There is no free breakfast and the parking is very limited which costs $20. No other issues. Had no problems with safety on a Thursday night.

Affordable and very clean room, pleasantly surprised by a very comfy bed, great water pressure, and even a balcony. Two really cute bars walking distance. A bit more expensive on weekends but will definitely book again next time I’m in LA.

This is the second time I’ve stayed at the Aiden and both times the rooms have had mold on the windows . The AC was broken and sounded like a lawn mower. When I complained to staff they said “Oh No” monotone, lackluster and in unison seeming very disingenuous. They also stopped doing breakfast. No point in staying.

The security came into question when we returned to the location at 11 pm on Monday night. We noticed that all the entrances into the hotel, including access to the elevator which accessed the rooms, were open directly to the sidewalk at the street. There was no staff at the front desk or anywhere in sight. When we arrived Sunday afternoon to check in, the young man behind the desk was helping a woman with her bags, but gave us no acknowledgement at all. We waited at the desk for nearly 5 minutes for him to return. He was not friendly nor helpful. He did not fill us in on anything the hotel had to offer, such as the times and days the bar was open. He answered only exactly what was asked. I have worked in service positions and know how customers should be greeted and treated. Bad days needs to be put aside in favor of being a positive representative for your place of employment. He did not give a good first impression of your hotel.

The traffic/construction and school noise right across the street is pretty jarring. The room was very clean albeit, smelled of smoking. The sundries were very nice and the shower was great..

Breakfast is obsolete for months now, but it is still advertised and need to be removed. Besides that the stay was excellent and there was a shop onsite that sells coffee which was nice so I didn’t have to leave the facility.

Our reservation for three people was not properly processed by the hotel, and we were given the only room available upon arrival. The staff did not offer any apology, and one of us was expected to sleep on a sofa bed. Later, we discovered that the sofa bed was broken and unusable, so one person had to sleep on a small sofa without being able to stretch their legs. No blankets were provided, and we had to go to the front desk to request them. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience.

The toilet clogged right away and we had to fix it.

They just added a bar, so if you want drinks, you can stay there. Very friendly staff

The room had poor soundproofing. The guests next door played music until late at night, and I could not fall asleep. I would recommend that anyone sensitive to noise think twice before booking.

It’s an amazing Chinese themed property with a gated courtyard and plenty of authentic decorations. A great room and plus they had the dragon dancers come in the courtyard. It was amazing.

Parking was horrible, vehicles get blocked, because they park them to close to each other and behind. This can lead to a huge hazard. They also double charged my card when checking in and didn’t return it.

Staff was super kind, but the room was clean but my bed was uncomfortable. The sheets were super hard and scratchy. There was nothing open when I came back from the game and it is not a 13 minute walk to Dodger Stadium. I’m a little frustrated because that was one of the reasons why I stayed there.

Made a reservation. Arrived. Tried to park, was given hassel about that. Went to registration with my bags. Was told ALL the elevators were busted. Been that way for months. Our room was on the 4th floor. We could take the stairs if we wanted. Nope. Found another place. It almost seemed like they WANTED us to not stay there. Hmmmm...

The elevator was broken. No sign in parking lot and carrying luggage 2 flights was not fun. Room was nice and staff at breakfast was very helpful. Desk clerk was efficient but cold when called out on elevator not working.

Chandler, my new buddy at the cafe/new breakfast area. Exceptional customer service!!! He made excellent coffee that was FREE. He was very kind and to us and my daughter who is autistic and had some difficulties asking for a muffin. He made us feel so welcome it was exactly what we needed feeling so far from home. The rooms were very clean and nicely upgraded. I will definitely be back.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We loved the breakfast and the location was great to attend a Dodger game.

The elevator was out of service, and I just had a knee replacement so it was quite a challenge to be on the third floor, with an additional 3 floors from the garage to the lobby.

The elevator does not work as of the time of this review and appears to have been dysfunctional for at least a month based on other reviews. I overall enjoyed my stay and would stay again. My only real gripe was the AC unit in the room would cause the window to vibrate making a terribly loud noise, thus we had to turn the AC to low and could not go higher otherwise it sounds like a jackhammer.

I really enjoyed staying here. The location was close to the Train station so easy to get a ride to and from. The hotel was nice and very clean and comfortable! The staff was friendly and helpful and very courteous. The hotel was close to good restaurants and many amenities such as hair and nail salon, pharmacy, boba tea. We received free breakfast that was delicious and more than you can eat. We would absolutely stay here again in the future.

Noise was also a big issue — by 6 AM, the sound of traffic, trash trucks, and construction right next to the hotel made it impossible to get any rest.

I stayed two nights I got charged for three. They were supposed to take the third night off per Expedia because I checked out early and it was approved but they charged me for all three nights even though I only stayed for two.

Extremely "rude" "manager" very sleezy hotel disguised as a remodeled facility. Street rat infested. You get what you pay for. They owe me a refund.

