Reviews
The hotel is generally praised for its modern and updated property, convenient location in Beverly Hills, friendly and helpful staff, and spacious rooms with beautiful views. However, some guests have complained about the outdated carpeting in the halls, the lack of a coffee maker and mini fridge in the rooms, and the high resort fee and deposit charges.

This hotel was amazing. The location of the hotel was superb and served as a perfect starting point for all of the commuting my family had to do while in LA. We stayed in the Hollywood Suite, and my family loved our time spent there. It was spacious, meticulously clean, and the room decor was perfection. Our stay was top tier from arrival to departure, and the staff was so welcoming and helpful. The room service was also absolutely wonderful, and the food met the impeccable standards set by the hotel overall. I will absolutely book here the next time I am in Beverly Hills, and I will recommend this hotel to anyone I know that has plans to travel to LA.

House keeping doesnt clean the rooms properly. Both sinks in our room were clogged . The shower drain in the shower isnt large enough causing anyone using the shower to stand in 6 inches of water while showering ( disgusting ).

The front desk manager Jerin was incredible helpful. He checked me in. He realized it was my birthday and treated me like VIP instantaneously. I cannot Thank you enough. The following morning with my checkout Jared was working the front desk. Not only did do a quick helpful job. He also prepared me with coffee in a to go cup and water for the road. Thank you so much at this establishment for making my 40th birthday so special. Thank you Dominic and thank you Adane from the in room dining as well.

Everything was great but the surprise $77 parking fee, and $200 a night for a dog fee was not cool. They should be more transparent about it when searching for hotels.
- 5/5
We didn't like the choices of vegetarian items in breakfast was very less.

The service was phenomenal from check in to checkout and everywhere in between. There is no other option to where I’m staying when I’m in town.

And no hand-held shower head in one of the room we stayed was inconvenient.

Rooms are spacious, great design, nice pool, location is convenient. Beautiful hotel but staff is completely undertrained. Receptionist could not find my reservation at arrival, almost charged me again for the room at check in. As we had to move rooms in the middle of the stay they transferred only half of our bags. They seem to be making money of the valet parking which is 77 per night and have 4-5 people dedicated to that but they are short on staff at the bar. We ordered coffee from the bar one morning and someone decided to vacuum clean right around us at exactly that time (9am). Lastly they told us upon arrival that the pool was closed for renovation half of our stay but never mentioned it when I called the hotel in advance with questions about pool and parking.

Most disappointingly, when I called hotel to inquire about these fees after my visit, the staff was aggressive and unprofessional. This lack of service recovery has discouraged me from staying here again. Professionalism and clearer communication are definitely needed.

The hotel is newly renovated. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the location is fantastic for Taurus to access all the major landmarks. Shout out to Dessy, Rain and Quintel.

Amazing property absolutely beautiful decor. Great staff. Amazing jazz music in the lobby! Pool was not open and that was a big disappointment
- 4/5
I liked the general location and the views from the balcony. I wasn't aware the pool wasn't available when I booked. The floor that I stayed on had a terrible odor that would linger into the room each time the door was opened.

Camere spaziose e nuove. Letto molto comodo.

Walls are paper thin (and that might be stating it nicely). Pool is not completed… lots of construction taking place. Room service not up to par. It could be a great property, but I wouldn’t stay there again anytime soon.

每位員工服務態度都非常好,房間很新、很大,清潔的非常乾淨,是不錯的選擇

Love , love this hotel the location is unsurpassed. The staff is beyond helpful and friendly and they’ve been working there for years. I’ve been staying here for many years and now with this new remodel and flag I don’t stay anywhere else. Easy walk to South Beverly Drive with all the coffee and breakfast places, shops and then from there, it’s another short walk to the golden triangle of Beverly Hills

Room was great. Breakfast was good, however I did not see Pancakes on the menu. It would be nice if Pancakes or Waffles were offered. N/A

its a very beautiful hotel with an upscale feel the bed was kind of hot. im a hot sleeper in general, but it felt warm

