I like the quiet AC. It’s a A plus. So I can sleep well at night. Friendly staff and clean room. If the mattress is harder would be perfect. Definitely will come back again.

Breakfast was not included. Charge to park in garage, but plenty of street parking for free! Location is good if you are in the area. Not great depending on where you need to go in LA. But good for my family and friends. Gym is 3 machines and some weights. TV did not work on the treadmill. Makes for a boring workout.

Great location, clean and bright, great place to stay! Breakfast well priced and easy to grab. Free coffee and got water and regular water at all times. Parking is about $25 a night underground, you can park in the area overnight on the street just be careful about the signs. Street infront of the hotel is only 1 hour 8am - 6pm, across the street it’s 2 hours during those times :)

We had a wonderful stay! The parking was easy to access and well-lit. The property and room were clean and spacious. The staff members we encountered were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was delicious. I wish there had been a little bit more to choose from, but I LOVED that they had complimentary coffee and water all day! I’m a big coffee drinker, and their coffee was delicious! The room was very comfortable. It included a small microwave, refrigerator, and coffee machine, which came in very handy! The beds were super comfortable, and we slept really well. Check out process was a breeze. We will definitely stay here again!

This was a wonderful hotel for our family visit. They had a nice patio with couches and tables where we could spend time together. Wholefoods and some restaurants were across the street making it easy to get good. We will be back.

Location is convenient because it is located to close to freeway's exit, supermarket, etc. Staffs are very kind to help. Only one bad thing was it was noisy on ceiling, which may be thin. Whenever someone moves, it was so noisy that I was a little irritated.

It is a nice, clean hotel. Great location. Helpful and kind front desk staff. I would stay there again. The only negative was the other people staying at the hotel: different groups wearing no shoes and pajamas in the hallways, sitting outside with loud music playing, talking loudly in the hallways, kids running back and forth in the room above, etc. If you ask for a room on the top floor, you might avoid some of these issues.

Hotel Mariposa was a great choice for our 5 day stay. The room was clean, the bed very comfortable. We used the workout room, hot tub and corn whole game during our down time. Coffee in the lobby was very helpful. The staff to a person were very friendly. It was also convenient that Hugos, a restaurant, was across the street and recommended. It gave a discount for hotel guests We also popped into the Whole Foods at the corner several times. We will we stay again the next time we're in LA.

The room is clean and organized. Will definitely stay in this hotel again. Inside parking is around $26 per day but there's a street parking for free, you just have to take a risk.

Most staff I encountered were extremely friendly and efficient. I appreciated being greeted when returning each evening. I intended to give a 5 star review but I changed my mind after my interaction with the receptionist on the last morning. I had gone out for a walk and got delayed when taking a phone call. When I returned I requested an additional 15 mins (this was at 10.40pm) to shower and leave the room. The receptionist was on call, clearly with another staff member and I had to wait 4-5 minutes to talk to her. She said she could only give me 5 minutes extra in the room. The cleaning supervisor knocked my door at 11.03am. I ended up in reception with wet hair, putting on my jewellery and fixing my last few items. It was extremely disappointing that I couldn’t be given this small amount of time. I had had no housekeeping for the 6 days as I am a tidy person and there were sufficient towels and supplies in the room. Therefore I think I am quite a low maintenance guest. The receptionist did credit me the $4 I owed for a croissant when I raised my frustration but this didn’t placate me. I lived in Studio City for many years and will return regularly to visit friends - however I am not sure now I will stay here again.

Clean and easy. The pool is more of a hot tub but no complaints. Nice gym with a water bottle refill station. Good matrices and turn down service cleaned well. The park structure was easy to get in and out. Always spots no matter how late we came in.

Parking was underground and tucked away with cameras in opportune areas, so we felt super comfy about leaving it there. Staff was friendly and check-in was a breeze since we prepaid. Deposit was reasonable and so was the snack shop for water and such. Great, healthy choices to eat near by and they're located super close to Universal which was a pleasant surprise. The property is we kept and we really enjoyed hanging out near the pool. Bathtub in our room was a plus; and super deep and long. Best choice we've made in a hotel in a long while. Competitive rates and they treated us very well. It was such a good stay that we're planning to go back this Summer.

