Check-in person was rude. They charge $30 cash deposit (not in the listing), and even though it says "Breakfast Included" on the listing, you have to pay, and it's mediocre and cold.

Clean room, courteous and helpful staff. My room is small, but big enough for 1, so not a problem, and altho I didn't use them, there are parking and a pool. Recliners around pool for sitting and relaxing are nice. Restaurant has great Mexican food (and American tho I didn't try it). Also short walk to busy part of town/shopping/many clinics.

BED BUGS, FLEAS AND COCKROACHES, AND THE ROOM LOOKS NOTHING LIKE THE PICTURE. DO NOT STAY HERE!!! I FOUND AND KILLED A BEDBUG ON THE BED AND THERE WERE FLEAS COMING IN THE ROOM FROM OUTSIDE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE DOOR; WHERE THERE SHOULD HAVE BEEN A DOOR JAM, BUT THERE WAS NONE, AND A COCKROACH ON THE BATHROOM WALL NEXT TO THE MIRROR. IT WAS PROBABLY BASICALLY DEAD FROM THE BUG BOMB THAT MADE THE ROOM SMELL SO TERRIBLE THAT I ASKED FOR A DIFFERENT ROOM BUT THE CLERK SAID THERE WERE NO OTHER ROOMS AVAILABLE. I KNOW HE WAS LYING BECAUSE THERE WERE A FEW ROOMS AVAILABLE THAT THE CLERK OFFERED TO THE PERSON CHECKING IN JUST INFRONT OF ME. SO, DO NOT STAY HERE, OR AT THE VERY LEAST, DO NOT STAY IN ROOM 9 OF THE HOTEL'S SECOND BUILDING. I BELIEVE THAT THE CLERK PUT ME IN THE WORST ROOM THEY HAD BECAUSE I BOOKED THE ROOM ON THR INTERNET AT A MUCH LOWER RATE THAN WHAT THEY NORMALLY GET FOR THE ROOM. JUST SAVE YOURSELF THE NIGHTMARE OF DEALING WITH WHAT I HAD TO DEAL WITH. WHEN IT COMES TO THIS HOTEL... EVEN IF YOU GET A GOOD DEAL ON THE INTERNET, IT DOESN'T MEAN YOU WILL GET A GOOD ROOM AT THIS HOTEL. ACTUALLY, IT WILL PROBABLE ASSURE YOU THAT A CLERK WILL TRY TO PUT YOU IN ONE OF THEIR WORST ROOMS.

I'm just going to be honest. I had bed bugs in my 1st room. The staff got me in another room right away but it didn't leave a great impression.

Dirty. No products, no hair dryer, horrible, small bed.

This is the second time I've stayed here. Don't expect the luxury you have in U.S. hotels, but the rooms and property are clean, the staff is fantastic, and the on-site restaurant and bar is great. Only drawback is there was no heat available in my room. Don't know if other rooms have heat available. Would I stay again? You bet I would.

Beds were ridiculously hard, as were the pillows. Room was small, but ok. Couch was dirty. The staff were very friendly and tried to help in any way they can. I would suggest that the owners replace mattresses and pillows. Definitely overdue for a redo. I appreciate the rides to the dental clinic, but got dinged on the deposit as i had some blood drool on the pillow case. No problem, my drool. Restaurant attached is sub par, however, the cheesecake was perfect! Service was great, drinks even better! Don't book a room around the pool. Smokers, and lots of noise if you are looking for an early night.

Air conditioner worked well. Hot water was a little sketchy but had enough. On site restaurant was great with a decent bar. Staff was great. Didn't use the pool but it looked wonderful. I'd definitely stay again.

The pool area is a little in need of painting. Our room needed a night light repaired. Everything else was perfect. Minor things don’t matter because they fix everything if you let them know. Will continue to stay here. Expedia said there was room for 29 a night but when I tried to book it wasn’t available. However the

Then there is the staff; I’ve never seen such kindness. We aren’t talking just professional formality but being treated as family. From the front desk (Maria and Adrian) to the manager (Lupita) to the housekeeping and wait staff. These people are the kindest, most patient & want to do everything they can to make your stay perfect. And the Owner, George, is such an incredible kind soul, I looked forward to seeing him every day, the most interesting man too. He went out of his way to make sure I got coffee every am, to even getting peanut butter left in my room as I mentioned I liked that for breakfast because of dental issues in conversation never expecting anything from it. Just a couple of many wonderful things about the owner. I will always come back here and I was never so sad to leave, I cried because not only did I leave a beautiful place but I felt like I was leaving a new family who adopted me. I’ve stayed at gorgeous hotels around the U.S and Paris but this was up there in my top 2

Friendly and helpful staff. Clean room and facilities. Good restaurant and coffee shop attached. They hold a $30 deposit or your ID against staining any linens, blankets, and towels with blood, or anything else, as they host many dental tourists, which is fine, but with everything being white, they don't provide anything to sleep on or wipe and clean with, like a colored towel or pillowcase in case you do happen to bleed from work done.

