The location and staff were excellent. Valet and reception both Sunday evening and Monday morning were helpful and friendly. Walked to Farmer’s Market for dinner, had dessert and breakfast at Swingers Diner, which is good food and service. The A/C was noisy and a bit musty, but we didn’t need it much.

Friendly service. Clean. Great location. Great price Nothing
- 3.5/5
Very good location especially for the price. Staff were friendly. We were woken up every single night at 3am due to the restaurant closing beside the hotel. The noise from the restaurant is significant during closing so I would recommend ear plugs if you do stay here.
- 2/5
Throughout the night, the room constantly vibrated from what sounded like refrigeration equipment below. The noise and vibration made it extremely difficult to sleep, and there was very little that could be done to resolve the issue during our stay. My suggestion to management would be not to sell these rooms at full price, or at the very least to clearly disclose the potential noise and vibration issues. Charging the same rate as quieter rooms doesn’t feel fair to guests. It’s disappointing because the hotel has so much potential, but the room experience overshadowed what should have been an enjoyable stay.
- 5/5
Old but super clean, vintage retro vibes. Rooms had everything you need. Staff was helpful and I would recommend. Sucks how they don’t include parking and you have to pay an extra fee. You need luck to find parking close by even though we always however we did have to pay street parking.
- 5/5
We have stayed here many times and always have a great experience.

Great location and a cool concept. My room could have been nice but it was in need of a deep cleaning. Linens were clean but everything else was slightly grimy.

This hotel has a really cool retro vibe but definitely has a few rough edges cosmetic wise. For the most part it was clean and the beds were comfortable. There was some dust on the shelves. First night there, no food in our room but we woke up to a few fruit flies in the bathroom, Location is super close to the grove and short uber ride to the West Hollywood nightlife. Next time, I would look for street parking on the side road of the hotel instead of the $40 a night valet. Overall, good for the money but do not expect luxury accommodations. I’d stay again a couple nights

Location Feels dated needs a upgrade
- 1.5/5
The beds were comfy The valet was very rude, there was dust and stains everywhere. Parking is shown as “courtesy” for hotel guests but they seem to make the price up on the day - One day it’s free, the next it’s $38.50, the next it’s $49.50. The 1 day we did use the valet, the car was returned to us with a big scratch on so definitely don’t recommend.
- 4/5
Room was unique and comfortable but could use some deep cleaning. The carpet and sofa were stained. Towels were terrible! So rough, gray and stained. Staff was amazing and friendly. Valet was easy but wish it was free considering there is no other parking option. Overall, it was a cute place especially for the price. Update your towels and I’d definitely stay again!
- 2/5
Our power went out for half the noght on our hotel , Really caused a bad experience
- 2/5
It was a great place to stay until the staff meeting or not. They were not helpful when the requested room was not available anymore and they moved you to a different room and didn’t offer anything in compensation. Also parking is $45 which is not mentioned in booking. It used to be free.

I liked the location and the decor. The hotel experienced multiple power outages during my one-night stay. Only the hotel and the attached diner were affected, the rest of the neighborhood had power. My room became very hot and I was unable to sleep. Overnight staff were not very sympathetic. It was laughed off by the desk clerk when I was asked about my stay during check-out.
- 3/5
The property is adorable but the rooms are pretty dingy and kinda gross - especially the rug!!! If you book, pack room shoes! Also the air is very very loud.
- 5/5
very clean cute hotel
- 4/5
The location was perfect for getting around the Hollywood area. So close to Grove area. The decor and vibe was very cute with all the 50s/60s fixtures and features a nice touch. The room was very spacious and the bed was huge. The diner next door continued this retro feel and served great, filling food. The air conditioning in my room wasn’t working but luckily the temperature outside at night wasn’t too cold it didn’t really affect my comfort. The reception team also allowed me to change room if needed. Although I was only able to do this at 12/2pm which would have cut into my day of exploring so I chose to remain in the room I was assigned to. Other than that the stay was great.