Room service will very nice. Room price was outrageous high for a unknown property staff friendly like a Hampton Inn
- 5/5
We really enjoyed our stay, from the wonderful staff to the actual room everything was perfect and I would definitely stay there again
- 5/5
Great staff , very welcoming I was not warned of the morning protests which negatively impacted my morning meeting. I was suppose to be in a quiet room (which I believed my hotel room would fit that description) however it did not turn out that way. Protesting is somewhat out of the hotel’s control but I warning upon check in would be nice for those traveling for work
- 5/5
This property is first class! Excellent service, amenities and rooms

It was very dirty. Needs to be renovated. Curtains were FILTHY. Tub was peeling was not about take a bath. Had to take a shower with shower shoes. Carpet on balcony was disgusting and it was lifting bad which to me was a hazard. Anniversary trip ruined
- 4/5
Staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. Well done.

The hotel is under construction. The room I reserved with the handicap bathroom was not provided because it had no hot water. So they put us in one that had water, but it was not handicap accessible. After complaining to staff, they offered the right room, but when we tried to move there, it was discovered they had no water at all. We were then offered a room with water but no bed for my aide. A rollaway was offered. I felt sorry for the staff who had to deal with this disaster. They tried hard to please us but they seemed surprised too. One good report about the hotel goes to the waiter at the 12th floor restaurant. It was white glove service all the way befitting of the spectacular view. This does in some small way compensate for the $126 bill which we paid to split a filet between us - absolutely perfect and delicious This was, in my opinion, the fault of Expedia who booked this room well in advance and should have been notified of the ongoing renovations but did not follow up with a change for us. I am now having to deal with them to get my refund. Stay away from here until the reno is done. I'm sure it will be lovely.

Gold location. Felt overpriced for whatnit was with lobby closed, and pool fairly short hours. Room available late.
- 4/5
Beautiful hotel with amazing amenities. Parking, food and drinks were unbelievably expensive but it’s Beverly Hills. Fantastic bartender in the pool area!! My only real complaint was being awakened at 7am by picketers with drums and megaphones right under my balcony in the hotel driveway.
- 5/5
Hotel was nice and ciews were amazing.
- 5/5
I highly recommend this hotel! It is located in a quiet part of town to escape the high energy of LA, but it is close enough to conveniently get to West Hollywood, Rodeo Drive, Santa Monica, etc! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Valet is quick and easy.
- 5/5
I will forever dream of the shower (great pressure) and the bed - so comfortable - staff was helpful and friendly, location is amazing. No coffee makers in the rooms but there is coffee downstairs - loved this place

From the moment you get out of your car with the Valet to the sign in at the front desk, the feeling is Welcome! Escorted to your room the halls are quiet and clean. The surprise of the design of the room and the luxury of the room is impressive. Thank you for another wonderful experience in your hotel Warm regards Kenneth Bordewick

The Cameo is great for visitors new to the Los Angeles area. Its location and reasonable cost was perfect for our long weekend visit. The staff were attentive, friendly, and welcoming. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
- 4/5
We had a nice stay - stayed in 2 different rooms. Our first room had some problems related to cleanliness and some of the appliances not working properly. Our second room did not have these problems, but our view was obstructed because they were painting during our stay and so there was a plastic sheet covering the view from the balcony. Would stay there again despite these one time issues. Thank you!

I recently stayed here on a business trip for seven days and am absolutely thrilled with my experience at Cameo. I ordered room service most days because of my work schedule and the food was terrific. The staff was incredibly friendly, thoughtful, polite, and attentive. I chose to stay here because it was much more economical for such a long stay and only a short Uber drive to Century City, where I was working for the week. I would definitely choose to stay here again. The views of Beverly Hills were fantastic. I enjoyed the complimentary coffee on my deck and got to enjoy the view and the quiet every morning. The room was beautiful and I loved the aesthetic. The bed was comfortable as were the pillows. The restroom area was clean and roomy. I especially loved the vanity set which I did use to do my makeup and hair every morning. The only slight criticism I might have is that the pool was not heated and on the days that I was there, it was not as hot so having a heated pool would’ve been terrific so on my one day off from work, I would’ve been able to enjoy that amenity. However, that wouldn’t stop me from staying again. I look forward to my next trip out there.

