Reviews
The hotel is generally well-liked for its excellent location in downtown LA, close to museums, concerts, and public transportation. The staff is frequently praised for being friendly and helpful. However, the rooms are consistently described as small and sometimes noisy, with some complaints about the air conditioning and cleanliness. The price is seen as reasonable for the location, but some guests feel it is overpriced for the quality of the rooms.

Stayed overnight for a concert in the area. Had all the amenities we needed. The hotel and room were clean and staff was helpful. We felt very safe and comfortable there. I would stay again and recommend to others.

Location was good

Excellent space for what we needed. My girlfriend left her bag of shoes and didn’t realize it until a week later. They graciously held them and a lovely pair of Dr. Martens was reunited with its feet.

Clean and quiet little outdated but ok stayed two nights

The location is perfect to walk from to all around the city.

This is the best hotel in the downtown area. The rooms are clean and it’s a cool coffee shop next door. I’ll definitely be coming back for my next stay. Thanks Kawanda I appreciate the hospitality.

We appreciated our stay at Kawada, especially with its ideal location near downtown and the parking. The shower was also a good amenity with its head and wand attachment. Very practical.
- 5/5
When I got there the inside of the hotel nice clean very well maintained. The staff was nice friendly and they were amazing, when I got to my room perfect size the AC worked perfect size bathroom and the amenities that they had inside the microwave the coffee maker was pretty cool. And I would recommend this hotel to everyone that I know to let them know that this hotel for the price to stay is really good.

if you are taller than 5,5 the shower might be a bit awkward, I do prefer a standing shower over a step in bath/ shower, I at 5,10 was awkwardly huddled in the corner of the shower, perhaps the shower head is to large, but if the pipe from the wall to the shower head was shorter I think that would have helped a lot.
- 5/5
Very clean, helpful staff also

Clean + Nice staff
- 1/5
Overall, we ended up checking out early because it was extremely loud. When we called the front desk, they initially offered to move us to another room, but then called back and explained that the walls are very thin throughout the hotel, so the noise issue would likely be the same anywhere else. They also said they were unable to offer any compensation at that time and advised us to call back in the morning to see if anything could be done. Nothing was done for us or not even a check back. Pillows where super uncomfortable and so was the bed had the worst neck pain.
- 4/5
Things that could be improved: the air conditioner is loud. Depending on how close your room is to the tunnel across the street you’ll hear cars/motorcycles zooming very loud so bring ear plugs. Outside windows could be cleaned and they also don’t open if you want to let fresh air in. My second stay here and I plan to return again.
- 4/5
Very good
- 5/5
Room was clean, the bed was great the room has a small fridge, the shower had good water pressure.
- 5/5
This was an great property. We stayed 8 nights. The hotel had a great central downtown LA location. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Answered our questions. The lobby was nicely appointed. Room was clean and comfortable. Maid staff very nice and helpful. Restaurant next door and breakfast lunch place on the other side. Price was very reasonable. Properties nearby wete charging 80 to 100 dollars more per night. Would definitely stay there again.
- 3/5
basically, room was clean but very noisy from street noise as late as 3 am in the morning
- 4/5
Immaculate room and bathroom. Pleasant staff. Could have a few more amenities.

The location was absolutely perfect for our purpose which was to go to the Dodger’s games. The Metro $1.75 pp) is a few minutes walk to go to Union Station to catch the free Dodger’s Express shuttle to the game. The shuttle starts 2.5 hrs prior to the game and was so convenient both to and from the game. Take the 1st Street exit when returning on the Metro after the game. We mistakenly took the Temple exit the first night and it took us to a sketchy area and a longer walk to the hotel. Additionally, Grand Central Market is literally a 2 minute walk from the hotel where you’ll find a wide array of delicious food and drink options. The rooms were on the smaller side but the layout was thoughtful and creative with lots of storage options. The room had 2 twin beds and small shower stall but it fit our needs perfectly as we are both under 5’3”. They provided shampoo and body wash as well as a mini fridge, microwave, and a hot water kettle with teas and coffee. I would definitely return to Kawada Hotel for our next stay for the Dodger’s game!