Barn door style bathroom doors. Ac had a hard time keeping up. Not a bad place to stay just lower expectations. They do not clean the rooms often during the stay as well

Great location, lovely staff. Spacious rooms well decorated. It’s a little noisy given an old build. You hear people dragging their suitcases on the paths as the walls are a thin. But otherwise still a great location

I have had great stays here and so so! The stay this week was ok, though it seems the next door neighbors had a get together until after 11 pm. I do not think they thought they were in the wrong. We had to rest early for an early morning.
- 5/5
We had a great stay here, room was cute and clean and the location was very convenient! The swingers diner attached to hotel was very good as well. Only drawback for us was how early the pool closed (8pm) would have loved a late night dip!

The look of the hotel was nice & very retro. There was a power outage when we got there, obviously not their fault. But when we walked into the lobby there was the Front Desk Woman, the Valet & the General Manager who were all staring at us when we walked in they didn’t say hello until I actually got to the counter, it was very strange. The front desk woman looked a little disheveled with her hair messy & shirt very oversized & not tucked in. The look of the hotel did not match with the look of the staff. Getting into the room everything was pretty old seeming, chips in the paint on the furniture, dust everywhere & just gunk in little crevices. There was a bullet hole in the window in the bathroom as well. Overall I didn’t like much, if we were staying there more than one night we would’ve looked for a different place to stay but we were only there for one night thank goodness
- 4.5/5
The corner suite was spacious with king bed. Comfortable bed and very large bathroom. 50's, 60's vibe, nice pool area. Swingers Diner next door great for meals and hotel walking distance to Farmers Market, The Grove, Peterson's Car Museum (awesome), Academy museum, La Brea Tar Pits etc. Some furniture like the lounge needed updating.

Location was perfect short ride to all the places we wanted to go. It was a short walk to the farmers market where we had a great breakfast and lots of shopping. The whole hotel was decorated in a retro theme. The restaurant that was attached is where you got ice and they were open all hours and the food was great. There is a valet stand and private parking my daughter and I felt safe at the hotel during our stay. We stayed in room 210 the air conditioner was not working it was a weekend and maintenance was not there to repair it they offered us another room but because of our schedule we were not able to move they gave us a second fan and we asked for a discount on the room which they accommodated but because the weather was temperate everything was fine. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Los Angeles.

We enjoyed our 4-day stay at Beverly Laurel Hotel. Our room was clean and included a mini fridge and microwave. We enjoyed cooling off in the pool and relaxing on the pool deck in the lounge chairs. The hotel is walking distance to the Farmer's Market and the Grove as well as many great restaurants. We had dinner and breakfast at the diner next door which was delicious and affordable. The hotel provides valet parking but we parked on the street in our daughter's neighborhood which was an easy walk and allowed on weekends. We plan to stay here again next time we visit LA.
- 5/5
Quiet at night despite the hotel being nearly full capacity but there was a bit of long term daytime construction noise on the west side of bldg. Clean, bright, spacious rooms! Fun diner next door added to the convenience!
- 4/5
The room was pretty clean, staffs were very friendly. Kind of disappointed that they don't provide any water, had to go to the near gas station to purchase water bottles.

I found the hotel to be quite wonderful really nice beautiful room. The staff was amazing. I definitely will be back.
- 2/5
This a motel, 2 stars max. Smells like a motel too. The ac unit broke twice, the front desk person at night was not at all helpful except I was offered a box fan. There was staff rolling heavy carts outside in the middle of the night. Redeeming qualities: the shower, the valet, the room size.
- 5/5
I loved the vintage retro vibe. Very cool and chill Wish the Swingers cafe next door would deliver to the hotel rooms

