Part of a quick trip went to Dodger Game then stayed at hotel and left early next morning hotel and rooms clean restaurant was nice hotel workers very nice would definitely stay here again

The rooms appeared clean, but we found nail clippings on one of our bed sheets underneath the blanket both of our room smell bad like pee it was not from the bedding or the carpet more so from the bathroom or sink area like maybe they have a bad drain or some kind of other issue. The outside appearance and lobby area was nice and clean. The staff were constantly busy doing stuff. The beds themselves were super uncomfortable very very hard like a brick They did give a good amount of pillows per bed in the TV seem to work good there’s a mini fridge and a microwave that we’re both clean

When I check in early, it charged 45$ dollars so you have to come after 3pm

The Parking omg I have a 2008 Chevy Silverado yea that parking garage is NOT meant for Trucks or bigger SUVs , rooms are outdated in the facked that the light bolt are out , door knob s are loose , that hotel is used for parting for younger people not to rest

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The only thing that caught me off guard & this was not on the description & itemized charges before I reserved this particular hotel is that they charge $25 for parking because of a sports event so I had to pay this fee regarless. This was the little stain on your otherwise great hotel.

It is a small, quiet and clean hotel. I have stayed twice and it was a good experience both times. It id near a lot of things since it is on Sunset. Will book again.

The front desk associate was friendly and efficient. The property was clean. The only complaint I have was that our toilet didn’t flush. We didn’t have time to burn putting in a maintenance request so we just had to use the facilities elsewhere.

The only con to our stay was the fact that front desk could not move us to another room with a view, instead we got a view of the wall for our duration. Overrall our stay was comfortable. 😊

And it was dirty and smelled old.

Nice place close to lots of coffee shops, food, and shopping around Silver Lake to explore. Hotel does the job. Room gets a little warm without AC. Room cards kept losing access to room but easy to replace with staff. Otherwise, a great stay!

My stay was good. The room was fresh and clean. Staff were very helpful. Such easy and safe parking. Couldn't hear any noise from the other rooms. I will stay there again.

Parking was noted as $12 but hotel charged $25 because they said there was Dodgers game on this day. I checked in late (after 11p) & told them game was done, but front desk person still charged $25...not accommodating at all! Stayed in hotel less than 12 hours as I checked out at 9am. Room smelled musty, AC blew air that smelled like urine. Kept AC off for the night as it was horrible. Will not stay here again! It would be good to get $13 refund for overcharging parking OR a refund for the entire room!

Bed didn't have sheets that fit and bed was uncomfortable. Breakfast was good but needed more cereal selections. Vending machines didn't work. Wasn't told parking was $25 until we go to check in. Websites say parking is $12. Clerk advised me Manager changes it without notice.

It took an hour and a half to check in because the front desk guy acted like he'd never seen a business credit card before. The elevator inspection date is over a month outdated. There is music coming from the speakers in the hallways at 7 am.

To be honest I was only there for two days not much to talk about besides how cool Heidy is 10/10 costumer service

It’s not designed for a vacation, it’s not designed for relaxing, it is designed for accommodation. I chose it for that reason so for me, it was utterly acceptable and fine. I do want to add that their front desk employees are exemplary. I didn’t have much interaction with them, but when I did, I could tell that they cared about their job and that they cared about my experience while I was their guest.

I like the breakfast. I love when they offer the waffles. My room key failed 3 times in a 1 night stay and that's annoying. The whole second floor smelled like Marijuana even though its supposed to be a no smoke building. The last straw was the window view outside was blocked buy a few HVAC systems.

The breakfast was decent with eggs and sausage each day as well as muffins, bagels, yogurt, apples, waffles of course, and oatmeal. Room and place was really clean and the staff were awesome. The only complaint was that our rooms water pressure was a little light, and a bit noisy with street traffic going by. All in all a good deal for the price. Just know you have to pay for parking, but it is underground gated parking beneath the hotel so very safe.

I should have left right then and there, i stayed one night and slept with my clothes on and bags pack with my kid in my arms. The room had a window onto the rood which didn’t fully lock. Hookers were knocking at the door, 2 times they came, some guy in the hallway tried to lure me in to his room. I didnt even care that the dresser was missing the drawer….. got the f out at 6am. Everything totally unsafe

Specifically, the gentleman at the front desk was wonderful, helpful, welcoming. Plus, there are so many things to do walking distance, so many choices.

Hotel was clean and met basic needs for one night stay. Biggest area for improvement would be better sound dampening and better blackout curtains for rooms facing Sunset Blvd

It was very handy to where we needed to be. The room was clean and the facility was safe. It was very reasonably priced. The staff was very friendly, There was some noisy construction. Air temperature was a bit hard to control.