Room was fine for 1 person and staff/lobby was nice Tiny bathroom, blinds didn’t work well, no bottled water, area around the hotel is not great, could do with some updating
- 3/5
Roma’s are clean and staff is nice but the there is construction happening across the street and it honestly sounded like the windows were open (which they were not) all the sounds from cars, honks, people machinery and construction were very loud (and that WITH me sleeping with ear plugs - the bed was comfy and pillows were good I was excited to have a good night sleep but unfortunately rooms are not very sound proof
- 4/5
Only stayed one night. Attending concert that night. Stay was short.
- 3/5
Floor had a very strange smell. No windows opened so no fresh air or vents in room. Staff were very helpful. Area a bit dead but close to 2 metro lines.
- 5/5
This hotel is so fresh and clean and the staff are very helpful and accommodating.
- 3/5
The room was clean but some furnishings and especially the bathroom were old and worn. Some staff were excellent ,others not so much. Did not use laundry. Breakfast was great and attendant was excellent. Best feature of this hotel is the location. Rooms are very small and the shower very small for full size adults. Night staff were excellent in addressing noise from next door with change of rooms.
- 4/5
Convenient location.
- 3/5
Very small rooms for the price! Pictures on website are very deceiving! No windows open and room very stuffy. Was told to reuse towels. Parking should be included or he could have said I’m going to charge you $55 bucks or you can drive it in yourself for $10. Security was very minimal if any.

I just booked this hotel stay and I’m happy it’s available this hotel is definitely a vibe. Money well spent and everything is clean. 🙌🙌🙌🙌
- 5/5
This hotel is very cozy and chill. I always book here when I need to get away and unplug.
- 4/5
Stayed one night to go to a concert at the Regent. Good location, right next to Central Market. Rooms are small and basic and could be upgraded, but we didn't care because we were just sleeping and not hanging out there.
- 5/5
The staff is very friendly, and the entire place is very beautiful and clean. Thanks to Victor and everyone for being so kind.
- 5/5
Easy check-in, professional staff, great location close to transportation.
- 3/5
The room was clean, there was a night club located in the building that was noisy at night.
- 1/5
I was woken up at 3am and couldn't go back to sleep due to loud noise and banging Friday morning. The bed is hard, but some may like that. No amenities but plenty of ice.
- 5/5
Nice and clean. Very nice staff
- 5/5
Hotel services made LA visit work out well . Helpful Friendly front desk Lady.
- 4/5
Clean room but the bed was reallly uncomfortable to sleep on. Great AC tho!
- 3.5/5
Easy check-in/check-out, good staff, close to train station. No good loading/unloading area, only street/lot parking. Rather small room for the price. Overpowered A/C for the room size (but maybe necessary at other times of the year?).

Good location and clean rooms!
- 4/5
My favorite downtown LA hotel, for its price and location - one block to each of two different Metro lines and buses galore. And I love that there is a guest laundry. For stays more than a couple of days that is really helpful.
- 5/5
Staff is great and rooms are very clean. We always stay here and are happy with the experience. It’s a bit outdated but it is budget friendly and comfortable.
- 4/5
Excellent location for exploring downtown LA by walking or public transportation. Just a block to Historic Broadway Metro station with the A and E trains. Close to Grand Central Marketplace and the Angels Flight cable car railway tram up to Grand Street from Hill St. Good restaurants nearby. Friendly staff, comfortable bed. Rooms are clean but a bit spartan with minimum of furniture and storage. Was nice to have a mini fridge.
- 5/5
Room was clean, well organized and appointed but very small. We requested an iron and ironing board and they arrived within 5 minutes. All the staff members we interacted with were very nice, welcoming, helpful, professional, some of the best we have ever experienced. This hotel offers an affordable alternative to the more expensive places in downtown LA. It's a very short walk to the Grand Central Market and a short easy walk to the Walt Disney Concert Hall and Little Tokyo. However we were awake every night between midnight and 2 am due to extremely loud speeding engines very close to the hotel. I'm sure this won't last forever but if you can sleep with earplugs bring them just in case.
- 5/5
Nice, well run and friendly hotel.
- 5/5
Very clean room. Bed was a little too firm, but manageable.
- 5/5
Excellent and accommodating staff
- 4/5
Good for the price
- 5/5
Very attentive staff, right in the middle of everything we wanted to be around too! Grand central market being down the block is a huge plus. The staff was nice and attentive when needing my car from valet too.
- 5/5
Friendly, helpful staff and a practical room that was a good value for the money.
- 5/5
Clean room. Accessible to nearby store and restaurant.
- 1/5
Was a terrible experience and was deceived by the pictures and price. Was outdated, no amenities were visible or offered, small room, and staff was not welcoming or helpful. Was a club under our room and was not informed of this prior to checking in, but when inquired about a room change when returned for the evening, staff was rude and said they were sold out, and music would in by midnight. Room was not dirty or sheets but is comparable to a motel, would not recommend this room to anyone.
- 5/5
Great location!!
- 3/5
Clean Room and Great Staff.
- 5/5
Surprisingly clean and safe hotel. Room is small like a dorm room but for one night it’s not bad.