The new rooms are renovated, but the mattress is not very comfortable. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. The pool area is small but nice. The location is ok, walking distance to The Grove and a short ride to Beverly Hills.
- 5/5
Air conditioning was a bit noisy, humming. Towels could have been a little better quality- not very plush.
- 1/5
Professional pictures can make any place look good.. the moment I walked into the room I knew I wasn’t staying… No A/C turned on just widows open with rusty screens… the whole unit just looked defeated and sad from the chipped Formica to the gray rough thin towels
- 4/5
It was great location and the restaurant Swingers next store was very good. The hotel itself is a little tired like Hollywood. The air conditioner was loud and struggled to keep up. The room was cute but the carpet was dirty. For the price and location I would stay there again.
- 3.5/5
I didn’t like how I had so much people walking in my room because they said I was already checked out when I didn’t even check out I even had a maid walk in on me with nothing on
- 5/5
I loved the aesthetic in general. We enjoyed our stay so much
- 5/5
It was great! Nice place to stay
- 2/5
The room we reserved was to include an in-room 2-person bathtub. The tub did not have a drain plug and the Hotel would not/could not provide one. So it could not be uses. It's one of the main reasons we chose this room aside from it's location. So the ammenaties were falsely advertised. Additionally, the room had a lot of ambient noise from the building mechanical equipment and there was no closing door between the toilet and the rest of the room. so there was privacy while using the toilet.
- 5/5
Great looking place I'd happily stay at agin.
- 5/5
But other than that, everything else was great. And if it had been explained better, we wouldn't have used the valet service since there are plenty of parking spots nearby.
- 5/5
The staff is excellent. The rooms spacious. AC perfect. Next door, the diner is great in case you need to walk to get a coffee or a meal. I would absolutely stay again.
- 3/5
Clean modern room. Large space with a desk and spacious bathroom. The air conditioned was broken, the offered free valet parking or cancellation. It was last minute so I had no choice.
- 5/5
Clean room, great service, excellent location
- 4/5
Same great price for the location. Unfortunately upon checking in they informed me that the AC in my room was not working and so they put a fan in my room. The first fan didn’t work so I had them replace it and that one worked. The guy who checked me in waved the parking fee as a way to make up for the inconvenience. LA was in the middle of a heatwave and during the day the room was somewhat warm but it was fine at night and in the morning. I did have to keep the windows open which allowed for a moderate amount of noise. I’d go back but will maybe skip it for my next couple trips until I think their AC problems are fixed.

Great stay at The Beverly Laurel Hotel in West Hollywood — an excellent value for the location. Perfectly situated near Melrose, The Grove, and about a mile from the La Brea Tar Pits, LACMA, and the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, it’s an ideal base for exploring LA. Rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable, and having a mini fridge and microwave was a nice bonus. The bathroom was large and nicely updated, featuring a great rain shower including shampoo, body soap, and conditioner dispensers. The standout is the design — a beautifully maintained mid-century modern style. If not for the flat screen TV, it genuinely feels like stepping into the mid-60s, with authentic details throughout. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Valet parking is available, and there’s limited metered street parking nearby, which is free after certain hours. The hotel also has an elevator, which is convenient for accessing upper floors. There’s even a vintage diner next door open until 3 AM, which adds to the charm. It’s not a luxury property, like stepping back into a stylish 60s postcard, but overall it’s a fantastic, well-located stay. I’d definitely stay here again. Housekeeping is basic — rooms are clean, but service may not feel thorough or frequent unless requested. Lighting in the rooms can be a bit dim, which fits the retro vibe but isn’t always practical. Pool area is decent but fairly small and can get crowded, with limited seating. Also, since it’s a motel-style layout with exterior corridors, you may experience more foot traffic, outside noise and less privacy. Overall, nothing deal-breaking, but small inconveniences that add up depending on your expectations.

My son lives in the neighborhood and recommended the Beverly Laurel for its proximity to Swingers, a great diner adjacent to the property. My room was immaculate—simple decor, comfortable bed, rainmaker shower, and plenty of room to spread out with a yoga mat. The pool was a big bonus for me—swam laps each evening before dinner.

Love the Beverly Laurel. Great location. Close to The Grove, Cedars Sinai, BH, WeHo, Melrose… really convenient. Great MCM vibe, super friendly staff, comfortable rooms. We always get a « suite » with a little living-room which I highly recommend. It’s not super fancy and can seem a little tattered, but it’s a bargain and extremely welcoming. Good hipster diner in the corner and great coffee place across the street.

