Reviews
The hotel is praised for its great location, particularly its proximity to Little Tokyo, and friendly staff. However, there are consistent complaints about the high cost of parking, noise from protests, and cleanliness issues in some rooms.

We got assigned to a room that was preoccupied by another guest. Swiped the keycard, walked in and all the lights were left on and personal belongings everywhere. Went to the front desk and they just acted like it was nothing. Finally got into our new room, the ac barely worked. By our 2nd (last) day, the room was so humid and the ac wouldn’t cool under 70 degrees. I wouldn’t book here again.

This has become our go to in LA because it’s near the train station and great restaurants. They have a breakfast buffet also, that is way above average. Also the staff are friendly and helpful. Twice I’ve left valuables by accident and both times the items were turned in by staff.

The hotel is well situated for business people. Has a lot of space for meetings. Big open area where you can relax. Restaurant has enough variety on the menu to satisfy everyone. Could use a hot tub....

Windows let in noise too much, seals need replacong. Fridge was loud. Cant turn off extractor fan, tv signal kept cutting out, maid asked me 3 times for house keeping as if to suggest get out your room its check out time soon.

Staff was not friendly.. you can see them talking about everyone and took forever to help.. we had to ask for cookies they did not offer. The water fountain was not wking and they wouldn’t give water at least when we asked

I am writing to share my positive experience during my recent stay. The room was very clean, quiet, and comfortable. Additionally, I want to commend your staff for being incredibly friendly and helpful. They especially came through for me when I experienced an emergency issue with my phone. Thank you for the excellent service.

Comfortable bed. Breakfast was good. They did not let me check in. I had a confirmed reservation already paid for and I had the confirmation of this from Booking.com in both my name and my daughter’s name. My daughter had checked in before and she was not there when I arrived. We have the same last name. The hotel did not accept the written confirmation I presented and refused to let me check in. In their system it was in my daughter’s name. The hotel does not answer any questions of guests through the Booking.com site. Apparently they also have a problem communicating with Booking.cm- ir took them three hours to receive the same confirmation e-mail directly from Booking.com that I had presenred to them upon arrival.

Where do I even start? If you’re expecting the Doubletree Hilton standard forget it! This is not a 4 star hotel at best it’s 2. To check in early is 75$ no problem however the dirty room that was given not ok. The rooms are so run down . The bathroom are peeling and nasty. No room service and all excuses are “because of Covid”. If you’re black EVERYONE and I mean EVERYONE looks at you like how dare you have standards. Then the people next to us had loud aggressive s e x everyday at 5am

Great staff and beautiful property. The bartender Maria gave us such great service and she is such a charming person!

I was expecting a simple check in the properties managers know myself and my kids and the protection order which is why I use card provided for specific reasons but I was never given a room number managers know who I am before arriving everything is supposed to be provided by PROPERTY MANAGEMENT law enforcement Instead I’ve been treated poorly when I have earned myYour Honorable Member *working with my no blackout dates*and their third party booking rates management knowing the agreements working with 650000 Points per night and your staff has been disrespectful and I want it brought to the company’s attention and replacing employees with their trusted team who know what to do report this to management immediately.

Breakfast is expensive. We found Cherry Pick on Hill Street to be a better option, about 1/2 mile away. There are lots of Asian restaurants, walk out the restaurant to the street and go right. Staff were nice. Room was ok.

The location was the best feature of the hotel. It was walking distance from our dinner at Redbird.
- 3.5/5
The staff was very nice and the restaurant was good Outside windows in the room were very dirty. You want to look out the window and they are filthy. The have a cab company they promote that isn’t part of Hilton. His fees were ridiculous. We wanted a ride 10 miles to an in and out burger and were quoted $60 each way.