There was a bothersome me noise from the floors of the room above, like a squeaky noise, I think the floors need maintenance or the bed of that room... not sure! Also the pillows are small, I liked the big pillows i used last me and healthier options in the vendor machine would be nice too. Protein bars, water crackers, no salty pretzels I always stay in this hotel but it really need more maintained overall. Just friendly suggestions, we really like this place, the staff is great!!!! thank you so much

The night manager was just delightful, welcoming and accommodating. There was a restruant next to us and others within walking distance. I am not crazy about LA but felt plenty safe to walk. The breakfast in the morning was buffet and had scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, bagels, juices, fresh fruit and more...in LA thats a major savings right there! Everything was clean. This did not diminish our stay one bit but there was a poorly patched ceiling near the curtains that needs to be looked at....thats it!

I stayed in room 221 my bathroom was infested with ants. I stayed for 1 night and was ever disappointed that I was only there a couple of hours before I left and came back and the shower was crawling with ants. When I called to the front they only come to spay and said to crack open the window because of the smell. I was so tired that I did not make a big fuss. The next day at check out when I report it again they said I was eating and I attracted the ants. I would not stay again.

Then we got to our room and walked in on people that were already staying in that room. Probably one of the most awkward experiences I’ve ever had. Went back to the front desk and told the worker what happened. He just kinda laughed and apologized. I think he should’ve at least offered us some kind of accommodation.

Antonio was very friendly and responsive. Great location and breakfast was decent. However, the parking rules around events is really annoying. I got in at 1 AM during "an event" and they charge $35 for parking. I decided to park in the street to avoid the overcharge. There should be some exception for guest or cutoff as it was very late and any event was done at that point.

You get what you pay for! The room was okay, but the bed was stiff and the pillows were like throw pillows, rather than normal pillows. The location was good for what we wanted to do in that area. There was a great Indian/Italian fusion restaurant next to the motel. The security parking under the motel cost $12/night, but $24/night if there is a special occasion nearby. Next time, we would rather eat breakfast at a restaurant, rather than partake of the motel breakfast--you can eat it, but it's not great.

$12 hour parking fee which is good because the area was a bit sketchy but the rooms were nice I went with my son and husband and had a great time, the food was actually very decent and had a good variety.

Unique is hiring a receptionist who is so unfriendly and unwelcoming in behavior. She should go for a training on how to smile and be welcoming. Just seeing her face makes me want to find another place. The rest of the staff though are very friendly and hardworking. Heads up, the parking eate is not $12 per night all the time. I was charged $35 as I was told that the rate is dependent on any event that is happening around the area.

The front desk and the lady taking care of the breakfast area were very helpful, spoke good English and we're extremely friendly. The underground parking is secure but the hotel entrance to the parking lot is not secure. The area around the hotel is sketchy is why I wouldn't stay here again.

We liked this place because it was really closed to Universal Studios, the reception and our rooms were clean, the AC was working good, there was hot water, and the breakfast was good too. It was not fancy but was perfect for the purpose.

The gentleman behind the counter when we arrived at 1 pm was very helpful as was the groundsman and the lady who prepared the breakfast. This was one of the best service we have received.

We stayed for a few night while in LA. The location is nice between Silver Lake and Echo park. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet. Front desk staff was super friendy each day. Also the gated parking for 12$ a day was incredible and felt safe! I'd stay again for sure.

Parking was secure and safe. I guess for this price this is the best one could get and should not complain too much.

The first check in receptionist was mean. The room was not cleaned nor towels changed three days even though they promised to do so. They surprised us with a $60 parking charge then the gate to the garage was broken and not accessible. We travel to this area regularly. We will never stay here again. This hotel needs a major management change.

Room was ok. It was way darker than in the pictures but room was clean and ok. We did like the breakfast though. we had decent options and food was wrapped separately. one shocker was the cost of water bottle, a $4.10 for a 16/20 oz bottle. not sure if this is common in LA, but I was super shocked at the price.

Just stayed one night to go to a Dodgers game. Totally fine for a night. Glad for the elevator.

The night ship personnel was unpleasant, were booked for 3 nights and we have to have pur key reactivate everyday to get in our paid parking and room. We understand for safety issue but at least have a pleasant pwrson at the front desk if we have to do it every day.

We liked the central location for visiting Universal Studios, Chavez Raven, and the Los Angeles Zoo. The room was clean, breakfast included, and the staff was very helpful. There's an underground, gated parking garage where your car will be safe. Although, the parking garage daily fee is additional and not advertised up front (At least not on the 3rd party booking App I used).