The room was a bit small but we loved the 50s style accessories and appliances. The microwave and fridge were really quite cute. We did not enjoy the shower because we stayed during Xmas week when the temperatures were in the 40s at night. The HVAC was a wall unit so the air did not circulate into the bathroom as there were no vents in there, so showering with a half open door was quite cold and uncomfortable. We also didn't feel like the water temperature ever got hot enough to our liking. We did love the adjacent restaurant, Swingers, and ate there all 3 nights of our stay. They have a large selection of choices and the food was delicious. The fact that it opened early and closed late, were big advantages. The hotel staff was incredibly nice and very accommodating. It was located conveniently nearby our places of interest, so it perfectly fit our travel needs. It is also located less than 2 miles away from The Grove. Would definitely stay here again, but most likely during the spring or summer seasons when cold showers are not a concern.

It was a nice place, retro vibe, everybody is friendly. Would be better in warm weather because the pool area is really cool, i was there in December.

How can you have a “romantic suite” with one of the bathroom doors missing? This made for some very awkward times.

This hotel is suitable for a business trip. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, but the shower took a long time to get hot water. I was pleased with the staff's service; they were polite and did everything quickly.

Lived the retro vibes, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Only issue was the air conditioner was broken but thankfully it was cool with windows open. Would definitely recommend this hotel and plan on coming back again!

Great staff but that was about it's only perk. Had to pay a daily resort fee for a pool with a heater that was not working? The mini fridge was broken and was like a freezer instead. Rooms only cleaned after so many days which leaves you with over flowing garbages and damp towels and musty clothes as there is zero ventalation in the rooms. Not in close proximity to many attractions.

I enjoy staying here as this is a nice place in a great area and also on top of Swingers. One change I hadn’t expected was the valet / parking cost is no longer included as part of the resort fees (it had been around the same time last year), which had heavily influenced the decision to rent a car knowing there would be no additional costs or fees, so that was an unexpected surprise I had not budgeted for. Also we had stayed in the ‘romantic suite’ with the round bed, and although this room was huge and cool, it is not very romantic when there is no actual bathroom door so you can hear and see everything your partner is doing with absolutely no privacy… it looks like there used to be another door in there, but it had been removed for some reason so there is only one door that swings with no lock etc. which also gave the whole room a bit of a dated and run down feel. So definitely a bit of a weirder vibe this time around. I would still stay here again but this is the type of thing to be aware of beforehand that would have been helpful information when selecting a room, rental car for the trip etc.

Only negative I have to say is that the noise above our floor kept me up pretty often but I am also a fairly light sleeper. It sounded as if someone was stomping at all hours of the night. It could have just been the location of my room. Other than that everything was great and I would absolutely stay here again!

our experience with this hotel was unfortunately very disappointing. Upon arrival, we found the room to be in an unacceptable condition, with clear signs that it had not been properly cleaned or maintained. Due to the unsanitary state of the accommodations, we felt it would be inappropriate and unsafe for our family to stay. As a result, we had to make last-minute arrangements to book a room at another hotel, which placed an unexpected financial burden on our family. We had already paid for this reservation and were forced to spend additional money to secure suitable lodging. This situation caused unnecessary stress during what was meant to be a relaxing trip. We hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves the quality and upkeep of their rooms so future guests do not have to experience the same inconvenience.

The staff was very friendly and the shared spaces of the motel were really cool. The room, on the other hand, was nothing like the picture. There was a huge tear in the carpet and The bottom of my feet got dirty from just walking barefoot in my room.

Room was clean. Would’ve liked more pillows. But for a one night stay it was fine. Room was clean and just big enough for family of four. The diner next door was good. Valet parking could get expensive on a longer stay. I would stay again.

Room was super cute and the location was great. Valet and front desk service were both professional and friendly. Only complaints are the cracked window, and we thought the bed was a little uncomfortable.