- 5/5
Location was great! Only a 7 minute walk to an event I was attending Restaurant was convenient and food was great! Beds were comfortable and clean! Great channels on TV! No complaints
- 3.5/5
Rooms were a bit outdated, room faucet needed repair and showers were small.
- 4/5
The room was great and the bed (especially the pillows) was really nice. The bathroom was exceptionally clean. The cookies we got on checking in were delicious. The neighborhood is in an area with tons of Asian restaurants and stores and had a fun outdoor vibe every day. There is a lot of street noise, but I can't fault the hotel for that.
- 4/5
Restaurant food was excellent though expensive, possibly making use of a captive clientele as local food outlets are limited. The hotel is dated and in need of a refurb, hence the lower price. Definitely not the standard expected from Hilton. Hotel is 2 streets from Skid Row, which is an area that should be avoided if you would like to feel safe whilst out and about.

I had a great stay at the hotel and really enjoyed the amenities. The location is very convenient, making it easy to get to different areas of Los Angeles. As someone visiting from another country, I found it fairly easy to get around. However, it’s important to be cautious as the area around the hotel is not the safest, with a high number of homeless individuals nearby. I would not recommend walking, even in the morning. I mainly used the метро, which felt safe and was within walking distance from the hotel.

Staff was really kind and helpful, my room was really clean and kept. Very good experience at this Hilton. You really can’t go wrong with a Hilton stay.
- 5/5
The staff went out of their way to accommodate our request for hypoallergenic and adjoining rooms. The valet staff also went out of their way to help. The rooms were not fancy, but very clean and quiet
- 5/5
Plenty of restaurants (Japanese) to choose from in the area. 711 across the street.
- 2/5
Hotel room was a bit outdated, mini fridge was off. Restroom too small

The property has comfortable rooms, and it’s close to everything that I do business with. But above all the staff here is amazing, Front desk staff go above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and pleasant for my staff and I. Diana from front desk has been amazing from day one. She is the reason why my staff and I always returned to this hotel. There are many hotels in the area, but only one Diana. In the past, I’ve spoken to different supervisors and managers praising her for the amazing work that she does for this hotel. I hope management and corporate office reads this review. Alejandra from Night Shift is also amazing, making sure our needs to wear met. The morning kitchen staff are the best. Marcos has always greeted me by my name and I was exactly what I want. Makes me feel like if I’m with Family every time I have breakfast here.

My wife and children were in the room at the time, and this incident caused them significant fear. We reported the incident to the hotel. They kindly offered to change our room, which we appreciated. However, we were told that they would “look into it,” and we were never informed of the outcome. This lack of follow-up left us feeling uneasy about the situation and overall room security.

I come here because of the excellent service that staff provides. Front desk Diana is amazing. My staff and I choose this hotel because of her amazing service. She’s always one phone call away to make our stay the best. Marcos from the restaurant in the mornings gives the best service very welcoming I do suggest for the kitchen to bring back the fried plantains, and soups.

First off, the staff! They were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. A special shoutout to the wonderful restaurant team—breakfast at Justin’s was fantastic! The food was great, especially for those busy mornings when you’re in a hurry. The mattress we had provided a good night’s sleep, which was essential. However, our stay wasn't without issues. The hotel is older and it shows. We experienced quite a bit of noise from helicopters, ambulances, and police cars throughout the night, which made sleeping a challenge. There were even moments when we questioned if we heard fireworks or gunshots in such close proximity. Unfortunately, the bathroom was a major letdown. It was in bad shape—twice the toilet clogged from barely a piece of paper, and the tiles were falling off. We even noticed some unpleasant smells, hinting at possible plumbing problems. In summary, while the staff and breakfast were highlights, the hotel clearly needs updates, especially in the bathrooms. If you're looking for a cozy stay, be prepared for some noise and necessary renovations.

