Reviews
Hotel Normandie is a historic, charming hotel located in Koreatown, LA, with friendly and helpful staff. Guests generally enjoy their stay, but some find the rooms small and outdated, with noise and cleanliness issues.
- Historic charm and character
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Rooms can be small and outdated
- Noise and cleanliness issues

The manager went out of his way to have my car ticketed in the loading zone even though I told I would come down and move it and it was the middle of the night. He refuses to give upgrades when suites are available … I’ve been frequenting the hotel for several years now and have state there dozens of times … I’m sure he doesn’t treat his other regular guests so poorly.
- 5/5
Property is really nice and clean. Restaurant has really good food there cheese burgers are awesome!
- 5/5
Beautiful boutique hotel super kind and friendly staff !
- 5/5
I had the 4th floor and it was quiet here. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly. The location of the hotel is ideal if using public transportation or ride share. If you have your own car then parking could be an issue. Many restaurants within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again,
- 5/5
Staff was incredibly friendly!
- 3/5
The luggage cart dented my car!!! Uneven sidewalk in front of the property made it impossible to off load my car. Parking is not on the property. The room was very nice but there is street noise.
- 4/5
Nice hotel quiet boutique style. Historic feel. With the bed was softer. That’s it.
- 5/5
Staff were lovely and breakfast at Cassell’s was great.
- 5/5
Room was very clean! The hotel itself is really quirky and beautiful!
- 5/5
Nice!
- 5/5
Best location and nicest staff
- 5/5
A great stay. Staff was friendly. Hotel restaurant was great. Thank you to the staff for upgrading our room since we are Expedia Gold!
- 5/5
One suggestion: provide high-quality coffee in the lobby as restaurant won’t open till 9:00 am.
- 5/5
Great location and great staffs. Very kind and knowledgeable.
- 5/5
Beautiful historical hotel with original features. That being said, the walls are pretty thin, so just be sure to bring earplugs! I loved my stay and would stay again
- 3/5
Has a lot of historic architecture but the rooms need major upgrades The parking is $50 a night and it’s across the street from the hotel The beds and pillows were horrible Rooms are very small Bathrooms were old and outdated with yellow lighting Elevator was slow and it felt like it was going to go down any minute Stairs are squeaky with dim lighting, very unsafe. Overall a bad experience and not worth the price
- 5/5
The rooms were clean and well maintained. If you have a hard time sleeping through noise, I would recommend asking for a room away from the street. I slept perfectly fine though. The staff were nice and attentive.
- 5/5
Great staff, nice historic building
- 3/5
Thin walls - heard all the traffic outside. Poor AC - even when the thermostat was set to 64*F, it was very hot in the room. TV was unable to connect to any channels and required maintenance to drop by. Broken fridge with a broken replacement fridge.
- 5/5
I'll return...a reasonably cost-effective, interesting place with a charm of its own
- 5/5
Bed was very comfortable and rooms clean and comfortable
- 5/5
Hotel was so beautiful and the rooms were great! I really enjoyed my stay here and it is located around a lot of good restaurants. I would definitely come back again.
- 5/5
The front desk was very friendly and was amazing at assiting
- 3/5
Great stay, but they charged the wrong card🙄 I asked them to charge the credit card I put down for the deposit, not the card it was booked with
- 5/5
CJ at the front desk provided great service with checking in and ensuring our stay was off to a great start. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The Normandie lounge/ bar a few buildings down had a good night vibe and delicious libations. I would recommend the hotel.
- 4/5
I had a nice stay at the Normandie Hotel in Los Angeles. The hotel has a charming, vintage vibe with modern touches, and the rooms were cozy and the bed was comfortable. The location is convenient for exploring the city, and the staff was friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Great place, cozy highly recommend !
- 5/5
Service was amazing!