Excellent property!

Very nice and clean
- 4/5
Location was very close to the places we wanted to visit. The food in the restaurant was excellent. Staff was wonderful. My room was a nice size and bed was comfortable. I did not like that there wasn’t someplace I could hang my robe or clothes in the bathroom. The lighting in the room could definitely be improved. The hallways to your room need to be updated. When I stepped off the elevator, I was greeted with a very stinky smell like dog pee. The carpet in the hall was dirty and and torn and also smelled like dog pee. When you walked into your room you felt like it was a completely different hotel because it was clean and airy. If you don’t care about the condition of the hallways, then you should be able to have a lovely stay.
- 5/5
I even got a late check out complementary since my flight got in so late the day of check-in. I highly recommend this place to anybody coming to LA or Beverly Hills!
- 4/5
We stayed on the seventh floor (707 and then 708) Twice we were locked out of the room 707 / electronic key was not working and needed replacement Room 707 had some problems. The base board next to the bed was dusty / needed a proper cleaning. The shower water had a bad smell One of the pumps in the shower was broken (body wash) The latch to the bathroom door was not properly secured and kept coming off. We moved to Room 708 across the hall on Monday, which was a much better room. However, they were doing construction or painting outside so our view was totally obstructed by plastic for the remainder of our stay.
- 1/5
Room was dirty and hygienically unsafe. We had to be moved to a room we didn’t select and ended up with a king size bed when we booked a double queen room. Had to get a small bed brought up to room. Not a good experience, and even though I called Expedia they wouldn’t compensate us and the hotel wouldn’t either. After we use our next few reservations, we will be cancelling our account and will not use Expedia in the future. This message probably won’t even be read.
- 5/5
Excellent hotel with great service and convenient location
- 1/5
Expensive parking and they were under construction so ur balcony and view is covered with plastic
- 5/5
The view is breathtaking the service is unmatched. Treat yourself and book it.
- 2/5
There was a big flying around in the room. The entire floor smelled like urine for some reason. Staff was friendly but the facility wasn’t up to standard. Coming from five star hotel definitely should be better. Also getting into the room they took a while for us to get our room. I won’t be staying here again and if I were you guys spend your money elsewhere.
- 5/5
This was an excellent stay. Very peaceful and quiet.
- 3/5
No where on this property listing does it mention they charge a security deposit if $150 a night. I was not prepared to pay that upon arrival. I also had to request the furniture that went on the balcony. Another time i needed toilet paper and they didn’t have any at the front desk so the lady said she would bring it. I fell asleep waiting and she didn’t knock or leave it outside the door because of the do not disturb sign. I had to go back down at 4am to get it. The staff overall seemed incompetent except for I believe his name was Jacob.
- 5/5
Friendly staff. Clean room. Nice pool area.
- 4/5
Lovely property pool was less than I hoped but otherwise it was great.
- 5/5
This is in berverlywood quowt safe upscale area in Beverly hills
- 5/5
I always stay here when I’m in Beverly Hills. The team is wonderful and you can walk to a lot of neighborhoods easily!
- 4/5
Hotel was clean and has nice pool and bar areas. Lacked some basic amenities like coffee maker in room and ice machines. Having to call room service for ice is just an unnecessary step for a basic hotel necessity. Location is good, price was right and overall a nice stay.
- 5/5
Plesant staff and stay.
- 5/5
All was good however I recommend having a small fridge in the room with water and maybe a small soda without having to be requested the coffee machine optional.
- 2/5
Also the room has no microwave and no the refrigerator 😡
- 3/5
I would give it 2.5. The view is outstanding. The service is great. The room is mediocre at best. There are zero amenities and they do not tell you that there is a $400 incidental charge when you check in and they keep $12-$16 per night after what they charged your card for some reason or another. The valet is great. It’s a little pricey at $77 a night but it is 24 seven so that really convenient. The room does not have a coffee pot. It does not have a microwave. It does not have a refrigerator our room had a beautiful balcony, but no chairs so you couldn’t sit outside. There’s no coffee in the morning so that’s not convenient and everything on the menu is just ridiculously expensive.
- 1/5
If you are staying her because of the pool, be sure warned. The pool looks nothing like the photos. It’s run down, and surrounded by odd white walls. I won’t be back. Maybe when it’s a Hilton. They might take better care of the property.