Sleepers will be appreciated, tissues in the bed room, bigger trash can. We had bad experience with one of the front desk staff upon check in. We arrived in the morning from Anaheim, my husband and my daughter were in a hurry to use the lobby rest room which apparently locked. I was in the line to check whether we can have an early check in or not. Then my husband approached the front desk in a rush, asking about the key to the restroom and without even listening to the question, the lady a the front desk told my husband to get in line. I understand the manner to get in line but it was an urgent situation, my husband just want to ask a question but got a pretty harsh answer right away. What makes it worse, there was other guest that cut the line and ask for his key and the lady gave it to him. Not fair. We traveled all the way from Indonesia, we have been traveling to other places in the US and other countries, that was the first time we had the situation of a locked lobby rest room in a big international chain hotel. We complaint to the manager and he handled the situation nicely, we could check in (even though when I asked the receptionist the first time, she said we couldn't check in early). The restaurant staff, the bellman were all very friendly. Overall it was a good stay.

It is just an okay hotel. The best thing was the rate as Los Angeles is quite an expensive city. Room amenities are quite old and poorly maintained. Room cleanliness is fine but not excellent. Location is not bad if traveling by public transportation, but not ideal either. Sketchy people are around the premise as they are the whole downtown Los Angeles. The city is infested with chronic problems that you can smell it. This trip is our last trip to this apocalyptic place. Quite a pity considering many good places to have ethnic food around.
- 4/5
Room was clan and the staff friendly. Charge for parking was expensive and the deposit per night as well.
- 3/5
When room was cleaned they did not restock supplies. We had to ask for toilet paper!
- 4/5

Nice stay!
- 4/5
The outside patio door was very hard to open and it seemed like any wrong movement might take the sliding door off its ramp. The shower had a gap near the handle and when we used hot water the pipes started rattling and making noise. Besides all that the stay was wonderful. Just felt bad that we took the handlecappable room.

Also, the trench drain cover for the tub was lying on the floor. I tried to bring these issues up front desk when checking out and was given a piece of paper with an email address. Otherwise, very competitive pricing and friendly and hospitable staff.

Loved the king room, spacious, bathrooms okay, kind of small but clean. LOVED the warm cookies at check in
- 5/5
Welcoming front desk staff, amenities, clean room and good service.
- 2/5
The rooms is not giving off what the rest of the hotel is it was most definitely clean but the staff will place you in pretty much whatever room is open even if your specifically paid for a certain room the energy was not welcoming at all

Room in decent condition. Last day we were there the A/C broke and room hit 80 real quick. But wasn't too bad overall.
- 5/5
Super amazing! 10/10
- 5/5
Only issue was homeless was everywhere on the street but based on my understanding the hotel was in downtown.
- 2/5
Everything just wasn’t what I was expecting. Didn’t adhere to my standards. This is a place where I wouldn’t come back to

The good: The room was clean and the in house restaurant has good food and friendly staff. The gym has just enough treadmills, free weights, and machines to keep you happy for a few days. Parking is easy. The bad: The front desk staff left much to be desired, and usually had a long line with long waits. When I got home from work one day, I went all the way up to the room and found that my key did not work. I had to get in line and wait 20 minutes just to speak with someone to reprogram my key. She handed it back to me without any explanation. When I asked her why it did not work, she said, "I don't know. Our systems were down for most of the day." Parking is expensive at $47/day, but I suppose with it being downtown, it's expected. The television in the room was garbage. Every channel froze up every few seconds and it was impossible to watch anything at all. One day when I went to work, the remote for the television was switched out with an older one that did not work on the television in the room. I probably would stay here again, but it certainly wouldn't be my first choice.