Street noise
- 3/5
Parking lot diagonal crossed street not feel safe near by and around, especially evening check-in experience was not out of the expectation.
- 5/5
I’ve stayed here many times on work trips and it’s always a pleasant stay. The team is consistently friendly and helpful. Rooms are always well maintained and cozy. I’ve tried out other hotels around K-town just to try, but I always come back here as my preferred hotel. Looking forward to my next stay.
- 5/5
Classic building in a convenient location. Good diner in the building for breakfast with a $25 credit from hotel. Would definitely stay there again.
- 5/5
Centrally located boutique hotel. Great staff and clean.
- 5/5
Parking was secure and easy, yes it was like $50 but forget trying to find parking somewhere else. Hotel is fantastic, got to learn about it’s history. It’s a no brainer to stay here
- 5/5
Great staff , had requested items in our room upon arrival
- 4/5
The staff very helpful and the parking lot very close by and convenient. It could do more about the update of the hotel since it was not an iron inside the room. A little disappointed about that
- 5/5
What truly stood out, though, was the exceptional hospitality from the staff. CJ and Adam went above and beyond to make the stay memorable. CJ, in particular, was incredibly kind and helpful during the wine sampling, making it both enjoyable and informative. Their friendliness and attention to detail really elevated the experience. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Los Angeles. It’s a great combination of comfort, quality, and outstanding service.

Not quite and very noisy
- 5/5
The charming room was perfectly clean and comfortable. The staff was very welcoming and the cute restaurant was very convenient with tasty food. Enjoyed my two night stay.
- 1/5
Cockroach in the room. Checked out.
- 5/5
Over all great stay for over night
- 4/5
The hotel is very old but it has nice amenities and a decently-sized room.

- 5/5
Vibe and restaurant
- 5/5
The tub was slow draining and there were a few cosmetic issues but the room was clean and otherwise very nice and spacious. I would stay here again.
- 3/5
The hotel lobby exudes old world charm; however, the minute you step in the elevator, you're greeted by a floor that needs extensive repair. Bad feeling. The staff was very kind and professional, but our TV didn't work properly. It was a nuisance and although the front desk staff went out of their way to help, maintenance was unavailable until Monday (we were there on the weekend). Also, the ice machine on the 3rd floor was broken, so we kept having to go elsewhere for ice. The shower was good and clean. The nightstands and dresser tops seriously need an upgrade. I had no idea there was a gym, so cannot comment. The overall issue for me since I have allergies was the very musty odor in the room. The temp was set to 84 when we stepped in, so the smell was very oppressive. They offered to spray with air freshener, but I can't handle things like Febreze, either. I probably wouldn't stay here again. So sorry!
- 5/5
Always a great stay here. I’m a fan of the hotel, staff and guests here. Always a good time!
- 5/5
A lovely place to stay. The interior was gorgeous, way better than the cookie cutter brand hotels or other "modern" establishments. The Rooms are comfortable and the house keeping came on a daily basis. Front desk staff were refreshingly engaged and chatty. I would love to spend more time here again in the future.
- 2/5
My room had a roach in it bigger than the one from that last episode Jujuitsu Kaisen then the downstairs security wouldn’t allow a guest who’s name was told to be staying the night up to the room causing him to have to sleep outside. Not one of my favorite stays. Shout out the hotel staffer that got me upgraded to a suite complimentary
- 5/5
Everything was fantastic. Great location. Loved the wine tastings.
- 5/5
We have stayed here many times and is our go-to for trips to LA. The staff are always extremely friendly and helpful, the hotel is clean and comfortable and I love the historic building
- 4/5
The main downside was that the furniture felt quite old, and the room had a noticeable old-furniture smell. Also, the restaurant next door does not open until 9:00 AM, which makes breakfast inconvenient if you need to leave earlier. Since the hotel is located right by the street, traffic noise was also pretty noticeable.
- 5/5
Hotel Normandie is a charming hotel in Koreatown. The staff was so helpful and kind. They really were the best. The location and parking made being in LA so easy. The filtered cold water and comfortable bed made our trip top notch. This is an older building so bring your ear plugs, but the noise is easily overlooked for the location, price point and service. We will stay again!
- 5/5
We stayed six nights. It’s a charming place that is conveniently located, and with fast and efficient help.
- 4/5
I like that you can check in earlier(than standard 3:00pm time)
- 5/5
The staff were exceptionally nice. The hotel is older, but in good shape, clean and spacious. There is ample street parking. The burger restaurant attached is delicious. My room was quiet. Highly recommend for a great value stay.
- 4/5
My stay at Hotel Normandie was very pleasant. The staff are so friendly and helpful. It is an older hotel, but that is part of the appeal. It was very quiet and the location is great because there a lot of restaurants that are walkable. The property and room was very clean.
- 5/5
Great location. Adjoining restaurant food is pretty good. Overall a good spot for a short trip.