- 4/5
So if you are planning to spend most of your time out and about this is great. Near MOCA, The Broad, Disney Hall. If you need space this is not for you.
- 3/5
Clean but very small room. Very noisy. If ear plugs were provided, maybe it would have helped.
- 5/5
Cheerful decor, great location, sincerely friendly staff
- 3/5
Lost my tower and the room smelled bad
- 4/5
Staff is very nice and helpful. Curb side loading and unloading is convenient though sometimes very crowded. A nice moderately priced DTLA hotel. Just be aware the rooms are clean but very small.
- 5/5
No comment love it
- 4/5
Good location
- 4/5
Clean room, friendly staff, felt safe. Rooms are on the smaller side but adequate for business travel.
- 3/5
Clean but very, very basic. Not even a free bottle of water. Couldn’t use ac unit because air smelled gross.
- 4/5
An excellent hotel in the heart of Vancouver with great value!
- 3/5
It was ok. No eating options at the hotel on Sunday morning. Rooms are average.
- 3/5
The staff were courteous and the amenities were good. The floor of the room unfortunately wasn’t fully cleaned and the door to the room stood a full inch above the ground, meaning anyone or thing could reach/crawl under at any time. I only stayed a single night, checking in late and checking out early, so I didn’t really have time to file anything.
- 5/5
Everything was great
- 5/5
Nice place and a great location
- 3/5
Staff was friendly from front dest to maintenence to valet. But, the room was MUCH smaller than expected and immediate smell from the heater was intolerable. Rooms were clean but the place felt very stuffy.
- 2/5
Hotel is clean and well situated but the rooms are small with minimal amenities and outdated furniture. It’s like staying in a YMCA. Worst of all, there’s constant noise from street traffic through single lane windows and pervasive noise from other rooms, especially from above where every footstep can be heard. I’d never stay here again.
- 5/5
Everything perfect
- 5/5
The clean room, lovely front desk service and amenities provided by the hotel.
- 5/5
Pleasant stay
- 5/5
The location was perfect - the area was safe, close to concert hall, grand central market, and the union station. The staff was friendly, room was spotless and a good size. I was very happy to stay here and will be back next time I come to LA.
- 5/5
The room was great. Very clean. And the people were very nice. I love staying at this hotel.
- 5/5
Staff was attentive, Valet parking for $20 a day, the room was clean and near the Grand Central Market! Our room was facing 2nd, there was bit of traffic noise but slept through it with ear plugs.