Hotel was nice
- 1/5
This must have been the worse hotel I have ever from hilton ever! The first night i stayed no one greeting me instead said what are you here for and last name. After i checkin i went to see my room and it was decent for what i paided for. So when i went to take a shower, they gave me a room with a clogged tube. Instead of apologizing and changing rooms, they sent a technician to help it clean out. And didnt say tbey would send a maid to clean it after aft we r he was done i called down to the front desk for assistant on changing room they gave me attitude instead. In which it was uncall for. I asked again to change room because i will not take a shower in a dirty tub. After staying i went to check out. They never inform about the additional self parking pay tax! for this hotel so my bill went from 325 to 409. Which is a hundred dollars more than what i supposed to pay for. I felt like for this price this hotel shouldnt be charging people that price. Its not the best hotel and the ataff are rude specially the the blonde female who works at night. I wish i caught her name.
- 3/5
The price ($42)of the buffet did not meet the standard. Double Tree still charged for lodging even though we paid on Expedia. Had to call Double Tree to get a refund. Please let guests know that parking is $50 a day.
- 5/5
Staff was EXCELLENT!!! Cookies Flowed like water!!! YAY-YAY!!! Thank You Team!!! GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!!
- 4/5
Everything was so good except the bed. The bed cover is smell like old. And comforter is very thin.
- 5/5
Warm cookies
- 5/5
Room was clean. Staff was excellent. I enjoyed hot cookies the front desk offered.
- 5/5
GREAT FRONT DESK STAFF AND EXCELLENT BELL MEN, SECURITY AND MAINTENANCE STAFF. VERY GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS AND EXCELLENT MANNERS....HELLO, THANKS, GOODBYE...NOT THAT HARD
- 5/5
Really peaceful and calm. They made take out / delivery services very simple. Staff was super communicative
- 4/5
We first dropped our bags off due to the room not being ready, and we were able to get a key to change in bathroom . When we got back to check in we asked for the key and Sofie said the keys don’t work it would work once she checked us.. I advise my mother needed to use the restroom and she still made us wait. She gave ZERO information about parking or that the machine was down. She wasnt helpful at all.
- 3/5
The staff was so amazing

The hotel the overall is dated but still a great stay ! Would recommend

Was flooded out of LA due to the storm and tried to cancel but both I and Expedia had trouble contacting the hotel. Completely understand the policy. We called the hotel as soon as the storm hit to no avail.
- 5/5
Focus open and excellent
- 3/5
Staff was rude and always seemed in a rush to help, on top of that $47 a day for parking on top of what we are already paying to stay there is insane
- 5/5
Clean room. High end feeling at an affordable price located in a central area.
- 4/5
Friendly staff, comfortable and clean beds
- 4/5
Nothing too ser
- 5/5
The hotel is very clean, comfortable bed and the best pillows.
- 4/5
Staff was excellent, parking was pretty good. I wish there was a microwave in the room that would have made our stay a little better, had to use the coffee pot for hot water and be creative to heat ramen up. Not many food choices with walking distance that are affordable. There was also no tv guide so know what channel is what was hard for us to navigate. All in all a good experience.
- 5/5
Great customer service. Appreciate the kindness, professionalism and accommodation.
- 5/5
This was the easiest check in I have ever had! Quick, efficient, friendly!
- 4/5
Nice staff
- 4/5
Lovely, comfortable room. Great bed, thanks for the good night sleep. The coffeemaker did not work.
- 5/5
Definitely a Classy Hotel !!!
- 5/5
clean rooms, helpful staff
- 5/5
Nice place
- 3/5
The room itself was in good condition, however the restroom was very small and looked worn down.
- 1/5
the staff was Wonderfull, the booking was wrong, the booking needed to be cancelled and never got my money yet
- 5/5
there was a no breakfast
- 2/5
There was a computer shut down when we were checking in and we never got a physical key. Every time we needed to go upstairs and enter the room we needed to have a staff member go with us. Careful that there was a computer outage but so that they have an alternative key method?
- 3/5
The room was in good condition, and the staff was very courteous. The restaurant is hidden, however, and multiple signs lead to dead ends. My husband collapsed after walking around the lobby and halls four times following signs that led nowhere. They picked him up and served us restaurant food through the bar, but it was a very bad experience.
- 5/5