Fantastic service. Incredibly helpful and attentive. Room was lovely. Would go out of my way to visit this hotel again.

Nice historic hotel with fine simple rooms and a very attentive staff. Enjoyed the adjacent Cassels restaurant. Dicey location, although we walked around at night with no problems. Located in trendy Koreatown. Good value.
- 5/5
Loved my room... clean and comfortable. The front desk staff was friendly and very attentive.
- 5/5
It’s classic but clean and perfect!!
- 5/5
Utterly charming revived older hotel. Great staff. Delightful wine hour in old timey lobby. Fun retro restaurant adjacent to lovby. Great location in Korea tiwn and near metro. Very reasonably priced. A not fancy but charming gem
- 5/5
Great location for restaurants

This is centrally Located if you're coming to LA it's a good place to be if you want to be in LA just be prepared that this is LA and la is not like other places

Great place to stay for business trip
- 5/5
Safe and reliable lodging in central Koreatown. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Slight noise from other rooms. Accessible parking across the street billed to room for ease and 24hr security. I'm a repeat guest and will stay here again.

Careful on parking in the parking lot diagonal from the hotel. I got my catalytic converter stolen from my vehicle last week. It's about $4,000 to replace so I had to do an insurance claim which is still going to cost me more in the long run.

Our check-in was quick and our room was in line with what we expected. If I had one note, it is that wall hooks and clothes storage are limited. It wasn't a big deal with our 3-night stay, but for longer term stays, I could see it impacting our comfortability in the room. The connected restaurant came in handy a few times for desert and quick snacks. Overall, I would highly recommend Hotel Normandie for both the quality of service, and the location.

Room was clean and did not have any concerns at all. Just a bit traditional with the safety deposit boxes downstairs but wasn’t a hassle at all since there’s someone to assist at all hours to go to the box! There was a great burger place joint with the hotel which made everything easy and comfortable for breakfast lunch etc. Ktown was also a pretty safe neighbourhood although we didn’t go out much past 11pm so not sure after those hours! Great cafes and restaurants local near by and wonderful routes for walking! All in all great experience with great service :)

Exceptional hospitality, spotless rooms, and thoughtful details. The elegant Christmas décor made my holiday stay truly special
- 4/5
The room was comfortable, as was the bed. If you're a light sleeper however, I will say you should probably consider bringing earplugs as this is an old hotel with thin walls, and floors that creak and groan with every step, both in your room and the rooms surrounding you. Since it's an old hotel, some might consider this atmosphere a charming part of its personality, but for me, it's a sign of much needed renovation, and this is pretty clear appearance-wise as well, with the floor in my room clearly having been through some hard times. Also, the drapes in the room don't completely close or overlap for total blackout, so you'll always have some light coming in. As a place to sleep and shower, it served its purpose but it does need a bit of a face lift.

The room was okay although it was a little small with a funky TV. The biggest problem was with parking. The hotel uses a public parking lot across the street which is small and requires tandem parking to fit all of the cars. Also not the best neighborhood.

Horrific customer service. I will never book here again. Was hospitalized and unable to travel and they were completely impossible to work with. I even just asked to change dates so I could travel once I recovered and they were awful.

I had a great hotel room. Very clean and spacious. The staff was very friendly. I was able to get coffee at the shop connected to the hotel. Highly recommend coming here

This is my "go-to" hotel when I travel to Los Angeles. The hotel is charming, the rooms are SPOTLESS, and most importantly, all the staff are wonderful. Adam, the manager, is totally guest-focused and does everything he can to solve even the biggest problem.

Our stay was fantastic. Clean, warm, no funky smells. Service was great, responsive to texts. We got to rent some umbrellas during the storm, it was nice that they had some available for guests. I have already recommended it to family. Cool historic spot.

Great old LA hotel! Spacious room, clean, comfy bed. Great location for the show at the Wiltern -- 10 min walk!

Great staff. Well equipped room. Nice lobby and meeting spaces. Bathtub didn’t drain and the ice maker on my floor was inoperable. Regardless the price and location worked well and I felt comfortable staying there.