Rooms were small but fine. I had to pay for parking $30/night which I guess i forgot to read which made the trip more expensive.
- 5/5
Was a great stay! Will for sure stay again!
- 1/5
Roaches in the room
- 4/5
Not bad at all.
- 3/5
Location was good. Close to nightlife Great valet with in/out privileges Great staff very friendly Restaurant CONS Small rooms, very small shower. But the traffic noise was so crazy. Couldn’t fall asleep but when we did an engine would go crazy at the corner light.
- 2/5
There is construction going in next door. The construction went on all hours of the night with bright lights and noise. Won't recommend stay until the building next door is done. It kept me up all night. Finally at 4:00 in the morning have to change the room. But it still was noisy.
- 4/5
Great staff and overall nice stay. Nothing luxurious but it was good for one night and had clean towels and linens. I got a room by the street so a bit loud. Don’t expect to get much sleep.
- 1/5
Everything was horrendous
- 3/5
The lobby is deceiving -the hotel has been updated but the old feel and smell is still there. It’s just down the hill from the 2nd street tunnel so it’s just on the edge of having your guard up. In a financial pinch it’s a good choice -down the street from Grand Central Market and the Angel’s Flight trolley, but if you can afford a step up, this isn’t the spot for relaxing.
- 5/5
Staff let us check in early to a clean room!
- 5/5
Yyy
- 4/5
Staff were great, very attentive. The property itself was clean and well kept. Only downside was the hotel has no hair conditioner, so keep in mind to bring some with you if you need it during your stay.
- 4/5
Great location. Accommodations were fair.
- 5/5
nice simple hotel price not too high. Close to restaurants, Grand Central Market, Little Tokyo. Valet parking, $40. No breakfast, Tv, micro, refrig in room. Instant coffee in room.
- 4/5
Clean room, comfortable bed.
- 2/5
Cockroach
- 5/5
Great all-a-round!
- 4/5
Like others have commented, the room we had was very small, I think the bathroom was bigger than the sleeping area. Not really an issue for us, as we didn’t spent much time in the room. Water Pressure was solid. It was clean and quiet enough. The A/C unit in the room is loud when it kicks on. The staff was friendly and the location is great, especially with access to the Metro Light Rail system. There are two stations less than a block away giving you access to the entire Metro system.
- 4/5
Will definitely be back,
- 5/5
Everything was clean
- 4/5
I arrived close to midnight to check in so things got bumpy in regards to parking. They don’t have onsite parking and if you pay them basically it’s a valet service. Not bad but the attendant told me parking down the street was $10 and pointed me to that option instead. Not the best idea at midnight in downtown so just pay the $40 parking. The room was very small but clean and doable since we would only be sleeping a few hours. We were there for the Dodgers parade. Perfect place to stay since we were just 2 blocks from the route. Only bad part was at the end trying to get out of there. The crowds took over the street so we just had to wait about an hour and a half after the parade was over. Overall the stay was fine and I would stay there again.
- 4/5
1) I saw a very big bug the first night I was there. I sprayed it with sunscreen and it disappeared but it was quite large. 2) I didn't realize this until it was the middle of the night, but my window didn't close all the way and someone had stuffed tissue or toilet paper in Gap. Because it just so happened to be raining that day I woke up to my room being freezing cold. Turning on the heater helped, but I think it was really weird that the window was broken. But the staff was nice and most of the amenities were great including the fridge and the microwave. $40 for valet parking was kind of mean but that is about what I would have paid if I parked my car somewhere else that late at night. Also, the location is great
- 5/5
Friendly staff. Clean room. Reasonable rate.
- 5/5
This is a nice hotel in a good location. Close to restaurants, Grand Central Market, Little Tokyo. The hotel has valet parking, 40 dollars. No breakfast offered but there is a cafe next door with nice food items, Cherry Pick Cafe. Room has micro, refrigerator, pot for boiling water, teabags and instant coffee.
- 4/5
Good location and value for money
- 5/5
Hotel was ok but they said they will release the $100 and to date they haven’t
- 4/5
Clean room and friendly staff.
- 4/5
Clean room. Good location
- 4/5
Just right for what we need , a reasonable price and clean place to stay for a night
- 2/5
Hotel is ok, staff are great. Just shame the room design is awful. Beds that are less than 6ft in length. At 5ft9 my feet were sticking out the end of the bed. My head was also hitting the fixed shower unit. Seems the rooms are built for short people.
- 1/5
Receptionist was horrible, stay on the second floor if you want water
- 4/5
The room and the beds are both very small but are clean. The location is exellent and conveniently close to the metro, little tokyo, grand central market and attractions such as the broad.
- 5/5
The room was clean and just right. The location is excellent! It's only 2 blocks away from The Broad and Disney Hall and a few blocks away from Perch and other bars. Overall, great place! I will definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
microwave and fridge was great.