PARKING IS TOO MUCH . I PAKR BEHIND HOTEL PARKING GARAGE COST ME $25 A DAY PLS.
- 5/5
Overall very good
- 4/5
Well, the room was comfortable although the carpet seemed dated. This is a minor point but the room's windows were absolutely filthly... not sure how often they get a cleaning. Maybe a good rain would rinse them off.
- 2/5
Room neglected , no free breakfast and hidden parking fees
- 4/5
I stayed here to go to a Dodgers game. It was a very convenient location. Walkable distance to Union Station where I was able to take a free shuttle to the stadium. The staff at the hotel were super helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. I hope to stay here again.
- 5/5
Room was very clean, great to have a small frig in the room. My room was at the end of a hall and had two large windows, which was nice. Bed was comfy, I love a walk-in shower, and it was nice to have a restaurant and bar on site. I was in town for work, and I could walk to the office. Also had a great Japanese meal while I was so close to Little Tokyo!
- 4/5
Place was good.
- 2/5
It was not what I expected. It definitely needs some work. I think what did it for me was the fact that guests still have to pay $47 for parking per night.
- 5/5
We didn't have breakfast, but the staff during check in were friendly and helpful. The ice machine on our floor was broken so we have to go to another floor to get ice. Our rooms (we booked 3) were clean, beds were comfortable. We like that Little Tokyo is super close.
- 3/5
Bathroom was too small. Toilet paper access was inconvenient; the door was way too close to the toilet and I’m not a large person.
- 3/5
First, the front desk staff were terrific and accommodating. The location is up the street from Little Tokyo and some good restaurants. You can walk there in five minutes. They have a fitness center, but no business center. Rooms could use updating. Carpets are dirty. No complimentary breakfast/coffee. There is a 7-11 across the street. Decent but can get pricey.
- 4/5
This hotel is very safe and comfortable to stay. I had a good tome there. The people are very nice and helpful
- 5/5
Great stay

The room was clean and the staff were amazing they were super accommodating and patient

Amazing
- 3/5
When we first arrived, it was a bit busy and the guy at the front desk was having trouble getting us checked in because he said their system was outdated, however he was very polite and courteous. We needed some help with the valet and at first the two guys working the parking were a bit overwhelmed but after we talked to them for a while they seem to get friendlier. The towels in the room had some stains as well as the bed covers and we found "earwigs" (bugs) on the bed. Overall, it is a very nice hotel, and everyone is pretty friendly, and it is located close to everything within driving distance. Little Tokyo is so close and so much fun, so it is worth it.
- 2/5
No pool no complimentary breakfast the beds were not plush and the rooms were in need of replacements. Chipped doors broken cabinets paint peeling on bath tubs the sink water smelled horrible. It was not worth $250 per night. Parking fee is ridiculous as well. Super disappointed
- 1/5
Bad
- 4/5
I did like the property. It was older but clean and had some nice common areas. The immediate outside area was okay. Check in was easy, day staff was great and helpful. The room clean, beds comfortable. But we did see some wear. We did checked out very early. The desk staff was there, one dressed for work the other appears to be in pajamas. The outside valet area smell of marijuana and when the car was brought around, it smelled also... This left us in a unfavorable mood towards the early morning valet staff.
- 3/5
First off I normally stay at most Double Tree Hotels because they are very nice. This one though is VERY VERY dated. Furniture in room was broken drawers and cabinet doors would not close, paint peeling in bathroom and the door to the bathroom wouldn’t lock or close correctly. We had a beautiful view of the waterfall garden but we couldn’t really see it because the windows were absolutely filthy. The bed was very old and it felt like the springs were going to pop through the mattress. Checking in the staff was very helpful and friendly but checking out the woman at the front desk was down right rude. It was only a one night stay thank goodness but although I love DT hotels I do not recommend this one.
- 5/5
Clean and friendly staff
- 5/5
The snack bar area had plenty of snacks to choose from.
- 5/5
Everyone was very friendly especially the guys who brought you the car. So nice and engaging.
- 5/5
i enjoyed our stay here at the hotel, it was comfy and very convenient to Japan town. Walking distance to all the restaurants. Rooms were clean and bed was soft, we enjoyed our stay. Front desk was very courteous and checking in was seem less. Love the complementary cookies. I would stay here next time I am DTLA near Japantown.
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly and checking in and out was very quick
- 5/5
Love staying at this hotel! Convenient location, clean room/bathroom, and the staff is so sweet!
- 5/5
Good customer service
- 4/5
Very good, but forgot my honors status. No upgrade
- 5/5
Staff went above and beyond to exceed expectations. Could use some more restaurant staff though!
- 2/5
I stayed here for 2 days and the rooms advertised were not the same. it was a lot older and the room was falling apart. the wallpaper was coming off or bubbling. there was mold above the window and in the shower, and we had no warm water. overall it was not worth the price at all and was very disappointing that a Motel 6 would have had a nicer room
- 5/5
Helpful front desk, I recommend signing up for the members program before hand to take advantage of free early 2hr check, signing up is free
- 3/5
Carpets are filthy and some areas also
- 5/5
great breakfast
- 1/5
I bought a sandwich from the store near reservation desk and it was old and stale. Had to throw away Paid 29 dollars. Ridiculous!
- 3/5
Stay was okay. not terrible but not great either
- 4/5
I was surprised that my room had a missing light over in the bathroom. For $300 I would not except that.
- 4/5
This hotel is very centrally located and close to Little Tokyo. However, it is an older hotel and starting to show its age in the rooms. Our room was very clean, just older. There are the typical downtown LA issues around the hotel such as a few homeless people and loud traffic at night. Nothing unexpected and the hotel was very safe.
- 4/5
The hotel is in the outskirts of Little Tokyo, so it is in a very walkable area with ample and reliable public transportation, which we took to our concert venue instead of rideshare. The hotel itself is beautiful, and the restaurant and bar were convenient. We purchased the breakfast buffet option, for $22 a person, but the spread was just like what other Hilton locations offer for free. Though at that price, I am sure it was still less expensive than other offerings from their menu. Every staff member we encountered was delightful and friendly.
- 5/5
Close to little tokyo
- 5/5
Overall great stay. Always stay with double tree whenever in the area.