Allot of history here. Went to concert at the Wilturn theater downtown . A 5 min Uber . Check in very smooth, rooms were very nice ,clean and convenient .
- 5/5
Wonderful evening staff to help me check in who were very kind and helpful.
- 5/5
I really like the location right in the middle of koreatown with lots of nearby options for food and drinks. Parking was across the street and easy to access.
- 5/5
Good stay. Will stay again
- 5/5
Extremely nuce and friendly sraff! winderful ambience, clean rooms, great pillows, close to a Metro station, connected to a casual spot with great food and service, all at a very reasonable price!
- 5/5
Great little gem! I love the historical aspect. Wish they had offered a coffee cart in the morning down in the lobby like they do a wine happy hour in the evening and beds were super comfortable with nice quality sheets on but wish there could be two queen beds versus two total vets even though probably the rooms are too small for them. Otherwise loved the experience and a great little lobby for relaxing in.
- 5/5

- 5/5

Bar was only complain. Showed up 15s before closing was told can not order a drink. Which is understandable until the same guy that told us no dressed as a Native American for Halloween offered new drinks for everyone at the bar top. Service kept us from not going back next day.
- 5/5

- 5/5
Nicely restored from 1926 with an Old LA vibe.
- 5/5

- 5/5
Everything was perfect. Staff friendly, helpful. Lobby is so lovely & the “Evening drinks” such a wonderful tradition!
- 5/5
Fantastic location and clean rooms, absolutley loved our stay.
- 1/5
Walls and windows on 4th floor are extremely thin and sleep was near impossible without earplugs with street noise and guest noise in neighboring bedroom. Very unlucky placement this time as our last stay was great.
- 2/5
I had high hopes for this place. Room was ok but the worst part was that our room was right above the bar and with the hotel being from the golden age you can hear all the music from downstairs. Windows are single pane so you can hear ALL outdoor noise, if you get booked in mid 200 rooms ask to stay on opposite side of bar area.
- 5/5
There is no breakfast but there is free wine tasting in the evening. The staff is very friendly. There are many good Korean restaurants around the hotel. If you want to visit Korea town, I recommend this place.
- 5/5
Love the character and charm! It could use some updating to the rooms, but we felt safe and everything was clean. The staff was so friendly!

that’s all and Thank you.

I frequent this hotel for work and its general everything I need. From convenience to the office. Great food nearby. Hospitable staff. Occasional room upgrades. My only caveat is no microwave in the rooms. But I would still highly recommend.
- 4/5
The decor and history were lovely, and the restaurant was fun. The rooms are small, but clean and stylish. They are very strict about smoking and pot use (fine by us) we were warned several times and told there was a fee if our room smelled or showed evidence of either being used. Our first room stunk of pot, so out of an abundance of caution due to the warnings, we called the front desk. They said they needed to send someone up to confirm our claim and would need to move us to clean even though we were fine. It was a bit of curfuffle when we were ready to settle. No big deal, bit example of how strict the staff are about rules, which may be a good thing. Our second room was a corner, but right on top of the windows to an apartment building next door. Their parking is close, but offsite and costs extra. Pretty good location of the hotel.

Nice hotel, nice people.
- 5/5
Super friendly staff, very helpful and personable! Was able to check in early as well. Great location, within walking distance to many restaurants and cafes.
- 5/5
Great hotel. Right in the heart of koreatown in LA. Hotel has a restaurant downstairs with great drinks and food. Hotels very quiet and spacious. I highly recommend visiting this hotel
- 1/5
Parking options are non existent, valet wasn’t available, and I called the front desk twice with no response.
- 3/5
We didn't eat breakfast at the burger place nextdoor. The room was clean and the bed comfy but the windows didn't seal and it was very loud outside. The black out drapes didn't and the sun sure is bright way too early. The elevator died so I had to lug down our bags with an injured leg
- 4/5
Clean room, very nice staff
- 4/5
They have an on-site restaurant. Very helpful staff. They have glass cups instead of plastic in the room. The only thing I did not like is when we enter the room, it has some type of steel odor and the mini refrigerator needs defrosting.
- 5/5
Will be back, this place is cozy and lovely and staff is friendly.
- 5/5
Great staff, clean and very cool building
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly, room was comfy and clean, and the food at the restaurant downstairs is delicious! The hotel is also very conveniently located, it’s walking distance from a bunch of food options and accessible.
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
TV signals not working well
- 5/5
Many shops and dining options in walking distance.