A very wonderful experience! Prices are fantastic! From food, pharmacy, doctors. People are so nice and accommodating! Great place to shop and doctor visits! I've been there three times in an eight years span. I'll do again!

I liked the friendly staff and guests, the coffee bar, the upstairs bar and the good, reasonably priced meals, the yummy donuts, the little swimming pool, the location.

We stayed in a suite meaning it had a kitchen with a table. But there was only one chair with the table, yet two people for the room. The towel shelf in the bathroom was not attached to the wall and fell on me in the middle of the night when using the bathroom. It was dark due to electricity being out from a storm. Headboard on bed was not attached. The TV was too small, but english channels wre available. The bed was firm. All of this may make it sound bad, but it really wasn't. The room was clean but just needs some TLC. Dining and prices were very good.

Clean place

I didn't like that there was smoking allowed around the pool, I enjoyed sitting out at the pool but that seemed to be where everyone went to smoke because there were the large cigarette ashtrays there. I enjoyed the restaurant for dinner and margaritas, food and beverages were tasty.

I arrived early and they let me check in then I get out with my day. What was really good about this property is that it has a coffee shop with pastry and also a restaurant that serves really good Mexican food so it was very convenient for the type of trip I was on

Like a "home away from home." I am so thankful for this hotel! They make trips to Los Algodones so much better. Staff is hardworking, friendly, and a true pleasure to be around. Honestly cleaner than the hotel's that I have stayed in across the border in Yuma. Thanks for everything! Highly recommend this hotel. I'll be back!

My second stay and it was as good as the first.

Personnel were friendly and efficient. The premises and my room were very clean. There were 3 restaurant choices and the service and food was good. Unless I wnated to use the pool, which I didn't, I'd ask for a room away form the pool next time.

Everything was an excellent service

California comfort suites is our go to hotel whenever we are in Los Algodones. The rooms are comfortable and clean, the people are friendly. The pool is lovely as our little restaurant and donuts stand on premises. The people are so friendly and will get the pharmacy to bring medication to you. If you aren’t feeling well enough to go out and get it yourself. They will also pick you up or take you to the border, and or your dentist. The entire staff is there to make you happy and make your visit easy.

This is a wonderful hotel with comfortable beds and a restaurant on site. The staff are very helpful and the rooms are very clean. We asked for a room by the pool and they gave us the perfect one. There was cold water in the refrigerator. Love this place.

The room was immaculately cleaned, and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were very helpful. The little restaurant downstairs - thought tuned for a midwestern dental patient pallette, was good. (read tasty but bland). The only ding, was that trash was let to sit in an outside waste basket, and given the 100 degree plus heat, was starting to smell. For a budget place to stay while getting dental work done, this place is almost perfect.

2 time I have stayed her, was here for 5 nights. Last time I was here, they had my room cleaned spotless everyday. This year, I could not get Fresh towels. It was a complete reversal & will impact my decision to stay here in the future. Other than that, it is a nice property.

Close to Dental and Optical tourism and the border

The hotel was nice; however, the internet and the cable were not reliable.

This trip was special after my spouse got back from a long trip to Indiana. We had a great evening in town drank a little bit to much lol but were safe and had absolutely no problems get back to our room. My wife enjoyed the pool and we slept in the next day. The pool needed cleaning on Saturday and the staff was informed. Looking forward to enjoying our next trip together.

Good service

Excellent customer service. Unfortunately the town’s electricity went out for several hours so air conditioning was unavailable. It was no fault of the hotel. I will definitely stay there again.

The staff is FANTASTIC and eager to do what they can to help your visit be comfortable, productive and fulfilling, providing rides and advice with a smile. Nothing is eco-driven, in Mexico so you have to own that yourself. Yummy towels made showering a pleasure. Restaurants on site were convenient and tasty.

Hotel staff were very friendly. Rooms were clean and great meals at reasonable prices at the restaurant. The hotel offered free transportation to the border crossing. Highly recommend to anyone.

Once again this property is great for a night in Mexico. Parking is a challenge with a big vehicle so this time rode my motorcycle

Great place for a weekend getaway

This was our first stay in Mexico; we usually stay at a motel in Yuma. We will definitely stay here again.

The room I had was ground level but very quiet. The TV had ample movie and viewing options. A/C was also very quiet (mini split). I love being able to use the pool at this motel; very convenient and relatively private. Staff are friendly and helpful and they offer complimentary shuttle service.

The girls at registration could have been more helpful. For instance, since I had to walk a bit down the road to get to my hotel room, they should have let me know when i registered that I would need to return the TV remote and the thermostat when I was going to check out.

I did not like moving around when told them that I needed to stay an extra day, but other than that it was perfect for us. I thought that it was going to be like TJ. and it absolutely was not at all.One needs to understand the people to really understand them. Those people are just trying to make a living.