Hotel was really clean and had friendly staff.

They were very kind and accommodating, the facilities were great and the location was excellent
- 4/5
Bathroom needs an update. Staff amazing!!!
- 3/5
The layout and the size of the room was wonderful. However, the couch had visible stains, the bedroom ceiling had 2 hanging down water spots, the carpet was frayed at the entrance to kitchen area and bathroom and the kitchen had zero supplies. I asked for napkins and coffee cups and was told I could get those from the restaurant instead of them being brought to us.
- 5/5
Staff was able to upgrade me last minute, and everything near the hotel was walkable
- 2/5
The bathroom tub was dirty cracked and didn't drain correctly. one of the bed's mattress was not in a good shape. We didn't enjoy our stay at all
- 5/5
$50 parking fee. Nice spot in little Tokyo
- 5/5
Good service
- 4/5
The hotel itself is very nice and appears secure.
- 1/5
Found roach in our room, lights flickering even when off. Staff rude.
- 5/5
Vert ideal location and super clean
- 5/5
The hotel staff from valet to receptionist were very helpful and friendly. We love the inside of the hotel, lobby and the room was very clean. The location was very close to many restaurants and stores. However the outside areas is unattractive because of the smell of urine and tagging. We actually enjoyed the garden. We were taking pictures and admiring the trees and mini waterfall. It’s a nice place to hangout. We plan to use this hotel again for other LA trips in the future.
- 3/5
Bed was comfortable, a lot of street noice, the bathroom was small and crowded, wall in bathroom peeling and shower clogged slow water going down. TV in room was big and room had refrigerator was nice to have.

I was not happy the room that I stayed in it had a smell and showers knobs literally burned my body. We love staying in your hotel please make some changes in that room. Thank you .
- 1/5
Needless to say I was not happy. I went down stairs to the front desk where I had to ask for a new room. If this wasn’t bad enough, we woke up at 11:30 that night by a couple trying to get into our room. They had given our room to another people. When I complained the next morning all I got was “that’s too bad”.