Great location. Pretty historic property. Safe walkable neighborhood. Parking across the street

El personal muy amable y buen servicio
- 5/5
Clean room, walking distance to great restaurants and The Wiltern. Will definitely be back.
- 5/5
Very nice atmosphere
- 5/5
amazing art deco hotel within
- 1/5
bathroom rub cloggy, bathroom wall not renovated, and both the room and hotel turned out different from advertised on the hotel's profile.
- 5/5
I travel to LA often and always stay here. The value is great; staff are friendly, rooms are well appointed and charming, and the location is excellent.
- 5/5
We stay here whenever we go to LA and it’s always a wonderful experience! Downtown LA is not my favorite but once you’re inside this hotel it is beautiful! Clean, quiet and so charming
- 5/5
Charming hotel with a great staff! Walkable to KTown shopping and dining.
- 4/5
The comforters had stains on them.
- 4/5
The hotel itself is advertised just as you see the pictures, the rooms are clean and well appointed, onsite restaurant had very good food. Only downside is the area itself is dirty but what can you expect for a busy City? Overall, I would recommend staying here and I would stay again.
- 4/5
We liked the hotel overall. I wish they had a safe box in the room as many hotels have.
- 4/5
I appreciated the staff and their professionalism and the ease of checking in. The room was updated and very nice. The restaurant was great as well.
- 5/5
Great location
- 5/5
Great!
- 5/5
My Jr Suite was perfect. Loved the soaking tub, the wet bar, and the huge windows that I could leave open at night. The staff was wonderful and always helpful! The wine reception every evening was the perfect touch! They even played great swing music for it. Can’t say enough good things about my stay! Great job! The only thing I’d say they could improve would be to let guests know about Bar Normandie, which is at the side of the building. Lovely dark little spot with a nice whiskey menu.
- 5/5
very nice staff
- 5/5
good service
- 3/5
We found a live roach in the bathroom sink. My husband reported that he was in the lobby around 4:30 am for a work call and there was no one at the front desk for over an hour but the front door was unlocked. Very dangerous.
- 5/5
I love staying here!!
- 1/5
Do yourself a favor—avoid this place.
- 5/5
Great location and friendly staff!

Great location and friendly staff!
- 5/5
We had a great stay at Hotel Normandie. Tj, one of the front desk assistant, was very helpful and very kind. He welcomed us with a warm heart, and I felt as if I’m part of the family of Normandie. He recommended us places to try out for food, including the bakery's around the area, as we were celebrating my partners birthday. If ever we were to go back to LA, I would definitely stay there again, and also recommend it to friends and family.
- 1/5
Checked in to a dead cockroach on the toilet floor. This raises doubts about the hotel’s cleanliness. Rooms are very noisy. You will not have a peaceful night