This place was an open air hotel... which is a cross between a hotel and a motel. I wasn't really a fan of the concept. It wasn't packed with frills (the elevator was broken). The room was alright, seemed clean, updated but not detailed. Shower was nice but lacked real pressure and was quite narrow (I have broad shoulders and barely fit). Service was adequate.

Spotless clean and surprisingly, breakfast buffet breakfast that was really great. The 2 ladies attending the buffet were AMAZING and very attentive to help. Reception istmwas very kind as well. Very affordable place that exceeded expectations!

The room is ok. Elevator broken. I was there for 4 night and had to climb 3 fight of stair every time from the parking lot to third floor. Breakfast is complimentary but nothing special there. Very basic breakfast. Whoever manage this “motel” should be fired for not fixing the elevator. Elevator still broken when I checked out. The neighborhood is not so great either. Most of the shops are closed and lots of homeless people walking around. They don’t bother you or anything but it’s not a good sight. Only things good about this motel is the staff. They are friendly and has a great attitude. And they called this Best Western Plus, what a joke.

We arrived to checkin and the elevator was out of service. As a senior citizen it was not appropriate to have us drag our luggage to the lobby. We got to the lobby and the clerk tried to check us in but then informed us that we would need to drag our luggage up 3 flights of stairs. Nobody told us the elevator was out until we had already booked. The clerk said “I just work here.” We decided to leave. The clerk said they would cancel the room but then went ahead and charged us anyway.

Staff was very helpful with local suggestions for travel/safety of area. Room was clean, up to date, enjoyed the traditional look of the outside of the hotel. Very close to all attractions within Chinatown, free breakfast is a nice perk for the price within LA.

We checked in late. The room had a terrible smell to it, and the room window was left open I guess to air it out. When I asked if we could have another room I was told I would have to pay an additional $250. So, I refused, and we were stuck with that room. When we went down to breakfast as soon as we walked in the lady ran and got right in our face like we did something wrong yelling tickets. well, we had our tickets in hand, and she waved us in. Mind you other guests came in that checked in after us and she greeted them and asked for their tickets kindly. This went on every morning of our trip until the last day the lady finally greeted us. The rooms are big, but I won't stay there again the rudeness of the workers especially the two ladies that do the breakfast was a lot, and I had to rewash my clothes twice to get that odor out of them. There was never an apology about the room. I will never stay at this hotel again its cute, and it looks just like the pictures, but everything shuts down early and the people are just unkind, and I felt very uneasy staying there. I barley slept and couldn't wait to go home.

My family and stayed at the Best Western Plus Dragon Gate inn during the whole LA ICE riots, police sirens, helicopter and curfew. Despite all that, the front desk was unbelievably helpful, kind and courteous. Superior customer service. The cleaning staff were super nice. Never encountered any issues when I asked for extra towels and water bottles as we were 4 people in 1 room. Breakfast served was self serve and it was the same items everyday. However, this was not a concern for my family and I. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Doors and windows are too thin. Was not able to sleep with all the noise.

My family and I had to wait 40 minutes for the 2nd shift front desk clerk to clock into her shift and process our check in. Apparently, the employee before her ended his/her shift at 9:30 pm. But we had arrived at 9:25pm and no one was at the front desk. I wished we were notified about the check in time beforehand. There is nothing listed about the shift discrepancy for checking in on Expedia or their website. Besides that inconvenience, everything else was fine.

It's a solid choice given the area's options...big rooms, shower, no tub...AND if it's not Dodger game night, reasonable prices for downtown adjacent. I chose because parking was only $18 a night and downtown hotels are insane at $50+

The room smart tv doesn’t let you use Netflix, breakfast starts at 7am when other hotels start at 6 so missed breakfast do to having to go to work and parking fee is 18$

Love this hotel in the middle of China town.

Check in receptionist was exceptional. She explained and assisted in storing our bag and when we could check in earlier at a later time. Room was clean and spacious with water bottles available for us. Could hear traffic noise from room. Temp of shower not hot as I like & device to make it shower was flimsy - half from shower, half from tub faucet. Continental breakfast was adequate, not special. Walking distance to Dodger’s Stadium is uphill and takes 30-45 minutes for normal and older walkers. In heat it is challenging.

The service was okay. Wifi and ice machine didnt work. The bed was uncomfortable. Breakfast was the same the entire three day stay. The place was clean. That was the best part.

The front desk staff was very friendly. This was one of the cleanest hotels I've stayed in. Offers really good breakfast options too. A short walk from Plaza Olvera

The cons, however, would be that the area around was pretty filthy and the food nearby wasn't great. Also, there was 1 or 2 other guests that would suddenly be loud late at night. The way the hotel is built there's no way the front desk didn't hear it. Additionally, I'd only consider the hotel family friendly if you're not traveling with small children. We traveled with an infant and toddler and not having a crib or microwave ended being more inconvenient than we imagined.

We arrived about an hour early before check in and we were able to check into our room. Our room was very spacious and clean. The location was great we will definitely stay here again.