I stayed here last year it’s a good hotel I had no problems.

We liked our stay. The room was clean but small. The two queen beds were nice but hard. Room was clean along with the bathroom. Breakfast was good with a lit of options and hot food was scrambled eggs and sausage. I think the eggs were powdered though. The only problem at breakfast was the lack of seating. There are only three tables to sit the whole hotel. This is ridiculous. Very close to universal studio's rheme park which is why we got it. We would stay at again for sure.

Shower and bathroom had black mold and strange smell. Property was in a busy area, and the key cards often deactivated. Beds were average. It’s an old building and has obvious deterioration. Paper thin walls, can hear everyone’s conversations in the rooms surrounding. House keepers like to slam stuff around super early in the mornings, so everyone who checks out by noon, is wide awake by 7am and cleared out for the housekeepers since they bonk into the doors and your walls til you’re up and can’t go back asleep. We get it. Get out. LOL

The area is dirty and the hotel is noisy. You can hear loud TV's, doors slamming, and loud voices. They say no smoking of any kind but a non smoker can smell it

Very comfortable Rm. 222, clean and comfortable. Regular size room with two queen beds. Has a fridge but no freezer, has microwave. Area was very busy Saturday night and loud cars passing by street. Parking was very difficult to find when checking in, but paid $12 to park in the hotel’s parking garage and that was much better. Breakfast is eggs with cheese, round sausage, waffle maker, cereals, oatmeal, bagel, muffins, orange and apple juice, coffee, tea. Overall, we would stay again but the original parking experience was very stressful.

The room was huge, had a fridge, microwave, and ironing board. The bed was comfy. The lobby and free breakfast was great but the halls and rooms desperately need a remodel. The hotel is safe and has taken precautions (gated underground parking, secure front desk) but you should only go there if you have to. It's located in a sketchy area. There is no pleasant view (graffiti, homelessness, people just drink on the street, bars on windows of businesses and many closed/boarded up).

Area around the hotel is pretty ghetto, they do offer a locked car garage to park in(at a fee) which does give some peace of mind. I wasn’t aware that when I booked through Expedia that I’d also still have to pay an additional deposit upon checking in though, which could be pretty inconvenient for people that don’t have the access to additional funds on hand. “All tax and fees included” that wasn’t the case. All in all, not a bad hotel to stay at but I’m sure there’s a better stay for the same price.

Good choice. Clean property with completely enclosed garage. The hotel is right on Sunset so transportation is convenient and good dining options available but also Sunset people hanging around. Fortunately the hotel is secure and completely safe. I recommend.

The rooms are very small in size, I had a 2 queen bed room, and the beds were only accessible from the one side and the other side had either the aircon or the wall. The beds were uncomfortable and hard. The only good thing about the hotel was it was centrally located and close to all LA attractions such as universal studio and hall of fame etc. With prices close to $250 per night USD it was not worth it.

The front desk let someone into my room even though the reservation said only one traveler on it and my bag and other belongings were taken . Told the front desk staff and they did not seem to care and wouldn’t do anything to help

Check in was fast, but the parking lot was packed and tricky to park in. We did appreciate that checkout was at noon. The room was comfortable and had a smaller fridge for the kids. We will definitely come back.

Beds were clean and room was pretty clean however the bathroom wasn’t the cleanest, had crumbs and junk on the floor. We asked the front desk where’s a good place to get food, any place for food. He doesn’t know a lick about the surrounding area, I thought one of the job requirements for working at the front desk would be to have knowledge of the area and places to go/eat.

This is a great bargain if you're looking for a place in Silver Lake. It's also in the same complex as the BEST Indian restaurant -- Pijja Palace. Love love love!

Convienient to Silverlake area. Hotel is a bit tired and a little too pricey but accomplished what we needed.

We didn’t like that there was a whole party in the middle of the hallway at 1:30am. The party kept going . I called front desk and let them know. When I requested a late check out they only gave us 15min , I asked for housekeeping not to knock since we had been awake all night , housekeeping still came knocked woke us up 40 min before then front desk came and knocked and I remind him & he goes you’re right I’m so sorry . Sorry was too late….

Staff good, room fine, breakfast very convenient. Location not ideal — downtown hotels closer to train and more direct automobile route to USC, which was my reason for being here, and if you’re not able to be there you’re probably better off just going a bit further out in any direction and absorbing the additional time and cost so that the location and facilities are a bit more vibrant and populated.