I enjoyed my stay. Staff was nice and it's a nice hotel. It would had been nice if there were more options to eat near by the hotel or if the hotel had a restaurant. The only thing I can say that was negative was the was a fairly big stain on my sheets by the head of the bed. We got in after midnight on the first night so I did not inspect the sheets until the next morning and there was also a stain on a pillow. The stains on the sheets and pillow are the only reason for 4 stars and not 5

Awesome location and easy check in with paid parking garge. Walkable to a few restaurants but mostly ate at Whole Foods across the street. It is right off the freeway and next to a gas station. There is mall short drive down the street. If its not rush hour traffic we drove to beverly hills and santa monica pier within 30 min. The hotel looks new or renovated. Thanks for the stay

The staff was incredible. Danny was great during our check in process. We got a room that had a decent view. The hot tub was a nice additional feature that we took advantage of. Due to parking in the area, it was easy to leave the car there while taking an uber/lyft to grab food. Room was nice. I just wish the water was a little warmer when showering but I'd stay here again.

Everything was great except for the abandoned building outside our window view. The hotel is right next to the freeway. You could definitely hear the cars, but surprisingly, it wasn't as loud as I expected. The hotel was clean, friendly staff, good free coffee, good size spa tub, near Whole Foods market, affordable parking, well-lit hallways and parking garage, and a comfortable bed. I would definitely stay here again in the near future.

I really enjoyed them and even cirque up a conversation one evening with one of them. Breakfast was below average. It was right after Christmas and they were not getting any deliveries of new food. They were vitally know options other than what they had left in inventory.. They totally need to upgrade and improve that aspect.

This really is a hidden gem! We planned a day at Universal Studios and this hotel is in the perfect location, away from the busy touristy spots but within a short driving distance of Universal. The area is quiet and the hotel was very modern and clean. Danny at the reception desk was very nice and polite. There is a good restaurant on the corner within walking distance for either breakfast or dinner. Hotel has lower parking garage with two levels for on site parking which does cost extra but was reasonable. The room is very simple, no extras but spacious, neat, modern and clean. The bedding is excellent, some of the best pillows and mattress I've experienced at a hotel. If I ever plan a return visit to Universal Studios, I will definitely be staying here again!

This was a last-minute booking, so happy that we chose hotel Mariposa. Check-in was simple and quick. Underground parking available, and the room was very spacious with all the amenities. The bed was very comfortable. Had a good nights rest after a long drive!

It's very noisy you can hear people walking back and forth above and hear people talking through the walls throughout the night. I got woken up in the middle of the night with sounds of someone trying to open my door

We loved the restrooms most of all, beautiful tub, great water pressure and awesome lighting! The beds were comfortable, the hot tub was relaxing, love the free coffee, and the distance to and from Universal Studios. We only stayed two nights because we had to go to Anaheim and stay at another hotel. The hotel was a residence Inn by Marriott and Hotel Mariposa was much better!! My family missed everything compared to our second hotel which was subpar compared to your property. If we ever come back to LA, we will definitely stay here again!!

The morning auditor was so nice, I think her name was Aurelie. We forgot something in the room after checkout and she went above and beyond to help us get it back. Really recommend how pretty this hotel was! Plus underground parking? Bonus! Didn’t like they charged, but it’s worth it. Will be coming back soon

The hotel location was perfect for our needs. We went to Universal Studios and that Farmer's Market on Sunday is our favorite. The Hugo's across the street and Whole Foods is convenient. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. The parking was easy. The room was very comfortable. I did think there was going to be a pool, but the hot tub is a good size, and we didn't even have a chance to use it -- but would have. All in all, it's a great option.

The staff was really welcoming and accommodating. I appreciated how friendly everyone was and how they made me feel comfortable during my stay. The only minor thing I didn’t like was that carpet cleaning was scheduled to start at 8:30 a.m., and we had just gotten back from a Halloween night event at 2 a.m. However, when I asked them to skip my room, they kindly did which I really appreciated!

We arrived, there was a several things that needed to be addressed: the room smelled like a skunk. Then our key did not work, (battery was died on the door). Then the bathroom sink would not drain. These were all addressed and taken care of quickly by the staff. It was a bit inconvenient because I travelled 14-hours and was tired. The ad says breakfast included. You have to pay for breakfast. But there is a restaurant across the street that will give you 10 percent off your meal if you show them your room key. (Best butter milk pancakes) There is parking underneath the hotel for $25 plus tax If you leave in the underneath parking during the day there is a charge. (You can also park on the side of the street for free, we did only for the day time.)There is only 1 very small pool. The ad appears to have two. We stayed two days. The staff were friendly. With all these mishaps, I would still go back. But one of my sons says it is meant for those on a romantic trip. We went for the house of horrors.!

This property at Mariposa has really declined over the last year. We had stayed here previously and enjoyed. This time around, things have really declined. Room seemed hardly clean and view outside was deplorable area of property. I HATE writing negative reviews and am sad to write this one for a prior favorite.