I loved my stay at the Beverly Laurel Motel! The location is unbeatable — right in the heart of LA, within walking distance of The Grove, great restaurants, and everything you’d want to explore in the Fairfax/Mid-Wilshire area. The mid-century vibe gives it that perfect touch of Hollywood nostalgia, while the rooms are clean, comfortable, and surprisingly quiet for being so central. The staff was friendly and helpful, and parking was a huge plus. The attached Swingers Diner makes mornings easy — great coffee, good food, and a laid-back local crowd. Overall, it’s the perfect mix of vintage charm and modern convenience. I’d absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a stylish, affordable LA stay.
- 5/5
Love the location and retro vibe. Super friendly staff. We stay here several times a year and we feel like family.
- 5/5
This place is so cute! Definitely adds vibes to your trip and everyone on the property was super friendly - flexible with me being early to check in and letting me hang by the pool a little after check out. Would definitely recommend / book next time I’m in LA.
- 1/5
i had worst experience in my life
- 4/5
Chicly dated room vibes. Room is great place to crash for the night not great for much else. The pool is gorgeous and in the right season lovely to hang out. The area is urban feeling with a bit of grit but excellent proximity to delightful shops, food and entertainment. Would visit again and appreciate the value of what we got!
- 5/5
highly recommend, staff was great, location was perfect! it was a cute, retro hotel!
- 3/5
The shopping was good at the grove air conditioner in room was ok staff didnt help at all with luggage getting it all out taxi and into hotel and the same leaving which was disapointing also had to ask for towels all the time
- 5/5
Perfect place to stay at an affordable price for couple nights stay with the family 4. Clean, friendly, nice pool to chill out in, great diner down below when you need a good burger or a drink late at night or desert. Short Uber ride to lots of places of interest. Great farmers market food hall and high street shopping just 8 minute walk away. Highly recommend.
- 5/5
Excellent, helpful, friendly staff

Good location but room is old and noisy
- 5/5
The guys were easy going and helpful.

Love the mid century mod restoration of this old motor lodge. Loved my room and the property, it was perfect for my stay. Convenient and moderately priced—for a no-frills hotel this is pretty great. Nice staff too.
- 5/5
Great budget friendly retro and stylish property. The whole staff is exceptional and helpful! I highly recommend using valet parking as street parking is nonexistent and only permitted residents can park on the streets.
- 4/5
Property was clean, cosy and a motel like
- 1/5
Well for one when i got there were cops out front because someone was robbed that was staying there. Then when i went inside the room smelled like wet dog. And then went to lay down and i noticed the sheets and bed cover were dirty and there we hairs in the bed from previous person stayed there. And then i asked to be moved to another room they said that they were all booked up. Then i asked for new bedding they said it would have to wait until the morning. So i had to sleep in my clothes on top of the with a towel.

We're visiting from Chicago and this is THE primo spot to visit and travel back and forth from. It's not too touristy and if you plan to take the metro, the avenues and intersections are easy to navigate and take. There is local food places, grocery stores and chains within walking distances that make staying here feel accessible and comfy. Its a charming, LA hotel that hit all the marks.
- 5/5
My go to hotel anytime I’m in the area for a show! Love the vibe, staff always friendly, very clean, great valet!