- 3/5
The area is good. The staff good. The actual hotel room…less than expected. Had to call for housekeeping as soon as we entered…balcony floor and chairs were obviously filled with debris from last guest. The hotel towels were hard and thin…far less than expected at a property of this stature. The view of Beverly Hills was great!
- 3/5
The hotel alone is not really nice looking
- 5/5
great experience
- 5/5
Friendly staff and great drinks at the bar. Enjoyed relaxing by the pool and the outdoor Lobby Lounge.
- 2.5/5
I have stayed many times in this hotel, and now it's all about the location and the water pressure in the shower. They still have water in the gym, and the towels are fresh. The rooms are still charmingly outdated, my white socks got black after walking around the room without slippers, I found some smoking sticks from a previous guest under my bed, and the breakfast was overpriced while the omelette was overcooked. There used to be a nice chill out terrace at the entrance but this year it is surrounded by plaster walls, which kills both the appearance and the atmosphere. After I checked out, I realized that my laptop charger was left in the room, and I came back in two days. However, my charger had disappeared, and no one could find it.
- 5/5
Loved it.. definitely will be coming back!
- 5/5
- 5/5
From the time you arrive the service and hospitality is over the top. They make sure you are welcomed and they make your stay like you have white glove service until you leave. My perfect hotel and the front desk is always making sure you need for nothing.
- 2/5
This property was under construction and there was an active protest every morning. This was not disclosed at or before my stay. It was HORRIFIC
- 2/5
This hotel is at tops, a 3.5. Not close to a 5. The entrance is so unimpressive. Feels like you're entering through the employees entrance. 1 of 2 elevators not working. Dirt in corners of the room. Cheaply furnished and built. Not a 5 star!
- 5/5
I loved my time at Cameo Beverly Hills. Excellent hotel. Amazing balcony views. Excellent staff. Will be back 100%.
- 1/5
I had a really disappointing stay at this hotel. The food was awful — I ordered the avocado toast and it was honestly inedible. To make matters worse, there was no fridge or coffee machine in the room, which is pretty standard for most hotels. The room itself wasn’t very clean either, which made the whole stay feel uncomfortable. Definitely not worth the price. I wouldn’t stay here again.
- 5/5
Thank you so much to stuff for their care. It was really nice they take me earlier than check in because I was with my stuff (bags) and they just give me the room earlier. Thank you!!! Will come back!
- 5/5
Jared went above and beyond, and was the most kindest. Everything was beautifully executed. Was extremely happy with my stay. Thank you!
- 2/5
Two times our towels were not in the room once we got back. Apparently they don’t have food credit. Even though booking still says they do once you book.
- 2/5
They came up with a bucket of ice and a plastic Ziplock, along with the bandage wrap. There was also a protest happening that their housekeeping is being treated unfairly. If I would’ve known this, I would’ve never supported this hotel. The location is on Main Street and of course there’s no parking. The valet guys were very nice though I feel bad for them
- 5/5
Jarrin and Jared were super helpful :)
- 5/5
I have nothing negative to say it's was a excellent experience
- 2/5
It’s 3 stars now need construction
- 5/5
Great hotel. Best showers in LA. Needs a freshen up, but it’s my go to place anywhere near Beverly Hills
- 4/5
It is an old hotel, but it's kept in good condition, although on the first day we were only provided with bath towels that have seen better days - no hand or wash towels, one had a hole on it. But I have to mention that it had an excellent location. The morning front desk shift - May 20 & 21 - female and male attendants made an excellent team. They were very friendly, courteous and very professional.
- 5/5
Good location, nice stuff
- 5/5
The my stay at the Cameo fantastic from start to finish. The staff is extremely kind and courteous, they deserve 10 Stars! The rooms were spacious and the view from the balcony was phenomenal. Plenty of restaurants in the area, with it being in 5 minutes away from the heart of Beverly hills. If you're looking for a place to stay while your in Los Angeles, I highly recommend staying at the Cameo
- 3.5/5
Staff is great and it is a pleasure to be returning - to see their welcoming smiles. The water pressure in the shower is perfect!!! I would say, the best in LA so far. The location is great! I found smoking sticks in my room (905), and my white socks turned grey when I walked in the room without slippers. No slippers were provided, and I had to use my own ones. The terrace on the ground floor is not the same as before - it now has walls and no view at all. The room was outdated and had very limited storage capacity. The toilet was broken on the side, and it was leaking. I had to call for service. On top of that, I forgot my laptop charger in the room when checking out, but when I returned back in two days no one could find it.. Overpriced.