Great experience going back every time
- 4/5
Property was nice, rooms were comfortable. Outside at night was dangerous with homeless walking everywhere. One of the elevators didn’t work, it specifically didn’t want to accept the floor I was pushing.
- 5/5
Comfortable and clean!
- 5/5
Great customer service, beautiful & comfy rooms!!!
- 5/5
A very nice and comfortable hotel, with a location that allows you to go out for a walk and enjoy the Little Tokyo area. The garden is very peaceful for going out for a walk.
- 5/5
Our stay was great. No complaints!
- 5/5
Great cookies and front desk staff!
- 5/5
The property itself and the roof garden
- 5/5
My friends and I had a comfortable stay for 3 nights. The rooms were spacious and we had no issues.
- 3/5
The stay was ok but some things were off that’s why I just got a good stay. But was close to everything and staff seemed helpful
- 5/5
I like the accessibility of the underground parking. It was very convient for a hotel in Downtown LA. The staff were always accommodating and helpful. Also, always love being greeted with a warm walnut chocolate chip cookie!
- 2/5
Bathroom looks very dated. Long wait for elevator. Lobby is very messy. Windows of the room is covered with thick layer of dirt. For the type of hotel facility and quality of room, the room price being charged is way over priced.
- 4/5
Excellent job
- 1/5
Not recommended.
- 3/5
Front desk didn’t explain the parking and the charges so upon checking out I was caught by surprise
- 5/5
A beautiful property. Very friendly staff. Room was clean and comfy with nice view.
- 1/5
The property is ok but the area is not for the price is not worth it to stay to many drug addicts around there and dirty and looks unsafe and plus its just not worth it. To expensive for the area
- 5/5
It was clean staff was helpful and it was conveniently located
- 4/5
Very nice hotel in decent area
- 4/5
Shower only pumped out very hot water. Nice staff, easy and quick walk to near buy metro stations and bus stops
- 4/5
Not very safe to walk from union station
- 5/5
The staff was great. Room was always cleaned.
- 4/5
The only thing I question about safety at this hotel is why there are No Locks on the windows. I could hear outside noises really well so I went to check to make sure my window was closed. On our last stay, I noticed that there were no locks on the windows of the 18th floor and it seems very unsafe for everyone especially children.
- 3/5
When I called to the front desk. They initially sent a technician who wasn't not able to fix it. Afterwords we requested a new room but was denied due to hotel being sold out. Hotel was only able to give a completely parking for one night.
- 3/5
Everything is close
- 4/5
The hotel was lovely as were the staff. The area was a little dirty but overall great experience
- 3/5
A rather underwhelming experience at this double tree. The first room they gave us had a rattling A/C that sounded like a helicopter. The replacement room's A/C was weak, and the room remained warm throughout our stay. The bed was creaky and uncomfortable. The bathroom door would not close (swollen wood), the shower and toilet both leaked. Front desk staff were friendly but very slow. Paid $55 for valet parking.
- 5/5
Amazing
- 1/5
Do not waste your money here Thanks
- 5/5
it was clean and welcoming
- 5/5
Most everything was very good. Nice hotel but it’s near DTLA, so expect DTLA noise. At check in, I would suggest that the front desk explain to guests how to get to their rooms, including what button (floor) you need to press to get to your room. Just by coincidence, another guest happened to know and showed us. Maybe we would have figured it out eventually but knowing quickly saves time. Hotel and rooms were in good condition though you could hear pipes and squeaks from other rooms. Bathroom needed some minor cosmetic repairs that should be done and the tub felt oddl when you stood in it. Not super important or problem. Just noticed.
- 5/5
I have been here several times and always find the staff to be pleasant, helpful, clean rooms, no complaints.
- 2/5
I was supposed to have Garden view room. They did not give me that Expedia I paid extra through Expedia for garden view. Room and I did not get that they gave me a view different view standard room.
- 4/5
Clean room time is a bit too early in the morning
- 4/5
Wish the Hilton DoubleTree would have given me credit for the stay on my Hilton Honors, but they said I could not get the points because I booked through a 3rd Party! That is total BS!
- 3/5
Whenever you washed your hands or flushed the toilet u got an whoosh of sewer smell.
- 5/5
Very nice staff and understanding.
- 5/5
Good customer service and clean room