I always stay there when I need a quick stay

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here at the Beverly Laurel. For the price I paid, the vibes were great. The pool was cute with great tunes. The rooms were clean. The location was central to wherever I needed to go, it's all a 20 minute drive somewhere. There's a great diner in the lobby. They let me stay till Noon and now I'm working on my laptop by the pool before my flight. I appreciated the low price I paid, compared to other hotels that charge double but are not better. It gives motel vibes, but it's not. It's just cool, and was clean. Everything was great to me. Dig this place, i'll be back.
- 5/5
Nice retro hotel with great vibe. Cafe on the corner has great food. Highly recommend.
- 2/5
Broken window in bathroom let blinding sun in making it difficult to use mirror to get ready, room was in deep corner with no outside light, couch was filthy, rainfall shower only—no option for higher pressure, housekeeping did not replace enough towels after cleaning, pool area chairs were dirty
- 3/5
Thin walls. you can hear everybody walking around and talking ..still.. Classic old Hollywood hotel. Cute style and easy access to the city.
- 5/5
Gorgeous vintage hotel, excellent location and staff.
- 4/5
I really like this hotel. It’s charming. Successfully retro without trying too hard. Attached diner is very convenient with great hours. Staff is incredibly accommodating. Room is spacious and bed is comfortable. I had two issue this stay: children SCREAMING endlessly at the pool and I was placed close to a housekeeping hub which was SO unnecessarily loud. I would stay again in a season when the pool would be less utilized and request a room far from the housekeeping hub.
- 5/5
Everything was amazing, only thing that sucks was the parking fee, but other than that everything was awesome
- 5/5
Everything was perfect from the friendly staff at check-in, to the spacious room, stayed in one of the suites. Attached diner open late. Definitely staying here again!
- 5/5
Great place once you get inside. Lots of construction going on outside when we visited some made the area around it hard to navigate. Other than that absolutely great!
- 1/5
Tv not working, staff not helping
- 5/5
Generous coffee supply, lovely retro hotel, friendly stuff
- 5/5
This hotel is so cute. A very short walk to the Grove for dinner. Im glad we stayed here.
- 3/5
Note: There is only valet parking in the underground lot under the hotel. You must pull up on Beverly Boulevard at the front of the motor hotel and the valet will take your car from there. Parking is $38.50 a day with in and out privileges. If you need anything out of your car, you can go down into the parking area after getting your keys from the valet. Also, there is a $20 a day ‘fee’ which I would hesitate to call a resort fee like a lot of the hotels like to refer to them. Certainly can’t be a resort fee here because this is not in any way shape or form a resort. It is a motor hotel as it says on its sign. seems like the $20 a day extra fee is just another way of getting bookings on Expedia at a lower price while then charging you more once you get to their hotel.
- 5/5
I liked how close everything was. The bed was nice to sleep on and the facility felt very safe and clean
- 5/5
Great place near everything. Lots of cafes and restaurants nearby. Valet parking was a breeze. Attached restaurant has something for every taste. Love this place. Will stay again.
- 5/5
Great staff
- 5/5
Great sday, great staff, highly recommended – I’ll be back – five stars!

