s exterior concrete walls to do a light stretch before a jog. Also the pool is almost directly under a utility pole/ distribution transformer, which I would assume has been approved by all of the relevant city regulatory agencies - even so, still a fairly shocking arrangement for potential pool-users.
- 5/5
Absolutely fantastic stay! The staff were incredible. Shout out to Benjamin and Benjamin at the bar as well as Aoife who made our stay memorable and entertaining. Very stylish hotel walkable to some great restaurants. Other great restaurants only a 5 minute drive away.
- 3/5
I got to the belief that they treat the guest of the on line services as the second class clients
- 5/5
Great hotel, comfortable beds, lovely decor.

While I was at the front desk, my wife and son went to the on-site café, where they were welcomed with such warmth—it was our first glimpse into the kind of service Palihouse is known for. Each day, my son looked forward to visiting the café and chatting with the bartenders and servers, who always made time for him. Even the bar and food manager joined in, and it really helped make the space feel like a second home during a tough time. The front desk staff were just as thoughtful, offering dining suggestions and local tips that made our stay even better. Everyone we interacted with from August 2 to August 5 went above and beyond to make us feel cared for. I had written their names down on a card so I could mention them here, but unfortunately, I left it behind in the room. Still, every single member of the team during those days deserves recognition. Through what could have been a stressful and emotional trip, Palihouse provided comfort, kindness, and a sense of calm. We’re now big fans and will absolutely be staying here again whenever we’re in Los Angeles.
- 5/5
The design is pretty maximalist with some choices that might not be for everyone (we had a big table in our room), but we enjoyed it. The bed and shower are really nice. Didn’t check out the pool. Lobby restaurant is nice as well but we only got coffee there. Rooms had nespresso but there’s a barista in the restaurant. There was a minor issue or two but the front desk was super responsive and took care of everything. Valet was quick too. Great staff all around. We couldn’t have enjoyed the location more and had some great spots around it for coffee and breakfast if you want to venture out of the hotel. It’s a remodel of an older hotel and not super tall so there was street noise on 3rd Saturday night we could hear. If that’s a a concern maybe ask to not face that way if possible. Didn’t keep me up though.
- 5/5
Designy and aesthetic! Great minibar and finishing touches.
- 5/5
Great spot- love the decor. Not your average design. Lovely bar. The pool was very cute, they managed to make a small space feel inviting. The bed was really comfortable and we enjoyed the small touches like the candy and waters offered in the lounges. Would definitely stay again.
- 4.5/5
Great location, close to Rodeo drive. The rooms are large and very clean. The staff is welcoming and accommodating. There are limited food options on the property.
- 5/5
The staff was extremely friendly and professional. Kudo's to Ben and Justin (bar/restaurant) and reception staff. So much fun and provided so many great recommendations for dinner and entertainment. Will definitely stay here again if ever we are in L.A. again. Only one slight negative for the room amenities - there was no vanity in the bathroom for toiletries and our particular room did not have a full-length closet to hang our formal wear. Otherwise - beautifully decorated and staff.
- 5/5
Staff were extremely friendly, helpful and courteous. Most importantly under the circumstances of how dangerous LA has become and our arrival close to 10pm the staff and security were there to make us feel comfortable and safe.
- 5/5
Palihouse West Hollywood Hotel is beautifully designed. We felt right at home with easy access to our favourite LA places.
- 5/5
Lovely spot. Rooms are delightful. Plenty of amenities and spacious. Beds very comfortable. Staff very nice and accommodating. All around a fabulous place to stay in West Hollywood. Will be back!
- 5/5
Great experience at Palihouse! Such a cute boutique hotel with great staff and very clean rooms! This location in particular was a bit more dated than others but still charming.
- 3/5
The property is cute older, Carpet in the room is not my favorite, but it felt clean and it was comfortable. The disappointing part was there was four choices to choose from in the restaurant a very limited menu you couldn’t bring outside food in and they had a very limited selection.
- 5/5
The design was very nice including furniture, decor. colors, everything blended together looks upscale. The area overall is not so nice, especially at night as many businesses looked abandoned or to be leased.
- 5/5
My new go-to when I’m in LA. Great location, staff, and rooms. Decorated so nicely!! Very nice pool, too.
- 5/5
super comfy bed and high end amenities in room. Great dining options within walking distance
- 3/5
The pros: location, cleanliness, convenience. The cons: staff is not friendly. This means, management is horrible.
- 5/5
Great location. Excellent vibe. Good staff, rooms were spacious and well appointed. Street side rooms a little noisy at times, so would opt for the pool/courtyard facing one if possible. But I was not disappointed in any way.
- 5/5
Lovely hotel and people!

In town with my teenage son for a family wedding. Breakfast was good, and amenities and cleanliness were excellent. The wall separating the bathroom and the rest of the room is tectured glass; would have been good to have a curtain you can close...