One of the nicest hotels we stayed at in a while. we came for Universal it’s right down the road the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. they have parking on site that’s underneath of the hotel for $25 a night. The room is extremely clean as well as the bathroom. Working air conditioning is always a plus, we love a cool room. they have a 24 hour gym on site on the first floor as well as a hot tub/pool. We’ll be staying here again when we come to Universal.

Had a pretty late checkin and the front desk staff was available and friendly. It was a short work trip, but would definitely stay here again. The rooms are clean, quiet and very large.

Nice location right off of the freeway. Our room was clean, comfy, clean and we did not hear the noise as others talked about. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Easy drive to the ball game or the walk of fame.

This was a nice clean room to stay in. It’s a minimalist hotel room. Bath tub is huge. But if you have problems with your legs getting in and out would be difficult. The staff is wonderful. And all day. Water and coffee and tea is available.

Would go back. Very very clean and overall a really nice hotel. Their beds and pillows were very comfortable.

To start is not ventilation you take showers and all the steam will be in all room the phone don’t work the fire alarm when on and nobody came to check anything my husband have to make air with a towel is a restaurant a close stree that is supposed be working together and get a discount for dinning and the hotel stuff never mentioned. Inside the room is bottle of water that if you drinking is a share of $3 for bottle . Oh and you will hear from the side and top every step people make . Is the wors hotel ever .

We had cleaning service every day. Very clean hotel and costumer service was great. I would love the hotel to have full breakfast options and at least a restaurant as well.

Great staff clean rooms safe and nice environment

As a person who’s picky about hotels this one passed the test. Everything was up to standard, room and bathroom. Everything was clean and the room was spacious.

Nothing really special about this hotel. They state they have a restaurant that offers breakfast but it is very limited and overpriced. Do not recommend. The view is an abandoned building. They charge an additional $25 for parking at the hotel. Overall, I would skip this hotel you can probably find a better and less expensive one in the area.

Would definitely stay again! Beautiful, clean property. Only downfall is that it is not close to majority of attractions, but the hotel made up for a lot of that. Didn’t eat breakfast because you had to pay for it, but enjoyed beverages (coffee, hot chocolate, water) served throughout the day and night.

This is a lovely hotel with great amenities. If you need a nice place to stay while exploring LA or Universal, this is an excellent choice. Clean and everything was new

The Hotel was amazing and clean.

Everything was good except for the noise in the upper floor room. It seemed like there was unsupervised small child who was constantly jumping, running, stomping in the room from 6am in the morning. We had to call the front desk on one of the mornings.

Great overnight spot for going to Iniversal. Asked for room not on back of hotel to minimize freeway koise. Was quiet but the view was of an abandoned building next door and trash. Otherwise very nice hotel, friendly staff and convenient location.

My first time staying at this property and was not sure what to expect as a boutique hotel. This property for exceeded any of my expectations proximity to all major roadways as well as having a convenient restaurant across the street that offers 10% in dining discount for anyone staying at the Mariposa just put the cherry on top. We’ll stay here again and again. Bravo!

Had difficultly in & out of the tub. Would have preferred a room with a shower

Super helpful staff who moved rooms for my dad because the bathtub was too high for him. They were so kind and moved him to a room with a shower.

Great location, clean and very comfy room. The freeway noise was a bit much so we asked to change rooms. The staff was awesome and very accommodating on all fronts. They easily moved us to a quieter room.

Comfortable and quiet.

Really nice hotel. The only downside is no soundproofing, from either street or from the corridor or from the neighboring rooms. You can hear every car on the street, every person passing by your room. Other than that, staff was really helpful, location is really good, street parking is always available. Room itself was very nice and clean.

The staff are very friendly, and I couldn’t recommend this hotel enough. There’s a Whole Foods store and Hugo’s restaurant across the street too :)

Overall I like it

My stay was clean, friendly, and easy from beginning to end. It was my first stay with a 5 month old and we were comfortable the whole time.

We thought the property was good, the staff was friendly and while this is not much they can do, I do want to say that if you’re not on the third floor and someone of above you, you will hear all of their footsteps. The first night someone was walking/running around for hours job the late evening and again in the morning making it hard to sleep. I did speak to the front desk and they said they would try to move me if it continued but the people left. Still if you’re a light sleeper good luck.

I like the location and its just right across a Wholefoods which I love. The rooms are clean and the beds are best.

Friendly staff.

Stayed for more than one night, I called to have them come up and clean up room and bring clean towels and they never did I had to call to ask for at least clean towels and take out trash myself. Toilet wasn’t working. And the sink was clogged when we arrived. Room was not fully clean, there was trash on the floor and we had towels with stains, that was why I had to ask for clean ones to begin with.

This is our go to hotel every time we go to Universal Studios. We have stayed here at least 5 times in the past 4 years