- 3/5
The photos of the Kawada don’t really represent the actual hotel. It’s just your standard downtown hotel in a city. A bit outdated, small, but serves the purpose.
- 5/5
Excellent people and accommodations
- 3/5
Nice enough. Clean and convenient location. But if you're driving hotel parking is $40 per night, and there are not really any other options.
- 2/5
The room we stayed in faced the back alley, which picked up late night bargoers next door (and I mean every word of their conversations), sirens and motorcycles racing by, and dumpsters being emptied at 4am. For 2 of our 3 nights, we could not sleep longer than 3 hours at a time without the aforementioned interruptions. Having no blackout curtains on the windows was the bad icing on a terrible cake. We will not be coming back.
- 3/5
The bathroom was small, outdated, and not well lit. Not enjoyable. The room itself was okay but not very aesthetically appealing and I won’t be staying there again. It needs a lot of upgrades.
- 4/5
Rooms were clean. Bed and pillows too stiff for me personally, but sheets were nice. Towels were also good. Street noise was TERRIBLE, could hear every street race, backfire and emergency vehicle. Staff was exceptional. Very friendly and really helpful. We liked the bar/restaurant next door (Hill Street). Neighborhood was walkable and felt safe. Hotwl was close to Grand Central Market, so eats were close by and a good variety.
- 5/5
Room although small was very comfortable and the shower clean and up to date.
- 5/5
Walked everywhere we needed to go, room clean,
- 5/5
this hotel is located near central market food place with many restaurants and food to buy. Walking distance to restaurants, near freeways. Micro and TV in room, also coffee. No breakfast served, valet parking at hotel.
- 4/5
Front desk was very helpful. Maybe improve the coffee options.
- 4/5
I was told by one of the staff members, that they had recently renovated the rooms right before Covid; the room I was not was clean but did not look updated or as modern. The room is quite small.
- 5/5
The location
- 5/5
a/c had a funky smell when on and the beds were a bit small. Bathroom was great and staff were very friendly. Great for the price
- 4/5
Nice clean hotel, just right for a short stay.
- 5/5
Overnight stay to attend event at Disney Concert Hall. Friendly and professional staff. Bar & Grill next door. I’ll be back!
- 3/5
The property is a good value, There was drag racing up and down the street until 4 am so no sleep for us! I believe the windows are not double paned. Staff was great
- 3/5
The hotel does not provide hand lotion which is generally available at most of the hotels I have visited till date.
- 4/5
Only thing I suggest for good sleep is for the hotel to change the room's mattress to a more comfortable one.
- 4/5
Hotel was nice beautiful entrance. Room was decently cleaned. Walkable area. Valet parking was 40$ a night so be warned of that.
- 4/5
Clean the windows Mr Kawada
- 4/5
Beautiful property with very nice staff. Room was clean and bed was comfortable but painfully small.
- 1/5
The Rooms are very small, does not match the picture on the website. There is no closet, we were unable to hang our clothes. We asked to change the room on the one in the picture but they said it was the same room, what is not true. We arrived at the hotel very late for check-in and we had nowhere to go. We were forced to stay for one night and the next morning we checked-out although, we had paid for two nights. We asked for a refund for one night, they said we should ask Expedia for refund. We were forced to reserve another hotel for one night.
- 4/5
Staff was great. Room was tiny and Spartan
- 4/5
The staff are all friendly, accommodating and housekeeping takes pride in room cleanliness. Rooms tend to be small, the furnishings bare bones and aging. Non-urbanites might be put off by downtown LA, but the hotel is well situated - close to the Metro, courthouse, immigration, Angels Flight, Grand Central Market and more. Unfortunately, the rooms have thin walls and conversations from your neighbors can be easily heard. The rooms (especially lower floors) facing 2nd St. are subject to noise until late from the bar next door that has outdoor seating and then very early trash collection noise. Given all that, it's still one of the best deals if you have to stay in downtown LA.
- 4/5
Convenient location nice to have restaurant in location for the most part clean nicely decorated
- 3/5
Positives: great coffee shop next door, and a couple of minutes stroll to Grand Central Market. Handy for Broad and concert hall. Staff were fine Pretty good value
- 3/5
The pictures look much better than the actual room. The room was very very small and bed was very uncomfortable. Walls super thin, and we had very loud stompers above us. Everything is very old and not great condition. You can’t open any windows, so no fresh air, and the hotel smells pretty bad. They use heavy chemical air fresheners that just make it smell worse. Positives are that it’s close to everything in DTLA and the staff was very friendly, especially Derek! He was really helpful and attentive. For the price we probably wouldn’t stay here again as we didn’t really sleep well with all the noise and old uncomfortable bed, and weird smells.
- 4/5
All was fine
- 5/5
Nice staff clean rooms
- 5/5
Very nice
- 5/5
Excellent place for the price. Rooms were kind of small, but worth it. Will definitely be staying again!