- 5/5
Great hotel for BH
- 3/5
Location and nostalgic feel No coffee station in the room! Protester outside my balcony!
- 2/5
Super thin walls. Rolling protests. Door lock issues. Nothing really redeeming. Staff was solid though.
- 4/5
The Food and drinks are over priced for the amount and quality you get. There should be entertainment such as games pool table , and music at each bar. But the white room that we stayed in is Exceptional!
- 4/5
Good location and clean
- 3.5/5
Not full service
- 1.5/5
Housekeeping was awful; room was freezing and there was no heat; front desk unfriendly; bathroom very old and shower missing parts
- 3/5
We gave this hotel a 4/5 because while it was in a nice location and views are gorgeous, our air conditioning was out two nights out of the 5 we stayed. Considering it was in the 80’s and 90’s half of our trip, you can imagine how uncomfortable the room got at night. I had to complain and push for some time solution sooner than later because they originally told me it would take 3 days for it to be repaired and that isn’t going to work on a 5 day stay. They got it fixed but then it went out again on our last night. So the rating is high because if it weren’t for that the stay would have been near perfect except for the slightly inconvenient valet service. It’s expensive and not helpful when you want to be in and out quick. The AC being out was just a huge negative. I would stay again if I knew that was working.
- 5/5
This was well priced and very central to everything we required! Staff work, very courteous and always a smile. The only thing we didn’t have was a fridge. We didn’t really need it. We will definitely come back.
- 2/5
It was very cold, we asked for blankets, so no one brought. Someone's hair is on the towel, the sinks are draining for a long time. We slept at night, the water turned on in the shower, we woke up and were scared. There was a boycott on the street against the cameos of the Beverly Hills, people hanging their underwear.
- 5/5
We loved everything. Our only complaint was the lack of some sort of fridge.
- 4/5
The hotel was being painted and that somehow impacted the hot water. We were told to let the water run for ten minutes or so for the water to turn hot. Hotel is in a nice location, a 20 minute walk to Rodeo Drive.
- 2/5
The hotel neglects to tell guests, until after they arrive and cannot cancel, that there are protestors who arrive at around 6 or 7 am every morning beating drums and yelling through bullhorns for an hour or more. It is an awful place to stay as a result. The staff are nice — it isn’t their fault. But it is inexcusable that Hilton doesn’t warn people that their unwillingness to hire union housekeepers creates a horrible place for guests to stay. I am furious and should receive a refund. I was in town for work and was exhausted because of the morning “serenades.” Do not stay here.
- 1/5
Terrible stay
- 5/5
I had an absolutely unforgettable experience, thanks to your incredible team and the warm, professional service throughout my stay! This trip will forever hold a special place in my heart, and from now on, your hotel is officially my #1 choice. I’ll be recommending you to everyone I know who’s planning to travel!
- 3/5
Balconies were all under construction and I was not informed upon booking or ahead of arrival.
- 5/5
Cameo was great for my stay! They made sure to accommodate my special requests which I really appreciate! I was told about protest before arriving which concerned me but thankfully it did not interrupt my trip at all. I didn’t not hear or see anything from my room. Valet was also a great help to me, Thanks to Jimmy and the older gentleman who made it go seamlessly.
- 5/5
Upon checkin we made a review on hotels.com saying that we wished we had patio furniture on the balcony, when we came back from shopping furniture was delivered and set up on our balcony. That felt above and beyond for the hotel to do and so quickly. The staff and food on site were fantastic and would highly recommend this property for anyone visiting Beverly Hills/West Hollywood.
- 2.5/5
Location was amazing, close to everything and safe. The staff were all excellent. Personable, professional, polite, and sincere. The size of the room was nice and large. The 1st class feeling came from the staff. From valet (ran to get my wallet I forgot I the car) to front desk (everyone smiled and was very nice) , to. Room service (fastest I ever seen) . 5 stars on staff. The bed was not comfortable to this beverly hills standard. The pillows smelled funny, sheets didn't feel clean and crisp. Room overall felt old and dusty. Second floor room right next to street gave us racing cars all night on our last night. No refrigerator in room. I can forgive everything but the smelly pillows, old sheets will make me think twice when I have to come to Los Angeles again.