GREAT STAFF
- 5/5
It was a very pleasant stay and we had a good time. The staff were friendly and the rooms were clean. It was easy to get to places and transportation was easily accessible. I recommend this hotel for a great trip.
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay at Beverly Laurel. It was a cute retro-style hotel in a great location. Our room was nice, noticed some weird stains on the couch but we just threw one of the blankets on over it. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. There is a charge for the valet parking but it was convenient and the staff was friendly during our entire stay. The pool was nice with a lot of lounge chairs and cute swinging rattan chairs to enjoy. Overall, we would recommend Beverly Laurel to anyone wanting to be in a good location near Hollywood and The Grove. Thank you to the staff!
- 5/5
Great experience great location and service! Huge shoutout to Marlo! He made our experience much better and easier checking in and out, valet service was incredible room service is super nice
- 5/5
Great experience at beverly laurel hotel! Definitely going back again! Huge shoutout to Marlo! He is super helpful and sweet made the whole process 100 times better and easier! The location is great and very safe very clean and it was one of the most enjoyable experiences in LA
- 3/5
Parking was valley only and told by the front desk that you could park on the street but it was not safe.
- 4/5
Hotel was not new but was ok, cleaning done in each 3 days, room was big enough but the wardrobe and bathroom were in the same place so we couldnt store our clothes inside (it was open) the staff was helkpful and friendly also valet service was very good
- 5/5
Probably the best deal in West LA. It’s not the nicest hotel but for the price and location it’s worth it. I’ve stayed here several times and I don’t really have any complaints.
- 3/5
The location was safe and clean and the staff were wonderful. It’s not as up to date as the photos reflect though! If you’re looking for a clean, inexpensive, safe, budget-friendly, no frills place, this is your place! We felt safe there, had everything we needed, staff were overly helpful and gracious! It’s very quiet! It was an experience for sure!
- 3/5
I had to ask 2 days in a row to have my room cleaned even though I asked at the desk each morning. They charge a "resort fee" for cleaning and parking but are reluctant to actually provide this service!
- 4/5
Fun and quaint vibe. Mid-century modern motif. Clean pool. Was happy with room size and layout. However my AC did not work. I had two units, and neither functioned. But, that was only a minor inconvenience.
- 3/5
Loved the retro theme and idea but the property is very limited and lightly staffed. Was checked into a dirty room at first, then had to stay in a two queen for one night. Appreciated the staff trying to resolve the problem quickly.
- 3/5
Couch and bed mattress were wore out!!!! No support. Construction noise next door at 7 am to 6 pm. Walls are very thin hear conversation in other rooms. Good servixe, location, and parking valet
- 2/5
The staff was excellent but that is where it ends. I was truly disappointed in the room's cleanliness, the noise, and the lack of amenities. I also got a bug bite. I ended up changing hotels but I will say I appreciate the front desk staff handling my early departure with grace.
- 1/5
They didn’t communicate to me what I needed to bring with me at the time of checking in after I called the hotel three times for a confirmation. As a courtesy, I wasn’t reminded by the receptionist at the front desk to bring the required documents such as a physical credit card. I have a credit card, but it’s digital., but they didn’t accept it. They refused to give me my room regardless of me already paying for it at the time I made the reservation (a week ago). I had to borrow the debit card that belonged to my seventeen year old son. I arrived to the hotel exhausted after driving on the freeway for eight hours.
- 5/5
Loved this accommodation, bed was comfy and close walking distance to the Grove.
- 1/5
Staff is nice but there is no bathroom exhaust fan
- 4/5
Older, very clean, comfortable beds. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Great little cafe next door. We will be back
- 1/5
We couldn't use the room toilet, no maintenance at the hotel, we cancel our plan for this day
- 5/5
My new favorite place to stay in WeHo for biz. Love the hotel layout w rooms around the pool, and mid-century modern attention to detail. Gotta love the “I Love Lucy” on the loop on that old fashioned TV!
- 5/5
Very nice simple and park your own car!
- 4/5
It has a highly-ranked diner restaurant connected to the building. It's a little expensive but features great tasting food and a nice staff. This is a plus. We had a generally good experience staying at the Beverly Laurel but I did want to provide a few points of constructive feedback so the hotel can continue to make improvements and grow: 1.All rooms should feature a safe in the room to lock up valuables. We could not locate one in our room and wanted to secure some valuables. This is a standard feature of other hotels. 2. All rooms should feature a security chain lock on the doors for extra safety. This is a standard feature of other hotels. 3. The bathroom inside of our room had issues with ventilation causing it to steam up after 1 shower. Even opening the window did little to help this. I recommend the hotel invests in a bathroom ventilation fan. Overall, we would recommend staying at this hotel since it provides a good value for families.
- 3/5
Mattress and pillows are extremely uncomfortable very disappointing
- 4/5