- 5/5
Great location and friendly staff. Room was clean an comfortable. Lots of great restaurants in the area and close to public transportation hubs.

This is a great little cost efficient hotel in the Arts District. Very very clean. Your basic bed - comfortable. Heat, hot water, micro, fridge, extra towels, extra TP all in room to start. So convenient. Great location. Felt very safe.
- 5/5
Staff were very friendly. Room was nice and clean. Very nice experience.
- 5/5
Was nice and close to metro station
- 5/5
This hotel is a great stay and walking dustance from Grand Central Market!
- 2/5
Biggest compliment and concern I had with my stay was I had bugs in my bathroom in two different occasions I saw cockroaches once’s inside of the shower and also within the bathroom. However the staff were very helpful and friendly.
- 5/5
Room, although small, was clean and pleasant and met our needs. The location of the Kawada is absolutely excellent. Close to a Metro station, two blocks from the Broad Museum and Disney Concert Hall, one block from the Grand Central Market. We were able to walk to everything and to catch the Metro to go one stop to Union Station for the free Dodgers Shuttle to get to a baseball game. Many excellent eateries and attractions were very close by. This was the perfect hotel for us!
- 4/5
The room was small but effective. No frills, simple and clean.

I'm a woman and they wouldn't let me in! I got dropped off at midnight to stay between flights. A homeless guy was out front and a car turned around when I was trying to enter the hotel. It was incredibly terrifying, and I was banging on the door, and when he finally let me in, he said it was because someone was in line before me. So, he couldn't spend 2 seconds to press the button because, gawd forbid, a man is inconvenienced for 2 seconds to save the life of a woman. I was BANGING on the door, OBVIOUSLY in an emergency, and they wouldn't let me in! Usually I'm quiet, but in this case it was an emergency. If a woman is BANGING ON THE DOOR AT MIDNIGHT, it is an EMERGENCY. Obviously. I will never stay here ever again, and I recommend no other women stay here, they do not care whether you live or die.

Need restaurants or eating options, 7:00 pm for your bar grill is ridiculous
- 4/5
With the price in the area, it is a very good option