I really loved this property! The staff were so nice. The bed was so soft, it made checking out of the hotel so hard. I would absolutely stay here again.
- 5/5
Good place to stay in known.
- 5/5
The hotel is inviting and beautiful. It is centrally located to most things in LA, and it worked perfectly for our stay.
- 5/5
This place exceeded our exceptions. A nicely renovated boutique hotel that kept the charm of its illustrious past (hardwood floors, mahogany doors, beautifully tiled deep bathtub) and added modern necessities (great shower, comfy beds n bedding, magnetic passkeys). It’s well managed and staff was wonderful: Attentive, competent, friendly. Grand lobby was comfortably furnished, nice for meeting up with friends. Wide variety of restaurants nearby. And the price was a bargain for the area. Parking’s available but we chose not to rent a car and got around fine with hired cars and the subway (purple line’s just a block away). Highly recommend it.
- 5/5
Convenience
- 4/5
The property is an older building, with what seemed to be original floors and other infrastructure. Staff was also very friendly! I appreciated the aesthetic. The room I stayed in did have a smell of wet wood? potentially related to the humidity but definitely to the air system. It bothered my sinuses and stuck to my clothes and the linens a bit. Otherwise great stay!
- 3/5
My only issue with the place was the valet parking. I paid $45 for overnight valet parking, but when it came time to collect my car, the valet was nowhere to be found. After waiting around and asking for help, the front desk staff wasn’t particularly helpful either. In total, it took nearly 45 minutes just to get my vehicle back. For the price I paid, I expected a smoother and more reliable service. Honestly, I would have saved myself time and frustration by parking on the street.
- 1/5
The service was great. The hotel not as advertised
- 3/5
Shower leaked out all over the floor. Tiles missing in the elevator. Floor squeaks. No Microwave, unless you asked for it then someone carry it to your room. No desk, or space to eat or set out your stuff. Comforter ripped in multiple spots. No parking.
- 5/5
Really enjoyed staying here. Was walking distance to great ktown options.
- 5/5
Friendly staff
- 5/5
Front desk staff and security were so friendly and very helpful
- 2/5
Not clean enough for my standards. Left
- 5/5
I stayed for almost a week and had no problems. The room was clean. The staff was kind. It was close to multiple public transport stops so it was easy to go back and forth from my room to the places I wanted to go see or eat at. It was wonderful and I’d stay here again! The walls aren’t too great and I could hear my neighbors moving things around in their rooms at times but I didn’t mind. I had a wonder time.
- 5/5
I like the decor of the room. You can walk to lots of places from the hotel. I love the free pass to the big box gym nearby. The hotel staff was very nice too.
- 3/5
It’s expensive. And they don’t give you any water. Bed was comfortable I like shampoo lotions conditioner. But that building smells to old.
- 5/5
Great staff and comfortable accommodations. Access to restaurant and convenience stores nearby. In walkable area of LA.
- 5/5
Great
- 3/5
Staff was friendly. Location to K-Town was great. Parking at $45 p/n to be across the street seemed pretty expensive. For $45, would have been nice to have valet bring car to the hotel vs having to walk. Building is old and outdated. Rooms very small for family of 4. Bathroom was very dated and felt and looked dirty. Walkways down hallways creaked. Felt like old hotels in NYC. Low key a bit creepy. Overall though, location and staff was very nice.
- 4/5
slept well, value for money, rooms and corridor could do with an upgrade. All in all a good stay. EXCELLENT burger restaurant
- 1/5
This was a terrible experience — the room was dirty and old, and frankly I wish I could get a refund.
- 5/5
Loved this place! Clean, comfortable, and kind staff. Quiet environment, the walls are thin but everyone was respectful so it wasn't an issue! The wine reception each evening was also a nice perk! :) Would stay again.
- 1.5/5
The parking WAS NOT clear, staff was rude and didn’t listen to my feedback.
- 5/5
Staff is amazing!! Excellent service!

Great little hotel in an historic building with good updates. Fantastic staff and shower! Very convenient to other areas of town. Lots of walking distance dining options. Excellent value!
- 5/5
Clean room and nice staff.
- 5/5
There is a restaurant attached to the hotel-Cassell’s. Good for breakfast or burgers. Vintage property that is quaint.
- 5/5
The staff were nice and friendly. The room was clean all the time.and the location was nice.
- 3/5
Historic property but alot of hidden charges. Parking is insane
- 4/5
Never stayed at a Hotel that was unable to store our luggage at checkout. We had a full schedule booked that day and were left to run around trying to find somewhere to put our luggage after we were told "it was full"
- 5/5
It's LA and K town(Korean influence) and full of authentic food. Attached restaurant to hotel is awesome. Rooms are great, authentic in historical aesthetics. Staff and attention to details was superior!
- 5/5
Everything was great!
- 5/5
The check in staff at night was so nice and welcoming. Love the character of the hotel and old Hollywood charm. It was a little humid in the room when we arrived and house keeping forgot to clean out the fridge, but they were right outside the door when we got to the room and it was easily fixed. Parking while expensive was convenient. Great food all around. Location is ideal since you are no more than 15 minutes away from all the best LA attractions: El Capitan, walk of fame, Hollywood bowl, Griffith Park, La Brea Tar Pit, LACMA and much more.
- 4/5
The hotel is older but charming, old California. The guys in the front desk we're always nice & helpful. Parking is sitúated across the street. Our room was very clean. Centrally located to visit all the local attractions.
- 1/5
The room had rusty metal planks bolted to the floor. Filthy chairs, we lysoled the bed and ended up checking out and being moved to a better hotel. Ive attached pictured below. Do not stay here!
- 5/5
Great experience overall.
- 1/5
The staff were friendly and the location was fantastic. However, aside from the two positives above, it felt like a cheap motel. Except for the lobby, the rest of the place was a mess. I strongly advise against going with family or a partner.
- 4/5
The diner was our favorite part! Great food and incredible staff!
- 5/5
The hotel itself was incredibly charming. The wine social hour was a nice touch. Special shout out to CJ for going above and beyond during my stay!
- 5/5
We were very happy to find that parking was right across the street which made it easy to come and go.
- 5/5
Great Service!