Nice room and close to my daughter
- 2/5
Not recommended. Old towels, no lampshade, not changing the beddings, old washroom need renovations
- 5/5
Lovely stay. Easy and convenient, especially with the diner downstairs and free valet parking! Much appreciated, would definitely stay again.
- 4/5
Everything was perfect however there was a strong cleaning supply odor in the room
- 4/5
Great location, fun vibe!
- 5/5
Very clean
- 5/5
All staff was great, some electrical issues in room that was shared with front office staff
- 5/5
Vintage property modernized. Also, as an open space motel the rooms were not climate control. Don’t expect ac, but it gave a general idea of what early LA was about. Only stayed a night, but was definitely a place Id consider again since Melrose was just a brisk walk.
- 1/5
I didn’t even get to go. Couldn’t figure out how to change my dates for two days instead of one. How do I get a refund?
- 3/5
It’s a motel with an LA
- 4/5
Great hotel, great location have stayed numerous times when in LA
- 5/5
Hermoso hotel y la atencion un diez
- 3/5
Rug is torn from one end to the other, and basically workout and dirty. Also the added resort hotel fee is ridiculous. $35 for what? And another $35 for valet parking?
- 2/5
My husband and I stayed one night at the Beverly Laurel for a doctor appointment nearby. We arrived late and left early so we didn't utilize any amenities except for valet parking. The valet was great upon arrival, very polite and friendly, no issues there. Check-in was great, Melissa was very friendly and helpful with getting to our room. The hotel itself is super cute and retro, which we loved! Once inside the room we found cute decor, but the carpets were badly stained and old and it just made you feel dirty all over. We would not have stayed had it been more than one night and had we arrived sooner we would have asked to change rooms. It was that bad. The tap water when brushing teeth, washing face smelled of rotten eggs, they need a water purifier or something. We let the front desk know when we left about the issues. Valet is open limited hours so we had to go downstairs and search for our car as it was not inside the small parking garage. Car was fine, but definitely not secure as you would assume with valet parking. It was out in the open for anyone to break into (not the best area).
- 4/5
Good price for the area, basic rooms and amenities. Valet parking is fast and convenient. Staff is supper friendly.
- 4/5
Carpet was dirty. But the apologized for it.
- 4/5
Staff is super friendly. Vibe is really retro which I enjoyed. Feels a little old and “motel-y” but room was very clean and quite spacious. Elevator was out of order but luckily I was on first floor with luggage’s. central location with gym and coffee shops across the street. I would recommend for the hotel to put grippy stickers on the shower floor to ensure people don’t slip while showering.
- 3/5
Very boutique vibes here - small LA hotel. Felt like I was in the scene of a Tarantino film. The elevator was broken which was a number but not the end of the world - that being said if the elevator was broken I feel the 35 dollar fee should have been waved. The room itself was updated but thin walls. Bed was clean and comfy. Nothing to write home about but very retro vibes and was good to get some rest after a long work event. If I were in my 20s this would be a cool experience. Staff was very friendly though.
- 3/5
Was a little noisy at night , room was good although mattress way too soft
- 3/5
Good location, nice decore, very poor acoustics, one can hear everything from all sides was quite annoying. Its a motel not a hotel
- 5/5
Super cool place. A lot of thought went into the interior design. Fantastic cafe connected to the hotel. Awesome!
- 5/5
We stayed in the suite and couldn’t have been happier. Large bathroom with 2 sinks! Comfy circular platform mattress! With the blinds open the room glowed with the green neon, loved that!! Drapes closed easily and completely blackened the room for sleeping. The staff is always incredibly nice and you can’t beat complimentary valet parking. We keep coming back!!
- 4/5
It was good
- 5/5
Cozy hotel, great location, friendly staff. Swingers diner around the corner serves great food. Will be back!
- 5/5
The staff and service were excellent! Will definitely be looking to stay there next time we visit LA.
- 5/5
Always choose the BL when staying in this area. Service is always so friendly. Great rooms, pool area, and location. Love that valet parking included in property fee. Clean comfy rooms and quiet. Highly recommend.
- 5/5
Wonderful retro hotel with spacious rooms. Pillows were the worst: hard and lumpy. Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay.
- 5/5
Always love staying at this hotel when in LA. Great walkable area around the hotel. Perfect location
- 5/5
Loved my stay at this hotel. Friendly front desk, valet included in hotel fee. Cute retro vibe, pool and clean/comfortable room!
- 5/5
The hotel was perfect. Loved the bathroom and the bed was super comfortable. I liked the vintage motif
- 5/5
I stayed here for two nights. The front desk gentleman was kind enough to upgrade our room as I explained it was my birthday. The swingers diner is excellent, albeit quite expensive. It was a great stay
- 5/5

A fun Mid-century modern vibe. Staff super friendly. Not the Ritz, but a great value. The diner that’s in the building is a real plus. Don’t miss a trip to the thrift store across the street.

Very cool mid-century modern motel vibe. Staff super friendly. Excellent value for the price and location. The diner that’s in the building is a great bonus. A visit to the thrift store across the street is a must.