PaliHouse is an excellent location in Los Angeles. It’s less than a 10-minute walk to the Beverly Center. The rooms are always clean. I enjoy the balcony with the street view. The front desk staff and the valet staff are always friendly. This hotel has been a top choice whenever I visit LA.
- 5/5
Great service and friendly staff. The bar tender was very helpful recommended a lot of great places to eat.
- 5/5
The room was adorable! I was surprised that the refrigerator was stocked (even though I don't drink alcohol!) and there were snacks to pick from if we wanted. The bowls and utensils, etc. and decor just made it feel cozy! There wasn't anything I didn't like!

Will definitely return again!

Not near much of interest though.

Great location, friendly staff and spacious room makes this an ideal hotel for exploring Los Angeles' Melrose and WeHo areas. Walkable to shops, restaurants and The Grove. Valet parking is fast and efficient but a bit pricey. One drawback, the pool area is very small and all the chaise lounge chairs (maybe 8-10 chairs, max?) were filled up so I couldn't enjoy a couple of hours in the LA sunshine.
- 4/5
I felt the dining options after breakfast were very limited, and bar closing at 9 or for private functions was a bit frustrating, but didn't impact my stay. Will definitely stay there again.
- 4/5
Great location, beautiful hotel, but not enough amenities for the price we paid

Great place with lovely rooms and awesome service
- 5/5
Loved everything about this hotel and would 1000% stay again! Gorgeous decor + aesthetic, the lobby always smelled incredible, Diptyque products in every room, comfortable beds, the nicest staff and the hotel was so clean!
- 5/5
Hotel is in a nice, safe location near restaurants, shops, etc. and a short drive from major business areas (Century City, Beverly Hills, etc.). The restaurant does not serve a full menu - mostly snack items - and is not open late into the evening. The bed was comfortable, but carpet was not the cleanest (found an earplug under the couch, clothing tags on the floor, etc.) nor was the shower grout. Valet parking was excellent - quick and easy. Overall a great stay.

What a great property. Loved the scent
- 3/5
it looks cute on the surface but has few amenities and generally bad service. Do not expect room service or a working room phone or a way to cast anything on the tv or nice waiters at the cafe. Everyone seems a bit frazzled and unable to live up to the “world famous” slogan that the propriety touts.

- 5/5
Very nice and convenient hotel to stay
- 5/5
Handy location
- 5/5
Everyone was great and we were treated well. I would definitely stay again.
- 5/5
This hotel was beautiful inside and out. Locating it was easy, the car valet was also a breeze (no self park), staff was wonderful from check in, restaurant, requests, etc. The hotel was beautifully decorated, comfortable, and the amenities were some of the best especially for a hotel of its size. We even took a dip in the pool in early January! Will definitely be my go to the next time I’m in the area.
- 4/5
Mostly a nice place. Weird that the room had a giant table in it -- I guess that's nice if you have a family and are planning to have meals in the room. I personally would've preferred a desk against the wall with a comfortable desk chair. Staff was very nice until I started asking questions specific to my situation and then they seemed a bit annoyed. The restaurant staff, on the other hand, was great. Given the location, I guess $45 a night for overnight valet parking is understandable, but next time I think I'd rather stay someplace a mile or two away that has free parking and then Uber into WeHo if needed. Note the place charges a $30/day resort fee, even if you don't plan to use any of the resort amenities.
- 5/5
This place is the bomb. The room was very comfortable. The restaurant was very tasty. Even in January, it was warm enough to use the pool lounge and pool deck. The heated pool was a nice touch. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.
- 5/5
Highly recommended
- 3/5
Its a very convenient area for dining. The service at the front desk was a little strange and our room was not ready until 7pm in the evening! Which is pretty unacceptable for a hotel of this standard.
- 5/5
The place and service was nothing short of amazing. I enjoyed the chic feel of the hotel. The food and drinks were amazing. If I come back to LA will definitely stay here again.
- 4/5
Stay was fine except I was woken up in the middle of the night because someone broke into the property and there was a loud speaker blasting a warning message to the intruder. Then again I was woken up at 7 AM when the construction in the back started early.
- 5/5
At the last minute due to change of plans I was able to get a room for one night. The receptionist was very welcoming and helpful. My room was spacious, well appointed, quiet and clean and the bed and pillows quite comfortable. Walking distance to many eateries, nail and hair salons, and shopping I will definitely stay here in the future.
- 5/5
Starf was incredible.... Front desk, restaurant and bar staff was awesome. Small hotel vibes with luxury accommodations. Only place I'll stay in LA!
- 5/5
Everything is great!
- 3/5
Nice bar downstairs but music way too loud. They were unwilling to turn it down. Nice room but windows appeared to be single pulaned and lots of noise and cold air comes through the windows.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel and bar. Loved my stay here.