- 5/5
Really enjoyable, quiet, clean and close to decent transport links.
- 5/5
Beautiful space
- 5/5
location was excellent. on site dining does not stay open late or open early for breakfast
- 4/5
The Normandie is a classic LA hotel from the 1930’s in the Koreatown neighborhood.
- 5/5
The Cassell's restaurant was connected with the hotel and the staff in there were extremely nice and helpful. The whole experience was just so pleasant. I would definitely return. Unfortunately there is no roof access. I was really looking forward to it.

- 5/5
All of the staff are so friendly and helpful! This was my second time staying here and I enjoyed the experience so much!
- 5/5
I loved that everything was clean. The staff was very friendly & helpful. We had originally gotten a room that was facing the street. I’m a light sleeper so they accommodated us in a suite that was very quiet. We had a late checkout & the parking attendant extended our time at no cost. Cassell’s cafe had great breakfast & their coffee was delicious! Stayed one night since we were in town for a concert at the Hollywood Bowl. Would definitely stay here again!
- 5/5
great hotel
- 5/5
Very charming hotel in Koreatown. The ambience was very art deco, had a nice lived in feel. Staff were very friendly, was even able to check in early which was a plus. Parking lot catty corner to the hotel, easy access. Attached to a restaurant you can access from the inside of the hotel. Would stay here again.
- 5/5
CJ Front desk was amazing and always attentive… We joined for wine social and the selection was great!
- 5/5
Wonderful customer
- 3/5
Parking is diagonal from the hotel and $45 a night. The people working there are really nice. The area it is felt pretty safe compared to other spots on LA. The room was okay. It’s very old. We could hear them vacuuming from a few rooms down. Heard the people above us walking around as well. The bathroom has seen some things. There were pieces of TP in our tub when we got there. The shower also flooded to my mid calf when I was showering. Would I stay here again? Probably not if they haven’t renovated their rooms and bathrooms. However, it wasn’t a terrible hotel for one night when we didn’t spend much time in our room.
- 2/5
While the staff was nice, the rooms are of below average cleanliness. There was a live cockroach in my room, which resulted in having to be moved to a different room.
- 5/5
We had a wonderful and easy and relaxing stay. Anything we needed, we were aided in.
- 4/5
Ok
- 5/5
The room and lobby were beautiful, I loved the neighborhood, and I appreciated that they provided filtered water so I didn’t have to go out to buy some. The food at Cassel’s was delicious. It was overall a pleasant stay.
- 5/5
Great location, nice staff. Some street noise, but the building is quiet. Wonderful place to stay in the center of LA.

Starting at around 11pm, you hear extremely loud bass from someone's party, so loud that even earbuds can't block it out. Sleeping is a challenge
- 5/5
The staff was amazing the charm of the 1920s Hollywood in the room was exactly what I love I didnt wanna leave. I was a local author at the LA Times Festival of books and it was only a six minute Uber ride to USC so the location was perfect the wine rece
- 5/5
The music in the lobby was too modern for my taste--wouldn't want "Twenties" tunes either, though. Mellow classical would have been more soothing.
- 4.5/5
The water in the tub doesn't drain very well so while I take a shower, the water will fill up the tub
- 5/5
Comfort, cleanliness, and location. Also hotel employees made us feel welcome and did a great job.

The curtains in the room didn¿t close all the way. So are up before you want to be because it¿s too bright in the room.