- 5/5
I love this property. I always go here when im in LA and highly recommend it to anyone
- 4/5
Beds were comfortable and the room was clean. I would suggest having body wash clothes to the sink versus a hand soap. The person that checked me in was very professional and courteous. I think her name was Jennifer. Ramono was also very helpful when it came to the Wi-Fi use & password. The only thing that they did not plan very well when they built the hotel were the windows. You could hear the cars from the fifth floor at nightime. Overall my stay was pleasant.
- 5/5
Staff is friendly and kind. The restaurant staff is fabulous and super accommodating.
- 4/5

- 5/5
It was good, the beds need to be better. The service not soo good.
- 2/5
Not safe and old hotel
- 5/5
Close to many venues. I recommend upgrading to the breakfast. Worth it. Great coffee too. And some basic brand name Toiletries included
- 2/5
Staff were very welcoming and great however the hotel was outdated and not very clean.
- 5/5
3rd stay. Appreciated the staff for holding my bags prior to checking-in while I explored L.A. as my train from Chicago had arrived well before 4pm. The Garden was nice and the walk to/from Union Station (10-15 mins) was close enough for me.
- 5/5
The staff were amazing, the free cookies were delicious! I’ve stayed here several times now and it is always very clean and I have an enjoyable stay.
- 5/5
Clean and safe
- 4/5
The bar in the lobby was not open in the afternoon even though there were lots of people waiting around.
- 5/5
The food was great a little pricey. The bed was very comfortable.
- 5/5
The hotel is great, located in downtown Los Angeles. There were indigents around. We avoided going out at night. Parking is always difficult.
- 4/5
Lots of dining options nearby. Bed was comfortable and the garden is lovely. Lots of street noise on a Friday night. The bottle of conditioner was empty in the shower. Very nice lobby. Staff was polite and check-in was easy.
- 5/5
Transport access to Dodger stadium / bed comport/ everything Obove
- 5/5
Excellent place,
- 4/5
Front desk staff member who checked me in was very pleasant and very helpful. The server in the restaurant was very friendly attentive.
- 4/5
The hotel is beautiful. However, I think some things were overpriced and the view from our room is not what I imagined when I selected "a garden view" but the staff were wonderful.
- 5/5
I truly enjoyed staying here and I will stay here again in the future for sure! Thank you for everything that you all do!
- 4/5
Right in the heart of little tokyo
- 2/5
Property is old and no breakfast room service
- 5/5
Great stay, staff was inviting and very helpful, and service was amazing.
- 4/5
It was nice
- 3/5
Hotel was pleasant enough but oh my word, the area is well dodgy! Not safe to walk around day or night without encountering dubious characters. We stayed because of the proximity to Union Station but Little Tokyo is not somewhere you would choose to be. Restrooms in reception area were not accessible without a key which I guess is to do with the area it’s in. Room was fine, bed was comfortable but noisy with sirens day and night. Windows must be very thin. Convenient 7-11 store just opposite. Did not eat at the hotel.
- 4/5
no free breakfast and no bottled water inside rooms
- 5/5
Great customer service
- 5/5
Clean, updated property. Spacious room, well appointed. Friendly, helpful staff.
- 5/5
I have stayed here 3 other times and the service here is always excellent. I have never had a bad experience.
- 3/5
The hotel was clean. Check-in was quick and easy. The staff was friendly. I stayed here because it was walking distance to a concert I was attending.

Little Tokyo is near the hotel, easy to enjoy Japanese cuisine. Hotel is a bit old but still neat and tidy. Staff are nice and helpful.