Great overall experience. Clean and reasonably priced. Great laundry room was a bonus. Close to Grand Central Market which is an awesome food court. Only downsides were tiny rooms (European-like) and expensive parking.
- 3/5
The location was the best part of the stay. You are a 3-minute walk from Grand Central and near other shops, so it is easy to walk to.
- 5/5
Very quite gave me time to rest and be comfortable.
- 1/5
horrible costumer service the lady in the front desk was making fun of my family she i was very upset thats not the way you treat costumers. i will make a formal complain to the hotel manager.
- 5/5
We were only stayed over night ,hotel was close to union station 5 min taxi ride
- 4/5
Honestly a really good and affordable place to stay if you’re looking to just sleep and sometimes eat in there. There’s nothing to really do IN the hotel room and the aminities are deductible old, but it’s kept neat, just be aware that some small bugs will pop out here and there. I usually book it when I’m going to conventions cause it’s 5 min walk to the subway and buses, plus there are food stalls and cafes around it.
- 5/5
I liked everything! From the reception and helpful staff to the super comfortable room! Thanks !
- 3/5
Good location, the rooms aren’t bad but there was a small roach in the bathroom.
- 5/5
Rooms are small and no closet, but clean and bed and pillows were very comfortable. Also appreciated in room coffee and fridge. We stayed at another boutique hotel a couple of months ago in LA that did not have either.
- 3/5
After that, it was really hard for me to sleep comfortably. Although the room looked clean on the outside, the inside didn’t feel very well-maintained. It was actually my first time seeing a cockroach in a hotel, and it was quite unsettling.
- 5/5
Room was like the pics. Simple, clean and quiet.
- 5/5
Would stay here again when in town for an event.
- 5/5
Overall an excellent stay!
- 5/5
We needed to be close to Union Station and it fit that requirement as well. It would be an easy walk for the able bodied.
- 5/5
Good hotel ! Easy access for metro transportation. The beds were a bit small but its better than no bed.
- 3/5
It started off alright, considering I saw on the listing that parking was free. But when I asked about overnight parking that was $40. So that was misleading. They don't have continental breakfast. And there were a few hairs in the shower.
- 1/5
The Rooms AC Didn’t work and they got mad cause we called to change rooms
- 5/5
Was in town for 3 days and thought it was a nice place to be for a short stay! It’s a short walk from grand central market and the trains so it’s a convenient spot for anyone spending time in DTLA. :)
- 5/5
Cozy room and simple.
- 4/5
It was a small room but didn't feel small. It was well organized, and the fridge/microwave would be great for a longer stay.
- 5/5
Smaller than expected but very clean &
- 4/5
My stay went wnvery well!
- 3/5
The sink in the bathroom must’ve been clogged or didn’t drain properly because water would stay stuck. There was a woman who must’ve been one of my neighbors and walked into the room behind me, and stole a pillow. Other than that, everything was fine. The room was cozy, but was totally fine.

Great
- 5/5
Close to Union station and Grand Central Market. Great location.
- 5/5
Walk to Central market, metro station only minutes away. It’s clean and front desk staff are helpful and polite. I will be back again!
- 5/5
Perfectly located very central
- 5/5
nice place, very close LA museums
- 3/5
It was cool if you’re there on a bender.
- 5/5
Was a good stay
- 5/5
Rooms are very small. But ok.
- 3/5
the hotel is in a convenient location downtown, but the air-conditioning unit in the room was very loud, almost like having a vacuum cleaner running. I was on the third floor, but noise from traffic, and sirens from the street were also extremely loud and disturbing. Perhaps they can install double-paned windows to keep the noise level down.
- 4/5
Would have preferred black tea to green but it seems to be geared to Asian guests
- 5/5
It was clean and the staff let us check in early. The staff was alos always friendly. It was a bit loud at nights.
- 5/5
Check-in process was quick and smoothly. The property is in the middle of downtown so that was a convenience in itself. The only downside to my stay was the bed sheets having very light but noticeable stains.
- 2/5
Rooms are too small, it should be said in the description, they practically obligate you to pay for parking, separate charge
- 4/5
Awesome!
- 5/5
great stay , clean. quiet. good for the price...
- 5/5
It was very nice and neat and clean. Very prompt and accommodating. The only thing was the beds are not that comfortable and one shower head didn’t work.
- 4/5
One particular thing that was bothersome during my stay was the AC unit in my room, the air felt damp and stuffy. Everything else, however, was excellent.
- 5/5
Excellent staff and room. Plan to stay in again next time in LA
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
Have stayed here before. The room is cozy and has a mini fridge, microwave, hair dryer and everything you need. It’s close to grand central market and lots of other dining and shopping
- 4/5
Valet parking only, just pull up to the front of the hotel $40ish. Staff was efficient and nice. Hotel was very quiet. The floor planning was well thought out. The rooms are small (the size of a college dorm) 200sq ft. But beautifully done. Twin beds were comfortable and beautifully decorated. If you are on the go, doing things you won't mind the size, because you will get a quiet, good night sleep. 100% we will be back. Visited first week in June.
- 4/5
What I did not like was that due to circumstances it was in the curfew zone during the protests. The hotel restaurant always closed early and there were no dining options anywhere near in the early evening.
- 3/5
The hotel was walkable from the train station, which is why I chose it and it had twin beds. The problem was the neighbor's conversation from 3:30 -530am could be heard and woke us up. When I tapped on the wall, the guest shouted back, "what's your problem!" I could not call the front desk from the phone, so went downstairs. The night clerk was sympathetic and said he would let his manager know at 7am. Nobody contacted me about my complaint.