Basic room, clean and tidy. Third floor, no elevator just lots of stairs. Deadbolt lock on room door did not work only regular key lock.

The staff are friendly and responsive. The facilities are well kept and everything works. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. It was very convenient to have a restaurant on site with good, reasonably priced food.

I stayed in Los Algodones for dental implant surgery at California Comfort. Their shuttle made it very easy to get to my room and to my dentist. It was a great experience.

The personal need to be more cordial

I stayed at this hotel a total of 8 days in three separate visits within a one month period. The staff are super nice - Laura (front desk) is friendly and helpful. The food at their restaurant is inexpensive, delicious, and the portions are generous. The tortilla soup is outstanding. The steak tampiquena is my fave. I honestly can’t say anything negative about the property. I enjoyed the food so much I ate all my meals here. The coffee shop just off the lobby opens at 7am but I was always able to get fresh, hot and strong coffee earlier and never was treated like an inconvenience. I have more dental work to be performed and am looking forward to my stay here.

The room was really nice. It was across the street from the hotel in a suite. For the price, it was an absolute amazing room. I enjoyed the bathtub a lot.

Room with out windows

Parking is limited, cluttered, unsafe, no coffee maker, or microwave. Units can be 2nd, 3rd floor, or far down the road, so, it is challenging for an elderly, or someone with bad back or legs, 2 guests could be one here and one very far down the road and that is inconvenient. Pool hours are too strict. People should use the pool early am. No ice maker. Ice is a small amount from the restaurant. Internet goes in and out, and so is phone reception. Dentists do poor quality, make patients come back and back, used to do the work the same day, but, now, make everyone need a hotel. It is becoming a gimmick. I went 4 times and my denture is all crooked and huge. I am miserable. My expectations were high. Very disappointed. Most restaurants are very overpriced. Food not very good. Vendors overprice things beyond belief. Charge 150 for a 39. item.

Friendly staff

This property is a great location for those going down for dental care in los Algodones. It is very clean and convenient. The staff is limited so service can be very slow and sometimes rude, but eventually everything worked out perfectly. My only complaint was that when I checked in with my 84-year-old mother I realized I was on the third floor. I asked if there was a lower floor and she said no After carrying all three loads of our personal items up three flights of stairs, she saw my mother and realized we needed the lower floor, then moved us to a room that she miraculously had on the first floor so I had to carry all my stuff three flights down three trips again. The beds are very comfortable, but the pillows leave a lot to be desired. The room in the photo was not the room we had. There was barely enough room to walk around the bed. Be sure to have your Netflix sign in because most all of the TV programming provided is in Spanish. There is a great little restaurant downstairs as well as a fantastic donuts/coffee shop. This was our second time staying here and we will definitely return for the convenience and cleanliness.

This is a good place to stay while you have your dental work done. I feel very safe here. My room is comfortable. The food in the restaurant is good.

The bed is too high to get on for old people.

The property was reasonably priced and a close 5 minute walk from downtown. Parking was a bit of a challenge with small spaces and employees were using it as well taking up parking spaces for guests. Had to wait to park around 10 o’clock inside near our room. They did fine me an outside space until the space inside was available. Overall the stay was very good and I would stay here again.

I've gone to Los Algodones 10 times in the past 4 years and I've always stayed at California Comfort and Suites. The rooms as clean and comfortable, the staff is amazing and I've always felt completely safe, even when traveling alone. Plus, the coffee at the Coffee Time Cafe is excellent!

Overall property was good for just sleeping pool was very dirty with little bugs floating but staff was helpful and room was very clean

No comfortable chairs in the room. Spent a lot of time sitting on the bed watching TV while my wife recuperated. The room was clean and our stay was uneventful.

There are dentist and optometrist, directly across the street. The hotel has a great restaurant and Margarita bar. The menu has a good variety and the prices are way beyond reasonable. There is a big pool and lounge area in the courtyard. There's a bakery with the best donuts, coffee and Frappuccino's. And it stays open all day. If you need a ride, the front desk will get you on your way. It's very clean and inviting.

I stayed here for 4 nights while getting dental work done in Los Algodones. Super convenient and close to Dental Solutuons. My biggest issues…it really could be cleaner. I CHECKED. A little attention to detail can go a long way. The restaurant really made it worth it for me. Easy and affordable…and was decent. The staff was super nice and the coffee shop in the lobby was also super easy and the donuts DIVINE. Bottom line I was there for dental work like everyone else. So if you’re recovering and laying around in your room….please let it be clean.

Parking, is a challenge. BE patient as it works out. If you get freaked with driving in Mexico, then perhaps you shouldn’t be driving. Observation; when you’re barely able to park you need not be driving. Another cautionary experience, all the adult children say Thankfully the staff here is responsive.

Initially we visited for dental work, bc of Holy Week we decide

I have been going to this hotel for several years and I wouldn't even consider going to a different Hotel. The staff is always ready willing and able to help you with anything you need. The breakfast is $5 and lovely food.