Some of the staff were amazing, other were rude and not helpful at all! Wouldn’t help me and my boyfriend find my bags they said they would hold in the lobby, eventually did. Outside our room door it smelled like pee the whole stay & our balcony didn’t have any patio furniture. The thermostat barely worked, mattress a little lumpy and dull pillows. My stay was only for a weekend so I didn’t say much but for $150 per night for a deposit…I want the works ! Pretty room & lobby, but Take it for what you will.

Checked in at 3pm. upon arrival at the room, the balcony was covered with plastic and could not use the balcony. i am attaching photos of the balcony. there was no electricity for at least one hour. the hot water was not working. could not take a shower. when I went back to get a different room they told me its all sold out and the they will have someone come and remove the plastics as soon as they are done painting. I specifically booked the room with balcony facing beverly hills. I have stayed here in the past when it was called Mr. C's. i have never encountered any issues. the balcony cover was never removed. I did check out around 9, I just could not take the situation anymore. this was unacceptable. I just feel so upset that I wasted my money for this facility. I will never return to this hotel and I will for sure contact my credit card company for a complaint and hopefully my money back. the parking for 6 hours was 77$. its absolutely a rip off.

Amazing staff..The valet and the front desk! They only give you one small towel which should be changed. Glad renovations are in progress because it needs some updating.

There continues to be a protest against the hotel ever morning from 7am until late in the evening. Be prepared to be woken up with a megaphone. We stayed for 6 night and 3 of those nights housekeeping missed doing our room and we did not have any towels. The only good service you will experience is from the valet. I would look around for other hotels in the area.

Overall was ok. We received room with view on Beverly Hills side and got completely opposite side. Also we took room with 2 queen beds and got room with two twin beds. Not sure what is going on but there were some protests in from of hotel addressing issues to the new owners. Maybe all this was due to that. Other than that it was really great. Stuff tried to make up for all of it and that was super nice

We were unpleased that our room was not ready for a couple hours after check-in. We were exhausted. We didn’t make a fuss of it, we understand things do happen. The view and comfort of the room made up for it!

Very cute hotel

The area was quiet, beautiful and at a walking distance to Beverly Drive with many cafes. It is close to Rodeo Drive and shopping areas too. During our stay there was a daily Union Demonstration that stared at 7 am under our window with loud noise of drums and chanting. Was a annoying but worked like a wake up call too!

Amazed.

The hotel was nice and had a good location but the ongoing strike and labor issues are not acceptable for a luxury hotel.

W had towels in our room that had blood on them and our sheets had to be changed due to stains

Not a 5 star hotel at all! Hallway smell bad, old property needs renovation Windows were not soundproof and on fifth floor still we could hear traffic noise! Very expensive parking, ($77 per night) Staffs were helpful and polite Food at the restaurant was so good but service charge This hotel can’t be considered 5 star