Found a shirt from the previous renters stay under my bed, was grossed out wondering if the even cleaned my room floors bed sheets.
- 5/5
Very friendly staff and little tokyo is just a 10 minute walk😋
- 3/5
Room was small but it’s okay I just didn’t like that we were right next to the elevator so it was noisy with people going in and out..
- 3/5
They do not have hair conditioner.
- 5/5
Nice hotel perfect for catching a Dodger Game
- 5/5
Great service. Easy and quick!
- 4/5
The room is small but was perfect for 2 single beds. Microwave, fridge and AC in the room. The shower works well. A little outdated but still great. No breakfast available. Warm welcoming staff.
- 5/5
I loved the location. The staff were very good and very kind. The Room was clean and comfortable. I truly enjoyed my stay. I will be staying there again.

Clean , quiet, centrally located
- 5/5
Very friendly staff & welcoming. Offered everything that was available and very efficient
- 3/5
It would have been an okay stay the beds were super hard and made it very uncomfortable to sleep
- 4/5
A decent stay for a single person on a budget. Good location and close to the Market. But very bare bones, no frills. Friendly and very attentive front desk and staff.
- 5/5
Great location and comfortable bed

I like the convenience of
- 5/5
Located in hear of downtown, clean and nice rooms. Highly recommend !!
- 5/5
This was a Great place to stay. And very good for the price. Nice room and when I left some of my belongings, I called the hotel immediately, they found them and shipped them back to me for free. The room does feel a bit compact but it's not bad and I literally only stayed here for a night. Highly recommend
- 4/5
The accommodations were adequate for our short stay. Comfortable bed. The room was clean. Limited space for luggage, hanging clothes, toiletries. The corner cafe downstairs was not open on the weekend, and we were disappointed there was no coffee maker in the room. Overall, however, our stay there was fine.
- 5/5
Ability to walk to Disney Concert Hall, The Broad Museum, Union Station, Olvera Street, Central Market and Little Tokyo
- 4/5
Nice bed
- 3/5
The girl that helped me out on the first desk, was a bit rude. The valet guys both of them were super cool very nice. The sink in my bathroom wouldn’t drain, after using it the water would just collect and eventually go down the drain.
- 5/5
Great hotel to stay for a short trip.
- 5/5
I didn't want to rent a car in LA and the hotel was close by all the metro lines I needed to do what I wanted in the city. (Santa Monica, Clippers Games, Hollywood, etc.) You are also very close to the Grand Central Market which is great because it's one of the best places to eat something in DTLA. The staff was really quick and receptive. I would recommend if you come to DTLA.
- 3/5
This is best for someone who needs a place to sleep. As a solo traveler I didn’t feel as safe since I didn’t see a security nor staff. Only 1 person was at the front desk. In regards to the room it was clean and has its necessities. Small room not much space.
- 4/5
Clean and friendly staff but hotel needs updating.
- 5/5
Fridge, microwave, good internet, vending machine in the hotel, good water pressure. I could've stayed longer. The desk is nice, enough outlets for connecting devices (which is not too common). The things that could be better: * the shower could be better directed. * you can hear the hallway (meaning the hallway can probably hear you). * the desk is nice, but the desk is too tall relative to the chair or the chair is too short relative to the chair. Good hotel, definitely recommend.
